(SPOILER WARNING to people who haven't read your story) I SWEAR to GOD!!!! This is borderline anon-hate with my current state of mind after finishing The Raven and The Snake over this weekend. I finished it in two days. I'm a mess. I've even started making a playlist because I feel like I can't properly enter reality again. I'm supposed to be writing my bachelors thesis right now,,,, what have you done to me!!!!

I loved it so so so much, and I am very mad I cannot have a collectors edition hardback version of it on my shelf. There are many many moments that keep replaying in my head, and scenes that I saw so vividly when reading through it. The first imperio moment and Sebs shadow and imperio-green eyes as Clora was held captive, and the entire scene in the repository and how I was physically shaking as I slowly realised that Seb had made a fucking horcrux, and when it was CONFIRMED the GASP i GUSPED. It was so perfect, and so very Sebastian; because OF COURSE he made a horcrux (lowkey hot, sue me).

And the scene where Clive realised Seb straight up just died for his daughter without knowing he would be back, oh my dear lord.

And the idea of Seb being seen as a 'Ruffian' and that little mamas boi bitch of a Henry thinking his hand-me-down-riches, muggle ass would be preferable to a powerful wizard. I secretly wished they didn't have to keep magic a secret so Henry could have known just how inferior he was. AND SEB APPARATING SO FAR UMPH the skilllll.

I could go on and on and on, and maybe I will some other time in your inbox when I have another mental breakdown.

And now I'm also almost done with the small sequel. Just taking a break to bombard you with this unhinged message of mine. And how you draw Sebastian is so fucking good. It's actually what got me reading in the first place. I see your version as being in a completely separate universe from the game, cause the way you draw him just has that something, and it's not the same anywhere else. It certainly doesn't help my obsession that my own boyfriend has the same features and colour palette as him, now I think I might even use your art as inspo for next time we need wardrobe additions.

some miwi headcanons just bc ! older ones

i see young mike as kind of loud and not realizing how loud (and annoying) his yelling near people is (ie karen yelling in s1 “mike let’s go!” “COMING!!!”) however he quickly learns not to yell around will, adopting his softer voice for him BUT

in school he’s constantly calling over to will “will come here” “will sit next to me” “will! over here! look at this!” trying to get his attention “will, will, hey will…” other kids are like dude shut up… so many kids know will’s name who’ve never seen him, and mike’s thought of as that kid who’s always calling out for his friend.

i’m an avid rock collector!mike enjoyer. on the playground, in the forest, at the park, at the lake. he’s picking up all the cool ones, storing them away for very important scientific reasons like “this one’s shiny in A Different way!” he sets aside his favorites to show and give to will, very much in the style of a cat bringing a dead rodent to their owner, like “got something special just for you :) a Very Cool Rock :)” will loves how much mike enjoys it and is very excited to receive them, feeling quite special.

will loves stuffed animals (i mean we been knew) when he was younger they all had names and backstories, interpersonal drama and storylines he played out. two stuffed cats he definitely thought of as him and mike subconsciously, as they were best friends. he would act out little dramatic scenes of them running away from some oppressive kingdom, going on an adventure and meeting new friends along the way. … and he may have made them kiss a few times …

obviously small will loved drawing, but i don’t think he was always confident in his skill. after people tell him he’s good he gets caught up in trying to be really good, and gets frustrated when he can’t do something the way he wants. hence crumpled up attempts in the trash mike fishes out. there’s a spell of time where he gives up for a bit and jonathan asks why he hasn’t seen him drawing lately, and will says he doesn’t think he can get any better, it’s too hard. jonathan tells him it doesn’t matter if it’s perfect, he should just draw to make himself happy “draw for the campaigns, your friends think it’s so cool” so will keeps at it focusing on drawing what he thinks him and his friends will appreciate

while watching scary movies in the basement mike and will always held hands under blankets. it started when they were younger and they first got permission to watch a scary movie, they didn’t want to admit they might be getting too scared. during a big jump their hands reached out on instinct and too caught up in the movie they didn’t let go. when it was over they didn’t talk about it, but then it just kept happening every time they got scared. which led to holding hands when upset outside of watching movies. they never really discussed it, it just felt like their little secret thing.

all the boys were nice to holly but will was the only friend who actually liked seeking her out to play w them. (fascinated by a little sister unlike lucas and only-child dustin) mike and will would play games with her sometimes, will thinking she was really cute, and mike thinking it was cute will really liked her. cue karen thinking will is the best influence on her son

i have such a strong image of kindergarten miwi right after they become friends making mud pies together every recess. their teacher scolds them the first few times having to scrub their hands when they come back in. it gets so bad when the recess monitor sees them heading for the dirt they’re yelling “Michael! William! don’t even think about it!” they think it’s so funny to rile them up, they start spreading mud on each others arms “will you need more than that!” they only try to eat it a few times, it does taste really gross. after they’re banned from the dirt, they move to the sand box, it’s only a bit cleaner.

