What is the Secret Spirit Exchange: The MP100 Secret Spirit Exchange is an anonymous holiday gift exchange for the Mob Psycho 100 fandom!

Content Guidelines: Adult/minor pairings and incestuous content is absolutely not allowed. Additionally, since this is an all-ages exchange NSFW content is not permitted; please keep your shipping content PG-13!

What sort of prompts can I request? You can request up to three prompts, and they can be as general or specific as you would like! Prompts can focus on a character or group of characters, a relationship, a part of canon you would like to see explored, a specific scenario . . . really, whatever you want!

Can I request ship content? Yes, as long as it adheres to the content guidelines! However, we ask that at least one of your prompts be gen so your gift-giver has more options to work with.

Can I request AUs? Absolutely! However, we ask that at least one of your prompts be based on canon in case your gift-giver is unfamiliar with the AU in question.

How are assignments sent out? Assignments are sent via email, so please make sure the email you provide on the signup form will reach you! Assignments will include your recipient’s Tumblr url, their prompts, and any personal content guidelines they’ve provided.

I signed up, but I didn't receive an assignment! PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER! Email clients love to eat exchange signups for some reason. If it's not there, message the mod!

What can I make for my gift? All kinds of fanworks are encouraged! You can write fic, make fanart, put together an AMV, write a song, or anything else you can think of! The only rules are that it must be your own work (no AI-generated content), it must be given over the internet (we cannot facilitate the delivery of in-person gifts), and it must adhere to the prompts and content guidelines provided by your recipient.

What if I have questions for my recipient? Remember, you have to be a secret spirit, so if you have any questions for your recipient, be sure to ask them on anon! If your recipient doesn’t accept anon messages or you have more general questions, send them to the mod, either on Tumblr or at mp100secretspirit@gmail.com

Do I need to show something for check-in? No, check-ins are just to remind you to be working on your piece! I know it's easy for exchanges to slip people's minds, so we're adding another reminder this year.

How do I post my work? Once we have reached the Posting Period, make a Tumblr post including your gift and tag your recipient! You may upload your gift elsewhere (for example AO3), but you still must make a Tumblr post with the link.

What if I have to drop out? If you do not think you can create a gift in the allotted time frame, we suggest that you do not sign up for the exchange. However, if something comes up and you need to drop out at a later date, please contact the mods ASAP! We need to make sure your recipient still receives a gift, so we appreciate as much warning as possible so we can make alternate arrangements.

What if I don’t receive anything by the end of the Posting Period? Message the mods!! We will double-check with your secret spirit, and if there is not a gift ready for you we will work with anyone who volunteered to fill in to ensure you get something!

Now I'm really interested in what your Tlou mods folder looks like 🤭 18 thousands of pics? When are you gonna share all of these with us? No just kidding, I love you. So jealous of you being able to mod the game.

It's just a regular folder full of many other folders, sorted out by chapters where each of them contain multiple others named by the scenes that I've taken pics of.

Since I always end up taking around 300-800 pics per scene (based on how long it is), the photo count has already reached 18k. Don't look at me like that. I love Tlou, what can I tell you. I need to treasure all those perfect moments taken.

Yes, I still use win7 on my old laptop. I think it was the best one and I refuse to stop using it. (I take these pics on my gaming laptop tho, this oldie wouldn't be able to keep up with games anymore). I only store and edit here.

It's difficult choosing which photos to share with y'all. Since I'm very patient, I avoid over-sharing in order to ensure that I can continue posting brand new mods for years to come, with many more stored away.

Cade E Cherrypop! (Normal/Ruined)

My love for sentient entertainment animatronics is one that will forever remain unshaken. Cade E Cherrypop is the sentient android mascot of Cade E Arcade! (Thx to the new chibi preset by @sdmsims, another little mascot will be along shortly as a friend)

After society collapses due to a zombie-apocalypse-plus, the arcade falls into ruin, and Cade E eventually reawakens in the ruins in her second withered form, sun-bleached, dirty and damaged.

Xelleen Wisher

Xelleen Wisher's a gaming streamer in this world's analog to Twitch! Despite his anxiety disorder, he does his best to put up an optimistic and energetic persona for his audience. He really loves cute things, especially cats and small collectibles! He's also very, very good at videogames, dabbling in speed runs and challenge runs.

Xelleen was created by me as a very positive character. He combines physical traits that are painted as a stereotypical "neckbeard" image (acne, overweightness) with features of the "gamergirl" aesthetic (cute clothes, makeup, lots of pink.) He stands as his own person, defined by neither stereotype.

