Ugh this site makes me feel like a psychopath (not affectionate). Anyways. while i continue to work on shit and talk at myself like said psycho, i made some sloppy sketches to figure out halvah's translation from totk to ocarina of time. because why am i all over a ghost girl right now?? i also want to be a ghost and shed this mortal coil. right, here i go~
nix the floppy ears, and take elements from dampe, finally giving her that shovel staff. origin story? well holding over elements from her totk torture, I would place her as a relative of dampe (when making the bargainer lore, i had the idea of naming him as the tribe’s great ancestor who first spoke to the bargainers), so here’s that connection again. her and her fam are still forest hippies that commune with spirits but dampe was like nah im good, imma jus handle undertaking in kakariko. but her parents and siblings get ganked by hylian/gerudo crossfire once again and she’s orphaned. the mom knew just enough ghost magic to bind herself to halvah and be able to linger with consciousness intact. dampe takes his estranged niece in, but he’s not good at it so she grows up weird. weirder.
this is off the top of my head. but im feeling it~
i figured if i wrote another story, probably unsmutty, but about as dark... it would now be delightful tomfoolery! i have to kill her again, but that's about the only way you get bona fide ghosts, but... just the idea of her tryna haunt oot!ganondorf gives me a personal chuckle. just, fics that fuck, fuck with, fuck over villains (gimped wesker lol) tickled a fancy i didnt know i had. hylia forbid if she made it into the shadow temple though. she’s not an especially malicious spirit after death (good nature will always be her undoing) but as a spiritmage/ghostmancer, she gets a ghost mob boost when also a ghost. so for all the dps she doesn’t do, her buffing actual angry ghosts would be a bad time.
for now, she can just be a poe nuisance with her poe mom (couldn’t hold on to the poes of her dad and brothers this time around).
twice i’ve drawn oot!doof with his shoulders drawn in, like ew ghosts. ew ectoplasm. ectoplasmic coochie haunting him. deleting that pic, though, i’ll draw another that’s better. but halvah flipping him off THROUGH the back of his head briefly gave me life. next will be uselessly kicking him through the stomach or groin lol, idk. instead of making halvah a victim of cruel and unusual carnal punishment, i want to be like a fucking monkey on a dork’s back.
that’s about it.

Love, Hate, and Everything in Between
Five Hargreeves x Fem!reader
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
Y/N and Five had the kind of relationship that was equal parts fiery arguments and undeniable chemistry. They bickered over everything, from the best way to handle temporal anomalies to whose turn it was to make coffee. But beneath the constant banter, there was a deep connection that neither of them could ignore.
One particularly intense day, after a mission that had gone sideways due to Five's impulsiveness and Y/N's stubbornness, they found themselves alone in the Umbrella Academy mansion. The argument that ensued was explosive, with both of them yelling and gesturing wildly.
"Why can't you ever just listen to me?" Y/N shouted, her face flushed with frustration.
"Because your plans are always overly complicated!" Five shot back, his eyes blazing.
They stood there, breathing heavily, the tension between them palpable. Then, without thinking, Five stepped forward and kissed her. It was as if all the anger and frustration melted away in that moment, replaced by an intense, undeniable passion.
What followed was an incredible night filled with laughter, whispered confessions, and the kind of intimacy that transcended their usual love-hate dynamic. For once, they let their guards down completely, and it was magical.
The next morning, however, brought a new challenge. Klaus, ever the nosy sibling, had noticed the change in the atmosphere. As Y/N and Five tried to navigate their way through breakfast without making eye contact, Klaus sauntered into the kitchen, a knowing smirk on his face.
"Well, well, well," Klaus drawled, leaning against the counter. "What do we have here? Did our favorite bickering duo finally decide to make up?"
Five rolled his eyes, desperately trying to keep a straight face. "Klaus, mind your own business."
Y/N, blushing furiously, tried to focus on her coffee. "Yeah, Klaus. Can't you find someone else to bother?"
Klaus chuckled, clearly enjoying their discomfort. "Oh, but this is so much more fun. You two were like a ticking time bomb, and I, for one, am thrilled to see it finally go off."
Throughout the day, Klaus continued to drop hints and make suggestive comments, much to the annoyance of Five and Y/N. During a meeting, he winked at them, causing Luther and Diego to exchange puzzled glances.
"What's with you today, Klaus?" Diego asked, narrowing his eyes.
Klaus grinned. "Oh, nothing. Just appreciating the beauty of love in unexpected places."
Five groaned, rubbing his temples. "Can we please focus on the task at hand?"
Y/N shot Klaus a warning look, but he just winked at her. "Oh, come on, Y/N. Lighten up. It's all in good fun."
As the day wore on, Five and Y/N found themselves constantly bumping into each other, their usual bickering now tinged with a new, playful energy. Despite Klaus's relentless teasing, they couldn't help but steal glances and share secret smiles.
Later that evening, after everyone had retired to their rooms, Five found Y/N on the rooftop, staring out at the city. He approached quietly, slipping his hand into hers.
"Sorry about Klaus," he said softly. "He's impossible."
Y/N laughed, leaning her head against his shoulder. "It's okay. He's actually kind of right. We were a ticking time bomb."
Five smiled, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Yeah, but maybe that's not such a bad thing."
As they stood there together, wrapped in the warmth of the moment, they realized that their love-hate relationship had only made their bond stronger.
And if dealing with Klaus's teasing was the price they had to pay, it was a small one. Because for the first time, they knew that they were exactly where they were meant to be—side by side, ready to face whatever came next.

Post-Umbrella Academy S4 Reaction Part 6: Miscellaneous Thoughts and Master List (spoilers under cut)
Well, here we are! If you're just joining me, I've been spreading out my Season Four reaction essays over the past week, and now I'm finally done. Let's wrap up what we've already gone over, shall we?
"Part One: Reacting More to the Fandom than the Show," is me expressing discomfort at having enjoyed myself watching, and then coming online and seeing HATE HATE HATE. Oddly enough, as moods mellowed in both directions, it seems that I and the angry people actually have most of the same criticisms, so it's a...glass half full thing or something? Forest for trees? Horror for tenticles?
"Part Two: Still Not a Show Write-up, a Fraction of a Fanfic Instead," is when I got the most BRILLIANT (if possibly something only I would care about) idea for a fix-it, and shared the scene (from the middle) I'd spit out that day. I have gotten lots more ideas since, too! Expect a proper first chapter sometime...in the next month or so! (That's "soon" in Me-language).
"Part 3: Viktory!…ish," is me expounding on the thing I loved most about Season 4 (though also giving some tips on how it could have been improved).
"Part Four: On How to End a Story," is me expounding on the thing I liked LEAST about Season 4 (though also in a constructive way!)
"Part Five: On Love Triangles," is me expounding on probably the most controversial aspect of Season 4 (for which my opinions are mixed! Just to annoy the two extremes! Or just because that's what my opinions are, mixed, sorry)
So finally-- I couldn't stretch this out to an even seven posts, sorry Viktor-- I present to you ALL MY OTHER THOUGHTS THAT AREN'T COMPLEX ENOUGH FOR THEIR OWN POSTS! Under the cut, because I'm still trying to be unspoilery on main.
One Viktor thing I forgot to mention in his essay is that his voice has dropped like an octave (one of the reasons they had to skip a few years between seasons, I wager. The other obvious one being that there's no way Aidan Gallagher passes for Being in the Body of a 13yo anymore), and this still THROWS me. Apparently I keep character voices in my head when I’m writing, listening to their lines in their voices to keep them sounding like them, but I didn’t realize how FIRMLY the old pre-testosterone Viktor voice WAS lodged in my brain until suddenly it SOUNDS DIFFERENT. I have learned something about how my brain works with voices! It’s a bigger deal than I thought! I’m still struggling to replace the voice in my head, but I just keep immediately going to the old voice.
I’m really not sure about the career paths anyone took in the preceding six years. Ben getting mixed up in cryptocurrency, that is pretty funny— intelligent enough for him but also jerky. Allison as a(n actually) working actress, yes. Diego’s delivery driver, oddly yes, but wouldn’t it make more sense for him to have sought out janitorial work first, since he actually has experience? I already mentioned how I’m sad Viktor never got back into music— maybe a different instrument, if the violin is too traumatic. Maybe just teaching in general—he outright says in the available excerpts from Extra Ordinary that teaching was his passion. Whatever inspired him to open a bar? But at least I’m pleased he was so successful at it. Five as a CIA agent, yeahhh, that was one of the secret careers I figured all his theoretical physics students suspected him of having, but it might be a little TOO Commissiony to have sought out if he had a choice in the matter. I do think he enjoys going undercover at Keeper events though because they’re the only people crazy enough to listen to him when he tries to tell his story. But he’d never admit that. Lila is obviously unhappy about full-time momming, but why did she go that route in the first place if her parents live with them? Does Klaus not have a job? Why is it assumed he wouldn’t have a job? He’s sober now. I am still very pleased with myself for making him a VA counselor in “New World Symphony,” and I feel like everyone should embrace this headcanon of mine, because it’s genuinely good. I really don’t get Luther as a stripper —an exotic dancer— at all. I guess he was just THAT PLEASED about getting his human body back, but otherwise, how is that anything like the character we’ve known previously? Unless he’s making a point of trying to be NOTHING like his old self?
The deleted scene of Luther and Diego talking did a lot to show Luther’s mindset, and ties him back to the person he was, and it would have made his character make so much more sense if they’d included it. But it still doesn’t explain the stripper thing.
I recognized Klaus’s subplot from the comics, and was kind of proud of myself for doing so (I don’t think I’d read the comics before S3). I just wish it had anything at all to do with the rest of the story. Klaus’s deleted scene at AA is the biggest example of one of the deleted scenes making a huge difference in how different parts of the story might have landed— it wouldn’t have made his subplot affect the PLOT, but it WOULD have wrapped up his arc on a CHARACTER basis, and he would have seemed to be in a much better place to get annihilated from.
The timeline-hopping subway could have been used SO MUCH MORE, and more integrated into the main plot! I feel like they maybe intended to when they first came up with it but then never got their plot to tie together properly. At least there’s SO much fanfic potential in the concept!
I laughed aloud at the King Reg restaurant. There really should have been more of that— the end of Season 3 promised a lot more Reggie being Capitalist King of the World. Where’s Har-mart? I want my Har-mart in there. (That’s another “New World Symphony” reference).
Speaking of the promises of the end of Season 3, the Ben on the subway was so not an intermediate stage between Ben walking out of the garden and Ben getting out of prison. Who was he really, what was he going to be doing? If that’s the timeline-hopping subway, that opens up so many possibilities that were squandered!
Another Ben missed opportunity: Jennifer was in a squid. Ben has a squid(-like monster) inside him. This feels intentional but they never really followed up on it. This should have connected the two of them, not just that ANY Marigold-baby who touched Jennifer would set off the reaction. It should have been more clearly, specifically BEN. I’ve always loved the theory that “Jennifer” was the Horror’s name, and ended up using it in “A Captain with Seven Children,” so now I’m toying with the idea of what if there’s only one Squid, and Jennifer was inside the squid that was inside Ben, on some weird interdimensional level, and that’s why they feel Insta-Connection, because they’ve unconsciously known each other all along???? Doesn’t anyone else see this?!
Speaking of Jennifer, I remember somebody posting info about Season Four casting calls on Elliott’s House, and someone complaining why’d they have to scrounge up a new Love Interest Character anyway. MY theory was that she was actually a human Delores, and it wasn’t a NEW Love Interest Character at all. Well, I was half-right, it WASN’T a new Love Interest Character, it WAS someone we’d already heard about who was actually intrinsic to the plot, and I like that.
Speaking of Love Interest Characters, Sloane and Ray were done so dirty. There was no in-story reason why Sloane didn’t get remade with the others at the end of Season 3 after all. They just didn’t want her around anymore. Which, okay, you want to focus on your original cast (but then, Lila? You let Lila stick around, so why NOT Sloane?), but you could at least find a way to write her out that has some modicum of logic to it. Like, make her a Food-and-Travel writer and send her to Italy (sorry, yet another "New World Symphony" reference). And, look, I know being married to Allison is probably not a walk in the park, but Ray is not the type of guy to give up on his wife. If she’d been married to someone else, yeah, it makes sense that they’d leave her, but RAY? Totally not in character.
Speaking of previously established but not fully formed before Love Interest Characters, ABIGAIL. I said in the endnotes of the last chapter I posted of “New World Symphony” that because I was writing a straight-up AU, nothing that might happen in S4 would affect that story, but the one thing I WAS afraid of was that I might have gotten the characterization of Abigail (who, spoilers, will be showing up in Chapter Five) completely off. I had made her LESS cruel than Reggie, and she did seem likely to turn out to be a Bad Guy— but good news! Her Bad Guy turn feels not at all contradictory to her less-Bad-Guy presentation in my fic! I actually hit her personality fairly accurately!
I love the Allison and Klaus match-up— I feel like they always were friends, and they should have shown more of it in the past! It’s interesting that they seemed to be the only ones staying (deep) in each other’s lives at the start of the season. But I’m curious how they got back in each other’s lives in the first place. What made Klaus seek her out versus any of the siblings who apparently lived closer by? And what kind of overtures had Allison made to any of the others and them to her in those preceding six years? It seemed like some conversations must have taken place for things to be awkward but not so awkward that she doesn’t get invited to her niece’s birthday party.
I kind of liked Viktor’s calm “we’re not friends and that sucks but,” in order for them to get past their MASSIVE unresolved issues, but it didn’t feel quite past enough by the end. We may never be friends, but we will always be family, and I will stand by you, sort of thing, would have been enough.
I think the writers mixed up October and December. Why is Gracie’s birthday in December, when Lila was already several months pregnant at the beginning of April? October makes more sense. And yet Ben apparently died in October, even though the weather was pretty Decemberish at his funeral. Although, come to think of it, that could also have been a subconscious Viktor effect. Doubt Reggie rushed home to him and went, “Before we tell you what happened to your brother, take an extra dose of your pills! Just to be on the safe side!” Hence, a slightly unseasonal snowfall centered around Hargreeves manor.
Watching the teen Hargreeves interact is always fun. I liked that Viktor and Ben were hanging out— lends credence to the common assumption that they WERE friends (if not as close as V & Five were) as kids, and I appreciate that as someone who submitted a “567 are friends” fic to Masked Author this year. I also liked the alternate timeline Academies Five and Lila ran into.
Speaking of teenagers, or preteens, or however old she is, I never expected Claire to have such a big role, and I love her. She is clearly her mom’s daughter, yet remarkably well-adjusted.
Speaking of offspring, I wanted so much MORE of Diego and Lila’s kids. Gracie is such a brilliant mashup of her parents in what little moments we saw of her. But I couldn’t tell you anything about the twins, and I wish I could. Give me more generation-two cousins!
As you’ve probably gathered by my insistence on bringing up Legion throughout these essays, I always think of TUA as being tangentially connected to what I tend to think of as The Hawleyverse, what with there being SO much overlap in the crew and writers. It’s odd that the only actor overlap we got was Kate Walsh and Nick Offerman, both of whom had small side roles in one season of Fargo each, though. And I'm thinking of Fargo now, because I thought there was something very Fargo-esque about the introduction of Jean and Gene. They’re very Fargo-esque characters in general, really. I didn’t like them that much though. And I hate that Cher song they danced to.
I also hate “Bad Touch.” Really, I expect better from this music team! Oh, I just looked it up, Maggie Phillips only picked songs for the first season, that explains it. 😅 (Even Jeff Russo was phoning it in a bit though, I have to mention because a Legion background music song just came on my computer and it’s SO DANG GOOD and the music in TUA didn’t really give me that feeling this season). That said I DID like all the songs I HADN’T heard before, the subway song especially. Also, I appreciated them using Tommy James’ “Think We’re Alone Now” in the final scene, that seems like something the Proper Timeline got right, erasing that Tiffany version from our memories. Sorry! That album was such a cringey part of my childhood. I don’t like that the “oldies” station is now playing the Tiffany version instead of the Tommy James version.
But to end on a good note: The Deli of Fives. How utterly entertaining is that. Also, if “Max” is the name Grace would have given him if he wanted it, it fits him. King of All the Wild Things. May that brilliant kid now move on into a long and storied career. Or may he focus on college and get a Real Job, whatever works for him I guess.
That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. Feel free to converse with me on any of these thoughts! I really like being conversed with! It helps me know I’m not invisible! Viktor-complex, you know.

