A few days before my birthday, I had ordered this game called Sims Life Stories off Ebay and I've been playing it since it arrived on my birthday. It was actually the game that got me into the Sims franchise cause back during the Sims 2 era, they used to make these cool little side games for the series that centered around a specific family and had plotlines you had to follow?? So when I was a kid my dad had gotten a trial version of this game in the mail, and I LOVED IT, but I never got to experience the full storyline cause it was just a trial. Now that I've got my own money I'm playing the full game 😎 The character is named Riley and you basically help her get oriented after moving to a new city to live w her aunt. There's lots of drama and love triangles and rivlries and idk it just been so much fun reliving these old sims 2 memories. The game was soooo much richer back then

As for my main sims game, I have this family in the sims 4 where I'm on theirrr 3rd generation rn? 🤔 These hoes are messy tho so like the story started out with the original mom having toddler triplets with an unknown baby daddy, and she moved to a new apartment to start fresh. Across form her there was a cute young couple and she REALLY started liking the neighbor girl's boyfriend? Husband? Idk. So she ended up seducing him and she got pregnant with his twins and kinda ended up wrecking their marriage 😅 AND THEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE EX WAS PREGNANT TOO and I just felt so bad. But whatever.

So they got married, they had 5 kids, the mom started working in like a PR agent track and she got super famous. I forgot what the dad does but he got super famous, too. One of their daughters got famous as a teenager cause she was a musical prodigy as a kid and she started writing music as a teen, so now shes a celebrity musician.

Growing up, her triplet brother was her best friend in the whole world. The only other person she was as close to was a neighbor boy in the apartment complex down the street from her, and the three of them all became super great friends from childhood. As teenagers, she had started dating the neighbor boy and basically as soon as they turned into adults she got pregnant (with triplets. again.) and they got married.

Well. Her husband started staying out super late and acting really suspicious, and she was starting to feel super sad and anxious about it, so she went to her brother's house to vent to him and lean on him for comfort and support. And guess what she found as soon as she walked into the house.

Her husband—the love of her life, the father of her 3 kids—and her brother—her best friend in the whole world, her one true confidant—were there, making out on the couch RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER 🤨🤨🤨

So she beat her brother's ass and divorced her husband on the spot and now she doesn't talk to either of them. She's doing good now tho, she found an artist dude who she married and had kids with. I'm actually in the middle of building them a new home but eugh...I hate building...

Anyways now I'm focusing on tending to her kids and priming one of them to be my new main character once she ages up to young adulthood. She's gonna be a lesbian who meets her future wife in college 🥹🥹 and they're gonna have a cute little farm together.

So yeah! That's all the games that I'm actively playing rn. I could tell you about my other long, crazy generational one that I stopped, but we'd be here forever if I did :P

ahhh clangen update!!! i love it!!!

although i know there is a way to get saves from other versions onto new versions, i will not be putting prairieclan into the new ver because the way i play them is very dependent on the game being sparse. while i love all the new interactions and stuff, it would totally ruin all the character development i have going on

all that to say i'm playing a new clan called peakclan and i adore them

honestly i get a lot of cool names. my favorite was chaffinchkit but he got fucking taken by an eagle so. also that was after surviving one eagle already. he survived that only to be eaten the very next moon. rip chaffinchkit

something cool i found out was that when you get a new leader, the leader ceremony uses cats from your clan's starclan!! so like you get to see former clan members in the ceremony!!! it's so awesome!!

another thing i'm loving is the death. first of all cats are dying and getting sick more often which i love. but also when a cat dies, there are soooo many different ways for their loved ones to grieve. some fall into depression. some move on quickly. some overwork themselves. some seek comfort from others. it's all so different and i think that's such an awesome touch. it's the same way with giving birth. some are very excited, some are scared, some are happy, some are relieved, etc, etc. i love it a lot

and finally to some of my personal cats in this. my main issue is with a very weird love triangle happening.

i said that same sex couples would be allowed to have bio kits together bc i wanted to. so dewfish and peatflame, two she cats, had kits together. very interesting but they were never mates. they just had kits together. twice. dewfish carried them both times. but then peatflame and oakwhisper become mates. oakwhisper is a trans male. peatflame gets pregnant from oakwhisper twice.

so trying to justify this in my head isn't working lmao. i haven't figured out the right combo of who's trans and who's not to make this truly plausible.

not that i care, i just think the situation is funny.

now, one of the dew/peat kits is jaycoral. her mate is mouseheart, they are adorable together. the second litter of dew/peat kits consists of softkite and rotheart. mouse/jay already had a litter, skipheart and hailclaw. then rotheart got captured by twolegs and is considered missing. he isn't in starclan as far as i saw, he's just listed as lost. so idk if he can ever come back or not. lots of cats miss him and think about him all the time. and something adorable just happened. jay/mouse had a second litter of kits. boragekit, tipkit... and rotkit. and he looks exactly like rotheart!!! it's like jaycoral saw her kitten look exactly like her lost little brother and just had to name him the same way. it's so freaking adorable.

My most recent sims session consists of my triangle ocs moving forward with their lives in an alternate universe where they have kids and start a family and move out of their apartment and into their dream home.