Steelie Buzzkill

(Wouldn't Be Possible Without @sdmsims's Anime Mod!!!)

Ordered as an Incarnate (an Incarnate is a special type of android commissioned to be a real-word version of a fictional character) of somebody's OC, Steelie's shipment was intercepted after the law recognizing android sentience was passed. His company dumped him and his peers on the side of the road near a rural town.

Since he was freed before artificial memories were programmed into him, he doesn't know what character he's intended to be, and he really doesn't WANT to know.

He works at IHopTopic, the compound store that exists because in this universe, IHop and Hot Topic had some sort of business deal from hell that led to a combined location.

(Between you and me, his design SOMEBODY's fannon ship child OC, but I won't say more than that, nor do the medias his parents are from exist irl.)

The rest will just be character images with short descriptions. I'll likely make individual posts later on going in more depth!!

Torren's a model! He models both clothes and makeup.

I'm torn between Lovestruck and Businesses & Hobbies.

And that damn new one coming out. 😆

I'm leaning on Lovestruck just to not have to use some mods that I've been using (great mods, no issues, but just don't want my mods folder getting that big)...

But then wondering if I really wanna deal with all this extra relationship bullshit that will make it more complicated for me?

I don't know. I find it so irritating for me personally, to have what's been added with relationships and/or gender and sexuality. It isn't having it in the game that bothers me, it's that after so many years of me just making up stuff that wasn't always part of the game to now have to spend time with my Sims getting it I know other Sims only to have that sim be like I'm flattered, but I don't feel the same way it's like -- are you kidding me? Especially for legacy style gameplay where it's like omg they need to have an offspring NOW for this to continue and this Sim was supposed to be THE ONE... But now they aren't.

I can go into CAS and change things, but it's like this extra step.

In addition to this, it's like having relationship information outside of the romance menu -- I still haven't gotten used to it I am like what the hell why can't I find what I'm looking for?

I did read some bugs that happened with Lovestruck or they continue to happen and I'm like... Is this going to undo all of my Sims relationships? Or make them more complicated?

There's a lot that I create in my mind -- like A LOT. So like I said, I have no issues with all of the added gameplays, but it also has made it super confusing for me when it comes to relationships in the game.

I mean so much so that I have the Sims dating app in my game, on and off, for years now -- and it literally gets hardly any use because in my mind I'm like I'm gonna send them out into the world and they'll meet someone somewhere or even at work. And if they don't, I'll create someone in CAS and put them in the game.

Anyway -- so that's why I've got Lovestruck on the back burner -- but also, I'm not too into the furniture from that pack.

It's not like I'll never get Lovestruck -- I may just decide to get it by like tomorrow or something, who really knows -- but I'm also like wouldn't it be better for you to just get Businesses and Hobbies?

I really love that fireplace you can just plot in the center of a room, I also like a hairstyle or two, and I actually like some of the clothes (I'm not very particular with clothes -- never was and at this point, I here's so much of it in the game already) -- but it's also that damn lollipop maker that sticks out to me especially since I have a gameplay/story I left for like 2 years where one of my Sims is a candy shop owner... But also the pottery, I love and I'm sure I can find a use for making tattoos (I assume at least?).

So I don't know.

I feel like Lovestruck I would get more usage out of it with my legacy save as well as my Age of Sims, but the builder and food lover in me is like you know you want businesses and hobbies more...

As for the new pack -- I don't have even know what we're getting beyond fairies. I'm sure they already had the walkthrough? Or maybe they didn't? I don't even know. I am ALWAYS behind with Sims and totally okay with that fact, but just mentioning it.

I sort of was like maybe all of this nature stuff would be great for Age of Sims, but then I'm like wait is it all magical gardening stuff? Because if so then no. I don't know.

I also just got Life & Death like on May 1st, so I'm kind of like maybe ease up with the occult? I don't know. I need to see more of that pack, but that one won't be on sale for awhile... But at the same time, if I like that one more then it won't matter -- just best to get that one...

The damn back and forth. 🤦🏽‍♀️😆

I'll figure it out.. eventually!

I'll end up with all of the expansion/game packs at some point, I already know, but just which one is it gonna be this time around? Don't know. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

How to create visual "custom categories" with the new Sims 4 Studio Batch-Edit

As discovered by @vyxated Sims 4 Studio now supports batch-changing the Display Index number which allows you to easily sort your CC (see post here)

Using that, you can create visual "custom categories" for any existing category to sort your CC into smaller groups that share a thematic.

Step 1: Creating folders

First you need to sort your CC into whatever categories you want. I am sorting my earrings.

