Headcanon: Kirby hugs everyone

Kirby is a very huggy boi. He loves giving hugs.

Pretty much anyone that is Kirby's friend is going to get hugs from him.

Hugs is one of Kirby's ways to try to provide comfort for someone. He's not good with words of encouragement as he's kind of nonverbal a lot of the time anyways. He'll give you a hug to try to make you feel better, and he also does it just to make you appreciated and cared about, since he wants that for pretty much everyone more or less.

Generally, this works out very well. Even people such as Meta Knight, Magolor, and Daroach that generally aren't huggers on their own are glad to accept hugs from Kirby. It's the least they can do after how lovable and endearing he is, and after everything he's done as a hero.

Every dream friend has received hugs from Kirby. Even Dark Meta Knight, who is generally the most reluctant out of them to accept a hug, has relented to Kirby hugs. Nobody can deny Kirby his hugs.

A lot of Kirby's friends love to return the favor and give him hugs! The most prominent examples of this are King Dedede, Adeleine, Ribbon and the animal friends. Out of the animal friends, Rick, Nago and ChuChu are the most happy to have hugs with Kirby any time. Nago in particular is just a straight up cuddlebug, he's a big hugger too!

ChuChu, Kine and Gooey may not have great skin texture for hugs, but does Kirby care? No. He gives them hugs anyways! Even though Kine and Gooey aren't able to hug back, it's not like they care, they enjoy getting hug by Kirby regardless! They appreciate him so much.

Marx rarely gets hugs in his life. Generally, he doesn't really care for hugs. That being said, Kirby has given him hugs... and he appreciates it! There's a part of Marx that does think it's rather amusing that Kirby chooses to give him hugs considering what happened between the two before, but he figures that the least he can do is accept those hugs! Kirby caught him by surprise one time by hugging him while he was bouncing on his beach ball, which then caused him to fall.. Marx ended up laughing after that because Kirby sure got him there!

The mage sisters normally aren't suited for hugs considering their elements cover their bodies (i.e. Francisca feels icy to touch, Flamberge feels very fiery hot to touch) but I headcanon that they're capable of turning off the elements inside their bodies to where they're capable of giving hugs. And they do that for when Kirby asks to give them hugs. They love hugging with Kirby! They owe it to him after he saved them and Hyness, who likes to hug him as well!

Out of all of Kirby's friends, though, the two that are definitely most needing and deserving of hugs are Taranza and Susie, considering the things that have happened in their lives. After Kirby reconciled with them, he's sometimes been going out of his way to act as emotional support for them. He's made sure to give them both tons of hugs... their grief makes him sad and he wants to them to still feel cared about and appreciated despite losing the people they loved.

Taranza needs hugs for obvious reasons. Dude is just heartbroken from all the things that happened to him. He's so grateful to Kirby whenever he gives him hugs, it often makes him cry happily. Kirby is effective at acting like an emotional support dog for him sometimes.

Susie has gone a very long time without any hugs. When she got banished to Another Dimension, she didn't have anyone that she could've given hugs to, and when she finally returned to her mind-controlled father that forgot her existence, he refused to accept hugs from her... tragic. The first hug that she's gotten ever since the Another Dimension incident was from Kirby when they reconciled.

Because Susie went so long without hugs, it's made her not used to physical affection for the most part. When Kirby hugged her the first few times, it made her flabbergasted, and it even made her cry when she tried figuring out how to respond to it. But eventually as she got more used to it, she really likes Kirby's hugs! Even if she's still not really one for physical affection otherwise, she's glad to have hugs with Kirby any time... she's grateful for it, as it's indeed helpful for her.

That's basically all I have for this post! As this post highly establishes, I headcanon that Kirby loves giving hugs, and will give a lot of hugs to those that need it. It doesn't really get more huggable than Kirby.

Kirby is such a softie. He has so much love and care in his heart. He cares so, so much. Whenever he befriends someone, he's going to act like a real friend to them. He might not talk very often, but it usually doesn't even matter because of how endearing he is. He wants his friends to feel cared about and appreciated, and giving them hugs is probably his best method of making them feel cared about.

my mom might not entirely get the concept of aroace even though she is one but at least she got the spirit! :D

From the last post about me coming out to my mom about me being aroace, she also found out she was aroace.

As she had a "eh whatever" or "oh ok, moving on" kinda reaction. I think she hasn't fully rapped around the whole concept of aroace.

Man. So many characters in these games have major abandonment issues.

Flowey with "nobody came", which the Echo Flower dialogue confirms is him speaking from experience, feeling like Toriel forgot all about him, or worse, was glad to be rid of him.

Spade King saying the Lightners left the Darkners behind and forgot all about them.

Jevil being locked up and having no one to play with.

Spamton saying he was left to rot at the bottom of a dumpster.

Susie telling Kris in the "New Girl" post that someday someone would take Kris away and Toriel would forget all about them, or even be glad to be rid of them. Susie is definitely transferring her experiences onto Kris.

We don't know what Kris said to Susie in "New Girl", but one theory is "I know," or "Good." While this is only a fan theory (and one I don't agree with), it is worth noting that "...but nobody came" also appears in Snowgrave Spamton Neo whenever Kris calls for help.

Gaster was lost in the void, shattered across space and time. And now no one remembers him, except for his followers, who can't even speak about him directly without fear. (I'm including Jevil and Spamton as Gaster followers- they certainly came in contact with him.) This is just my own headcanon, but I often imagine Gaster waking up in the void, and his first thoughts being, "Where am I? It's so dark, and so cold," screaming, crying, begging for help... but nobody came.

For each of these characters, even if the exact dialogue isn't used, they all have an aura about them of "...but nobody came." All of them have at some point felt alone, trapped, and helpless, and nobody came to their rescue. Granted, this hasn't been positively confirmed for Susie, but given that she almost quotes Flowey when she screams at Kris, it's easy to deduce that she also had a "...but nobody came" time in her life.

And so many other characters face rejection or abandonment, as well. Toriel divorced Asgore in both timelines, leaving him desperate to see his children and his wife again. Shyren lost her voice when Shyra fell down. Maddie and Mettaton both ran off to fuse with their own bodies, leaving Napstablook alone. No one can remember Ruins Dummy's name. Mettaton was Alphys' friend until he became a big... heh, sorry, I almost said "big shot" (fitting, tho, isn't it?). So Alphys felt abandoned until she met Undyne... and then if you kill Undyne, Alphys disappears, apparently having committed suicide. Snowy left home because his mother fell down and his father hated his jokes, so Snowy felt abandoned. Ralsei is described as "the lonely prince." All of the Darkners feel abandoned by the Lightners. Queen divorced Spade King because he neglected her. Spade King pushes Lancer away- or, possibly, outright abuses him- so Lancer calls Rouxls his "Lesser Dad," even though Rouxls largely pushes him away, as well. Papyrus...

Papyrus...

"Forgettable." Still striving for a double-digit follower count on Undernet. Can't get into the Royal Guard. Works himself to the bone but can't get any recognition, much less a friend. May have "left home due to happiness." And most important, has a brother who is willing to avenge his death.

Everyone loves Papyrus. Everyone knows his name. More people talk about Papyrus than about his brother. holidaygirl1225 is asking everyone if they know how to find his egg again. Undyne is Papyrus' best friend. Alphys thinks his posts on Undernet are hilarious. The biggest differences in the ending for neutral runs fixate on whether you spared him or killed him. He even becomes king if he's the only one left alive. Why does Chara call him "Forgettable"? Why does he not think he has any friends? It's honestly a bit like Susie saying, "Why would anybody really wanna be my friend, anyway?" Except that he never lets himself say exactly that- but his whole attitude of "I can't make any friends, I have to work hard for people to like me" says it all.