I used wicked whims pregnancy/menstrual cycle system to determine when Carmen can have kids which is kind of tricky because she has a very small window of time where she can get peegnant

Here’s the rundown of their lives so far:

Before the babymaking can begin I made Carmen and Edward get married. I was hoping Carmen could keep her last name and pass it on to the kiddos but the MCCC mod forced her to take Edward’s last name even after editing it in CAS and I was too lazy to figure out how to change it

On their honeymoon, which consisted of all three members of the triad going to mt komorebi, Carmen stopped her birth control and had nonstop threesomes with her husband and their boyfriend.

The goal was to make it so we wouldn’t know who the father of the first child was until they were born. However I was unaware of the WW menstrual system at this time and that there was literally a 0% chance of Carmen getting pregnant during the entire honeymoon. So the endless creampies were for nothing (except her pleasure I guess)

The triangles arrived home and I moved them into a small family home in the neighborhood that came with growing together (I forgot what it’s called). Here Edward was the main provider for the family, selling his art online. Carmen also made some money with her small business and from writing books, and Neah took up gardening and spellcasting.

Finally Carmen was able to get pregnant. When the baby was born it was apparent who the father was, as she was born with bright yellow eyes. Carmen named her Rena, after her older brother Renaldo.

The triangles had earned a ton of simoleons both through Edward’s art and Carmen’s book royalties. So i decided to build them their dream home at the horse ranch town. This is where things got stupid. Apparently, one of my mods had corrupted while building this home. The game file was still safe, but every lot I built since the mod broke became broken and unloadable. I spent all that fucking time building this amazing home, and I can’t even play it.

I made a second attempt to build the same house on the same plot of land, this time after updating my mods. But the land was already broken, so after hours of building again, I still wasn’t able to load it. It was an immense waste of time.

I tried one last time to salvage it, to no avail. I saved the lot to my library and moved it to a different plot of land. All that did was break that land too, rendering it unloadable. I decided to abandon that house altogether and build a new one, which actually works.

Somehow in the midst of all that, Carmen still managed to have three more kids. The second child was Edward’s, who they named Alexis after Carmen’s twin brother, Alexio. The third child was also Edward’s, another girl named Willow, after Neah’s middle name William. And their final child was Neah’s, a boy named Daniel named after Edward’s younger sister, Daniela.

The triangles are close to middle aged adulthood now, but they had a good young adulthood. Rena is a child now, a total tomboy who takes after her father and is an aspiring spellcaster too. Alexis is an absolute sweetheart, her birthday is coming up soon. Willow and Daniel are quite close in age, and it’s still too early to tell what their personalities will be. But they are quite the handful.

I can’t wait till the rest of them age up to children. By then the triangles will be in the adult life stage, well past their prime, but at least the four kids will be able to help around the house.

So there’s certain classic families that appear in each iteration when they do a new Sims, one of which is the Pleasant family. It’s supposed to be ironic - they’re called Pleasant and they have a lot of problems. In Sims 2 Daniel Pleasant was having an affair with their maid, and his wife was pre-engineered to come home from work early and catch him. Their girls are a good twin/bad twin dynamic with names to match, Angela and Lilith.

So Maxis made an official recreation of this Sims 2 family that can be added to your Sims 4 neighbourhood from their gallery. I didn’t really want to play them so I just put them in a house to run around in the background and see if anything emerged out of it. This is what Maxis sets the twins’ traits as:

Angela’s are Foodie and Neat, two generically nice traits for an easy sim. She likes food, and keeping things clean. Lilith’s are Loner and Kleptomaniac, meaning she’s anti-social and likes to steal, obviously setting her up as a delinquent. Teens only have 2 of their 3 traits, they get the 3rd when reaching young adulthood. Also, another version of these twins exists in an expansion pack and assigns them there the canonical traits of Good for Angela and Slob for Lilith.

Now, I like progressing the families that ship with the games. I also generally like to subvert the intention for them. (There’s a household with a blurb that tries to nudge you into a love triangle with friends Summer and Liberty both wanting their roommate Travis. Instead I put Summer and Liberty together and got Travis alien pregnant). So, I figured if I were to do anything with the Pleasants I don’t care much about the parents, Angela is boring, but I want Lilith, the one they’ve Decided is a misfit, to ultimately get that successful happy life.

So when dooping around with the families from the magic & wizards pack, the Charm family has a teen called Gemma who I wanted to pair up with someone. Right away Lilith seemed like a good idea. How fitting is it that the black sheep goth twin of a perfect facade suburban family run off with a literal gothic witch?

Once they’d both aged up to young adults I introduced them and got a romance going. But then I realised - I let the Pleasant twins age up automatically. The game has assigned them their last trait - at random. So I had to go check what they’d ended up with.

Lilith was given Goofball. I love that. She might not be very social but there’s no reason she can’t have a robust sense of humour with her close friends. And Angela?

Angela was assigned EVIL

If possible, i would also like to ask about your thoughts on the side characters in the game, especially the two love triangles Ellie and Abby are in. I can’t seem to understand the point of these love triangles nor of what the point of each character is supposed to be e.g Jessie and Mel.

Personally, it’s the only blemish in an otherwise good story.

When it comes to the 2 love triangles, there are several reasons why they were included in the story.

Let's start with the main thesis of my previous meta: Abby's arc is about embracing the future (finding faith), while Ellie's about dinsing closure with the past (forgiving). The 2 love triangles plays into this in opposite ways.