( I use Folder Painter to get colored folders)

Step 2 (Optional): Creating dividers

I highly recommend you to make some sort of divider for your categories (basically like my TidyCAS).

For that, in S4Studio start out by cloning any basegame CAS item.

I usually always use the sunscreen facepaint, but it doesn't really matter, you shouldnt use smth with a mesh.

Or you can download this file and place it in Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods. It has no texture, is enabled for a lot of things and disabled for random.

IMPORTANT: For every new divider you want to create, you have to clone the CAS item from S4Studio again. You cannot simply duplicate your divider CC and simply change it.

Save it as the number and name of your category. For me it would start with "00 Studs".

In that file, first import any type of custom thumbnail you want to use to display the category name.

Then, change the category to whatever category you are working on and enable it for all ages, genders, fashion choices & outfit types you want and disable it for random.

Now if you want, import an empty texture to get rid off the sunscreen, but since you won't apply that CC, it won't matter.

Make sure to place the dividers OUTSIDE your sorted folders.

Step 3: Batch processing in S4Studio

Now you want to batch process your folders in S4Studio.

First click on "My CC" and let it load.

Now right click your first folder and select "Batch Edit - Change CAS Display Index"

In the next window, press "Run".

Then, enter whatever number you want to start with. The smaller the number, the higher up the content is. You can go into negatives and the limit is a veeeeeeeeeery high number.

If you just want to sort some normal CC, I recommend starting with 0 simply.

For the next folder I then always go up by 10, so 0-10-20-30-etc.

Then press "OK".

You will then get a popup with all your changed files (I sorted mine before so it's non lol)

Note: Keep in mind that it does not sort your CC alphabetically. Apparently it's by last modified date.

Step 4: Sorting your dividers

Lastly you want to make sure that your dividers show up at the beginning of the custom categories.

Open up your divider in S4Studio again if you closed it.

Click on "Warehouse", select the "CAS Part" and on the right in the "Filter" field search for "display".

Under "DisplayIndex" you now want to input a number that's before your category.

My category starts at 0, so I will change it to -1. If the category starts with 10, I input 9 and so on.

"SecondaryDisplayIndex" is swatch order, so it doesn't matter here.

Then just save it.

Just had the weirdest experience ever of my RPing career.

Dude I’ve been writing with for a long time, probably the better part of half-a-year, just sent me a zip file. Inside of it, it contained one document and then a folder. The document said READMEFIRST, so I did. He also reiterated when he sent it to me to read the doc first.

Let me preface that this guy has been nothing but a gentleman for the entire half year I’ve known him. We’ve vibed together since day one. We’ve never shared photos of one another. He’s literally been my best friend and best RP partner for the span of time. Our writing styles work so well together and I just. I really thought he was awesome. And now, I’m just sort of broken and at a loss as to what I should do.

The document I opened started with a single-typed page. He essentially went into detail saying this was a half-year anniversary gift. I couldn’t remember for the life of me the day that we met, but he remembered, which I thought was shocking. He said that he’d been collecting these for a long time as sort of like a memento/gift of our time together, which I thought was so super cute. I literally thought this man was rizzing me.

He went on about how he loves how open I am, how we mesh, great partner, blah blah blah. All the usual stuff. Says how excited he is for the next six months, and hopes I enjoy.

I open the next folder, and it contains another document and 134 images.

I have my settings to where my image icons are set to small so I just see the file and the name, so I didn’t see the images immediately, but they were numbered 1-134. So, I go to open the document. My brain was on overdrive by this point. I thought he somehow was commissioning people for artwork of our characters (he told me he’s loaded prior and loves to support artists), and I was just so excited.

Open the document. And it’s just. Pages and pages and pages of detailed descriptions of him LITERALLY. GETTING OFF.

It would be, like: “[date it happened] 1. [roleplay excerpt of mine]” and then it would go into gratuitous detail of how his orgasm felt, what he was thinking of, and imagining me as my OC in that instance, and then rate it out of 10.

I only skimmed, but I caught sight of him sometimes going back to previous passages that he denoted as his “favourites”. So he’d go into detail about how different or better it felt.

I thanked the good Lord above that I had my image files small because that meant that I had over 100 unsolicited dick pics (including…him finishing) sent to me immediately. I didn’t open a single file to check and see if it’s not just an elaborate prank because this happened probably an hour ago and I don’t know what to do.

He messaged me about 20 minutes after I said I was unzipping the file and basically said: “Well, what do you think?”

