Jason loves Danny so much, but he can't give up being Red Hood. When he tells Danny this, he says, "I'm sorry, I love you but I can't give up Red Hood." He unintentionally leaves out "being", which would have cleared up the whole misunderstanding
Cut forward to a week later, Bruce just wants his son to be happy again. He's not sure why Jason and Danny broke up- Jason won't talk about it- but he's sure if he can just get them to work together they'll work it out. He calls Phantom in to help on a case in Gotham, saying he believes a ghost is involved. Phantom is a member of Justice League Dark, but he's also mostly retired from the hero buisness. He only comes in for ghosts and world-ending threats. His civilian identity is only known to a select few, Bruce being one.
Bruce pairs up Phantom and Red Hood for a stakeout.
It's rough. Red Hood doesn't understand why Phantom seems so uncomfortable around him, why he seems to dislike and distrust him so much. Sure, they've never met and Jason's reputation isn't the best, but still, this is a bit much. So he pulls Phantom aside to get answers.
"What the hell is up with you? What did I ever do to you?"
Phantom startles. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean for it to effect our teamwork, it's just a personal thing..."
"A personal thing? That made you hate me."
"No, no, I don't hate you," Danny insists, "Not really. I just- So I had this long term boyfriend, right? And I loved him so much, but then I found out he was cheating on me with his boss and I made him choose. He chose you."
Jason is notably confused. "What? I'm not dating anyone, let alone one of my goons," he argues. "In fact, I just had the love of my life break up with me. I don't know if I'm ever gonna date again, let alone go around stealing boyfriends."
Phantom seems upset by this. "Then how do you explain me finding your coat and helmet in our bedroom? He was always sneaking around with these terrible excuses and I tried not to pry because I love him more than I ever thought I could love anyone, but clearly something was up. I knew what it was when I found your things..."
The whole story was already hitting too close to home for Jason, but this really sealed the deal. There was no way... "Wait, Danny? Danny Fenton?"
Danny blinks, "Yeah? How did you figure me out?"
Jason rips off his helmet, "Because I'm your boyfriend. You thought I was cheating on you? I thought you wanted me to stop being Red Hood."
"Jason?! You're the Red Hood?" Danny is spiraling. "Of course I thought you were cheating on me, you had your boss' clothes. Except they're your clothes. Ancients, I feel so stupid."
"Danny, I would never cheat on you. You never have to worry about that."
"It didn't seem likely, but what else was I supposed to think? Why would I have come to the conclusion that you work as your own assistant?" Danny buries his head in his hands. "I can't believe I broke up with you over a stupid misunderstanding..."
"So," Jason ventures, "You don't care that I'm the Red Hood?"
Danny laughs. "Of course not. I would never stop you from helping others, Jason, no matter what. I know I can be pretty protective, but I would never force you to choose between me and a part of yourself."
Jason digs in his pocket for the little box he's kept with him everywhere he went since he bought it. He knew the perfect opportunity would show.
"If we never had a reason to break up in the first place, then I'd like to ask you something I was putting off for way too long," Jason takes Danny's hands in his own and lowers himself to one knee. Danny's eyes are wide and watery, green in a way Jason had never seen them before but still undoubtedly the eyes of the man he loves. They had so much to talk about now, but it could wait. They had their entire lives together if Danny said yes.
"Daniel Jackson Fenton, will you marry me?"
Ok but does Danny find out about his horrible misunderstanding or does Jason choose and Danny has to realize he was wrong from an outsider pov?
I like the idea of Jason choosing Danny only for Danny to be concerned about Red Hood Vanishing...
Honestly it’s up in the air with me.
My heart says that they should figure out the misunderstanding, but not before some good old heart to heart between close family and friends.
But the angsty route where Jason has to think the needs of the many vs the needs of the few.
That’s some good stuff.
Of course, they would find out later when the ghost kings called upon to help the world.
#I'm sorry#i know this wasnt a writing prompt#but i couldnt help myself#i saw this post yesterday and this scenario has been stuck in my head ever since#i still dont know where the dialogue came from#i just meant to share my prediction for how your story would go and then halfway through i was writing my own thing#sorry again#hope you dont mind the unsolicited fanfic of your fanfic#anyway#they are in love your honor#and of course Danny says yes#thats a bygone conclusion#i havent written anything in years so hopefully i havent gotten too rusty#dp x dc#dead on main

Not the one I wanted to fight. Bad ending
Yesterday I posted the good ending of the story. Once again this is all based on @immastingray you can find the original piece here. Now. On to the bad ending version of yesterday. The start will be mostly the same, so if you want you can skip ahead a bit. WARNING this is a BAD ENDING when I say Roman and Virgil angst I mean it. Roman is not better at the end of this. There is only hurt no comfort! Enjoy. Though trigger warning for blood and like a lot of angsty stuff.
It was a beautiful night. The clear sky allowed for the castle to be bathed in the light of the full moon. The open curtains in the main hallways let in its near-magical silver shine both fading into the warm red glow of the fire and contrasting against it.
A loud clang and a joyless laugh echoed through the hallway.
“Roman Please!” Virgil called out desperately, tears springing to his eyes as he parried Roman’s next attack as he had all the ones that came before.
When Roman had started to teach him ‘the art of the blade’ he’d thought it was as a weird bonding activity, he never expected to actually need it. Alright, maybe he thought he might, but he’d figured that was just his pessimism talking. And even in his worst-case scenario, Roman had never been his opponent.
“Come on Virgil!” Roman taunted, almost dancing through the trashed hallway.
“You’ve given me more of a challenge during our warm-up fights! You can do much better than this!” He pointed out as he swung his blade glowing red with his… Pain? Fear? Anger? Virgil didn’t know.
He knows that the silver glow of his own blade is fueled by his desperation to get both of them out of this situation unharmed.
After Patton told him what happened, he’d immediately ran off to the imagination. He’d expected to find the destruction. An upset Roman was as extra as an excited Roman after all. His friend didn’t do anything halfway.
He’d feared that Roman would call upon a monster to fight that was too much to handle and get hurt somehow. That was why he’d called forth the sword Roman had given him as a present the first time he’d manage to unarm him during one of their sparing matches. It was designed with him in mind, perfect in every way, glowing with magical energy that fueled the blade with strength drawn from his emotions. It felt like a part of him at this point. And now he’d have to use it against the one who’d made it that way.
“I don’t want to fight you!” he insisted, willing the tears not to fall.
“Then perish!” Roman growled as he charged. Virgil jumped back.
“Roman, please we can talk about this!” he knew it wouldn’t help but he hoped it would buy him a second to think of something. When he found Roman he’d been in the throne room surrounded by paintings he’d slashed to bits. All bearing the prince’s likeness. Broken pieces of busts lay among the ruined frames. When Virgil called out to him and asked if he was unharmed… He’d been too slow to notice that Roman’s costume had changed. His sash turned gold, his costume a troubling crimson. And his normally subtle crown of woven gold with three ruby blossoms embedded was now a grand crown fitting a king rather than a prince.
Upon hearing his voice Roman had looked up with fire in his eyes and then… Something in him had snapped. He’d brushed the hair out fo his face and summoned his sword. He’d said something about the dashing hero arriving to take down the wicked king and charged. His movements had been full of effortless grace. Roman was playing around and until he became serious Virgil wasn’t going to even consider switching to offence. He still hoped to snap Princey out of whatever breakdown he was struggling with. Because… Roman was his friend, and Virgil knew what it was like to lash out in anger or fear. He wouldn’t cause the dramatic side more pain than he already was in.
“Talk!” Roman laughed joylessly. “Talk! That’s all we ever do. And what has it ever gotten me? Even when I do everything right, I’m still wrong!” he bites. As he makes a twirl and aims his sword for Virgil’s stomach. Virgil has no trouble evading it. That move was so obvious it showed that the purple-clad side wasn’t the only one holding back.
“I get it! I get it alright! I’m mad with Janus too. I’m not the enemy here Ro,” Virgil pleaded again.
Roman halted then and for half a second Virgil hoped that he’d gotten through to the creative side. But then he threw his head back and started laughing insanely.
“No… No you’re not,” he agreed, tears streaming down his face, his eyes wild and desperate, like a part of him was begging Virgil to… To what? Save him, stop him? “But you won’t let me go after him either will you?” he asked pointing his sword at him once again and cocking his head to the side expectantly.
Virgil wished he could say the truth in a way that wouldn’t make Roman feel like he was alone in this. “I can’t risk you getting hurt Roman.” It was the best he could do. Janus was not a pushover. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to deal with Remus for all those years.
And even aside from that… Virgil’s job was to protect. It was against his nature to allow any of the sides to come to harm. Even the ones he wanted to punch in the face on a daily basis. So he couldn’t let Roman hurt Janus either.
Roman scoffed and shook his head, not surprised. “Like you said, Virgil. You aren’t the enemy here… I am.” His face darkened and he locked their eyes. Roman’s smoldering like embers, the fire’s around them reflecting in them ominously. “So do your job Anxiety!” Roman commanded. Virgil felt his title cut trough him, sharper than Roman’s sword ever could
“Protect Thomas! Protect the others! Make sure that the mad king doesn’t cause any more chaos!”
Virgil shook his head, a tear finally escaping him. “I won’t! You’re not… Thomas needs you too!” he insists.
Roman’s face darkens, his insane smile turning to a sneer.
“Then let me pass, and know that what happens next will be on your hand!” he gowled as he charged. Virgil turned and darted around the corner. He’s faster than any other side and he needed to give himself some room to move. Once he was past the corner he turned around and saw Roman coming for him. They got halfway the hall with Virgil parying every blow. He wouldn’t risk letting his fight or flight instincts take over. He knew that the fight would be over in a second if he did. But he can’t guarantee Roman won’t get hurt in th process. So he can’t fight all out, he just can’t. Sadly Roman is done holding back. The only reason they are still evenly matched is because his mind is clearly all over the place. He lacks focus, but he’s using all of his strength and that is what Virgil is struggling with. Once again, should he give his all, even to defend himself, he might lose control and find himself victorious over an injured friend. He has to protect Roman. Even from himself. “Come on Edgar Alan Woe! If you keep holding back, you might lose. Who knows what I’ll do to the others if I were to go back? Or maybe Patton will come looking for you? It’s been a while already. Surely he’s worried about his ‘son’ by now! What will happen if he sees me striking you down? Will he be too shocked to defend himself when I come for him next?” Roman taunted. Something in Virgil stirred, and it must’ve shown in his eyes because Roman’s eyes lit up with eagerness. “I wonder if you’d still be conscious enough to watch me strike him down while he’s screaming your name.”
Virgil forced himself to stay alert. Roman wouldn’t, he’d never… He’d never hurt a friend. “He’s edging me on on purpose,” he reasoned trying to calm himself. “But I have to… I have to take a chance.” With that decision, Virgil charged in at last. Roman parried laughing gleefully. “That’s more like it!” They danced around each other for a little while like that, tears now streaming down both their faces, though Virgil’s face was a mask of furious grief and Roman’s one of a desperate glee. They remained in the middle of the hallway now that Virgil was done retreating the whole time and was jumping at Roman as often as he was jumping away and around him. It was half a moment’s distraction. Virgil had simply looked for an opportunity to give Roman an advantage, but in doing so had failed to notice and defend against the upcoming attack. A sickening sound of pierced flesh echoed through the hall. Followed by a sword hitting the floor and two bodies colliding as a shocked gasp left Virgil’s mouth. Then, an agonized scream. “Virgil! Noooo!” Roman cried out as he lowered Virgil’s weight into his arms. “Shit. Not how I planned it,” Virgil gasped. Clearly still too in shock to freak out. “Be still, Virgil, I’ll, I’ll fix you. I didn’t mean to I swear. You were meant to strike me down,” he whispered as he gathered the other side in his arms, his sword still stuck in the younger one’s abdomen. But you weren’t supposed to take it out right? The sword was supposed to keep Virgil from bleeding out… Gods, Roman could feel the blood leaking onto his clothes. What had he done? He was a monster. “Sorry. I mess everything up,” Virgil gasped with a sad smile as tears started to fall from his eyes. “You were wonderful Virgil,” Roman vowed as he looked around desperately before deciding to risk it and teleport to his chambers. There were potions here that could heal Virgil. “It was supposed to be your choice to spare me Ro… I didn’t… Should’ve paid more attention… So sorry. Don’t blame yourself…” Roman froze halfway to the cabinet. “You were intending to lose and surrender yourself to my mercy?” he breathed in shock. Why? Why would Virgil, cautious, second guess everything Virgil, do something so insanely risky? “You would’ve never let any harm come to me given the choice Ro. I needed you to see that.” Roman shook his head in disbelieve as he rummaged through the cabinet thought’s swirling trough his mind. “Why?” “Because… It’s my job. and… Oh, screw it. I’m going to say it. I love you guys. Your my FamILY. My Ohana.”Roman nearly threw the bottle of healing potion against a wall in frustration. He didn’t get it did he? He turned around to berate the guardian of the mindpalace, but to his horror he was faced with a still, pale frame. Impulsively he picked up the one bottle in his cabinet that contained a curse. It was insanity, but it was necessary. He dripped one drop of the sleeping curse on each of Virgil’s eyelids and effectively put him in a stasis. No matter what happened to him now he couldn’t die until the curse was broken. If Logan were here he might point out that they couldn’t die. Virgil would simply have to sleep this off. But Roman would argue that the rules were different in his realm. He was too powerful and Virgil had been hit not just by his blade but by all the anger he felt towards everyone else. So he rather not take the risk. He pulled out the sword and tossed it to the side. He vanished Virgil’s hoodie and shirt so he could clean out the wound properly. Then he applied the potions and stared long and hard ta the morbid spectacle that was a stab wound healing itself. Not until there was nothing but a single line of raised gleaming skin did he relax. He waved and found that instead of a replacement hoodie, Virgil now wore a lilac silk undershirt with a waistcoat in his trademark purple. The waistcoat had silver stichings on it in elegant swirling patterns. It made him look rather handsome. On his chest was his logo, pined like a medal of valor; On top of that he now wore a cape that was lavender on the outside, but a shiny silver on the inside. His cape was held in place by a pin that held Roman’s own crest. Normally, if Virgil merely had gotten wounded during an adventure and hadn’t nearly died he would’ve woken up Virgil to gush about his creation and the fact that Virgil now truly did look like a hero. But being the reason for his injuries, being the villain that made this hero fall… He felt sick to his stomach. How could he trust that he wouldn’t hurt Virgil again after he woke up? What if he got angry and Virgil tried to save him again? He raked a hand through his hair and his eye landed on the sword. It had been fueled by anger, that was why it had put Virgil in this condition. When they practiced it couldn’t cause even a scratch. Because during practice there were happy and safe feelings. But this hadn’t been practice, and neither of them had been safe… Janus… This was all his fault. It should e him lying there not Virgil. He had to be dealt with. Until then, Virgil would have to be kept safe. But how? He was far too stubborn to not do what he felt had to be done to protect everyone. Even that snake. No… Virgil could not be allowed to fall for his tricks. Roman carefully smoothed out Virgil’s hair as he contemplated his options. There was a spell that would assure him Virgil’s loyalty. He could slip him that after waking him up. Or he could just wake him up later. Leave him here, well guarded of course, until he is certain it’s safe to let him out. Virgil wouldn’t even have to worry about anything. He’d wake up from a dreamless slumber and everything would be fixed. “What would you prefer… It feels wrong to force your allegiance, especially when I, clearly, need you to ground me. But it also feels wrong to leave you behind…” Roman bit his lip and then a thought occured; “I could always remain here; Before long the others will look for us and I can take care of everything and still be nearby. I can even create a formidable guardian to ensure that Logan and Patton don’t get dragged into this. I could take down Janus and no one else would have to be hurt. You’ll wake up and Patton will be here with a hug and Logan will have some words of comfort and we’ll all go back to how it was before. How does that sound V?” Not waiting for an answer that won’t come Roman walks over to his sword and tucks it in his belt, pondering his options once more. If he’d taken a moment to look at his reflection, as he is prone to doing whenever near a reflective surface, he’d seen how worrisome his current condition was. His eyes wide, dried blood on his hands, and in his now disheveled hair. His once pristine clothes still in a darker color scheme but tattered and singed from the fight and the fallen candles. If anyone else was conscious in the room they’d be able to tell him that he was humming to himself and kept repeating “I will fix it,” over and over like it was the only thing keeping him alive. The Prince, was not okay. And the three sides approaching his castle would soon learn just what that means the hard way.

online dating idol!au Yunho x Y/N 2,5k filled with a fluffy meet-cute
ATEEZ’s new comeback has me feeling things for Yunho. I HAD to give him a little scenario inspired by this text post that has been haunting me ever since I saw it. Honestly that guy has me feeling things, and I couldn’t be more proud of his growth on his stage presence.
optional second part where Y/N starts to realize she might like Yunho more than just a friend.
“He looks cute.” Your colleague, but also friend said while you were both going through Tinder during lunch-break. Your account to be more exact. You had been in Seoul for almost half a year now, and your contract was supposed to end, but due to the corona outbreak, you were stuck in Korea. Not that you necessarily minded because you had made some great friends here, and life wasn’t all that bad, but you did miss your home country. You missed the connection with people who spoke the same language, and who had watched the same tv shows while growing up.
“They are all cute, but I don’t know, maybe I shouldn’t swipe right to Korean boys.” You mumbled while you swiped left on the handsome person.
“Why not?” She asked you bewildered. “Every man you swipe right will be a match.” She continued with a strange enthusiasm for your non-existent love life.
“Because I’m a foreigner?” You asked her insecurely. That’s precisely why you didn’t want to match with some random Korean dude. They probably had this adventurous foreigner imagined in their head, and well, you weren’t exactly considered bold. You also had some experiences with Korean men in your time in Seoul, and they weren’t all that great. The one telling you to lose weight was by far the best you had encountered.
“Yes, a beautiful foreigner, and you should use that in your advantage.” She told you forcefully before she took a big bite out of her salad.
“I don’t want to be someone’s conquest just because I’m a foreigner, you know?” You tried to explain to her, but she wasn’t having any of it.
“You don’t want a relationship. I don’t see what the issue is?” She asked you sceptically while she kept her eyes on you.
“I don’t want to be Someone’s prize, and I also don’t want to have a relationship. I honestly don’t know what I want.” You dropped your head into your hands, ignoring your food, having lost your appetite. Meanwhile, your colleague, Yuna, kept looking through your Tinder. You had lost your interest in the app a while ago.
“Hey!” Yuna exclaimed, making you jump up in surprise. You quickly grabbed your phone to take a look at the commotion.
“Isn’t that guy in a k-pop band? I forgot their name, but they’re getting more famous every day.” You told her excitedly. You swiped through his profile, and you were in awe by his beauty. He only had two pictures of himself, but his bio sparked something in you. You had to give it to the person behind the profile, he did a real good job at piquing your interest. He wanted to hang out with Someone who had the same passion and love for eating ramen in the middle of the night at a 24/7 convenience store. Oddly specific, and oddly something you liked.
“I think he’s from ATEEZ.” Yuna thought out loud, and you simply shook your head. There was no question about it, the guy behind the profile was not the same as the one in the pictures.
“Someone must be using his pictures to get matches. Which Idol would ever make a profile on a dating app?” You said while putting your phone back on the table.
“Only one way to find out.” Yuna giggled before swiping right on the guy who could or could not be an idol. She took another bite of her food as if nothing had happened.
“What!” You screamed in panic after watching Yuna’s actions. “Why did you do that?” You asked her while shaking her shoulders, trying to get her back to her senses.
“It was the first guy who honestly sparked some interest in you. What else was I supposed to do?” She asked you as she tried to ignore the eyes of the other people in the cafeteria. It wasn’t the first time the two of you were loud. Most people simply shrugged it off as another day at the office with two crazy girls.
“You should’ve ignored it. He’s an idol. He doesn’t have a dating profile on the most basic dating app of all. It is probably some ugly guy who couldn’t get any matches with his own pictures.” You explained to her while you lowered your voice. Some people got used to you and Yuna being loud, but you still wanted to keep a good reputation.
“You don’t know that.” She told you at the same moment your phone made the Tinder notification sound. You both looked at each other before she grabbed your phone.
“It’s a match.” She simply announced before giving you your phone back. You kept your mouth shut. It was a weird feeling to have a match. You looked at the heart and your two profile pictures next to each other. That wasn’t such a bad combination if you said so yourself. If only he was the guy from the photos. Still, it was nice to have a match.
“I should have done that sooner if I had known it would shut you up.” She laughed at your awkward state.
“I never thought I’d have a match.” You confessed softly while you were looking through his profile.
“I’ve looked into the guy while you were drooling, and I can’t find this picture online. What if it really is him?” Yuna asked you excitedly. She showed you pictures of him, and indeed one of the selfies on his profile was nowhere to be found.
“You work fast.” You laughed, but she simply shrugged at your behaviour. People in Seoul are indeed more open to the idea of blind dating than where you were from.
“Are you going to message him?” She asked you.
“He probably has a lot of matches. I’m not going to say something first. I don’t want to bother him.” You told her honestly, which made her roll her eyes in annoyance.
“You are frustrating. Yunho probably likes girls who take the initiative.” She said while getting up to throw her leftover food away. She also took your untouched food with her.
“Yunho.” You mouthed softly. “That’s a nice name.” You whispered more to yourself. You were staring at his profile picture. He wasn’t the most handsome man you had ever seen, but he had this aura around him that was so inviting. He looked gentle and innocent.
“Y/N! Just send him something.” Yuna said at the same moment, your phone lit up with a notification from Tinder. You both looked at each other in panic.
“Oh, my God! He sent you something. Open it.” Yuna screeched excitedly.
“What if it is a dick pick?” You asked her, concern taking over your body.
“If he’s really Yuhno that would be extremely stupid of him,” Yuna told matter of factly, and you couldn’t deny her reasoning.
Yunho: I was trying to come up with a good pick-up line but then I realized they’re lame, so all I have to give you is a hello. Yunho: Hello.
“That’s actually really cute.” You told Yuna while you showed the message you had gotten from Yunho. She simply nodded her head while you pondered what to answer.
Y/N: Titanic. That’s my icebreaker. What’s up?
Yunho: hahaha I knew you would be funny! Yunho: I’m having a much-needed break from work at the moment. Yunho: What about you? Yunho: Your Korean is really good.
“He’s a double text kind of person. That’s cute.” Yuna remarked. You thought it was also cute to double text. It showed he was enthusiastic to talk to you, and somehow this fact made you feel warm inside. It made you feel appreciated.
“He seems nice.” You told her before putting your phone in your bag. “Our break is over. Let’s go.” You said while getting up.
“Let me know what happens next,” Yuna demanded before running off to wherever she was headed to.
“I will.” You yelled after her, making some people turn their head in surprise. This time you didn’t care though.
You and Yunho kept messaging for a couple of days. Sometimes one of you didn’t answer for hours because the other was busy, but it never bothered you. It was a good sign that he was busy. Someone who had a life outside of social media was always attractive. You hadn’t heard from him for a while now, and you had to admit, you were starting to worry that maybe you weren’t as exciting as you thought. Perhaps he had another match. Maybe the other person was better at keeping the conversation going. You hadn’t swiped right to any other guy because you honestly didn’t want to go through the stress again of not knowing what was going to happen.
Yunho: You still up?
Y/N: Yes. Why?
Your heart started to race, and the palms of your hands began to sweat. What was he implying with his question? Was he insinuating something? Or was he perhaps oblivious to the tone of his question?
Yunho: You told me yesterday you were walking next to Seongsan Bridge. There is a good ramen place there. Do you want to go? As in now?
You pondered what to answer to his question. It was nice talking to him through the safety of your phone, but it would be more fun to speak in person. A couple of minutes passed, and you had to answer because he already got the read notification. You didn’t want him to think you didn’t want to go have some food with him, but you were also scared. This would be your first date through a dating app, and honestly, it scared the living shit out of you.
Y/N: Sure.
Yunho: I was starting to worry there. Yunho: See you in a bit :) Yunho: *shared a location*
You decided to not dress up to go to a small ramen place. From what you gathered, it was a small business that looked cosier than high class. You really liked that he had chosen this place. You could just go in your jeans and t-shirt without having to worry about your appearance. You were, however, concerned with his. Who was going to be waiting for you when you got there?
You tried to shake it off. You were going to be open-minded to whoever who was going to show up. You only talked for a couple of days, but Yunho had left a great impression. You both had talked about your families, and how you weren’t able to see them for an extended period due to work. There were a lot of similarities, but not too much. You liked to have a different point of view from time to time. For example, he was more a dog person while you are more a cat person.
The wind was cold, but it didn’t bother you. The coolness was welcoming after a day filled, trying not to sweat out of your dress shirt at work. You strolled looking over at the bridge you saw every day coming back from work. You liked to take the long route back home. Seoul had a lot of views to offer, but numerous bridges were your favourite thing, and you were pleased such a beautiful piece of architecture was close to your home.
“Y/N?” Some yelled your name, insecurely, and you immediately stopped walking. Could that be the guy you had been messaging for the last couple of days? If you turned around, you couldn’t pretend him to be Yuhno anymore if he was Someone else. Were you ready for such a commitment?
“Yunho?” You replied, while you turned around. You were surprised, to say the least. The person standing in front of you was indeed Yuhno from ATEEZ. You couldn’t stop staring at him because you honestly hadn’t expected to see him here.
“I thought it was you. Not a lot of people here admire this bridge.” Yunho laughed softly while he took place next to you. You were both admiring the view when you realized you had to respond to his remark. That’s was people do in conversations.
“That’s a shame. It’s stunning.” You told him shyly, not knowing how to act around him. His pictures didn’t do him any justice. He was glowing in the setting sun, making his features even more appealing to you. He was clad in simple jeans and t-shirt combination like yourself. He was in black while you were wearing a white t-shirt.
“I’m going to be really honest. I didn’t expect you to show up.” You told him after a couple minutes of awkward silence. You appreciated the fact that he let you gather your thoughts.
“I asked you to come? Why wouldn’t I show up?” Yunho asked you, surprised. He didn’t understand what you were trying to say.
“That’s not what I meant. You’re an idol.” You tried to say more straight forward. He blinked a couple of times before he regained his casual form again.
“Oh, that.” He muttered while moving his head away from you. He was looking at the view again, but you had a feeling he wasn’t really looking.
“Why do you even have Tinder? You should delete it immediately.” You told him forcefully, not wanting to believe his stupidity. Why was an idol on a dating app?
“I actually only use the app to talk to you now. There is this setting where you can choose if people can see your profile. I turned that on the minute we started talking.” He explained while he looked into your eyes. There was this strange kind of connection between the two of you. You couldn’t place it, but somehow he had you wrapped around his finger.
“Oh. That’s smart.” You finally told him while you kept staring at his face. Why couldn’t you stop looking? Why couldn’t he stop staring?
“Thank you.” He softly thanked you while he averted his gaze away from you. The moment his eyes fell off you, you could finally breathe again. You didn’t realize you had been holding your breath in the first place.
“But still, I could’ve been someone with bad intentions.” You pressed the matter, which made him laugh. A strange sensation shot through your body the moment you heard his low chuckle. It was adorable yet manly, and it sounded like music to your ears. You could listen to it all day as if it was one of your favourite songs.
“But you’re not.” He concluded happily as if he had just been as worried as you about this meeting.
“You don’t know that.” You told him.
“I know enough to know you’re not that kind of person.” He kind of complimented you, and you liked it.
“You’re too naive, but I’ll take the compliment.” You told him with a smile which he happily returned.
“Good. Let’s go eat.” He laughed while he started walking toward the restaurant that was supposed to be the best ramen place on earth. His enthusiasm made you laugh, and soon the two of you were just joking with each other like old friends would. As if you hadn’t only met. As if you hadn’t actually met on an online dating app.
I’m going to be honest here. I could write more, but I really felt like this was enough to give you that inspiration to dream about him. Ever since that post I have been dreaming this scenario with Yunho, and lately I really love going to sleep haha