Mel and Owen embody Abby's past. Specifically, they represent 2 sides of her father that she leaves behind in her quest for revenge. Mel is a doctor, while Owen's faith in the fireflies is still burning. Abby ruins her relationship with both because of her inability to let go of her hate. It is implied she and Owen break up because of her obsession with pursuing revenge. At the same time, them clearly still having feelings for each other creates friction with Mel. In general, both Mel and Owen are shocked by Abby's actions towards Joel. The deterioration of Abby's bond with Mel and Owen mirrors her losing sight of who her father really was. A doctor and a firefly. In order to grow, Abby needs to find in herself compassion and idealism once again. She does so through Lev and Yara, but Owen and Mel still play a role in this as well. Mel saves Yara's life, which gives Abby closure. Owen instead shows Abby the way to go by sharing with her the Fireflies' rumor. Despite this, the past is the past. Abby needs to accept this if she wants to embrace the future. This is why she is not able to save her relationship with Owen and Mel. She is not even able to save them, for that matter. They are gone, just like Jerry. Still, her father's ideals can still live through Abby herself.

Dina and Jessie represent instead Ellie's possible future. They are Ellie's new friends and they give Ellie JJ, a child, aka the future. At the same time, they are the 2 people that in different ways try to bring Ellie back home. Dina does so physically, while Jessie tries to do so rationally/morally. Dina is ill and pregnant and the right thing should be to go back home the moment Ellie realizes this. By the third day, the whole group has in fact decided to go back specifically because of Dina's condition. Jessie instead openly calls Ellie out on her actions and tries to convince her to prioritize everyone's safety over revenge. He goes looking for Tommy and brings him back with the group. Similarly, he insists they should leave for Dina (and his own child)'s sake. However, Ellie can't really embrace the future Dina and Jessie represent (JJ and the life in the farm with Dina) because she still has not found peace with the past. This is why in the end she loses her relationship with both. Jessie symbolically dies as a result of Ellie progressively losing her moral compass. Ellie instead leaves Dina (the future) to go look for Abby (the past).

In short, both girls lose their love interest and friend because of their own quest for revenge. At the same time, the romantic subplots are also used to drive home each girl's development. Specifically, they show Abby's progress and Ellie's regression.

Owen and Mel are nothing, but Ellie's Dina divided in 2. Owen is Abby's love interest, while Mel is pregnant. Dina is both for Ellie. This is why Ellie killing them is so shocking... it is as if she is symbolically killing Dina, in a sense. At the same time, in the climax of the Seattle section, Abby is given the chance to kill Dina. If she did, she would have killed Ellie's Owen and Mel. However, she chooses not to and this leads to her breaking the cycle of revenge with Ellie on her side. Just like in the end Ellie will break it once and for all by letting Abby and Lev (Joel and herself go).

In short, the love triangles play into Ellie and Abby's mirror journeys and are used to challenge the player's empathy on multiple levels. Storywise they are also important for the girls' development because they represent opposite and yet incredibly similar things for Ellie and Abby.

Suzie, who was Bombalurina in the 2017 and 2020 Asia tours, didn't join the 2022 Taiwan leg of the tour on account of being eight months pregnant at the time when the others were flying into Taipei.

Hey, @theoriginalcarnivorousmuffin sent me to you for some spicy opinions. Have you read the hunger games? Do you have any headcanons? Any thoughts on main characters that is different from the way the author meant to portray? I really enjoyed your thoughts on Twilight and I’ll admit I disliked Twilight but not because of the characters being too flat and boring (I don’t agree with that) but just because of the writing style and the framing of the relationships. It really annoyed me. But your headcanons made me realize that there were some hidden gems in there. So thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I like that my life has gotten to a point where I’m the Muffin’s referral point for spicy opinions. And I’m very glad you enjoy my Twilight metas!

When it comes to my spicy hunger games opinions, I don’t actually know how spicy they are. They’re definitely very spicy considering what Hollywood tried to do, but I think I’m actually pretty much in tune with Susanne Collins. Tumblr certainly agrees with me, which is very rare but quite nice. The Muffin and I don’t actually want to have spicy opinions, it’s just that we’ll say shit like “Luke’s not a real jedi” and expect it to be obvious but nope, turns out the entire Star Wars fandom begs to differ. So, I think I agree with Collins on what she wrote, which is great, but I honestly can’t tell anymore what the authors want me to think so who knows.

So, first of, there is no love triangle in those books. And I’m not simply saying that the love triangle wasn’t the focus of the books, I’m saying that the love triangle did not exist.

Katniss and Gale were close friends and if it hadn’t been for the hunger games then yeah, they would probably have ended up together. However, the hunger games happened, and Katniss was a very changed person after that. Gale was still the same, and more, he did not get it, at all. He didn’t understand the person Katniss had become and wanted the old one back. They continued to hang out because they’d grown up together, but at this point it was only the memory of their old friendship holding them together and not the real thing.

Then we get into the third book, in which Gale grows enamored with weaponry and the quest for revenge against the Capitol, proudly displaying to Katniss his sadistic device that’ll later kill Prim. Katniss is horrified, and as usual Gale doesn’t get it. Their relationship with violence are polar opposites: Katniss has been forced to kill to protect herself, Gale takes pride in designing devices that’ll kill as many civilians as possible.