I honestly don’t know what to think. I haven’t said anything back to him, and he hasn’t messaged me, again. I don’t know what to do, either. I really love what we have and our characters. If he would have told me he liked me, I may have felt flattered and maybe beige flags but still, like…he has never once said or done anything out of line. He’s been so patient and great and just. I am literally sitting here in shock.

I even cried a little bit because I just feel?? Extremely violated?? And it’s just so out there and strange and I don’t know what to do. I just needed somewhere to vent. I feel like I have to block him, but now I’m wondering it he’s capable of anything else? I use a VPN and haven’t given him any information that could dox me. And, also thank God that I use a separate account to RP with.

Should I just ghost him? Should I confront him? Should I just block? Should I change my RP account completely? Has this happened to anyone else before? 😭 If anyone has any advice, I will surely take it…

BLOCK HIM. REPORT HIM.

I wouldn’t confront. I would remove yourself entirely from that situation and prioritise your safety.

▽ Adoptable Joltik  - Sidetracked Events⚡️

I added a 7-event (more like 3, really) storyline included as an update to the Adoptable Joltik mod. It consists of Emmet not taking loss well. He misses his Joltik. He doesn't want to bother you about it. He will get back on track eventually.

These play when you enter the backwoods/mountain pass between 6:00 and 10:00 AM after seeing the adoption event and have at least 8 hearts with Joltik. Enter the mountains at the same time for the 5th event (with Ingo). Each event unlocks a new line of daily dialogue from Joltik and starts a cooldown for the next event to not start until after 4 days. The final (7th) event requires 9 hearts with Joltik.

This update didn't really have any planning. It was a spontaneous decision to make more events and all the content was written as I coded so it's a bit rougher than previous events.

I've been wanting to update the Joltik mod to use Emmet's new recolored spritesheet and lock adoptability behind 8 hearts as intended (and also... fix the event requirements since I realized it was set to 10 hearts instead of 8... oops). The file was also zipped in a way that removed the containing folder so it made using mod loaders like Stardrop and Vortex more finicky.

If you've already seen the adoption event, there wouldn't be much incentive for downloading an update since Emmet doesn't appear outside of events. I'm not ready to release him as a full NPC to the general public just yet! His heart events are still broken. I dread going back and fixing them. I got a bit burnt out from working through my backlog of things to do for the mod and wanted to switch tracks from pixel art (so many portraits...). Eventing is my favorite thing to do regarding the mod, so I decided to make more events to include in the update as a break of sorts (not working on the mod? Taking an actual break? Why, I'd never!). More events are the perfect solution for me wanting to show off the new art for Subway to Stardew while also not implementing submas as full NPCs in the Joltik mod.

I could make Emmet's 9-heart event but... I feel like that's more of a Subway to Stardew thing than an Adoptable Joltik thing... if that makes any sense. I might include it later when I get around to writing/coding it, but I thought it would be a bit abrupt to add in the Joltik mod since you don't really get to befriend Emmet as intended there. There's also some people who aren't obsessed with submas and do download the Joltik mod for well, Joltik! Only Joltik. I went into eventing with that in mind and well...

I missed Emmet. I wanted him to be clingy again. I think you can tell where I got a bit self-indulgent. Making a mod is a lot of work and if I have the ability to turn Stardew into an Emmet friendship simulator, I'm going to make the most out of it. I need my emotional support Emmet to keep me on track. So for people familiar with Subway to Stardew and do like submas, you can get Emmet hugs at 9 hearts with Joltik now because I got derailed. Yippee!

The sneaking around in the mountain pass part was just silly. Since you can't visit Emmet in the Adoptable Joltik mod, I wanted to write around you not being able to find him. He's actively avoiding you now. Whether or not you notice him doesn't matter. He's not going to talk to you. It's safer that way.

I was thinking that Emmet doesn't take loss or changes in his routine very well; adopting Joltik would cause him to split tracks with you for a little bit. He's clingy and can't stand the few he cares about being gone even a little bit. He overthinks Joltik being happier with you so his inferiority complex flares up and he gets insecure about you forgetting him, too. He's jealous of you being a two-car train and he misses having Joltik aboard. He knows it's wrong to direct his frustrations at you since all you did was make Joltik happy.

There is a lot derailing his train of thought. While it's hard for him to stay on track, he still cares about you; you're still his best friend and favorite passenger (at the end of the line...). He doesn't want to split tracks forever, so he'll steer himself away in case if he accidentally lashes out or you end up thinking he's annoying with his visits for Joltik. He doesn't want you to hate him. He just wants to make sure Joltik still cares about him and still care for them while he takes the time to adjust to the changes in his routine. He's still frustrated with you, but that's his problem, not yours. He knows that. He thought it was a good idea to avoid you until he adjusted.