A bend in space-time Season 2 - [Chapter 3: A jumble of hair, leathers and linen]

BAM BAM BAM
Boy, is it my head, pounding like that again? I slept soundly last night, with no nightmares. I think my body is gradually recovering. That my wound will leave an ugly scar for not having been stitched up, but won't get any worse. I thought I'd got rid of the headache, but it looks like…
BAM BAM BAM
I sigh, and my hand searches painfully for my aspirin box, somewhere on the coffee table. I slept on the couch. Now that I know Wayne occupies the bedroom, I don't feel much like sleeping there anymore.
BAM BAM…
I'm hungry. So hungry… I wonder how I managed to sleep in this state. Honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do, as I'm out of money. Apart from dumpster diving or stealing, I don't see any options. Really, I swore I wouldn't do this anymore… and I've already stolen the Ouija. But suddenly I realize it's not my head knocking like that, but someone out there, beyond the wooden planks. Someone who…
BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM " All right! All right I…" "RIN, are you walled up alive in there, or something?" My eyes widen, for I realize that's not a grouchy neighbor, banging out there. "Oh God."
Crack !
In less than half a second, I'm outside, standing on the wet sidewalk. I turn around. And I see him, in a long, light-gray suede coat with fluffy bangs.
"Klaus, holy shit." "Great googily moogily, Rin!"
We both laugh loudly, probably attracting more attention than we should. I know, I swear a lot, but that's always what pops out in moments like this. Because my joy is boundless right now. And I can't believe my senses, as we merge into an inextricable mess of hair, beard (beard?) and motley clothes. Maybe I'm shaking a little, but so is he actually, and he could choke me if he keeps squeezing me like that. I pull myself free, with as much desire to laugh as to cry, I run my hand across my forehead, because I can hardly believe what I'm seeing.
(…)
↝↝↝↝ Read 'A bend in space-time' ↜↜↜↜ Full chapter : AO3 - Wattpad - FFN Season 1 completed : AO3 - Wattpad - FFN Season 2 in progress : AO3 - Wattpad - FFN
I chose to insert an OC - Rin - into the plot of The Umbrella Academy season 2, appearing almost only in deleted scenes. I try to give her an interesting story on her own. What to expect: digging into the psychology of the canon characters, seeing their daily lives through the eyes of an outsider, deciphering what's only skimmed over in the original series. A bit of fun, too, uh?
Any comment will make my day! ♡

eight minutes on ao3 - 3k, T, mattfoggy
So here’s the thing: Matt, like, really liked physical contact. Foggy had been collecting evidence for weeks now, and he was absolutely sure of this conclusion. Holding Foggy’s hand as they walked home drunk, melting beneath Foggy’s hands on his shoulders, the way Matt leaned into him whenever they sat close enough; he clearly loved to be touched. Foggy wasn’t sure why, maybe living in a catholic orphanage for seven years just did that to a person. Regardless, if Matt needed to be touched that bad, then god dammit, Foggy was going to touch him. Platonically. Without getting a boner, hopefully.
epitaph, elegy on ao3 - 3.4k, T, mattfoggy
Jack is in Matt's living room. Jack is living and breathing and just as confused as Matt is. He doesn't know why, he doesn't know for how long, but Matt does know one thing: he has to tell his father everything.
reeling with the feeling on ao3 - 1.6k, T, mattfoggy
from the prompt: Oh uhhh I'd die for something that involves Matt and Foggy at some hot spring or alternatively a warm bath because: sensory stuff half or completely underwater, water, your loved one in super warm funky floaty place.
snips and snails on ao3 - 1.5k, G, nb!matt/ftm!foggy
from the prompt: Something something Matt being wholesome to Foggy about their dysphoria. Bonus if Matt is nonbinary because what the heck is gender i can't see it anyway
a magical place where it never rained - 7.9k, T, mattfoggy, autistic!matt
Matt's got some... quirks. He waves his hands and he can't stand loud noises and holy shit does he know a lot about Thurgood Marshall. Foggy puts the pieces together and convinces Matt to do the same.
How to Be in Love with Your Best Friend: A Step-by-Step Tutorial on ao3 - 13.2k, T, mattfoggy
Matt and Foggy have been through the wringer. They've won and lost and cried and fought and died and come back and now... now it's time for Foggy to take a chance.
and then they do that more on ao3 - 4.6k, T, mattfoggy
Matt's overjoyed by the way his friendship with Foggy has been revived. They're even closer than they'd been before Midland Circle; now they say "I love you" every chance they get, and they hold hands when they walk together, and Foggy greets him with light kisses. He's so happy that Foggy's his best friend.
the shape of his smile - 2.2k, T, trans!matt x reader
There's never a time when you don't feel lucky to witness how Matt becomes himself.
the walk home - 3.8k, T, matt x transmasc!reader
On the walk home, you get mugged. Fucking of course you do.
just a little team-up - 8k, T, team red, established mattfoggy
At first, Matt really does not want to team up with Spider-Man, but, bit by bit, they start to learn more about each other.

OK YALL I HAD A REALIZATION YES IT IS FOUR AM AND I REDOWNLOADED TUMBLR JUST FOR THIS AND I MAY BE SLEEP DEPRIVED OR I MAY HAVE REALIZED SOMETHING HUGE
Tumblr media
These. These incredible albums that nobody ever talks about right????
Written by Gerard Way our KING! HOWEVER
What did he ALSO write? The Umbrella Academy. What do these two things have in common you may be asking? The numbers. So? Well the SO is the weapons. They match up for not one but TWO of them. Number two- Diego (knives) and Number Five- Five (Grenade)
Diego is fairly self explanatory but for those who don’t remember this iconic sequence of events in episode 1x07 (? The day that wasn’t one? I’m going with seven but don’t quote me on that) Five stole grenades from the Handler’s office (to be fair she stole them from history so it’s a wonderful case of karma bitch.) and then proceeded to kill her with them. This is probably one of the only times we see Five truly CHOOSE a weapon, his work with the commission done with guns as most work is, and in the doughnut shop he used what was around him. But this? This took planning. Aka Five is to grenades as Diego is to knives.
So how is this relevant? The other three. I’m pretty sure it’s explored more in the comics, but as for the show, we haven’t seen Luther, Allison, or Klaus REALLY get violent like Diego and Five do. Now.... if this were to be explored. I think maybe the weapons could match up with the characters to some extent. Luther is seen confronting Vanya with a pistol early in season two, but other than that the gun hasn’t been explored, but it really could.
As for Allison, please tell me I’m not the only one that would be so happy to see her use that thing on that album cover that I’m too tired to think of the name for.
And Klaus? Yeah I want to see him go axe throwing and have it go wrong ngl.
As for the MUSIC? Number one tends to be the angstiest? As is Luther a lot of the time the others are just traumatized and depressed but overall we skip their angst.
Number two.... let’s start with ambulance. “You don’t know a thing about this life/ and we are up for everything it takes/ to prove we’re not the same as them/ and we will wear our masks/ again out after dark/ cause we are up for everything it takes.” Diego is definitely a character that we have seen try to prove himself time and time again throughout both seasons. He turns into a vigilante and is the ONLY one who keeps up the masks in his work. And why? He’s trying to prove he’s worth something, yes, but also that he’s NOT like his DAD.
Number three is the sad one. This reflects much more of Allison in season one I think. It’s more about the beauty in sadness in my eyes, and I think it has to do with her relationship with Claire, especially in the second half of the season. As the world ends, it’s all about her daughter and seeing her go through that is an emotional rollercoaster.... much like the conflicting sides of number three.
I’m really too tired to do a deep dive into numero cuatro but the one thing my brain is linking is Klaus in the VERY first episode(s) to kiss the ring, which is just like YAY! THE KING IS GONE BE GAY DO CRIME! (Not the be gay part as much but it’s fun to say so there you go). This... is Klaus in the beginning especially need I say more.
Number five to me is really like the rallying anthems of the album (? Is it considered one? We’re going with it). And WHO is the one that forces everyone together? FIVE! Surrender the night is more about sacrificing things to move forward in life, which Five is trying to do by preventing all the many apocalypses caused by his poor siblings.
Anyways that’s my very deep dive into parallels between conventional weapons and the Umbrella Academy. The game is did this make sense or am I just tired? I’m hoping the answer is both but anyways in short conventional weapons is underrated and beautiful anddddd I think may foreshadow the future of the Umbrella Academy. Or I’m just losing it because I’m running off of no sleep and it’s exam week. Pick your poison.

Chapter 12: Team Zero
Tumblr media
Striding into the steam-clouded sauna where the two remaining Swedish assassins now silently relaxed, The Handler began an unprompted conversation in their language. “All the new age remedies out there, but nothing beats a good schvitz when it comes to stress,” As she sat on the bench, the two men carefully watched her. “My job can be stressful, sure. But I can’t imagine what it must be like for you boys.” She batted her eyelashes.
“Do we know you?” The Swede, who appeared to be the leader, questioned. The Handler kept her head turned forward as she stared down.
“No. But I know all about you,” Standing from the bench, she quietly chuckled and walked to the center of the sauna, the steam crawling its way up to her neck. “However, seems you’ve run into some problems on this job.”
“Just a snag.” He tilted his head.
“You lost your brother. I’d call that more than a snag.”
Snapping, the second Swede pushed off the wall and marched up to The Handler. Before he could get too close, he grunted when she grabbed hold of his manhood, freezing his steps. She watched as his mouth fell open in pain. “What if I can give you the location of the knife-hurling dolt responsible for blowing up your beloved brother?”
The first Swede tilted his head. “Who are you?”
“Somebody you’re going to want to know.” Her eyes never left the man she was assaulting. The second Swede finally found the breath within him to speak.
“Unharm my weiner.” He wheezed in English, The Handler kindly doing as he asked, a smile on her face. He sighed and stepped away as his brother held up the hand that had been twirling a knife the entire time.
“Go on.”
At his words, she turned to him. “I’ll give you the exact location of the one you’re looking for. Diego. The rest… I’ll leave up to your imaginations.”
“What’s in it for you?”
“Let’s just say that his little game of ‘Hide the Sausage’ with my daughter needs a swift end. I just have one request,” The Handler approached the first Swede, the two in close proximity now. He watched her every move. “Don’t hurt the little one with the cute socks… and the other with the face scars.”
Lifting his chin, he furrowed his brows. “We’ve already killed her.” He mumbled. She only chuckled in amusement, the two men stiffening at the realization that their target may not have been executed like they thought.
-------------------------------------------------
The clicking of Reginald and (Y/N)’s shoes against the marble floor echoed throughout the hallway they walked down. The young girl was desperately trying to keep up with her father’s long strides, her puppy in her arms and her heart beating out of her chest. If they had actually complied, she was going to reveal her true whereabouts for the past two years to her family. They were going to know that the entire time they had been looking for Reginald, she was living under the same roof as him. No matter how many times she swallowed the lump in her throat, it always swelled right back up. “D-Dad, who are these people we’re having dinner with?”
“These people have been nothing but a nuisance to me.”
Her mind flashed back to the night of the gala. Diego had been there with Five. They were there for Reginald, to find out his intentions with the president. To find out what he was doing in Dallas in the first place. Reginald was a secretive man, he didn’t even let Grace or (Y/N) into his office unless he was present as well. Her stomach twisted in knots of anxiety the closer they approached the door to the tiki lounge. When Reginald stopped just before the doors, he turned to his daughter and lowered his voice. “When we enter, you are to sit and remain silent. Do not speak to them, do not interact with them. Sit and shut your mouth unless I tell you otherwise. And your pet remains on the floor or in your lap. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes, sir.” She whispered and held Mr Pennycrumb close to her chest, the pup quietly panting and licking her cheek. That seemed to be enough for Reginald, for he nodded and turned forward, slamming the door open and marching into the lounge.
The Hargreeves stood dumbfounded at their father as he headed straight to the table they surrounded, not a word leaving his mouth. None of them had expected to see him ever again, especially not after the funeral they had attended back in 2019. But what they really didn’t expect to see was (Y/N) right behind him, her eyes avoiding them as she absentmindedly pat Mr Pennycrumb under his chin. She especially avoided looking at Five, whose jaw was dropped upon her appearance. The real kick was when Reginald pulled out a chair and motioned for her to sit. Without even a peep, she sat down and allowed him to scoot her closer to the table before taking his own seat. The five blinked once before taking their own seats at the table.
“Not only have you burglarized my lab, set my chimp loose, conned your way into the Mexican consulate, repeatedly stalked and attacked not only me, but my daughter as well, but you have, on numerous occasions, called me-”
Klaus joined the table with a grunt, a martini in his hand. “Hey, Pop. How’s it hangin’?”
“-‘Dad’,” Reginald gave everyone a once over as (Y/N) shifted uncomfortably under the stares of her family. “My reconnaissance tells me you’re not CIA, not KGB, certainly not MI5, so… who are you?”
(Y/N) watched as they all glanced at each other, opening their mouths to answer, but quickly closing them instead. This went on for a few seconds before Five decided to do it, “We’re your children. We’re from the future. In 1989, you adopted us all and trained us to fight against the end of the world. Called us the Umbrella Academy.”
Reginald turned his head from left to right, frowning at each individual. “Why on earth would I adopt six-”
“Eight. One of us isn’t here.” Allison clasped her hands together on the table.
“Dead,” Diego muttered, his head bowed down. “One of us is dead.”
“And the eighth?” Reginald questioned. (Y/N) cleared her throat and began to speak, but stopped when he sent a cold glare her way. “What did we talk about?”
She quickly shook her head. “No, I… I’m the eighth. I’m also your child from the future. You just… got me very early this time-”
“(Y/N), it is not the time for your games-”
“It’s not a game! W-Why do you think I’ve been leaving my dates with Preston to be with them?” At the words ‘dates’ and ‘Preston’, Five leaned forward, eyes narrowed at his love. She glanced at him apologetically and shook her head. Reginald was just about to scold her yet again, but she rolled the sleeve of her shirt up to reveal the umbrella tattoo on her left arm. “Did you forget about this?”
“Yeah, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba. Enough of that now.” Klaus hissed and turned behind him. Everyone froze and stared at him in confusion. Turning forward again, he simply motioned for Reginald to continue. Uneasy, he did just that.
“Regardless,” His gaze turned back to Five. “What would possess me to adopt… seven ill-mannered malcontents?”
“We all have special abilities.” The boy answered.
“Special? In what sense?”
(Y/N) set her pet on the ground and sat up in her seat. “In the superpowered sense.” She raised her brows. Reginald sighed and clenched his jaw.
“My child, if you do not stay out of this as we agreed, I am going to have to send you to the car with your mother-”
“Dad! I am being so serious when I tell you I am one of them!”
“Well, call me old-fashioned, but I’m a stickler for a pesky little thing called evidence,” He turned back to the table. “Show me. All of you.”
Allison scoffed and adjusted the straw in her drink. “Everybody wants to see powers all of a sudden…”
“We’re not circus animals, okay?” Luther spoke. “We’re not gonna bounce balls on our noses and clap our hands like seals for your amusement-”
As if on cue, Diego launched a knife across the table, zipping around Reginald’s head and pinning itself into the pillar behind him. The seven leaned in and watched as the man clicked his pen and began writing in his journal. “What are you writing?” Diego asked. Reginald glanced up at him.
“You are zero for two, young man.” He quipped, Allison sputtering her drink before Diego jumped up from his seat in anger. To prevent anything disastrous from occurring, Five stood and blinked in front of his brother, halting his movement and whispering a ‘stop!’ to him. “Now, that is interesting.” Reginald muttered.
Five sighed and headed back towards his seat. “Alright, uh, quick rundown. Luther: super strength. Klaus can commune with the dead. Allison can rumor anyone to do anything.”
“Except she never uses it.” Diego muttered. Allison removed her lips from her straw and sent a tight-lipped smile towards her brother.
“I heard a rumor… you punched yourself in the face.”
Against his will, Diego rammed his fist into his face, crying out and groaning in pain immediately after. Klaus reached over and tried to comfort him as (Y/N) and Vanya ducked their heads down to hide their smiles. Reginald glanced over at the latter. “And you?”
Luther placed a hand on his sister’s arm with a smile. “Uh, maybe we don’t take Vanya for a test run.”
“Oh, yeah, that’s probably not a good idea.” Klaus sat back in his chair.