Word count: 3, 044
Relationship: EVENTUAL severus X oc (slow burn)
Rating: E for everyone
Warnings: none
-----
A/N: This is my first fan fic I’m writing mainly as a way to practice. This is a retelling of the hp books with an inserted character. Although most every character will be written about, this is mostly for the pro snape fandom. Please do not fear, although this is a severus x oc story, it is an incredibly slow burn as I do not intend for them to get together at all until after the final book events. Chapters will be posted twice a week.
This derivative work follows the events of the Harry Potter books by Jk Rowling and is intended as a fun way to practice my writing. Thank you for reading :D

It had been a minute since the bells had rung for class to begin but the doors were still closed and Professor Lupin was nowhere to be seen. Students were starting to whisper and everyone was starting to get the feeling that the new Defense professor was worse than Lockhart already. And they hadn’t even started the class yet.
“At least Lockhart showed up to teach.” Heather sighed and leaned forward, looking at both ends of the empty corridor. There wasn’t anyone in sight.
“You’re right.” Hermione avoided Ron’s glare. “And you know he DID have SOME good material in his textbooks.”
“Unbelievable.” Ron walked out of line and headed to the front. He talked to the student in the front and then reached for the door, opening it with ease. “It’s unlocked!” he called out and headed inside.
Students started filing in. Heather sat next to Ron and after another minute of no teacher, everyone started unpacking their books, parchment, and quills. The chatter continued and after five minutes since the bells rang, the doors opened and Professor Lupin walked in.
He kept his eyes on the front and smiled as he reached his desk. He set down a patched up briefcase on top of a few stacks of papers and turned to face the class. He seemed to hesitate for a second. “Afternoon, students. You can all put away your books and quills and all that. You’ll need only your wand for today’s lesson.”
Heather turned to Ron and was happy to see her look of excitement matched with his. The only other times books weren’t required was that time with the Cornish pixies… and it hadn’t gone well. But it was still a lot more fun than just note taking. Heather took out her wand and set it down in front of her. Ron quickly showed off his new wand again and did the same.
Professor Lupin started down the class and opened the doors, “Follow me.”
Everyone quickly got up and followed him out. Harry seemed just as intrigued and excited and the four of them were very hopeful that the lesson today might actually turn out alright. They were led down a long corridor and around corner after corner when Peeves suddenly swooped down in front of Professor Lupin.
Peeves hung upside down and swung like a pendulum. “Loony, loopy, Lupin, loony, loopy, Lupin,” he sang. He laughed and turned right side up, sticking his fingers in his mouth and spit out a piece of chewed gum. He laughed again and started stuffing it in the keyhole to the broom closet on their left.
Everyone stared at Professor Lupin, wondering what he’d do to Peeves. Peeves wasn’t normally rude to any teachers and seemed to actively avoid getting in any of the professor’s ways or lines of sight even.
Professor Lupin kept his smile and shook his head in amusement. “Not too sure Mr. Filch would appreciate that.”
Peeves laughed again and blew a long wet raspberry in Professor Lupin’s direction before turning back upside down and continued filling the keyhole with more gum.
Professor Lupin turned to the class. “Observe.” He took out his wand and extended his arm with a slight bend out at Peeves. “Waddiwasi!”
The now large wad of gum shot out of the keyhole like a bullet and lodged straight into Peeve’s nostrils. Peeves shrieked and floated away as fast as he could, cursing at the top of his lungs.
Dean started clapping. “Awesome!”
Professor Lupin chuckled. “Thank you. Now… let’s continue.”
They continued on their way to wherever he was taking them. Heather felt her hope for a decent teacher swell. They were already learning new and cool spells and they hadn’t even gotten to officially start their lesson yet. She wondered how that spell worked and hoped none of the students present wouldn’t try it out on people without properly testing it.
They got down to the staffroom and the excitement all around increased. Not many students had ever been inside the staffroom before.
“Let’s go in.” Professor Lupin opened the door and held it as students entered.
The staffroom was looking like it had last year when they hid, listening to the very awful news that Ginny had been taken. It was now empty, except for one teacher.
Professor Snape sat in one of the armchairs by the fire and sighed very audibly in annoyance. He closed up the newspaper he was reading and stood. His glittering eyes scanned the class and rested on Professor Lupin, who was closing the door behind them, and sneered.
“I was wondering about the wardrobe… Leave it open.” Professor Snape strode forward and his black robes billowed behind him like waves cutting through the air. He opened the staffroom door and turned back. “Let me give you a fair warning, Lupin. Don’t entrust Neville Longbottom with anything difficult,” he turned his glare to Hermione, “Unless Miss Granger is there to hiss instructions in his ear.”
Neville backed away and hid behind a shorter Gryffindor. Hermione huffed and crossed her arms but turned just as red as Neville was. Professor Lupin looked unphased by Professor Snape’s remark and turned to find Neville hiding behind other students.
“Thanks for the warning, Snape. But I was actually going to ask him to assist me with part of the lesson. I have full confidence he will do more than fine.” Professor Lupin took a few steps forward.
Professor Snape’s lip curled but did not respond, instead deciding to leave and slammed the door with a loud THUD that echoed throughout the room. Neville poked his even redder face out and sighed.
“Let’s get started, shall we?” Professor Lupin walked over to the old wardrobe in the back and motioned for everyone to gather in front.
Heather followed Harry and Ron to the front and gave enough room for Hermione. More people were fighting to get closer, but Professor Lupin made sure to keep them at a short distance. The wardrobe wobbled and Heather instinctively grabbed onto Harry’s arm, squeezing tight. He shook her off and laughed with the other students who hadn’t jumped.
“Don’t worry, class. There’s only a boggart in there.” Professor Lupin pounded on the wardrobe and it wobbled even harder.
Hermione gasped and Heather realized several other students looked just as worried. Ron and Neville had backed away and it seemed like half the class was ready to run to the opposite side of the room as the doorknob rattled furiously. Heather hadn’t read through the textbook yet, only skimmed it, and cursed herself, realizing Hermione had already done lots of studying.
“Boggarts live in closed, dark places.” Professor Lupin stood in front of the doors as the boggart inside pounded at them. The class seemed to relax a bit. “They are found in the gaps beneath beds, in the back of drawers, the cupboards under sinks, and in vents… as well as rarely used wardrobes.” He smiled as the wardrobe thumped at the mention. “This one arrived just yesterday. I’ve been given permission to keep it for this demonstration and so… here we are.
“Who knows what a boggart is?”
Heather saw Hermione’s hand shoot up into the air and stuck her own arm up. Professor Lupin pointed the back of his wand at Heather and Hermione huffed.
“It’s a shapeshifter.”
Professor Lupin nodded. “Yes. Anything else?”
She gulped. “Um…”
Hermione’s arm shot up again. “It takes the shape of whatever it senses will frighten its victim most!”
Heather’s face went red and she tried not to glare at Hermione.
“Yes. Wonderfully put.”
Hermione smiled brightly at Professor Lupin’s words and Heather rolled her eyes.
“This boggart has not yet assumed any form in the darkness inside here. It does not take shape until presented with someone before it. That’s why no one knows what a boggart really looks like. In the original text of discovery, the poor wizard who found one believed boggarts to all look like his uncle – ”
The class broke out in laughter.
Professor Lupin smiled. “The second I let it out however, it will take form as best it can to one fears at a time.” He ignored Neville’s terrified sputter and looked at Harry. “We do have one advantage, however… Harry, can you figure it out?”
Harry looked at Hermione’s arm waving in the air. “Er… Well… there’s too many of us? If it only turns into one fear at a time… Then it would have a hard time deciding which one to take?”
“Excellent, Harry. Very good.”
Heather crossed her arms at Harry, seeing he was already receiving some sort of special treatment, but he only rolled his eyes at her, clearly pleased with himself. It had been an easy question anyways.
“Always deal with boggarts among company. Best case scenario it becomes the mash-up of multiple fears and turns into something ridiculous and amusing. And that brings me to the charm made to deal with boggarts. Very simple in theory. You picture something that amuses you, use the charm, and force it to assume that shape.
“Let’s practice – wandless of course… Riddikulus!” Professor Lupin motioned for the class to repeat it and they did. “Perfect. Now, Neville – ”
Neville made a noise again but made his way forward, trembling as hard as the wardrobe. Professor Lupin turned him around to face the class and with every thump Neville jumped.
“Neville, what shape will the boggart take for you? In other words: what frightens you most?” Professor Lupin leaned in to try to catch whatever thing Neville had whispered. “Louder please, Neville.”
Neville gulped and looked around, turning slightly pink again. “Professor Snape,” he croaked.
Everyone laughed and Neville smiled apologetically, shrugging.
Professor Lupin chuckled, “He is quite frightful. Let’s see… You live with your grandmother correct?” Neville nodded and he continued. “Then I’ve got the perfect idea.” He leaned in and whispered something in Neville ear.
Neville snorted and nodded, turning around to face the wardrobe with his wand out.
Professor Lupin positioned Neville’s arm up higher and straighter. “Remember, when it takes shape think of what I told you and say ‘Riddikulus’. Concentrate.” He walked up to the wardrobe and pointed at Neville. “Everyone else form a line behind him. After he performs the charm the boggart will take the shape of the next person and so on. Keep the line formed and going. Please have a clear image of how to make your fear comical before it is your turn at the front.”
Professor Lupin motioned Neville and the line further back and held his wand out pointed at the doorknob. He flicked his wand and sparks shot out, hitting the knob and the door flung open revealing only darkness. Everyone gasped and quieted down, waiting.
From within the darkness Professor Snape’s hooked nose emerged first into the light. His menacing face became visible as he stepped out of the wardrobe onto the hard floor. His dark eyes flashed at the sight of Neville and he sneered, looking ready to chew him out. Professor Snape made to step forward furiously and Neville backed away, holding his arm up straight.
“R-R-Riddikulus! R-Riddikulus!” Neville shut his eyes. “Riddikulus!”
CRACK
Professor Snape stumbled backwards, now wearing a long green dress with fluffy brown fur on the cuffs and collar. A large sun hat with a beat-up vulture covered most of his long black hair that was now put up in a low bun. He steadied himself and clutched onto a large red handbag, glaring at Neville.
The class erupted with laughter except for the few Slytherins in the room. Heather crossed her arms and frowned. She didn’t think it was very fair to be making fun of someone else like that, especially if they weren’t in the room… Even if the real Professor Snape had been quite rude earlier during potions.
“Excellent! Next!” Professor Lupin chuckled.
The next student’s boggart turned into a small bandaged mummy, moaning and shuffling forward.
“Riddikulus!”
CRACK.
The mummy’s foot bandages tied into a bow and it fell forward on its face, causing more laughter. Next it turned into a banshee, with sickly green skin and long skeletal limbs. Harry’s dormmate, Seamus, waved his wand and yelled the charm, CRACK, turning it into a fat rat. Next Dean went forward and the boggart turned into a severed hand, crawling towards him. CRACK. It was now trapped in a small wired cage. Several more students went, happily enjoying the fright and laughter of the exercise.
Hermione pushed Heather forward who in turn pushed Harry who pushed Ron. Ron pushed them back and raised his wand, ready for the boggart.
The bogart turned into a giant hungry spider like the ones they met in the forbidden forest. The whole class screamed and it seemed to get stronger.
Ron raised his wand up at it and gulped. He closed his eyes. “Riddikulus!”
CRACK.
The spider jumped and fell on its back, tottering back and forth with no legs to help it up. It tried it’s best to right itself and ended up rolling closer to the front of the line. Harry raised his wand but before the boggart could change into anything, Professor Lupin jumped in front.
The legless spider spun and a white orb rose into the air above their heads. Professor Lupin waved his wand lazily and after a CRACK, a red balloon zoomed into the wardrobe. Sparks shot out of his wand and the door closed with a click. The doors rattled violently but the boggart was once again trapped inside.
“Great. I think we’re done for now.” Professor Lupin walked up to the front. “I’ll give… five points to everyone who participated, five more for Neville for going first, ten for Harry and Hermione for answering my questions.” He looked at Heather, “And five for Heather as well.” He smiled at the class, “Class dismissed and don’t forget your things back in the classroom.”
Hermione’s hand shot up, “You forgot about homework!”
“Hermione!” Ron groaned.
Professor Lupin chuckled, “Thank you. Yes. Read the chapter on boggarts… and write me a summary. To be handed in next class before we continue with round two.”
Heather raised her hand as well and waited to be called on. “What length?”
“Any. Just make the summaries good.”
The class cheered and left the staffroom as the bells rang. The Excitement carried all the way back to the classroom as everyone talked about their boggarts, especially Neville’s. Heather wished she had gotten a chance at one, but she was also glad for it. She didn’t want to think about what it could have been, and only knew whatever it was she would have turned it into Fang attempting to catching snowflakes.
“You two need to learn to keep quiet.” Ron was still upset about missing out on no homework.
“She started it.” Heather looked away from Hermione.
“It’s only a summary, Ron. That’s easy.”
Harry laughed. “He did say any length. We could turn in a sentence then.”
Ron cheered up at that. “Hermione I bet yours would have turned into a test with a score of nine out of ten.” He laughed and turned to Heather, “And a tiny spider for you.”
She rolled her eyes. “No. It would have been an even bigger spider than yours. A massive one.”
They headed to the library and got started on their homeworks. Ron and Harry attempted their one sentence summary but couldn’t manage to cut it down to under four. After several hours they parted ways to put their things away in their dorms.
Heather met them at the bottom of Gryffindor tower and headed to dinner together. They were coming down the entrance hall steps when Draco called to Harry from above. He was smiling, still clinging to his arm in a sling.
“Heard your boggart turned into a dementor, Potter. And Weasley here had to catch you when you fainted.”
Draco said it loud enough for other students to hear and stare at Harry, trying to contain their laughter. Harry went red and before Ron could yell back at him, Hermione was dragging them down. Heather shook her head at Draco and followed them into the great hall where she found a seat at her table and sat down, waiting for Draco to eventually sit down next to her.
“And what was yours? A second-place trophy?” Draco sat down followed by his goons.
Heather ignored him.
Pansy came skipping over and sat down across from Draco, giving Heather a quick glance. “Draco I’m sure your boggart will be truly terrifying tomorrow!”
“What would it be?” Heather imagined it’d be his father with his back turned to him or a little muggle girl asking for directions.
“Probably a giant man-eating dragon or something. Or fifty volcanic trolls.” He stabbed his meat slice with a fork using his slinged arm and started cutting with his other.
Heather rolled her eyes. Maybe she should figure out what her boggart would be in case it was very embarrassing. If she knew what it was, then she could just change her fear and avoid any unnecessary embarrassment, especially if Pansy was going to potentially find out about it.
She made a mental note to find out before the next boggart class, even if it meant sneaking into the staffroom at night. She looked over at Fred and George, wondering if they’d lend her their map. Although they’d probably want in on what she was doing, and she wasn’t too sure she could trust them with any secret that had the potential to be used as a prank.
If she asked Harry for the cloak he’d ask too many questions too. Would he even lend it to her? It was theirs after all. So why did he get to keep it on him constantly? She blinked and shook her head. Too much was going on in her mind to enjoy dessert. She got ready to stand up and leave when she spotted a vanilla pudding topped with whipped cream and sweet cherries. She sighed and figured she could do her best to put off thinking for at least one tiny scoop.