After all of that, his frustrations die down and he's a little deprived of his favorite (not-Joltik) passenger. He's clingy again. He won't let anyone derail him. Not even you. But he's back on track!

speaking of saruin, i also adore her body presets sooo much ! peach pairs super beautifully with the soft kokoro skin for a cute thicc girlie, and her andro presets are perfect for a curvy, more feminine, boy without using a female frame ! :) + these flat chest presets and top !

next is @miikocc, with 5 lovely presets for your fem sims which vary quite a bit in body shape and proportion ^^

For those awaiting an answer on one of my more recent posts, and whether I'll be leaving, here it is. .....Under the cut, as it, in my usual fashion, gets lengthy, you can skip to the end for a TL:DR :)

I'm not going to leave tumblr/simblr, I'll be floating around and still liking people's posts, I'm probably gonna unfollow some people (not my mutuals ofc ilya) just because it's hard to keep up with my dash when I get over 10 notifications every 2 minutes or so especially when if I'm not going to primarily consume Sims 4 content. I'm going to put my mods folder into my external HDD, in order to preserve them ykwim, and I'm going to uninstall TS4, I'll try to make one more sim before the sims 4 gets poofed off my laptop, although as it stands even after freeing up 20 GBs of space, my space went back down to 400 MBs so 😭😭 I will probably be posting variety content, even though I know all my followers are primarily Sims content consumers (some of ya'll do other stuff, but I mean as a whole, my audience tends to be more Sims 4 related), I might play and share some of my Sims 1 content, which is not story oriented, it's just a little gameplay of Roo in the Sims 1 :) I'll also probably post Baldur gate stuff (if I can free up the storage for it LMAO), I'll post witcher content maybe, and plenty of other things, and like I said, I'll continue to float around, and I'll continue to reblog any Sims content I see and enjoy... as well as other things. .... So what about W.A.S? Yea. I dont know, while W.A.S IS supposed to be a fleshed out story, and while I know I AM leaving sims 4 behind, completely limiting what I can and cannot make story-wise (just cuz I don't know how to make scenes and stuff lmao), I will ATTEMPT to make W.A.S content, I will still make and post the Official teaser, and I'll probably introduce the characters myself sometime after the teaser (I'll take screenshots in CAS and just hope my storage doesn't dip TOO low). I may release some of the story in just text form, as I do really want to continue to post about the story. I'll try to come up with something tho, don't worry :)

I may also start getting back into art, I still need some hobby to preoccupy my time that isn't gaming, I will still do blender stuff (since I have a bunch of my Sims' DAEs) and I will maybe make more edits, but regardless, I still enjoy art and Sims 4 kinda consumed the time that I wanted to spend doing art, soooo yeah.

For the unrooleased tag, I have a bunch of sims that I've never posted, as well as renders that I've never posted, and I may, as Sims 4 filler, post those to fill the void that will become my Sims 4 content

and FINALLY. LAST THING I promise :) I know all of ya'll LOVE Roo, and I do want to reinforce the fact that ROO IS NOT A SIMS CHARACTER, I did NOT make him originally from the Sims, if you were at any point worried I would stop posting about him, I will not be, I will continue to share about Roo, probably with a lot less pictures considering I really only used TS4 as a visual assistant for his story, I do have his DAEs, so I can make SOME Roo blender content, albeit limited with Scenes and stuff. Roo is a character that I will continue to be passionate about, I never mentioned this but I LOVE to make Roo in pretty much every game I play (besides Skyrim................ and ofc games where u dont have customization), like Animal Crossing, I made a variant of Roo there, and in Stardew! You get the point, he will always be a prominent figure of my content. I may also bring back some characters I made from TS4, like Nirvana, I LOVE her character and would LOVE to continue to post about her, as well as Roo's family, I love posting about his family members and sharing their own story and what importance they are to Roo.

WOW, okay that was a lot, if you're skipping here for a clear answer, or a sort of TL:DR, here ya go, I don't want to leave tumblr, so I won't, and I won't necessarily leave the Simblr ring, TS4 is going to be uninstalled, but I WILL preserve my TS4 mods in my external HDD, and be on the look out for the last sim I make in TS4 :)

I just wanted to thank you for making such amazing poses, especially the sick/injured ones. I have a deep love for whump-y sorts of things, and getting to visualize that sort of scene with my OCs in the sims is a lot of fun for me. Your poses of that variety are absolutely the best I've ever seen, and all of your poses are fucking phenomenal, regardless of their theme. You are hands-down my favorite pose creator at the moment.