It's like he does have an abandonment issue, but he's not giving in to it. Did he... Was he... was sans the only one who ever came when he called? Is that why these two are inseparable?

Much as I would like to leave this essay on this dramatic note about everyone's favorite skeleton, I also want to mention Dess. Most people believe that Dess is the one singing, "Don't forget, I'm with you in the dark." This feels like the exact opposite of "...but nobody came." How is she holding onto hope? Even though a lot of people miss her, nobody's looking for her anymore. They've all moved on. All except... her sister. Can Dess see Noelle searching for her? Who exactly is with Dess in the dark, anyway? The player, I presume, but could it be someone else?

* Susie is... not the best with expressing how she feels. This isn't some NEW discovery. Anybody who knows her below the surface level knows that. So, when she started to feel all light and fuzzy inside around you, she didn't know how to tell you. In her mind, it was probably better that way anyway. I mean, she doesn't exactly have the best reputation in school or in general. Not to mention, there's no way in hell that anyone could love her like that. Right?

* Well..

* Even though it's painfully obvious to everyone around you two that you like her, she is absolutely oblivious to any romantic advance you make on her. It's not necessarily that she's dumb, she just doesn't see it with you. She could tell if two people liked each other easily, but if that person's her? Nah, not happening.

* She's tough for sure; not really letting anyone see the non-punchy-I-want-to-kick-everyone's-ass-24/7 side. With you, though? She can let her guard down, just a little. That's something about you that she's always liked. The way she can be more of herself around you like it's nothing. What the hell were you thinking, being so.. cool.. and funny.. and pretty.. and smart.. and just.. so you??? Yeah, what were you thinking, nerd???

* You aren't stupid. You see the way she looks at you from time to time; like she's entranced by what you say, what you do, or just.. you all around. You just didn't think it was true. 'Maybe she's just a little tired today, or maybe she just spaced out for a bit?' Yeah, no. She's just admiring you and the way you do pretty much everything.

* In the dark world, it was pretty hard for the !?!? Squad to not have to pull you two away from each other; you were almost always talking, or messing around, or unknowingly flirting. (Despite how bad Susie is with it)

* Oh boy, was it hard for you not to get absolutely absorbed with her there. It was hard anyway, but in the dark world? Oh honey sweetie darling gravy, do you have a big storm coming. The way her messy hair flowed as she walked, her big cocky grin, how her outfit just made her look 10× more badass.. man. Kris was surprised you didn't, like, make out with her right then and there (though they'd like to not see that but would be happy for you two nonetheless).

* Speaking of which, Kris is a wingman to you two, basically. With how silent and off-putting they are sometimes, they're surprisingly good with quietly getting you two alone, much to Ralsei's confusion.

* Susie didn't know how to react when she saw you in your dark world form. As she would put it: "(WHY THE HELL DO THEY LOOK SO.. PRETTY??? AND REALLY FUCKING SICK LOOKING???) What, you trying to one-up me or something? MY BADASSERY CAN'T BE MATCHED, SO SUCK IT!" She says, in the most non serious way ever. You rolled your eyes as you looked away, your cheeks turning a faint hue of pink. She thought it was cute but assumed it was just the lighting.

* She'll always stand closer up to you than the others will. She likes being near you, no duh, but she also just wants a good look at you whenever she does something particularly flashy to see if you're impressed, or see your reactions to things she says. (She's HILARIOUS)

* Susie is protective of you for sure, but you never really take notice unless someone says something to you to your face.

"You wanna repeat that, dipshit?" And oh how she loved watching the color drain from their face as they realized who was behind them.

"Say anything like that again, and I'll rip you to shreds, you got that, freak?"

* the few times you got to see that happen, you couldn't say you didn't feel butterflies all around. She wanted to protect you? Gosh, she cared that much? You could definitely take care of yourself, but seeing her do that for you made you fall for her a little more those days.

* When she eventually did confess to you, it was.. less than graceful. Kris and Ralsei had pressured her to do it, since they knew it would get no where with how oblivious you two were to each others affection. She took you behind the school, where no prying eyes would see (Kris) and fumbled on her words.

"Hey.. so um.." she started, trailing off. Damn.. when the hell was she this nervous? "Y-yeah? What did you want to talk to me about?" You ushered. She fiddled with her hands and put an arm on her neck. She paused before eventually starting. "Okay, listen. I just wanted to say that I think you're really cool and was wondering if y-you're free tomorrow..? Maybe we can go to QC's orsomethingidontknow..." She very quickly spat out. "Oh! Yeah, sure, is there any particular reason why? I think you're a pretty nice person too!" You smiled, a blush on your face. (God dammit.. she didn't pick up what I meant?? And UGH, WHY DO THEY HAVE TO LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT..????) She thought. Her face was definitely painted in confusion. Then, it turned to frustration. She grabbed your shoulders tight and shook you up, yelling through her sharp teeth. "COULD YOU SERIOUSLY NOT TELL WHAT I'M SAYING??? ARE YOU STUPID??? DEAF?? SUFFERING BRAIN DAMAGE OR SOMETHING??? IM SAYING THAT I WANT TO DATE YOU, DUMBASS!" She released you from her hold, and you had to take a second to compose yourself after being shook so violently, but also to process. "Oh."

...

"OH!!??" Susie crossed her arms and looked down, her hair covering her eyes, hiding her expression. She thought that meant you didn't like her back, and was fully prepared to go back to being the edgy, angry person she once was.

"H..huh!?"

Her thoughts were cut off by a warmth she hadn't felt in a while. She looked towards you, and you were.. hugging her? "HEYWHATAREYOUDOING?" She jumped back, surprised, her eyes wide. You stood still a moment and laughed. You covered your mouth and laughed. "UM? WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE LAUGHING AT?" She asked loudly, and you reduced your laughter to giggles. "I'm sorry.. I just.. that was so.. cute!" You looked at her in a way that made her heart pound through her chest. "Cute?" She chuckled, "who do YOU think you're calling cute? Is it in the room with us now??" She smirked, joking around. All the tension in Susie's body left. You wiped away tears from your eyes from how hard you were laughing together. "Yeah, actually. Might have to use my top of the notch detective skills for this one, but I think it's right..." You trailed your finger around the environment, slowly moving it up to point at Susie. "Here!" You pressed her nose, she smiled, her eyes widen again. "Ooh, come here you little-!" She grabbed your neck with her arms and rubbed her knuckles on your head, giving you a nookie and messing up your hair. "Susie!" You yelled. You were content in this moment. It's like nothing mattered. Susie was, too. I mean, who wouldn't be? They were both with the girls of their dreams, and nothing could take away from this moment.

Snap!

You two stopped the tomfoolery and looked to the side, seeing Kris with a Polaroid camera, snickering to themselves. Susie glared at them hard before screaming: "KRIS, I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL KILL YOU, GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE NOW!" and booked it to chase Kris. (They're a goner), you thought, shaking your head, smiling. You looked to the sky and sighed. (Wow, I'm really dating Susie now, huh? How'd that happen?)

Eventually, you ran into Susie again after her rampage against Kris.

"Hey, Susie?" "U-uh, yeah?" "Yes, I'm free tomorrow. How about the park instead?" You got a little more confident than usual and kissed her on the cheek, quickly losing that confidence and speed walking away. She was stunned for a second. (Did.. did they really just..?) She thought to herself before giving her classic toothy grin. In the distance, you heard her say, "Yeah, sounds great."

Your heart was beating so loudly, and so was hers. All Susie could think was: (Did I actually score the best person in town? Man.. never thought I'd get this lucky.)

With that, you went your separate ways, preparing for the next day eagerly.