On to Katniss. The first big mistake Hollywood made with her was casting Jennifer Lawrence. Katniss of the books is an impoverished and starving child. Lawrence has the wrong body type for that, and more, she has the completely wrong presence. It’s like casting Timothee Chalamet for Thor. 

Then we have Katniss herself.

Katniss, as I see her, is not a hero at all, and she’s not supposed to be. A hero is too positive a word, as heroes get to choose their own destiny. St. George chooses to go slay the dragon. Katniss is thrown into an arena and told to kill children. She has nobility, grace, and kindness, she is indubitably brave and selfless. It’s not her character I’m questioning. But to call her a hero is to play into the narrative that there’s anything glorious or inspiring about her story, and there isn’t. She’s a traumatized child who’s propped up by powerful people to be a symbol. At first it’s the Capitol making her and Peeta star-crossed lovers, and then we have the resistance making her their rallying point. Katniss has no control over any of this. The hunger games is not the inspiring story of a girl who rallies the forces of good against the evil empire, but rather the story of a child who is grossly taken advantage of by both sides.

Then there’s the fact that even before the Capitol happened, Katniss had been forced to grow up too early. Her mother failed to be a mother, and so Katniss became the family caretaker, raising Prim like a daughter rather than a sister and keeping the family alive. Her childhood died with her father, and it is an unusually jaded and sad child who enters that arena. This doesn’t make her better suited for what she endures over the course of the trilogy, but less. Katniss has had no one to rely on, comes to rely too much on Peeta, which in turn makes her crumble like a house of cards when she loses him.

Going slightly back to the love triangle debacle, Katniss ends up with Peeta not so much because they’re the star-crossed lovers the Capitol wanted, but because after the arena Katniss is really only able to connect with people who know exactly what it’s like. Peeta, Finnick, Haymitch - these three all become deeply precious to her, there is a bond forged between victors because no one else can ever truly understand. Peeta/Katniss wouldn’t have happened in a timeline where they weren’t reaped, but they were, and now they’re each other’s only real option.

Not to mention that as victors they’ll live lives the rest of their district can’t really relate to. They have nice houses and a pension, which is alienating enough, but they’ll also be forever entangled with the Capitol, either as prostitutes, mentors, or both. Gale likes Katniss, but he could never have a wife like that.

By the end of the trilogy, Katniss is a traumatized mess of a girl, and so is Peeta. They choose to have kids anyway, something I have mixed feelings about. I see what Collins wanted with that. Katniss makes it clear early on in the series that she never wanted children, because those kids might get reaped. And, to my recollection, it was also that she just thought the world was a too cruel place. The fact that she still chooses to have kids can only be seen as a sign of healing, that Katniss now feels safe enough in this world to bring others into it.  Which is nice. Except I think that losing Prim is what made the real difference to Katniss. Prim was her daughter, and having children is the closest she’ll get to getting Prim back. I’m also slightly worried Peeta will one day snap and strangle them. There’s also the fact that I really don’t think Katniss and Peeta are parent material by the time those books are through. It’s bad enough that Katniss had to be her mother’s therapy animal, she shouldn’t repeat the cycle. But maybe I should have more faith in Katniss. And damnit, I want to be happy for her. In other words, I have mixed feelings on those kids. This all being said, I’ve heard people think it’s out of character for Katniss to have kids, and I disagree with that. I think it’s a very Katniss thing to do. The question is whether becoming a mother was a good decision.

(Since your ask pretty much put a coin in the ramble box, I’ll ramble some more: the whole “children are healing” thing in the epilogue happens through Annie Cresta as well. The girl is more traumatized than anybody after her hunger games, and codependent with her lover, Finnick Odair. Finnick dies tragically, luckily it turns out Annie was pregnant so now she gets a baby too. I question her ability to raise a child on her own, but the fact that both Katniss and Annie get to have kids points to those children symbolizing healing and happiness.)

It had been almost a month since Bucky had last seen Y/N. Tony and Steve thought it was best for Y/N to be admitted to the psychiatric ward at the near by hospital. But you have been gone a month. And you didn't put Bucky down on the approved list of people that could come visit you. The only thing he had left of you was the last conversation you guys had, and it was slowly driving him insane.

"Bucky? Where are they taking me? I don't wanna go." You were still loopy from the anesthesia Banner had used during your surgery. The way you were talking to him made it seem like you had just forgotten everything that had happened over the last 3 months.

"Shh, it's okay." Bucky said softly. Talking still hurt his throat. "But you gotta. You gotta get better, okay?" You nodded and sniffled. "Don't cry doll. It's all gonna be okay." He tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear, like he always did when you were upset.

"What happened to your face?" You muttered, your fingers grazing across the cut on his cheek bone. Bucky flinched at your touch, not wanting to remember how it felt.

"Don't worry, doll. Just get some rest. I'll see you soon." Bucky stood up from beside the cot and nodded at the paramedics who were standing close by to take you to the hospital.

"Bucky?" You asked quietly.

"Yeah, doll?" He could feel the hot tears in his eyes getting ready to spill over.

"I love you."

"Bucky," Sam tapped his shoulder. "Are you listening?"

"Sorry." He mumbled. "Just thinking." He rested his elbows on his knees and leaned forward, wringing his hands together.

"I asked how you were doing?" Sam repeated.

"I'm fine."

"Don't do that Buck." He scoffed, slumping into his chair. "You gotta talk about this shit, man. And I know you normally talk to Steve but-"

"Sam, don't."