I'm not sure if your requests are open right now, so if not feel free to ignore this, but I wanted to just float the idea of expanding your "sick child/adult" (I saw you made an adult version for someone in the comments) to have a pose of the rescuer checking the pulse of the unconscious one, that sort of thing. (If you only did it for adults, that would be fine. I understand it's kind of a dark topic especially regarding a child.) If that's not something you're interested in doing that's A-Okay, and I appreciate your hard work regardless! 💖

Hi! Oh my gosh!! First of all, thank you so, SO much for your incredibly kind words. They really made my day. 🥹 I'm so ridiculously happy to hear that my awful angst is beneficial to someone ahahah! Sometimes we just need to put our little darlings in situations and watch them suffer (then get comforted). It's cathartic. 😆

Secondly, yes! My requests are always open, it's just that I'm usually extremely slow at getting round to them, and had been having some trouble figuring out a way to make it easy for people to send requests in the first place. I'll make a master post later but for now here's the link to a Google form where requests can be sent (hopefully I've done it right. Thank you @armoricaroyalty for the fantastic suggestion!). The differences between a request and a commission can be read here (see images).

Thirdly, I made some extra poses for the adult version of that posepack since I happened to have both the time and a functioning brain last night. Unfortunately I then lost my motivation after fiddling (and failing) with the CPR pose, and I can't be bothered to do the promo graphics for it, so here's a mystery SFS link lmao. I may add to it and release properly at a later date, along with the child version.

The pack now contains 10 couple poses for a Sim finding someone on the floor, calling for help, checking for pulse/breathing, and then having a little breakdown as realisation hits. This overwrites the original Sick Adult posepack, so if you have that one, delete it from your Mods folder before adding this version.

Hey there! It is indeed very satisfiying to see CAS organized :O Could you share your process / sorting method? As I understand it I need to group all the stuff toghether in folders first. Do you dress up a sim with for example all your witch hats, search them in your folder and make a category out of it? That's how I thought I would do it but maybe you got a better way to do it :D (and if you want to have the CC sorted by creator do I need specific folders for tops, bottoms and full sets?)

Absolutely.

I dunno if there's an easier process or not, but I can tell you what I did.

I already had my Mods folder organized into folders and sub-folders, so for clothes and hair I just went into the respective folders and made a separate folder within for every creator, sorted alphabetically, then numbered them starting with 001. (In retrospect I should have started at like, 005 or something just to give myself a little wiggle room in case there was something I wanted to add at the top, but oh well.) Most CC has the creator's name in the filename, so that makes sorting it easy.

*** I number 001 instead of 01 or just 1 because when you open up your Mods folder in Sims4Studio to batch fix everything, it'll knock all your folders out of order unless there's three digits. Found that out the hard way. :T

I know the example in the tutorial didn't have their folders numbered and just has the creator name, but I'm not sure how they're managing that? I have all my folders numbered so I know what display index number I'm assigning them. (¤﹏¤) So ClumsyAlien hairs go in Mods -> Hair -> 005 ClumsyAlien, and I know when I batch fix it to set the CAS display index to 5. (And I'll know what to set the display index to for any new ClumsyAlien hairs I download in the future.)

*** On top of having folders for most creators I also have folders titled "A-C," "D-F," etc., for single pieces of CC that don't warrant their own creator folder. It keeps them loosely alphabetized. Like, if I only have a single shirt by Creator A and don't want to make an entire folder just for that, I can stick that shirt in folder A-C instead. The way I have it, I have creator folders at the top -> misc. alphabetical folders below them. So that shirt by Creator A won't be at the top of my CAS catalogue, but it'll be at the start of my "miscellaneous section" beneath all the creator sections.

For hats (or any category where I sort by function instead of creator), I open up a blank Sim in CAS, put whatever CC I want grouped together on them, save, then open them up in Tray Importer and drag all that CC into its own folder. Number the folder and batch fix as usual.

The example in the tutorial had them breaking up clothing by top/bottom/etc., but I don't really see the need for that, so I didn't do it. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

*** When numbering folders/batch fixing, it's probably smarter to do every other number (001, 003, 005) so you can go back and add in more folders later, but I was not smart. :V I've already got a couple new creator folders tacked on at the very bottom, whoops.

It's a long and super tedious process (hence why I'm doing it in batches and not fixing everything at once), but man, it has been so worth it. I only have clothes, hair, hats, glasses, and shoes done so far, but even just having those organized has cut down on my time spent scrolling through CAS searching for a piece of CC.