“It’s fine,” Vanya shrugged, reaching for a fork. “I can handle it.” And despite her siblings’ protests, she tapped the fork against her glass. A high-pitched tone rang and shook the table. (Y/N) held her breath as she waited for the worst. A beat later, the bowl of fruit in the center of the table exploded, chunks of fruit splattering against everyone’s clothes and faces. (Y/N) tried to dodge as Mr Pennycrumb jumped into her lap, happily licking the food from her scarred cheeks and chin.
Reginald sighed along with his future children as he handed his only actual daughter a napkin to clean herself. Adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves, he side-eyed her. “Alright, my child, show me.”
Not even hesitating, (Y/N) stood and placed her pup in her father’s lap, despite his clear distaste, and straightened her clothes. “Alright. So, I can clone myself. To both summon and dismiss these clones, I have to sing two distinct three-note tunes.” To prove her point, she ‘ooh’ed her first tune, her clone appearing from her shadow, standing with a blank stare. Reginald raised his brows and began writing in his journal. “These clones not only share a conscience with me, but function as muscle and spies.”
“Spies?” Reginald frowned.
“They’re able to record their memories for me to look over in my own mind. Over the past year, I’ve come to learn that I can view these memories in real time. They also function to fulfill any task I command them.” Turning to her clone, she placed her hands on her hips. “Pick up Pennycrumb’s leash,” She commanded, the clone immediately doing as it was told. “I’ve also recently learned that I can give them the ability to talk. But if I wanted to… oh, I don’t know… attend a date with a certain boy without actually being there, I can project my consciousness into its body.”
After taking a seat, (Y/N) immediately slumped in her chair, unconscious. The clone beside her perked up and blinked twice before turning to Reginald. The man leaned forward to inspect it, but jumped back when it spoke. “But if something prevents my clones from fulfilling their task, they will start to self-destruct after twelve hours if said task isn’t completed. This is done by tearing into its own flesh and ripping itself apart.”
At this, everyone shivered.
“Right. It’s terrifying,” The clone returned to its blank and empty shell before (Y/N) raised her head. “And to dismiss, I hum the tune from earlier in its descending order.” She demonstrated said tune, the clone disappearing into her shadow. Mr Pennycrumb excitedly jumped from Reginald to her lap, nuzzling into her arm. “Any questions, Dad?”
Reginald was hastily scribbling into his journal. “Extraordinary. Absolutely extraordinary… And even more so that you’ve managed to keep this power from me for over a year.” He whispered. Turning her head, she caught Five’s proud smile. She winked at him as Diego stood from his seat.
“Look, we know that you’re involved in a plot to assassinate the president.”
“You were recently hospitalized, isn’t that correct? You still appear to be suffering from delusions of grandeur and acute paranoia.”
“Am I?” Diego reached into his back pocket and slid a picture over to his father. “Explain this. That’s you. That’s two days from now on the grassy knoll at the exact spot the president’s gonna get shot.”
Reginald picked up the photo and scanned it before his eyes moved to his daughter, the girl slightly shrinking under his gaze. Receiving his answer to the question he was to ask her, he turned back to Diego and set the photo down. “Well… I suppose you’ve solved it. You’ve single-handedly unearth my nefarious plot,” The smile Diego wore slowly faded. “Is that what you want to hear? You fancy yourself a do-gooder? The last good man who will save us from our descent into corruption and conspiracy? This is a fantastic delusion.” The more Reginald tore into him, the lower Diego sat himself into his chair until his lips were quivering and a tear slid down his cheek. “The sad reality is that you’re a desperate man, tragically unaware of his own insignificance, desperately clinging to his own ineffectual reasoning. More succinctly, a man in over his head.”
“Y-Y-You’re wr… wrong.” Diego stuttered. (Y/N) shakily inhaled and slammed her hand onto the table, alerting the rest of her siblings.
“Don’t you ever talk to him like that!”
“And you!” Reginald whirled to his daughter, the girl flinching a bit. “You have done nothing but deceive me! I half expect you to tell me that the man you chose over Preston sits among us!”
(Y/N)’s gaze instantly found Five’s. His green orbs were pleading, begging her to say it.
Tell him. Tell him you love me. Shout it from the rooftops, promise that you’ll always believe in us. Tell him.
But she couldn’t. Not when her doubts sealed her lips shut and casted her eyes away from him. The siblings stared between the two, heartbroken for their situation. Seeing that she chose to be ashamed, Five nodded and cleared his throat to speak. “Look, forget about the president. We have a catastrophic war coming in five days. We need to figure out how to stop it.”
“War?” Reginald looked away from his daughter and to the boy across from him. “Men will always be at war with each other.”
“No, this isn’t just some war. I’m talking about a doomsday. The end of the world.”
“Well,” Reginald muttered after a beat of silence. “You’re the special ones, aren’t you? Why don’t you band together and do something about it?”
Expecting much, much more than that, all seven of them frowned. This was what Reginald wanted from the start, for them to come together as the Umbrella Academy and prevent the end of the world. But it had been almost two weeks and two apocalypses managed to form due to their actions. That was why they couldn’t.
Grunting, Klaus suddenly raised both his arms in the air and shook uncontrollably, choking out gasps and jerking his body. (Y/N) gasped and slowly reached out to him.
“Is he having a seizure?”
“Overdosing, probably…”
“Should we do something?”
Whipping her head to Luther, (Y/N) widened her eyes. “Yes!” She shouted before turning back to Klaus as he shuddered. “Shit, what if he is overdosing?!”
“Klaus,” Five leaned over and whispered. “Now is not the time. What are you doing?”
Gurgling, Klaus turned his body to Reginald, face contorted in discomfort. “I’m… Ben!” He gasped out before falling to the ground, panting and groaning. (Y/N) rushed to his side and placed a hand on his forehead.
“Klaus? Are you okay? Can you hear me?” She whispered as he reached up and weakly wrapped a hand around her wrist. Reginald looked from Klaus, to (Y/N), then to his journal before he gathered his things.
“Well… thank you for coming,” He stood from his chair and began to walk away, stepping over Klaus’s body. “I’ve seen about enough. Come along, (Y/N), your mother is waiting for us.”
A loud slam sounded, causing everyone in the room to turn to Luther, who stood and ripped his buttoned shirt open. (Y/N) covered her mouth when he revealed his discolored bare chest and abdomen. “Look at what you did to me! Look at it!”
As the siblings groaned and gawked, Reginald simply turned his attention to Five. “You in the culottes. A word, in private? (Y/N), to the car. This instant.”
“Yes, sir.” She whispered before giving Klaus a kiss on the forehead and standing to her feet. Five walked by her side in silence until they had to split ways. Reginald turned to the both of them, and just when (Y/N) was going to turn out of the lounge, Five grabbed her by the shoulders and pressed a kiss to her lips. Gasping, the girl brushed her fingertips over her lips as her face burned. She watched Reginald for a reaction, but he only motioned for her to leave. “Bye, Five.” She grinned behind her hand and hurried away.
“This way, boy.” Reginald brought Five’s attention back to him, leading the two of them to the bar. After they took their seats and he ordered their drinks, Reginald turned to his future son. “You seem to be the sensible one of the bunch.”
“That’s because I’m the oldest,” Five nodded, Reginald tilting his head. “You know, technically, I’m older than you right now.”
Reginald turned forward when the bartender set down a bottle in front of him. “Cognac?”
“Just a smidge.” Five slightly smiled. As he poured their drinks, Reginald started their subject of conversation.
“The other night, you quoted Homer at me. Why?”
Five shifted in his seat and straightened his blaser. “You forced us all to learn it as kids. In the original Greek, no less.” He raised his brows before a glass was passed to him. He and his father did a silent cheer before he took a gulp of it. The entire situation was so jarring to the boy, but as he said before, he didn’t choose this life. He’s just living it. For the next few days, anyway. “This world ends in five days if we don’t get out of the timeline.”
“Worlds end. Paleozoic, Jurassic, and so on.”
“We can do something about this one.”
“Man’s greatest flaw: the illusion of control.”
The boy frowned. “I need your help. Alright? You’re my last sane option. Otherwise, I gotta make a deal that I really don’t wanna make. What do you know about time travel?”
“In theory?”
“In practice.”
Reginald hummed. “I know it’s akin to descending blindly into the depths of freezing waters and reappearing-”
“-as an acorn. Yeah.” Five finished with a sigh.
“What transpired when you tried traveling before?”
The boy blinked and shook his head as he looked away. “I botched it…”
“How?”
“I jumped too far forward, got stuck in the future for forty-five years in an apocalypse. Then I jumped too far backwards… except this time, I brought my entire family with me.”
Reginald tapped his fingers against the bar as he clicked his tongue. “Including (Y/N)?” He questioned, receiving a nod in answer. “Well, maybe your appetite is disproportionate to the size of your abilities. Start small. Seconds, not decades.”
“Seconds?” Five widened his eyes. “Look, no offense, but I need a bit more time for what I’m trying to accomplish here.”
“So much can change in a matter of seconds. One can overthrow an empire,” His eyes moved from Five to the doorway (Y/N) had been standing in seconds ago unbeknownst to Five. “One could fall in love. An acorn doesn’t become an oak overnight.”
Five swallowed, his expression that of defeat. “I was really hoping you had more than that.”
“I’m sorry I can’t be of more help…”
Five shook his head slightly. “I’m sorry, too. I gave you such a hard time as a kid… I didn’t know any better.”
Humming, Reginald glanced down before raising his glass. “No skin off my teeth, old man.” He smiled before drinking. Five sighed and downed the rest of his drink before standing from his seat. “One more thing.”
“What is it?” Five turned back to his father, freezing at the cold look he had been giving him.
“It would be best… if you refrained from courting (Y/N).”
A pang going through his chest, Five rapidly blinked and stepped back. “W-What…?”
“Your relationship is not healthy,” Reginald stood from his stool and began walking past the boy. “And besides…”
Five clenched his fists as his father walked towards the exit of the tiki lounge.
“I have plans for her.”

The Umbrella Academy Watches Yours and Five’s Kid (Headcannon)
Tumblr media
A/N: thought I’d return to this series! This is the second to last one; the next one will be Ben!
Warnings: none
The Umbrella Academy watches yours and ____ kid series can be found here. (Includes Diego, Klaus, Ben, and Luther).
-
You and five started dating when you were both 18
It was puppy love at first but developed into a beautiful relationship
Dated for five blissful years
Constantly had the rest of the umbrella academy wondering how five landed a wonderful gal like you
On your fifth anniversary he proposed to you because of how much the two of you loved each other
Right before the wedding you found out that you were pregnant
Five almost passed out but luckily Luther was there to pick him up
You guys weren’t married yet and only 23 with a baby on the way
It was stressful to say the least
But the wonderful wedding for you and five came to pass and then it was hyperfocus on the baby
Soon a healthy little girl came into the world
Your baby girl was named Rose after the flowers Five always got you on date nights or just to show he loved you
Now, as Rose got older, she turned out to be very respectful and very adorable
She always showed her love and appreciation
Rose made sure to say little “dank” you’s and please and melted the hearts of many
She did not possess any abilities which made you and five upset at first but then he remembered all the fights him and his siblings got into with their powers as youngsters
Then he felt grateful his little girl would grow up normal
Well
That was until she was babysat by her aunts and uncles
Who
Did not in the slightest know how to take care of a child besides Allison
She was five years old and a very well behaved child so you and five asked if they could babysit while you had a date night
They agreed because that meant more time with their niece!
She was so happy to be with them
Until she realized her parents would be leaving
She cried her little heart out
The umbrella academy freaked out
Klaus was trying to dance around with her in his arms, making funny faces and doing little dances
She stopped crying until he stopped
So he continued
Luther was saying Klaus was going to give her brain damage by bouncing her around so much so he took his little niece to the living room
He pulled out a book and began to read to her
Rose was not interested to say the least
She said simply “stop, Uncle Luthy”
She got up and walked around the area, but Luther made sure to keep an eye on her
She eventually made her way to Diego who was sharpening his knives
“Oooo” her eyes sparkled “I want one”
Diego panicked and quickly threw them out the window, “they’re bad”
Rose stared at her uncle and began crying again
Allison rushed in “you guys are awful at this. It’s sad to say that Klaus is better than you and Luther combined.”
Allison picked little Rose up and brought her to the kitchen, “your uncles are odd.”
“Odd” Rose repeated and pointed to the food on the counter, “Marshmellow and peanut butter?”
Allison knee what she meant and made the sandwich that Five also loved
Rose gobbled up her sandwich quickly
“Dank you!”
Allison giggled at her niece’s speech, “You’re welcome sweetie.”
Klaus walked in again to show his niece something
“Hey, want to meet uncle Ben?”
Allison was confused then realized what shenanigans he was going to pull
She tried to speak against him doing it because it was going to make Rose scared
But
Once again Klaus became the “better” uncle out of the batch
He used his powers to make Ben appear who was happy to finally meet his niece.
“GHOST!!!!” Rose screamed, nearly fell off her chair, and barried her head into Allison’s stomach to hide.
“I told you she would react this way Klaus” Ben glared at him
“Sorry little Rose, maybe we can chat when you’re older”
Then Ben was gone
Allison was giving the biggest death glare to Klaus as she walked away with Rose in her arms
Soon enough you and five showed up earlier than expected
Five missed Rose, you did too but Five definitely loved his little girl a lot and wanted to be able to tuck her into bed
Rose was so happy to see you two and fell asleep quickly into her father’s arms
Then Allison dropped the news about Klaus and Ben
You smacked Klaus and whisper yelled as to not wake Rose
“You traumatized my daughter!”
“She’s okay!”
Klaus was terrified of your glare and Five who seemed ready to smack him too if he wasn’t holding Rose
He wasn’t allowed to make Ben appear until Rose was a teenager
Ben pouted but agreed
Rose still had an enjoyable time with her aunts and uncles
And Five got his revenge on Klaus by appearing in his room late at night and tackling him to the ground
And well
Klaus ended up with a busted lip
Five ended up with a massive headache from the head butt from Klaus
Ben just sighed as he watched it happen
You slapped the backside of Five and Klaus’ head
“Children! You’re still literal children!”
Five smiled loving at you, “But I love you”
“Yeah, yeah, I know”
Klaus yelled as you left “and I love you, my favorite sister in law!”
“Yes and if you did then you wouldn’t traumatize my baby!”
“Ben wanted to meet her!”
Ben tried to defend himself “hey, don’t bring me into this! You wanted to be the cool uncle!”
“Oh shush and I am!”