* From then on out, you two became the strongest power couple the world has ever seen. And Susie made sure everyone knew it. She'd definitely rub it in people's faces (specifically to everyone she knew had a crush on you too) just to piss people off. Don't get it wrong though, she's showing you off regardless.

* "You see her? Yeah? That's my girlfriend, actually, AND YOU CANT HAVE HER, LOSER!" and she'd run away laughing.

* If you ever got hurt by someone elses hand, oh boy. They are IN for it.

"Who."

"W-what..?"

"WHO. DID THIS. TO YOU?"

She wouldn't kill them, yet. She'd give them a world of pain though. And if they pull the same stunt again? Yeah, they're as good as gone. Luckily, everyone in the dark world after that encounter with Susie stayed far away from you. Or if they didn't, they'd treat you surprisingly well. However, her first priority of course, would be making sure you're okay. She'd call Ralsei for help, or attempt to patch you up herself if he wasn't there. She constantly would repeat "I'm sorry." Or "I'm such an idiot!"

* In her mind, you're one of the only things in her life that cares for her, and she'll be damned if anyone has the gull to take you from her.

* Playing off of that, she'll do anything in her power to make you happy, even if it seems like she hates it. She doesn't want to lose you, and she just wants to be enough for you.

* She doesn't know how to compliment people well, so expect things to be said that don't entirely make sense. "You have a nice face." Or just a simple "You're cool." You know she means well and wants to say something poetic, but honestly, her actions speak everything she can't.

* For example, she's a big gift giver, but not in the traditional sense? She's broke, so gifts would usually come in the form of random leaves, a cool stick that looks like a sword, or things that have been stolen. A lot of the time, she'll show up to school early to place these little trinkets on your desk for you to find. She'll sit and wait for you to arrive and she thrives on seeing your face when she gets something for you.

"Susie, did you get this for me?" You say, with a big smile.

"What? Me? Pssh, nah.

..maybe," Susie mumbles, averting her eyes and tail (that she DEFINITELY doesn't have) wagging.

* She's not HUGE on PDA; however, she's not opposed holding hands. Hugging and quick pecks on the cheek are typically reserved for every now and again. She loves it when it happens, though. Susie tenses up every time, and a dumb grin creeps on her face that she tries to hide with a cough.

"(Coughs) huh? What? Yeah, just got something stuck in my throat. Uh huh. Totally..!"

Once you two are in private, she's all over you! Susie may be rude and crude on the outside, but man, is she a big ol' teddy bear on the inside. She isn't used to affection at all due to her home life being.. not exactly the best, so typically, you'll have to initiate hugs, cuddling, etc.

If you've been giving her kisses in public, as soon as you're alone, she's basically attacking your face with them.

Cuddling is something she loves for sure. She just loves holding something, especially since that thing is you. If you told her she'd be this much of a softie around someone, say, a 5 months ago, she'd laugh in your face and spit on your shoes. Now? She wouldn't have it any other way. It isn't like she'll admit that, though. She'd definitely say something like: "I mean, if you're gonna MAKE me, I guess I'll have to."

"Hun, literally no one is making you."

* Not one for pet names, but will definitely call you 'babe' in the most Douchebag way possible. She does love when you give her nicknames though. Her favorites are Hun, Honey, love, or my lovely. She's a simple gal.

* You two are basically the aunts of Lancer. Good friends, but also aunts. Lancer literally loves you, how could he not? He thinks you're really cool and will tell you as such.

"Hohoho! Hey Y/n, did I ever tell you how awesome you are?"

"Aw, no? Thank you though!"

"Of course! You're in my top five! Just below Third dad and Susie!"

"...thanks?"

Susie laughed hard about that and will not stop teasing you about it.

* If you ever went on dates in Home Town, Lancer would definitely be there by Susie's side.

"What? He's my emotional support guy!"

"Hohoho! I'm a third wheel!"

* A relationship with Susie would never get dull, and she'll make sure of it intentionally or not. She's a lot to handle, but somehow, you've stuck around through it all. She couldn't thank you enough for it. Despite everything she's been through and is still dealing with, she never once took you for granted. She might act all high and mighty, but she hurts. Somehow, you've effortlessly made that pain more tolerable, as she knows she has someone's shoulder to lean on when she's down about her situation. She loves you more than any amount of chalk or moss in the world, and she's not afraid to (attempt to) tell you.

"Listen, you know I'm not good at all of this mushy gushy crap, but I just gotta tell you straight up. Thank you, for everything. You mean a lot to me, you know? I couldn't ask for anyone better, I hope you know that. No matter what dumbass thing I say, or how much of an idiot I act, I'll never stop appreciating what you do. Thank you. Seriously, I mean it. Frank Morrison / The Legion:

Frank was an only child, so he doesn’t quite know what to do with a sibling now that he has someone who resembles one. It doesn’t completely stop him in his tracks, he’s still as lively and casual as he always is, he just isn’t sure how to spend time with you alone. His hobbies aren’t exactly normal. He does appreciate your willingness to spend time with him anyways.

He’ll give you an attitude sometimes, he’s just like that and isn’t used to having a strong, responsible role model in his life and doesn’t really know what to do. So he lashes out occasionally, but he never means it and always apologizes. He gets more comfortable with you eventually, and this kind of behavior fizzles out.

Julie Kostenko / The Legion:

Julie is used to being the eldest sibling, so she’s immediately drawn to you because she feels the same vibes come off of you. She always discusses the histories of the other members with you, and tells you she hopes you’ll be a good influence on them. Frank may have been the leader, but Julie has always been more concerned with watching out for them.

She loves hanging out with you, she feels very close to you and appreciates having someone to share the responsibility of looking out for everyone else. You quickly become a very important person to her, someone to turn to when she’s stressed or upset or needs help. She is incredibly grateful for you.

Susie Lavoie / The Legion:

Susie completely adores you. She misses her siblings from the world before, and while she knows she could never replace them, you fill that void in her heart. She follows you around a lot, always hugging close to you and excitedly chattering with you. She feels like she has another person to talk to, and talk she does. She loves having another person to talk to.

She loves finding matching clothes or accessories for the two of you. Even though it may not be your style, she thinks it’s a fun way to display your bond so others can know you’re siblings, and so you two can feel close whenever you’re not together.

Joey / The Legion:

Joey was already a youngest sibling, he disdains the thought of being one again. He’s an equal to the rest of the Legion and may feel threatened around you at first, being stiff and a bit hostile. But his friends get him more used to you, and he stops seeing you as a threat to his role in the group. He finds that he enjoys having an older sibling again.

He begins seeing you as more of a comforting, soothing presence in his life. Joey is very high-strung and finds it difficult to calm down sometimes, but you help him. He’s never had that in a person before, and while he may not often thank you for it, he is very grateful for how much you help him.

I feel the point of a Top 10 list is to MAKE you narrow down your choices and that changing the rules is a cheat but I quickly found while writing I had divided this list into "deserves" a hug and "NEEDS" a hug. So you get two lists. Plus a bonus 3rd one.

Bandanna Waddle Dee Bandanna Waddle Dee always works so hard: studying, training, doing his best to both keep up with Dream Land's more bombastic residents and be representative of the Waddle Dees at the same time! That's a lot and yet, somehow Waddle Dee manages it!

Sillydillo Okay, well, not so much a hug but a pat on the head? The artistic armadillo needs acknowledgement either way. No one understands you, Sillydillo, and it's hard to say if you understand anyone/anything yourself, but I've never seen someone so enthusiastic about Doing Their Best! Shine on, you crazy diamond! Keep dancing to the beat only you can hear! You're perfect just as is!