I'm a bit late lol. While I have been working on writing, a lot of my time has been spent updating my characters outfits, mods and files. A lot.

Lord save me from this hell of my own making

I never really got all of the outfits back together since DT's release, and was sort of just working on them as I go. But that's a lot of heckin' effort when I usually just want to pose. So I'm getting them all set up now, while this is my hyperfixation. I'm also making sure to make Mare files as I go for easy sharing.

Anyway, some of this has lead to new looks!

Laurent has new old man hair (Gale would never let him be less than ~super glamorous~, no matter how much Laurent complains about it)

He also has new Wood Warder hair, but I haven't made an outfit yet lol

Gale/Kris has a new EW outfit. Something meant to work with both BRD and DRK because well. That's how EW goes for him. Please enjoy the lil Torgal in the background.

I honestly still have a lot of files to go (Laurent needs a buncha MSQ outfits, Katerina needs some love, and let's not forget about the AUs) but I've been making some good progress.

Finally I've been going through my zipped folder of pre-DT mods and deleting anything that's been updated. I also pulled a couple out to upgrade, but really, it's just about getting rid of a bunch of stuff I don't need while also pruning the current DT mod list a bit... while also renaming things so I know what they are:

Loading Screen bug/freeze help (possibly?)

Hey guys, so this is in regards to this post that I made a few days ago about loading time issues such as getting stuck in them and having to even reboot the game or wait a long time (no matter how long I've waited, I've always had to reboot).

I didn't expect this to resolve after removing mods (that I try my best to keep fully updated), but I was having issues with the Reaper Rewards thing and decided to bite the bullet and just remove all of my mods, leaving only my CC.

I decided to do this AFTER I repaired my game (but the truth is I've been reparing my game a lot lately -- I think the last time was when I left my old legacy save behind for a new one), but even after doing so last night… I still couldn't get past "planting a lily" without taking out the mods that I did.

Now… which mod did the trick? I really don't know. I know I only had one mod for harvestables/gardening that I took out and it let me progress through to the next tasks of the Reaper Rewards, but I also noticed I was able to change between households in and outside of the same worlds as well as travel to other worlds, and even going in and out of CAS without getting stuck on a loading screen (and having to force quit the game and go back in).

I'm also not sure why these mods that I removed are now suddenly causing a problem. Maybe I don't have every single one of them up to date or something changed from the last couple of updates? Because this issue has been happening to me for over a month or so now.

I wanted to list them though -- and no ill meant towards the modders who make these mods. I 'love' having these mods in my game and I would like to slowly start putting them all back into my game at some point, so long as my game works the way I want it to.

And of course if I start having the same issues again without these mods being in my game, I will report back to let everybody know.

I'm tagging @simplycrickets as they were/are having the same issues with the loading screens and I mentioned I would tag them in this post to see if some of the mods I use are the same mods they use.

First things first, I use A LOT of mods by "Sims 4 Me" (Bienchens) and the only thing that I removed was her "Traits Overall Mod" so you won't see it screenshot in this least.

Also not screenshot was "thepancake1-LimpingWalkstyle_v1a because it couldn't fit into the image.

I also don't always play with my pose folder in (especially now that I've just been getting more into using animations since they're quicker for me to grab shots I need on the fly, so I don't think any of the many poses I have were in my save for several months now.)

Anyway, hopefully this thread provides some sort of help if you use some of these mods and like I said I will report back if I narrow it down or if the game issues just resolve.

I'm noticing all of this in my legacy save hence why I moved it to a new one. I haven't been in any of my other saves for awhile to see if I am getting stuck on loading screens and as I've said, this wasn't happening at all until suddenly.

Y'all. I did something so incredibly just, typical inattentive levels of ridiculous. I accidentally deleted my subfolder with all of my up-to-date mods. Since I wasn't really messing with those, I didn't think to back it up like I did with all my CC.

I really get into it re: mental health and while I'm really trying not to be so hard on myself, this set me back somewhat.

It was when I was doing the standard clear all the caches pre-loading-game fare. I must not have realized it was highlighted. I always empty my recycling bin after I do that, just a force of habit that I can trace back to the days I played Sims 3.

I tried to use Windows Recovery, and my last saved PC backup was right when I got sick, in early January. So I know which mods I have to download, but they all need to be updated.

Not all hope is lost. It would have been slightly worse if it were my CC or a saves folder or something. But this has already taken me like 4 entire days of hyperfocus and I just added like 2 hours of busy work because WHY NOT.