Five looked at him to roll his eyes and he left to go chase after his wife

The Rewatch Academy: Episode 2 of Season 1
Tumblr media
“Run Boy Run”
I am in no way a good analyst so my little analysis and speculations probably sound a bit goofy or pretty wild and probably mean nothing at all. Everything I put into this post about each episode is purely what I noticed or thought, whether it's funny or serious. I will be making jokes, so please just leave it at that (in no way am I trying to make fun of an actor and or character!) I am also in no way saying I noticed this stuff first. This is just what I noticed while rewatching these episodes
☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂
1x01 | 1x02 | 1x03 | 1x04
☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂
Tumblr media
☂ Ben is a tired boy leaning on his chair
☂ Luther and Allison please stop making googly eyes at each other
☂ Five really woke up and chose violence that day huh
☂ Diego already knows shit is about to go down and it’s so funny
☂ I love that Reginald doesn’t even scold Five for stabbing the table
☂ Five: “I have a question.” blah blah blah Veggie is talking Five: “I want to time travel.” That’s not a question, Five
☂ It’s interesting to see young Five blinking/jumping compared to older Five. Even at this age, 13, he says that he’s still practicing his spatial jumps. Young Five needs to clench his fists and almost squeeze his eyes shut just to concentrate. Older Five simply just teleports without effort and is able to casually blink even as he’s just walking. Five probably practiced teleporting a lot in the apocalypse
☂ Someone else pointed this out, but all of the other Umbrellas are frozen for a for a second as Five teleports next to Reginald. While that freeze is just editing, and possibly a small error, this is another example of how Five’s spatial teleporting doesn’t make a noise. Luther, Diego, and Allison only look at Five when he begins talking to Reginald. Grace notices Five right away because he is in her line of sight while Luther and Diego were looking at where Five was sitting and Allison had her head down eating
☂ “The effects it might have on your body, even your mind, are far too unpredictable.” Harsh foreshadowing
☂ The “Run Boy Run” scene is one of the best musical moments in all of the show. It gave me chills when I first heard it, and the fact that all of the lyrics that play during that part match so perfectly with it make it even better. Tomorrow is another day being sung as Five travels into 2019 is just too good
☂ Imagine how scared you have to be to call out to your p.o.s father
☂ The instant regret immediately falls onto his face and he kneels in front of the Academy
☂ I love how in the first few episodes Five’s hair is styled exactly as it was when he was an old man and when he was actually 13. Over the rest of the season and the second season it just gets more disheveled and floppier
☂ “You think I didn’t try everything to get back to my family?” Ahhhh there we go, one of my favorite Five lines. This here is probably when I truly fell in love with his character. He spent 45 years just trying to survive and attempting to get back to his family. He would have spent more too if the Handler hadn’t taken him in
☂ Vanya is genuinely trying to understand what happened and Five was being a little asshole. C’mon, bud, she’s just confused and hasn’t seen you in forever
☂ This Five and Vanya scene melts my heart (simply as a sibling relationship!!) She doesn’t care anymore if she understands, she just wants him to stay because she hasn’t seen him in a while. Even Five understands that as his demeanor quickly changes from being frustrated to gently telling her “Night.” He watches her as she leaves, also partially realizing that he hasn’t seen her in a while too
☂ Why didn’t Five just teleport outside of Vanya’s apartment?? That would have been the stealthiest thing
☂ “All quick and efficient skills.” A little note on Five’s level of skill of slaughtering the Commission agents in Griddy’s
☂ Diego said he bought his police badge on Ebay, so computers do exist in the UA universe
☂ “By the way, this thing might look like a botched robbery, but my gut’s telling me something else is going on here.”  Yeah, and that something else is your brother
☂ I want Claire to meet her uncles and aunt so bad
☂ So Ben has a ghostly puzzle book and pen he can use? Because if they were real Pogo would have been able to see them just floating in the air. What other ghostly items can Ben summon? (I believe this is more so just an error but it’s fun to think about)
☂  “I-I found it at a playground, actually. Must have just *click* popped out.” An underrated Five line
☂ Five immediately becomes aggressive at the thought of losing the eye, something he found clutched in the hand of his dead brother and was a clue to what caused the death of his siblings and the end of the world
☂ Just now noticed that you can see Diego up on the second floor being led down to where Patch is in the police station
☂ I really like that they added in the little tidbit about a cold case Five created 81 years ago
☂ I miss Patch. She deserved better and more screen time
☂ Hey, Diego might have been thrown out of the Police Academy but at least he’s still in The Umbrella Academy!
☂ Hearing Patch talk to Diego really made me realize that the Umbrellas weren’t even necessary for helping with crime. It was just Reginald’s way of training them
☂ Love the shot of Luther looking at Diego’s cross-stitch and the camera lining it up so it’s like he’s wearing the mask
☂ Five lying just to keep Vanya away and to continue on with his goal hurts. His goal is saving the world and his family, but I don’t think he actually took in what Vanya was saying to him or maybe he recognized the offer but shoved all of his feelings down. She was reaching out to actually get him some help and he lied to her to avoid that. Maybe he doesn’t care and is just blinded by his ultimate goal. Save the world and family first, then process your feelings and genuinely communicate with your siblings
☂ Don’t worry Klaus, I would have let you wear that outfit
☂ When Cha-Cha questions “Five” aka the poor tow truck guy, she asks him about “The London job in ‘66.” I believe she is referring to the Shepherd’s Bush murders where three policemen were murdered
☂ Hazel replying “Not from what I’ve heard.” when Cha-Cha asks if he thinks Five is a whimperer shows that Five definitely had a reputation in the Commission for probably being a cold and stoic guy
☂ Vanya is just trying to help, chill Allison 😭. You haven’t seen her in years, what do you know about her?
☂ Klaus would really slap his brother in the face to get drug money
☂ Another example of Five not making noise when he teleports is when he blinks into the taxi and Klaus didn’t notice that he had left until he turned to look where Five was. On the other hand though the taxi driver does jump as Five suddenly appears in the car. However, I believe that might be from the driver noticing Five in a mirror in the car
☂ I wonder what languages the Hargreeves siblings know. Vanya didn’t understand Leonard’s German. You think Reginald would have taught them multiple languages or maybe she forgot it if she was taught it
☂ I don’t know why but Luther just siting there and reading a book and almost getting hit by the knife is really funny to me
☂ Yeah Diego doesn’t have to prove his innocence, but it would have saved a lot of trouble
☂ Rewatching the scene with Leonard talking to Vanya about his father is just disturbing when you already know what happened to him and how he’s lying just to try to be more relatable
☂ I heard a rumor that smoking is bad for you
☂ Vanya calling to make sure Allison is okay even though she hurt her makes me sad. She’s so nice and thoughtful
☂ The old man can’t even reunite with his wife before he gets hunted down
☂ The shot of Hazel and Cha-Cha putting on their masks in the dark with the music is 👌👌
☂ Again, Cha-Cha isn’t able to hear Five as he teleports next to her and slices her arm. She might not have noticed him though because he was very quick to attack her
☂ Five really went through all of that just to bring his wife home
☂ I think it’s an easily blocked out part because we already know what Allison has to say and it’s exciting, but Luther is apologizing about accusing Diego and causing issues amongst his siblings
☂ Five is just so defeated and emotionally tired that he doesn’t allow Luther to touch him. In fact, he very quickly and aggressively grabs Luther’s wrist. You can tell Five is a little out of it and I believe it was more so his subconscious stopping Luther. Five doesn’t want help, he’s going to carry the burden of figuring out who ended the world and killed his family as far as he can by himself
☂ “There’s nothing you can do. There’s nothing any of you can do.” Are such heavy lines. Five is so emotionally and mentally tired at the end of the day and he sounds like he’s about to breakdown. He’s replaying the moment he found his siblings’ corpses. They weren’t able to stop the person who ended the world. Luther is offering his help, but Five is denying it. Luther couldn’t stop the person who ended the world. None of his siblings were able to stop that person. He’s telling himself that they can’t help and he’s telling Luther and Allison that too. Five wants to be alone to figure out who this person is. His siblings can’t help him
☂ Five coming across the corpses of his siblings is just heartbreaking. He first stumbles across three adults lying in the rubble. One of them is holding an eye. He goes to shake the man in all black, having a tiny bit hope that miraculously he is still alive. He stumbles across another body only to back away with tears in his eyes as he spots the tattoo on the man’s arm and realizes who these people are

Umbrella Academy Season 3 Wish list
This is a long one so buckle up:
Let Klaus and Allison take centre-stage this season in leading the plot. Both are incredible characters and deserve the chance to shine. And I can think of several reasons why they deserve the chance to take centre-stage: out of the whole Academy their powers are some of the most fascinating and in Klaus’ case he has so many that haven’t been revealed yet. They’ve both suffered and lost a lot as well, particularly in season 2 and their hardships tend to get ignored by others. Their relationship together is already really interesting and supportive and they would be an awesome team up. There’s more but I’ll be here forever if I tried to list them.
No Apocalypse. The world ending in eight days was a great plot driver in season 1 and again in season 2 with the reveal that the end of the world actually followed the Umbrella’s back in time. But if the same thing gets repeated over and over then I’m worried that the show will lose it’s edge as a result. In order for the characters to develop new crisis's need to take its place.
Tumblr media
Let Five have a rest. Even if it’s just for an episode or two so he can get a solid eight hours sleep if nothing else. For the last two seasons Five has been running around non-stop trying to stop the end of the world and save his family. Without that Five can grow as a person and get a literal break that he really hasn’t gotten in 45 years.
Oh course that doesn’t mean I want Five out of the drama entirely and I do expect to see Reginald and Five scenes in season 3. Five is the only one of his original children that the bastard seemed to tolerate and he did seem to have some form of twisted respect for Five as well. And I wouldn’t put it past the monocle monster to have some twisted plans in store for the eldest member of the Umbrella Academy. He’s had fifty years to plan for the Umbrella’s return after all.
The Sparrows. I just saw the line up of the Sparrows for season three and I am honestly so interested. I can’t wait to see what their powers are like and I already have some ideas. They have so much potential and hopefully they’ll be done well. And so far they seem to be written as the Umbrella’s foils. Marcus is a natural leader who loves his family, while Luther forces himself into the role and alienated his family as a result. Both Ben and Diego long to be the leader but while Diego is more emotional, Ben’s more strategic. Five is driven by his love and desire to protect his family, while Sloane feels held back by hers. Vanya was treated as an outcast and betrayed her siblings trust while Christopher, a literal Cube, is said to be loyal and is treated as a loved family member
That being said though, I don’t want the Sparrows to be the main focus this season or have the attention split between them and the Umbrella’s. Because while I do want to see the Sparrows and their family dynamic and how they interact with the Umbrella’s, I would prefer to see how the Umbrella Hargreeves’ cope with their existent and how this impacts them and how they move forward with this. Or a team up between Sparrows and Umbrella’s would be fine. Or multiple team ups, I’m not picky.
Tumblr media
There is a really good fan theory out there about Klaus and Five being twins and while I know that in the comics it’s Luther and Five, the fan theory in season 3 would be so much better in my opinion. And in all honesty it makes so much more sense. Physically they are strikingly similar, especially as children. Their powers both concentrate in their hands and emit a blue glow when they use them. Their powers themselves are literally time and death, which are linked and they have additive personalities, which can be inherited between family members. And I can’t help but feel that this moment:
Tumblr media
lends a new level to their relationship then what we see with them as adults. Look at how alike they are! And that fond smile that Five is giving Klaus? Making them twins opens up a wide range of possibilities for Klaus and Five both character and plot wise.
Give Luther a proper love interest. And I can’t believe that this even has to be said but his sister does not count! Literally all of siblings have have romantic interests, all of them so important in the Umbrella’s life in some way or another. It would be nice too to see Luther form a healthy romantic connection for the first time in his life.
While I’m on the subject of Luther and healthy relationships, it also brings me back to the Sparrows and how their number one Marcus seems to be Luther’s foil. And it would be interesting for the show to explore just how seeing the Sparrows and someone so similar to Luther might just affect him. He did spend thirty years of his life after all being Reginald’s little solider and believing that his position as Number One made him the family leader only to find out it was all for nothing. Only Marcus seems to be respected in his position as leader and loves his family dearly, while Luther was mocked and seems to have driven all of his siblings bar Allison away from him because of it. This has incredible potential for Luther’s character arc this season especially if it makes him acknowledge his behaviour to his siblings as they were growing up; particularly to Klaus and Vanya who probably got the worst of it. Allison after all was his closest companion, Diego was his rival (more or less), Ben seemingly got on with everyone and Five would have bitten Luther’s head off if he tried anything. But Reginald’s disappointments Klaus and Vanya? Luther, wanting to impress their dad and follow his orders probably didn’t treat them the best. And I want Luther to admit that and apologise and make the next step in becoming a better person and brother. He’s made incredible progress in season 2, but I don’t want his past treatment of his siblings to be swept under the rug. It needs to be acknowledged and Luther needs to admit it was wrong so he can grow.
Tumblr media
Can we get Diego’s season one hair back too? I wondered just how it got that long considering that he was only in the sixties for around three months. Klaus makes sense as he was in the sixties for years. Plenty of time for him to grow it out, not really for Diego. But I really prefer his season one hair so can it make a comeback please?
What I want to see for Vanya this season is for her to realize that she doesn’t need powers to be special. I kinda noticed that she seems to have defined her worth on her powers and that’s not healthy. So a potential scenario: Reginald seems to have made the power-suppressing drug himself, so he may still have it in season 3. Imagine Vanya getting a dose of it that knocks her powers out for a good chunk of time and in the meantime some of her siblings are in danger (I’m picturing Luther and Diego here the himbos) and she ends up saving them. Not with her powers but because of her intelligence and other skills that she has and she realizes that she doesn’t need her powers to be special or to save the day. A logical step in character growth.
Getting some closure on season 2 character like Sissy, Ray, Grace, the Cult (which I really didn’t like) and the Swede and what happened to them once the Umbrella’s left the sixties. And maybe finding out what happened to season one’s characters since the Umbrella’s didn’t exist in this timeline: Agnes, Patch, Leonard, Pogo, Claire.
For Klaus and Umbrella Ben to talk about their issues and make up. I know that our Ben is now up there with the little girl in the sky but that has not stopped Klaus from visiting heaven before. And I think that if Klaus and Ben do not get at least one final conversation to talk through their issues next season then I will sue. They both did crappy things to each other in season two but they both love each other dearly and they deserve the chance to get the closure they both need. I think that Klaus will definitely need it in order to move on completely.
Tumblr media
I know I said no Apocalypse but I’m still going to be expecting some major crisis to happen during the last few episodes. An alien invasion or Sparrows trying to kill the Umbrella's maybe? But no matter what the problem is, I really want Klaus to get his moment to shine by being the one to save the day. Reginald said himself that Klaus has untapped potential and we know thanks to the comics what other powers he has. And thanks to Ben’s antics at the family dinner the old bastard has probably written him off as useless and not a threat when making plans to deal with the Umbrella’s. Which means nobody is going to be looking at Klaus or considering him a potential threat to their plans, leaving Klaus relatively safe to start exploring and enhancing his powers. He was supposed to be the one to have done it in season one with the moon and his abilities were brushed to the side completely in season two or used for Ben’s benefit so I think he’s long overdue his moment to shine. And maybe then will the rest of his siblings stop seeing Klaus as a joke.
Lila. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of her, her story felt unfinished and she does have a briefcase. She could pop at any moment in the story. She has so much potential and I did love her actress. Imagine her and Five forcing to team up or something? Or maybe her and Allison?
Another character I’d like to see return is Hazel. He’s someone who really grew on me. And there is a chance that he could return and maybe team up with the Umbrella’s this season. Potential scenarios: Five on the hunt for allies to help him restore the timeline hunts down Hazel who in this timeline is working with the Commission and because the Umbrellas don’t exist hasn’t met Agnes yet. Maybe something happened to her because of the Sparrows?
Finally Dave. I’m a huge Dave fan but I really don’t want him to show up in season three. Or if he does then for the smallest amount of time possible just to give Klaus some ‘closure’. Time travel is in the Umbrella Academy universe after all and it’s possible that by Klaus warning Dave about his faith and causing him to enlist earlier and in a different branch as a result he’s saved Dave and opened up the possibility of seeing Commission!Dave later. Which is the perfect storyline for season 4. Season three is only 10 episodes long and there’ll be a lot going on already so shoving Dave into what will already be a pretty packed season won’t give Dave the attention he deserves and will take away from the other focus. Not only that but Klaus’ motivation for the last two seasons is doing something for either Dave or Ben. I want to see Klaus train his powers either for himself or to help someone else. Also, Dave deserves the chance to grow as a character as well and making him a part of season 3 would take away from the main focus of the Umbrella’s and Sparrows. Making him a main focus in season four instead if we get one will give a great opportunity story-wise to develop both him and Klaus as individuals and as a couple.

word count: 1288
request?: yes!
“Hi I love your writing so much! I've had this idea in my mind for a request and its with Klaus from Umbrella academy. It's basically the reader gets a panic attack or anxiety attack and klaus is the only one that can calm her down. Idk maybe like ben or Diego try to help calm her down while waiting for klaus but it doesnt help. Klaus gets there and she starts calming down. Just something really cute and fluffy and cute kisses and that. You dont have to I just think it would be cute. Thank you 🖤”
description: the only person who can calm you down during panic attacks was always your boyfriend, so when he’s not around, things get hard

Everything was fine. I was spending the day at Klaus’ and I had left his room for the first time when he went out to grab us some fast food. I was grabbing a glass to get a drink when my heart suddenly began to race.
No. No, not now. Not here.
But it was too late. My breathing was starting to become more shallow and I could feel my body beginning to shake. The glass slipped from my hands and smashed on the floor. The sound caused me to cover my ears and exclaim in fear.
Diego ran into the kitchen first, knife raised and ready. He looked around before his eyes landed on me. “(Y/N), are you alright? What happened?”
I couldn’t respond. It felt like I had no control over my body. I was trapped in my own head, unable to do anything besides stand there.
Realizing what was going on, Diego shoved his knife into his belt and approached me slowly. “(Y/N), I’m going to touch you, but it’s just so I can sit you down at the table. Is that okay?”