Prince Fluff You did it! You got the magic yarn! This little prince has never been anything but flawless. Always generous and understanding with Kirby, even when Kirby has no idea how things work in yarn world. Plus like, he or an ancestor may have some kind of wild planet-saving backstory according to those cave paintings, so yes, Prince Fluff definitely deserves a hug for all that!

Adeleine It doesn't really matter if Adeleine has a traumatic backstory related to the destruction of Earth or not. The simple fact is, she canonically has ONE hit point and yet she's always ready to use it coming to the aid of her friends. Do you ever think she gets tired of painting food and refrigerators? Does she complain? No! She's just that sweet.

Gooey Gooey, you may not know what you have done to deserve a hug but you deserve a hug nonetheless. You're a wonderful gooey little miracle. You taught us that even the epitome of darkness and negativity is not incapable of becoming a friend. Good Gooey!

Rick I often consider Rick to be the leader/papa of the Animal Friends, and for staying devotedly by Kirby's side, helping him out whenever there is need (and as a married man, too!) Rick absolutely deserves a hug. He's been nothing but good and wholesome for over 25 years! (Ignore the gag manga.) I've said this before and I will say this again but Meta Knight as Kirby's dad? King Dedede as Kirby's dad? ...If that's your preference, but for me, it will always be hamster dad.

Susie I know people are going to argue forever about that Star Allies blurb and whether it's translated correctly or not or whether an alternate translation absolves her of her sins etc but sometimes, to deserve a hug, you just need to have survived a really goddawful time. And that's what earns Susie a place on my "C'mere!" list. She probably deserves a blanket and a warm cup of cocoa too.

King Dedede Not to be outdone by his own Waddle Dees, King Dedede has been working hard almost from the very beginning. Sure, he falls off the wagon sometimes, but when the chips are down, he's always trying to find some way (flawed or not) to make things right. Lazing around?! Never! He's recovering from his heroic sacrifice! Come on and get a hug, big guy! I hope it helps you feel like a hero!

Magolor ...He's going to say he doesn't and even after you deliver the hug, he'll probably playfully question your sanity and try to move the conversation on to getting you and all your friends a Merry Magoland season pass, but inside? He's wibbling like a small animal you rescued from the rain. He knows what he did, the good and the bad, and SOMETHING in him hopes... he really might just deserve this.

[Top 10 Kirby Characters Who NEED A Hug]

Taranza I don't like to woobify Taranza as much as others do. If you dig right down into it, he was basically��Queen Sectonia's assassin, irregardless of his turning on her. The reason why Susie is on the "deserves" list and Taranza is on the "needs" list is honestly due to a bunch of what I see as subtle differences with the ways they're processing their own trauma and their responses after the fact.

Pres. Haltmann ...Not because he has particularly done anything to deserve it in recent memory ("memory" being the key word, hint hint) but because little Susie's disappearance was clearly the last time he ever got one. And that's a long time to go without a hug. I think I've mentioned this before, but you can sort of see in the way he laughs during his fight that he was probably a REALLY loving dad. I can't help but feel sorry for everything that happened to him. ...But also, if you're into petty vengeance, you could also do your best to crumple his fancy pressed suit while you're giving him that hug! ^_-

Dark Matter Poor Dark Matter has no friends and no idea how to even ask for them. Dark Matter invaded a whole planet because they were jealous that they couldn't have the fun everyone down on the surface was. (Zero probably forced them to do it also but...) And the result of this invasion was to be destroyed without ever experiencing joy or friendship. Depending on how you read DL3, their story only got worse from their! Dark Matter CLEARLY needs a hug!

Elfilin Quite possibly Elfy deserves a hug as well, but more than anything, he NEEDs a hug. Did you see how traumatized the poor dear was by the end of final fight? It's going to be okay, Elfy... The bonus of hugging Elfilin is that, post-game, you're sort of giving Elfilis a hug too only a) Eliflis won't try to kill you or melt your brain while you do it and b) it might actually have meaning for them now and even contribution to the act of untangling centuries(?) of abuse.

Queen of the Fairies She may be clumsy and scatterbrained but you know what? I think she did the best she possibly could. Even panicking, she sent the right fairy for the job! Given that she was soon after possessed by Zero 2 (...i-in her butt? Y-you know what, let's not go there...) she could probably, no, DEFINITELY use a hug after that.

Whispy Woods Has anyone ever asked what Whispy Woods wants?! No! In the RtDL Novel, Whispy didn't even attack because people were NICE to him! Instead of jumping into battle whenever the old arbor wakes up, maybe you ought to try singing it a lullaby? Put a soft blanket around its roots? Water it with a glass of warm milk?! Poor tree gets no love...

Shadow Kirby Shadow Kirby's record of good deeds versus causing trouble is kinda in the gray zone right now (haha, get it...?) so I can't say in good faith that they necessarily deserve a hug, but it's pretty clear the Mirror Dimension is a messy place. Who knows how much things have improved since they took over as hero(?!) I still think that they ought to have a hug just because of the whole Amazing Mirror fiasco.

Marx In storybook canon, Kirby hugging Marx surprised Marx so bad he fell off his ball!! That shows me that Marx has clearly not been hugged enough, and though the mischievous jester has done nothing to deserve it (Nothing! Not EVEN once!) I can't help but think Kirby's got the right idea here! Show the clown some love. If nothing else, it is effective in stopping his pranks for a time!

Zan Partizanne Franny and Berge seem to have always had each other to confide in, but Zan seems like the type to keep her feelings to herself. Even if Hyness WAS in a place to listen (he most definitely wasn't) she would probably consider it sacrilege to burden him with HER concerns! She's better now, as canon has informed us, but that doesn't mean she doesn't need a little something for all the years she had to bear up with the guilt and doubt and fear of her Jamba fellows...

JOEY HEADCANON TIME !!! <3 I don't talk about him enough despite how much I adore him, so this was long overdue ! As per usual, this is just my interpretation of his character n whatnot.

• He loves cosplaying SO much like holy shit !!! He will spend DAYS working on a cosplay of his favorite comic book characters, even if he’ll only wear it once! He just wants to look cool

• Has an extensive collection of comic books, and will show em off to anybody who shows any interest in them whatsoever

• I feel like he’s really good at dancing! It's not something that he does a lot, but boy does he love to do it! He loves to dance with Susie a lot, who isn’t very good herself but she has a super fun time dancing with him

• Has the lowest energy of the group, so though he likes to do a lot of shit and cause trouble, he needs to spend a lot longer recuperating than the other three, whether he’s reading comics alone or just chilling with his friends

• Is a bit more quiet compared to the other three, though he can get VERY loud when he wants (or needs) to be

• Carries a little notebook around in his pocket to write down random ideas he gets

• He LOVES dogs so much!!! Whenever he passes by a dog, he just has to stop and say hi to it and pet it if he can! He’s always wanted one, and dreams of getting one when he’s finally moved out

• Loves the look of skulls, he thinks they’re really cool 

• Middle child of five kids, and defo has a bit of middle child syndrome, so he tries hard to stand out amongst the five of em. His younger siblings look up to him a lot, though, and he has an alright bond with his older siblings. 

