Just a thought... What do you think Dick would feel if he realized that many people think of him as the "angry Robin"?

The child who, even in his grief, after losing everything... Tried to become light, hope. The one who accompanied Batman, who was scary, giving comfort... Reduced to an image of a child with murderous desires, when that wasn't even true.

I feel it bears repeating because a lot of folk are quick to assume fan content is immediately fanon:

It cannot be overstated how possessive Slade is over being Dick’s supervillain in the comics. Like some people may think your prompts are extrapolating a little, but they are not — at least in terms of the underlying toxic obsession between these guys.

The sheer number of times Slade reiterates how nominal every other hero is compared to Dick is insane. Slade explicitly does not care if his opponent is not Dick.

And even when Dick bests him in combat…

…he will not allow even his allies to finish Dick off, because Dick is his. Even if it costs him victory.

The amount of simultaneous respect and revulsion in their dynamic is frankly incomparable, to other hero/villain duos in comics.

They are literally both so insane about each other and I love them for it. Slade is so obsessed, it’s embarrassing.

“No, no, Hyena, this is MY arch nemesis. Leave him be.” He’s such a dramatic asshole I love him.

This series specifically was so excellent for Dick & Slade, I love it to pieces. I have a couple of the fancy cover variants and ngl I’m so tempted to send them in to get graded but I’m scared of them getting lost or damaged in the mail lol

So anyway that idea I posted earlier with Dick being left totally alone and Bruce thinking his friends are gonna take care of him while he’s on Rimbor and Slade grooming a lonely stressed out 15 year old Dick? There does seem to be a lack of understanding of what actually like... happened in the transfusion in Bloodborne. Dick didn't just give half his blood supply to Bruce, if that was the case they wouldn't have been talking about him being exposed to the virus and would instead be talking about how that's losing too much blood. What he did was circulate both of their blood between them, so that for a minute there they were essentially just one giant circulatory system between two bodies.

And this is why if Dick is type O-, Bruce would also have to be O-. While any type can receive O-, O- can only receive O-. If Bruce was any type other than O-, receiving Bruce's blood could just as easily have killed Dick.
