Yeah they do! I had a sketch version of it around my files, but yeah that's how they would look human. Yes, they can transform to be a human but it takes a lot of magic and energy to do.

no clothes versions that i made for myself to use as templates (yknow so i can draw clothes on top of them without having to draw them over and over again) and showcase my general appearance headcanons

how i think they like to wear their uniforms (looking at bakugo, UA seems pretty liberal about it so i get to have fun lol). obviously what they wear depends mostly on the weather but these are meant to be like,, their favorite combinations?

i really like the "long sleeve shirt with no blazer" look. kind of a shame no one in bnha seems to wear their uniform like this

i like Reiko's canon costume a lot, i just decided to give her fingerless gloves and make her kimono long and tattered for the spooky vibes. i used to also draw it with a reversed (right over left) collar bc that's how they dress dead people and Reiko's meant to have this ghost aesthetic but decided against it this time because maybe it's more culturally inappropriate than i think?? idk its not that big of a visual change so i'd rather play it safe

Setsuna is wearing my own costume design that i explained fully in an older post. i still like it, i just gave her spike bands on her legs instead of the same thing she wears on her forearms bc i decided i dont vibe with the total limb symmetry anymore lol

i spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to think up a redesign for Kendo only to settle for her canon costume with extra bandages/cloth wraps (theyre cool) and ordinary combat boots instead of the ones she wears in canon (i just don't vibe with them). i guess sometimes less is more or whatever

Yui's costume also takes a lot from doodlegraveyard's design, i just decided to try blue as her accessory color to distinguish her color palette from my Momo design

Kinoko's canon costume is just *chefs kiss* so the only thing i changed was the color of her shoes. her sleeves are short here bc i thought it could look cute for a summer version of her costume, the winter version keeps the long fluffy sleeves. her spray guns were pissing me off so i decided not to draw them but trust me they're here in spirit

Moon phos is probably my all time favorite character to draw 😓

Some panels of moon phos for my reference, Ik the way i draw them doesn’t reflect their attitude in the manga- but i do love their design!!! Especially their moon clothes theyre so pretty the collar and sleeves…. One of my favorite things to draw.

Another part of moon phos is their pearl eye!!!! In the manga phos get their left eye replaced by a camera pearl eye and it glows in the dark and never closes which is the reason whenever i never draw them with both eyes closed…

Forget Luffy or whatever. Baller phos is way better. Phos can stretch their limbs so far… AND they can mold and bend into whatever they want. Come on thats so cool-THEY CAN MAKE MORE HANDS AND ARMS.

okay so i've been working on some hadestown designs on and off for MONTHS and i wasnt planning on posting them until they were all done but i decided to post what i have done to maybe motivate me to finish the rest. so heres the two main couples!! every time i listen to hadestown a little fake production plays in my head so i wanted to get it out into the world. notes under the cut i have a lot to say <3

my orpheus is a butch lesbian idc you cant take this away from me

i'm bringing back the jean jacket from the london production because i love it so much but ALSO because its always bothered me that orpheus is the only human character that doesnt get a jacket for the winter?? it's worn for some scenes in act 1 including wait for me but is gone in act 2. i imagine she lost it at some point during the journey to the underworld, especially because its so hot down there

the idea was that orpheus' clothes are pretty nice (nice slacks, nice shoes) but theyre all worn out. scuffed shoes, baggy knees, holes in the shirt etc etc

patch on the knee matches eurydice's dress <3

i like the idea of eurydice having a bright dress under her huge dark coat. during summer she is happy and opening up to orpheus so her wardrobe changes to reflect that. but on the flip side during winter when her coat is stolen she is forced to bare her raw self to hades

she keeps her headband even in her hades uniform to show shes still holding onto her fading memories and individuality

okay so while i was working on this i came to the realization that i dont really like persephone's dress that much. and then i realized i can do whatever i want.

i referenced a lot of 30's evening gowns. i wanted something poofy and with a lot of movement. not super happy with how i drew the sleeves but its hardddd

theres this one persephone wig that has gray streaks in her hair i loveeee

both dresses of hers would be very shimmery and sparkly. im imagining a lot of subtle texture thats just hard to capture with digital art

König x female reader

Just a little dabble nothing much. Who should I do next?

Warnings: none

-Finding out you were pregnant-

You knew König and you wanted kids, but not this early. You two had just gotten home from your honeymoon, now you were standing in the bathroom, holding 2 pregnancy tests, both reading the +…positive. You didn’t know how to feel, if you should be crying from panic or overjoyed. You thought the birth control would be effective enough, that and you didn’t think your body could be able to produce a baby, you had Polycystic disease, it greatly reduced your chances of having a child. You had this talk with him, König knew, he loved you with or without a functioning uterus.

Now here you are in your shared bathroom holding the tests. A huge blessing, your mom would say, but right now you were scared. Not at König’s reaction, but leaving the freedom that you once had… You shook your head, this baby is a blessing, to beat the odds, you weren’t going to walk alone in this journey. You had an amazing husband, friends, and loving family on both sides to help and you and your husband on this journey. It was going to be tough but life was never meant to be easy.