Festival of hearts (jhs)
Genre: fluff, established relationship, pregnancy announcement
Paring: reader x Hoseok
Word count: 3500
You heard somewhere, that according to Scandinavian tradition, Christmas is the festival of hearts. Not that you were Scandinavian, but it sounded super cute and worked perfectly with how you wanted to break the news of the new life joining your little family soon. You had this all planned out...
Taglist: @spookidema @jessicarhb
A/N: Ah, the fluff is good today. I was finishing this at the airport yesterday and couldn’t help myself from giggling at how cute it is! I may have gotten a few looks - I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! <3 This is the fourth drabble, meaning we’re more than halfway through! What do you think so far?
If you want to be added to the tag list for this little advent calendar of drabbles, just let me know in the comments! Next drabble will be up on sunday! The schedule and themes of the stories can be found in the master post for the drabbles. My other stories and drabbles can be found in my masterlist
Sticking out your tongue in concentration, you followed the movement of the pen on the soft skin of your stomach through the mirror in front of you. Groaning in exasperation when the line ended up crooked once again, you threw your head back in frustration and was just about ready to scream.
Turns out drawing neatly is really fucking hard, when everything is inverted.
Taking a deep breath to calm your nerves, you reached for another wet wipe and started rubbing away the crooked heart on your stomach. The idea seemed so cute and simple. You had seen it on pinterest and immediately found it adorable. Drawing a heart on your stomach to symbolize the growing life inside of you. Cute right?
Well, you had gone a tad further and drawn a heart of above your own heart as well, which had come out great, but now you were struggling with the most important heart and it was driving you crazy. Who would have thought it would be so damn complicated?
Throwing a quick glance at the clock on the wall, you let out a little gasp. You were running out of time and Hoseok would be home soon. Picking up the pen again, you held your breath as your pressed the colored tip to your skin once again, drawing the outline of the heart a little to the left of your navel.
Tilting your head as you inspected it through the mirror, you deemed it good enough, before reaching for the red pen to color it in.
Just as you lifted the red pen from your skin, you heard the front door open.
“Babe, I’m home! And I brought food from that pasta place you’ve been talking about for days now.”
Squealing in excitement at both the prospect of food and of announcing your pregnancy to your husband, you quickly grabbed the pens from the dresser and stuck them in your back pocket, before fixing your top and throwing one of Hoseoks over-sized sweaters over your head and making your way downstairs to him.
Skipping down the stairs and into the kitchen, you failed to contain your giggle as the smell of that delicious eggplant pasta hit your nose and the sight of your husband came into view.
Turning around at the sound your thundering descent on the stairs, Hoseok lit up in a laugh as he saw the excited grin plastered on your face.
“Hi baby,” he laughed at you, only loosing his balance slightly when you threw yourself into his embrace – a habit you had acquired recently, and he was growing to love more each day. “You’re in a good mood today.”
“Yes,” you hummed as you tightened your hold on him and felt his arms holding you safely in place. “I am. A really good mood, actually.”
Pulling back to place a passionate kiss to his lips, you heard him whimper slightly when you pulled back to inspect the bags, he had placed on the kitchen counter.
“Woah, wait. That was quite the welcome,” he chuckled, absentmindedly reaching out for you, when you stepped towards the takeout bags. “Whatever’s gotten you in such a good mood, please tell me what it is, so I can make sure it happens more often.”
“Uh, be careful what you wish for,” you giggled playfully, as you roamed through the bags, feeling his hands slide up under your shirt and settle against your warm skin, his fingertips brushing against your stomach mere millimeters away from the heart you had drawn.
The thought of just pulling up your sweater and top to show him now briefly crossed your mind, but you wanted to make this special. And you had to admit, you kind of liked teasing him without him having any knowledge of what it was you were teasing him with.
“Oh? And why is that?”, he hummed against your neck as he worked his mouth against your skin, completely oblivious to how much his life would change in a little time.
“Ah-ah,” you chuckled, as you lifted one hand from the bags to touch the side of your nose. “Spoilers.”
“Oh, come on, y/n,” he half-whined, half-giggled against your skin. “You know I hate surprises.”
“And that’s a lie,” you snorted out in a laugh as you lifted the food containers out of the bag, hearing him chuckle behind you as well. “You love surprises. You just don’t like secrets.”
“Alright, fine. You got me. But will you just tell me? Please.”
Chuckling a bit under your breath, you couldn’t contain your giddy grin at how excited he would get when you told him. Sure, it wasn’t planned or anything, but you had talked about it several times and you both knew you wanted kids.
“Not yet, babe. I have this all planned out, you see,” you hummed, throwing him a wink over your shoulder.
“But I want to be happy together with you, jagi. Come on,” he whined with a pout, clinging even closer to your back and letting his head rest against the crock of your neck. “Don’t keep me out of your happiness!”
“God, you’re so dramatic. Why did I ever marry you?”, you laughed with an eye roll as you opened the cupboard over your head to fetch some plates for the food.
“Because you can’t keep away from drama and I support you with the absolute best drama of your life.”
Shaking you head with a grin, you turned around in his embrace to hand him the plates, finding him smirking at you with a wicked glint in his eyes.
“Is that right? Are we still talking about drama or are you hinting at something else, Jung?”, you asked, cocking an eye-brow at his shameless grin.
“Oh, I don’t know. You tell me.” Accepting the plates from you, he leaned down to place a short but telling kiss to the corner of your mouth. Shooting you a wink, before turning around to set the table, he left you gazing fondly after him as he moved around the table, taking small dance steps to the music playing in the background.
He was going to be an amazing father. You had always known this, but now that the future for sure entailed the two of you having a kid together, your head was suddenly filled with scenarios of him sleeping with your baby on his chest on the couch, you coming home to see him dancing around the kitchen with a black-haired laughing baby strapped to his chest. Him gazing at you fondly, while you rock your little lump of love to sleep.
“Y/n?”
Hoseoks giggled snapped you back to reality, a loving smile still clinging to your features as you locked eyes with your husband, his face mirroring your look of pure adoration. “You alright? You kinda zoned out there?”
“Yes, I’m perfect,” you grinned, picking up the food containers and carrying them to the table. Putting them down, you turned to press a kiss to his cheek, feeling his dimple appear against your lips when he smiled. “I am absolutely perfect.”
“I really need to know, what’s gotten you in such a good mood, babe,” he chuckled affectionately, pulling you closer by his sweatshirt and nuzzling his face in your hair. “I need to know how to make you smile like this, when you’re having a bad day.”
“And I will tell you,” you smiled, reaching up to run your hands through his hair, savoring the feeling of giddy excitement coupled with the comfortableness and safety of having your husband close enough for you to smell his cologne and feel the warmth emanating from his body. “After dinner.”
Chatting about the latest news on their new album and Hoseok and Jungkooks latest adventure out in the “real world” as they called their midnight shenanigans of sneaking into crowded areas in disguises to go to the movies, go shopping or just go to their favorite ramen place, dinner went by uneventfully, although you caught him throwing looks around the room every other second to check for clues on what it was you were going to tell him.
Finally deeming the suspense long enough, you put your fork down and crossed your arms on the table in front of you as you leaned over the table towards him, your excited smile back on your lips.
“Alright, so I want to tell you something.”
“Yes, finally! Here we go,” he cheered with an excited laugh, eyes lighting up in glee as he practically threw his own fork down on his plate, splattering the remaining sauce on the table around him.
“Okay,” you chuckled at his excitement. “I planned this out, so just… go with it okay?”
Rising from the table, you reached out for his hand and led him to the couch, signaling that he should sit down.
“Alright. What on earth are you planning? Is this going to be like that time you cuffed me to the bed and forgot that we had lost the key?”, he teased as he let you manhandle him to where you wanted him.
Snorting out a laugh at the memory, you placed a light smack on his arm.
“No, please just trust me, okay? Lift your arms,” you laughed, as you pulled his shirt over his head.
“I always trust you. I’m just saying. It has gotten me in some sticky situations before.”
Throwing you a wink as he allowed you to strip him, you rolled your eyes at his complaints as you gently pushed him back to a reclined position against the pillows.
“Oh, shut up, Jung. You have never hated any of those situations. Now, sit still, close your eyes and shush.” Throwing one leg over him and making yourself comfortable on his lap, you uncapped the pen and giggled in anticipation as you let it hover just above his skin. “Okay, this might tickle a bit, but just relaxed and keep your eyes closed. I promise it’s not permanent, okay?”
“Wait, what do you mean not permanent? Y/n, what are you doing?”, he shrieked in surprise when he felt the tip of the pen against his skin. “What is that?”
“Just relax, babe! I told you it’s not permanent,” you laughed in delight at how confused he was. “Please sit still. It will be much prettier that way.”
Despite his discomfort at not knowing what you were doing, he trusted you enough to keep his eyes closed while he felt the pen against his chest. Besides, he was way too curious to jeopardize you not telling him the secret if he peeped.
Sticking out your tongue in concentration as you drew the heart onto his chest, you bit down on your lip to keep from laughing at the small exclamations your husband was letting out in surprise.
“So you know how I watched that documentary on Christmas traditions around the world?”, you spoke, starting faze 2 of your plan as you kept drawing.
“Yeah?”
“Did you know, that in Denmark they refer to Christmas as the festival of hearts? And that way back when, before they celebrated Christmas in Scandinavia, they celebrated a thing called winter solstice on the night of the 21st of December?”, you asked, as you reached for the red pen to color in the heart.
“As much as I love listening to you ramble on about a new thing you learned, baby, I don’t really see the connection to what’s happening here?” Chuckling slightly at your habit of excitedly sharing any new information you’d obtained that day, he was way too excited to keep still, body twitching and mind too excited to rest. In an effort to calm at least his body while allowing you to carry out your plan, his hands found rest against your thighs, giving them a slight squeeze just to confirm to himself that you were still there.
“Shh, will you just listen?”, you laughed at him, grinning when you felt his hands on your thighs. Always so touchy. “So, solstice happens twice a year, once in summer and once in winter and they mark the longest and the shortest day of the year. So the winter solstice is the shortest day of the year and in some areas of Scandinavia that meant maybe only an hour of sun or maybe none at all. This night was seen as the most dangerous night of the year, because they believed that evil spirits roamed freely in the dark. So to protect themselves, the people build huge fires and stayed up all night, drinking and dancing to ward off the spirits. But since it was still believed to be a dangerous night, where you could be taken by the devil, many people saw this night as possibly their last, making them declare their love for each other, cherish family and friends and in general just appreciate all the good in their lives.”
As you leaned in to make sure the heart came out perfect, Hoseok shivered from the feeling of your breath against his chest coupled with the slight scratch of the pen, feeling the goosebumps forming across his skin.
You, however, were way too occupied with your plan to even consider how this could have any another effect on him, as you continued talking.
“So, even as Christianity took over in Scandinavia, the old traditions were impossible to just erase, you know? So instead, they became part of the Christian traditions. The feeling of fright at the dark days during Christmas was still very much part of the culture, but over the years it became more of this feeling of sharing your heart with the people around. Kinda like a seasonal YOLO,” you laughed, feeling the vibrations in his chest as he laughed along with you. “If you can’t open your heart on Christmas, when can you? That’s why they call it the festival of hearts.”
“As interesting as that story is, I still don’t see the relation to us?”
Pulling back to inspect your work, you gave a single nod of approval to yourself as you capped the pen and deposited it on the table next to the couch.
“Well, open your eyes, then I’ll explain,” you said with a satisfied smile.
Opening his eyes and looking down on his chest, he took in the heart you had drawn over his own beating one, quietly reaching up to run his fingers along the edge of it as he admired the contrast between his honey skin and the dark edges framing the red heart.
“I have one as well,” you smiled, pulling the sweatshirt over your head and leaving you in a simple tank top, which easily showed off your matching heart resting just below your collarbone. “You know, I love you, right?”
“Of course, I do. I love you too,” he spoke gently with a warm smile on his lips, as he reached up to let his fingertips trace your heart.
“I want you to know how thankful I am and how amazed I am to see how freely you open your heart to the world around you, sharing you love and joy with anyone who comes into contact with you. The messages of hope and happiness that you share through your music. The care and love you share with me and our family and friends. I still have moments, where I have trouble understanding how I got so lucky to have you in my life, but I am so thankful to the universe for putting you in my life,” you spoke, observing how his eyes flickered between the heart on your chest and your eyes as his fingers continued following its outline, and a blissful smile crept up on his face.
“The universe might have had something to do with it, but I would have rioted if it hadn’t placed you so close to my heart,” he hummed, as he flattened his hand against your heart, fingertips grazing your shoulder and his palm warm and heavy against your heartbeat. “I’m the lucky one in this relationship. Finding a person who understands me so well and supports me through a career as turbulent as mine. Sometimes I worry, that you’ll wake up one day and realized, I’m not worth it and leave me,” he admitted with a solemn smile, eyes heavy with emotion.
Gasping slightly at his confession, you reached up to laze your fingers through his against your heart, dipping your head down to reach his eyes as you gave him a comforting smile.
“I would never leave you. You’re the one I want to be with. Turbulent career and the amazing passionate man that comes with it,” you assured him, lighting up when his smile returned. “Listen. My heart has been yours for many years now and it will continue to be yours as long as you will have it. I wish I could give you more, but there is nothing left to give that isn’t already yours. But I can give you something else,” you grinned in giddy expectation, as you reached for the hem of your top and yanked it over your head, exposing the heart on your stomach.
When the heart came into view, Hoseok widened his eyes in wonder and hesitant realization, tentatively letting his hand fall from your chest to touch the matching heart on your tummy.
“Does this mean, what I think it means?”, he asked, eyes meeting yours in amazement and already shining in joy. “Are you pregnant?”
Laughing at yourself as tears of joy started to well up in your eyes, you nodded at his questions.
Eyes widening even more at your reaction, he straightened up and placed both hands on your stomach as if feeling for the heartbeat he knew hidden behind the blood-red drawing.
“Are you sure? Really? You’re really pregnant?”
“Yes, Hobi. Really, I took like four tests,” you laughed, rolling your eyes at his hesitance to believe you.
“You’re pregnant! You’re pregnant?”, he repeated again and again, needing you to assure him that it was really true. Giggling at him, you simply confirmed his question as many times as needed, seeing how the realization settled more and more in his eyes for each confirmation you gave him.
“You’re pregnant. I’m going to be a dad,” he whispered, looking at you with wide eyes. “And you’re going to be a mom. We’re going to be parents. Y/n, we’re gonna be Mom and Dad,” he choked out in a laugh, tears welling in his eyes as he leaned forward to rest his forehead against yours, leaning in to place a passionate wet kiss to your lips.
“Oh, you’re going to an amazing dad, Hoseok. Absolutely marvelous,” you laughed in-between the kisses he was peppering on your face, feeling his tears wet your cheeks and mix with your own now streaming down your face.
“Only because you’re going to be an even better mom,” he spoke, eyes sparkling with wonder. “Thank you. I can’t believe out little family is growing. Can you believe this? Next Christmas we’ll have a child.”
“I know,” you whispered, forehead still pressed to his. “I can’t wait to have a mini version of you running around.”
“Oh no. I want a mini version of you. Beautiful soul, stubborn heart and all,” he countered with a soft laugh as he started tracing the outline of the heart on your stomach again with serene smile.
“One of each?”, you teased with a gentle laugh, feeling the joy and love swaddling your heart.
“At least,” he hummed with a wide grin as he pressed another kiss to your lips, hands now clinging to your hips as he gentle caressed the heart with his thumb.
“You do realize, our kids are gonna be the most stubborn and impossible children out there? With our DNA there is no other possible outcome,” you giggled in anticipation, sending your husband a shameless grin at the thought.
“Oh, I know,” he smirked, erupting in laughter as well. “Which is why we’ll robe Jungkook and Tae into babysitting every now and then – they would love that!”
Chuckling at the idea of the chaos that would be Jungkook and Taehyung babysitting together, you leaned forward to cuddle against Hoseoks bare chest, feeling his heartbeat against yours as you let out a happy sigh.
“I bet they would,” you mumbled against his skin, closing your eyes in pleasure when you felt him stroke your hair. “But not too often though. I want my family with me as much as possible. All hearts in one place,” you smile contentedly, as your husbands ministrations slowly but surely lulled you into a calm sleep.

KARIN | A SasuSaku FanFic (4/10)
(Karin - Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3)
———
When he opened Karin's room, he didn't expect the sight to leave him frozen by the door with his mouth slightly parted in awe. His heart ran wild as his mind suddenly flew to a far future that he didn't even know if he'll ever reach or deserve.
For he found Sakura in the middle of the room, gazing at a redhead baby in her arms as she hummed a random tune and swayed it to sleep. He never imagined how such a beautiful scenario was fitting for her to be in.
"Oh. Good afternoon, Sasuke-kun."
He recovered from his trance when Sakura glanced up and smiled at him, gently and almost sheepishly, taking his breath away. "Hn." He avoided her eyes as he dropped the bag he was holding to a table once he was inside the room. "I brought the remaining stuff of Karin from my house."
"Ah. Karin's still asleep, she became easily tired after welcoming Suigetsu earlier." Sakura giggled softly to avoid waking the little bundle in her arms. "Meanwhile, Suigetsu said he'll try to search for a temporarily place they could stay in while Karin and the baby are recuperating."
He tersely nodded, continuing to avert his eyes from her. After years of his absence, and a month of her deliberate avoidance in seeing him, Sasuke suddenly struggled to keep his cool around the pink-haired medic.
It didn't even help that she began pacing towards him, still humming a sweet melody that he couldn't put a name on, and then she stopped close enough for him to smell the cherry blossom scent of his hair alongside – what was that – milk? Ah, of course, she was holding a baby. His heart pounded against his ribcage at that fact once more.
"Sasuke-kun, this is Suika." She cradled the baby and looked at him. This time, he had no choice but to meet her dazzling gaze. "Do you want to hold her?"
Sasuke's eyes widened momentarily. "I...I only have one arm, Sakura."
She chuckled. "I know. But don't worry. Here, I'll help you." She was already extending her arms and positioning the baby on his only arm before he could even reply.
He, on the other hand, was stuck in staring at her face the whole time. It wasn't having a single arm that could compromise the baby's safety, but his lack of focus due to his awestruck admiration towards the medic nin. He didn’t expect her to be that knowledgeable and comfortable about anything related to babies at such a young age.
He felt a tug at the corner of his lips at the realization that his former teammate in their genin squad has come a long way. A part of him wished that he was there to witness her growth in the past, but a bigger part of him suddenly desired that from now on, he’d be there to see her reach the beautiful future that awaits her.
"There! Suika, this is Uncle Sasuke." She cooed.
Sasuke gripped the baby a little tighter when she let out a soft whimper. He finally turned his face to Suika and slowly imitated the way Sakura cradled her moments ago as she fixed the infant's bib in place.
He was well aware that Sakura was too close and that they were in such an intimate position, holding a baby and all. And Sasuke couldn't help but think about the possibility of him and Sakura being in the same scenario again one day. The only difference would be holding a black-haired (or pink-haired? He doesn't mind.) baby in between them by then. He was a little surprised with the direction his thoughts went so he softly cleared his throat, hoping to clear his mind as well.
"You're doing well, Sasuke-kun!" Sakura chuckled as she took a step back, taking in the sight of the great Sasuke Uchiha holding an infant in his arm. "You look so cute holding a bab—oh!" Her hand flew to cover her lips at the realization of what she had just said. A flush immediately appeared on her cheeks. "I mean, it's...uh...you—"
Tch. Annoying. "It's fine." He smirked. At least he's not the only one who was flustered.
"Hey, Sasuke!" They suddenly heard a voice by the door.
"Sssh! Suigetsu! Your wife and daughter's asleep!"
Sasuke stifled a laugh at the way Sakura hissed at his former comrade in Taka which reminded him of the usual way she scolded Naruto in Team 7. He still found it a bit odd that two parts of his past could still be there in his present.
The water ninja scratched the back of his head. "Ah. Sorry, Sakura-san."
"Do you want to hold your kid?"
"Where is—oh!" Suigetsu suddenly snickered when Sasuke turned to face him. "Never in my life did I imagine seeing you holding anything valuable other than a sword, let alone a baby!"
His former leader rolled his eyes.
"Here, let me get her."
Sasuke eyed Sakura for assistance but she simply gave him an encouraging nod, trusting him fully that he wouldn't be the cause of a newborn’s cracked head today.
When Suigetsu was already carrying his daughter, his gaze quickly softened as he flashed a toothy smile.
Sasuke was yet again surprised with the sight. He couldn’t deny that he was amazed with how his former comrades have changed for the better since the time he formed Team Hebi.
He looked on the ground. How could someone with an intense drive for killing people have such a look on his face? Is redemption really that possible? Does he even deserve the same thing?
“Really, though, Sasuke, thank you,” Suigetsu began, his eyes still fixed on his kid. “I believe it was orchestrated how we crossed paths last month. I...I really didn’t want to put Karin in danger in the Mist. They still needed to believe that I’m really pledging allegiance to my clan again despite my connection with Orochimaru for my new family needs a place to stay in. But if they saw Karin with me while we settle disputes, they might think we’re plotting something against the village.” He rolled his eyes and cackled. “Things like that were fun. But, I’m way past that. I and Karin are way past that. Thanks to you.”
Sasuke’s head snapped up, his lips parted as if to ask him what he was talking about.
“When we saw how willing you are to recommit to the Leaf, and help it from the outside, we thought it’s possible to do the same thing, to be like you in some ways. Now, we’re here. And you’ve kept my wife and child safe up to now. So, thanks Sasuke.”
Sasuke was still frozen in place as he stared back at Suigetsu. How could his former teammates be inspired with someone so messed up like him?
Sakura was smiling the whole time as he observed the two men. She could sense how uneasy Sasuke was, and she could only imagine the struggle in his thoughts right now. She sighed softly, realizing that he probably still didn’t believe that he’s now a changed man.
How could he not see it? She’s heard from Naruto and Kakashi how he was serving the village from afar and how he was helping people from other villages. It even made her think of him as a one-man police force that protects the village in the shadows. And that kind of man is far from the broken boy he used to be. She really wished he sees it now.
“I’m sure Karin is grateful as well. You know how much that woman was into you.” Suigetsu released another laugh. “I don’t even know how your patience survived her in the past month.”
“Oi! I can hear you!”
Three pairs of eyes darted towards the patient in the room.
“Oh. Speaking of the four-eyed devil,” Suigetsu muttered, feigning irritation.
Sakura found herself amused at the husband and wife. “Karin, glad you’re awake.” She then paced towards her and assisted her so she could be in a sitting position.
“Thanks, Sakura.” Karin slightly shifted in her bed, her entire body still sore from yesterday’s labor. “Well, truth be told, I didn’t bother Sasuke that much since I could take care of myself. I only sought for his help when I needed to go out and buy something since long walks are going to be the death of me, probably until now. So mind you, Shark-face, I don’t think I’ve stretched his patience. Right, Sasuke?” She grinned.
Sasuke heaved a sigh, and they weren’t sure if he wanted to say otherwise.
Suigetsu stifled a laugh at this. “Well, if circumstances were different I’m sure you would’ve been glad that you finally had an alone time with Sasuke.” He quirked an eyebrow at his wife. “You’ve always wanted that, right?”
“Oi! That’s not what—!”
“You’re both waking up and stressing out your kid.” Sasuke took it back, his teammates hadn’t changed at all.
“Sasuke-kun’s right, guys.” Sakura chuckled with her hands on her hips. “Now, now, I need you, men, to be out for a while because I’ll let Karin try to breastfeed Suika.”
Both men’s ears turned red.
“Oh, alright.” Suigetsu approached Karin who was still glaring at him. Snickering, he handed their baby gently in her arms. “I’ll be back. I might go out again to continue searching for a place.” He then kissed the top of his daughter’s head, paused in front of Karin’s face, and stuck his tongue out at her when she expected for a kiss.
Her reaction was worth it, and he was sure if she wasn’t holding their baby, she would’ve smacked him around the head.
When the water ninja was already by the door, holding it open for him, Sasuke turned to face Sakura and said, “I’ll just wait for you outside.”
And then all the girls were left inside the room.
Sakura remained staring at the door, slightly wondering as to why Sasuke would say that he would wait for her when in fact, Karin was the patient and the one he should be visiting. Then she realized the fact that weirdly, he didn’t even speak to the redhead at all.