• He and Julie may share the braincell of the group,, but sometimes his impulsiveness just gets the best of him :o) 

• The most trustworthy driver of the bunch, and tends to be the chauffeur for their late night shenanigans. He also knows quite a bit about cars, so he’s the first person Julie will call if she’s having trouble with her own. Joey’s had to drive out to the middle of nowhere to help Julie out with a flat tire or busted engine a couple times

• Besides wanting to earn money so he can move out as soon as he graduates, he really wanted to work so that he could stay away from home more often, since he tended to feel really confined there. Thankfully that motive died down a bit after The Legion was formed, since he was out hanging out with them more often outside of school and work

   -Speaking of work, he was NOT the biggest fan of any of his jobs. He’d get really bored and tend to daydream or ignore a lot of the tasks at hand, which is typically why he got fired. Julie would help him jobhunt despite knowing that he’d eventually get fired, since she really did wanna try and help him out somehow

• Really smart academically! Unlike Julie, though, he tended to do most of his work since he found it ridiculously easy and didn’t wanna deal with the consequences at home nor school

• Despite typically dressing in all black, his favorite color is actually blue, specifically navy blue and cyan

• Finds sports ridiculously boring, and hated being dragged to Frank’s basketball games by Julie. He’d still find some fun in it, since he was with his friends, but he wasn’t the happiest camper about it

• Has a bit of RBF 🙏 Tends to intimidate a lot of people without trying to because of this

• He’s the one everyone will go to whenever they need to talk about something, whether it's to rant about their day or show off something that they found! Just overall really great to talk to

• Gets frustrated very easily if something isn’t turning out the way he wanted it to, and will tend to brute force shit until he gets them to work

 • He’s able to read people decently well, more so in a “I can figure out their motives and what they want from me” than a “I know exactly what that person is feeling” kind of way

• Whenever Julie is havin’ a rough day and Frank isn’t around, he’ll typically snatch her and take her to the gas station to get her a snack and just talk to help her feel better

• When he met Frank, he almost immediately figured out somethin’ was gonna happen between him and Julie, and low and behold, Joey was right. He likes to tease them about this sometimes, since he found it really obvious when neither of them did

• He and Frank will often make stupid bets with each other, most of them including pretty dangerous or idiotic dares that have a high chance of landing one of ‘em in the hospital if they aren’t careful. Susie tends to panic over these, meanwhile Julie is both extremely entertained by their stupidity while also going into mom mode and trying to get them to stop, mainly just cause she doesn’t want them to get too hurt

• He and Frank are each other's right-hand man 👍 They’ll typically confide in each other whenever they need some sort of relationship advice (Joey’s never been in a relationship until Susie and Frank knows how close Julie and Joey are so he requires his help sometimes lmfao)

• Does the lil foot tapping thing that cartoon characters do whenever he’s waiting for something, since he does tend to get a bit impatient

• He’s pretty strong, so sometimes he likes to just,,, pick up his friends and carry them around, mainly ‘cause he finds their reactions pretty funny when he just yoinks them away from whatever they’re doing. Susie enjoys it a lot, Julie can’t help but laugh since he tends to do it when she and Frank are in the middle of talking, leaving Frank to chase after them, and Frank tends to protest and try to get Joey to drop him

• Has difficulties falling asleep, so he’ll either read his comics or call one of his friends to talk to until he eventually falls asleep

Made another au for spooky month.

Title: The Dimensional Duo.

TWS: TRAUMA MENTIONS, KILLING MENTIONS, WEAPON IMAGERY, MONSTER IMAGERY, MULTIPLE EYES IMAGERY.

Summary: When Eyes finally emerged and began to destroy everything with the help of the cult, a cult member threw Skis and Pump into some weird ass portal thingy due to a command Eyes had made specifically for them. Skid and Pump were trapped in a dimension after being thrown in, which was basically a void filled with glass shards that led to every universe in the galaxy except their own. The shards were basically their only form of entertainment, so they had to use them go travel through universes for the next 13 years. Eventually, it got to a point where most of these universes were sort of similar to video games(some of them even were video games), so they began to lose their grasp on what was normal and their own grasp on their own morality. It got so bad to the point where even killing others wasn't a big deal to them. But somehow, after 13 years, they managed to finally leave, but they were completely oblivious to that. Due to their trauma that they aren't even aware of, they do not remember shit about the town and only remember some people, so they end up mistaking it for another universe. Surprisingly, everything seems fine now. It seems the town managed to defeat Eyes on their own. But they both end up reuniting with the original cast(most of whom they do not recognize but they do remember them), which leads to shenanigans.

Skids personality: Skid is the more calmer of the two. He is generally more laid-back and is usually pretty smug, he also kind of has dry humor. He also tends to joke around and laugh a lot, and for some reason he's weirdly good at singing. He usually laughs at Pump whenever he starts raging, but whenever Skid is mad, he's usually very firm and passive aggresive. He can also be a bit sassy sometimes, but it usually comes out of no where.

Pumps personality: He is more chaotic, and adventurous, and he also tends to resort to fighting anytime he's confronted with a problem of some sort. But he also has massive anger issues, and will tend to freak out whenever he's frustrated with something sometimes. He can also be a smug piece of shit when he wants to, and whenever Skid is mad, he usually just teases him.

Facts about this au:

1. Skid and Pump have been stuck in the dimension for so long that they forgot how the real world works. Which means they've forgotten that they can actually die now, and they've also gotten to a point where they treat everyone else except eachother like they aren't real people. They tend to make fun of others, or joke about others since they usually don't think it really means anything anyway.

2. Skid and Pump will attempt to kill eachother sometimes as a joke or as a way to mess with the other, since they're usually used to the other just coming back anyway. But now that they're in the real world, they can actually die. But they still aren't aware of this, and will attempt to jokingly kill eachother regardless.

3. Killing or hurting threats has become normal for the both of them, so when faced with even a minor threat, they usually automatically start to swing their weapons around out of instinct.

4. Both of them are weirdly good at fighting, but Skid is better at it than Pump is.

5. Both of them have trauma, but they don't even know it.

6. Skid remembers Lila, but he does not recognize her when he comes back.

7. Pump also remembers Susie, but he can't recall how she looks, and due to this, he doesn't recognize her when he finally sees her again.

“You should have seen her,” Castle beamed with pride. “Oh I wish you could have seen her. She didn’t even think about it. Just put that woman in her place.”

Kate smiled at her daughter, her fierce little girl who definitely was learning what she liked and didn’t like.

“Just like you would have done. Fierce and independent,” Castle told her. “You really nailed your T-Rex impression, Sweetpea.” 

Kate chuckled. “I’d have maybe used words instead making dinosaur noises. Nope, she’s just like you. You get your weird side from Daddy, right Lily?”

“Mommy, that lady was so mean,” Lily grumbled from her spot at the island colouring with her new cuddly triceratops dinosaur next to her. “Dinosaurs are girls too. Susie is a girl. Cera is a girl.”

“I know baby,” Kate reassured her, knowing she’s talking about the dinosaurs at the museum she loved to look at whenever they went, having since named them with the help of her father and older sister. 

“I like them,” Lily continued. “And Lex does and you do. We watch our movies all the time.”

“You can go right ahead and love whatever you want,” Castle reminded her. “We’re proud of you for how you handled yourself today.”

“Tilly wouldn’t hurt her,” Lily grumbled, switching crayons and pushing some more towards Kate who was helping her with the page in front of her. “Tilly only likes plants. But not brocoli. That’s yucky.”

Kate laughed, exchanging a look of pride with husband. 

“Want to watch Land Before Time after dinner with me?” Kate asked, watching the last of the incident fade from her daughters mind as excitement took over.

“Ooh, please Mommy!” Lily cheered.

Kate had loved the film as a kid and it was something she was really happy to share with her kids now. She hadn’t realised just how many of them there were now though. It was fun to work their way through them and knew when the boys were a little older they’d be just as excited by them as Lily was.

“Okay, but you have to help with the table and get into your pyjamas real quick  and then we’ll watch it while Daddy reads to Reece and Jake. Deal?”

Lily smiled, turning to Tilly to tell her all about the movie.