"Bucky-"

"I don't need your fucking pity.” Bucky growled, getting to his feet. Sam stared into his eyes with exactly what Bucky was upset about; pity.

"I am trying, damnit." Sam seethed through his teeth. "I am trying to hold you together and I am trying to hold Steve together. I hate being the middle man but if you two want to act like you're in high school and give each other the silent treatment, then I'll do it. I don't like seeing my friends hurting." He sighed and rubbed his temples. "You are very clearing showing signs of PTSD, and if you just let me help you, I can try to make it better."

"Everyone hates me, Sam." Bucky changed the subject.

"No, they don't. They're worried about you." Sam tossed his arms up in the air, exasperated. "You and Steve lost so much in one night, they're scared for you. They are mourning with you, Bucky. Please understand that."

Bucky scoffed and rolled his eyes. "I gotta go, this was pointless."

"Bucky-" He didn't hear what else Sam had to say before he shut the door to his office behind him and stormed down the hallway. He scoffed and shook his head. Fucking therapy. Tony had forced him to go or else he was sending him some place like Y/N was. He didn't need it anybody’s help, he was fine.

Bucky had wondered around the compound for hours after been you’d taken away, unsure of where he was going. This place felt so empty without Y/N here. He felt so empty. He found himself standing outside Steve's room after walking for hours. The sun was starting to rise now. His arm jerked as if he wanted to knock on the door, but he couldn't do it.

Then why did he knock?

Steve opened the door and was standing in front of him, eyes red from crying. His hair a mess. He definitely didn't look like the calm and collected Captain America.

"What the fuck do you want?" He spat, glaring down at his best friend.

"I-" Bucky was at a loss for words. "I don't know."

Steve laughed bitterly. "Get the fuck out of my face before I knock your teeth out."

"Steve, please-" Bucky's voice broke. "I need-I need you. Please."

"You need me?" Steve hissed. "What about what I need, huh? Does how I feel just not matter to you?”

“I’m sorry.” He whispered, staring down at his feet. He couldn’t look Steve in the eyes any longer.

“You were fucking her.” Steve laughed, almost as it was a joke. “You were fucking my girl. You got my girl pregnant, and she tried to kill herself. Because of you, Bucky. So get out of my face. I don’t care what you have to say.”

"You're the only one-" Bucky tried desperately. He needed to talk. And Steve was the only one who understood.

"Save it, I don't wanna hear it. You ever show up at my door again," He took a deep breath, his eyes falling on the bruising cut that was on his cheek. "I won't stop this time." Steve slammed the door in Bucky's face.

Bucky was standing in front of Y/N's room. The door had long opened and an empty room was staring back. After you had left, Pepper and Nat had cleaned your room up the best that they could. While cleaning they had found an ultrasound picture hidden away in your nightstand. Nat said she wanted to throw it out but Pepper stole it from her and brought it to Bucky one evening. Bucky didn't know what to do with it so he brought it back to your room, stashing it away where you had kept it. He didn't want to take anything out of your room for when you came back. He wanted it to look like how you had left it. Well- before you destroyed it anyway.

Bucky slowly sat down on the edge of the bed, the springs groaning at the sudden weight on it. No one had sat here in a long time. Bucky heaved a sigh and hung his head, his long hair made a curtain around his face. You were always telling him to cut it.

A frown crept onto his lips, silently cursing himself. You teasing him about his hair is was started this whole thing. It was 4 months ago, you guys had most of the compound to yourself and were passing the time playing a drinking game.

He still remembers the smile on your face when you had brought up his hair, thinking it was hilarious how it was so long. Your laugh was more intoxicating than the alcohol the two of you were consuming. He just couldn't stop staring at you, your beautiful eyes, your hair that smelled like lavender, your gorgeous smile. And every time you leaned over it would expose your cleavage from the top of the thin tank top you had on. By the time you were done giggling Bucky had leaned in and grabbed your face, pressing his lips firmly against yours. You were stunned at first but quickly gave into his advances, as you had been waiting for this moment too.

A noise outside the room made Bucky snap back to reality.

"Thought I would find you here." A soft voice whispered. It was Nat. She gave him a soft smile before sitting down on the edge of the bed beside him. "It okay if I sit?" Bucky shrugged his shoulders and nodded. "Sam said you're having a bad day."

"Sam doesn't know shit."

"I know some days are tougher than others. You seemed to be doing okay last week. Actually saw you smile." She laughed quietly. Bucky didn't say anything. "She's not dead, Bucky."

"Why the fuck-"

"Shut up and listen." Any hint of kindness in her voice was gone. "I'm not like Sam, I'm not gonna coddle you. She is alive and is doing better, I just came from the hospital."

"We'll I'm glad you got to see her." He scoffed.

"I know you're not gonna hear what I have to say, but just listen to this- you are not alone, Bucky. Okay? I know none of that matters because you don't have the people you love most around you. But the rest of us are you for you, and Steve. Okay?" Bucky opened his mouth to snap something back but Nat held up her hand. "Just tell me you understand, okay? Because if I have to clean up one more persons blood off the floor I am going to loose my mind."

Bucky sighed and nodded his head. "Okay. I understand." Nat patted him on the shoulder before standing up and left the room. A tear dribbled down his cheek and he quickly whipped it away. Why couldn’t everyone just leave him alone?