Any comments on this part wherein we’ve finally seen the father of the baby? Haha. Your comments on your thoughts, feelings, and feedback are highly appreciated!😄
My estimate on the chapter length of this was extended due to the limits of what I can post on a single tumblr post. Stay tuned for the next one! Thanks & God bless!

here’s a rambly text post about what i’ve been up to!
while hunting for ghoulia at target today (they had nothing except the coffin bean and frankie/deuce pack), i saw some real littles... shopkins... things. i thought they fully transitioned to using the real littles name, but?? i guess not??? is shopkins just for the foodstuffs? anyways. the backpacks were super cute, but i don't love the scale of the items (i don't like shopkins for that reason tbh. i never got into them.)
but i got some real littles shoes! a far cry from ghoulia, but i've been intrigued about them for a while. i like shoes a reasonable amount, i think. i got one from series... uh... hm. it doesn't look like it has that information. well, my collector's guide includes the color-changing ones, if that helps anyone at all. i got the possible best case scenario: the plain and boring ones! lol. it's muted sweetie, which is apparently a common shoe. they're very cute looking. they probably won't fit my dolls, but i still like them. i'm undecided if i'll get more or not. i love the little shoebox and tissue paper, but none of the other shoes in this series are really catching my eye, though the basketball style shoes are so cute.
also, i got lagoona! finally, my sweet fishy daughter has returned. i can't wait for her skulltimate secrets to drop, i am SO pumped for that. all i have left to get now are ghoulia (sigh), cleo, and clawdeen. they had the moons variant clawdeen at my store, but i honestly prefer the striped, so i'll either keep looking or just grab her on amazon, depending on if it's random or not.
i love lagoona so much 😭 she's so perfect... except i wish her armfins were a different color to match her leg fins. and blue gradient hands but that's more of a pipe dream, i think different color armfins is (a more) realistic (pipe dream). i'll take some pics of her and maybe the rest of the ghouls in a few days, my schedule is kinda busy! but i FINALLY got to pull all the plastic stay ties out of a doll head without one fucking breaking!!! good luck lagoona here to save the day!!!!! ughhhhh i had to carefully snip one in lala and toralei, and push the end of two into frankie. utterly hellish.
my barbie looks #3 arrived yesterday! that was super exciting. i paid a bit more than retail for her, but that’s okay. the sculpt is SO beautiful!!!!! i love it so much!!!!!! it makes me want to hop on ebay and grab another of her head lol. the upper elbow joint was stuck so i boiled her arms for a bit and some of the water got on her flocking and messed it up... sob sob. the plan was to customize her but her head is SO CUTE i cry. and omg she really does have the pinkest undertone ever, i was so sure it was going to work and be fine for a head i have but NOPE LOL people were NOT exaggerating, She Is So Pink. maybe i’ll make a post about that later with the planned head i was going to use (127 i believe?)
she fits the mini version of my jacket i made a while ago! maybe i’ll post that as well. hm, and create a new tag for my sewing stuff.. that’d probably be useful.i love love the petite hand mold, it’s so expressive and easier to get into tiny tiny sleeves lmao. i’ll probably remake my mini jacket in a stretchier fabric (i just used quilting cotton for the current/prototype version) so it’s easier to dress the doll and i don’t have to use tweezers to ease the fabric over tiny hands.
i want to sew things for lagoona, but she’s literally my favorite doll and i think she’s perfect as is, so whatever. i loved her since g1, i’m not gonna stop now lol.
#my posts#so mad about ghoulia... they had her after black friday!! what happened!! today's just a random december day!!!!! target why!#i'm so happy.. my friend in texas saw them just putting out MH stuff and she's keeping watch for creepro/RD dolls for me#especially grateful since my stores never fucking got them?? hello???#allegedly there's a toys r us in canada that has RD at least but what a fucken drive lol.#i live close to the border and STILL it's such a drive. probably won't ever make it tbh#used to get all my dolls from toys r us... sob sob. come back to me beloved i miss your nanoblocks and your dolls#tho the walmart near me has a weirdly huge barbie section? not mad about it#dollblr

18 and 25 with Bakugo? If both is too much you can do 25 only!
So the two scenarios are kind of like different points in their relationship. The first one (your awkwardness to say I love you gives me life) takes place one year into the relationship. The second one (what do you wanna do for our anniversary? idk something stupid probably) is about a year later.
Also it wound up being kind of a long post so part two is under the cut just to make it easier for anyone just scrolling through
You had been dating for a year, a full year, and you couldn’t readily recall a time Bakugou had actually said ‘I love you.’ You assumed he had said it at least once or else you wouldn’t have continued to say it to him. It wasn’t like he didn’t let you know he did, just never outright said it.
“Wait, really? You don’t remember him ever telling you he loves you?” Mina asked.
“He must have at some point. I just can’t think of it,” you said.
The rest of the group you were sitting with stared at you.
“I don’t think that’s good (Y/N),” Kaminari said. “I know he kind of only has one setting, but like you can’t even think of one time…”
“It’s not like he’s silent when I tell him I love him. He says like you too or something.” You were starting to get annoyed. Weren’t they supposed to be his friends?
“You too is different than ‘I love you too.’” Sero added.
You rolled your eyes and stopped arguing with them. The conversation was going nowhere and it was just making you angry.–
Just because you had changed the topic didn’t mean that it wasn’t still burning in the back of your mind for a few hours. It got to the point where Bakugou even noticed. “If you keep pouting like that you’re gonna get wrinkles.”
You just hummed back in response.
Bakugou stopped what he was doing and faced you. “What?”
“Something your friends said stuck in the back of my mind. It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it.” You leaned in and gave him a quick kiss. “I love you.”
“Yeah, you too,” Bakugou said. He was obviously confused but he didn’t press the matter anymore.
–
You could tell something had changed the next day. Bakugou was unusually quiet and kept mostly to himself. One of the only things he said to you the whole day was when he was going out, he told you he’d be back soon, gave you a kiss on the cheek and left. If you were less confident in yourself and your relationship, you’d think he didn’t like you anymore.
–
Something was definitely up when he got back. He was exactly the same, and if there was one thing you learned in the past year, it was that Bakugou Katsuki didn’t do ‘quiet’. Not unless there was a lot more than usual going on in his head. He didn’t say much when you greeted him and continued on into your shared room. Determined, you followed him in.
“So, where’d you go?” you asked.
“Saw the crew.”
You were silent. You hopped they didn’t pull the same BS on him that they did to you the day before, but you had a bad feeling.
When you didn’t fill in the silence, he did. “They told me what they told you yesterday,” Bakugou said.
“I told you not to worry about it. It’s nothing, really,” you said. It was the truth, it didn’t bother you. It was just how Bakugou was and you accepted that by dating him. You were about to tell him that too when he turned around abruptly, face red.
“Well I…” he took a deep breath. “I have to… I’m… I…”
You took a step towards him. “Babe, you good?”
As you stretched out your hand, he grabbed your shoulders and yelled. “I love you!”
You couldn’t help it, you burst out laughing.
“Why is that funny?” he asked. It wasn’t quite as loud as his ‘confession’ but still loud.
“I just, your awkwardness to say I love you gives me life,” you said, and kissed him. “But don’t say it cause your friends guilted you into it. Don’t worry, I know.”
You always loved weekends. Who didn’t? But you loved them even more when you would convince your boyfriend to sleep in with you. The two of you had known each other for years, so you knew how much he loved to sleep. He would go to bed early and wake up late. Even if his internal alarm clock woke him up early, he would stay in bed until he felt like it.
That’s why when you two finally started dating after high school, you couldn’t believe that he would get up early, even on days off when he didn’t have to. He gave you the excuse that he was an adult now and he didn’t have time for childish things like sleeping in.
On the day before your anniversary, during dinner, you posed the question. “What should we do for our anniversary tomorrow?” you asked.
Bakugou grunted. “I dunno. Probably something stupid I guess.”
You hummed. “Okay, I’ll think of something then.” But you already had the perfect idea. Well, on how to start the day at least.
You rolled over Saturday morning on your anniversary. You stretched out to cuddle with him, but Bakugou was already starting to get out of bed. “Noooooo,” you groaned as you latched on to him. He tried to free himself when you reminded him, “You said you probably wanted to do something stupid for our anniversary. Do this one stupid thing with me! Stay in bed.” You could hear Bakugou scoff and you wanted to see what he would do. Finally, he got back into bed with you and pulled you close to him.
As you settled back into his warmth you heard him ask, “So, what else did you plan for today?”
You hummed. “I didn’t think that far ahead. I just wanted to get you to sleep in with me.”
You could feel his chest rise and fall as he sighed. “You’re such a dork.”
Nuzzling deeper into Bakugou’s chest, you sleepily mumbled, “Yeah, but I’m your dork. Looks like you’re stuck with me.”
Bakugou wrapped an arm around you and gave you a squeeze. “Just go back to sleep,” he said. You couldn’t see it, but you could hear him smiling in his voice.

Meant To Be
Group: SF9 Member: Taeyangie! Genre: Fluffy-angst because that’s all I’m good for. Soulmate!AU, non-idol!Taeyang, and some mess; collegeAU because I’m trash Request: Yes! Hello~ I saw that your requests are open! Could you do your take on a SF9 Taeyang scenario? Maybe something involving the soulmate trope of being able to see what is written on your soulmates skin on your own :) //I fell in love with your recent Taeyang scenario and just had to see more >< Length: short|medium|long-ish|idk man A/N: This has been a WIP for a while & I hope whenever it is finally posted you enjoy it, thank you for requesting. I really hope everyone understands it takes so long because I’m a college senior who has none of my shit together ever! *nervous laughter*
At the age of fifteen, all of you kids were told about the soulmate system if you guys didn’t know about it already. They had an Elder come in and explain it to the room full of rowdy kids what the system is, how it works, how each of them will find their soulmates one day.
It didn’t really interest you at first, in fact you thought the system was rather dumb. You didn’t get to choose who you loved, you were assigned someone who was “perfect” for you. Whatever that meant. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to find the person you’d end up spending your whole life with because you wanted too so badly. Your parents had showed you early on in your life just how wonderful the system could be. They were the perfect example as to why you secretly could not wait for your turn. They were happy together, they were a support system for the other. They were the poster couple of a happy and healthy marriage.
However there were always downsides, your soulmate was assigned to you and it was a societal standard to marry when a couple found each other. It was taboo to marry someone that was not your soulmate, yet there were plenty of stories. One person had fallen in love with another, they would have created a life plan even if they knew in the back of their minds it could fall apart. Then a soulmate would show up or happen upon the couple. If both chose to stay together then the soulmate was left to be alone. That was something that scared you, meeting the love of your life only to have them want nothing to do with you. Those horror stories stayed with you from the first time you heard them, always at the back of your mind.
Of course as teenagers no one took the system seriously. Everyone had a few serious relationships here and there, dating was mostly casual since parents were strict about the soulmate system. It drove everyone your age mad and it wasn’t a huge deal until you turned 20 anyway. None of you teenagers could understand the need to be so proper about things when you wouldn’t even be able to start looking until then.
Because for whatever reason on your twentieth birthday you were able to see any mark on your body that your soul mate made on theirs. You essentially became white boards for the other. There were countless stories of soulmates sending messages via this system, leaving addresses on arms or names on hands, even numbers on hidden body parts.
The day you turned 20, you awoke with a scribble on the back of your left hand. It seemed to be a girl’s name and number. The audacious feeling that boiled in your stomach had sat with you all day.
“Good morning birthday girl!!” Inseong busted into your room, a small wrapped present and a cupcake with a single candle.
“You’re especially annoying in the morning Inseong.” You groaned as your brother started to loudly sing to you, the pillow you put over your head not doing a damn thing.
“C’mon! You can finally see what your soulmate is up too!” Inseong was a hopeless romantic who ate the soulmate idea up, “You can find him! Her! Them!” You peaked up at him from under your pillow. “You know I don’t discriminate. Especially since I thought the guy down the street was mine.”
“I know Inseong.” You chuckled, remembering how quickly Inseong had accepted it himself when he saw a similar writing on the wrist of a guy in the neighboring apartment complex as his. “You were ready to propose to him the next week.”
“If it were meant to be, I feel I would have been very happy. He was a nice guy, but his soulmate is much sweeter than him. And that guy can cook!” Inseong set the cupcake on your bedside table and sat beside you.
“You still meet up with them?”
“Of course, almost confessing to a complete stranger lead me to Sammie.”
“That’s right.” You thought back to Inseong’s current girlfriend, who was more of a really good platonic friend where they both act like a couple because they haven’t found their soulmates yet. “How is she? She hasnt been over lately.
“Her last message to me yesterday said that her workload was recently tripled because two coworkers quit in the same day and she’s currently dying.”
He moved you around and pulled you into a sitting position and started examining your arms.
“What are you doing?”
“Checking for signs of--AH HA!” He pulled the back of your hand closer to his face. “They’re a player? I’ll have to fix that.”
“Okay, keep the protective older brother in check please.” You tried to laugh it off.
“If your soulmate is a shitty person I’m beating the shittiness out of them. Now old still.” Inseong pulled a black marker from his back pocket and scribbled over half the numbers, in no particular order to render the number useless. Then he drew a weird looking animal out of the name.
“Why does it have to look so phallic Inseong?” You groaned, looking at the new mess on the back of your hand. “I have class in a few hours.”
“They’re already being a dick, so it’s fitting.” Inseong ruffled your already messy hair. “Just scrub it off in the shower, if it still looks like a dick afterwards I’ll draw something less, dick-ish.”
“I swear.” You grumbled.
But you made a wish, blew out your candle, thanked your brother, and bounced off to the shower. After you had gotten yourself ready and managed to get most of the phallic picture scrubbed from your hand, you flew down the stairs to find Inseong in the kitchen.
“Eat before you go.”
He had prepared a simple breakfast for the two of you to eat together. After you made sure all you would need for class was on the counter by the door, you helped Inseong set the table and happily started eating.
“You think you’ll find them quickly?” Inseong was moving his food around, not really eating.
“I -- I don’t know.”
The atmosphere had taken a more solemn turn suddenly. You stole a glance at your brother to see him staring blankly into his bowl.
“It doesn’t really bother me if I do or not.” You shrugged. “I have a lot on my plate right now, and I have you.” You paused to grab his hand. “We have each other and frankly that’s all I need right now. But if fate were to bring whoever it is to me, then so be it.”
“I hope it would end up Rowoon ya know.” Inseong joked. “Zuho even, if it were someone we both already knew it’d be so much easier.”
“You and I both know I’d end up killing Zuho, he’s my polar opposite.”
“Opposites attract!” Inseong rolled his eyes.
“No, if you hadn’t drop Social Psych you’d know that’s not true.”
“Technicalities.” He waved it off. “What about Rowoon then?”
“He’s my best friend Seong, of course I love him but I don’t think I do in that way. If he ended up my soulmate I wouldn’t be upset it’d just be weird.”
“That’s understandable.” Inseong smiled at you, ate a few spoonfuls of food before putting his stuff in the sink and grabbing his things. “I took an early shift today so we can go out for your birthday. So don’t make too many plans after class and invites your friends, it’s on me tonight.”
“Alright, don’t work too hard, I’ll see you later Seong.” He waved as he slipped on his shoes and left the apartment.
Ten minutes later you were mirroring his actions and heading to the bus stop to meet Rowoon. He was half asleep as you tugged him onto the bus after you and found a pair of open seats. He mumbled a quiet happy birthday before nodding off, head on your shoulder. Knowing he was probably up late either working on assignments for his classes or playing games well into the morning with Zuho, the latter being more plausible. You wake him up at the stop outside the university and the two of you trudge to the cafe on campus.
“My usual please.” Rowoon told the older cafe worker behind the counter we knew as Jaeyoon. “And her usual, it’s on me today.”
“Ah! Morning kids!” Jaeyoon’s smile blinded you so early in the morning. “I’ll get them, just a moment.”
Jaeyoon jumped into relaxed action, doodling your names on two cups and going to work. Rowoon waited by the counter making lazy conversation with Jaeyoon as you stepped towards the display. There wasn’t a lot of baked goods out yet since the cafe had been open maybe an hour. You had been mindlessly wondering around the familiar cafe for only a few minutes when Rowoon called you over.
“C’mon (Y/N), our classes start in twenty.” You looked down at your watch an noticed it was in fact 7:40, your 8:00am class was on it’s way.
“Thank you Jaeyoon.” You smiled at him as he finished your drink on the bar just out of your sight. “Why are there sprinkles on it?” You tilted your head a bit to the side.
“Happy Birthday!” He grinned bright, presenting you a colorfully topped drink. “Rowoon made the request so blame him if it tastes funny.”
“Thanks Jae.” Rowoon rolled his eyes. “You could have just acted like you knew.”
“I knew it was coming up but with the extra hours I’ve been working the actual dates have slipped my mind the last few weeks.” He shrugged. “And the last time I tried to flare up her usual she didn’t talk to me for a few days, our (Y/N) is very particular.”
“It was a day, mainly because I was busy but believe what you want.” You stuck your tongue out at him. “Inseong is taking me out to eat tonight and said I could invite some friends, when do you get off?”
“I’ll be done about 4 today, since I opened.”
“We’ll both be out of classes by then, we’ll meet here and you can walk back with us.”
“Sure, that’d be a lot of fun, thanks kid.” He ruffled your hair.
“I’m in a decent mood so I’ll ignore that.”
“Okay you two, we have class remember. See you later Jae.” Rowoon tugged you away as the two of you were playfully glaring at the other smirks adorned on your faces.
As you bid your see you laters, you took your normal seat in class. Your creative writing class had an interesting array of students, from wide-eyed freshmen to stressed seniors hoping for an easier class amongst their major based classes. You pulled out you notebook and pencil, loaded up the slides on your ipad mini and took a few sips of your drink as the rest of the class filtered in.
The room was chilly like usual and you were thankful for grabbing a thin hoodie on the way out. You had tucked your hands into the pocket of your hoodie as you heard the usual classmates enter and take up the row behind you in the amphitheater-esk classroom. Without meaning to, in the rather quiet classroom you listen to the conversation going on behind you.
“Hwiyoung, did you finish the short story for class today?” A voice you’ve heard all semester sounded tired.
“I finished it yesterday after class, is that look saying you didn’t?” The studious younger guy behind you chuckled.
“Dawon wanted someone to go drinking with him and obviously you can’t go, and he guilted me into it.” A soft voice groaned from directly behind you. “I only got about half of it finished.”
“It needs to be turned in before the end of class, if you want to finish it I’ll take notes for you.”
“The notes are online but I’d appreciate that.” You heard him get settled and start up his laptop before you heard their loud friend, the one named Dawon enter the room.
“Taeyang, Hwiyoung, I’m gonna need notes from one of you, I need to sleep.” You rolled your eyes at that, this Dawon guy never took notes in class. Granted, the class was an elective for most and a seemingly decently easy class.
“Did you at least finish the short story?” The tone from Hwiyoung was doubtful, and his question was followed by a crunching sound.
“Of course, 750-word story? I finished that before I went out last night.” Out of the corner of your eye you say Dawon shoot them finger guns before he folded his arms on the table in front of him and thumped his head down.
“Incredible.” The disbelief in Taeyang’s voice made you smile to yourself.
The trio made class pretty entertaining with Hwiyoung always up to participate in discussion, and on the days Dawon is awake for the lecture he’s always making the 8:00am lecture more lively and enjoyable.
A few quiet moments later, aside from the quiet snoring from Dawon, the creative writing professor walked in at the bottom of the room and set up for class. You resigned yourself to doodling on the open notebook page when you felt a weird tickle on your left forearm. Like someone was writing on your arm.
After a moment and a quick glance to see if anyone was looking, you slid your hoodie sleeve up just enough to see in plain and quite pretty print a simple statement.
You can see me now
A chill ran down your spine. You soul mate was reaching out to you. The tickle came again as you watched the words appear on your arm.
Happy Birthday soulmate
In your neatest print you use the black pen to the right of your notebook to reply just under the last message.
I can uh thanks
You watch as a small daisy is sketched onto your arm and a blush rises onto your cheeks and you start to feel too hot in your thin hoodie.
I’ve waited for you for quite a while
Oh? How long?
Turned 21 in February
Just a bit older then
Only a year
You looked up every few moments to copy notes, the tickle on your arm making it hard to focus on the lecture but the thrill of actually talking to your soulmate sent your heart into an erratic beating pattern.
What are you doing?
Lecture, unsuccessfully taking notes
Am I bothering you?
No, the lecture is boring. What about you?
Trying to finish an assignment, also unsuccessfully
Already pretty similar aren’t we
You added a smiley face as an after thought because if this were a text conversation you’d have sent the laughing emoji. The conversation, if you can call it that, pauses as the lecture drones on. By the end of the class you realize how covered your arm is in this person’s pretty handwriting and yours.
In a haste to get to Rowoon to tell him you quickly pack your things as the professor dismisses the class, reminding the class about the short story due in ten minutes. You hear a grunt as Dawon wakes up and stretches and a successful sigh directly behind you. You don’t realize your sleeve is still up until you stand and see Dawon staring at your arm. In a sudden flush of embarrassment, you yank your sleeve down and shove your stuff into your backpack. Just as you stand straight up and turn to leave you come almost face to face with Taeyang behind you, who was leaning forward to get the rest of his things from the edge of the table just behind you.
As your eyes meet, for the first time being this close you can see how pretty and clear his eyes are. You’re so close to each other in this moment you could count his eye lashes. Dawon sees this but stays silent. Hwiyoung is who breaks up the moment by asking them if they wanted to grab something to eat at the campus cafe before their next class.
Embarrassed you run off, leaving the three guys standing there, Taeyang’s two friends trying to figure out what they missed.
You bolt towards Rowoon’s classroom to see him waiting and the two of you head off towards the Social Psychology class the two of you have together. As you walk across campus you fill Rowoon on what happened and show him the writing all over your forearm.
“Look at that? Barely old enough for this soulmate business to have taken affect and you’ve found them.” Rowoon smiled as he ruffled your hair much to your dismay.
“You know I don’t give the soulmate idea much pull in my life.”
“I know, but wouldn’t it be nice? To find the one meant for you.”
“I guess, but I don’t even know who they are. Inseong asked me something similar this morning.” You shrugged, as the two of you entered your classroom and found your seats.
The conversation dropping as class started soon after you got situated. Class flew by because you loved Social Psych, lunch went by quickly as well. Then your last class each, yours being a 3-hour lecture, went by surprisingly quickly and before you knew it you were back at the cafe to pick up Jaeyoon.
“Drinks are on me!” Jaeyoon giggled, raising his hand to catch the server’s attention. “I made bank on tips today.”
He quickly asked for a few bottles of soju, even though he knew that you wouldn’t drink nearly as much as the three guys around you. Meat was cooking and conversation was flowing. The stress from the day melting away from the group gathered around you.
“I know as kids we’re warned about eating dessert before dinner, but I brought this from the cafe for you.” Jaeyoon’s grin went to each ear as he pulled a small box from his bag and set it on the table before you. “It’s only right that we have cake in honor of the twentieth anniversary of your birth.”
“Why did you say it like that?” You giggled, covering your face with one hand as you opened the box with the other. “That you Jae.” You thanked him sincerely, eyeballing the cake before you. “It’s big enough for all of us to have some too!”
“I didn’t know what else to get you to be truthful, Seong here was suppose to go with me to help pick something out but this asshole doesn’t make time for me anymore.”
“Sounds like a lover’s quarrel.” Rowoon muttered, hiding the remark in his glass of beer.
“Sorry I’m late!” Zuho waves as he drops down in the open seat between Jaeyoon and Rowoon, giving you the biggest smile he can muster. “Happy Birthday (Y/N)!” And he slides you a gift, as he notices the situation.
You heard Rowoon’s remark and choked on the sip from your own glass of beer. The coughing fit draws the attention of the tables directly beside you and Inseong quickly apologizes as Rowoon pats your back holding back his giggles.
As you look up you see at the table directly ahead of you, your three 8:00am classmates staring right at you with two people you don’t recognize. For a moment, everything freezes before Rowoon smacks your back rather roughly and you shoot daggers at him.
“That hurts!” You whined, bending out of the swing of another pat when that tickle hit your arm again. “You shouldn’t be mean to the birthday girl.”
“Okay, quit playing the meat is done cooking, let’s eat.” Inseong pulls all the attention to him as he’s cutting the meat into a pile on a plate in the middle and putting more onto the grill. And the eating begins, the conversation dies down to occasional comments, like Zuho informing all of you that his dance classes he is teaching are going well.
The table straight across from you and your friends and brother keeps looking over after hearing your coughing fit earlier. You don’t notice because of the four guys around you keeping your attention on them.
“She’s in our class.” Dawon addresses quietly, metal chopsticks resting in the corner of his mouth, waiting as Hwiyoung and Chani finish cooking the meat.
“(Y/N)? Right?” Hwiyoung asks, looking between Dawon and Taeyang.
“Yea, that’s (Y/N).” Taeyang agrees quietly, focusing on the drink in hand.
“What class?”
“Creative writing Hyung.” Dawon looked from the table you were at to his friends around him. “The class Taeyang is always staring into nothingness during.”
“Nothingness?” Hwiyoung perks up, “He’s always staring at her!” He very obviously points at your table.
“Don’t do that!” Taeyang jumps and jerks Hwiyoung’s arm down.
“Oooooh! Is she really pretty hyung?” Chani teases, his back being towards your table and not having seen you.
“She’s the quiet type in class, very cute and studious. She’d put our Tae to shame with her grades.” Dawon teases Taeyang by pulling on his ear.
“All his stories are about her.” Hwiyoung adds, ducking when Taeyang goes to smack the back of his head.
“Ah, this is the girl you’ve told me about.” Youngbin rests his chin on his hand, watching Taeyang blush.
“Can we not talk about this here?” His friends watched in deluded joy as Taeyang’s face was pink.
“It’s her birthday.” Dawon’s tone is casual. “If you haven’t talked to her before, why not now?”
“We’ve have a few times before, mostly in classes we’ve had together.” Taeyang tries to play it off. “I wouldn’t even know what to say to her right now.”
“How about ‘happy birthday’?” Chani laughed at Taeyang’s discomfort.
“Here.” Dawon pulls the bag from his side and hands it to Taeyang. “Figured since you like her so much you can give her this for her birthday.”
Taeyang, under the watch of his friends around the table, very slowly peaks into the bag to see a small plastic box with a red velvet cupcake and a small bouquet of daisies and some other tiny yellow flower.
“Her favorite flavor of cake is red velvet and she likes daises.” Dawon chirped, feigning boredom.
“How do you know that?” Chani asked completely and blatantly shocked.
“We have a mutual friend. (Y/N) and I.” He shrugged, a glint in his eye. “Besides, something tells me that Taeyang here and (Y/N) would make a good couple.”
“The only problem here is she is surrounded by three friends and her brother, and they all look intimidating meaning Tae will never make it over there.” Hwiyoung pointed a chopstick at his older friend.
“10 bucks he does.” Chani stuck his hand out towards Hwiyoung.
“Really? Alright, 10 bucks he won’t.” They shook on it.
“I can help.” Youngbin stood, “I’ll be back in a few minutes.”
The remaining guys at the table watched in shock as Youngbin walked over to the table you were at and sat down between your brother and a friend.
“Inseong?” Youngbin smacked your brother on the bak lightly. “I don’t think I’ve seen you since we graduated college!”
“Youngbin! Wow! What are you doing here?” Inseong spun around and gave the new face a quick hug.
“This is where some of my juniors frequent and they invited me here tonight, what about you?” Youngbin turned to face everyone at the table. “Hello, I’m an old classmate of Inseong here, I’m Kim Youngbin.”
“I’m Kim (Y/N), Inseong’s younger sister.” You bowed your head, greeting your brother’s friend.
The rest of the guys introduced themselves as Inseong sat there beaming.
“We’re here to celebrate (Y/N)’s birthday!”
You noticed the way Youngbin stared at your arm for a second, the arm that was still covered in the conversation with your soulmate throughout the day. He caught sight of a familiar hand writing before smiling to himself and focusing on your face.
“Happy Birthday (Y/N), my juniors were just saying that you looked familiar. Do you have class with any of them?” He motioned towards his table and everyone looked in time to see the four very obviously pretend they weren’t trying to listen in.
“I have a class with Dawon, Hwiyoung, and” You paused, locking eyes with Taeyang, “Taeyang. We have a lecture together.”
“So you do know them,” Youngbin’s grin seemed mischievous, “One of them heard it was your birthday and got you something but he’s too nervous to come give it to you himself. I know it’s your birthday and all but if you go over there he’ll give it to you.” Youngbin nodded behind you and as you looked up, Dawon left for the bathroom.
In the next moment Hwiyoung grabbed Chani by the sleeve and dragged him away, a wrap hanging out of Chani’s mouth. You once again locked eyes with Taeyang and you felt your entire body heat up.
“Oh, Inseong she’s blushing.” Youngbin loudly whispered to your brother.
“Go on.” Inseong encouraged, ignoring Youngbin. “We’ll wait for you to get back.”
“Alright, I’ll be back shortly.” With a deep breath and an encouraging look from each of the guys, you stood and moved towards Taeyang.
He quickly started scribbling a message in the card he found at the bottom of the bag. A quick happy birthday and well wishes. When he looked back up his hand froze because you were right in front of him.
“May I sit?” You gestured to the seat beside him Youngbin had previously been in.
“Go ahead.” Taeyang’s voice was quiet, just like in class. “I -- uh, here. Uhm... Happy Birthday?” He offered weakly, his cheeks and ears pink.
You looked down to see a cute card in one hand with a cupcake box resting on top of the card and a bouquet of daisies in the other hand. Shock was evident on your face at the thoughtful gifts, you hadn’t talked to Taeyang as much as you would have liked so you had no idea how he knew you liked these two things so much unless he made a lucky guess.
“Dawon helped pick them out. He uhh - he said that you liked daisies the most. I can’t take credit for the gifts. But please accept them.”
You gingerly took them from Taeyang, trying to control your own blush when you practically held hands as you took the gifts from him. You smelled the flowers first, daisies smelled so fresh and pleasant. They were simple and beautiful too. You looked into the cupcake box to find quite a large single red velvet cupcake with a little edible heart on the side. Then the note that fell onto the table caught your attention. You set the box down and cradled the flowers as you opened the card. His little message and the encouragement at the end made your heart swell a little, even if it wasn’t completely his idea it was still really sweet.
“Thank you Taeyang, this was really sweet. Thank Dawon for me too. I appreciate the flowers and the cupcake so much.” He watched with a smile as you put the card into your pocket. “I must return to my brother and friends though, they get rowdy with my watchful eyes.”
“Of course.” Taeyang stood with you. “It was no problem, (Y/N). Uhm, happy birthday again.” He watched dumbfounded as you sent him such a pretty smile.
“I’ll see you in creative writing later?”
“Yea, of course.”
And then you were walking back to your table and Taeyang’s heart was beating so fast he felt it was going to give out. Youngbin apologized for interrupting and promised to call Inseong later that week and rejoined Taeyang at their table. Slowly the rest of the table returned, Chani was ten dollars richer, Hwiyoung was ten poorer, and Dawon seemed to be waiting for something to happen. Before anyone could ask him about it, especially Taeyang, they heard you gasp.
You stood back up and walked straight to Taeyang, a small card in one hand you hadn’t seen before. You immediately grabbed the sleeve of his jacket of his left arm and pulled it up to reveal all the writing that was a copy of the writing on your arm. You just stared for a moment, Taeyang started to panic because you weren’t saying anything.
You wordlessly pulled the sleeve of your hoodie up to show him your arm, a perfect match to his.
“How?”
“This.” You handed him the note you found hidden in the bouquet.
All it said was “Check his handwriting again” which definitely would have been weird, but when he looked between your arms he understood what it meant instantly.
“Dawon?” Taeyang spun on his heels, without force enough for you to let go of him. “How did you know?”
“I saw her arm this morning in class. I recognized that handwriting immediately. It felt too good to be true and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Especially since you woke up me freaking out about the picture you woke up to on your hand.” Taeyang flushed again.
“Oh my god.” You covered your face, Taeyang had seen the dick drawn on his hand this morning. He must have thought you did that. “Inseong drew the dick this morning.” You admitted sheepishly, only to find yourself wrapped in a hug.
“I’ve waited quite a while for you.” Taeyang murmured to you. “Who would have thought that my soulmate would end up being the only person I’ve crushed on since high school.”
You moved to check your ears, had Taeyang just confessed to liking you? Liking you for an extended period of time? After a moment, you hugged him back, just burying your face into his chest and holding him tight.
“I don’t really believe in this soulmate stuff and I’ve heard you talk about how you don’t either but if you’d give me a chance, I’d like to try believing.” Taeyang asked quietly, trying to look you in the eye, but the focus flitted around a lot. “I mean, if you’re meant to be, we could alteast give it a chance right?”
“I’d really like that actually.” You could only smile, things worked out surprisingly well, like it didn’t feel real.
The cat calls and hollers followed from the mixed of the groups you two had been eating with. Inseong and Rowoon were cheering the loudest, almost being overtaken by Dawon who single handedly was screaming.
“I knew you’d find them quickly.” Inseong mused, staring at the two of you with hearts in his eyes. “But looks like we need to take a talk, your name is Taeyang right?”
You chuckled when Taeyang gulped, ultimately agreeing to take things slow since the two of you weren’t too far into your college degrees. Even with the slow burning relationship you were happy, and the fact that this happened so quickly after being about to really see your soulmate, it felt like a 1 in a million chance.