Gaara did sleep a while longer after his Children drew on his Face, and especially Aoi couldn't wait for his Reaction.

She knew his first way after waking up is into the Bathroom, so he would realize what happened really fast. So exciting!

And then their Father finally woke up, surrounded by his Family laughing and smiling. He was happy because he enjoys his Family being happy and healthy, so he didn't think twice about it.

At least until he walked into the Bathroom, still tired and yawning, and then ... finally the look in the Mirror with Aoi and Jiro standing in the Doorway, watching his Reaction.

At first he had to rub his eyes, looking at his Face, and in just one second he realized ... Aoi did a prank on him again. He didn't even think that Jiro was involved, he knew his Daughter pretty well to know that this was all her Idea.

And when he saw the whole Family standing in the Doorway, laughing ...

All he could do is looking like: My Daughter is a little Monster.

In a loving way of course! 🤣

Gladly it was his Day off and he didn't have to clean this mess before going to work, haha. 😂

So, I didn’t make any art for Odaiba day because I’m a procrastinator, but I thought I’d tell my story of how I got into Digimon because I think it’s kinda funny and personally I like reading stuff like that so I thought at least one person might get a kick out of it.

Obviously gonna put this below the cut because it's a lil long

I had very very passing awareness of digimon before getting into it, like I knew Agumon but didn’t know its name, and I watched part of a random episode as a kid and didn’t like that they talked for some reason, and that’s as far as my knowledge went. But I had a friend who really liked digimon and really wanted me to get into it.

My first real experience was that friend showing me episode 4 of adventure and I was very alarmed that Biyomon was a digimon and not a Chocobo like I thought.

The episode didn’t really sell the series to me, so I didn’t touch the franchise for another couple of years. I gained more passing knowledge through my friend and loved random digimon I thought were funny, mostly Togemon and Bakemon which I lovingly referred to as the “punching cactus” and “teethy ghost”, respectively.

Cut to my friend finds a V-pet at our local game store, so I bought one too because I always wanted a Tomogachi and thought it’d be fun to make our guys fight.

I loved my little guy! I thought little pixel Pagumon and Garurumon were so cute but had no idea what they actually looked like!

Later still, I had an itch to play a monster collector but wasn’t interested in replaying any of the Pokémon games I already owned, so my friend offered to borrow their copy of Next Order. I thought I’d give it a shot especially since I liked some of the V-pet guys.

Oh boy was that a learning curve. The only other monster collector I played was Pokémon so digimon not being exactly like Pokémon confused my small brain. (Wait, so digimon can evolve into whatever, but they also can’t?) (They have canon evolution lines but they also don’t?) (Turuiemon was just made but Lopmon has been around forever??) (MY SWEET PUNCHING CACTUS EVOLVES INTO A WOMAN WHAT.)

Anyway I enjoyed the game but didn’t really interact with the series much, until my friend and I were bored and threw adventure on in the background because I was like “Oh I know some digimon, it’d be cute to see them animated!”

I did think adventure was cute, but didn’t give it much credit at the time. It wasn’t until we moved on to 02 and I was actively sobbing at the end of Ken’s arc that I was like “Wait what, this is actually good????” And insisted we watch every installment of the franchise.

And now we cut to modern day, I’m sitting with my same friend, sweating and violently scribbling on my tablet with a deranged look in my eye, and they’re asking if I’m drawing Ruli’s friends again.

Oh yeah, and happy Odaiba day!!!!

I’m very happy on how the perspective works the way I wanted it to; I guess my Grandpa’s perspectives lessons really came in clutch! 😆

My Our Life Kiddos

I am once again here to share my Creatures. This is to tell you about the ones I made for the main games and their epilogues and endings, which is so far the ones I made for romance routes.

Step 1: Carrington Hanlon. Carrington is a shy, sensitive and kind child. He hates when people are unkind and tries to never be unkind himself, but also absolutely cannot stick up for himself or others when people are mean. He loves to swim, read and draw, and collects seashells. His favourite animals are sharks and he has lots of shark drawings on his walls. He is also huge on physical affection, he loves to hug and be hugged. At this step he is nervous around Cove but is fond of him.