Absolutely exhausted, he kicked his shoes off and laid down, not wanting to pick himself up and walk back to his room. Everything just felt too heavy. His eyes slowly fluttered shut, no matter how hard Bucky fought against it. But it was just too heavy.

"Hey, I need to talk to you." Banner said quietly, standing in Bucky's door way.

"What?" Bucky grumbled from his spot on the bed. "If it's about checking my head, I don't want to hear it. I'm fine, he didn’t hit me that hard.”

"No, it's not that. I need to know-"

"Then what?"

"I need to know what you want to do with the fetus...the baby." He shifted his weight back and forth.

A heavy silence surrounded the two of them. "Why me?" Bucky croaked out finally.

"Well, you're the father and-"

"Don't. Don't call me that." Bucky pointed a stern finger at him Bruce stood there awkwardly, waiting for Bucky to tell him what to do. He blinked back a few tears and cleared his throat. "What do you think I should do?"

"Well, everyone else thinks you should bury him."

Him. It was a boy. Bucky was going to have a son. His son. Y/N's son. Our son.

"Then bury him."

"I think you should go."

"I don't want to."

"Bucky, please. You need to cope."

"Oh yeah, and how should I do that, doctor?" Bucky snapped back. Bruce sighed, defeated. "Go fucking burry the thing and get over it. I don't want to be there, got it?" Why was he saying this? That's not what he wanted to say.

"Okay. Sorry for bothering you." Banner exited his room in a defeated sigh, his shoulder hunched over.

Some more time ticked by before there was another knock on the door. Bucky jumped slightly as he just starting to fall asleep. He hadn't slept in about two days and it was starting to take a toll on him. The evening sun cast shadows that danced around in his dark room.

"Bruce I swear-" He opened the door and stepped back, surprised. It was Pepper. She smiled shyly at him. Bucky thinks she hasn't said more than 10 words with him since he came to live at the compound a year ago. Mostly just awkward good mornings when they came into the kitchen at the same time to get coffee. Pepper always got up early but Bucky was fed up of trying to fall asleep.

"Oh. Did...did you need something?" He asked looking down at her. Pepper wasn't as hard as everyone else at the compound, she hasn’t seen the things everyone else had. He had barely spoken to her and there were already tears forming in her eyes.

"Nat-" She cleared her throat and attempted to wipe the tears away from her eyes. "Nat and I were cleaning up Y/N's room, so it won't be a mess when she comes back. And we'll we found this." She held out some grainy pictures. Bucky wasn't sure what he was looking at.

"What are these?" He muttered, taking them from her.

"They're ultrasound pictures. I guess she knew..." She cleared her throat again, fighting back the urge to cry. "Sorry. I guess she knew about the pregnancy. Nat wanted to throw them out but I thought you should have them."

Bucky didn't know what to say. He didn't want to open his mouth and rip Peppers head off, because he knew that she was just trying to be nice. Trying to make him feel better, but honestly it was just making him feel worse. If you knew you were pregnant why did you try to kill yourself? Or is that why you tried to kill yourself?

Before he could think of what to say, a sob ripped through his chest, his knees giving out under him. Pepper moved quickly to his side and threw her small body against Bucky's, wrapping him up in a hug. She tried to hold him up the best she could, but they crumpled to the ground together.

"I'm so sorry, Bucky." She cried. Her hands grabbed the back of his shirt, like she was trying to keep him from falling apart. It wasn’t working. It felt like someone was chiseling away at his heart. He clutched the ultrasound pictures to his chest, another sob wracking through his body. He wanted Y/N. He wanted you here with him, mourning the loss of your child together. "I'm so sorry." Pepper repeated. Bucky gently pushed her away and tried to calm himself down.

"Thank you for these, Pepper." He babbled. "But I need to be alone. Please leave me alone." She shook her head at what he was saying and tried to protest. He held up his hand to stop her. “Go. Just go.” He pleaded. Finally, she left him there, sitting in the door way, holding the only pictures of his son that he would ever get.

Bucky woke up with a gasp, his clothes were soaked and sticking to his skin from his sweat and it felt like his heart was going to explode out of his chest, his stomach churning in knots. He scrambled out your bed and into the bathroom and vomited into the toilet. These fucking dreams would not leave him alone. Ever since you left that's all he was able to dream about.

He spilled his guts out a few more times before slumped down beside the toilet, he shoved his head in hands and took a few deep breathes, trying to ease his spinning head. He gagged at the taste of vomit in his mouth and spit into the toilet again. Standing up shakily, he looked at himself in the mirror that was above the sink. He hated the person looking back. He looked sick, disgusting.

Saying Bucky looked rough was an understatement. His eyes were sunken in, which were accompanied by dark bags. His hair was ratty and dull and he hadn't trimmed his beard in weeks. He had also lost weight and muscle mass from not being able to eat. He couldn't. The only thing he was able to keep down was chicken broth and he hardly even eat that. He had no desire to work out either. His metal arm, which he usually polished at least once a week was dull too. And covered in scratches from him clawing at it in the middle of the night.

Bucky sighed heavily and rinsed his mouth and face with water. Patting his face dry with a towel he realized for the first time, he was starving. He could smell someone cooking bacon down in the kitchen and it made his mouth water.