“Min Engel! I’m back” You could hear the door shut followed by the heavy footsteps and the bags of groceries being placed on what you presumed to be the kitchen counter. Your mind raced as you were trying to figure out what or how you should address this. With a heavy sigh, you just simply grabbed the pregnancy tests and place the mayonnaise Ziploc bag. You wanted to tell him now, you need to know how he felt you needed comfort because you weren’t even sure what emotion to play or to feel.

Carefully making your way downstairs and placed the two tests in your back pocket as you walked over to give your husband a hug. König had really mellowed out for the three years he knew you. Everybody knew him as standoffish, quiet, sociably awkward. His team knew him for being aggressive, demanding, proud, and bold. But slowly they started to see the change, And soon he had completely been mellowed out. He was still as demanding and aggressive on the battlefield by those urges, to prove that he was better than the best pet seem to dwindle to mirror, shrugs of the shoulder and more compliments on those who beat him. In the civilian lifestyle, he was a lot more calm, less jumpy, and 1000 times more sweet.

When he saw you, he couldn’t help but smile you pulled him out of a dark moment in his life, and he cannot be more happier. That is why he called you his angel because he swore you came from heaven just to bless him with your presence. “ Ah how are you?” He drew you into a big bear hug and kissed you tenderly. He blue-grey eyes sparkled as he stroked the side of your cheek. “Um well.” You sighed, now nervous. “Ummm here�� you handed him the pregnancy tests. He took them and frowned a little in concentration. Then his widened and shot his head up to look at you “Is this for real?!?” He was breathing heavily looking back at you then at the tests “Please don’t joke.”

“I’m not” you shook your head, “we are going to be parents.” König grinned like a mad man as he scooped you up into his arms and laughed as he held you tight. “Ah min Engel! This is the best news I could ever ask for!” He was swinging you around and kissing all over your face. “You’re beautiful, stunning, just…. Min scatz.” He cooed as he sat you down back on the ground, then he noticed the uncertainty in your eyes. “Whats wrong? Dont you want a baby with me?” He asked. His question made you break down crying. “I-I don’t know what I want! I want one but not this early! I love you but I don’t feel fit to be a mom. I’m selfish! I just want my freedom!” König, without second thought, brought you into another hug, this one being gentle and comforting. “Oh my beautiful. Your not selfish, your right it is too early but we can make do. I promise you can do whatever you need to do and I’ll look after the baby. I never want you to be tied down.” He stroked your head as he picked you up and carried you to the couch, right now u needed to cuddle and be reassured that everything was going to be ok.

After 20 minutes of solid crying, you finally calmed down. “Fell better?” He asked soothingly. You just nodded and kissed him. “I’m sorry-“

“don’t be, there is nothing for you to apologize for.” König smiled at you.

“You promise not to leave me?”

“Never in a million years.”

-Finding out the gender-

“Ok miss the gel is going to be a bit cold.” The doctor informed as the blue goo was placed over your four month belly. König never left your side. He had become more protective of you and baby proofed the house well before they arrived, this in turn meant you were not allowed to do much. After an argument with him, he realized he was suffocating you and did back down quite enough, but he still hung around just close enough to be there for you.

Right now he was hunched over in the seating chair next to your bed as you both watched the screen. The doctor was showing you all the signs that it was a healthy pregnancy, and the baby was…. Wait… the doctor paused and looked at the screen again before chuckling “You two are having twins!”

T-Twins?!? Your mind went blank, you had two babies in you, made by the love of you and your husband… and the 8 rounds of beer… but that was beside the point. Two beautiful babies that would look like a perfect mix between you and König. A small smile spread. “What gender are they.” You felt your husband’s hands clasp your own as he waited to know the results. “You got… 2 girls.” The doctor smiled at the happy couple. “Girls?! Min gött. Now I have to boyfriend proof the house.” You laughed at his dismay, you knew König would love his babies no matter what gender they were. He was very happy that his two beautiful girls were healthy. He reached over and gave you a big kiss. “Thank you. Thank you for making my life better.”

-König Bulking up-

As you were nearing your due date König that surprisingly gained weight as well. Apparently this was normal and very common in dad’s as their bodies were also preparing for their children. a trait that many had as the mothers near the end of their term men prepare their bodies to deal with the long nights and short amount of sleep. Their bodies naturally start bulking up on fat. by all means not fat, but you could definitely tell that he was a lot more squishier to sleep at night than he previously was. He was still as strong as a bull though.

Because he had bulked up quite a bit a lot of times while you were struggling in your sleep at night he would turn himself into your personal body pillow and reposition himself so that you would be a little bit more comfortable. A lot of times he would even hold your belly for you, whether you were sitting down and reading or watching TV or cooking in the kitchen, he would come up behind you and gently lift your belly up, which always made you feel instant relief.

He knew the pregnancy was tough on you, emotionally and physically. He was willing to put overtime to make sure that you were as comfortable as could be. In his eyes, this was the least that he could do. You weren’t ready to have a kid, but he kind of was. So he saw as his responsibility to make sure that you had the easiest pregnancy.

Right now you were snuggling with him on the couch as he was gently massaging your belly. He could feel the little girls kicking around in your stomach. He smiled and gave your head a Gentle kiss as he continued on massaging your belly. He was proud that he was able to provide for you. He was proud to know that he was the one that you chose to marry, he was proud to be the one that could give you children. This pride made him extremely happy. He couldn’t wait to share this life with you.