Step 2: Carrington Hanlon. Carrington's relationship with Cove has moved to nervous crush. He's still shy, sensitive and anxious, and in fact seems even more withdrawn. Being in the awkward early teens, he's struggling a lot with his self esteem and self image. He's awkwardly tall and thin, like a baby giraffe, and is very self conscious over his acne, braces and body shape - he's beginning to experience some pretty severe gender dysphoria, but he doesn't yet know what it is, just that he really wishes his body was more like his sister's. He greatly treasures the moment he had with Cove discussing their favourite flowers, and the fields of poppies are something he won't forget. He's still an avid swimmer, reader and collector, with a passing interest in surfing, but has let his art fall to the wayside, not because he doesn't enjoy it but because he's convinced himself he's terrible at it. He still can't stand up for himself in most situations, but will stutteringly defend those he cares about, and does end up punching Jeremy in the face at Miranda's birthday party. His favourite movie genre is horror. Also fun fact he's bisexual.

Step 3: Poppy Hanlon. Still anxious and sensitive, she and Cove are California's biggest crybabies. Poppy is visibly more confident and comfortable now, and seems more eager to meet new people and make friends. She retains her kind nature and likes to see the best in people. She is very forgiving, not even hesitating to forgive and befriend Shiloh and Jeremy, and has taken up her drawing again. She is also now more open to teasing those she's close to, and has a much more relaxed relationship with Cove. She's not nervous around him 24/7 anymore, guys! She uses curlers on her hair to get those cute ringlets of her dreams and works part time at the library. She has a strong love of rock music. She also hugs everyone without hesitation. Also she gets seasick.

Step 4: Poppy Hanlon. Again, a relaxed and kind young woman who is still feeling her way through life. She finally has some kind of idea what she wants to do and is currently studying in university and living with Cove. She's undeniably happy. Still a huge hugger and a kind but teasing soul.

Step 1: Amy Edwards. Amy is confident, outgoing, bossy and not afraid to speak her mind. In step 1, she is direct but indifferent towards Cove. Not all that interested in being his friend. She's here to have fun. She likes sports and music. Happy child who will not accept meanies in her town.

Step 2: Amy Edwards. In step 2, Amy is in that fun hormonal pit of tween-early teen girlhood, a time I remember well. She is cringey, moody, a grump and thinks she's all that. She now plays multiple instruments and plays plenty of sports recreationally. She's reaching to overachieve and will inevitably burn herself out trying to be the best of the best. She is easily annoyed and still plenty bossy. She is also starting to consider veganism. By age 13, Cove is now a fond friend, and she has a crush on Derek. She is pansexual demiromantic. Unlike Poppy, Amy cannot handle horror films at all. She also has a fear of heights.

Step 3: Amy Edwards. Amy has done some growing up and has calmed down from her major grump hormone driven hatred phase. She's quieter and less confident than she was before, and in fact, as she would have grown up at the same time as me, societal pressure and beauty standards have begun to bother her significantly - she's always had a chubby build, and now feels insecure over her weight. Comments made over it have actually had her shying away from her old love of sports and instead focusing on being the sweaty band kid. She feels a little awkward in herself, and can't fully get away from the reputation she built in her younger teens of being 'that bitch who thinks she's better than everyone'. She's trying to live her best life and has a few flings here and there and tries to figure out what will make her happy. She's also burning out hard, just barely scraping her exams as a result and feeling like things are crumbling around her. She's looking for anything to act as her safety net right now.

Step 4: Amy Edwards. Amy feels more settled at this stage, but still anxious and in need of a safety net. She still will speak out if something upsets or annoys her, such as Derek's own unfair treatment of himself. She co owns a company with a friend and feels like she has some purpose and direction in life. She's open to teasing and making fun. She's still a little insecure about her body, but has begun to come to terms with the fact that she has a plus size build and that doesn't mean she's unhealthy or unattractive, in fact she's athletic and looks after herself well, the real issue is unhealthy beauty standards. She is, however, annoyed by how short she is, especially since so many of her friends and loved ones are stupidly tall.

Step 1: Tafadzwa 'Taffy' Kalakona. Taffy is bright and cheerful. They seem confident and happy, like to take charge and want to see others smile. They aren't as physically affectionate as Poppy, but are big on gift giving and kind words. They also love fashion, and seem to dislike reading but love writing. They were born intersex.

Step 2: Tafadzwa Kalakona. Tafadzwa doesn't have any visible change in their character doll at this step or any change in their pronouns. Tafadzwa is loud and tries to be the funny kid, and to be someone reliable who you can lean on with your troubles. They have begun to form an interest in journalism and want to work for a fashion magazine in the future. They are also becoming aware of the fact that they haven't really felt any attraction to anyone, and until meeting Baxter at the soiree, they believe they're aroace.