“Other than the very obvious lockjaw infection waiting to happen, I got a few others. I dont like legion. Susie and Joey I can handle, they’re surprisingly easy to throw off. Piss them off enough and they make mistakes I can capitalize on. Its Frank and Julie that are the main issues. They’re a lot harder to throw off. They’re both dead set on hunting me for… To put it in the cleanest way I can, fucking around with Frank when I first came here. He didn’t tell me he had a main squeeze already and I wouldn’t have done shit with him if I knew. Now I have to deal with a guy who’s acting like a crazy ex and his equally as fucked girlfriend who thinks I knew. Frank likes to fuck with me, he leaves anyone close to me for dead so I can find them. There was… A really nasty time. Frank took out Steve and left pieces of his body for me to find. At first it didn’t register as him but the more I found the more I realized what I was looking at and the more I wanted to puke. Im scared for Min if this is what he did to someone who’s just a friend… Julie doesn’t do the theatrics or flashy horror movie type deaths. She just wants me gone and shes dead set on it. She zeroes in and is willing to throw trials if it means killing me.”

“Freddys another one. Hes… Hes gross with me. Quentin said he could have probed my dreams for ammo to use in trials… He likes to do this thing where he pretends to be Dad or Claudia or Vincent to get me to slip up. It… Really throws me off whenever this happens. Worst part is that I always give him a reaction. The fogs a weird place… Some of these people died before they came here so… Theres that chance. That thin chance that the entity can bring them in. I think he knows that which is why he keeps doing it. I cant stop myself from giving him a reaction and he uses that to his advantage. Wether its just a breakdown from seeing dad and hearing those vile words in his voice or me going in for a swing with that bitch. He does it before going in for the kill…”

What Sectonia and Haltmann are doing after their revivals in the 'Lost Miracles That Finally Become' AU

A few months ago, I wrote a fanfiction about this AU that involves Morpho Knight allowing Kirby to give him wishes, which he then proceeded to request Morpho to bring both Taranza's queen and Susie's father back to life and into their right minds, which then resulted in two extremely emotional reunions at the Divine Terminus.

I ended the fanfiction right as they all left the Divine Terminus and then just very briefly summarized how both Sectonia and Haltmann got settled into their respective home areas. Again, the summarizations on both situations were very brief.

I can mention a lot more details on what they do in this AU after they've been revived. I don't at all plan to write another fanfiction that takes place in this AU so here you go at me going all in at disclosing information here onto this tumblr post.

Sectonia

Like shown in the fanfiction for this AU, Sectonia suffers from immense guilt for her villainous actions after she's been brought back. The guilt is so bad that she still has difficulty forgiving herself even after Taranza assured her that he still loves her and that everything would be okay. She's relieved to be back alive and in her original form, but is still overall extremely traumatized and distraught.

When Taranza brought Sectonia back home in Royal Road's castle, the rest of Floralia freaked out. They then calmed down and kept their distance when assured that she won't ever become a monster wasp again since the spiders would never dare go anywhere near a dimensional mirror. A repeat of Triple Deluxe isn't going to happen.

Sectonia herself just completely stays in Royal Road as far as Floralia is concerned. She'd never dare go anywhere near the other Floralian islands. If anything, whenever she leaves her home, she and Taranza would just go other places such as Popstar proper. The excruciating guilt she bears convinces her to not touch any of the Floralian islands that aren't Royal Road.

The two spiders are close again. Sectonia is emotionally hurting, but is beyond grateful to Taranza's unwavering support and love for her, even if she still feels like she's undeserving of it sometimes. But she doesn't let that out because she knows he doesn't want to hear it.

Sectonia tries her hardest to be nice when meeting people that Taranza introduces her to, but that's not always easy. She's prone to having irrational freakouts due to how traumatized and guilty she feels. The moment anyone shows any sort of suspicion or anger, she'll flip out, telling them she's not a danger anymore, and tells them to just tell it like it is and that they "hate her and think she's ugly". People normally don't really have that much malice, though.

How does Sectonia interact with all the other dream friends when Taranza introduces her to them? I'm not going to go over all of them, but overall most of them can get along with her okay. They're more or less happy for Taranza that he has his beloved queen back. And for the most part, they give Sectonia the necessary space and respect after she shows herself to be self-loathing and prone to freaking out.

She most notably becomes friends with Kirby, Susie, Magolor, King Dedede and the mage sisters and Hyness. She already met Susie and Kirby at the Divine Terminus, and she also becomes friends with those others listed upon meeting them.

Dedede forgives her for the TDX events and welcomes her just like he's welcomed Taranza back then. Magolor, being a close friend of Taranza, tries his hardest to be supportive and sometimes says humorous things to help ease her mind (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't) and the mage sisters of course appreciate another unhinged woman with magical powers just like them. Hyness came together with her over their corruption experiences. He tells her that he's felt immense guilt over what he's done, too.

Sectonia and Susie become quite close, though. They become each other's favorite female friend, because Susie and Taranza were pretty much besties beforehand. Susie acts as a pillar of support (she's not the best at that, but she's done it for Taranza previously, so she can do it to the other spider) and helps introduce Sectonia to all her stuff. I'll mention that Sectonia develops a hobby into doing ridiculous things with furbies like what Susie does. LOL. Two unhinged messed up women have a bonding activity of making fucked up furbies together.

Two dream friends, however Sectonia cannot be in the same room with. Those two, of course, being Dark Meta Knight and Marx. Taranza hasn't gotten along with either of those two, and so Sectonia doesn't either.

Sectonia's immense guilt, trauma and prone to freaking out gives little incompatibility with Marx. When she was still a ghost, she literally watched as Marx had told jokes about her that made Taranza flip out. It made her extremely angry. Even when it was a long time ago since he last told a joke about her, she refuses to forgive him for it. Sectonia would berate Marx on sight and if he got close enough, she'd lash out and attack him. Taranza has pleaded for Magolor and the mage sisters (some of Marx's friends) to keep the jester the hell away from his traumatized queen. They cooperate with that request.

Sectonia wants DMK dead for his involvement in her corruption. To be clear, Dark Mind (because he's actually still alive, lol) was the mastermind of using the mirror to corrupt her and DMK was just the hitman he used, but that doesn't matter. If they got anywhere near each other, Sectonia would drop everything to hunt down and try to kill DMK. That's something Taranza was doing until the star allies enforced a separation between him and DMK. They've had to stop Sectonia from trying to tear DMK to shreds when they first met after her revival. (Kirby and wave 2 insists that he still deserves a chance to improve, just like Sectonia is now given the chance to improve)

Fortunately for DMK, he can use the mirror world as a refuge against Sectonia because she wouldn't dare go near a dimensional mirror. Whenever he decides to leave the mirror world, he heavily stays on guard and hides himself if he ever sees the spiders nearby.

But aside from DMK and Marx, Sectonia has little to no problems with the other dream friends.

Overall, Sectonia does a lot of relaxing inside Royal Road to help slowly recover from her trauma and guilt. And many of Taranza's friends help introduce her to all the stuff they deal with, such as the aforementioned stuff that Susie does. She's on the very slow road of trying to feel better, and it's slow, because it's gonna take a long time to recover from all that horrifying guilt.

But Taranza is joyous that she's alive again. He missed her so much. And maybe the biggest reason why Sectonia is glad to be happy again is for Taranza's sake. She saw all the grief he had for her while watching over him as a ghost.

Okay I think that's it for Sectonia. Let's go over Haltmann now.

Max Haltmann

When he first got brought back to the Haltmann Works Company's headquarters, a lot of the employees asked if he'd become president again, but he said no every time. Like stated in the last chapter of the AU's fanfiction, Susie continues to be the president of the HWC. Haltmann is simply much too proud of her that he doesn't want to take that from her.