-After the birth-

König and you were staying in the hospital for a few days as your body was recovering from the C-section. Because of how big your babies were, they had to be removed by C-section in order to be a safe delivery. König hold onto your hand. Just the doctors opened you up and had your kids come out of the skylight. The healing was quite painful, but thankfully you had amazing family and friends to come and help with the preparations. Königs mom and dad made food to store in the freezer so all you had to do was just pull it out reheat it and eat. Both you and your husband’s friends had all brought gifts to your baby shower that you had a few weeks prior, some of them also brought food to be stored.

Right now you and König we’re both together as you were feeding your daughters. It was hard to accept the fact that these two beautiful angels came from you and your husband. They look so much like him. They had the same crinkle around their eyes, the same tuft of blonde hair, those beautiful eyes that reflected in the same way his did.

As you were feeding one, König was holding the other and gently rubbing her little head and giving her forehead gentle kisses. He was talking to her in German. Smiling and giving her more little kisses.

Once you were done you handed off the fed baby to get the other one from his arms. A very careful swap. Soon you have the other one in your arms as she quickly latched onto your breast and began sucking away. “They suck harder than you do” you teased at your husband as he turned the bright red in the face. “ not in front of them!”

“ oh, please! They’re not gonna remember this”

“ they might!”

“ ever since you saw that one episode from Sheldon your paranoid about the kids knowing their life at an early age”

You couldn’t help yourself but smile at him. During this time he had really dug in deep. he made sure that you and the girls were comfortable and taken care of. No matter what he would always watch over his family. Give them everything that he could offer. And strive to be the best husband and father in the world. He didn’t need much all he needed. Was you and his little girls.

-König and the Crotch Goblins-

“Min shatz! meine kleinen Käfer! I’m home!” he called from the door as he took his boots off. The next thing he knew he was being tackled by two three-year-old girls, who decided to sneak around the corner to bring attack him. “Ahhh nooo!!!! The evil goblins got me!!! Ahhhh! If only there was an angel to save me~” he called loud enough for you to hear, but of course you had to laugh, “This time you’re gonna have to save yourself. Your angel is busy.”

“What?! Nooo!!” he let himself fall to the ground as the girls began to climb all over him. They were very active they were always causing mischief.

You walked over to see all three of them on the floor in the living room as the kids began to pin him down as best as they could. You rubbed your now three month belly. Pregnant again with your third child.

“If the little goblins let me up I can watch a tv show with you.” he bribed the girls as they quickly got off of him, eager to please, and more eager to watch their favorite shows with him.

Before they join them in their activities, he got himself off the floor and kissed you gently. “how are you and the baby?” he asked always attentive to your needs.

“ we’re doing good” you smiled as you felt his hand lower down to your slightly bulging stomach. it was still relatively flat but he could feel a difference.

” I don’t know how you do it but you become more beautiful as each day passes.” he gave you a gentle kiss. “ let me finish dinner for you. I want you off your feet. You’ve been on it all day I’ve got it.”

You obliged. Your feet were hurting and you honestly did want to rest. So you took the place of your husband watched a TV show with the girls as König went into the kitchen to finish what was left for dinner prep. This was the life that he wanted, and he would never trade it for anything in the world.

a year!!! as of today i have now been drawing these funny little pizza freaks, to the exclusion of almost everything else, for!!! an entire year!!! i wanted to do a nice group shot/lineup of everybody to compare to when i first started trying to draw them because oh boy were they bad. i never even posted most of them anywhere because they were so bad. but im posting them here, now, to see how everything's changed/evolved.

this is probably the hardest time i've ever had trying to figure out how to work with a style, but we got there eventually; i'm pretty happy with the handle i've got on everybody now...dont let ur memes be dreams. lots of unimportant journaling and idle thoughts abt it below.

the first one is the VERY first time i drew them, before i thought i was going to actually have any interest in drawing them [lmao]; it was just the one isolated image, for my friendserver, to illustrate the funney message, so there was no attempt to make it Good or actually understand anything going on w/ the designs or style.

second is the original run of practices sketches to start trying to figure them out for real; done after i started having ideas for the comics and such and realized oh god maybe i am actually gonna draw fanart for this. [again, lol, and lmao.]

third one is the first pt art thing i posted on here. there were a couple weeks of sprite studies between this one and the previous image. the one on the top right wasn't part of that post i just threw it on as space filler; i'd intended to shift to doing Sprite Redraws But Stylized to explore tings more, but that was the only one i did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

individual characters

peppino: by far the hardest dear god. bro what ARE your shapes how DOES your face work. jesus christ. everything i have trouble with this style for, peppino has it in excess. i draw in polygons! i need consistency! and that is the last thing this kind of style is concerned with. they are made of squarshy clay and i do not understand how to mold them. i was really hoping trying to learn this game's style would GIVE me that kind of flexibility for fun exaggerated facial expression but i don't think much came of it in the end 😔. anyway on the bright side all this means once i got peppino figured out a little bit everybody else clicked way easier.

