Static is the Sonic character little me needed as a kid who wanted to run as fast as Sonic but also couldn't run long distances for SHIT without feeling like they were about to die and needed a solid 15 min or more before they fully recovered

Static can run but in very short bursts and it takes a lot of energy outta them so they basically drop right the and there for a nap.

The longer and farther they run, the longer they sleep.

Made myself sad over my Pokemon cards this morning

I collect them and I've developed a habit of looking at the dates on the bottom because I like to see which ones are labeled from 2007, when I first got really into Pokemon and collecting, and which are from more recent since I went on a collection hiatus for a good chunk of years and I realized just today that my super old vintage cards were not originally from me opening booster packs

Because they are dated from the 90s and early 2000s.

Which is way before I started to collect cards since I got into them when Diamond and Pearl came out.

And I remembered I used to trade cards with my older cousin who I always hung out with as a kid

All my vintage cards are from him

It was like a crazy flood of memories unlocking for me of my childhood and I felt really nostalgic and it just bummed me out because I'm all grown now and everything has changed and I can't relive those days anymore

Just CRAZY how important little bits of old withered cardboard can be on the brain chemistry
