sneak peak of another ref sheet i'm working on - RICKY. werewolf-vampire cow and bounty hunter extraordinaire. i don't think i've ever posted ricky to any of my art blogs officially - i could never get her to look how i wanted her to, took a long time to find a way to stylise her as i wanted. and i was always agonising over if i wanted her to be more humanoid or anthro in proportions. but it's her time now, baby.....perhaps. i loooove her so much

I've been trying my best to post an art piece every week. I intended to post a different drawing yesterday, but I wasn't able to finish it in time. I needed to draw something smaller & quicker since my self-imposed deadline was getting too close! I didn't have any WIP headshots I could finish instead & the poll I posted last week hadn't closed yet. I couldn't see the results before the end date without voting myself, which I didn't want to do.. so I resorted to using a random number generator to help me decide which of my art ideas to use for this headshot!

I ended up not being able to finish THIS on time either, whoops. now that the poll is over, I see that Zhihao didn't get any votes.. but this is the only thing I could post today anyway! really, when it comes to deciding what to draw next, I do prefer taking your input over a random number generator. I will be using the poll results to help me decide how to prioritize my art ideas in the coming months! I'll make a more detailed follow-up post to the poll later because I'm super sleepy right now! if you voted, thank you ^w^ I really appreciate your input!

fnaf oc thats just click from between the lions and all it does is bite the fuck out of the security guards hand when youre forced by the game to do some useless company mandated paperwork thats on a timer on the office computer and make a shitty noise jumpscare you can mostly ignore, but it IS annoying and you will die as consequences of it a couple times like balloon boy/the music box

YES OFCOURSE THANK YOU FOR ASKING…

the original idea came from a stupid joke about “werewolves??wherewolves??" and then, naturally, the thought "what about the who/what/how/why/whenwolves" and it just sorta spiralled from there.. basically they can manipulate time— speed it up, slow it down— except that by doing so, they lose an equivalent amount of time to the Wolf. obviously this is a pretty useful power in times of disasters (fires/floods/etc) so they're pretty well respected within Necropolis [genericishfantasycity where the story was gonna b set] and they take this very seriously. the main body of whenwolves there lives in an great clocktower of the city and its grounds, but there are various other whenwolves scattered throughout the city. the actual clockface is perpetually stuck at 6:30 but the wolves ring the hours and warnings pretty reliably (they have a sort of.. passive weirdfield around time and therefore clocks even when they aren't doing anything. if you have coffee with them leave your fancy watch at home it will be slow forever.) they take this power extremely seriously both because of how powerful it is but also because becoming the Wolf is painful and scary as hell. (in a way similar to many werewolves in fiction and also as an allegory for Things) you are the wolf, but also the wolf is not you. you can't ever truly steer it, only try to command it or deny it, which only makes it wilder. combined with the responsibility of a great power you get just. a group of the absolute worstest self-denying martyrs to ever look at a watch. and i love them vary much <3

OK SOOOO RANDOM FACTS !!!

when laurie was suuuper young, she was that one kid who spent all recess in the grass making mud potions and daisy chains and whatnot

yk that leather coat laurie has in this drawing i did of her? WELL ! that coat was actually her DAD'S !! she just saw it, thought it looked sick, stole it, and pretended like she had NO IDEA where it went

also at first i was like "haha bilingual french-canadian laurie" as a joke bcs i have french-canadian family and i thought it would be hilarious to see laurie absolutely DESTROY someone with quebecois swears, but it actually turned into something semi-important to her backstory sooo (that still counts though, right?)

as for jocelyn, i still feel like shes kinda undeveloped lore/character-wise compared to laurie, BUT i like to imagine she REALLY needed glasses as a child, but being raised the way she was (by rich parents who really cared about their presentation and aesthetics and keeping up that illusion of the "perfect american family" by the 60s standards yadda yadda yadda) SHE NEVER GOT ANY !! so as soon as she left for college she got herself some glasses (hooray!)

AS FOR WHAT THEYRE DOING BEFORE THE SHOW TAKES PLACE

i cant spoil TOO much because eventually i wanna turn some stuff into comics or drawings or smth

however

what i can say is that laurie is living alone on the outskirts of gravity falls, quietly living her life, while jocelyn seems to be completely out of the picture... i wonder what happened...

Made a witch oc for the witch’s castle because I have once again been overcome by a disease called bad bitch attraction. This is the bog witch, she lives in a bog (go figure) but instead of making cookies she makes bread creatures. She’s not much for talking and she doesn’t have to talk anyways since she lives in the middle of a bog but she will still attend witch gatherings if she’s invited. But she’s not very fond of the idea of eating sentient pastries I can’t imagine why. Anyways here’s her bread baby whom she loves so very much

Thank you so much!! I've been really proud of the work I've been doing recently and this year in general has been great for me creatively. I've been moving into making bigger creative projects, actually telling stories, and it's just been so so fun!

I'm making games of course, but I've also been developing a horror podcast story which has been really gripping my headspace recently :)c

Anyway, a thank you to everyone who's hung out and enjoyed my work or supported me! Stuff is more sparse artwise since I'm working on these big projects, but I hope I make y'all proud with my work! 💪