fake peppino: honestly i never did anything with him on purpose except for how his eyes work + the perma-smile thing. i figured ok hes supposed to look weird and off model so whatever happens with him happens. and it did. and it kept happening. it is still, in fact, happening.

noise/ette: somehow, for every bit that peppino was the least natural thing i've ever tried, these two worked pretty much right off the bat. i still don't understand it, seeing as pretty much all the things at play for peppino are also at work for them. i think the new sketches are actually a little worse than older ones but not enough that i care.

gustavo: really funny bc i drew him on model twice and just went 'okay, cool nice, easy, um. he doesn't have any fucking legs?' fortunately he was the only one i had a strong idea for how to stylize him [square] and it worked exactly as i was hoping so wahoo.

brick: is an animal and therefore 5000x easier and more natural for me to draw/stylize than anything else in the cast. that is Just a rat bro. i can draw a rat.

gerome: i think the funniest one here. the most drastic and least necessary change imo. i was gonna have him be really small at first, like smaller than the noises, but then i just... didn't. he's just peppino-sized now. also i gave him like. actual human facial structure, which is funny bc in most cases i'd do anything to avoid, but it works well for his being A Rock to give him some angles and definition like that+ to differentiate his vibe from the rest of the cast who are all very squishy. also since he is essentially Just A Head it's good to emphasize that too ig.

john: i only drew john a couple times but he gets to be here because i like him. and because most of the stuff i applied to gerome was readily applicable to john, though i did try to keep him a little more uncanny because he is a Huge And Lanky Freak. i hate that he is barefoot btw but idk how to make his color balance look right with shoes.

pizzahead: i did not want to put him on here honestly but i Have drawn him a handful of times and more importantly i didn't know what i was gonna do with john's pose if i didn't have him there to be glared at. the only thing that's different with him is giving him wider-bottomed pants, which i got from when i tried to draw these guys in clone high style [i never posted that one either][i will eventually]

snick: he gets to be here because 1. he's like 6 lines 2. i like him and 3. ive scribbled him a few times offhand and it went pretty well

misc

there are some guys missing because those are guys i didn't draw enough [or at all] to have gotten comfortable with them. sorry

i would have Liked to shade these but for the time being i have accepted that my grasp of light/shadow has decayed to the point im not going to be happy with anything i try there, so For Now i am working on my presentation with flats i guess. gerome has a shadow only because he's shaded like that ingame and looks naked without it

anyway if you are still reading [hi?] i get to shamelessly plug now. i'm over the hill of my pizza run now, and while i still have plenty of things i want to make here, most of the bigger more in-depth ones have passed. pizza tower was the first thing in THREE YEARS to get me out of my oc groove to doing fanart, and once i am done with my ideas here i will be going right back to it. if you like my art or how i write characters/interactions you should check out my oc/webcomic blog @jamverse . i can't promise people who like pizza stuff will be terribly into my designs, but i can guarantee i treat my guys with the exact same sort of tone i handle the pt guys with. and hell, i've mentioned it a few times before, but like 70% of my characterization for fake pep is just copied off one of my characters, so if u are going to miss him... he will still be there in spirit >;p

A little look-back through 2024, how fun!

January

Certainly a range going on, dungeon meshi, moomin, rottmnt, and whatever is happening to Rhode. I don't think I really drew much during Jan, all things considered.

February

A failed attempt at amphiburary- school took over, or something- and a lot of oc art! overall I did more art that month and while some of it bugs me, and i dont have pleasant memories attached to it, i still like a lot of what I did. Got experimental 'n stuff!

March

Its all OC art baybe!! and some stuff included that I never posted. Rhode (the ginger with glasses) is my special little guy and I had plenty happening in a rp thing I do. You can see how his nose hadn't reached its full evolution yet.

April

Again with the oc stuff! Rhode persists! March was the eclipse, which honestly I forgot happened this year... man that feels like so long ago. Also, I did some stuff with my magical girl ocs, a rare treat! I honestly really like that art set I did, the magazine idea was cute

May-June

I did a lot of mostly complete artworks these two months, but theyre 90% oc art so I figured i could shove them together. You can see me experimenting with coloring and rendering in some of these. Also, I visited rottmnt again for a lil bit in June! Honestly I was having a great time drawing me and my friend's ocs

July

And so I discovered Reigen. Plus some more rhode n other ocs. But mostly it was Reigen. Mob psycho is great, i had a great time watching it. Kinda wanna go back and rewatch it but all for another day.

August

didn't draw as much in august, i had a really fun trip I went on that I spent the month preparing for! Love ren fairs. But what i did draw was (drum roll) oc art! Rhode, Lamp, Ann and otheres- theres a decent variety here. Still mostly Rhode, though.

September-October (and so my Michael obsession begins)

So um. Michael, amiright? honestly i have so much fun drawing both michaels, its a damn delight. ive been so happy at the reception of them from everyone too- i draw michael solely for myself but i do like it when my work makes others happy

November

Honestly some good michael art from november. plus the creation of Clear Image AU! I have less to say about these last too months, since itd be less looking back and more recapping what is basically yesterday.

Whatever the reason, love had nestled itself in your heart, its roots digging deep, intertwined with comfort and solace.