Maybe Sam was right, Bucky did need to talk about this. Or maybe Steve was the one who was right. This was all his fault. He made the first move on you. The baby was his. Everything was his fault. Maybe if he had just left you alone, none of this would have happened. He couldn’t think straight anymore, nothing made sense without you here.

He pushed his thoughts out of his head as he remade your bed. Picking up his boots from off the ground, he slowly made his way back to his room. It was a hot mess inside, more than normal. Bucky doesn't remember the last time he picked anything up. He discarded his sticky clothes and got into the shower, letting the hot water fall over his skin. He hummed contently as he washed his hair, yanking to get the knots out. While he was in there he trimmed his beard the best he could without looking in a mirror.

Getting out and rubbed the steam off the mirror and looked at himself again. His beard and his hair looked better, but his eyes still looked empty. He still felt empty. Bucky tossed on some clothes that smelled the cleanest, which happened just an old pair of sweats and a t-shirt.

Taking a deep breath he left his room, or his cave, as Sam called it, and went down to the kitchen. It seemed like everyone was there, talking and laughing together. Bucky felt an instant nauseous feeling build in his stomach as eyes fell on him. He felt like an outsider, no, he was an outsider. Always has been as always will be

"Hey, Buck." Sam greeted, pulling Bucky out of his thoughts. "There's coffee in the pot if you want some." Bucky gave him a small smile and poured himself a cup, and grabbed a few pieces of bacon and fruit that was cut up. He sat down beside Sam and cleared this throat. Sam looked down at the small amount of food that Bucky had gathered and frowned slightly, but refrained from saying anything. He should be glad he was eating at all.

"Where's Steve at this morning?" Bucky asked, taking a sip of coffee, which stung going down his throat.

"Oh, he went to visit Y/N." Sam replied nonchalantly.

"Hm." Bucky stared down at his food, which suddenly repulsed him. Maybe this was a mistake, he should have stay in his room. Sam silently cursed himself for bring you up and tried to change the conversation.

"Sleep any better last night?" Sam questioned.

"A little. Fell asleep about an hour after we got done talking." He shrugged. “Woke up a little bit ago.”

"So you slept for 14 hours?" Sam chuckled. "We got done talking at 5, so you were out for 14 hours. I'd call that pretty good sleep."

"Doesn't mean it was restful."

"It's still a good thing that you slept through the night." Sam took a bite out of his bacon. "Oh my god, I swear Vision makes the best food." He goaded. Sam was obviously trying to get Bucky to eat.

"I know." Bucky faked a smile as he couldn't shake the feeling that he was going to get sick again. The feeling suddenly got overwhelming and he suddenly stood to his feet, his chair scrapping loudly against the floor, which caused everyone to stop and look. They watched as Bucky disappeared down the hall to the bathroom.

There was nothing in Bucky's stomach for him to throw up, besides that little bit of coffee. He was now just dry heaving, spit trickling down his chin. He just wanted this to go away, why couldn't it go away? Bucky heaved into the toilet one last time before picking his head up, wiping away the spit that was now traveling down his neck. He noticed there was a slight red tinge to it.

He brought his knees up to his chest and his hands shook as he pushed his hair out of his eyes. The room was spinning, he was so dizzy. His mouth felt he had just chewed on chalk. He was a super solider, god damn it. He wasn't supposed to feel like this. Something wasn’t right.

He slowly got to his feet, hanging onto the sink for support. Slowly he made his way back to the kitchen, leaning against the wall so he wouldn’t fall over. He just needed to get to Banner. Banner would know what to do.

Back in the kitchen, Bucky could hardly see. His vision was darkening and his ears were ringing. He could feel eyes on him. Gripping the wall for support, he dry heaved again. “Bucky?” Someone asked, concern in their voice. That voice. He knew that voice.

“Y/N?” He panted, his head snapping up. The quick action made his head spin and his grip on the wall loosened. He caught a glimpse of you right before he fell on his face, vision going black, everything falling silent.

My Take on TLOU 2

Warning: Major spoilers for tlou part 1 and 2 below!

Before I start: None of my criticism is meant as hate against anyone who loved the game. This is just my personal opinion, if you liked it or feel differently than me, that’s completely fine, to each their own!  Also, this is solely about the plot, not the gameplay, the scenery, the graphics etc. because those were unarguably breathtaking and incredibly well done. Either way, here we go:

• Starting off with the elephant in the room: I absolutely hated that they killed Joel. I hated this so so much. 

1. The fact that they killed him at all Killing off a main Character is rarely the right call and it most definitely wasn't the right one for tlou in my opinion. Joel and Ellie’s father-daughter relationship and its growth was what made the first game so special and by killing Joel, they killed a whole lot of the game’s essence already. Plus, and this is a personal thing, I (and I am 100% sure lots of others) loved Joel as character, which makes killing him off even worse. ...which lets me come to my second point