Step 3: Tafadzwa 'Taf' Kalakona. At this step, Taf is losing their confidence, primarily due to a crisis of identity. They've referred to themselves as they/them as long as they can remember, but did they choose that? Because that was what they felt? Or were they just always a they? Has anything ever truly felt right? As well as that, they're becoming more keenly aware of the fact that, following learning about their biological parents' deaths, there's a whole separate culture they could have been raised in, and part of them has told themselves they've missed out on something big. There's a disconnect between the life they've lived and this idea they've put in their own head about the life they should have. They've always loved writing, and dancing, but suddenly these hobbies feel hollow. Do they really want to be a journalist? Are they good at anything, really? They have so many questions about themselves and no answers and it's driving them a little insane. They cover this up by leaning harder into being the funny one of the group. Also the one person who made them question their aroaceness is back, which is awkward, and now they're having a summer fling and he feels weird about the fact that Taf's demidemi ass has only ever been attracted to him so far and they feel terrible about that making him uncomfy. Is it weird they've only ever felt attraction to one person? God, they just don't know any more.

Step 4: Tafadzwa Kalakona. Appearance is again largely unchanged on the doll. They now use they/them and he/him pronouns and have several tattoos. He's still anxious and uncertain regarding who he is, still feeling it all out, but is also more solid. He has labels for himself that feel right. Genderfluid demiboy demisexual demiromantic. Does still want to be a journalist and is actively working towards that, but has more of an idea of specific areas they want to work in. Has also moved away from being 'the funny one' and more towards being their genuine self. No more masking. He still tells jokes and wants to uplift spirits, and is a strong and protective presence in his friends' lives, but that humour isn't a solid wall to hide the confusion anymore.

These next two are for Now & Forever, and since that's only in demo right now I can only provide steps 1 and 2. I'll update it with 3 and 4 when available.

Step 1: Diamond Zeiler. He doesn't uncover his right eye until step 3 but I will tell you now it's hazel. He wasn't originally going to have heterochromia but when I saw it was an option in this one, I jumped on it (I have heterochromia myself so squee). Diamond is excitable, loud and active, very talkative and passionate, eager to make friends but he didn't have many at his last town. He currently has undiagnosed ADHD and autism, which may have been a factor in his difficulty in making friends before. He is also very bitter and grumpy about having to move. He's angry and doesn't hide it. He doesn't want to be angry, but things were difficult enough relating to other kids and getting along before, suddenly being thrust into a new place with lots of change and absolutely nobody familiar makes him very upset and anxious, and that manifests as anger at the situation. This ends up primarily directed at his mother, who he blames for the move. He loves his skateboard and his cuddly toys very much. He is also realising that he likes boys romantically. His only concern regarding that is if he can impress them with skateboard tricks or not.

Step 2: Diamond Zeiler. Diamond is now quieter and much more withdrawn. He's definitely suffering from some form of depression, and other people's reactions to him in the past have built up a belief that he is stupid, annoying and has no future. Because of that, he second guesses everything he says and tries to hold his tongue, and doesn't really look forward to anything. The anger he felt before was never dealt with in a healthy fashion either, leaving a nice festering unpleasantness within. He has now also developed a crush on Tamarack, but isn't sure if he really likes girls or just feels like that's expected of him. Like, he likes her a lot, but is it the same as his very definite crush on Qiu?

Step 1: Virginia Walsh. Virginia is a very quiet, polite and well behaved young lady. The very idea of being naughty is utterly scandalous to her. She tries to stay clean, keeps out of trouble and wants to make friends. She goes out of her way to be kind and understanding.

Step 2: Virgil Walsh. Virgil has gone a good 180 from his good little girl past. He's now in the midst of a wild, reckless phase where he causes problems on purpose. He's a feral little shit now and you should all be afraid, be very afraid. Also he and Qiu are no longer friends, but dear sweet god does he have the biggest crush in the known universe on Tamarack.

Tyranno Kenzan (Hassleberry) Headcanons 🦖💥

Because the inner machinations of my mind urge me to go feral, as I do, over this boy. Enjoy my madness.

He's very familiar with plant life, to the point of knowing their scientific names and being able to recognize edible plants and herbs in the wild. He's confused Syrus and Jaden many times by picking a plant seemingly at random and munching on it as they walk back to the dorms.

He has this innate ability to sense when it's going to rain/storm, both because of his leg tensing/aching and he gets HORRID migraines when the weather changes significantly. And he despises them. He doesn't like being dizzy.

Doubly, his leg cramps far more that he gives off, but he doesn't want to bring it up most of the time. Jim's the only one that's noticed, because Karen will nuzzle her head against Tyranno's leg when it's sore.

He gives such blatant neurodivergent vibes, like that is an autistic man right there!!! but the notable parts of it are him being the type to communicate with/subconsciously stim through growls and grunts, especially when trying to focus, and he chews stuff (his necklace, fingernails, pencils, random ass stick he found outside-)

He really likes creature feature films!!! He has a small collection of collectors edition copies of movies in the genre, and outside of Jurassic Park, his favorite is the original Godzilla.