Yet, today felt different. The weight of the world pressed down upon you like an unrelenting force as you sat on the edge of the couch in your shared living quarters at the Avengers compound. You could hear the faint hum of power sources and the flurry of activity beyond the walls. Outside, the world was still trying to recover from the battle that had left scars on both earth and soul, but within you, a deeper battle raged.

"Hey, you okay?" Natasha's voice broke through the fog of your thoughts, her eyes searching yours with a fierce concern that made your heart skip. Dressed in her usual black attire, with her hair cascading in soft waves, she looked every bit the formidable warrior, yet here she was, softening into a supportive presence.

You forced a smile but the weight behind it faltered. "Just tired," you murmured, hoping it would end there.

Natasha’s hand reached out, gently squeezing yours. “Tired of fighting. Tired of all of it,” she said, her voice a soothing balm that soothed the cracks in your heart. “You don’t always have to be strong, you know? We’re all fighting our battles.”

Before you could respond, a burst of energy flared up, and Wanda appeared, her crimson attire blending seamlessly with the energy around her, wild strands of magic weaving through the air. “I could feel you, my love.” She approached with a mixture of concern and determination. “What’s bothering you?”

In that moment, the barriers began to dissolve. “I just feel… lost,” you finally confessed, words tumbling out like marbles that scattered through the air. “After everything, I don’t know where I belong anymore.”

Wanda’s fingers paused in their gentle weaving of magic as she listened intently. “You belong with us, here. But you need to feel that, feel it in your soul,” she said, her tone sincere.

Natasha gently tilted your chin up, her green gaze piercing into yours. “You’re not alone. You never have been and never will be as long as we’re together. We’ll face this together, no matter what.”

“But what if I can’t find my way? What if I’m just a burden?” Your voice faltered as tears threatened to spill, the weight of your insecurities crashing over you.

“Listen,” Wanda said, a glimmer of determination sparking in her expression. She moved closer, creating a small bubble of intimacy. “Every battle we have fought has its own scars, but they don’t define us. They remind us of what we’ve overcome. You are stronger than you know.”

Natasha nodded, brushing a few stray hairs from your face. “And burdens? We all carry them. But we also help each other carry those burdens. You’re never a burden to us.” Her voice turned softer, more intimate. “You are our light, our joy. You breathe life into this place.”

That was the moment when it clicked in your heart—their love was a force of nature, unyielding and bright. You grasped tightly to Wanda’s sleeve and Natasha’s hand, feeling the solidarity of their presence. Their faith in you fortified your spirit, helping the brittle edges of your heart mend.

As the night unfolded, laughter echoed through the compound. There were flour fights in the kitchen, playful jabs regarding baking skills, and a cacophony of terrible singing during movie time. In moments of chaos and joy, your heart felt lighter, free from the burdens that had weighed it down.

Later, as the three of you nestled together on the couch, the tender warmth of their presence enveloping you, you realized that your world, once blurred by uncertainty, was now filled with colors you never knew existed. i drew.. a lot of mcyt this year! as in "everything but April is mcyt". this is awkward because that means i dont think any of this actually ended up on this blog. i dont think i posted my pngtubers either. um. hm

pushing that aside, im really happy with how my art has evolved. ive gotten very comfortable with lineless art, and have been playing around a lot with shading, colors in general, and new brushes. (most of the brush testing didnt make it on here.) more than that, i feel like im getting better at anatomy and proportions and drawing people in general. sameface syndrome is always going to be a problem for me, but i like to think i can at least pull off different body types and thats something im going to continue messing with.

ive also been doing a lot of style switching. obv theres lined vs lineless, but also level of detail vs simplicity. i kinda do it based off mood so its not very consistent, but im fine with that rn.

the thing im most proud of is that i have a finished stand-out piece for every month (and some of them were actually hard picks). ive gotten down on myself before about whenever we hit an art slump, but even in months where we didnt draw as much we still had something that was cool we could show off.

im sorry we havent been as active on here-- again, we've been on mcyt lockdown-- but im looking forward to whatever happens next year. Rescue is still coming together, even if slowly, and we'll hopefully be able to post character design concepts. we're also considering maybe doing adoptables? we'll see.

i drew the sbg characters if they were in my comics magic system heres a long post talking about their abilities

i somehow did doodles of all of them in one day lol. THIS IS GOING TO BE A VERY LONG POST BE CAREFUL ABOUT CLICKING READ MORE THIS IS JUST ME YAPPING ABOUT MY COMIC AND ABOUT SBG

ok so the magic system of my comic is basically this: your eye color aligns with a “concept”, and each concept turns into a very unique super power for each individual. it can be anything, as long as it fits the concept. literal or metaphorical. i designed this power system to be very vague so you can be super creative

ill explain each concept as i go down, but i basically switched the sbg cast with my cast, so all of them are called “duo ranked” and have heterochronmia, and their concepts have mixed together to create a new, entirely unique power that fits both concepts in its own creative way.