I really don't mind being ADHD most of the time. The diagnosis really helped me figure out a lot of important stuff about myself and gave me tools to be more successful with things I previously struggled with a lot. Unfortunately, I've been without my ADHD meds siiiince late January because of the stimulant/ADHD meds shortage that is somehow still a thing.

And when I do finally get them, I'm probably going to need to wait another month and a half for them to kick in. Apparently, a pharmacy a couple of miles from me is getting some in tomorrow so I can go and get it then so this added to it. Plus since I'm in a stage where I'm sort of just doing the same thing over and over again, it's easy to be in autopilot.

Anyways, I'm totally fine now. Got more of an all-business-no-goofin'-back-to-work vibe going on.

Okay so I’m now obsessed with your ultimate decade’s challenge and really wanna try it myself! Drop the mods folder, seriously I love how immersive your sims world is. Also any advice for getting started and staying motivated?

I'm sorry this response is so late, but thank you so much! All the mods I used to start out are listed on my pinned. If you see a specific mod that you like and can't find in my tags, feel free to ask, and I'll pull it up next time I'm in-game.

Also, I think my biggest piece of advice is, just do what makes YOU happy and go with the flow.

When it comes to mechanics like setting up a save, try not to stress yourself out. I honestly just started with an empty save, made the the Rolfe parents and gave them three kids to start off. I downloaded a few builds from the gallery, like a bathhouse, tavern, castle, etc. and looked for a few medieval families as well, but I didn't fill up the neighborhood because I knew I'd just be working from the ground up. You also don't HAVE to have a castle and royal family - I just really wanted to try out the Royalty mod! You can also make your own builds and families, but I generally don't have the patience, lmao! There are people who like to make sure their saves are 100000% ready to start like aesthetics, accurate builds, etc, and that's fine and amazing! I'm just a little less patient with setup and decided to take things as they came and focus on the main family gameplay over the aesthetics (because I'm lazy).

When it comes to legacy challenges, most have a formula for you to follow and it can get easy to get stuck in the routine of it. I love challenges because they give me a good to-do list and keep me invested in the game, but I really like to sort of come up with reasons as to why my sims do certain things so that I'm invested in the story as well. The Ultimate Decades Challenge differs from other challenges in that, it doesn't really have a specific formula like aspirations and goals. The death rolls make things interesting, and so do the events, but these can take several sim days and therefore, there's the risk of losing interest because you're just waiting for your sim to age up or have babies.

I think the best way to tackle this challenge is to come up with a story and figure out what your sims' motives are. This never has to be immediate. I kind of figure out the bare bones stuff and decide on things as they happen and build up the story from there (I wasn't planning on having Aemma meet Cassian, but alas, it happened, and we had a whole THING based on that dynamic). Sometimes the sims themselves do something wild and I'll take that and run with it (i.e. Aemma getting attacked by the tax guy). I didn't intend on making Cassian such a jerk, but since he was acting up right after marrying Joan, I said oh well! My goal has always been to just have my heirs and get through each year, but everything just falls into place, because if I tried to plan every step, then I'd stress myself out!

Historical accuracy is a big part of what makes this challenge so different from modern gameplay, but don't feel tethered to it. The Sims has limitations and there's only so much cc and mods can do. I didn't expect to have a supernatural storyline in mine, but when I saw an opportunity for it, I just said screw it, and that's pretty much my motto when I play UDC. I prefer to stick to the rules of the challenge as far as the doc is concerned, and I love history so I do like to listen to podcasts and videos for research, but the rest is really up to what makes gameplay convenient and fun for me. I don't feel compelled to stress over every single inaccuracy present in my game (and there are many) because then I won't really have fun with it. Some people hate that, and some people don't mind, but it's your game at the end of the day.

The SPREADSHEET is a lifesaver. I'm all over the place and need things visually laid out for me, so I actually have a lot of fun (weird) updating the spreadsheet. It's also how I keep up with this growing family, since I usually refer to what comes next visually to figure out what I'm going to focus on in the next episode. I've also updated/added stuff to that spreadsheet that works best for me, and I know other UDC simmers have done the same with their own.

Finally, give yourself a little grace. I can't speak on motivation because I go through bouts where I lack it, and I used to kick myself whenever I wasn't able to fulfill a goal. I ended up on a five month hiatus for MANY reasons, but it had nothing to do with my love for the game. If it wasn't for all the outside factors, I think I would have still been very motivated to continue my usual schedule, but even if I wasn't, that's okay. I work a stressful job that takes a lot out of me and sometimes I just don't want to record or do much of anything, but I knew I'd get back to it eventually, and I know there are people who understand that.
