Something that's so exasperating to me about the "narcissistic abuse" and "narcissists vs empaths" paradigm is the amount of people with BPD contributing to it all. It wasn't even 10 years ago that people with BPD were all characterized the same way. Frankly it's only a small progressive corner of the psych industry that's even softened in that way. Narcissists are our SIBLINGS. Not our enemies or predators. It's not progress to get out from under that scrutiny via pushing other vulnerable people farther into the spotlight.

#i know I talk about this a lot but just imagine how often i think about it #if you have bpd please understand a therapist who is positive about bpd but stigmatizes Narcissism and Sociopathy #probably would have treated you like a fucking rabid dog if you met them a generation ago #ableism/#im still unpacking ways the stigma against bpd has fucked up my relationship with family members and my own symptoms #and seeing people do that to another group isnt ok!!#i refuse to accept ''actually these ones REALLY deserve it. turns out you were the tragically sick good guys and theyre the toxic ones''#i refuse!!!!