I Know
Lover!Yang Hongseok x Colleague!Kang Kino AU
Note: well if you can’t tell, im kinda stuck on continuing my previous scenario and also another one that im still working on. hence why i managed to whip up this one! hope you enjoy this one! drop me some feedback or requests right here! (btw let me know if i should do part 2 to this!)
The clock finally struck twelve noon, meaning that it was time for lunch. Finally some time out of the office. You quickly tidied up your workspace before leaving.
“You’re in a rush,” your deskmate, Hani, looked over.
“Yup, Hongseok wanted to see me for lunch since he can’t make it for dinner,”
“Wait, do you think he’s-”
“WHAT, no no no. It can’t be... Anyway, I’ll see you later!” you quickly rushed out.
“Let me know how it goes!” you managed to catch what she said before you left.
Could it be? You noticed that Hongseok has been awfully sweet lately - always buying your favourite flowers, having dinner dates and whatnot. Sure you appreciate all of it but you were a little suspicious. So you asked Hani for her opinion on it and she popped the big question, “do you think he is going to propose to you?”
You’ve always had that thought, especially recently as you are moving forward into your fifth anniversary. Was it already time for this new phase of your relationship? It got you feeling a little excited, just at the thought of it. But you decided to put that thought at the back of your mind, just so that you won’t have any expectations.
Here you are, sitting at your favourite cafe with Hongseok, chatting while having lunch. Well, more like a one-sided conversation since he has been awfully quiet the whole time. You’ve always been able to pick up on his feelings or so you thought so you asked what was wrong.
“_________” your heart skipped a beat, hearing him call your name.
You weren’t ready for what he is going to say next. What should you do? How should you react? What should you say?
“Let’s not see each other,” this was not how you expected it to turn out.
Sure you said that you wasn’t expecting a proposal but a break-up was the very last thing you thought you would hear. You suddenly lost your appetite and everything just fell silent at your table.
“It’s not you, it’s me,” Hongseok tried to reason with you. Such a cliche excuse and it obviously meant it was because of you.
“I’m sorry. How long do you want to not see each other? A week? Two weeks?” You compromised, trying to save your relationship that is at its ends.
“Which part of not seeing each other do you not understand? What makes you think we are getting back together? Stop trying to hang onto me! I don’t need you,”
“There’s someone else, right?” He tried to hide his shock expression when finally said something after the long pause.
That was all you need to confirm the intuition you had. You saw him through his lies. He didn’t need you only because he has someone else. When you asked him about why he treated you so well over the few weeks, he merely said that it was just to give you good memories of the relationship. Hearing this made you even more mad.
“Wow you really had to break up with me during my lunch hour,” at this point you were just spouting nonsense, trying to make sense of the situation at hand.
“Don’t cry. Goodbye,” Hongseok then took his leave.
Awhile after he left, you could finally find the strength to leave the place. You decided to take the longer route back to the office to clear your mind. You wanted to hold it all in but as you made your back, you found yourself sobbing uncontrollably. Conveniently, it started raining, almost as if it was trying to help you cover up your tear-stained face.
You can’t believe Hongseok did that to you. Did those years mean nothing to him? All those memories together, were they easily replaced? It was such a precious relationship to you. You actually thought it could lead to forever. But it just ended right before your eyes, with no prior warning.
You were making your way towards the traffic light, with your mind still occupied by the break-up. Just as you were about to cross the road, you felt someone grabbed you by the hand.
“You should be careful! You could’ve gotten into an accident,” the person then sheltered with their umbrella.
You looked up to see who was your saviour and it was Kino, your colleague and neighbour. He’s one of the kindest and sweetest person you’ve ever met in your department, apart from Hani. Even though you don’t talk to one another as much, he’s still very caring towards you.
“You’re soaking wet. Here, put on my jacket. You’re gonna catch a cold,” he placed his jacket over your shoulders.
You thanked him softly then continued walking with him in silence. As you stood by one another in the empty lift, Kino handed you a hankerchief.
“It seems like you had a rough day. It’s okay, you don’t have to tell me. But whatever it is, just know that you’re not alone,” he gave you a soft smile.
“Thanks Kino. It’s just... Hongseok just broke up with me. He said he didn’t need me anymore. But i’m pretty sure it’s because he already have someone else. Wow i can’t believe i’m blurting all of this out to you. I’m so sorry. I’m such a wreck right now,” you tidied yourself up, before heading back to the office.
“No no it’s okay. It’s times like this when you need someone to talk to. You should take the rest of the day off. I’ll tell the boss that you’re not feeling too well. Don’t worry, i won’t say a word about what happened. Just wait here, i’ll grab your stuff,”
After awhile, Kino came back out with your bag and told you that he already called for a cab to get you home.
“Your jacket?”
“It’s okay, you need it more. Don’t worry,” he gave you a soft smile again.
You thanked him then headed into the elevator. You quickly pressed the open button again when you heard him call your name again.
“Hongseok’s an asshole for treating you that way. I’m sorry you have to go through this. Take care ________,” you were touched by his genuine concern.
When you got home, you quickly shed off your work clothes then changed into your pyjamas. You literally just spent the whole day sobbing in bed. Hongseok don’t deserve these tears but you just kept on crying. The day slowly transitioned to night. It was only then when you dragged yourself out of bed to grab a bite from the kitchen. In that moment the doorbell rang. It was none other than Kino.
“Hey, sorry for disturbing you this late. But i thought you might be hungry?” He held up bags of take-out.
“Were you working overtime today? You really shouldn’t have bought food,” you invited him into your home.
“No it’s fine, it’s the least i could do. I just wanted to make sure you were doing fine,”
Both of you spent the rest of the time, eating together while you let out your emotions. Kino kindly listened through all of it. You felt bad for burdening him with everything but he kept insisting that it was okay, as long as it made you feel better. Honestly, it did made you feel better and you were very glad that he came by to accompany you.
The next day, you headed back to work as per normal. Thanks to that late night rant session with Kino, you felt a lot better. You still felt like shit but you had to move on.
“Hey, are you feeling better? Heard from Kino that you had stomach pains from lunch,” Hani went over the moment you got to your desk.
“Oh? Oh yeah, i’m feeling better. Good thing we bumped into each other. Hey, did you see the stack of papers on my table? I told boss that I’ll submit it to him by today since i missed yesterday,” you started going through your desk drawers.
“Kino took it yesterday. He was still working even after everyone left. Maybe he went through them,”
You headed over to his desk and saw the said stack of papers. As you flipped through them, you noticed that he already went through them. You were touched by his actions. He really didn’t have to but he even did your workload. You left a post-it on his table saying “thanks again. Lunch later? My treat”
You were curious why he cared so much for you, even though you were just colleagues. Kang Kino, what are you?

Synchronicity: 10 Signs The Universe Is Speaking To You
What is synchronicity and why does it have such an impact on our lives? Well, whether you believe in it or not, synchronicity is a spiritual phenomena, which is presented by experiencing frequent coincidences, names, phrases, numbers or even seeing the same animal regularly (omens). Coincidence, on the other hand , does definitely exist just like synchronicity, but ther’s a slight difference. Coincidences only happen once and one time only, whereas synchronicity is the same coincidence that keeps getting repeated. Now this is when a simple coincidence that happens to us becomes a sign from the higher realms and the universe. This is when we should take note of it and listen to our intuition, rather than ignoring it. The first person to take notice of synchronicity, was Swiss psychiatrist and psychologist Carl Jung, who was talking to a client about a dream they had about a golden sacrab beetle, and before they knew it, they saw one in the window of Carl’s psychotherapy cabinet which was rather majestic considering that species of beetle wasn’t native to Switzerland.
Most people in everyday society believe that synchronicity is utterly meaningless and should be taken as a pinch of salt. However, this is the attitude that feeds mediocrity and unsatisfaction within our lives. By acting this way, we are subconsciously blocking ourselves from experiencing serendipity, joy and blessings that life brings into our path. Ever since we were children, society and our parents have continuously made us believe that the world is dangerous, scary and full of negativity and tragedy. Society doesn’t want you to have a curious mind because society thinks these people have the power to change world instead of conforming like everyone else. So start embracing your inner child and explore the world like you’ve never stepped on Earth before. You’ll begin to see your life as more blissful, wondrous and free, so adopt this attitude and end the cycle of negativity.
1. You keep noticing or hearing their name in random places
Have you ever experienced this? When you consistently hear or see a particular name everywhere on your travels it means that this person male or female, is soon to enter your life in 3D some time in the near future, who will awaken you spiritually and make drastic changes in your life for the better. It can also have romantic connotations as well, which means that they will be manifested as your ultimate lover that you’ve always dreamed of. This is very common with people who are on the twin flame journey, particularly during the seperation stage. The universe gives you these divine messages because it wants you to know that you are still loved by your beloved twin, even though in reality it doesn’t seem like it at all. It’s like the universe is telling you to never give up hope and listen to your higher self.
2. You see angel numbers and sequences on a regular basis
You see numbers like 1111, 777, 888, 111 and many other sequences on a regular basis whether that is on a clock, number plates or telephone numbers. Sometimes you can wake up at the same time every morning or night as well, which often causes many people to freak out. The synchronicity of 1111 is very common within the spiritual community, as it generally means someone special is coming into your life such as a twin flame. However, it can also mean that you are going through a spiritual awakening as well. I have experienced the 1111 phenomena occasionally, but it is not as common for me. My angel number has been 111 for over a year and it continues to be even now. I have also seen 222 and 333 randomly sometimes. These numbers can also represent as a deceased loved one that is trying to communicate with you. See these numbers as a message from a deceased relative that is telling you to keep following your spiritual path and have faith in it.
3. You think of someone and then out of the blue you accidently bump into them
When this happens most people take this as a pure coincidence or chance. This is right, especially when it only happens once and never to occur again. However, when you consistently think of someone and see them randomly on your travels, take note. Do not get this synchronicity confused with stalking, as this can be mistaken very easily. If you keep bumping into someone serendipitously this means that this particular person will have a powerful impact in your life in someway. They can be people you knew in the past or a random stranger you just met yesterday.
4. Hearing a song on the radio that reminds you of someone or scenario that had a significant impact in your life
Have you ever listened to the radio and then a random song plays with lyrics that coincidentally matches up with how you feel about someone or a scenario? I have experienced this several times in my life. This usually happens between soulmates and twin flames during the separation phase of the divine partnership. It is another form of telepathy or psychic communication soulmates and twin flames can experience when they’re not talking to each other in the physical world. Music is created and lead by the emotions and the spirit, so this is why many twin flames and soulmates have experienced this synchronicity while they’re on their spiritual journey to reunite with each other again.
5. Randomly thinking about someone and they call you or send you a message a split second after
This phenomenon is very common with soulmates, but more so with twin flames. This phenomenon is called telepathy, which means mental communication between two people (whether they are near each other or faraway). Sometimes twin flame or soulmate couples can have telepathic communication - even when they’re on the other side of the world from each other. I have experienced this myself, and I have to confess that I’ve often scratched my head out of pure confusion because the phenomena is just absolutely bizarre. It’s so bizzare that no one would believe you if you told them about it or they would ask for evidence to prove that it exists. Bearing in mind that soulmates and twin flames don’t necessarily have to be a potential romantic partner, but they can also be a relative, your child, sibling, a best friend or parent. However, most of the time twin flames (more so than soulmates) are romantic partnerships.
6. You come across something that fixes a problem that has been worrying you for some time
Have you ever gone into a store or read an article online and then out of the corner of you eye, you suddenly see something that has the answer to a problem that you’ve been desperately wanting to fix? These are epiphanies or miracles from the universe showing you that you can finally break down the blocks that have cause you pain, suffering and anguish. When you see this, the universe is telling you that there is hope and you can escape from what has been holding you back.
7. You meet a stranger that awakens you about a particular aspect in your current life
Throughout our daily lives we meet many people who come in and come out without us consciously thinking about it, but then there’s some people that entered our life in some way that stay in our memory for many days, months, years, decades or even for a lifetime. These people may have been a stranger that helped you or saved your life or that special someone who took your breath away at the first glance of them. These people are usually lightworkers, twin flames, soulmates or your guardian angel that has incarnated on Earth. When you encounter someone like this, you feel an instant connection to them which feels sacred and cosmic. These people are your healers, protectors, divine lovers, soul friends and spirit guides. This why you’ll always remember them for many years.
8. You consistently see meaningful or sacred symbols
These symbols can be anything that has significant meanings and interpretations or have a religious connection to them. Symbols such as the holy trinity or infinity (lemniscate) are perfect examples of this. If you are on the twin flame journey, whether that is meeting your twin for the first time in 3D or you are currently going through separation you may see synchronicity involving the infinity symbol. When this happens the universe is basically telling you that their love for you is eternal and unbreakable and you should never give up hope even when you feel lost, helpless and stuck. On my twin flame journey, I have experienced synchronicity, especially with the infinity symbol so much so that I decided to buy an infinity necklace because it’s meaning meant so much to me.
9. You casually find yourself watching a movie that accurately mirrors the story of your life and what you’re going through (or have gone through)
This is a rarer type of synchronicity, as there are not many movies that have been made, which are nearly accurate to your own life story. If you have experienced this before, consider yourself lucky because it’s very, very rare. I believe that this is the most meaningful and poignant kind of synchronicity that I have listed in this post.
10. Reoccurring prophetic dreams about an event or person that will soon be entering your life
This synchronicity is very common when you begin to start waking up spiritually and develop psychic abilities. When you have very profound dreams that are repeated regularly with the same dream, this is known as clairvoyance or psychic vision. You’ll begin to have these at the very beginning of your spiritual awakening and journey. By having these dreams, you are now becoming self-aware of your divine gifts and talents that you can share with the world, rather than ignoring them and pushing them away.