i also kept one color for every character except for aiden. i kept his red eye, because if i didnt i would be doing FOUR BROWN RANKS and i want to show off this system so ill only do 3 lmao

heres how it went:

starting off with ashlyn, her ability came pretty easy. i kept her green eye(the concept of growth) and gave her a white eye(the concept of enhancement(typically of ones own values or senses)), and they mixed together to give her control over sound, more specifically its volume and frequencies

its very useful for her, she avoids being overwhelmed way easier now and can switch off whatever is bugging her if it gets too loud. coincidentally, eavesdropping is INCREDIBLY easy, since she can just turn up a specific conversation she wants to listen in on. and she can manipulate frequencies so she makes tyler voicecrack all the time because its really funny. very simple power and its perfect for ash. her drawing turned out okay, i kinda rushed them all just to have them done dont expect high quality

I had a VERY fun time coming up with aidens power. he has his red eye(the concept of creation(self explanatory)) and i gave him a purple eye (the concept of perception, like illusions and such) and the two mixed together to allow him to turn duplicate illusions into reality (if he has enough strength to do so). he can create illusions that are specifically duplicates of objects, and they are only temporary for the time being until he actually ‘creates’ it, then of course it just permanently exists. he is limited to only a single duplicate, and one at a time. actually creating something is very draining

the only human duplicate he can make that will function correctly is himself, and he cannot make it more than a temporary illusion. he can make decoy human illusions, but he cannot make them real.

i had a lot of fun trying to draw his stupid hair it was good practice, im very happy with his drawing

next is tyler!! i put “pursuance” in the drawing because i never know how to describe it but tracking or pursual(is that a word??) is a better word i guess?? its in the works

I kept his brown eye(the concept of pursuit(being able to track things basically)) and gave him an orange eye (the concept of healing) and i gave him a pretty literal power of being able to track how far along the healing process an individual is. in turn, this also gives him the ability to sense when someone around him is hurt.

also, since he can track the healing journey, physically touching him will speed it up ever so slightly. if you have a stomach ache just go hug tyler and eventually you’ll feel better

now for possibly my favorite ability, TAYLOR :D! (featuring me forgetting the word pursuit exists and just putting ‘persual’ which may not be a WORD google LIED TO ME HELP DONT LOOK AT IT

ANYWAY just like tyler i kept her brown eye, and then i gave her a pink eye (the concept of connection), which gave me the idea of her being like tylers opposite. i wanted their powers to reflect each other, so where tyler can track physical injuries and how they heal, taylor can ‘connect’ with others and sense their mood and how it has recently been. almost like a graph!! sometimes she accidentally does it and gets overwhelmed trying to keep track of other peoples moods when she isnt prepared to handle it.

and just like tyler, physical touch from taylor will make you happy and calm (hugging taylor does that anyway) so she is like that scene in big hero six where they all lay on baymax because hes very warm and i love her

for the last time i kept bens brown eye because why does everyone have brown eyes, and then i also gave him white because i got a really really funny idea ok.

ben can track movement of people around him specifically, and he can enhance his own power. if he enhances it enough for one person, he can predict what their course of movement is about to be. its very immediate, so when hes trying to process it the action could very much already be happening. its very useful actually!!!

I kept logans blue eye (the concept of movement) and i gave him yellow (the concept of light) because yk yk hes a dlorist photosynthesis WHATEVER

he can basically control the movement of anything in bright light. the control on it he has depends on how bright the light is, so he finds it useful to keep a flashlight on him

Hello!! Im really happy to hear that :)

I have LOOOTS of hcs for the both of them!! Ive been fixated on these two for four whole years i genuinely have too much to mention in one post lol so if you have any specific questions about specific hcs, do tell me!! Its a bit difficult to answer very broad questions like this bcs i dont know where to begin haha;;

I can very confidently say though, Illumi is absolutely nowhere near shy. At least-- not by the definition. In my eyes, Illumi is a very blunt and straightforward person with no social filter. I do like to think when it comes to hisoillu in general Illumi gets flustered here and there when dealing with his husband like any normal human in love is to be. But when it comes to being an actual shy introvert like hisoka-- absolutely not. You can tell the difference between how Illumi deals with people vs Hisoka. Hisoka is like the textbook definition of an introvert-- someone who constantly avoids people unless he wants to be the center of attention (mainly negative attention so it keeps people away anyways)

General hisoillu hcs would be... I like to humanize them. I like giving Illumi moles, stretch marks and arthritis from his transformation and eyebags from the amount of times he stays up for his missions. Also scars from his training that are faded. For hobbies I like to think hes extremely interested in learning. Just learning. Whatever hes learning doesnt matter, but knowledge is a very prominent fact about him and the zoldycks in general. So while I hc hes extensively knowledgable about anatomy and the economic and political states of the world (those pretty much canon tho lol) and the world in general, I like to always write him extending his knowledge in fics like learning a new language in his spare time or reading books in general. I could expand much more on hobbies including people watching and hanging out with his siblings but i feel like if there is a tumblr word limit i would 1000% exceed it lol.

