23 hours out of 24 I am anti-feudalism and anti-monarchy. That 1 hour is dedicated to smooth brained hype of the northern army going hard as fuck for Ned and his daughters

1 hour only. After that I go back to being a socialist with media literacy
#actually that hour might be split for Dorne as well#and them going ‘come and take it’ to the conquerors#i read#valyrianscrolls#asoiaf#when I have to dismantle the seven kingdoms and I have to kill Ned:

oh one of the saddest sentences I said and might haunt me forever was simply this
It's time to retire that dream.
#shouting into the void#oh the dream of being a journalist i lived and wanted since i was 16 and did that chief redactor of school magazine#the degree from grammar school from journalism#excelling each time#having the best thesis on tough theme and defended it like a pro#how i applied to uni and got accepted twice and never went#how i got chosen out of 380 people when the magazine was taking 40#and never wrote a thing#how i almost applied to prestigious media and backed away#i care#i write#i read#but i will never be journalist#and it's time to retire that dream for good#erase it from back of my mind#let it go#and one day here and there i will simply sigh of the dream i had#it's time to retire that dream.#it's time indeed and i am sorry for past 10 years me who thought of it#goodbye

How do you feel about people leaving comments/tags on your blog posts?
On my more personal posts it varies. Usually I try to make those unable to be reblogged but sometimes I forget. I can’t control people though so I’m never really too upset about it. I put it online anyway
On AMM posts or my art I LOVE them!! Obviously I don’t respond to every one but I do see them and love seeing how people react or what they have to say!
#I read#basically all the tags on any of my posts though#I see them all#I may not respond to all but I see them all#anonymous#ask

Sorry I gotta rant for a second.
I just finished reading a book and I hated it. The only reason I finished it was because someone close to me recommended it otherwise I would have put it down well before the halfway point.
It's so badly written and not at all what it's advertised as but the thing that is annoying me the most is all the good reviews I'm seeing on it?? Like I don't understand why there's so many good reviews when they can't even explain why they like it? And I'm all for people liking what they like but even if this book was advised as just a cute romance the characters are all so flat and it's so cringy and I don't get it and no one can explain why they like it but everyone who doesn't can clearly list exactly what it is they hate about it.

The neural connections within the brain give rise to the feeling of self, which we experience as consciousness. Humanity is not merely a "lump of meat" but rather possesses a self that feels, suffers, and finds joy. A central question is why humans suffer. In modern society, suffering has become a prominent issue. Suffering seems to be an inherent part of survival, as it prompts us to think, to act, and to strive for relief. Although unpleasant, it appears to serve a purpose.
A person can indeed "die of a broken heart," a notion that now seems more than just myth or folklore. The body and mind are interconnected, meaning that mental struggles can manifest physically, and physical problems can impact the mind. To achieve internal balance, one must seek tranquility in both body and mind, a harmony that often feels elusive.
Ultimately, humans are composed of a physical body, with the brain—a complex organ formed over millions of years of evolution—generating the feeling of self. The brain, akin to a supercomputer, holds mysteries we are still uncovering.
To alleviate suffering and find solutions to our problems, I recommend writing down your thoughts, examining them critically, and working towards rational solutions. Thoughts arise because we have brains.
1994_Descartes’ Error: Emotion, Reason, and the Human Brain by Antonio Damasio

I've Raised my Hands against the Evil Spirits
Maria Nephele: I've raised my hands directly against the black mountains and the evil spirits of this world. I've asked love 'why' and rolled her on the floor. Wars occurred and recurred, and not even a rag was left to hide deep within our things and forget it. Who listens? Who ever listened? Judges, priests, gendarmes, which is your country? [ . . . ] Antiphonist: I've raised my hand directly against the unexorcised evil spirits of the world, and from the sickly place I returned to the sun and the light self-exiled! Maria Nephele: And from the many tempests I returned among the people self-exiled!
from Maria Nephele, Odysseus Elytis (A. Anagnostopoulos transl. 1981)