Instead, he's in retirement. He doesn't work in any position of the HWC at all. Susie recommended that to him since she feels like he should take it easy after being dead for so long.

But he does feel like he still owes her in some way after how he mistreated her when he was Star Dream's puppet. Susie recreated his business suit to give to him. And he's made the promise that he'd fly his mech to go hunt down anyone that hurts his daughter in any way.

This father and daughter love each other again. Of course it's not exactly the same as it was before, with Susie having been all grown up and being very independent and all, but they're just glad they saw each other properly once again.

Haltmann being in retirement means he can very easily join Susie in the vacations that she schedules, mostly in Popstar.

He mostly sticks to the company's headquarters as his main residence, though. The headquarters made a room for him to sleep in whatnot, but when he's not in there, he goes around the headquarters to experience everything that's there, from the restaurants and the stores present in that area.

He absolutely feels guilt for what he's done in the past, but he's able to control his emotions better than Sectonia can. And while he's glad to be alive again, he doesn't actually have much in the way of plans for what he wants to do with his life after he's been brought back.

If anything, he's just happy to have seen his daughter again and to have let her know that he still loves her. Back when Susie's grief was more severe, it was so agonizing for Haltmann's ghost to watch. It broke his heart watching her constantly vent to herself about how she worries he'd hate her. And so the reunion was entirely cathartic for him (and to Susie). He's just happy that his daughter now knows that he loves her and isn't mad for accidentally killing him back then.

As far as how he'd be interacting with the others in the Kirby cast, such as dream friends, the thing is that Susie isn't actually friends with a whole lot of the star allies. She considers a lot of them to be 'coworkers' more than anything (Taranza, Magolor and the mage sisters are the main meat of who are her friends). But they're glad to see that she has her dad and back to normal similarly to how they're happy for Taranza having his queen back. Although he seldom interacts with most of them due to spending most of his time at the HWC's headquarters.

The ones that see him the most often are the ones that were coming by the company's headquarters to visit Susie beforehand. So that means Kirby and the rest of wave 3, including the mages. That now includes Sectonia when Taranza gets her to visit the place like he did.

Haltmann already met Kirby and Taranza at the Divine Terminus after reuniting with his daughter, and so he becomes friends with them. He's super thankful to them for looking out for his daughter while he was dead.

Magolor and Hyness are other big examples of friends that he makes.

Magolor was darn incredibly hyped to have met Haltmann. In fact he becomes enough of a rascal to try to insert himself as some sort of 'nephew' figure for Haltmann, with Susie just rolling her eyes when he does that.

Something about meeting a fellow egg-shaped capitalist made Magolor gravitate towards Susie's father for a while. Susie was a bit embarrassed over that at the beginning, but came around to welcome it. After all, Susie and Magolor were already kind of sibling-like in the dynamic of their friendship, and so she figures it's fitting. And Haltmann has come to quite like the blue-cloaked mage! He thinks Magolor is amusing a lot of the time, and was glad to tell him all about what things were like before the Another Dimension incident.

The Jamba quartet was excited to meet Susie's dad. Haltmann became friends with Hyness. They of course talked about their incidents that made them go mad. Hyness and the mages even invited Haltmann to check out their Jambastion fortress, which Susie went with him to show him around there.

How most of the other dream friends would interact with Haltmann wouldn't be too dissimilar to how they interact with Susie. A lot of them (Dedede, animal friends, etc.) are neutral with Susie, so same goes here. The dream friend that Haltmann would have the most problems with would be... Marx, since Susie has had problems with him. But Magolor has made the deal to not have Marx interact with Haltmann, lest it would make Susie extremely angry. And it wouldn't be a good idea for Marx to aggravate Susie anymore like what he did in the past, considering how Haltmann would respond to it.

Haltmann may occasionally go to visit the other planets that the HWC has helped and made reparations for in his daughter's rule. Susie would go with him every time. She'd introduce to the planets that he's back, and don't worry that he's back because Star Dream is still gone and thus planets still can't be mechanized again.

I think that's more or less about it for Haltmann. He doesn't do a lot of work after he's been revived. Again, he's just happy to have reunited with his daughter, he's just happy to let her know that he loves her, and he's happy to see her being a happier person as a result.

That wraps it up, methinks! Although one more thing: Considering Magolor has made masks for both Sectonia and Haltmann (both forms in Sectonia's case), how do they react to those when they go to Merry Magoland for the first time?

Sectonia wasn't happy. When she saw the masks as a ghost, she perceived it as being mocked (it doesn't help that Taranza initially complained about it until he got over it), and it still felt that way to her when she came back to life. Magolor reassures that he never meant to mock her with it, it was just to honor her. It took some time for her to get over it. She's friends with Magolor, but was not happy about the masks. She legitimately thought she was mocked at first.

Meanwhile, Haltmann had a much more approving reaction. The mask played into his pride and he felt honored, just like what Magolor was striving for! Which makes it funny that Susie, similarly to Taranza, wasn't happy with the mask at first, as she was initially mad for Magolor to have done it without permission. She's not bothered by it anymore, though. Haltmann was never bothered by it, even when he saw it was a ghost!

Okay, I think that's everything now. I'm not going to write a fanfiction that covers the stuff in this tumblr post, but I just felt like showing you what happens in the AU after the fanfic I wrote for it months ago!

I’ll be making a better post with a relationship chart (I made one before but it's a year old now...) BUT I’ll quickly talk about Berdly’s relationship with everyone here! I’ll will be talking about post chapter 2 btw!! (and a little bit of chap 2 & chap 1 if necessary)

KRIS

Kris is a little more neutral towards tms!Berdly compared to the original. This is mostly because (pretty much like everyone else) they don’t really see Berdly as a threat despite being the school’s bully. Though, again like everyone else, they think he’s annoying and weird. Berdly looks up to Kris (like how he looks up to Noelle) because they’re the 2nd smartest kid in class and is (somewhat) close to Noelle. Berdly, however, wasn’t really the nicest towards Kris and still insulted them and even attempted to bully them. Like I said before, Kris just brushes him off. Berdly, after being ignored so many times, stopped out of embarrassment. They just...kinda play games together and chill sometimes now.

SUSIE

Berdly and Susie don’t…particularly get along too well. They usually get into an argument or a yelling match with each other. Susie is also the only person Berdly could actually bully (and actually has bullied) because of how sensitive she is. Post chapter 2 Susie tries to extend an olive branch multiple times (despite the bullying, she never really hated him) and Berdly uh…kinda….reciprocates? (Barely). They’re currently in an actual “truce” with each other. (And Berdly does have a “crush” on Susie like in the original game but he still isn’t…TOO fond of her.)

NOELLE

Noelle tries to tutor/help anyone who needs it. And the person who needs it the most just so happens to be the person she finds the most annoying : Berdly. She doesn't really like him and finds him EXTREMELY annoying. She's only around him to help him with work (and also he just...follows her everywhere she goes. So she kinda doesn't have a choice.) She isn't (and...wasn't) really the nicest to Berdly. She mostly made snide comments under her breath about him. Now she just...does it out loud. To his face. (In her defense she does this with everybody...guess that doesn't change anything though huh.) She just...doesn't really...think highly of him. The same cannot be said for how Berdly feels about Noelle. He constantly praises her and tries to help whenever he can. (He does not help. He never helps.) (Berdly also had a crush on Noelle so there’s that too. It went away after chap 2 though.) He puts her on a higher pedestal compared to others and constantly compares other students to himself and her. (Which makes Noelle uncomfortable but it’s something she’s used to by now.)

TLDR : Literally everyone finds him annoying but harmless. (Despite trying to be the opposite.)