On the subject of movies, he cries so easily at them. Like during any peak emotional moment, my man would be tearing up without THINKING ABOUT IT

He has an internal list of all of his friends' birthdays, music tastes and food preferences ^^ as the token mom friend does

If the others are ever running late for something, he'll just scoop them up and start SPRINTING, like man's got no chill, he WILL lift you like a bag of cement onto his shoulder and RUN

He absolutely HATES VR headsets, they only make his migraines come back, and they're also too high-tech for him,,

He can talk to Karen. Like, the two have full on conversations while Jim's doing something nearby. Jim would be working on homework and in the background its back and forth growling.

Every. Single. Time. They go to the beach, he will run off and start digging a hole in the sand. No purpose, he just digs. And usually Jim and O'Brien join him!

I imagine he was raised in a home that operated on the "take care of your own stuff first, but help when you can" discipline, and while he's happy to do stuff for his buds, they're not immune to a lecture on responsibility every now and then

He has a dino-themed apron and he's a stress baker, something Judai and the others discovered during his first exam season.

Additionally, I imagine he started spending more time with Prof. Sartyr (the Ra dorm leader) after their duel, where they get to cook together and he expands on his already decent homemaker skills.

Yes I said homemaker skills, that man is a malewife and a PROUD one and I will stand by it.

I was informed by some lovely Discord people that he has some fascination with mob/yakuza films, and I can't unsee the idea of him throwing in some gangster phrases mid-duel. Like he comes out with the "swimming with the fishes" and everything.

(Which, sidenote, I also imagine he was super offended by the one Society of Light duelist who talked like a gangster and got a little snobby about it-)

He signs his name by drawing a little dinosaur in the "R" of "Tyranno". I know he does he told me himself.

Similar to the stuff with Karen, he's the kind of person to respond to animal noises with similar noises. Like, he meows back at Pharaoh when he meows.

He has a horrible poker face, and is generally not a great liar. He's easy to read since he's such a physically emotive person.

Rock. Collection. He absolutely has a small pile of rocks with fossils on them in his room somewhere.

I wrote most of these a long time ago but some are newer as a result of me needing to chill~ School is hell, I almost wish I was at Duel Academy instead,,

There are some facts about me, if any of you are interested, below the cut.

I was born, raised, and am currently in Texas. Yea-haw, I guess...

I love anime (I think I made that very obvious). I also love video games beyond words and measures.

My ambition is art. It's, as Yuma said in my fic, "My passion, my purpose, my reason for living!" It all began when I was watching my dad draw (he's so much better than I am), and he was drawing a picture from Sarah and Duck, and there was like, this moment that people have in movies where you just know. I knew I wanted to grow up and be an artist that could make pictures that looked completely official like he did, and so here I am.

Also, fun fact, Yugioh is the reason I'm as good as I am now, because my first time drawing from reference and really trying hard, was from an episode of DM.

I love to write as well.

I play Yugioh a lot. A WHOLE LOT.

I'm also a card collector, though I only collect Yugioh and Pokemon... Mostly Yugioh.

I'm fine and happy to have LGBTQ+ people here (after all, I ship a lot of queer characters), even though I am straight.

I’m working through my inbox but don’t want to drown y’all’s feed in my asks so I’m grouping as many together as I can. Q&A below:

MISC SONIC ASKS

Thank you so very much! I was trying to really combine both Amy and Sonic’s aesthetics. Amy is classy and design oriented so I wanted to keep that feel, but I wanted to show how their home would evolve once she and Sonic start living together. Sonic’s never canonically had a house, but he travels so much that I headcanon that he’s constantly collecting trinkets and souvenirs from all the places he’s visited. So I wanted to give them a very “worldly” design style. If you’re familiar with Uncharted 4, I picture Sonic and Amy’s house being very much like Nate and Elena’s beach house.

I love interior design and architecture but I’m not great at drawing it (yet). Once I improve I want to do a full layout of their house for my stories (and the future Shadora Fortress).

I really enjoyed the movies and I’m excited for the third! I hope they give Shadow a voice that’s deep and delicious and doesn’t sound like a sniveling villain. I don’t like it when they cast him with a very generic evil voice, I prefer it when he’s got depth. Honestly I’d be happy if they stuck with Ian Hanlin, he’s perfect to me. 

For the record, I absolutely love that game. Some of my favorite memories involve me and my best friend playing it. He ABSOLUTELY is an avid gun collector. I love seeing the memes of Shadow just rambling off about gun details. BUT HE KEEPS THAT CRAP LOCKED UP IN A SAFE AND UNLOADED AT ALL TIMES!!!!