I like to give Hisoka freckles on his tan skin (in the manga his skin is quite tan) that he hides and many more scars that are also hidden like he'd hide his arm scars after machi healed them. also the one time togashi drew him with hip dips. I liked that! I like to give him a human backstory like initially having a family that he either abandoned or was abandoned by to go on his own journey (not necessarily tragic, though i do not think tragic backstories take away from a character no matter how evil tbh. If anything, I strongly believe that babies are blank slates when it comes to morals until theyre taught otherwise by their environment.) And positive hobbies like cooking for himself because he only ever relies on himself and doesnt trust anybody else, which also goes with the hc of him not being a fan of taking any medication so hes a "tough it out" girlie. which also consequently affects other hcs like my trans hisoka hc and him not getting top surgery until after he married illumi because he does not trust a mf to put him under during it but he does trust illumi-- ITS A LOOONG STORY

I also like to consider their reoccurring personality traits as symptoms for neurodivergence. Like Illumi's bluntness and overly honest personality being autism and his highly emotional sides to him being BPD (i do have a thread on that!) and for Hisoka his hyperactivity and addiction for stimulating fights as ADHD (the adhd video i made abt him covers some of it lol) and you could argue a personality disorder for him as well to match with his hubby.

Also the queer hcs like i mentioned, transmasc genderfluid hisoka that doesnt mind all pronouns that i also hc as demiaroace and pansexual/bisexual while for Illumi I hc him as gay demiaroace agender, etc. These help a lot in figuring out their identities too.

Stuff like that are just the "layouts" for them in my brain that help me immensely when writing fics for them. You have to know everything extensively for the actions that they make to come naturally so when you throw them in a situation, you immediately know how they'd react (ex: sick hisoka would refuse to take meds, or more specifically like in my fic tolerate me darling hisoka was cramping and refused to take pain meds for it so illumi had to use his pins etc etc)

Those are pretty much the surface hcs i have for them that I always consider when it comes to any scenario or extra hc or fic/art or anything. For anything very specific, you'd have to ask about it for my brain to remember ehehe ^^

Little things I loved in Haunted Mansion (2023)

I just saw Haunted Mansion for a second time, and yall,it's good. The way they were able to blend the horror with the goofy and make it feel like the ride. amazing.

(Spoilers under the cut) here's all the little things I loved about the movie

1- this ones probably not anything but a coincidence but when Ben and Alyssa first meet the streamers are placed between them. I grew up Mormon (its complicated now) and whenever we drew the veil between life and death it was always a bunch of squiggly lines, like the streamers. Idk if that's like a thing in other religions too but I just thought it was interesting.

2- Gabby straight up saying "Nah. We're out." The second she noticed the spooky shit. Its an accurate and appropriate response that's not really used in this genre.

3- on that note I love the idea that they were basically forced to come back/stay. It advances the narrative and keeps them at the setting but it's not a bottle episode. Or movie.

4- Forced 👏 proximity 👏found👏family. They're all in the same room like 90% of the time no matter where they're at. And when they split the party for too long shit goes down.

5- Ben talking about his wife and his grief. The whole scene with him telling his friends about her and how she died, and Bruce almost immediately making a probably not appropriate joke that just made everyone laugh. It felt so real, like a real conversation. And the ghost winks. I have definently had those in my life but never had a name for it

6- Also the way they talk about grief?! Howthey show different characters dealing with it. How no matter who it is its like "you're hurting.it's ok. Let's get through it together" amazing.

7- The entire cast brought their A game in this movie. They knew what kind of movie this was and totally went with it

8- They ride references were amazing. The stretching room. the doom buggy chair. The forever hallway. Constance Hatchaway. Gracey. THE HAT BOX GHOST. Crump being the last name of one of the imagineers and his manor looking like the ride in wdw.

9- The music was so good! The jazz influence. SUPERSTITION. Grim Grinning Ghosts being prominent but not overwhelming. I wish the ending song was longer though.

10- the way they showed the passage of time with the moon phases and different outifts

11- Gabby and Ben's relationship remaining undefined. Imo this was not the time for them to get together, at least not immediately, what with (gestures broadly to everything) going on. The flowers he gives her at the end could be a romantic gesture or one of friendship and gratitude. I like that whatever ishappening between them is taking its time, because its something they both need.

I know there's something I'm forgetting but I cant think of it now so if I remember it I'll add it later. I hope more people go to see it I would love to see a sequel. Maybe they explore phantom manor or mystic manor (actually I dont remember if that one actually has any ties to the other mansions/manors)

General thoughts: Ive given them in my previous design sheet (you can find it in my blog)(tldr: designs match characters but still childish, 8-12 years old). Only thing different here, is that these eggs were eggs who I had less of a clear idea of what I wanted to do with them (though I still really liked where I ended up!!)

Empanada: Didnt want to go for the full sweet lolita route, mostly because I thought it'd take away the "little kidness" of it all, but something that still resembles the aesthetic. She's wearing "carneirinhos" (idk the name in english) which is very cute little girl to me, and shes also a demon! Her tail resembles a frying pan!! Though I might change her fringe (it was supposed to be baby hairs but now that I think about it, her type of hair probably wouldnt have them) and put some argyle pattern in her sweater vest. I just forgor💀 to do that...I also wish I had made her shorter, but unfortunetely I drew this before the eggs did the height check (YES ITS BEEN THAT LONG).