(Also don’t burn his shirts! It’s the only thing he has!! (along with his shirts that has bands on them he doesn’t listen to and like…1 or 2 “normal” shirts))

-A few times she'll 'accidentally' lay on them and then go 'Oh, this pillow is so uncomfy, better fluff it out' and then start tickling them (yes this has led to Robert purposefully being in her favorite spot on the couch when he's in a lee mood)

-If you've watched Bluey then yk what I'm talking about, but there's a scene in one episode where Bandit grabs Bingo and Bluey and pretends to use them as bed stuff, and they pull a tickle-attack on him. Yeah basically that except Robin's Bandit, the little sister is Bingo and Rob's Bluey, and instead of letting them get away and chasing them she wraps them in each arm and tickles them

-But she also gets tickled out of bed pretty often

-Worst spot is def her back, which sucks for her bc she sleeps on her side a lot, meaning one of her siblings can do a sneeki tiggle

-Not to mention Radford does like to sneak up on her and tickle the shit outta her for holding him down and letting him get attacked

-Ok now for Susie

-Yet another big ler, as big sisters often are

-Always getting into tkl fights with Pump, almost always winning

Deltarune Chapter 2 Replay Review

In the past I've talked about Deltarune Chapter 2 in little pieces, but never gave a full in-depth review on it. After recently revisiting the chapter for the first time in months--or even years--I think it's time I actually put out a more comprehensive, thought-out post regarding my feelings on the chapter as a whole.

If you know me at all, you'll be aware that I greatly prefer Chapter 1 over Chapter 2. I always praise Chapter 1 whenever I can and sometimes might bash Chapter 2 as being the lesser of the two. And today we will see if my opinion on it has improved, stayed the same, or gotten worse.

I'll be going over the bad things first to get the negativity out of the way, move on to the good stuff, and finally end with the points I don't have strong opinions on. Please keep in mind that this is all my own opinion, and you are free to have a different one. Without further ado, here we go!

Part 1: The Bad

Queen. I've admittedly never been a major fan of Queen and never understood the hype around her. And unfortunately, a couple of the problems I always had with her have only become more accentuated and pronounced in my recent playthrough. I still find her voice annoying as always, arguably even more so. And she still does appear a bit too often for my taste. However, these are the only major issues I have with Queen as a character. I find nothing else about her inherently negative or frustrating, and I'll get into the good aspects of Queen later.

Noelle. This is going to make some of you upset I'm sure, but I still don't really like Noelle. I never did, and it's unlikely I ever will. She shares the same issue Queen does: she appears too often in the chapter. I understand that as more chapters are released, more characters will be introduced and take center stage, and there is nothing wrong with that. However, Noelle being one of those characters was, and still is, not my cup of tea. There are some things I do like about Noelle too, and I'll also get into that later.

The general tone of the chapter. One thing I really liked in Chapter 1 was how it felt a lot more serious in its tone. Yes, there were silly moments--need I bring up Lancer?--but there was always this sense of unease I felt. Of something threatening awaiting me. Chapter 1 knew what it wanted to accomplish in its tone from the get-go and did an excellent job at building suspense little by little. But with Chapter 2, I never really felt that. Everything felt silly all the way through, and the actual villain wasn't threatening until the very end. That moment when Queen controlled Berdly came out of nowhere and nothing built up to her battle. Everything just felt messier, like the chapter itself didn't know what it was doing. Yes, there was a plot, but the tone was having an identity crisis.

Part 2: The Good

Queen, again. There are some aspects I do like about Queen. As messy as it felt, her controlling Berdly was a decent surprise and had me thinking things were finally going to get intense. I also like Queen's bond with Noelle and how she genuinely wants to protect her, even if Noelle doesn't see it that way. It gives Queen some depth, and that's always nice to see.

Noelle, again. There are also a few things I like about Noelle. I think her overall personality is pretty good, and her background and history with other characters is very intriguing to me. I also appreciate how she befriends Susie by the end. It's always nice seeing Susie connect with more people.

Berdly. In the past I've mentioned how I always appreciated Berdly for who he was as a character, but never paid much mind to him. But after playing Chapter 2 for the first time in forever, I am pleased to announce that I like him a lot more now! Berdly was a major saving grace in the chapter for me. Berdly felt a lot like the Lancer of Chapter 2 in terms of comedy and general charm, and I found myself laughing at his lines quite a lot. His personality, while definitely needing a bit of personal improvement, is very unique and helps create some hilarious scenes. His design is very nice too, and I think he's a great addition to the game and its continual story.

Spamton. For a long time, I felt the same opinion with Spamton as I did with some other characters: too many people like him, therefore he must be overrated. As time went on, my opinion on Spamton slowly started to change and improve. And after my playthrough, I absolutely understand the hype. Spamton is honestly one of the most unique characters Toby Fox has ever created. Everything about him is great, from both his regular and NEO designs to his voice/dialogue to his backstory and everything in between. You genuinely feel bad for him, but know he needs to be stopped. Everything just fits so well, and I'm very glad I gave Spamton a second chance. I'll probably always like Jevil more--speaking of which, Jevil and Spamton lore must be given at somepoint--but I'll always have a soft spot for good ol' Spamton.

Chapter 1 characters. Even though Chapter 2 is primarily consisted of new characters, Darkners from Chapter 1 still show up at the beginning. I will admit I was very bummed out when both Lancer and Rouxls Kaard turned into stone, but I was able to find other things to enjoy about the chapter. As more chapters release, it'll be more difficult for Toby Fox to fit in characters from all chapters, though knowing him, I'm sure he'll be able to find a decent balance.

Part 3: The Indifferent

The theme. I've always been a fan of sci-fi and futuristic themes, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Chapter 2 was this exact theme. It felt strange, considering this genre/theme isn't something Toby Fox is known for, but I still think it was decent. However, I don't think it's great. I personally believe Chapter 1 had better world-building and overall design. This isn't to say Chapter 2 is worse by any means. It just doesn't resonate as strongly for me as Chapter 1's fantastical, card-centric theme did.

The length. I know this is going to sound odd, but I think Chapter 2 is a bit too long. I always thought longer was better, but after playing Chapter 2 again, I realize that's not always the case. Yes, we get more world-building and character dynamics, but the plot suffers. Take Chapter 1 as an example. Yes, it's shorter than Chapter 2, but character dynamics, world-building, and a cohesive, appropriately-lengthened plot were all given in the perfect amount. With Chapter 2, so much time is spent wandering around and solving puzzles while not moving anywhere plot-wise. I was initially going to put this point in the negatives section, but decided against it as there are some positives to a longer chapter. I just think it could have been handled better.

Queen, yet again. There is one aspect of Queen I wanted to put here, and that is her status as a villain. For a long time I always condemned Queen for being a weak villain, and I still feel that way to a degree. However, I do realize that villains can come in multiple forms. You have your seemingly purely villainous foe in the form of Spade King, though I personally believe he'll become an understandable villain by the end and get a redemption arc. But not all villains necessarily need to be one-dimensional. I think adding different types of villains is good, even if it's not something I personally enjoy. Because of this, I think Queen's status as a villain is all right. Not too great, and also not something I care for too much, but certainly has its own place and charm for some.

Well, that's it! These are all the major things I wanted to go over and cover in my review. I'm sure there are more minor things I could add, but I really wanted to focus on the stronger, more important things. I'm sure some of this is relatively controversial, but I'm used to that by now :P. Now, for the reveal on whether or not I like Chapter 2 more, less, or if my opinion has stayed the same. Drumroll, please...

YES! I do like Chapter 2 more than I used to. It's not by a major amount--I still think Chapter 1 is superior in multiple ways--but Chapter 2 is NOT as bad as I initially thought. Congratulations Chapter 2, you earn a medal :).