Y/n ends up dating kihyun and wonho gets jealous, kihyun ends up just using her cuz they dared him to date y/n. After finding out she runs to wonho and that’s when the smut comes in. Can you please make this request im gonna look forward to this ff. Thx xoxo💜
Word count ; 2.3k words
Genre ; Angst, Smut, Bits of fluff
A/N ; Thank you for requesting sweetiee<3 Sorry it took so long! I was having some problems with my computer. I originally wanted to post it yesterday, but the whole Jonghyun thing just... It affected me really badly, to say the least.
You clenched your fists, getting impatient. You took deep breaths, biting down on your bottom lip so hard you swore it was bleeding. No matter how many times you tried to calm yourself down, it would not work. You stared at the red-haired male in front of you with absolute disgust,
“Kihyun would never do such a thing, Wonho. Stop lying.”
Wonho scoffed, crossing his arms across his chest, “Why would I lie to you?”
You opened your mouth, wanting to counterattack his words, but no words came out. You knew Wonho since you both were in diapers. You grew up with him, you witnessed every single failure, success, and heartbreak he has had thus far. He was your partner in crime, the Bonnie to your Clyde, your brother from another mother. You knew every single flaw about him, just as he did with yours.
And throughout the 20 plus years that you have known him, never was he known as a liar. The Wonho you knew was always very sweet, honest and caring. There would be no reason for him to remotely lie about something, even if it was a joke. Especially to you.
But, you still couldn’t trust him.
You chewed on your bottom lip, pacing around your bedroom. Wonho’s words echoed in your head the entire time. Kihyun doesn’t love you. Those four words haunted you for the rest of the day, not giving you any time to really let the words sink into you.
No matter how hard you thought about it, Wonho just does not seem to be telling the truth. If Kihyun really did not love you, then why would he go out of his ways to call and text you every single day? To skip and call in sick for practices just to spend time with you. It just wasn’t making sense.
You sat on the foot of the bed, looking at the sleeping state of your boyfriend. He looked so peaceful, so innocent. You smiled faintly, walking over to him and bending down, so that you were face-to-face with him. Your hand found its way into his hair, brushing the strands out of his face.
This made him scrunch up his face slightly, which made you chuckle. You pressed your lips to his forehead, inhaling in his scent, savoring the moment, before you saw his phone screen light up. You looked over at his phone, and saw that he had received a text from Minhyuk.
You typed in his password and opened the text, hoping that Kihyun would not get mad at you for snooping through his phone, invading his privacy. You scanned through Minhyuk’s text,
‘5 days left ;))’
You tilted your head in confusion. 5 days? To what? As far as you were informed, Kihyun did not have any plans for the week, or so you thought. Were they having some sort of gathering? Or maybe a special even to attend? Why would the winky face be there? As much as you hated to be the nosy girlfriend, you let your curiosity take the best of you as you typed away on his phone,
‘5 days to?’
Minhyuk was not online, so you had to wait for him to come back online again for him to reply. You placed the phone down, turning to look at the small coffee table beside your bed. On the small coffee table was a lamp, and a framed picture of you and Kihyun on your 5-month anniversary. You smiled, recalling the memory. How shy and awkward Kihyun was when asking help from a stranger to take a picture of the both of you.
You picked up the picture, revealing a small envelope that was placed behind the picture. You glanced over at Kihyun before quickly grabbing the envelope, and placing the photo back in its original position so that it seems as if nothing has happened.
On the envelope, it wrote, ‘To: Y/N’.
You furrowed your eyebrows. Why was Kihyun writing a letter to you, and why did he address you as Y/N? And not his usual, Honey, Baby, or even Princess? Slowly peeling the envelope open so as to not let Kihyun know that you have read the letter. Once you succeeded in getting the letter out without ruining the envelope, you placed the envelope back on the coffee table. You slowly read the first few lines,
‘Hey Y/N,
It’s been about 7 months since I first asked you out, remember?
Throughout these 7 months, you had really taught me the meaning of love and how to love someone, even if that was not my intentions at first.’
Not my intentions?
‘I would like to thank you for treating me so well, and for always being there by my side.
For always bringing me food while I’m stuck at work.
For always reassuring me when I have doubts about myself.
And most importantly, for always loving me.
I would like to be very honest with you, Y/N.’
Honest?
‘I did not actually like you from the beginning.
I have only seen you as a friend this entire time.
This relationship was a lie.
I was dared to date you-’
Wait, what? A dare? A fucking dare?
Biting on your bottom lip, you turned over to look at Kihyun who was sleeping peacefully, hot tears brimming your eyes, threatening to fall. The phone screen lit up, which meant that Minhyuk had replied. You swallowed, picking up the phone and pressing the power button, looking at his reply,
‘You know, 5 days till the end of your 7 month dare ;)) I can’t imagine how happy you would be to finally break it off with her’
You choked on your tears. The tears that had pooled in your eyes escaped, trickling down your cheeks, and dripping onto the letter. Your hand found its way to your mouth, trying to silence your sobs so that Kihyun does not hear you. Your entire body starting shaking, the shock slowly overwhelming you. You turned your back against Kihyun, not wanting him to find you crying.
How could he do this to you?
‘You stood up slowly, dropping the letter and Kihyun’s phone on the floor, and headed towards the door. Sniffling, you turned back to look at Kihyun, who was still deep in his slumber. Who knew the worst people in the world were ones that were just right beside you?
“I love you,” your voice came out as a soft whisper, before you shut the door behind you, grabbing your coat along with your valuables.
Wonho jumped off his couch, and rushed towards the door, before opening it. It revealed a very drunk-looking you, hair messy and lipstick smudged from the guy that you had made out with at the club. You smiled,
“Oh hey Wonho.”
Wonho sighed, he hated seeing you in such a vulnerable state. He had received your text that you were coming over after drinking, and since then while waiting for you to arrive, he could not help but imagine the worst case scenarios in his mind.
He stepped aside, allowing you to enter his apartment. You headed over to his living room, and plopped yourself on his couch, letting go of your hair tie and taking out your coat, revealing your tight black dress that Kihyun absolutely hated you wearing. Wonho shut the door behind you and walked to where you were, and gulped when he saw your outfit,
No, Wonho. Just because she just broke up does not mean that you can make a move a on her.
Wonho shook off all his impure thoughts and instead went to the kitchen to get a glass of water for you, since he knew that you could not handle alcohol very well. He handed the glass of water to you, and you mouthed a ‘thank you’, before downing the glass of water down in one shot.
“Sorry for the sudden visit, I just didn’t want to go home to seeing Kihyun,” you turned over to Wonho.
He shrugged, “It’s fine.”
You could tell that Wonho was still upset about the argument you two had a few days back. You felt really guilty for not believing his words, and you wanted to apologize for not trusting him,
“I’m sorry, Wonho. You were right, Kihyun is-”
“I was right wasn’t I?!” Wonho’s sudden outburst shocked you. “And you had to go back to that asshole and just, and just-”
You hugged him, silencing his words. Wonho was taken aback for a moment, but he pushed you away gently, not wanting any affection from you. You pouted, knowing that it would take more than just a hug and an apology to make Wonho forgive you.
You noticed his eyes tearing up, which tugged at your heartstrings. He was really upset by this. You placed both your hands on his face and turned his head towards you,
“I’m really sorry, Wonho.”
But still, he refused to look at you. Looks like you had to take matters into your own hands. You smashed your lips against his, clearly startling him. Your lips moved against his desperately, and soon, his lips responded to yours. Wonho tilted his head, as your hands snaked around his neck.
Wonho tasted tentatively with his tongue as he traced it across the bottom of your lip. The caress of his lips were softer than Kihyun’s could ever be. His tongue entwined with yours, creating the perfect harmony that both of you had since young. Soon, you both started swallowing each other, making the kiss even more intense. You reached to take off his shirt, when he pulled away,
“Are you sure? I don’t want to force you or anything,” he said, panting in between breaths.
“I am very sure,” you crawled over him, straddling his lap before taking off his shirt, revealing his toned body.
Wonho sat you down on his lap, and attached his lips onto your neck, sucking and biting on the sensitive skin. You felt Wonho’s member hardening beneath you, so you added more fuel to the fire by grinding down on him. When you did this, his hand gripped your neck, forcing you to look down at him,
“Don’t think about doing that, princess,” He brought his lips to your ear. “You’ll regret it.”
Those words alone were enough to make you soaked, wetness pooling in your lower half. His hands massaged your breasts as he re-attached his lips onto your neck, now more rough, leaving marks all over your neck and collarbone. You, in the meantime, started palming Wonho through his sweatpants. Your hand slipped under his sweatpants, grabbing his dick and giving it a soft squeeze, earning a groan from him.
He removed his lips from your neck, satisfied with the amount of hickeys that he had given you. You got on your knees, lifting off of Wonho’s lap to pull off his sweatpants. His already-hard dick sprung out, leaving you salivating at the sight of it. Wonho’s hand went under your dress, and started rubbing your clothed heat,
“Already wet, princess?”
His finger pushed your panties aside and entered you, causing you to let out a satisfied sigh, not having felt this sensation in a long time. He moved his middle finger around and thrusted it in and out of you slowly. Once he felt that you were not as tight anymore, he added his index finger to the mix, scissoring his fingers, reaching deeper depths within you. Your moans filled his entire apartment, not being considerate to his neighbors.
You pulled him in for another kiss again, your hand going down to stroke him slowly, spreading the precum all over his tip. His thumb stimulated your clit, working together with his fingers, making you moan into the kiss. You felt the knot in your stomach tightening, which meant that you were close to cumming. You had clenched around Wonho’s fingers, which also alerted him that you were close. He pulled his lips away,
“Come for me, princess.”
Those four words had you coming undone, your juices spilling all over his fingers and his cock, your legs shaking beneath you. Wonho brought his fingers up to his lips and licked them clean, maintaining eye contact with you the entire time. His hand reached into the drawer of the small table beside the couch, pulling out a condom.
He ripped open the packaging with his mouth, and put on the condom. He placed his member at your entrance, lightly teasing you with his tip, making you let out a small whine,
“D-Don’t tease me.”
His hand laid a hard smack on your ass, “Don’t tease me what?”
“Daddy..” You buried your face in his neck.
He held onto your ass cheeks and lowered you down onto his cock. He groaned, feeling how tight you were around his cock. You arched your back at this new feeling, but definitely not hating it. You nodded, letting Wonho know that it was okay for him to start moving. He lowered you down more until his dick was buried deep inside of you, letting out a long sigh.
You started bouncing up and down, hands resting on Wonho’s shoulders, while his rested on your waist. Your breasts bounced along with you, giving Wonho the most beautiful sight he had been waiting for his entire life. Your moans mixed with his, creating a beautiful harmony that the neighbors surely enjoyed.
Soon, you felt fire pooling low in your abdomen. You started clenching around Wonho, which made him thrust up sloppily into you, also reaching his limit. Wonho’s hand started rubbing your clit, in an effort to help you reach your second orgasm.
You were soon coming all around his cock, the orgasm leaving you shaking. Wonho soon came as well, filling the condom up with his hot seed. You fell forward onto his chest, heaving from exhaustion. Wonho wrapped his arms around your figure, pulling you closer towards him,
“I love you, Y/N. I’ve loved you for a long time now actually.”
You sat up straight, “Me too. I got together with Kihyun in hopes of forgetting about my crush on you.”
Wonho chuckled, before giving you a peck on your lips.
All along, it was Wonho who you could trust and lean on.

(Dreamswap) What friends are for (2)
Okay, enough Durarara posts, have more story.
Previous
(Cross's alarm goes off, playing a Disney song much louder than necessary. The three of them shift in their positions, which somehow became a tangled mess over the course of the night, all of them cringing slightly.)
Nightmare: Cross, what the hell is that…
(Cross slams his hand on the nearby table his phone is on. He slams various places until he finds his phone.)
(But his hand is asleep, so when he tries to pick it up, it falls out of his grip and onto the floor.)
Cross: aaagghhhh
Nightmare: What are you doing, turn that stupid thing off…!
Cross: where is ittttt
(Cross flops over the side of the bed, crushing Nightmare under him as he searches the floor next to the bed.)
Nightmare: oW
Cross: okay I found it
(He picks up the phone with his other hand and struggles a bit to turn it off. Finally, he succeeds and places the phone back on the table, and slumps even more of his weight into Nightmare.)
Nightmare: get OFFFF
Cross: too early… too much physical exertion…
Nightmare: Why the heck did you even set an alarm?!
Cross: it makes me feel like a productive being…
Cross: also I'm trying to fix my sleeping schedule…
(Cross sits up, scratching his face. He yawns.)
Cross: Oh right, Error's here…
Error: Here and suffering internally.
Error: How freaking loud did you set the volume on that alarm?
Cross: It was an accident okay…
Cross: I turned off the volume and turned it back up higher than I realized…
(Everyone just kinda sits there for a little while.)
Nightmare: Whose turn is it to make breakfast…
Error: I think it's yours.
Nightmare: dammit…
(Nightmare sits up and gets off the bed. He stretches his arms above his head, everything cracking loudly in the process. He then groggily exits the room, part of him colliding with the wall in the process.)
Nightmare: ow… my shoulder…
(He walks out, leaving Cross and Error alone in the room.)
Cross: … so… what exactly was all that about?
Error: It was Nightmare's idea.
Cross: … but really?
Error: Simultaneous unpleasant dreams.
Error: I, um… have been having a lot of those lately. Nightmare happened to wake up in the middle of the night and… sensed it or whatever.
Cross: So neither of you wanted to be alone?
Cross: You guys are so childish.
(Error raises a brow.)
Error: And this is coming from you of all people?
Cross: I never denied my own childishness, mind you.
(Error sighs.)
Error: … welp, I'm getting up.
(He throws his arms forward to sit himself up and gets off the bed.)
Error: Thanks for being a bro.
(Cross snickers.)
Cross: What?
(Error leaves the room.)
(He enters the bathroom. He stops for a moment, looking at himself in the mirror.)
(Glitches are hopping over him as normal, the occasional 'error' jumping out with them.)
(Error furrows his brow, opening up the mirror cupboard to get the toothpaste out and not closing it again.)
(As he tries to think happier thoughts while washing up, his mind eventually wanders back to Blue…)
(He feels sick for a moment.)
(No, no, no. Think about something else.)
(Remember that time when you were playing Super Smash Bros with Nightmare the other day and KOed him in slow motion? Good times, right?)
(Or that post you saw on Tumblr yesterday about the slowly approaching bear.)
(Blueberry knows something you don't. He always has.)
(Error shakes his head. He wants those thoughts OUT.)
(No, no, no! Don't panic, not now! It's too early for this!)
(Error mentally schedules a trip to Outertale to as soon as possible.)
(Wait, but what if Blue finds you? What if Blue talks to you? W-what if--)
(Error almost angrily spits into the sink.)
(Stop.)
(Don't worry anyone anymore.)
(… Dealing with personal problems by yourself is difficult when one of your roommates can sense how you feel.)
(Nightmare walks by the door outside, briefly glancing at it, before shaking his head and heading downstairs.)
(This is insufferable.)
(Error realizes he can't handle this. He needs to get rid of this problem as quickly as possible. There is no way he can just LIVE with this sort of frequent mental turmoil.)
(There's a cause. There's a cause and he knows it. A trail that leads straight back to his old friend.)
(If he could even be called that.)
(His thoughts scream no. Blue is someone he'd always wanted to stay far away from. In fact, he isn't just afraid of Blue, but quite dislikes him… more than he realized… what for? Error can't really tell.)
(Answers. Get answers. Stop hiding, and get to the root of the problem.)
(Let's do this Nightmare style.)
(Error exits the bathroom a bit more dramatically than necessary and makes his way back to his room.)
(Error goes downstairs after he's dressed and enters the kitchen to see Nightmare staring into the fridge, still in his pajamas.)
Nightmare: Error, what the heck do I make for breakfast?
Error: I dunno.
Nightmare: Not helpful.
(Cross peeks in as Error sits down on the couch in the living room.)
Cross: Make strawberry Nutella french toast.
Nightmare: We don't have strawberries.
(He opens a nearby cupboard.)
Nightmare: Or Nutella.
Nightmare: Because you ate it all.
(Cross sits down at the table, doing something on his phone. Meanwhile, Error is reading on the couch.)
Cross: Don't we have extra in the storage pantry?
Nightmare: That was the one we just ran out of.
Cross: Then just make regular french toast.
Nightmare: … sure, whatever.
(He pulls out the skillet.)
Nightmare: What the frick? Where are all the spatulas?
Error: Dishwasher.
Nightmare: Cross. I have an assignment for you. Wash one while I'm mixing the stuff up.
Cross: Dammit.
Cross: Why not Error?
(Nightmare turns around and gives Cross a look.)
Cross: All right, whatever, fine.
(Some shindigs later…)
(After breakfast, Error stands up and quickly takes care of his dishes, afterwards he runs to the door and slips his shoes on.)
Cross: What's the hurry? Where're you going?
Error: Just on a walk.
Nightmare: Don't get arrested.
(Error puts his hood up.)
Error: Thug mode engaged.
(He walks out the door, closes it behind him and makes a portal to Outertale.)
Cross: What's the deal with him…
Cross: Wait, why did he go outside if he can just make portals wherever?
Nightmare: I dunno, there's always something nice about literally walking out the door to get somewhere.
Nightmare: Or he didn't want us to know where he went. But personally, I think it's pretty obvious.
Cross: Outertale?
Cross: Is he still not feeling okay?
Cross: He only goes there when he's stressed…
Nightmare: He might have other plans.
Cross: …?
(…)
Error: (All right… This is gonna suck if he's not here…)
Error: (This particular timeline… this was it, right?)
(His heart is thumping in his chest. He's not really sure if he's mentally prepared to just… TALK to Blue…)
(Last time they saw each other, Error actually kind of attacked him.)
(Suddenly, he realizes that Blue might try to sneak up on him, and he becomes about nineteen times more tense.)
Error: (No, keep it together. Nothing bad is going to happen. Why would anything bad happen?)
Error: (… this is starting to sound manic.)
(He walks over to a ledge and gazes out into space.)
(… This one is prettier than the one he usually visits now. Too bad it's Blue domain.)
(The view is still familiar. He recalls something…)
(Was this the spot…?)
(The spot where Blue taught him how to knit?)
(No way. How could this of all places be it?)
Error: (Wait, there was a rock. And Blue carved something into it, didn't he?)
(Error looks down. Sure enough, there is a fairly large rock stuck in the space dirt. Error crouches down and inspects it carefully. Engraved on a certain part of it are two little faces, one with glasses…)
Error: … wow…
(But suddenly, something else hits his attention. There is… something there that wasn't before…)
(There seems to be some chalk drawn on it as well. An arrow is pointing to the drawing of Error, and he follows it back to see the words… 'always mine'.)
(Error stands up abruptly, taking a few steps back.)
Error: (Whoa. Whoa. What.)
Error: (Haha, uh, I must be imagining things.)
Error: (Why would that be…)
???: Error?
(He jumps in place, immediately recognizing the voice.)
Error: (You got yourself into this… face it.)
(Error turns around and faces the blue-scarfed skeleton behind him.)
Blue: I wasn't expecting to see you here…
(Error stays quiet.)
(Maybe he should have rehearsed a few scenarios first…)
Blue: Is everything okay, Error?
Blue: I mean, you must have come looking for me, am I right? That's really saying something.
(There isn't much concern in his voice as he speaks with a smile on his face. He sounds more… curious.)
(Error takes a deep breath.)
Error: Blue, there's… something we need to talk about.
Blue: There is?
(Blue takes a step forward, and Error's leg twitches as he resists his natural urge to step back.)
Error: You never told me anything, and it's making me crazy.
Blue: Why, what do you mean?
(Blue takes another step forward.)
Error: You… you know something I don't!
Error: It's making me sick, I can't live like this anymore!
Blue: Error… don't you know that some things are better off not said?
(Blue continues to move forward.)
Error: S…stop doing that, you don't need to come closer! This is reasonable talking distance!
Blue: Maybe there is something I know…
Blue: But I know lots of things, Error.
Blue: I know you have lots of traumatic memories, and I've never wanted to do anything but help you.
Error: That's a lie. You… toyed with me. That's all you ever do.
Blue: There's a lot going on in your head…
Blue: But only so much of it is true.
(Error takes a step back.)
Blue: There it is, Error…
Blue: You believe I want to hurt you.
Blue: I would never do that.
Error: T-Tell me already!
Error: What happened before I was trapped in the void?!
Error: You know, don't you?!
Blue: Oh, goodness. You have awfully high expectations.
Blue: That was a very long time ago, Error… And you know I met you after you already got out.
Blue: Have you ever just considered… letting it go and being who you are now?
Error: This isn't about remembering who I was! This is about stopping the damn panic attacks and traumatic dreams!
Error: They aren't going to go away until… Until I…
Error: …
Blue: Until you what?
Error: … stop being afraid of you.
Blue: What? Error, you have no reason to be afraid of me.
(Blue lifts up a hand to Error's cheek, who flinches and recoils slightly.)
Blue: I'm not going to hurt you. I promise.
(… Blue's promises are usually rather hollow.)
Error: E-Even so--
(Error's glitching speeds up.)
Blue: It's okay. Here, let's sit down.
(He takes Error's shaking hand sits down at the ledge with him.)
Blue: You remember this place, don't you?
Error: … Y-yeah.
Blue: I want you to remember how you felt in that moment.
Error: …
Error: … frustrated.
Blue: I was teaching you how to knit.
Blue: You were having a really hard time, weren't you?
(He laughs.)
Blue: But you figured it out.
Blue: You're wearing the scarf you made right now, aren't you?
Error: … I've made a lot of scarves since then.
Error: But… yes.
Blue: There's the evidence, Error. The evidence that you don't want to forget about me.
Error: W-what?
(He immediately recalls the words he heard in the dream he had.)
(You want to forget me, Error. But we both know that will never happen.)
Blue: I don't want to forget about you either, Error.
Blue: …
(They sit there, gazing out into space.)
Blue: … Error…
Blue: Whatever I did…
Blue: I want you to know that I'm sorry.
(Error's brow furrows in confusion.)
Error: …
Error: … No…
Error: No, you're not.
Blue: Error--
Error: It happens again and again. It doesn't matter what you say.
(He lifts up one of his legs from the ledge and stands again.)
Error: You're just trying to mess with me again, trying to take advantage of the circumstances just to lead me back into this sense of security--
(He's slowly moving away, but Blue gets up and grabs his arm.)
Blue: No! You're wrong!
Error: L-Let go of me--
(Error is beginning to glitch again. He opens a portal as error signs start filling his eyes.)
Blue: Error! Don't run away!
Blue: You were trying to fix things, remember?!
Blue: WE were trying to fix things!
(As Error tries backing away, Blue grabs his coat with his other hand. Error starts trying to pry Blue's hands off him. He's pretty much unable to see by now.)
Error: LET GO OF ME!!
Blue: DON'T LEAVE! PLEASE!!
(Error stops.)
Error: … what?
(They stand there for a moment, both breathing quickly.)
Blue: …
Blue: I… I guess there's no use pretending anymore… right?
Blue: Error… I don't want to be alone anymore…
Blue: You left and have new friends now.
Blue: But… you were all I really had…
Blue: It was all a game to me, but then it started hurting.
Blue: I don't want you to hate me anymore!
Blue: So please… don't think it's just you.
Error: …
Error: I'm sorry.
Error: I can't trust you.
(He summons a blaster above their heads and aims it at Blue.)
Error: Let go of me.
Blue: Error, this isn't right.
Blue: Your problems won't stop and neither will mine.
(He lets go of Error, who backs into the portal.)
Blue: … come back when you're ready to handle this right.
(The portal closes.)
(Error stands there, his breath heavy, and his vision slowly returning to him.)
(He buries his face in his hands.)

