My OC Lehti when he was a child and his adoptive mom, Pomi!

As I explained in this post, Lehti is ostracised by humans and they've been trying to kill him ever since he was born. Pomi found him in a box of plants she ordered and decided to keep him.

More rambling about my ocs teehee

To add more details about Lehti's origins, we actually know who his bio parents are in the story! It's not a mystery at all.

They are pretty "famous" as they are two big religious figures for the humans. However, when Lehti was born, due to his weird appearance, he was assimilated to a demon and was supposed to be killed right away. His bio mom ran away to protect him but was eventually found a few years later, without her child. She was quickly executed for birthing and protecting a demon.

Ik it's very "Kung-Fu Panda"-esque but in his case his bio father is the one who's trying to kill him so yeah?? Hardcore daddy issues.

When Pomi found him in her plant box, she quickly understood who he was, the execution of his bio mom was making the headlines everywhere. She never wanted to be a mom but if she gave him away to an orphanage he would end up in the system and be found by the humans pretty quickly. She felt like she had no other choice but to keep him.

She'll become a very dedicated mother over time!

Coloured Doodles from September 28th-29th, 2024 So uh... do y'all ever just make things that are conceptually incomprehensible to all but one person? Well xD My buddy @eleanorose123 just finished her rewatch of Yugioh GX recently and I've been privy to much of the ridiculous experience along the way, so all of these were made exclusively for her, but then she asked if I was going to upload any of them sooooo here you go I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I really enjoy interpreting human characters as animals and vice versa, it's easily one of my favourite aspects of being a character designer in general, and Yugioh character designs specifically give me a lot to work with in that regard, so here's the Saiou Creature Saga™ featuring Edo and Judai (of varying degrees of effort lol, sorry I'm very tired) I don't go here myself but I had a ton of fun so... enjoy? xD

I love that weird two-headed alien thing in Anakt Garden so much and especially that pic of ivan resting in its jaw. I know the picture isn't intended to be cute but when I see it I just think of when mother crocodiles scoop up their babies in their mouths to carry them. Ivan was that things little buddy

You’re right about mother crocodiles, I never thought of it that way before. Maybe the wagyein saw Ivan as its baby? Or rather, something that needed its protection?

Another thing I love is how there are so many ways to interpret what the picture means.

Perhaps we’re meant to focus on the similarities between the two: red eyes, prominent teeth/tooth, obedient, monstrous (the wagyein literally and Ivan metaphorically).

Or it could be Ivan symbolically surrendering to the ugly parts of his inner self.

I like to think the picture shows an understanding between them.

They are both odd and somewhat solitary creatures, misunderstood by others. There are ugly parts in each of them that they can’t hide. But they find comfort in one another.

Ivan, resting in the wagyein’s mouth surrounded by all of its teeth, is extremely vulnerable; which we rarely if ever see him be at any other time in the series. The wagyein is also vulnerable to any attack beyond its teeth, throat, etc.

The fact that Ivan isn’t afraid of getting torn to shreds by the beast and the wagyein let Ivan so close suggests that there’s a level of mutual trust as well.

I wonder how Ivan felt when he gained the wagyein’s trust.

We know he struggled to connect with his classmates. Did he feel further ostracized when he had an easier time connecting to some sort of alien creature than other humans?

Did he see too many of his own features in the wagyein (red eyes, sharp teeth, and so on) to even think he was as human as the other children?

Maybe that’s where the idea of Ivan as a monster came from.

I firmly believe the similarities between the two were intentional.

Clementine is a member of the security staff at Emerson's station. She's a social outcast amongst her own species, so the station has become home for her, and her coworkers family. She protects these things with her life, and takes her job and the safety of others very seriously (she is less good about taking care of herself).

Her bigass ears means that she knows Everything™ that happens in the station, for better or for worse. She's great at keeping secrets though, and only discusses the things she overhears with Emerson and Caelum.

A small creature with so many very big emotions she keeps bottled up. I am constantly rotating her in my brain at rapid speeds.