At least for my stories he isn’t one to actually threaten to harm anybody for wanting to date his kids. He dealt with that enough trying to be with Aurora. But you can bet he won’t think anybody’s worthy to date his kids lol

First of all, I am ALWAYS down for Sonic singing his feelings. Like that is my #1 favorite thing in every story. Whenever he breaks out the guitar/lute I’m like “HELL YEAH LET’S DO THIS”

Secondly, that SONG omg!!! I’d never heard it before but wow 😭 I couldn’t love it more. I completely agree and thank you so much for sharing with me!

That is so funny that you say that. It was not my intention to make human Sonic look like RCS but honestly he is my favorite Sonic at this point so maybe it came out subliminally! Also I think Roger is just so damn handsome so I will take that as a compliment lol! 

SHIPPING ASKS

I do ship them but I don’t know about them having kids. I don’t really know those characters well enough to write family members for them and I wouldn’t want to do it wrong. Thank you!

Interesting! 🤔 I haven’t heard that pairing before but hey I’m certainly not going to tell you that you can’t ship them together. 

I loved Amy the minute I saw her so just from a superficial level I was like “These two are too cute together!” But I really fell in love with them when their story evolved and we got to see their dynamism in the games outside of just a cute little pink sprite in Sonic CD. And Sonic X really sealed the deal haha So many romantic moments between them in that show, God bless. 

Sonic and Amy were just making out, not anything more. Orbot and Cubot aren’t accustomed to seeing that so that’s why they reacted that way. 

I don’t have any plans on that at the moment. I like that universe and I especially loved how Sonic acted around her in it, but idk if I’ll make a comic about it. But I can never say never!

PERSONAL ASKS

I’m sorry to have worried you, but honestly I was okay while I was away. I went through a lot of major life events and I had lost my drawing mojo and was fighting to get it back. But now it’s back with a vengeance!

I plan on doing both. I know several amazing parents who do a wonderful job raising their kids and still follow their passion.

Thank you so much! I’m self-taught, but I’ve researched a lot of tutorials and references to help me improve over my life. The number one thing people need to study if they want to do comics or animations or anything is ANATOMY! You don’t have to take an anatomy class (I didn’t), but look up references and tutorials to learn how the spine works, how the muscles work, proportions, etc. Even if your characters don’t fall into the typical human form, you still need to understand skeletal structure and muscles. 

I’m not an avid listener but I do like some if her songs :)

AURORA ASKS

Thank you! Yes that’s pretty accurate. Their family is all about honesty and telling the truth, but younger Aurora doesn’t like to share all the details with Sonic because he’s so reactive with her and will quickly try to fix whatever the problem is and Aurora wants to learn to fix it herself. Amy is more willing to just listen to Aurora and offer advice if Aurora asks for it. Amy WANTS to beat up whoever is upsetting her daughter but she also knows the importance of learning how to fight for yourself so she wants Aurora to feel empowered to do that. 

Thank you! I hope you’re having a great day too! I think Amy is better at TALKING through feelings and Sonic’s better at the overall cheering up way of handling things. So as long as there’s nothing terribly awful bothering Aurora and she’s just feeling a little down, he’ll find ways to make her laugh. Sometimes that means walking in unexpectedly in a costume to shock her or dragging her out of the room to have a musical jam session together. 

Sonic’s also known to give people flowers when they’re sad in canon (he does this regularly in the games and in Sonic X), so he’ll bring her bright, colorful flowers to make her smile. 

In my AU, Eggman has already kind of peaked by the time of Boom!Baby. He’s softened a lot and isn’t interested so much in world domination as he just wants attention lol. Having Sage and becoming a father further helped me justify that with my AU. 

He's also particularly sentimental towards Aurora since he helped deliver her, so he doesn’t really fight the team anymore. He is more like a constant pain in their sides mucking things up. 

Sonic team is busy fighting other, newer foes in my AU.

Their biggest challenge is going to be the Time Travel comic that I haven’t completed yet. It’s hardest because not only will lives be put on the line, but it also touches on trust and when to let go. I’m sorry I can’t give you a more detailed answer yet but I don’t want to spoil the plot! And thank you so much! 

MISC ASKS RELATED TO MY AU

It’s VERY important to Aurora for her parents to give their blessing, so Shadow will honor that and ask them for it. I already know how and when he’s going to do it, but I can’t spoil it for you yet! 😉

They’ve had three litters. I headcanon that back in the day hedgehogs used to have litters (2 or more kids) all the time but that became less and less common in modern day. But I also headcanon that as the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow was engineered to be able to… multiply effectively. So even though they’ve only been pregnant 3 times, they keep having triplets or twins. 