I Have Questions
Pairing: Jungkook | Reader Word Count: 1.352 Genre: Angst
A/N: This is a short scenario I have quickly written. I got highly inspired by I Have Questions by Camila Cabello, and as soon as I heard that song I put it on replay and wrote this. I finish my final exams next week and I have a couple of scenarios already planned, so yeah… Wish me good luck haha. Hope you like this, I know is short and not the best thing ever but I had to write it :)
//
“Jungkook,
I have questions for you.
Number 1: Do you even remember me? It’s been a long time now since you left. Four? Five? Ten years? I’m sure it has been more than ten years, but I still feel you by my side as if it was just yesterday.
Number 2: Do you remember how we met? Do you remember how our hands touched for the first time when we both were trying to reach that book in the top shelf of the small library in your neighbourhood? Do you remember the title of the book? Because I don’t. But I do remember the feeling of your skin against mine and how your cheeks reddened as you grabbed the book and handed it to me. Do you remember your first words? "That’s the last one, but you can have it.” Do you remember mine? “I can lend it to you when I finish it.” Do you remember my reddened cheeks? Or that spark in my eyes you always told me was the one that made you fall for me? I had never been that bold in my life, and yet, your shy eyes, your bunny-like smile and the little mole under your lower lip, gave me the courage to openly flirt with you. I always hated those cliché love stories, but ours, definitely started like one.
Number 3: Do you remember our first date? I gave you the book I had already read, just in a week so I could see you earlier. Do you remember the smell of freshly made coffee? The smell of carrot cake and cinnamon? I do. I remember every small detail of that evening. From the name of the little cafeteria: “Cinnamon Hut”, to the leather chairs and the vintage posters on the wall. I arrived late, but you told me you didn’t mind. We spoke for hours and I remember everything about that too. From the first “Hello” to the last “Would you give me your phone?” Do you remember how my hands were trembling when I handed you my phone?
Number 4: Do you remember our second date? And our third? And our twentieth? Do you remember those marathons we did about Marvel movies? Or those times we played Overwatch? I always lost because you never let me won, not even once, you were always so competitive…
Number 5: Do you remember how we fell in love? Fast and hard. It was difficult. You were an idol, you barely had free time and the little you had, you spent it with me. Do you remember all the jokes? How we pranked each other? Do you remember the spontaneous dates in the park, at night, under the stars and the moon? Do you know I always caught you when you were looking at me instead of the stars? You didn’t even pretend you were looking at the sky, your face fully facing mine. Pretending was never your thing, maybe that’s why you left.
Number 6: Do you remember how you loved to caress my back with your fingers each morning? Your fingers slowly tracing patterns all over my skin, your fingertips connecting my little moles, following the path the sun that slipped through the window left you. Do you remember how you made love to me after that? The sun still caressing our bodies, as if it was a third lover. You always loved the sun and I always loved the moon. Do you remember how much you loved it when I peppered kisses on top of that little mole under your lip? Or how I played with your hair when you were tired to get you to sleep? Do you remember how, even thought you were the singer in the relationship, I was the one to sing you to sleep when you needed it? I remember how you asked me: “Y/N, sing to me.” How you placed your head on my chest and grabbed my hand to place it on top of your head, so I would caress you. As soon as the first words of the song slipped past my lips, you felt asleep with your lips parted and your arms strongly circling my waist.
Number 7: Do you remember the arguments? I do. I remember the first, and the last, but I barely remember the rest. The first time, you had just arrived from a tour. It was late, you were tired, and yet, you were willing to show me your love for me. But what started as a beautiful rendevouz ended like an awful argument, tears staining both our cheeks, ugly words being exchanged, things being thrown all over the place… We were so passionate about everything, not just about falling in love, making love or laughing until our stomachs hurt. We argued with passion, with force. What was our last argument about? Oh, yeah, I was mad you forgot about our four year anniversary. I had been waiting for you at the restaurant for two hours when I desisted. When I arrived home, you were fast asleep, and I was so mad I grabbed a glass of water from the kitchen and threw it all over your face. It wouldn’t be our last argument, but since then we argued so much that I don’t even count them as arguments.
Number 8: Do you remember how fast your always beautiful words towards me turned into harsh words? We were so mean to each other. Now the love was replaced by the intention of ripping each other’s hearts. Do you remember how we slammed the front door of our apartment each time one of us left? Do you remember how the other stayed crying? Do you remember how you started sleeping in the sofa? We wasted our love, and you couldn't pretend you hadn't run out of it. Again, pretending was never your thing.
Number 9: Do you remember when you left? You left. Leaving me, the apartment and all of our plans for the future behind with a simple note stuck to the fridge. It was a simple, yellow post-it, and it still was that little piece of paper the one that shattered my heart into a million pieces. You disappeared. But not from my mind, or the news, or the social media. You disappeared from my life without saying a word. Was I and our five year relationship worth the value of a small post-it?
Number 10: Do you remember the last time we saw each other? Probably yes, because it was just a month ago. Or probably not, because you don’t even think about me anymore, not like I think about you. You don’t remember me, or the first time we saw each other, kissed each other, made love to each other, because you don’t think about me or any of those things anymore. Do you remember how I stopped when my eyes landed on yours? How you kept walking after looking at the floor?
You forgot about me, Jeon Jungkook. You tried forgetting about me and you did it, you forgot me. I could see the surprise in your eyes and I saw that it took you a couple of minutes to recognize me.
Number 11: How did you do it? How did you achieve forgetting about me? Tell me, because I want to forget about you too. I want to forget about that time we met. About our first date, and our second and our twentieth. I want to forget about those Marvel movies marathons, about those nights playing Overwatch. I want to forget about how we fell in love, hard and fast. I want to forget the feeling of your hands caressing my back after making love to me on a lazy Sunday morning, I want to forget the warmth of the sun and your fingertips. About our arguments and your harsh words. About the time you left and the yellow post-it that’s still stuck to the fridge. I want to forget about it all.
But I can’t. And here comes my last question.
Number 12: Do you wanna know why I can’t forget you? Because now I love the sun instead of the moon.“

The Future/(is now)
I can’t believe this is something I saw with my own two eyeballs, because apparently all that’s happened so far wasn’t coincidence, or carelessness - apparently Dabb watched Season 8 and made a deliberate bet with someone - he’d make it gayer, or else. And so here it is, (almost) out of the subtext (Sorry, Dean and You can't just go dark like that. We didn't know what happened to you. We were worried. That's not okay and I needed to come back here with a win for you and We're just better together and I'd like that and THE TAAAAAAAPE). Honest to God, I think I read twenty versions of that fight yesterday as people scrambled to write pre-codas out of nerves and excitement, and they were all magnificent and yet, somehow, less shippy and less obvious and less romantic than what actually happened on the show, wtf? And Dean sulking in his room, Cas knocking at his door, hesitating, coming in?
I swear to God - when Dean called him back, when he started telling Cas all those things - for a second, I actually believed he would yank on Cas’ tie and kiss him, because that’s always, always what happens in that scenario. Or, you know, Dean gets overwhelmed by his own feelings, by how much he’s just showed his hand here, and walks away. That’s also textbook fanfiction, and yeah, so it’s fluff instead of angst, but, come on - this is Supernatural - did anyone doubt it’d be angsty? Let’s just hope in a happy ending, because that Kelly voiceover (I love you. But we won't ever be together. There is no happy ending for either of us.) gave me the creeps.
And what about the mind control, someone might argue. Mind control, schmind control. That’s like, the number one Prove that you love me forever and ever trope, and even if we’ve seen it before (if simply because Destiel has been built with every single love trope in the book, and, in this case, they used it over and over and over again), we’ve never seen its final form. During the crypt scene, Cas deflected instead of admitting the obvious (let’s be generous: maybe he didn’t know himself), and in the Bunker, Dean just barely managed not to kill Cas, and had to walk away before the Mark overpowered him, so no, that was not a good time either. So this thing we’ve been promised for a while - this My love for you is stronger than time or tide or evil curse - is yet to come, and with the way things are going, I’m feeling pretty optimistic.
Also: however Dean will read this when he wakes up, Cas is choosing love, and he’s choosing free will. He went to Heaven hoping they’d have a way out of this mess so that Sam and Dean would be safe, he stole the Colt so they couldn’t face Dagon and be hurt (which is text, by the way, not subtext), he went against orders because he felt that was the right thing to do (a human feeling, because angels are created for a mission), he stayed away from Sam and Dean to protect them - all of that is unangelic behaviour, and man, Dean and Cas are going to get into so many fights, aren’t they, because Cas learned how to love from Dean, and that means he’s got that same kind of stubborn, maternal, overbearing way to love Dean has, which means lots of I didn’t tell you because I love you and I walked away because I love you and I booped you to sleep because I love you and I really hope Sam’s going to stay out of the way, because there will be a lot of storming through corridors and huffing and outrage and Can you believe that bastard and it will be absolutely glorious.
As for the rest of it - though, to be perfectly honest, I barely noticed a ‘rest of it’ because my eyeballs were glued to the unbelievable Gay Feelfest unfolding in front of me - I’m really happy with it. I’m happy we’re finally talking Big Things again - Could either of you kill an innocent, do our parents determine our destiny, is there such a thing as innate character, and so on - and I’m happy with the insight we were given both in Kelly’s and in Dagon’s minds, and why they do what they do. I loved every scene Cas and Kelly had together, that kind of, We’re not heroes, and we may be worthless, but we’re what’s left vibe, and Cas’ smile when the baby was kicking, and I like where they’re going, how they’ll try to get this pregnancy to term. Sure, this baby’s got a lot against him - he’s Lucifer’s kid (although, we still don’t know who and what Lucifer was before he was forced to carry the Mark), and one of his temper tantrums could possibly destroy the Earth, but, then again, so could a lot of other things - he’s not special (to quote a famous tumblr post). And if we’re going with free will and self-determination of our own destiny, then we should have the courage not to nitpick: everyone should be able to decide for themselves, and this baby is no exception.
(I mean, think about it. He’s clearly able to give anyone extraordinary powers - he gave Cas enough ammo to take down a bloody Prince of Hell - so he could have chosen anyone as his protector. He could have picked Dagon, he could have stuck with Kelly, he could have chosen any lesser demon or angel or random doctor they’ve been in contact with over the last few weeks - and yet he chose Cas, and Cas - as we’ve known for a while - is the curiosity, the abomination, the miracle: the angel who can love. No, I want to believe we’re headed towards good things here - narratively or otherwise.)
Final point: again, I know it’s not ideal to carry around a nuclear warhead in your belly, but the beginning of this episode gave me heavy The Handmaiden’s flashbacks (superb show, by the way, go watch it), so the fact they’re giving Kelly some kind of choice - that’s uplifting. Because yeah, maybe she’s slightly brainwashed, but this isn’t like any kind of brainwash I’ve ever seen on the show, because both Kelly and Cas are also lucid, completely themselves. They resemble most closely what Dean was like when he lost his memories, and I think now I’m going to go and cry forever at the implications. But hey, at least Cas’ got his own room at the Bunker and Yes, dumbass - we.

Things We Don’t Say 2
< Previous
Read it on A03, FF or WattPad
“Evening, Plagg,” Adrien’s quiet voice floated through the silence of his mostly dark living room, waking up a black grumpy kitten, happily nestled in a posh comfy bed beside the couch. Plagg lazily yawned and opened one eye. Through the haze of sleepiness, he noticed his so called owner to enter the room and head to the kitchen throwing him a quick greeting. The cat yawned again and turned around getting into a more comfortable position for sleep. That foolish adult didn’t bring Marinette with him again so there was really no point in waking up.
"What could have happened for them to call me forty times?" Adrien's voice was heard again. Plagg frowned and squished his eyes tighter. Who does he think he is to show up so late and interrupt his nap? And without his Marinette?
“What?” sounded loudly from the kitchen. “This can’t be real.”
Plagg buried himself even further into the plush goodness of his bedding and tried to keep himself from exploding. Happy thoughts, he thought, just think happy thoughts. Think about Camembert. No, that was getting old. Marinette! Yes, think about his real human, not that fraud of an owner to whom he was mistakenly handed over. Marinette was the one who found him in that horrible, overcrowded place with no real, delicious food on premises. Marinette was the first one who looked at him and called him adorable. She was the one whose blue eyes sparkled when he stared at her with his green, glowing ones from a corner of a cage. She was the one who reached out and lifted him up, who cradled him in her warm, soft arms, whose touch he still remembered to that day. His kind, beautiful Marinette with the most gorgeous voice in the whole wide world was the one who took him home that same day and let him cuddle with her and Tikki in her soft and warm bed all night long.
Plagg was so happy there; he was loved, safe and comfortable. It was even better than a heaven on Earth… until he showed up. Adrien Agreste. What Marinette saw in this mangy alley human, Plagg didn’t know and why she thought that Plagg wanted to live in his empty, cold, Marinette-less apartment he couldn’t comprehend but here he was – stuck with that human he was still refusing to call his own leading a lonely existence, waiting for the day she would visit him again. She did come from time to time but it wasn’t enough, Plagg wanted to see her all the time. He wanted to live with her. He wanted to be hers! But fate decided otherwise, Plagg growled. He wasn’t grumpy as Adrien was saying, he was just wronged by that thing called fate. At least that boy had the decency to occasionally sneak him pieces of Camembert, the kitten sighed satisfactorily, even if it was on rare occasions and Plagg had to beg or steal it every time. He didn't get his Marinette but he did have his Camembert.
“I forgot my phone at home, father,” he heard Adrien’s voice again as the latter reentered the room and stopping by the window leaned on it looking outside. “No need to make up a lame joke to get my attention. I would’ve called you anyway once…”
All sounds suddenly stopped. Plagg opened one eye again to see what happened. Adrien continued to stay by the window but he straightened up suddenly and frowned.
“What do you mean it’s not a joke?” he said into that thing he was holding near his ear. Plagg scrunched his nose. These humans are strange, talking either to themselves or in those small boxes all the time. Marinette was normal. She talked to him or Tikki or even that Adrien directly.
“Father, we live in the 21st century,” Adrien said again after a short pause. “I’m not entering into an arranged marriage-“ his voiced stopped again.
“I don’t care about their traditions or whatever else.”
Plagg opened both of his eyes because this time this human he lived with sounded actually angry.
“Father-“ Adrien tried to say something again but stopped.
“Father, I am repea-“ his voice grew more and more frustrated.
“Father!” Adrien actually shouted. “I can’t! Ok?! Just can’t!”
“What do you mean why?” he asked a moment later. If the saying Plagg heard about steam coming out of one’s ears are true, this was the closest he ever saw to it.
“Because I am already engaged!” The words slipped Adrien’s lips after a short pause, unexpectedly, it seemed, even to him. He momentarily bit his lip, closed his eyes and held his breath, the rising tension of his body even Plagg was able to sense. The kitten rose up from his nap and curiously looked at the blond man in front of him. “I can’t marry Chloe because I am already engaged, father. Is that a good enough reason for you?” Adrien seethed through his teeth into that thing he continued to hold close to his ear. Plagg cocked his head to one side and continued to observe. Finally, something interesting was happening. Serves him right for taking him away from his Marinette and rarely letting her come over.
“You didn’t know because I just proposed today,” Adrien said in a little more relaxed manner. “Yes, just a few hours ago. Of course, I can,” he added after a short pause. “Sunday at 6 we’ll be there. Don’t worry. Goodnight, father,” he sighed into the thing and after poking it with his finger stared at it before throwing it across the room and practically dropping onto a couch.
“Sh*t,” he whispered and hugged his head, staring at the floor. Plagg slowly stretched and lazily walked over. He needed to see it closer. The pain on this pitiful human’s face.
“Where am I going to find a fiancée in one day, Plagg?” Adrien asked quietly after the kitten settled in his eyesight. “Any ideas?”
“Meow,” Plagg responded indifferently and continued to watch Adrien. What was a fiancée anyway? All he needed to feel better was Camembert and Marinette.
“Ok.” The blond rapidly stood and started pacing the room. “Think, Adrien, think. If you were to marry right now you would certainly want it to be Mari but—“ he paused sighing heavily, “—she’ll say no for sure. Not looking for a relationship right now… Unless!” Adrien suddenly stopped, a wide grin spreading on his lips, eyes starting to sparkle. “Yes! Plagg!” he picked up the kitten and hugged him tight and close to much of Plagg’s disgust. “Marinette is my friend, Plagg,” Adrien mumbled. “Best friend! She’ll agree to help me out and play a fake fiancée for me, right? We’d known each other for a long time so there is no need to think of a getting-together story. We already have one. Plus, Marinette won’t be weirded out if we needed to show affection or move in together since we’re already so close and see each other often.” Plagg almost growled as Adrien’s words were slowly settling in his mind. You little traitor! If you see my Marinette so often why is she rarely here?
"I'll ask her tomorrow evening, Plagg." Adrien hissed a little and almost dropped the kitten back to the floor. Plagg digging his claws into his hand might have had something to do with that. "I'll prepare a romantic dinner and ask her tomorrow. She'll say yes for sure. Fake isn't real so she'll agree. Mari is my friend and that's what friends are for, right?" he glanced at the grumpy kitten again. "Friends help each other, Plagg, not use them as a scratch post for no reason."
The kitten completely ignored him, licking his paws.
“The ring!” Adrien suddenly exclaimed. “I’ll need a ring!” he repeated and sat on the couch. “Yes, the most gorgeous ring for Mari.”
For the next few minutes, Plagg in confusion observed his traitorous human sit, pace and even lie on the floor all while mumbling something under his breath. Most of it Plagg didn't even understand but what he did was a little promising yet slightly weird at the same time. According to Adrien, Marinette might come to live with them (that would have been great, actually), he, Adrien, would behave his best and extra attentive and Marinette, his, Plagg’s Marinette, would assumedly fall in love with him (Ha! Plagg would like to see that happening. Everyone knew Marinette called him cute and adorable, not that overgrown, bony human with a blond mop on his head). Lastly, Adrien was going on and on how this was a standard scenario in all romcoms (what’s that and what do you eat it with?) and fanfiction. Apparently something fake leads to something really real and he finally had a chance.
Plagg yawned. The human he was stuck with was even weirder than he thought. He slowly walked to his bowl and drank some water. Almost crawling back to his bed the kitten noticed that Adrien was already gone. Probably went to his own bed, Plagg thought and plopped onto his pillow. That’s good, he closed his eyes and settled for the night. I really need a nap and all that freaking out keeps me awake.
* * *
“Wake up! Wake up! Wake up, Marinette!!!” Alya’s hyper voice screamed at her as soon as the girl picked up mercilessly vibrating for the last ten minutes cellphone. “You have to wake up, girl! I have amazing news for you! Huge news! Out of this world news! Wake up!”
“Ok, ok, I am up,” Marinette groaned into the device. She glanced at the clock and groaned even louder. What must have happened for Alya to call her at 7 a.m. on Saturday and not quit after the first 15 calls she didn't pick up?
“Guess who got engaged yesterday, girl???”
Marinette sat up. “No way! You said he was going to wait for his birthday next week?”
“That’s what I thought!” Alya squealed. “And Nino knew I thought that so he decided to surprise me before!”
“Did it work?” Marinette grinned into the cell. Who cares if Alya couldn’t see her? She was happy for her friend and that wonderful news deserved her widest smile.
“Would I be calling you at 7am and scream if it didn’t?” Alya almost yelled back in excitement. “That was so amazing, Marinette!”
“I am so happy for you!” Marinette’s smile grew even wider.
“You are grinning to yourself, aren’t you?”
“I might be but only because I am super extremely happy for you Alya.”
“I still can’t believe it myself, Mari,” her friend’s voice finally started to calm down only to explode again. “But enough about me, my friend! You have to get ready, girl! I am picking you up in an hour cause we have to celebrate!”
“What have you planned?” Marinette crawled out of the bed and walked into her bathroom. If Alya said in an hour it was pointless to argue. Better start preparing now or risk being pushed out of the door later in all of her PJ’s, make-up-less glory.
“Only the best girl’s day out! All the deets later! See you in an hour! Bye, honey!”
“Bye, Alya.” Marinette turned her phone off and splashed some cold water on her face. Quickly finishing her morning routine, the girl headed for her kitchen and froze in her steps as soon as she stepped over the threshold. Oh. Marinette might have forgotten a few details of the previous night. Her still destroyed kitchen quickly reminded her of all the details, including Adrien’s confession about his love life. Marinette sat down in a chair and sighed. And to think that she’d hoped that she actually had a chance.
When Marinette was fifteen she met a boy. She didn’t like him at first but pretty soon he gave her his umbrella to save her from the rain. In exchange, she gave him her heart. Time flew by fast, years passed but he never paid any special attention to her apart from friendly affections. Marinette wanted to confess her feelings at first but that damned stutter and nervousness made that impossible so she gave up for the time being. When she finally grew up and got over it, she didn’t confess for a completely different reason.
You see, the more she found out about Adrien Agreste, the closer their friendship became, the more incompetent she felt to be by his side. To her he was always this incredibly silly dork with a kind, generous and loving heart; a little lonely and neglected by his family but adored and loved by his friends. Yet to the public he was this famous, rich and extremely handsome boy who excelled in everything he did with ease. Who was she to stand by his side if he were to accept her feelings? Who was Marinette Dupain-Cheng, she asked herself one day. The answer wasn’t as nearly satisfying as she’d liked and so she made a plan. Marinette would study, she would get a prestigious job and make a name for herself. And then and only then, if she was interested in Adrien and he was single, she’d try her luck.
The time was finally here, Marinette thought. She’d actually planned to do it soon. That was the reason she was brave enough to finally probe into his love life to see if there was even a point. The bad news – there wasn’t. Adrien admitted it himself yesterday – he was in love with someone unavailable to him for quite some time. That couldn’t be her. She was single all those years, heading to her goal headfirst, never giving a chance to any other man coming her way. Why bother if she knew it wouldn't work out at the end? Her heart belonged to Adrien. The good news, though, Marinette now had her answer and, maybe, that would help her to finally shift her focus onto someone else and move on. Maybe…
“Morning, Tikki.” Marinette petted her excited puppy when that greeted her with a few barks, already holding her leash in her mouth. “Want to go for a walk before I leave for the day?”
“Woof!” Tikki barked and wagged her tail.
“Let’s go then, “Marinette stood up and put the leash on the ever-moving puppy. “Fresh air should do us both good, right?” Marinette sighed and put her sandals on. "I need to clear my head as well. Should've cleared it a long time ago rather than pine after someone who had never seen me as more than a friend anyway."
Throwing a quick glance at the ruins of her kitchen the girl closed the door behind her. The mess that her life had become including that kitchen would need to be dealt with later, as soon as possible but later. Now, she had a friend to take care of.
“Race you to the park,” she called to her puppy and sprinted ahead. To a better, happier future.