I managed to nod. Diego gently took hold of my shoulders and sat me on a chair. As he did, Ben entered the kitchen next, the same alarmed look on his face. “What’s going on?”
“Can you clean that glass up?” Diego asked him.
Ben noticed the distant look on my face and also realized what was going on. As he began to clean my mess, Diego tried to talk me down from my anxiety attack, but it was no use. There was only one person who was ever able to talk me down in moments like this, and he was out.
As if on cue, the sound of their front door opening and closing alerted us that someone had arrived. A familiar voice calling out my name caused my body to slightly relaxed as I looked up in the direction where his voice was coming from. Noticing my less tense reaction, Diego called for Klaus to come to the kitchen right away.
He appeared in the doorway and his eyes immediately landed on me, looking at me with concern. “Baby, are you okay?”
“I’m not sure what happened,” Diego explained. “Ben and I have been trying to calm her down, but it’s no use.”
Klaus crossed the kitchen and knelt down so he was eye level with me. He took hold of my hand and I felt my entire body relax. It felt as though something had been lifted off of my chest and I could finally breathe again.
Klaus looked up at his brothers. “Would you guys mind just giving us a moment alone?”
Diego and Ben nodded and left the kitchen without another word. Klaus sat on a chair next to me and continued to rub soothing circles with his thumb on my hand. I slowly felt myself coming back to normal. I had stopped shaking and my heart was starting to slow to a normal speed.
It took a few minutes, but finally I felt as though I had control over my body again. I looked up at Klaus and knew he could see in my face that I was okay again.
“Let’s get you in bed for a while,” he said, his voice soft. “You can take a short nap. I’ll heat up your food when you’re awake and feeling better, we’ll eat then.”
I nodded and allowed Klaus to help me up and guide me to his room. He laid me down on his bed and covered me up. The moment my head touched the pillow, I was out like a light.
~~~~~~
I woke up about an hour later. I felt better than I had when I fell asleep. Any feelings I had after my anxiety attack felt like a distant memory.
I rubbed my eyes and sat up. My movements caught the attention of Klaus, who was sitting on the floor reading a comic book. He looked up at me and smiled. “Hey you. How are you feeling?”
“Better,” I responded as I stretched my arms out. “A little embarrassed.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow in confusion. “Why are you embarrassed?”
I sighed and rested my head in my hands. “I can’t believe that happened in front of Diego and Ben. God, they probably think I’m insane or something.”
Klaus stood and sat next to me. “No, baby. You don’t have to worry about that. There’s nothing wrong with what happened, they just didn’t know what to do to help you. They were just worried is all.”
I rested my head on Klaus’ shoulder. “I just...I know it’s not easy to deal with me when I’m like that. I’ve had...so many people come and go from my life because they weren’t sure how to deal with me when I had anxiety attacks. You make me feel so comfortable, just hearing you when you came home helped to calm me down, and I don’t want anyone in your family getting frustrated with me when they try to help because it looks so easy when it’s you, only for me not to come out of that state for a long time. Does that make sense?”
Klaus wrapped an arm around me and held me to him. “It makes sense, but it’s not a concern you need to have. Diego and Ben weren’t frustrated, they were just worried something bad had happened that caused you to have an anxiety attack. They’re just happy you’re okay, and so am I. I was worried when Diego called for me and I saw you sitting there looking dazed.”
I sighed. “I don’t know what happened. I was getting a drink and suddenly I just felt anxious for no reason.”
Klaus held me in silence for a while. He kissed the top of my head, also a very comforting gesture, as I thought over my earlier anxiety attack.
It was hard to maintain any sort of relationships when there was always a chance I could fall into another anxiety attack for no reason at all. I had boyfriend who broke up with me because they thought my anxiety attacks were for attention, friends who dropped me because I didn’t feel up for going out to parties or to super crowded places like they did, and even family that claimed my anxiety “didn’t exist” and that I was making it all up.
I was lucky to have Klaus. He understood what I went through, and he was really my rock when I had bad anxiety attacks. And with Klaus came his family, more specifically his six siblings, who quickly became like my own family. I didn’t feel as alone when I had them, but it also scared me to no end thinking I could lose that little family I had in seconds if they thought my anxiety was too much to deal with, like everyone else in my past had.
As if sensing my thoughts, Klaus gave me a squeeze. “My family love you. We’ve been through some shit together, they all know what it’s like to struggle. No one is going to judge you for what you go through. And if they do, I’ll beat them up.”
I giggled. “You’re no match against Luther.”
“You don’t think so? Look at these guns.”
I laughed as Klaus flexed his muscles, which were nothing compared to Luther’s body. I cuddled into him again as we both laid back on the bed.
“Thank you for always being there for me,” I told him.
He kissed my head again and held me tightly. “I’ll always be here for you, (Y/N). I promise.”
Diego Hargreeves imagine where his siblings discover that he has a girlfriend/wife and a kid(s)?
Hi! Thank you for the request! I think I got a bit carried away, but I hope you like it.
Warnings: Language, mentions of drugs, rehab, relapse (Klaus), mention of death (Reginald), I don’t know how rehab works
Tumblr media
You were sitting on the couch in your pajamas having just gotten your son to go to sleep while your husband was out being a vigilante. You were reading a book while the tv was on, showing the news. You weren’t really paying too much attention to it but the name of your father-in-law caught your attention. You had never really met him because your husband wasn’t close to his father, just like the rest of the Hargreeves-kids. Reginald Hargreeves was dead and you didn’t really know what to think. What would Diego think?
Just five minutes after the news had been on your screen the door to your apartment opened and Diego came in, going straight to the bathroom to clean himself up. You followed him.
„Did you hear it yet?“, you asked.
„That dad died? Yeah, it was on the news“, he replied, not seeming fazed at all.
„Do you wanna talk about it?“
„Not really. I don’t really care. It’s not like we were close.“
„You wouldn’t want someone talking shit about you after your death, babe. I know you didn’t like him much but shouldn’t you treat this with a little more respect?“
He leaned against the shower wall, where he was about to get in and glanced at you.
„You think someone hates me like we hated dad?“, his voice was small, like he was genuinely scared about your answer.
„No, Diego, it’s just- he’s your dad. You probably wouldn’t be the man you are today if he wasn’t. Who knows where you would be. We may have never met.“
„Don’t say that. Don’t try to protect him. He was a bitch but I guess I’ll go back to the Academy. There will be some funeral. We’ll pretend he was a good man and then we’ll go our separate ways again.“
„Maybe Vanya’s book wasn’t so wrong after all.“
„Shut up, that book was shit. Now get in here with me“, he held his hand out to you.
„No, you’re dirty and I already showered. Finish up and then come to bed with me“, you smiled and took off to your bedroom.
„Now that sounds like a deal to me“, he smirked.
A couple days later he was tying up his shoes to leave for the funeral of his father. You walked past him in the hallway, going to wake up your son before you had to head to work. He wore his typical black outfit, including all of his knives.
„Are you sure that’s an appropriate outfit for a funeral?“
„Not for any funeral but for the old man’s it should be good enough. He’s lucky I’m even coming.“
You sighed but didn’t say anything else. When he was stepping out you called after him again.
„Diego, if Klaus needs it, offer him the couch and some dinner, okay? He just got out again, but don’t make it a big deal.“
You had met Diego when he had dragged Klaus into rehab about six years ago. You had just started working there after having gotten your psychology degree and were the first person they encountered there.
„This crackhead needs some fucking help“, the man dressed in all black said, dragging another man with him who was wearing a fur coat and a long skirt.
„Okay, well, first off, it rarely helps the patients when we call them crackheads“, you started.
„You see, Diego, you need to stop insulting me, she said it, it’s your fault I’m always high.“
„We also don’t like to play the blame game. But if you would go over there to the reception desk and sign him in, we’ll take care of him here.“
Diego slumped his brother into one of the chairs and went to the reception to pick up the papers. You stuck around to help him out and when a nurse came to bring Klaus to his room you accompanied Diego on his way out.
„You did the right thing. Your brother will thank you for it when he’s clean“, you told him.
„If he gets clean“, Diego corrected.
„That’s really not the way of thinking around here“, you smiled.
„Hey, maybe“, he hesitated, „Maybe we could get a coffee sometime“, he looked at you, „You know, s-so you- you can tell me h-how he’s doing.“
You laid a hand onto his arm and smiled. „I’d like that.“
Klaus came back to rehab many times but Diego and you stuck with each other. Two years after that meeting you had gotten married and another year later you had a son together who idolized his father. Klaus was also the only one of Diego’s siblings who was at your wedding and knew about his brother’s life. Klaus and his nephew got along amazingly, mostly due to the fact that (Y/S/N) saw a boy his age in his uncle.
„I will. But if he relapses-,“
„You’ll love him just the same and we’ll help him out because you’re just as much a softie for Klaus as you are for me and (Y/S/N)“, you smiled and came to the door to press a kiss to his lips before he left.
He rolled his eyes but couldn’t help the smile that spread on his face. That night, when you were on your way to bed Klaus and Diego came through the door and Klaus immediately came to hug you, complimenting the amazing waffles you always made, thereby telling you he wanted waffles in the middle of the night. You, being his friend and sister-in-law, complied and then tucked him in on the couch with the help of your husband. When you woke up the next morning both of them were gone. You didn’t worry about Diego, you know he could take care of himself. You were worried about your recently-rehabilitated junkie of a brother-in-law.
So after you had taken (Y/S/N) to kindergarten you left to go looking for Klaus. After searching through the city and not finding him you resorted to the last place on your list that you had never been to in your life. The Umbrella Academy. You were surprised to find out you could just enter without keys. The first ‚person‘ you encountered was Grace, Diego’s robot mom, who you were sure knew everything about you that Diego knew, simply because that man loved his mother more than anything in this world.
„Oh, hello, (Y/N). It is such a pleasure to finally meet you“, she smiled.
„Hello“, you were a bit taken aback, „I am looking for Klaus actually. Is he here?“
She paused for a moment and stared into the distance. „He should be in his room.“
Then she went about her business again. You hadn’t learned much about Klaus’ whereabouts because it could probably take hours to find his room in this mansion. When you were about to ascend the stairs you got lucky though and met yet another person.
„Oh, hi, you’re Vanya, right? Loved your book. Could you tell me where Klaus is?“, you asked.
„Uhm-, I don’t know, who are you?“, she looked you up and down.
„I’m (Y/N), I’m- I’m his doctor. From rehab. Just worried“, you smiled, knowing that Diego probably didn’t want all of his siblings knowing about his private life but everyone knew about Klaus’ problems.
She narrowed her eyes suspiciously. „Since when do you do house visits?“
„Since his third stay probably. Listen, I’m just worried about him. I care about him and-,“
„Oh my god, why, are you, like, dating him or something?“, she widened her eyes in shock.
You paused and then started laughing. „Oh god, no.“
She left you to it, still not telling you where Klaus’ room was and you realized that looking for him had no point but you did need to get to work so you needed to leave, hoping you wouldn’t have to treat Klaus again anytime soon.
Two days later you received a text from your husband. „They wanna turn mom off, help“. You stared at the text in confusion and went to pick up your son before you went to the Umbrella Academy again. It seemed very unlike Diego to invite you to his childhood home like that. When you arrived your son wiggled out of your arms and ran after Grace.
„Oh, hello, (Y/S/N), I was just about to make some cookies. Would you like to help me?“, she smiled and took his hand.
Your son nodded eagerly and skipped alongside his grandmother. You in turn saw Vanya and Diego standing in the doorway to the living room or whatever kind of room that was supposed to be.
„Are you okay, love?“, you asked, putting a hand on his arm.
He pulled you close. „She’s our mom. How can they even argue about that?“, he mumbled into your hair.
„Wait, hold on. You’re Diego’s girlfriend?“, Vanya asked.
„Wife, actually. And it’s none of your business“, Diego lifted his head to look at her.
„Diego, seriously? Shouldn’t you guys stick together right now? This is your mom. You shouldn’t argue with your siblings when you’re trying to avoid your mom’s death“, you jumped in.
„You can’t just throw that word around like that. But you’re right. At least she doesn’t want to kill mom.“
„Diego? Married? To you? Seems fake, but okay“, a tall, beautiful woman you identified as Alison came up to your group.
„Diego is married? What? Are you a robot like mom? Then again, he probably couldn’t build that, could he?“, a man who was probably two meters tall, Luther, came up beside Alison.
„(Y/N), my dearest, these two are evil“, Klaus said throwing himself onto you and pulling you out of Diego’s grasp in the process.
„Granny Grace and I made cookies, daddy, look“, (Y/S/N) came back from the direction he had taken off into earlier, Grace following him.
As your son proudly held a plate of cookies out to his dad and Klaus started nibbling on one the rest of the siblings stared at the scene in shock.
Grace smiled. „Is there a problem?“
The Illusion (part 1)
Summary: Reader has tried her hardest to keep the rest of the BAU from learning about her past. When her father dies and she has to go home, her secrets might come out.
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Umbrella Academy!Reader
Warnings: none
Word Count: 4.8k
This is kind of a crazy, stupid idea, but I’ve read a couple fics where the reader is like an Avenger or a vampire and the team finds out and I think they’re really fun, so I decided to give it a try. Part 2 will come out in a few days probably. I’m trying to decide how far into the show to go.
--------------------------
“Well I don’t know about you guys, but I am so ready to go home,” Derek groaned. The rest of the team echoed his sentiment as you all followed him into the small town police station that you had been in way too much this past week. You were more than ready to get back to your apartment and not talk to anyone until Monday.
In the back of your mind, you knew that Allison’s new movie had just come out. She had probably been getting ready for the premiere as you were tackling the unsub. Still, you should probably see the movie this weekend, while you had some free time without a case. Even though the premise didn’t exactly entice you, you should at least see it so you could text her about how good she was in it. It had been too long since you had talked to your sister. A few texts after the news of her divorce broke and some empty promises to hang out soon, but you hadn’t had a real conversation with her in over a year. It had been a lot longer since you had talked to the rest of your siblings, with the exception of Diego, who would appear occasionally to ask for your help in whatever “case” he was working. You had learned that it was easier to help him find whatever information he was looking for and then send him on his way. He was less likely to break into your apartment or try to hack your work computer that way.
Still, it would be nice to see Allison again, even if it was just on a screen. Your eyes flicked to Spencer before you could stop them. He invited you to so many niche events that maybe he wouldn’t question why you wanted to see the new Allison Hargreeves movie so badly or why you invited him.
You weren’t really sure if you two had been on any actual dates or if you were just two friends hanging out. He always had some reason why he was inviting you specifically. You knew Russian, so he wouldn’t have to translate the movie for you. You knew Roman comedy, so the two of you could discuss whether the performance was historically accurate. You knew Japanese art history, so you could carry out a conversation about the new exhibit. None of those reasons stopped the crush that you had on Spencer Reid.
But you couldn’t say anything. Besides the fact that he was your coworker, you couldn’t risk him getting dragged into any family drama. None of your coworkers knew about your family. As far as anyone was aware, you didn’t have a good relationship with your family, and you certainly didn’t like to talk about them. They probably had their own theories about why. What had your family done that made you not flinch when cases took a turn like this last one did? Why weren’t you surprised that a father could kill his child and then pretend to be the picture of grief? Because as far as you were concerned, your father had killed two of his children and had killed everything good about the other six.
These thoughts ran silently through your head as you helped the team pack everything up. Soon, you would be on the jet, heading back to DC. And tomorrow, you would see your sister’s new movie. Hopefully, with Spencer.
A noise from the TV in the corner of the station shook you out of your thoughts. Breaking news, apparently. You turned back to the papers you were organizing, prepared to ignore whatever celebrity cheating scandal they were about to break.
“...the death of the world’s most eccentric and reclusive billionaire…”
The words made your breath catch. There was only one person they could be talking about. You made yourself look at the TV. Staring back at you was your father’s face. Or a picture of it, at least. Though really, you saw pictures of your father more than you had ever actually seen your father in person.
“Wow.” JJ’s voice beside you startled you a bit. “Reginald Hargreeves. I haven’t thought about him in forever.”
“I can’t believe he died. I kind of assumed he would live forever,” Emily said from your other side. It seemed the TV had caught everyone’s attention. “I mean, he was a crazy billionaire. Aren’t they supposed to find the secret to eternal life?”
“Y/N, are you okay?” You met Spencer’s kind eyes, but couldn’t find any words for a few seconds. Finally, you managed a smile.