I do consider the First Kiss comic canon to my AU. But it happened a while before My Gal, maybe like a year or so before. Give them time to stew on that kiss hehehe

They just wanted to make a life change. The stars just happened to align at the same time haha

All the kids’ names are supposed to be based on their personalities or powers. Most Sonic characters are named that way, so I don’t know if it’s canon for Mobian parents to sense what their kid’s powers will be or not. Aurora has dreams that sometimes give her premonitions so she had inklings to what their kids might be like so she and Shadow could brainstorm ideas based on that. Also a lot of their names are outer-space-related or at least outer-space-adjacent and that was because Shadow’s a space man lol So he had influence in that. 

Sonic wants all his descendants named Sonic II so he’s no help lol.

There are 3 litters. The first litter has the triplets Piper, Zane and Nova. The second litter was born almost a year and a half later and has the twins Aster and Blitz. The third litter was immediately after and that has the triplets Cinder, Diamond and Boon. All this information is listed in their character reference post. 

In the beginning the family mostly just stuck to ordering online and getting home deliveries lol. But if they do have to do a grocery store run it’s a full family event. The kids all ride on Shadow (see this post). Their house has two fridges to accommodate for all the mouths to feed!

Their life certainly isn’t boring anymore 😂 It’s exhausting but they’re happy (also there are 8 kids haha!)

Aurora definitely would have asked him about this, but at least in my stories Sonic became an orphan at a young age and I don’t have him with any siblings. 

I’ve had another person ask me who I picture Sonic’s parents as and I do plan on drawing a reference of them, but they’ll be unique to my stories. They won’t be from any other Sonic media. 

I don’t draw Aleena, Manic and Sonia because of a couple reasons. I never watched Sonic Underground so I don’t have the allegiance/nostalgia that a lot of people have to that show. Also for my own preference, I don’t like the idea of Sonic being born to royalty. It doesn’t suit him, in my opinion. That doesn’t mean I don’t respect people who have that as a part of their canon and it doesn’t mean I have any bad feelings towards the Underground characters. I just don’t draw them. I grew up on the games and later Sonic X and Sonic Boom so my stories revolve around what I know. 

It’s funny that you mention that ship because I only just learned about it from Starrjoy’s P!AU comic. Again I didn’t watch Sonic Underground so I don’t know who Bernadette is, but sure I’m down for Sonic having two moms. Families come in all shapes and sizes, so as long as they’re a loving parent or parents then I support it. 

They love all their grandkids and they love spending time with them, but I think in their older age Sonic and Amy go off on more adventures again. They never stopped adventuring, but they settled down a bit while raising Aurora. Now they’re relishing a second wind and they’re frequently going on worldly explorations.  

But they always make sure to attend any events the kids are involved with and are always home on Sundays for family dinner. Sunday night is dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s! <— I have them always having dinner at their house on Sundays even before Aurora and Shadow have kids

To be honest, I never felt like they needed more. I had a comic where they discussed it hypothetically, but they’re content with just having the one kid. (Don’t worry, just because they’re not having kids does NOT mean they aren’t… active 😈 They’re very VERY much so!). I am okay with fan stories where people give Aurora siblings and there’s a fic I’m reading right now that involves Sonic and Amy having a whoopsie baby way late in life and adult Aurora is having to deal with that and I love it lol. But just for my own writing, it’s a single-child household.

Not to pop in your asks, BUT, just answering your q, as a trans person (non binary but still trans), about not wanting to seem like a chaser. Obviously, this might change from trans person to trans person. But all in all, basically you want to care about the person too.

Like yeah trans folks (both binary and non binary) are hot af, but like if all you care about is their transness that's going to come across as wrong. Because we're not a monolith. There are some shitty trans folks out there, and some great ones. We all have different interests. Some of us like gaming, or sports, or fashion, or books, etc.

So as long as you're interested in our personality, history, our core being outside of us being trans. Then you're aokay! Of course, again, this opinion changes from person to person (because trans folks can also be chasers, it's rare but it can happen), but that's how I view it tbh.

And then I consider it for a long time and nah, if anything I more relate to apagender/agender stuff but being a girl is fun for various story reasons lol— is that weird to say? I’m rambly, and I’ve thought about gender a LOT, given how many trans and enby friends I have, I frequently look critically at myself to check if I still ID as cis, and I do xD] I do feel a little unsure about how best to tell trans folks “hey you’re hot, I’m thirsty for you” without coming across as weirdly fetishy. To be clear: I’m thirsty for cis folks and trans folks (and enby and neogender stuff included); there’s a lot of pretty people in the world, and my kinks are gender-neutral! 😅

Headcanon - Majora's Origin

I love Majora's Mask. It is nice to the game get the recognition after spending so much time in the shadow of Ocarina of Time.