Sunny: My beautiful baby girl. She means the world to me. I love this minecraft egg with all my heart. Shes wearing Light up sketchers and some fairy wings like Pomme, and shes actually wearing a swimsuit, she just put a tutu over it. The diamonds they're always holding are rings, they have a "terere" in their hair (idk name in english😭😭) and the beads were inspired by an artist on twt (@\BLUETOMATOSODA). Also if you are wondering why her hair looks like tentacles, its because I had originally made it puffy, but changed my mind after doing the lineart, so i had to get creative with me covering it up. Just pretend she has a fan, shes a star after all!

Pepito: Basically, he is very smoll. Chiquito even. He has strawberry hair and MASSIVE glasses that take up his entire face. Hes wearing a swimsuit aswell (dont ask how it works idk either), and has floaties since he cant swim. Hes got crocs, since flip flops hurt his toes, with a spider man charm on them! Also hes got a sunhat, mostly cause I wanted some other accessorie but didnt want to go with gas mask since it'd kinda kill the whole swimming vibe (since his model is wearing a swimsuit). sorry if its not too accurate to his character. Side note: Him, Em and Sunny all have freckles! Him and Sunny all over their bodies while Em just has on her cheeks.

Leo: Cute sporty vibe, love her shorty spiky hair. Wanted to try to make her face spiky aswell, for the whole shark dad thing. Shes got a necklace with a shark tooth (I guess she got it from Foolish??). He changes tshirts randomly, and opens and closes his attack on titan hoodie depending on the tshirt's expression (basically my version of Leo changing her player heads constantly). His trainers have dragon wings and also: whealies!!

Dapper: Im gonna be honest: did not expect to like his design THIS much. The colouring really elevated, with the long blue hair (the same colour as the ghosties!). Wanted to make them, y'know, dapper, so I had to sacrifice some of the "little kid vibes" unfortunetely, but I think it fits her still. The hat has part of the helmet that they used to wear a lot, demon horn to match Pomme, and a suit that is VERY inspired by Death the Kid from Soul Eater (very fitting for a reaper in training imo). Might be my favourite design!

Ramon: Jesus fuck you'd think designing your fav egg would be easy BUT NO. I struggled long and hard. Again, he doesnt have that much "little kid" vibe whatever man😭😭 Im just happy that I even managed to make SOMETHING. Hes got Create googles, his meathead is a massive hat that completely hides his hair. Very simple, very Ramon, though I will probably end up making a version with an ugly sweater just like he likes instead😔. I still like it but. man...

hiiiiiii do you have any tips for drawing Kirk? 🙏 TvT William Shatner’s stupid face is getting every single one of my goats

to be honest i’m really not particularly confident in my ability to draw william shatners elusive face and i think he looks different every time i draw him so what i’m gonna say is less specific and more just about capturing the likeness of real people/characters or models based on a real person’s likeness

long answer under the cut but my short answer is if you’re drawing kirk and you can tell it doesnt looks right but dont know why make his forehead bigger. im serious it fixes the problem for me like 85% of the time LOL

this is perhaps just obvious advice but just having a reference collage for people/characters you draw often is really helpful. i find i often need detailed references for clothing/environment designs but the principle is the same for drawing a face. it helps to understand something from several angles, this is just a collage of references i use but if im being a hundred percent honest i almost always just skim the kirk daily or spirk daily accounts on twitter when im looking for a particular angle. LOL

also im prefacing this by saying this is not something i sat down and meticulously thought out i just draw a lot of fanart and subjects from observation. i do a lot of this on subconscious level and have just absorbed some things also from seeing what features other artists emphasize!

when you're stylizing a character, whether they are the likeness of an actor or a model or whatever it helps to just try to break down their defining features. this is easiest when you have another or several other characters to contrast against. bones and spock are the most obvious here, since the three of them are often in the same shot. for example, bones and spock are more angular than kirk, but spock looks lankier, while bones always looks a little haunched over. shatner doesn't have a very defined jawline (which is most obvious from a 3/4 or profile view) and his cheeks are fuller which shows the most when hes smiling. he has a pretty low brow too, and a wider forehead. from a profile view you can see the shadows that emphasize his sloped nose. the length of his hair fluctuates throughout the show, so i tend to just pick a partiuclar way of drawing it and stick to it lol. i like to draw the little curl that sits on his forehead and make the shorter sides slightly wavy

as far as movie era kirk goes, generally what is said before still rings true. again, it helps to have another person to compare too. as nimoy got older, his laugh lines deepened and his cheekbones hallowed slightly. again this contrasts a lot with shatner when they're next to each other because his face is fuller and i find the more defining wrinkles on his face are around his eyes and forehead. his hair is obviously a tighter curl, he often does still have one curl fall on his forehead.

other than that the biggest advice i can give is to practice... for every successful kirk i draw know that i fucked up at least three times before that.

a lot of this work in observing what features are defining on a face or what i want to emphasize is sort of intuitive to me, and sort of personal preference. its just how i do it, and you might find a process that works better for you. drawing a bunch directly from a reference and then stylizing from there is generally something i find is most helpful though

typing this all out is making me sound kind of crazy like i spend hours a day dissecting william shatners face but its kind of just the small quick decisions and comments everyone makes to themselves while drawing from observation i think... but now vocalized. which sounds a little insane all together like this. i promise im really normal i just drew him like 30 times over from various angles when i was making my tsfs comic. LOL