“Of course. It’s just kind of shocking, I guess. Why?”
“You’re rubbing your arm. You do that when you’re upset.” You hadn’t even realized that you were doing it again. Had you always done it? You must have, if Spencer had noticed.
You could still remember the first time. It was a few days after you had gotten the stupid tattoo. Your skin was still sore, but you had scrubbed and scrubbed, trying to get the tattoo to wash off, until your skin was red and raw. You knew it wouldn’t wash off. You knew, yet you tried constantly. Even now, apparently. Now your father was dead and you would still have that stupid tattoo that marked you as one of his. As one of the Umbrella Academy kids. A freak. A soldier. A pawn.
Shaking your head a bit to clear your thoughts, you looked at Spencer. “I think I’m just ready to be home. It’s been a long case, and this is weird news to get at the end of it. I’m just tired.”
You weren’t sure if Spencer believed you, but he nodded and didn’t question it. The team continued packing up in silence. It wasn’t until you were back on the jet that anyone brought it up again.
“So who was your favorite Umbrella Academy kid?” Derek asked, breaking the silence of the jet.
“Let me guess, yours was Spaceboy. You wanted to be super strong like him,” Emily teased lightly.
“For your information, my favorite was The Kraken. If he was that good with knives, imagine how good he would be throwing a football,” Derek corrected her, an easy smile on his face. How strange that everyone else could talk so casually about them. Of course, as far your team was concerned, they were just names and faces from TV or trading cards. They weren’t real people.
“Well I wanted to be The Rumor. Imagine how much easier sneaking out would be if you could just tell your parents to let you go.” Emily laughed as she said it. She didn’t understand how easy it was to get caught up in that power. You had seen it happen, though.
“I always liked The Illusion. I mean, making people see whatever you wanted them to would be so cool. Plus, reading minds would be helpful. It would make interrogations go a lot quicker.” It was only because of years of practice that you didn’t react to JJ’s words. The rest of the team began discussing how helpful it would be to be able to read an unsub’s mind. Not that you would know. You refused to do it.
“Project your consciousness into their brain. Know their thoughts. See what they see.”
Those words were some of your earliest memories. You would stand across from one of your siblings, reading their thoughts, seeing through their eyes, hearing through their ears, feeling what they felt, while your father kept repeating those words. That was before you had realized the true extent of your powers.
“Y/N, who was your favorite?” You blinked in surprise at Derek’s question. Everyone’s eyes were on you.
“It changed, I guess.” It was a lame answer, but they accepted it and continued to argue amongst themselves about who was the best. It was the truth, though. You had always been close with Allison. That had never changed. The girls had to stick together. You guessed that you were probably close to Vanya when you were younger, but you saw her less and less as you got older and training began to occupy more of your time. You certainly weren’t close to her now. Not after what she had written about you.
You and Five had been close for a time. Both of you were desperate to prove to your father that you were more powerful than he thought. That you weren’t worthless just because you were on the lower half of the rankings. But then Five had disappeared, and you discovered a new aspect of your powers.
It was because of Luther. A few weeks had passed since Five’s disappearance, and Luther, in a horrible attempt to “be a leader” and “boost morale” had said that Five brought the disappearance on himself because he hadn’t listened when Dad told him not to try time travelling. Something in you had snapped. You wanted Luther to experience what you had imagined Five did. Lost in darkness, unsure of where or when you were. Just an expanse of nothingness.
You didn’t even know you were doing it at first, but Luther started to scream. It was over as quick as it began, thanks to the shock of Luther’s yell. He shivered as he explained that suddenly he couldn’t see, hear, or feel anything. It was like nothingness. Luther never quite forgave you for that, but you would never forget the joyful look in your father’s eyes as he realized that it was your doing. That not only could you tap into another person’s brain. You could manipulate it.
But it was harder to control. And after you accidentally left one criminal permanently blind, you were scared of your powers. Klaus and Ben understood how you felt, and the three of you became inseparable. Even after Ben died, that didn’t change. None of your siblings knew that Ben was still around, but you did. Klaus would let you use his eyes and ears so that you could talk to Ben. You missed them. Klaus would show up at your apartment sometimes, looking for money. You would get him to stay for a few days and take some time off work so you could watch him. The three of you would hang out like old times. But eventually you would have to go back to work, and you would come back to find an empty apartment and missing cash.
Despite the fact that Diego was the one you talked to most often now, you two hadn’t gotten along as children. There were rare times when you would click, but for the most part it was constant bickering. You two were too much alike. Quick to anger and slow to forgive.
You were stuck in these memories for the rest of the flight. No one said anything about your silence, but you did feel Spencer’s gaze on you often. You continued to rub your arm, like you would be able to rub off the tattoo that was always covered by your sleeve.
Most of the team left the office pretty quickly once you arrived back in DC. They dropped off whatever needed to be dropped off, then headed home. You lingered, wanting to catch Hotch alone. It would be easier if there was no one around to question what you needed to talk to him about.
“Do you want me to wait up, Y/N? We can take the metro back together.” You smiled genuinely at Spencer’s question. The two of you lived close to each other, so you often left together, either carpooling or taking the metro together.
“No, it’s fine. I need to talk to Hotch before I leave. I’ll see you soon.” Spencer gave you a small wave as he left. You watched him go, feeling strangely sad. How you wished you could walk out with him and ask if he wanted to go see a movie tomorrow night. It seemed so long ago when that had been your plan.
“Hotch.” You knocked on his door, waiting for his answer before opening the door. He was looking over paperwork, as usual, and barely looked up when you came in. “I was wondering if I could have a few days off.”
That made him look up, his eyes drilling into yours. “Is everything okay?”
“Yes.” No. “I just need a few days. I don’t want to be gone long. It’s my brother.” It was the same thing you said whenever Klaus or Diego showed up. You waited for Hotch’s answer, a carefully blank look on your face. There were always a few seconds where you would worry that he had somehow figured out who you were. That the fake last name and fake childhood records weren’t enough. But they always were.
“Of course, Y/L/N. Take as much time as you need. And we’re here if you need anything.”
“Thank you, sir.” You smiled at him as you walked out of his office, though smiling was the last thing you wanted to do. Now you had no reason not to go back home. You would have to try to mourn your father. You would have to see your siblings.
--------------------------
The house looked exactly like you remembered. Big and empty. The sound of the door echoed as it closed behind you. You wondered if anyone else was here yet. You heard the steps of someone walking towards the entryway. Allison, if you had to guess, based on the footsteps.
“Y/N!” You were right. The smile that lit up your face was mirrored on Allison’s as you two rushed to hug each other. “I’ve missed you.”
“You too. I hope you don’t mind if I don’t make it to your movie this weekend.” The two of you laughed for a few seconds before remembering why you were there. “How are you doing?”
Allison shrugged and shook her head slightly. “I already lost my husband and I’m not allowed to talk to my daughter. Now my father is dead. It’s been a rough year. How are you? How’s the genius you’re almost dating?”
“I’m good. We just finished a rough case yesterday, so I’m a little bummed that I don’t get to relax this weekend. Spencer is also good. The other week we went to a shadow puppet theater festival. He said that he was glad he had a friend who was willing to go to stuff like that with him, so I don’t think he’s interested in me.”
Allison linked her arm through yours. You walked slowly through the halls, not talking. It was comforting enough just being with someone who understood what you were going through. With Allison, actions spoke louder than words.
“Is anyone else here yet?”
“Diego and Luther. I haven’t seen Klaus or Vanya. Who knows if they’ll show up.”
“Klaus will show up if he knows about it and isn’t in rehab. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vanya doesn’t show. She’s already said a lot about Dad. I don’t know if she has anything more to add.”
“You’re still mad.” It wasn’t a question, but you nodded anyway. “You know how excluded Vanya was growing up. Can you blame her?”
“That wasn’t our fault. If she wanted to tell her story, that’s fine. If she wanted to drag Dad’s name through the mud, that’s fine. He more than deserved it. She didn’t need to write about the rest of us though. I mean, my coworkers read that book. One detail that’s too specific and they could have figured out who I am. ‘So desperate to prove that she’s worthy of being called a hero that even now she devotes her life to fighting crime.’ She might as well have told everyone that I’m an FBI agent. I’ve tried so hard to build a normal life, and she could have ruined it all.”
A car pulled up outside the house as we passed by a window. You paused, watching as Vanya got out of the back. “Speak of the devil.”
Allison gave you a disapproving look. “I’m going to go see her. Coming?”
“Definitely not. I’ll see you later.” You could hear the door open and Vanya’s voice come floating up. You continued walking until you found myself outside of your father’s room. You could hear the floor creaking inside. Too heavy to be Diego. Must be Luther.
“What are you doing?” You asked as you walked into the room. Luther was standing by your dad’s bed, inspecting it. He was a lot bigger than the last time you had seen him. And his mind seemed to be screaming about why. You tried not to read his thoughts, but Luther’s head had always been a bit of an open book.
“This is where he died. Where Pogo found him.” Didn’t really explain what he was doing, but you could guess.
“No sign of a struggle.” You walked over to a window. It was locked. All of the windows were locked. “No sign of forced entry. No way someone could sneak in without Pogo or Mom knowing.”
“She’s right.” Diego entered. His eyes widened when he saw Luther. “Oh, you got big, Luther. What’s the secret, huh? Protein shakes? Low carbs?”
“What do you want?”
Diego pulled some paper from his pocket, holding it out to Luther. “The autopsy report.” Of course, being Diego, he pulled it back when Luther reached for it. Anything to rile up Luther.
“And you have this why?”
“Well, that’s because I broke into the coroner’s office. And surprise, surprise, Dad’s death was normal.”
“Y/N, he’s not allowed to do that,” Luther said, pointing an accusing finger at Diego as he looked at you. “You’re an FBI agent. Arrest him.”
“I’m not arresting my brother at Dad’s funeral. And I’m not on the clock. Grow up, Luther.” You took the report from Luther, glancing over it quickly. Heart failure. Normal. No reason to question it. But Luther would, and you didn’t want to be there when he and Diego started to fight. “I’ll leave you boys to it. I’m going to see if I can find Klaus.”
You left quickly. Where would Klaus go if he was here? You rolled your eyes when you realized the obvious answer. Dad’s office. Not only would there be valuables there, it would also be like giving the old man a giant middle finger. Typical Klaus.
Sure enough, you could hear him rummaging around the desk before you could see him. “Looking for something?” His head popped up, a grin splitting his face when he saw you. You wouldn’t stop him from taking anything, and he knew it. You didn’t need to enter his mind to know that he was high. You could see it in his eyes just as clearly as you could see the fresh rehab bracelet on his wrist. “Fresh out of rehab and already high? I don’t know how you manage it.”
“I guess I’m just incredible.” You rolled your eyes at him, but still accepted his hug with a smile.
“I know that this is hard for you, but Ben should be here. Even if the others can’t see him. He should get a chance to say goodbye.”
Klaus’s eyes were glued to the floor as he spoke. “I know.”
You didn’t get a chance to say anything else before Allison came in. It was nice, just the three of you. You three never fought. Mostly, you and Allison used to just laugh at whatever bit Klaus was doing.
“Number Three,” he was saying in a bad impression of your father’s voice when he was interrupted by Luther.
“Get out of his chair.” Of course. Perfect Number One was still so worried about following your father’s orders. Even now, he made Klaus empty his pockets as the two of you tried to leave so Luther and Allison could talk in private. But once you two were out of the room, you grinned and handed Klaus some things that you had snuck in your pockets before Luther came in. Nothing important or too valuable. It was really just a gesture to tell Klaus that you were on his side.
“And whatever is in your pants, make sure it’s nothing important before you sell it.” Being Klaus, he pretended to have no idea what you were talking about, but he shot you a wink before he wandered away.
--------------------------
You stood at the bar next to Klaus, wondering who was going to speak first. Your money was on Luther. You accepted the drink that Klaus handed you without bothering to ask what it was. Any alcohol would help you get through this.
“I guess we should get this started.” You were right. You took a seat as Luther stood up. You mostly tuned Luther out, as you always had. He was talking about scattering your father’s ashes.
“Dad had a favorite spot?” Allison asked.
“You know under the oak tree.” Everyone looked blankly at Luther. You remembered watching your father and Luther talking there when you were younger. It used to make you jealous. Now, it just made you mad. “We used to sit out there all the time. None of you ever did that?”
“No, Luther. We didn’t. He didn’t like any of us.” You gestured to the rest of your siblings as you spoke. You shouldn’t be doing this. You shouldn’t be lashing out. You were an FBI agent. Surely you were better than that. But there was something about being in this house with your siblings with the focus on your father that turned you into a child again.
And it didn’t matter whether you added fuel to the fire or not. Someone was bound to set everything off.
“Listen up. There’s still some important things we need to discuss.”
“Like what?” Diego asked. You knew what Luther was going to say before he said anything.
“Like the way he died.”
“And here we go,” Diego muttered.
“I don’t understand. I thought they said it was a heart attack,” Vanya said, confusion evident in her voice.
“Yeah according to the coroner.”
“Well wouldn’t they know?” You hated to agree with Vanya, but you had to.
“Luther thinks that there was foul play,” you explained. “However, there was no sign of forced entry and no sign of a struggle.”
“Well, Y/N is an FBI agent. Why don’t you trust her?” Allison asked Luther.
“Look, I’m just saying something happened. The last time I talked to Dad, he sounded strange.”
“Oh, quelle surprise,” Klaus interjected as he gurgled his drink. That wouldn’t help Luther’s anger.
“Strange how?” Allison asked.
“He sounded on edge,” Luther explained. “Told me I should be careful who to trust.”
“Luther, he was a paranoid, bitter old man, who was starting to lose what was left of his marbles.” Of course, Luther defended your father before turning to Klaus.
“Look, I know you don’t like to do it, but I need you to talk to Dad.”
Klaus laughed. “No I can’t. I’m not in the right frame of mind.”
“You’re high?” You didn’t know how Allison was surprised. It was obvious.
“Then there’s the issue of the missing monocle.”
“Who cares about a stupid monocle, Luther?” you groaned. You noticed the way Diego’s face shifted for a second. So he had the monocle. Or he at least knew what happened to it. “No one is going to break in without alerting Mom or Pogo, kill Dad and make it look an accident, then take the stupid monocle. No one that smart would be that dumb.”
“Exactly! It’s worthless. Whoever took it, I think it was personal. Someone with a grudge.”
“Where are you going with this?”
You shook your head as Diego said what you were thinking. “Isn’t it obvious, Klaus? He thinks one of us killed Dad.” The stunned faces of your siblings looked at Luther. You shook your head in disgust.
“Way to lead, Luther,” you said sarcastically. Allison and Vanya both got up and left the room.
“Can you blame me? I mean, you’ve never tried to hide how much you hate Dad. And Diego’s some sort of vigilante now. Both of you could easily sneak in and kill him.”
“You’re crazy, man. You’re crazy.” Klaus shook his head as he got up and headed back to the bar.
“I can’t believe you, Luther.”
“Do us all a favor and go back to the moon, monkey boy.” Luther’s eyes widened at my words before his face turned red with anger.
“Get out of my head,” he growled.
“I don’t need to be in your head to figure it out. Besides, your brain is so empty that your thoughts come floating out begging to be heard.”
“Neither of you are denying it,” Luther said finally. You threw your hands up and Diego stood up suddenly.
“Why would either of us decide to kill Dad now. What’s the trigger? It doesn't make sense. Unlike you, Luther, we moved on with our lives,” you explained slowly, like he was a child.
“Don’t talk down to me just because you’re an FBI agent.”
“You think there’s a murder. I catch serial killers. You should be begging for my help.”
“Unless he thinks the two of us teamed up to kill Dad,” Diego said. The two of you turned to look at Luther. He at least had the decency to look a little ashamed that he was thinking that exact thing. At that point, everyone’s voices had risen so much that you barely noticed the knock at the door.
“I’m out of here,” Diego said softly when Luther didn’t respond.
“No you’re not. Not until we figure out what happened.” Luther grabbed Diego’s arm, so Diego, of course, punched Luther in the face. Within a few seconds, they were fighting in earnest. Diego had his knives out and everything.
“Oh, you guys, don’t do this now,” Klaus whined from the bar. “Y/N, will you do something? Take away their sight or something. I’m too sober for this.”