However, since the beginning, fans have had an obsession about the origin of Majora's Mask. The oldest / most popular theory that often get repeated is - Majora is a DARK GOD rejecting the Goddesses and planning the destruction of everything!

It's a fine enough theory, but I never hear people really expand on the normal origin explain in the game. They never seem to grasp what "Majora's Mask" is - the Mask is very simply a Demon.

A unique demon, but a demon none the less.

First of all, let's take the time to acknowledge that the world of Legend of Zelda is full of demons. Nearly every side game features some kind of powerful demon terrorizing the local population.

Anyway, Majora is a Tsukumogami, a type of "spirit" born from an item. (Never forget the Zelda franchise's Japanese influences.) In Shinto, it is believed that items can come alive after a long period of time (usually more than 100 years.) Items that are regularly used and maintained, birth helpful spirits. Items that have been neglected, birth angry spirits.

When you think of it that way, the origin told in the game makes a lot more sense. Majora's Mask is a mask used by an ancient tribe to cast curses. The Mask might have absorbed some of the dark magic that they used, so it was already brimming with dark energy when it was sealed away. Then it remained sealed away for a long time, growing resentful of those that had sealed it away.

(I mean, it might be a hexing mask, but items are happy to fulfill their purpose. If it's been neglected, it's because either no longer good enough to do it's job, or they are ashamed of the job it did before.)

By the time the Happy Mask Salesman found it, it was probably already alive waiting for someone to pick it up.

[Sidebar - the HMS is not a God either. He's just a Mask collector. In a land of powerful masks, that means something, but it's not necessarily sinister. He probably buys and sells regular masks, but keeps rare masks for his personal collection. And his drive for collecting masks did push him to raid an ancient temple for Majora's Mask. But, he was also smart enough on how to transport it. He knew it would be trouble for anyone else. He might have planned a ritual to banish the spirit inside the Mask, if he could get the mask back. However, Link destroyed the demon the old fashioned way.]

When the Skull Kid put it on, it secretly wielded him like a puppet. Fascinatingly, being a hexing mask, the Skull Kid took great delight in cursing people, but hardly ever actually killed anyone. (I struggle to think of anyone the Skull Kid killed directly.) It enjoyed bringing misery to all, likely drawing power from people's despair.

It turned the swamp waters into poison. A terrible blizzard hit Snowpeak. Storms were making Great Bay unpleasant for the Zora, and all Ikana Canyon was cursed to relive a war that no one remembers what they were fighting for. On top of more personal curses like turning Kafei into a kid. And causing great despair from pulling the moon out of the sky.

Finally, it was this increased energy of despair that allowed "the spirit of the mask" to manifest a true form for itself, that you fight as "Majora's Wrath."

And in the end, Link is able to destroy this demon, the Mask becomes an ordinary item once again, and the people of Termina are freed from depair as they greet a new dawn, after that third day.

(btw, some people think "Majora's Mask" created all of Termina, and that this is some kind of pocket dimension. If so, why doesn't it disappear when the evil spirit dies? Because Termina is a real place. It's just another country. There are other countries in LoZ. Just that NIntendo doesn't want to explain things.)

And that's it. I feel it's more concise. Instead of speculating on a cosmic pantheon we will never know, the story is much simpler. The land of Termina was cursed, suffering in despair, so the Gods (Or Goddess) sent the Hero to save them.

im a pretty hyper, blunt and expressive person. Im loud and usually kind of physically aggresive with my friends/famiky, as its my favorite way to be playful with those i love. Im a super spontaneous person, as my energy can be night and day depending on how im feeling. While im usually pretty open to new people and experiances, i can get overwhelmed very easily. When im angry im pretty snippy and short with others, ans need a moment to cool down before i have constructive converaation or rational thinking back. When im upset i very much shut down, and im not great with being emotionally vulnerable, but i am very aware of this fact and have been told im very emotionally mature with how i handle negative emotions as ive gotten better. While i can come off as ditzy, Im a very analytical person when it comes to the details around me, especially with people(my friends have teased me and called me sherlock with how scary i am with the little things i notice lol). I can be very sarcastic and arguementarive, to the point those around me think im trying to butt heads, however it comes from a genuine excitement towards combative discussion. I love methodical engagement, and can be quite short tempered when people arent capable of matching intellectual engagement for activities and conversation. I can be VERY stubborn as well, which(while bad in some social situations) is why im capable of pushing through very difficult tasks(have also been told that others find my “determination” inspiring as i handle pain well and enjoy pushing myself). In summary my greatest strengths are emotional intelligence, book smarts and my stubborness. My greatest weakneses are my lack of respect for myself, and my general insecurity.new

I do have diagnosed adhd, insomnia and anxiety issues if that helps with anything. Im also an entp in the myer briggs test if thats worth mentioning