“Unbelievable.” Alya’s eyebrows crept up. “Not only you are on time but also already waiting for me downstairs?” She couldn’t believe her eyes. Marinette was never on time on such short notice and she definitely never waited for her at the front door of her apartment building instead of the coziness of her own space. "Is everything alright, Marinette?” Alya frowned. Only something out of the ordinary could explain such unusual behavior.
“My kitchen is a real mess today,” Marinette explained. “So I escaped before my perfectionist side would make me clean it. That’s the only reason,” she lied and grinned wide. The last thing Marinette wanted to explain right now was the real cause of her kitchen’s ruins because it would inevitably lead to mentioning Adrien and that was the last thing she needed right now. She didn’t want to give away her miserable, heartbroken state and ruin this day for Alya. Today was her best friend’s day to celebrate her engagement. Today Marinette needed to be happy for Alya and not let her heart remind her that she might never get engaged or get married herself because Adrien loved someone else, someone who wasn’t her. I’ll meet another guy some day, she kept reasoning with herself all morning. The world wasn’t ending with Adrien being in love not with her, her mind said. You are doomed to be alone till your last breath, her heart screamed.
“So what’s the plan?” Marinette asked cheerfully before Alya could voice her obvious concerns. All those years later she was still unable to hide her feelings, always wearing them on her face for everyone to see. “I am so, so excited for you,” Marinette added sincerely this time, pulling Alya in for a tight hug. She really was very happy for both Alya and Nino.
“We’ll talk about the real reason you are upset later,” Alya narrowed her eyes pulling back. “So don’t think you are off the hook, mademoiselle. And only cause I know we’ll be late for our first appointment if I were to spend the next hour pulling the bits and pieces out of your stubborn mouth.”
“So where are we going?” Marinette cocked her head to the side, ignoring everything her friend had just said.
“To the salon,” Alya announced with a smile. “We are having the most magnificent and amazing spa date today, girl. Massages, manicure, pedicures, hairdos, the whole package! Courtesy of moi, chèrie.”
“Oh, wow!” Marinette gasped playfully. “Going all out today?”
“Of course, chèrie!” Alya smirked. “In exchange-“
“Oh, no! There is a ‘but’” Marinette gasped again covering her mouth with a hand with feigned shock. “What will she want from a poor, little me?”
“In exchange,” Alya repeated, her voice going low and bossy. “You will make me the perfect wedding dress.”
“I thought we agreed that I would make you a perfect wedding dress a long time ago?” Marinette asked.
“Just making sure it’s still on,” her friend grinned. “I don’t know the wedding date yet but gotta start planning early, no? All those details you know you have to do but forget at the last moment! A dress, a cake, a limo, flowers, a venue, guests, a groom! Man, there is a lot to do!”
Laughing lightheartedly, Marinette stepped forward and tightly hugged her best friend again. “Hey, don’t go all bridezilla on me so early on. Everything will be fine. You’ll be fine, Alya. We’ll help you every step of the way until Nino places that ring on your finger.”
“Thanks, girl!” Alya hugged Marinette back and closed her eyes. “I am so happy, Mari,” she whispered in a few moments. “I was secretly starting to think he wasn’t interested enough to marry me despite what I said earlier about his possible birthday proposal.” She pulled away, light traces of tears still visible in her eyes. “But he is the best man ever and I love him so much!”
“Nino loves you very much, Alya,” Marinette smiled back. “I never doubted you were made for each other and I am so, so happy for you. You’ll have an amazing life together, achieve all your dreams and have five kids.”
“Five?” Alya gasped, untangling herself from a giggling Marinette. “If I remember correctly you wanted no more than three. Why would you wish me five?”
“Cause you are amazing and there must be more amazing people like you in this sad, little world,” Marinette offered with lips trembling with the urge to erupt in a smile.
“Fine,” Alya pouted. “I forgive you. But!” she poked her finger into Marinette’s chest. “I am the one deciding how many kids I am having. Got it?”
“Yes, ma’am!” Marinette nodded feverishly, dangerously close to giggling. “Should we go if I am forgiven then?”
“Only cause you are cute and I want Adrien to have a gorgeous bride one day,” Alya replied and pulled out a small business card out of her purse checking the address. The lack of reply on Marinette’s part and her sudden uneasiness didn’t escape her, though. She decided not to push it. There was obviously something that bothered Marinette, something she now figured that was related to Adrien, and knowing Marinette and her problems it was probably his failure to make that damned first step towards a proper relationship. Damned Agreste, Alya sighed. If he wouldn’t make a move, it seemed that she would have to do it for him. As for Marinette, being her closest friend, Alya knew the girl would come to her when she was ready. There was no point in prying before that. Hard, but still fruitless and ungrateful labor that would be - Alya knew that from experience. If Marinette didn’t want her to know something, she would never find out. Better spend her energy on making Marinette have a great day and soothe whatever pain she was harboring. The rest would fall into place eventually.
* * *
Today is the day everything would change, Adrien thought excitedly as he practically jumped out of his bed ready to face the day that would change his life forever. Today he was going to propose a fake relationship to Marinette. Today, as his best friend, she would undoubtedly agree to help him out and his cunning plan, “Make Marinette fall in love with me,” would commence. Grinning to himself all the way through his morning routine, Adrien felt finally happy. No more stalling. He needed to move and do something if he wanted to win Marinette’s heart. Yesterday’s fiasco was barely remembered as he quickly made himself a sandwich and got to plan his evening, fake engagement date. Food. Yes, food must be real and delicious, he hummed to himself and googled the nearby restaurants with the best reviews. Music. Soft, romantic music and maybe slightly dimmed lights?
“Plagg, stop it,” Adrien muttered under his breath for the fifth time, taking the plate with the remains of his sandwich away from a pair of vying paws trying to snatch the cheese. Candles would probably be too much and way too obvious and he wanted to be sneaky, not to scare Marinette away by pushing too hard.
“Plagg,” he frowned at a kitten who was now rubbing against every part of him he was able to reach. “I know what you are trying to do and that won’t work. Cheese is bad for you.”
The room? Adrien looked around his kitchen and living room. Seemed to be clean enough, he judged and decided to do just a light dusting and vacuuming. And everything will be just perfect. Simple, homey and sweet. Perfect.
“Plagg,” Adrien giggled when a rough tongue started licking his hands. Plagg was really going all out today and if this day promised to be exceptional for him why not make his kitten a little happier too? “Ok,” Adrien agreed. “But only a small piece and you deal with the consequences yourself. No complaints accepted.” He chipped a little bit of the cheese from his sandwich and offered it to Plagg. The kitten hungrily bit right into it, his loud, satisfied purr filling the room.
“Well, at least one of us is already happy,” Adrien smiled and finishing the rest of his meal headed to the kitchen. Time to get ready. Time to make his life a little better too.
That afternoon, when the food was pre-ordered, a perfect music list organized and set up, lighting tested a few times and the apartment became spotless, not a thing out of place, not a speck of dust to be seen Adrien’s cell unexpectedly rang. Caller ID stated Alya, the voice on the other end was too quiet to distinguish.
“Hey, Adrien,” she whispered barely audible.
“Why are we so quiet, Agent Cèsaire?” he whispered back.
“No time to explain,” Alya said a little louder but still clearly trying to hide from someone either the words she was saying or the fact of the call itself. “Do you remember that thing I asked you to get for Nino’s birthday?”
“That not-out-yet, super cool, Nino-would-totally-swoon album by that awesome new band?” Adrien smirked. Even he had to go through quite a bit of trouble to get it but it was all worth it. The universe would pay him back today for being such a good friend. He’d get a fake fiancée of his dreams. “Of course I do and as a matter of a fact it just arrived this past Thursday.”
“I need it,” Alya demanded. “Right now. Can you bring it in an hour to this address?”
Quickly glancing at his screen, Adrien registered the address Alya sent to be not that far away and agreed. It was in the nearby shopping district and he still needed to buy an engagement ring for Marinette anyway. “Sure. I’ll be there at four. But what’s the rush? Didn’t you said to hold it until next week for his birthday?”
“Plans tend to change sometime, Agreste, but thanks,” she replied in her almost normal voice. “I owe you one.”
“Sure,” Adrien chuckled. “I’ll add that to the list.”
“You’ll thank me one day very soon,” Alya’s tone indicated a definite smirk. “As a matter of fact, I’ll make one of your dreams come true today, Adrien.”
“And what dream is that?” he asked a bit intrigued. “Wait! Are you saying-“
“Not your bizarre free croissants for a lifetime wish, don’t worry,” Alya snickered. “Something way cooler. Just meet me at 4 and you’ll understand.”
“Ok,” Adrien chuckled again. “I guess I have no choice but to trust you on that, huh?”
“As I said, Agreste, you’ll thank me,” Alya added and bid her farewell. Glancing at the clock, Adrien noted the time and went to change. Maybe he'd be able to drop into a jewelry store beforehand if he left a bit early. Everything else was already done anyway so there was no point in waiting around for the right time. With his wallet and cellphone, Nino’s present and a few other necessities in hands, the man left the house.
He should’ve stayed home.
Adrien’s mind stopped working, instantly turning to something incapable of rational thinking and spitting out something incomprehensible in short, random bursts instead. His usually perfectly healthy body refused to function properly, threatening to disable his limbs at any given moment, as his eyes couldn’t look away from a sight he momentarily considered both a blessing and a curse.
Standing in a middle of the road the young man stared point blank through a window of a bridal boutique in front of him at a very flustered, unbelievably gorgeous Marinette in the most beautiful wedding gown he’d ever seen. Similarly staring back at him for a few moments, Marinette sent him one of the prettiest smiles he’d ever see her wear. He vaguely noted something falling down from his hand and hitting the road causing Marinette to softly giggle. She shyly waved to him, bringing the man back to this world.
A sign, a perfectly clear sign that my plan will succeed, Adrien concluded and bend down to pick up the small bag containing Nino’s present. He quickly checked his cell to make sure that this boutique was, in fact, the address Alya sent him earlier and walked in. Upon learning his name, the receptionist quickly ushered him inside to a room full of wedding gowns, featuring a slyly smirking Alya and a shy, blushing Marinette in a middle, both wearing one of their own.
The gown Alya wore was undoubtedly beautiful. It hugged every curve she owned in a sensual way, sleeking down her skin until it flared out in a skirt just above her knees. Adrien, however, didn’t notice anything beyond that because his eyes were once again glued to Marinette. The gown she wore was incredible. It was a lace, body-fitted dress, accentuating Marinette’s forms softly yet very effectively and in just the right places. The sweetheart neckline, pretty lace straps, and A-line skirt were simple and common enough elements of wedding dresses but somehow this particular gown fit Marinette so well that it physically pained him to look at her and not be able to do anything else but stare, forgetting how to breathe in the meantime.
“Doesn’t Marinette look great?” Alya appeared beside him from out of nowhere. “Told you you’ll thank me,” she whispered. “Now, go take it off,” she said so quietly Adrien at first thought he heard her wrongly but glancing at her grin freaked out.
“Wh- what do y-you me-mean t-take it of-off?” he stuttered.
“I mean,” Alya said out loud now. “I need to leave a.s.a.p. and I’ll need both of the assistants available to help me. So you go help Marinette to take that dress off. Plus, I promised you a wish come true, no?” Alya whispered again. “Doesn’t every man dreams of taking a wedding dress off a girl?”
“Alya!” two voices sounded at once.
“I can take it off myself,” Marinette protested, crimson color covering her cheeks rapidly.
“Oh, can you really?” Alya grinned. “With all those buttons at the back? And what’s the big deal, guys? You never shied away from the physical contact. You are even more touchy and cuddly than Nino and I and we are engaged!”
“Oh, so he actually went through with it?” Adrien grinned yet wondered why Nino hadn't called him yet. Then, on the other hand, he should’ve suspected it right away seeing Alya was in a bridal boutique trying on wedding dresses. Why was Marinette in one, thought? A sign, he grinned and added: “Congratulation, Agent Cèsaire! May you live happily ever after with your handsome husband by your side. By the way,” he leaned closer and whispered. “Not to wait till his birthday was my suggestion.”
“You knew and didn’t tell me, Agreste?” Alya narrowed her eyes at the blond.
“Why would I tell you that?" Adrien was clearly surprised but wasn't given even a second to recover as Alya burst into a laugh at his lost expression.
“Adrien,” she laughed. “When will you stop being so easily played? Just go help out Marinette with that dress already. I really am in a hurry.”
“Alya-” Marinette wanted to intercede.
“Come on,” Alya said first. “What really is the big deal? Or are you finally admitting that this time you won’t be able to resist -”
“There is nothing to resist,” Marinette interrupted before her friend could spill her so well-hidden secrets to the man from whom those secrets were safely guarded for years. Her face flared up with a blush yet her features saddened just a bit. In a minute, thought, that determined streak she possessed spiked in her eyes. Alya was right! This shouldn’t be a big deal. The road to getting over Adrien had to start sooner or later. Why not now?
"Let's go, Adrien," Marinette called and headed to a nearby change room. She would prove that she could do this. She could let Adrien take that dress off and be completely cool with it. In fact, if she will let him do it and not be bothered in the slightest. “And we’ll change faster than you with two of your assistants,” Marinette added, pushing the man in front of her inside the small room.
“Oh, it’s on, girl!” they heard from behind a rapidly closing door. “Bet you…”
The sound of Alya’s voice drowned in the void rapidly as the door closed and the pair found themselves standing less than a meter away in the confinement of a small changing room with no one around and a single goal on their agenda - to take that dress off Marinette as soon as possible. A wedding dress, Adrien gulped. Deep inside he admitted that Alya was, possibly, right. He did often wonder what it would be like to make that happen. Unfortunately, contrary to his dreams, they weren’t married now and they weren't in their newlywed's hotel suite.
“Ok, so you unbutton those things at the back and then I can do the rest by myself,” Marinette instructed and turned around revealing to him her back. The moment she did Adrien froze again. There was a nice lace design at her shoulders connected to the skirt that started just at her waist by a row of round white buttons but that was about it. The rest of her back was bare. Well, under that thin, see-through, barely there kind of material he didn’t even register at first. The fact that he, the man who worked most of his life in the fashion industry, couldn’t even remember the name of that fabric said a lot to Adrien as he hesitated to start, noticing one more particular detail that made him stop in his tracks.
“Adrien?” Marinette turned a bit around when after almost a minute and he hadn’t moved an inch. He looked at her desperately, his eyes wanting to say something, his lips refusing to obey, unsure if he should and what would even be the proper way and how would he explain that this was a problem for him in the first place?
“Did you forget how buttons work?” Marinette chuckled at his helpless expression.
“No,” Adrien yelped and looked away.
“Then what is it?”
“There,” he didn’t really know how to say it, blushing and nervously biting his lips at the same time. “Well, you see…” he tried again.
“Is there something wrong?” Marinette frowned.
“Well, yes and no,” Adrien replied. “You see, it seemed that, maybe I am missing something, but I think, it’s quite possible that you… you are not wearing your bra?”
“I don’t want to make you uncomfortable,” he whispered after the dead silence stretched past the comfortable level but just before he wanted to suggest he should probably go Marinette burst in giggles.
“I’m wearing one of those strapless, bandless bras, Adrien," she explained. "Alya made me buy one here so my regular bra wouldn't show up at the back," she turned around. "Come on, Adrien. We'll lose the bet this way, Get to it, already. As if you've never taken clothes off a girl before.”
“Actually,” he muttered under his breath and moved closer. “I’ll have you know that you are my first one,” he said loud enough for Marinette to hear and blush into a stunt silence. A moment later she raised her hands and drew back the hair from her back to give him better access. Receiving no more instructions Adrien started his job.
As far as everyone is aware buttons are a pretty much one of the simplest inventions ever, easily operated by most people. Kids learn quite early on how to work them. Adults never think twice when buttoning their own shirt. You just take a button and pull it out the buttonhole. Easy. Trying to make that happen, Adrien wasn’t so sure anymore. At least not these buttons anyway because these ones stubbornly refused to let him undo them. His shaky hands might have contributed but that didn’t matter now. He needed to help Marinette and do that quickly since he would be asking for a favor himself in a few hours. Struggling, Adrien held his breath and leaned closer, determined to succeed.
After the first button finally gave in the rest went much easier. However, the lower he was getting, the more times his fingers brushed over Marinette’s bare, silky soft skin, the tenser and tenser she became, the more uneasy and conflicted he became. His fingers wanted to linger on her skin longer, he wanted to lean in closer and inhale that sweet aroma one more time but it was evident that Marinette was uneasy about the whole process in the first place.
Ok, Adrien thought to himself, need to do this without touching Marinette. If she didn’t like it, he needed to respect her boundaries and not touch. At least it was easier on her. She didn't have any romantic feelings for him that she had to fight against. For Adrien, being so close and unable to have, might just have been the ultimate torture.
Don’t get him wrong. Adrien was used to cuddling and hugging Marinette. As Alya said platonic touches weren’t a big deal for them. Taking off clothes, however, was, and as a young, healthy male who happened to find Marinette extremely attractive but didn’t want to make either of them uncomfortable, Adrien had to minimize the contact with her bare skin as much as possible.
“I’m sorry,” he muttered when accidentally brushing over her skin again. Proceeding to the next button, he pulled the fabric just a bit out more to create some space. The rest of them went much smoother. One-by-one they yielded under Adrien’s fingers so easily that a few moments later he didn’t even notice as he passed Marinette’s waist and almost reached the end of the row. An unexpected sight of black and red lace edging that clearly didn’t belong to the dress made Adrien pause and notice just how close he got when he absentmindedly kneeled down to reach those last buttons. So close he could feel the heat radiating from her body, could register the slight scent of the body lotion she used, could almost feel her trembling a bit. Biting his lip, Adrien vaguely registered a suddenly strong urge to lean in just a tad bit closer and touch the silk of her skin with his lips. His eyes closed on a whim as he inhaled the sweet aroma of Marinette’s skin.
Just a little bit closer.
Digging into his lip harder Adrien pulled back before making a crucial mistake. He couldn’t give in now. He couldn’t do something like this. Not at least before she felt about him the same way he did about her. He respected her much more than that. Pulling the fabric even further in that particular spot Adrien quickly finished his job and stepped back to leave.
His gaze landed on a mirror in front of Marinette and met her stunned eyes. He froze, caught in her flustered expression. Did she see his little near-miss? Did she realize what he was about to do? Did she now know how much he wanted to slide his hands inside that dress and feel the tantalizing skin beneath? How much he would give for the chance to taste the softness of her lips at least once? How hard he had to restrain himself to not turn her around and pour all of his longing and love into a kiss, pressing her against that damned mirror? Did Marinette now understand that by responding back she would be making his life worth living, would fulfill his life’s most fervent desires?
“Done,” he said almost silently and way too quickly. He needed to get out of here. Escape his embarrassment. Needed the air. Needed to breathe. “I’ll wait outside if you don’t need me anymore.”
“Thanks.” He heard a quiet response just before closing a door behind himself.
“Looks like I won, Agreste!” Alya announced as soon as he was out. Fully clothed into her regular outfit, the woman eyed him with a satisfied smirk on her lips and an unhidden amusement in her eyes.
“You had two assistants,” Adrien murmured. “It wasn’t fair from the start.”
“Agree,” Alya grinned. “Plus neither of them was so shy and nervous as you about doing their work.”
“I—“ Adrien wanted to say something to contradict the blooming blush on his face but Alya decided to spare him: “So are we even?”
“What do you mean?” Adrien sat in a nearby chair with a slightly confused look on his face.
“You got me this album for Nino, I made your masculine dream come true.”
"You can keep that album—" he only sighed in return. Why was he even annoyed? It's not like either Alya or Nino hid it how hard they shipped him with Marinette. But more often than not their little stunts left both, Marinette and him, a little more than embarrassed and as a result, Adrien sometimes thought that they only pushed his dream farther away, “—as long as you promise to stop doing whatever you are doing guys. Both you and Nino.”
“We are not doing anything, Adrien,” the girl tried to play innocent but, being met with an extremely skeptical glare and a raised brow, pouted and stopped.
“I’m only trying to help, you know,” Alya said a little later, much quieter.
“Well, it doesn’t help, Alya. So, please, stop,” Adrien responded. The next few minutes they sat in a tense silence, boutique workers walking away a long time ago.
“So,” Alya’s lips were tingling in a near explosion of a grin. “How many buttons were there?”
"Twenty-seven,” Adrien responded absentmindedly but froze and glared at Alya immediately as the red tint of his cheeks made a triumphant return. Yet before he could say anything in response, the changing room’s door opened and out came Marinette. The girl stopped and addressed her friend right away, ignoring him completely.
“Alya,” she said calmly yet it was obvious she was struggling to keep herself in check. “A word. Outside. Now.”
“Can you, please, stop this already?” were the first words Marinette said as soon as they stepped out into the street and walked a few meters to the side.
“Stop what, Mari-“
“Stop pushing Adrien and me together,” Marinette’s voice cracked. “Do you really think that I don’t see what you are doing, what you have been doing for years? Do you honestly think Adrien doesn’t realize what is going on? Do you know how uncomfortable and embarrassing this is for him?”
The pain in Marinette’s eyes that Alya had caught only a glimpse of this morning returned tenfold, rendering her speechless. Her friend’s voice trembled, her eyes got moist, the arms reached to hug the seemingly fragile all of a sudden frame.
“I don’t think this is the case, Marinette.” Alya stepped closer and put her arm on Marinette’s shoulder in an attempt to comfort her friend. “Adrien is in love-“
“Not with me, Alya,” the girl interrupted very quietly.
“Marinette.” Alya put her other arm on a Marinette’s second shoulder and looked her right into her eyes. “Have you seen the way he looks at you? The way he talks about you? He’s practically screaming that he loves you, girl. Do you at least realize that no one spends as much time together or is as comfortable with each other and the amount of cuddling you two are doing unless-“
“I asked him, Alya,” Marinette interceded again. This time even quieter, curling in on herself even more.
“You what?” Alya couldn’t believe it. For years she observed her best friend losing it over Adrien. Marinette wasn’t so open about it now but they talked about it quite a lot at the start. They planned her unrealized confessions to him, she gave her countless advice Marinette never took, then later Nino and her made and executed hundreds of plans to bring those two closer. Some were awesome, some didn't work but in the end, Alya thought they had succeeded - Adrien and Marinette were the closest they’d ever been.
There was only one problem. She just couldn’t push them into a romantic relationship for some reason. No matter what she did, no matter how obviously in love those two idiots were, it just wouldn’t happen. There were times Alya wished that she’d be able to do that for them but at the end that was something that no one could do for them, she realized; nor would Marinette want for her to go that far. So she stuck to her usual teasing and pushing them together. And now, after long eight years, Marinette finally did something herself to try to achieve her happy ending? That was quite surprising. It would’ve been also quite a nice surprise if it weren’t for the miserable and dejected state she was in right now.
“I asked him yesterday if he had someone special in his life…”
“And?”
“He said he has been in love with someone for years,” Marinette responded. “But he can’t be with that person for some reason.”
“That person could be you,” Alya shook Marinette’s shoulders. “Marinette, look at me. That person is you.”
“Do you really think so, Alya?” the girl raised her brows. The amount of pain and sadness in them almost astonished Alya. “Because all those years he knew me I was single. There wasn’t and isn’t any reason Adrien couldn’t or can’t be with me. We spend so much time together, as you said,” Marinette’s eyes fell back to the ground, her voice becoming shakier and quieter. “Do you really think that if he felt something more that friendship towards me, he would’ve made a move by now?”
That question even Alya couldn’t answer because as much as she was convinced Adrien loved Marinette, her heartbroken friend’s logic was right. There was not a single reason why he couldn’t be with her. Eight years they had known each other, all those months of close friendship, all those days they’d practically lived together… Yet, Adrien never made a move. He never told Marinette he loved her. He never confessed even to Nino about whom his heart belonged to. He hadn’t even tried the simplest but most telling of things - a kiss.
“Adrien is in love, Alya,” Marinette suddenly spoke again. “Just not with me. So can you, please, stop?”
“I’m so sorry,” Alya whispered and pulled Marinette into a tight hug. “I am so sorry, Marinette. I honestly thought-“
“I know you didn’t mean anything bad, Alya,” Marinette responded quietly. “And who knows… if he did feel something for me, maybe it would’ve worked but it’s just simply not meant to be.”
“So what now?” Alya pulled away after a few minutes, still keeping her hands on Marinette’s shoulders. “Now that you know this what are you going to do?”
“Move on,” Marinette tried to smile through her lingering tears. She wiped them hastily away and repeated: “I’ll do my best to move on.”
“Will you look for someone else?”
“I’ll try to heal first,” Marinette smiled sadly. “But I don’t think I’ll avoid other guys from now on. We’ll see what happens. Maybe my prince charming will find me soon.”
“And Adrien?” Alya asked. “The kind of friendship you have isn’t the one that just goes away. Not without an explanation, at least.”
“I think, I’ll try to avoid him as much as I can for now," Marinette sighed. "I still want to be his friend but it’s time for my heart to move on. I lived all those years with one goal in mind—“ she paused for a second, all those years flashing by her, “—to reach the time I would be in a position to confess to Adrien. Yet, that was me chasing an illusion I was never meant to have. Now, it’s time to finally stop following someone so unattainable and start thinking about myself.”
“I’ll support you in whatever you choose, Marinette. You know that, right?” Alya pulled her friend into another hug. “As long as it’ll make you happy, I’ll be right by your side.”
“I’m sure it will,” Marinette breathed out, calming down a little. Today was undoubtedly a fun day out with her friend yet it was a really hard day at the same time. It was the day when everything for her changed. Today she had made the hardest decision of her life to start the road to freedom from the bounds that kept her heart a prisoner for years. Today she’d start moving on from Adrien Agreste.
“I am sure it will,” she quietly repeated and felt a light squeeze of Alya’s arms around her shoulders. “As long as I have my friends by my side, I’ll be fine.”
