i wrote up some of my opinions on the rereleases but it was quite long so im leaving it in the drafts but as a summary:

we as a community should want accessibility, and we should not be tearing down people who do not have the time/digital literacy/ability to set up abandonware video games and are excited to have a chance to play them. but also EA is evil and very frequently incompetent so we should also not be putting our faith in the hands of the multi billion dollar corporation who do not care about us or the fun we have to handle these titles with care

I just started replaying DAO after fighting Origin for over an hour, giving up, and buying a cd drive for my laptop so I can use my original copy. And then cursed up a storm as I had to track down the files for the DLCs that I own but apparently EA doesn't think I should have access to anymore. They were hidden on EA's own site. Some of them didn't work. I am filled with nothing but rage over this bs.

But probably not as much rage as your average Mahariel feels going through the bs that is their origin story. I'd even forgotten the state of the female leather armor after all these years of refusing to draw it.

Over at Patreon and society6 our armor covers our entire chest, because safety comes first.

I gave up trying to explain to my mom why I don't like the big bang theory and how Sheldon is an autistic caricature, but she was like 'but Sheldon's my favorite! He's so funny! There's a scene where, in a children's book store, he sees toys and goes "Oh, I love trains!" To which the employee says "Of course you do."

im sorry if this strange to ask but what designs were ripped off last season? i dont mean this as a i dont believe you thing, i genuinely dont know and am a little curious ;;

the artist would like to no longer be associated/bothered so i wont explain or detail much but. A fan season was posted many months (closer to a year, i believe?) before remembrance w the same name and cosmetics for their spirit oc's (cosmetics like the flower basket, newsboy hat, headscarf and apron) and then a few seasons later everything designed on that one piece of fanart for that fanseason was used in-game along with the name of said fanseason, which is completely too specific to be coincidental. something similar happened for the ults in shattering ect.

Jest aside, Gaius is. Not particularly bothered by spiders, but there is still such a thing as too many. He borrows the fire magic of anyone capable in the vicinity and torches em. (Barring that, he resorts to Incinerator).

Oberon rather gleefully starts stomping through, he does not believe there is a such thing as a spider that's too big to get booted.

Sigmund would prefer to be as far away from any number of spiders as he can possibly. He torches the fuckers with the Light.

Terang Bulan actually likes spiders fine, but in a situation like what CatRat got up to, he's willing to go "yeah, okay" and get his hammer out. He does not like the sound of the squishing.

Arashi is pretty fine to just eat them, but he also doesn't want to be looked at weird, so he actually just won't get involved.

I realized that only three AAA games this year weren't absolute disasters and two of them were remakes. I'm talking abt Dead Space, RE4R and Zelda ToTK ofc

I really can't think of any other AAA game that didn't have a controversy surrounding it