You hadn’t used your powers in years. Ideally, Allison would come in and rumor them to stop, but you didn’t know where she had gone. Taking a deep breath, you focused your consciousness like your father had taught you. You were careful to only enter Diego’s and Luther’s minds, leaving Klaus out of it.
Darkness.
You focused on darkness, blocking out everything that your brothers were seeing. You could do this. You could control it, at least until Allison was back. Of course, being unable to see didn’t stop your brothers from blundering around.
“Y/N, stop!” Luther’s words were accompanied by a sharp blow to the back of your head. “Oh no, Y/N, I didn’t know you were right there. I can’t see anything. Just stop this, Y/N.”
“I’m just trying to stop you two from destroying the house. Besides, isn’t this a great way to honor Dad’s memory? Fighting with each other is what he always made us do.” You tried to stand back up, but your head was spinning from the blow and from the strain. There was once a time when you could hold ten people in the darkness with ease, but you weren’t used to using your powers anymore. You no longer had to spend hours each day inside other people’s minds. You could feel your control slipping, but you couldn’t stop. Your head hurt.
“Y/N!” Klaus yelled in terror. “I can’t see, Y/N.”
You had to stop. You had to stop. You couldn’t. Your head hurt and you couldn’t seem to find a way out of their minds. You were aware of other minds in the house. More than there should be. But why? And why did your head hurt so bad?
“Y/N, what are you doing? Ahhh my head!” Diego yelled. He sounded like he was in pain. You were making him feel your pain. Since when could you do that? Your Dad would have been so happy.
“I heard a rumor that you stopped.” Allison’s voice rang out. Suddenly, you were back in your own head and the splitting headache was just yours. Diego and Luther both collapsed on the floor with you. Klaus was by your side almost instantly, a new glass in hand for you, which you gulped down quickly before handing it back to him for a refill.
“Remind me not to mess with Y/N again,” Diego sighed. You met his eyes with an apologetic smile. It felt so much like you were kids who got a little carried away during training.
“I guess I got a little carried away.” The two of you laughed, and even Luther joined in eventually. The laughter stopped abruptly when a new voice spoke.
“Y/N?”
4,8,19 for klaus please??
There you go, anon! Hope you like it!
4 Kissing on sofa, foreheads pressed together, breathy, soft tender. 8 “I don’t…i’ve never…been in a relationship and i’m going to make mistakes…I just need you to tell me. I need you to talk to me.” & 19 “God, you are so fucking cute.”
Tumblr media
You were walking down the street at an unhurried pace, for once not being in a rush. Your life could be quite overwhelming sometimes, but no today. No, today was a day for you and only you. You'd started off by treating yourself to a nice breakfast, and then spent some time at your favorite bookstore. You were now headed back home for a good reading session.
You looked at the book in your hand, excited to get back to start it. As you lifted your gaze back to look at where you were going, your head twisted as someone familiar passed you by.
"Allison?!" you exclaimed, back tracking a few steps to get a better look. "It is you! Holy shit!"
"Y/N?" Allison paused when you called her name, and you saw the shock on her face as she recognized you. "It's been so long! How have you been?" she asked with a smile as she pulled you in for a hug.
A grin appeared on your face as you held her back. You hadn't seen her in years, but Allison used to be your best friend. It hadn't been easy being friends with a member of the Umbrella Academy, as they were never really allowed much of a social life. But you'd found a way, and you two had been incredibly close for a long time.
You had drifted apart when she moved away and became an actress, but you didn't blame her for it one bit. It wasn't anyone's fault, it was just the way life went sometimes.
"I've been good," you said as you let go of her and shook your head gently in disbelief. "I can't believe you're here. What brings you ba- Oh, shit. I'm sorry. I just remembered, your dad died. I heard about it on the news… I'm so sorry..." you trailed off, feeling embarrassed by the insensitivity of your question.
"It's fine. I mean, you know how he was."
You nodded. "Yeah, I know. But still, how are you doing?" you asked.
"I'm okay. It is a bit weird, being back here, seeing everyone again."
You nodded once again. "Ah yes, your siblings. How are they?" You went for a nonchalant tone, but weren't quite sure you sold it.
"Oh, you mean how's Klaus?" You gave her an indignant look and she laughed at your reaction, shaking her head slightly. "Come on, Y/N. I've always known you had this huge crush on him. It was obvious to absolutely everyone." You scoffed at that. "Except maybe to Klaus," she mused and you rolled your eyes.
"I do- did not have a crush on Klaus!" you exclaimed a bit too vehemently. "I was just wondering how your siblings were doing, like the good friend that I am!"
"Hmm, if you say so," she said with a laugh and you fought the urge to roll your eyes once more. Were you really that transparent? And not just now, but all these years?
"Are you busy right now? I'd love to catch up some more. Do you want to come back to the Academy with me?" she asked.
"Yeah, sounds great," you answered her with a smile.
You took a deep breath and tried not to overthink what might await you at the Academy and you started walking.
~
"Wow, this place hasn't changed one bit," you said as you looked around. You hadn't been here very often, only daring to come when completely certain that Sir Hargreeves wouldn't be present. But you still remembered a lot about it, as it had left quite an impression on you.
Allison hummed in agreement as she watched you take it all in. You made your way to the living room, engrossed by everything around you, not noticing the person laying on the couch in front of you.
"Y/N?" You jumped back in surprise as you finally saw the man in nothing but tight leather pants on the couch who had scrambled up at your approach. A wild grin made its way onto his face as he took you in.
"Klaus?" you said hesitantly and his smile grew.
He opened his arms and gestured at you. "Well, come on now! Get in there!" he exclaimed and you let out a little nervous laugh before complying.
Klaus had always been quite affectionate with you, and that certainly hadn't helped your… situation.
He really gives the best hugs, you thought, a smile forming on your face as you breathed him in. Then you saw Allison appear behind Klaus, giving you a knowing look and a small smirk, causing you to pull away and clear your throat awkwardly. "Right, um… it's good to see you, Klaus?" Your voice broke slightly out of nervousness and the statement came out more as a question than anything else. You cringed at the way you were acting. Why could you never just be normal around him?
"It is so good to see you, my dear. It's been way too long." The smile on his face turned a little softer as he plopped back down on the couch.
Allison came to stand beside you, and you finally took your focus off Klaus, remembering you weren't here for him. You made it a few steps before turning around and sending a little wave his way as a goodbye.
"God, you're so fucking cute," he mumbled.
You didn't hear it, but Allison did. She whirled around to face her brother. "What was that, Klaus?" she asked, the knowing smile back on her face.
Klaus looked panicked and he quickly backtracked. "What? Me? I didn't say anything! Not a single thing!" He made a gesture of keeping his mouth shut and Allison laughed, knowing very well what she'd heard.
"Actually, Y/N, could you wait here for a few minutes? I have to… call Patrick, yeah." At the look of confusion on your face, she elaborated, "My husband. Well, soon to be ex-husband. I have to talk to him about our daughter, Claire. I'll catch you up on all that after. Is that alright?"
"Of course," you agreed. A few minutes alone with Klaus wouldn't kill you, you could handle this.
"Great," she said, smiling, and she left the room.
You took a calming breath before making your way to the couch where Klaus sat.
"So," you started, Klaus' eyes on you making you nervous, but you pushed through. "What have you been up to all these years?"
"Oh, you know, this, that," he answered vaguely as he pointed at empty spaces, not wanting to delve into his checkered past with you.
He saw you deflate at his lack of answer and quickly added, "But what about you? I'm sure whatever you've done has been a lot more interesting than me."
You laughed at his poor attempt at changing the subject before answering. "Same as you, I'd say. Little bit of this, a lot of that," you teased with a small smile and he laughed with you.
"Okay, I get it, that was a lame answer," he said jokingly. "I just… would rather not talk about my past, if that's okay?" he added, a bit more seriously.
"Yeah, of course. Don't worry about it. Sorry I asked, it's none of my business, really," you agreed quickly.
"No!" he exclaimed and you raised a brow at him, surprised by his outburst. He winced. "That's not- that's not what I meant," he assured and you looked at him with a questioning look, willing him to continue. "I just don't want you to see me like that…" he trailed off.
"See you like what?" you gently asked, looking into his eyes.
"Like the piping hot mess that I am," he answered with a sheepish grin, gesturing at himself.
"Klaus, no offense, but I already know how you are." He winced and you shook your head quickly to indicate you weren't finished. "I know how you are, and that has never stopped me from caring for you. You don't have to hide who you are around me, I won't judge you, ever." The genuine smile and relief on his face made you smile back at him. You thought back to what he had just said and added curiously, "But wait, why do you even care what I think of you?"
He cringed slightly as he realized the implications behind what he'd said. "Oh that?" His hand flew in a wild gesture, and you backed away with a laugh as he almost knocked you with it in the process. "Well, I may have been carrying a teensy weensy torch for you all these years?"
You gaped at him, not willing to let yourself get happy before you confirmed. "Wait, are you being serious?"
"Dead," he said with a small hesitant smile, and you finally let yours appear on your face. You grabbed him and pulled him close to you in a passionate kiss. You couldn't believe you'd waited this long to finally do this.
You let your forehead rest against his as you gently pulled your lips from his.
"Well, that was unexpected," he huffed with a small laugh and you smiled. "I've been dreaming of that since the first time Allison brought you in here." Your smile grew at his words and you kissed him once more.
"Was it like in your dreams?" you asked cheekily when you pulled apart for the second time, this time putting a bit more space between you two.
"No…" he trailed off and you began to frown before he continued, "this was much better." He grinned and you playfully slapped his arm at the short term worry he caused you. He laughed as he grabbed the arm you'd used to hit him, pulling you close to him to lay your head against his chest.
He began to run his fingers through your hair, and you closed your eyes, enjoying the moment. After a little while, he spoke up again. "I want to be with you. Like really bad. But I don’t…I’ve never…been in a relationship and I’m going to make mistakes…I just need you to tell me. I need you to talk to me.”
You looked up at him, your eyes full of love. "Of course, Klaus. I want to be with you, too. It's gonna be okay, we'll figure things out as we go," you reassured him gently and he nodded, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. You smiled against his mouth before a realization hit you.
"Wait, where's Allison? She's been gone a really long time," you mused.
Klaus let out a laugh, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "I'm pretty sure that her phone call was just an excuse to leave us alone. Give us the kick in the ass we both clearly needed."
"Hmm you're probably right. She was just teasing me earlier about my feelings for you. But how could she have known this would work? She didn't know how you felt, did she?"
He chuckled nervously before answering, "Ah, yeah, about that. I may or may not have said 'god, you're so fucking cute' after that adorable little wave you sent my way, and Allison may or may not have heard me, prompting her to immediately leave us alone."
You laughed wildly at his antics, placing another quick kiss to his lips before saying, "Well, I'm definitely glad she heard you."
inhibitions (or, high five)
Fandom: The Umbrella Academy
Characters: Vanya & Five
Word Count: 2062
Warnings: drug use, mentions of alcohol abuse
“Ahem.”
Slam. “Ow.”
“What are you doing?” Vanya asked, peering around the cabinet door to where Five was cursing and rubbing his head.
“Nothing.”
Vanya raised her eyebrows. “Doesn’t look like nothing.”
“Yeah, well, it’s nothing, okay?” Five snapped, sticking his sore head back in the cabinet.
Well, that’s bullshit. “You sure?”
Five huffed. “Let me assure you, I am one hundred percent certain that I am doing absolutely nothing of interest to you right now.”
He briefly pulled his head out (carefully avoiding the top) to see Vanya giving him one of her soft smiles. “Rooting around in the back of a cabinet is pretty interesting to me.”
A long, low exhale. He was eyeing her carefully, the same way he did the first day he came home. Like he didn’t know who to trust. “Fine. Do you happen to know where dear old Dad kept the alcohol?”
The crease between Vanya’s eyes deepened. “We have a whole bar, Five.”
“Yes, yes, I know, but we’re… uh, out. Did the old man have any backup storage?”
“I think he got rid of it all when Klaus started drinking.” She put a gentle hand on Five’s shoulder, startling him. Instantly, the hand was back at her side. Right. The touch thing. “Are you okay?”
He sighed, running his small hand through his hair. “Yep. Fine. Great. Just… need to take the edge off.”
Everything went still.
“Five.”
“What,” he snapped. “Are you going to lecture me about the long-term effects of alcohol on my goddamn pre-teen body like everyone else? Because trust me, I’ve calculated exactly the blood alcohol content that –”
“No, I – no. I was just going to say…” She swallowed hard, then met his gaze, her kind eyes and his blazing ones. The corner of her lip tugged upward. “I’ve got something that might help.”
*
Honestly, Vanya never thought that her birthday gift from Klaus would ever be anything more than a joke. “So you don’t blow up the moon again,” he’d said with a wink, “now that you’re off your pills and everything.” But now, sitting on the floor of her childhood bedroom ripping open a package of laced gummies with her 58-year-old brother, she was so, so glad she had it.
The circles under Five’s eyes had gotten worse over the past few weeks, and even though she knew he’d never say anything, it was clear that putting down the staggering weight of the apocalypse after forty-five years of carrying it was proving difficult for her brother. She saw the way he startled at his reflection, the way his fingers flexed absent-mindedly toward his hip, right where a holster might be, the way he counted the people in the room, the way he would talk too quietly or too loudly, or left out details in stories, as if he couldn’t gauge how much of a given conversation was supposed to happen in his head.
He’d taken to drinking, of course – he’d been drinking since he got back. But now he seemed to rarely be without a glass in his hand. And Vanya saw the way his shoulders relaxed when he took a sip, the way his tapping foot and twitching eyelid settled.
Vanya was used to watching. She knew how to see things.
She’d been saving the candy especially for him, for when he needed it. Tomorrow she’d go to the liquor store for him; she knew better than to recommend he go cold-turkey. Five was smart. With the right support, he’d slow down on his own, when he was ready. That was her job, being the right support.
Therapy would probably be good too.
“I don’t like sweets,” he reminded her, and for a second her heart lurched for the thirteen-year-old boy who was once caught with a half-empty can of cake frosting under his bed.
“These’ll help. Just trust me?” It was a request, an olive branch. Slowly, he nodded.
“Okay.”
*
“—It wasn’t even the most dangerous situation I’d been in that week! Dolores was furious at me for days, of course, but at least I got some wine out of it,” Five said, tipping his head back to stare at the popcorn ceiling. Vanya was giggling at his story, watching the faint smile dance over her brother’s face at the memory.
“I thought the apocalypse would be, just like… shitty forever.”
Five sighed. “It was. But you know. You can’t be unhappy for 45 years straight, your body doesn’t work that way. There were good times.”
Vanya giggled again. She couldn’t seem to stop doing that. “I can’t do anything straight.”
For a beat, Five studied her, his expression unreadable. Then he broke into a surprisingly bright smile.
“That was a joke.” It wasn’t a question.
Vanya gave her brother a light shove. The way a sister might to a brother. “Of course it was, idiot.”
He shoved her back, smiling wider than Vanya had seen in a long time. “Don’t call me an idiot. Idiot.” The twitch in his eyebrow was gone. Vanya suddenly went quiet, the light feeling in her core spreading throughout her chest at this realization.
“Five?”
“Hm?”
“I love you a lot.”
Five was quiet too, then, but not unusually so; Five was always quiet, when he wasn’t yelling. His eyes traced patterns in the ridges and dips of the ceiling plaster.
“I love you too.” He turned to look at her. “I missed you.”
“I know, Five,” she replied, because she did. “I missed you too.” Because she does. Did. Does.
His face split again, into that same bright, open smile. “You know what I would think about? Out in the apocalypse?”
“What?”
“When we would stay up all night sometimes talking. Remember that? Jesus, we must’ve been… ten? Eleven? And we’d be up for hours… I don’t even remember what we talked about. Math, probably.” Five shrugged. “I had conversations like that with Dolores, after. Or sometimes you.”
“Me?”
He smoothed out the fabric of his shorts. “Yeah, you were there in the apocalypse with me. I had your book, remember? Closest I could get to someone talking to me.”
Vanya tried to meet his eyes, but he was gone somewhere. A gentle hand found his arm. He flinched a little, but didn’t pull away. “I’m here now.”
He nodded, and when he spoke, it sounded strangled somehow. “Thanks.”
A passing truck honked its horn. Vanya thunked her head back on a bedpost, sinking into the floaty feeling that had settled right around her sternum. She got why Klaus did this. It felt like she could say anything, or do anything, and everything would be okay.
