New Paracosm: Fly Me To Which Moon? (a.k.a Over The Moon)

That ask I got from paraesthetics kind of got me thinking, while I don't count this paracosm to be a full Fallout or Outer Worlds paracosm, I will say that this paracsom is heavily inspiried and kind of a combo of the two with a little bit of Top Gun (kind of)

Fly Me To Which Moon ? (a.k.a Over The Moon) is about the newly promoted Xander Caspin, after his team successful defeated a group of mutant lizards that were living out of the abandon factory, that same abandoned factory was pollution a nearby towns local water supply, leaving the townspeople only to live off of soda from the varies vending machines (that was suspiciously placed there after the pollution ) and alcohol.

Xander and his crew belong to an organization that wants to clean up the mess that has been made by the big corporation, also known as The Big C,. The corporations promised to bring a new cost effective way to grow and make more food, and lessen the growing pollution problem called Project NewGro. In the 20 years of NewGro project has brought but nothing but abandon factories spewing toxic material, new dangerous species of animals, and can to table food rather than fresh farm to table.

The organization Xander belong to, helps smuggle fruits and vegetables that are hard to come by in any town that has been " helped" by the big corporation, fruit and veggies usually grow plentiful in areas with low civilization but highly dangerous mutated creatures.

One day, a bunch of new recruits came in, one of those recruits being Corisaria Caia, botanist who has been researching a way to bring fruit and veggies from the old world back, her true dream is to be able to have all the stuff to make an ancient food known as Pizza. Cori theorizes that with a little reverse engineering and cross pollination she'll be able to make that dream come true.

The organization leader thought that Cori would be the prefect addition to Xander's team, despite Xander's dismiss. Xander is not the type open up to new people easily, in fear of losing them. Knowing this organization leader has them pair up alone on multiple missions together to improve their teamwork.

While Xander plays hard to get with Cori, teases her alot, makes her go on random frivolous fetch quest on her own (since he is commander and all), and makes fun of what music she likes to play during their on her handiwork ( think pipboy) and in the rocket on the way to and from. She does not give up, she will help increase the supply of organic food, while adding her own version of old world food (that is thoroughly tested, until like SOMEPPL *cough*BigC*cough*) make a pizza one day, even if it kills her!

Will Xander and his crew be able to defeat the BIG C, and bring peace across the gaxlaxy, will Cori ever get to taste the sweet savory taste of pizza and be able to share it with everyone, will Xander and Cori end up being OVER THE MOON for each other?

Anyways, here's a playlist I made for Xander, just to show what vibe he gives off, he's kind of an old head, and the story is set in the way future just with retro futuristic aesthetics (like Outer Worlds, and Fallout kind of)

Just thinking about how the Pit Stop Ln cars for newbies, or bumpers, are AFEELA Prototype 2024 cars. That’s what I get for playing Gran Turismo. 🏁

Also the next sections for Bumper are going to be Khelsey, T’Rei and Oliver since Uvi’s is done.

Welcome to February! The beginning of the year was a bit quiet, as it usually is, but we have a few offerings!

The Phantom of the Opera by Dara Kwan is a new adaptation for children aged 6-12 from Pop! Lit. The book seems to follow Raoul as the main character, which might mean we don’t get the Persian’s perspective, but we won’t know until we read!

Leroux Less Traveled is a neat new one - a podcast based on the original novel by Leroux, with discussions of its events and characters chapter-by-chapter! They’ve only released episodes for the first couple of chapters, so get in on the ground floor now. (If nothing else, the French pun in the title is a delight.)

Phantom Heart by Medusa Maehem is this month’s “maybe it’s related, maybe it isn’t” outlier: it appears to be a genderflipped Phantom situation, with a leading lady who is severely scarred from past traumas and avoids letting people see her as a result... but her love interest is a few thousand years old and possibly a god, and also Atlantis is involved? Read to find out more, I guess!

Cyber Phantom by Dr. Paracosm is a science fiction novel set a thousand years in the future, and features a masked vigilante with cybernetic prosethetics who is making a nuisance of himself to the rest of society. For bonus points, there are aliens in this universe, and no one is quite sure what species the Phantom is...

had an idea for a novel (novella?) and now it's all i daydream about, unfortunately actually writing an outline and shit is Hard and daydreaming about the same five scenes over and over is Easy

Favorite werewolf media??

Hm hard to say. I usually seek out media containing demons/ghosts as media containing werewolves often focuses more on the vampires and I find most Werewolf portrayals lackluster. Mainly due to them never being the focus/having minimal screen time.

The only thing that comes to mind is Monster High. I've thought about watching The Originals as I think werewolves are more of a focus, and Teen Wolf but I have a feeling the romance there will annoy the hell out of me.

There's this one artist on Instagram — cusstardii — that had this webcomic, I think, with his werewolf ocs? Never read the comic but the art was nice and I liked his werewolf lore.

Other than that I can't really say unfortunately. Getting into new media is hard for me unless a fixation takes hold or it contains something related to my special interests.

Ok so a long while back I had a story with a trio of main characters who each represented a core aspect of the world they were trying to protect: the natural, the technological, and the magical (a human, a sentient AI, and a shapeshifter witch)

and then a few years later I made a sequel to it with a new trio and somehow by complete accident made them represent the same things as the first trio except this time combined with elements of another aspect (a human who finds out he's more magical than he expected (he's a demigod), a shapeshifter being who relies on tech for communication and accessibility (he can only turn into a few things and none of them are very expressive or mobile), and a sentient android that looks so human almost nobody can tell he's not (even his best friends))

and the whole point of the first story was those initial three protecting their world from people who wanted to separate or eliminate one of the three elements (trying to get rid of magic and technology altogether), and the reason why i wrote the second story was to write something a few decades into the future showing the impact those first characters had in bringing those elements together. and i accidentally put the perfect themes into the new main trio