Five made a kind of whining noise in the back of his throat. “I want donuts.”
Vanya closed her eyes, smiling. “Shit, donuts sound great right now.”
“The jelly-filled ones from Griddy’s.”
“Yeah, when you get there at like eight p.m. and they’ve just finished the last batch of the day so they’re, like, fresh and shit.”
“Fuck,” Five sighed, pulling the back of his blazer over his head and slouching. “I want donuts.”
Despite herself, Vanya started giggling again. “You look ridiculous.”
“Excuse you,” Five replied, wrinkling his nose. “I am a trained assassin of the Commission, licensed to travel space and time with an assault rifle. I never look ridiculous.”
“You look like a Founding Father.”
The look that Five shot Vanya sent chills running down her spine. But like, in a fun way.
“Take that back.”
“No.”
“You asshole, take it –”
“No, you look like Benjamin goddamn Frank – hey!” Before she could so much as blink, Five had pounced, swatting at her arms when she laughingly brought them up to protect herself. “Go away, you know I’m right!”
Five was grinning too, slipping his fingers past her weak defenses to mess up her hair and poke at her cheeks until she had to hold her stomach in laughter. “Take it back, I said!” he crowed, sounding like he was on the edge of laughter himself. He managed a lucky strike when blunt fingernails skated over the crease of her neck, and she scrunched her shoulder with a squeal.
“No – no, fuck, Five –”
Vanya’s flailing hands struggled to gain any sort of advantage against Five’s skilled assassin reflexes, to no avail. She was horribly ticklish at the best of times, but now the ruthless pokes that were attacking her nerves overwhelmed her, and she curled up into a ball of giggles on the floor.
Through wet lashes she could see Five’s grin as he methodically took her apart, relentlessly tickling all the places he knew were torture – ears down to collarbone, and then jumping down to squeeze at her sides, making her shriek. His skinny teenage fingers were unfortunately perfect for tickling at her ribs and sneaking their way into the crease of her neck.
Vanya was laughing the hardest she’d laughed in a long time, maybe ever. Nobody in recent memory had known her like this, known her well enough to completely eviscerate her the way that Five always, always could. Damn him. This was definitely cheating.
Her laughter hit a fever pitch when Five got a hold of one of her kicking feet. Shit.
“Please, I – fuck! Okay, okay, I take it back, mercy!”
Five stopped, smirking. “Assassins don’t show mercy, except to ticklish sisters.”
A few residual giggles escaped through Vanya’s nose. “Shut up.”
“Me, shut up? Me? Excuse you, you called me a fucking Founding Father –”
“I didn’t say you were a Founding Father, I said you looked –”
“Vanya, I don’t think you understand that I am still holding on to your ankle, and strategically – hey!”
Swiftly, Vanya scooped up his own ankle and held it in her lap, a mischievous smirk on her face. She had completely forgotten about Five’s thing with unanticipated touch, but his eyes were just as bright as hers. “Oh yeah?”
Five’s smirk didn’t waver. “Nice try, I’m not ticklish.”
“Is that so?” She tugged on his leg, tucking it under her arm and hovering her fingertips over his knee. Five nearly choked.
“Wait –”
A squeeze was all it took for Five to collapse into hysterical laughter, squirming and flailing, but more squeezes couldn’t hurt. Vanya was grinning, digging in mercilessly. Served him right for attacking her, he wasn’t not the only one who remembers ticklish spots. It occurred to her that she was maybe being a little cruel, going right for his weakness immediately, but the loud, bright cackles pouring out of her brother’s mouth were worth every kick that he landed.
Five pounded a fist on the floor, mouthing something resembling words, but he couldn’t manage anything coherent through his helpless laughter. All right then, mercy it is. She graciously released his leg, which shot up into his body as he curled in on himself.
“F-fuck you,” he panted.
Vanya chuckled. “Oh come on, surely assassins are familiar with the concept of revenge?”
He said nothing, but his smile, weak from tickles, widened. She wrinkled her brow. “What’s that for?”
“S’nothing. Hic.”
“Are you… are those hiccups?”
“No.” Hic. “…Fuck off.”
Vanya burst into another fit of laughter, earning her a light shove. Five tried to school his face into an angry expression, but he was laughing too.
“I take back everything I said, I didn’t miss you, I don’t love you, you’re an asshole –”
She giggled and shoved him back. “You’re an asshole, but we love you anyway.”
The faux-anger melted away. “I know.”
For a long moment, a comfortable silence fell over the siblings, the kind that they used to fall into around four in the morning when they had both squeezed onto Five’s bed for the night to talk about training and music and math and family.
Five yawned despite himself. “M’fuckin’ sleepy,” he grumbled.
Vanya smiled. “You sound like a kid.”
“I look like one, too,” he said, and at first Vanya thought he might be angry. He usually was when he talked about his body. But then he smiled again. He kept doing that. His eyes were shining. “I’m sorry it took me so long. The calculation took years.”
Vanya shifted to face him. “Talk to me about it.”
Five’s smile grew, and Vanya knew, somewhere in her chest, that they would be okay.
Leather & Vanilla - MGK x Rook
Characters: Machine Gun Kelly x Rook Cappelletty (Cassie mentioned)
Word count: 2222 (ohh that’s satisfying.)
Warnings:Swearing, oral, light smut
Smut or fluff?: Smut & Fluff
Rook was admittedly cold, never caring for night shoots, especially in a leather jacket and jeans. His hands were buried in his pockets and his arms were drawn close to his body. “Fucking crazy, hate night shoots.” Rook mumbled and shot Slim a glare who was struggling to hold back a laugh.
Having just finished a portion of the night clips Colson smiled seeing that Rook was cold. “Hey, c’mere” He came over to his boyfriend and pulled him into a hug. “I told you to slip a hoodie on under it, didn't I?” Colson held Rook close and wrapped his jacket around him and Rook. He was in between scenes and had a few minutes to kill.
Not refusing Colson’s hug, Rook nuzzled into Colson, wrapping his arms around the man’s waist. “Yeah, you did” He was regretting not doing what he’d been told, the classic brat move, sacrificing warmth for the ‘aesthetic’ Rook sighed when Colson was surprisingly warm for being in the cold.
“And who didn't listen?” Colson asked; pressing a hand to the younger man’s back. “Just because you look good in leather doesn’t mean you should pick the aesthetic over the warmth”
“I didn’t listen'' He mumbled, shivering this time not from the cold but from Colson’s hand on his back. “I get it, listen to Colson next time.” Rook rolled his eyes, his warmth being called back to filming again.
Colson kissed Rook softly and apologized for having to get back to work so soon and kissed the drummer's head before letting him go and getting back to the scene he needed to do.
It was near two in the morning when they all got back to the house from the shoot and Colson told Rook to go up and change into something warm. In the meantime, he and Cassie headed to the kitchen to start some hot chocolate for her, Rook and himself. “I told him to put a hoodie on but he wouldn’t listen” Colson got the water in the kettle and turned it on letting the water heat.
Cassie got the marshmallow’s and found the candy canes. “Dad, whipped cream?” She asked, it was a toss up whether he father used it or not, sometimes he did, other times he didn’t.
“Mm, I don’t want any but Rook might.” Colson got the milk out of the fridge and the whipped cream. “I’ll get it out in case.” He smiled once Rook walked into the kitchen in a pair of sweatpants and the hotel diablo long sleeve shirt. “You could do with some sleep in a little bit” Colson directed the statement to both his daughter and Rook.
“I assume whipped cream means hot chocolate is being made, so yes” Rook plugged his phone into the charger before getting them three cups out of the cupboard. “More just cold than tired but you’re right.” He stole a quick kiss laughing when Cassie teased them.
“Always does” She responded to Rook, looking up when her dad’s boyfriend and drummer walked into the kitchen. “You wouldn’t be so cold if you had listened to my dad” Cassie pointed out as she was present when Colson suggested earlier that he put a hoodie on. She teased them as the two kissed and smiled when Rook laughed.
“Once we drink these it’s to bed for the both of you” Colson poured the hot chocolates into the cups after returning the kiss. “What she said, I told you to bring a hoodie but you don’t listen.” He grinned, pulling Rook into a side hug and kissing his head. “You think it was you that was the kid and not Cassie” Colson teased his boyfriend, laughing when it gained him a light jab between the ribs.
◯◯◯
Curling up on the couch with Colson after Cassie headed to bed, Rook and Colson had refilled their hot chocolate mugs, the two of them found Umbrella Academy on Netflix, deciding to watch a couple of episodes before they themselves turned in for the night. “No...you’d be a mix of Klaus and Diego, I don’t think you strictly match either of them” Rook spoke, lacing his fingers through Colson’s.
“Really?” Colson kissed Rook’s hand, pulling his boyfriend into a cuddle. “What makes you think that?” He took a sip from his hot chocolate.
“You’ve got the ego, which is mostly Diego and you do have a thing for knives” He started, relaxing into Colson’s arms as they cuddled. “But you can also be self deprecating and deflect from your problems often which is Klaus.” Rook pointed out drawing a hand along his cup.
Making a muffled sound in agreement, Colson grinned happily. “I do like me some knives” He hummed and sucked at his lip. “Okay maybe I am a bit like both of them” Colson caught the dig at his character as a person but knew his boyfriend was speaking truth. “I’d say you’re mostly like Ben though, level headed, logical and smart” He kissed Rook’s cheek and pulled him close.
◯◯◯
Colson woke up sometime in the middle of the night to find Rook asleep on top of him. “This boy’s a fuckin’ magnent” He mumbled. Running a hand through Rook’s hair he smiled when the drummer mumbled something in his sleep. At least he thought Rook was asleep.
“If you had a problem with it you would have moved me instead of having your fingers in my hair.” Rook shifted his head, burying it in Colson’s neck. “I can move if you want me to” He mumbled quietly, letting go of a content sigh when Colson’s fingers held his head.
“True, I could if I wanted to” He nipped the drummers ear when Rook nuzzled into him. “You’re fine where you are, baby” Colson cupped the man’s head and half moaned when Rook reacted by letting his hand settle at Colson’s neck. “But I could just as easily do this.” He moved a hand to Rook’s bum and slapped it lightly.
It initially caught Rook by surprise but he whined when Colson re cooperiated the teasing. “But you haven’t” He wiggled his hips and tightened his hand enough to make Colson’s head arch back. “Instead, I’m still right where I was.” Rook grinned when COlson’s eyes met his and the blonde’s tongue swiped across those pale pink lips. “With a hand around your neck.”
Colson met Rook’s gaze and instinctively knocked his head back when Rook’s hand put pressure on all the right spots even as little as his boyfriend’s hands were. “Using my own cards against me” He caught Rook’s shit eating grin and swiped his tongue along his lips. “What were you thinking about doing?” Colson gave the drummer a trying glare and wiggled his eyebrows, snaking his hand to the man’s waist.
Rook stole a kiss and whined into it when Colson nipped at his lip. “You aren’t exactly gentle with me sometimes” He sighed into the kiss when Colson’s hand cupped his waist. “Don’t really have a plan, just needy I guess.” Rook easily fell to Colson’s touch, forgetting about what exactly he’d planned to do.
Taking the opportunity, Colson took hold of the kiss and nipped Rook’s lip. “I can be sweet when I feel like it.” He gripped his boyfriend’s waist; shifting them both upward so Colson was sitting up and Rook was in his lap. “And you rarely have forethought to what you plan on doing” Colson connected his lips to Rook’s neck and growled when the drummer’s hips rolled downward. “Fuck”
“You can be, but I do love it when you aren’t so sweet” His breath shook when Colson kissed and nipped at his neck. “I do but you always distract me and I forget” Rook nearly whined when his boyfriend’s hand snuck up his thigh, Stopping mid way and Rook realized Colson was going to make this last.
Colson sucked a hickey inside of the Rook tattoo on his boyfriend’s neck and ran a hand up Rook’s thigh, letting his thumb graze along the soft skin. “The number of time’s we’ve been sassed by the guy’s because you aren’t the quietest” He loved hearing Rook’s moans and could fall to them anytime. “You love it when I have my way with you” Colson mumbled against Rook’s neck and moved to his shoulders, marking the drummer over.
His breath shook when Colson left Rook’s neck covered in hickeys. “They can shut up and live with it” Rook’s hips arched when Colson’s what moved up again, palming him slowly “Fuck, I don’t do quiet” He moaned under Colson’s charm and tangled a hand in Colson’s hair. “Every damn time” Rook’s other hand gripped Colson’s shoulder and he moaned again once Colson’s hand slipped into his (Rook’s) boxers.
“They’ll have to because I love hearing you moan” Colson tilted his head upwards into a kiss and tugged at Rook’s lip. “You’ll have to do a little bit though, at least tonight.” He drew out a kiss, drawing his thumb across Rook’s tip and slid his hand down his boyfriend’s dick. “At least as long as Cassie is around.” Colson shifted Rook slightly and cupped the back of the man’s neck.
Rook stifled a moan and shifted his knee forward. “Don’t tease then” He shivered when Colson’s stroke was methodical and almost too soft along his shaft. “Please Kells” he whined into a kiss needing something more than just his boyfriend’s hand. “Need more”
Colson drowned Rook’s moaning in the kisses and smiled. “Fuckin’ beautiful, baby” He pressed a kiss to Rook’s shoulder and ran his hand along Rook’s shaft. “Because you asked” Colson flicked his tongue across Rook’s lip and slipped his boyfriend’s boxers off. “If you keep mostly quiet.” Not yet deciding to let Rook have exactly what the drummer wanted, Colson leaned down and flicked his tongue over the tip and down the shaft.
His breath caught and his eyes lidded shut as Colson initially made it sound like he’d get what he wanted. “If it gets you to…” Rook fought back a moan when Colson’s lips wrapped around his shaft, his hand instantly locking in Colson’s hair. “...fuck”
He bobbed his head; moaning when Rook’s hips arched up. Colson breathed in through his nose and gripped the drummer's thigh taking his boyfriend's dick as he sucked. Looking up at Rook, Colson instinctively gagged when Rook carried some of the control, pusing Colson’s head forward. He grinned when Rook mumbled a broken I love you.
“Oh fuck, baby, I lo-ve you” Rook stuttered out a breath, whining when Colson looked up at him. “Jesus christ” He gripped Colson’s head and pushed the blonde’s head forward, cutting back a high moan when Colson gagged but took him further. “Mmm, oh fu-ck” Rook was close but still needed Colson to fuck him.
Coming up long enough to kiss Rook slowly, the taste of his boyfriend lingering on his lips as they kissed. “I know you do” Colson grinned, guiding his dick into Rook, moaning when Rook whined into a kiss. “Tight little body and a tight fuck” He moaned as Rook’s body arched, his dick taken by his boyfriend’s ass.
Rook tutted out a quiet moan and relaxed into the feel of Colson’s dick filling him. “Always need you” He whined, savouring the kiss, chasing it as he loved tasting himself on his boyfriend’s lips. “Go, need you, mm close” Rook mumbled out and sighed happily when Colson’s lips returned to his dick. His lips rolled up as Colson fucked into him.
“Always my needy little slut” Colson sighed in content as Rook chased the kiss, sucking at his lip once Colson pulled away. “Not coming without me saying” He wrapped his lips back around Rook’s dick as the drummer fucked himself on Colson’s dick. Colson moaned around Rook, his eyes watered as he took his boyfriend in and sucked at his dick.
◯◯◯Next morning.
Rook was buried under the blankets and had just barely been awake long enough to pull a shirt and boxers on when he heard Cassie and Colson both walk in. “Morning” He mumbled out, the scent of what he assumed was waffles and bacon followed.
Hearing his boyfriend awake, Colson grinned happily and laughed when Rook wiggled up the bed. “Caiss, put that stuff on the table and we’ll be over in a second.” He told his daughter and turned his attention back to Rook.
Cassie nodded, setting the tray down on the dresser and the plates on the table. She smiled, seeing her dad’s face light up when he looked at Rook.
“Good morning baby” Colson went over to the bed, stealing a gentle kiss. “Get some pants on and get up, Cassie wanted to make breakfast.”
“I was about to anyway” Rook got up and grabbed a pair of blue jeans out of the drawer. “Besides we have plans for today” He slipped his jeans on and did up his belt, he laughed when Colson picked him up carrying him to the table. “There best be coffee” Rook spoke and slipped into a chair once Colson put him feet first back on the floor.