2. How they killed him First, the fact that they did it so very early on in the game. I spoiled myself on accident and knew he was going to die way before I even started the initial game but I can say that I was entirely shocked that it happened at the start. I thought it might be done towards the middle, which would have at least given us some time with him and a possibility to say “goodbye” in a way but instead you get very few moments with him at the start and then his death. That’s it. That alone is a punch in the face for anyone who loved this character and the first game. Then, they make him save Abby only for her to lead them into an ambush. I was also very confused that they made Joel follow her without questioning it, sure this one is debatable, but after years and years of being a hardened survivor, do you really think he would just trust a random stranger? He grew softer, sure, and he also grew to trust people more, but not enough to just follow a random stranger who said they had a whole ass group without questioning it at least for a moment. He didn’t even seem to be just slightly wary and to be honest, that just seemed unnatural to me.  The brutality of his death is another punch in the face. Abby tortured him, for god knows how long. She first shot his kneecap off and then tortured him until he laid paralyzed on the ground, blood overflown and barely conscious. They did that to a character the whole first game lead you to love. Then they make Ellie come in to watch Abby give him the rest with a fucking golf curb while she pleads for his life. Sorry but what the fuck? We’ve seen Joel survive so fucking much, he’s survived being impaled by an iron rod for fuck’s sake and took out whatever people threw at him and he dies like that? Without even giving him the possibility to fight back? There’s so much going on in my head when I think about that moment that I honestly can’t even put all of this into words.

• I get that this all was done to set up the remaining plot and honestly, that was the next problem in my eyes. This whole story revolved around a revenge plot and how much you have to stop this circle of revenge. To me, that’s more of a predicable and overused plot but that might be a personal thing. My problem is even more that they made the whole story about this and that it felt like a severely forced teaching moment / moral of the story type of thing that lasted for 25(?) hours. I’m not against teaching moments per se, that’s not the thing, and I wanna be clear about that but I hate it when its a. forced b. way too obvious and feels unnatural, and to me that was the case in the second part.

• Now about 1/3 through the game, I didn’t want to completely give up on it yet. I thought/hoped there might be a chance for me to even somehow like it in the end. So I wanted to  stay open and for a little I could still see that there was a bit of the essence of the first game left. I loved the cut scenes of Joel and Ellie so so much. I can’t emphasize how much I adore them. They did a great job with them, really. The scenes at the museum are pure perfection and they honestly made me despise the fact that they decided to kill him even more. I will never get over Ellie putting the hats on the dinosaurs and Joel, and I will surely not get over his gift to her. This guy went out and searched his ass off to find her a cassette with the first moon-landing, just to be sure that he has the perfect gift for her. This is beyond adorable. I’ve rewatched these scenes so often already and they honestly get me emotional each time. These scenes felt like the first game again, they gave you that cozy, warm feeling when you got to watch their relationship grow. I also loved the guitar shop (or their way towards it) cut scene, it kind of conveyed what I would’ve wished for for the entire game. A good bunch of action and horror when they have to make their way through but it still has the essence of their relationship and their story when they discuss the teenager’s deaths.

• In short, I really really wanted to see more of these cut scenes and kept on hoping for more until they switched everything up and a cut scene for Abby started. 

• I already expected them to try and make Abby look better or made the thing she did to Joel kind of “understandable”, especially because I’ve seen that there were people who really started to love her character. So I kind of expected something big to happen. To me, it didn’t. So her father was the surgeon that Joel killed. Sure she hated Joel (fair enough, he killed her parent) but is that enough for me to understand, excuse etc. what she did in Jackson? Fuck no and that has several reasons. → Joel didn’t kill (nor fucking tortured!!) her father because of something small, like a few supplies etc. he killed him because he literally was about to kill his adopted daughter for a vaccine that might have not even worked out. He killed him to protect someone. Also:  → Her father moreover visibly seemed to doubt that he would do this procedure if Abby was the immune girl, which is pretty much hypocritical bullshit. → Abby’s father didn’t give a shit about Ellie too, he could have let her wake up and make a conscious decision whether she wanted to do this, he didn’t. He just approved of killing her → He threatened Joel with a surgical knife  → He would have stayed alive if he would have let Joel just go with Ellie / refrained from killing her  So this honestly didn’t make me feel for her, this only made my rage for her grow. She had to know that Joel killed her father (and prevented the vaccine) because he didn’t want this little girl to die for something that might have not even worked. Then, he saves her ass from a sure death and she still decides to torture him to death? There was not one moment of doubt in Abby, not one and what makes it worse is that she doesn’t show any remorse about what she did at any time during the game

• I really hoped that they would stop after this but they really made you play all 3 days as Abby, the same time as Ellie. They really force you to play as character who has killed and brought so much pain over the characters you grew to love (probably as an attempt to force you to like her after seeing her side). So instead of using these hours to give you time to play with these beloved characters, they give it to her. Sorry but that’s bullshit. 

• Besides this, it also absolutely threw off the pace of the plot. You just wanted to know what happens to Ellie now that Abby on top of it all also killed Jesse (!!!) and instead you get thrown back to square one. • I’m not interested in her weird love triangle with Owen and Mel, I don’t care how she got from Salt lake city to Seattle and I don’t care about her work out program. All these plots just frustrated me more tbh.

• Now, I wanna add that I tried to ask myself if I would’ve liked her if she hadn’t killed Joel and honestly, I’m 100% sure I wouldn’t. I just really don’t like her personality. All this time she just seemed bitter and boring, moreover she repeatedly said that she helped those others for herself and to top it off, she also fucked a guy with a pregnant girlfriend (fuck Owen too btw). So again, how do you expect me to like her?

• I did like Lev and Yara. Honestly, if naughtydog wanted to do something so very new, they could’ve just made a whole story about Lev’s struggles within this post apocalyptic community. That would have at least been interesting and wouldn’t have fucked your favorite characters over, just saying.

• Now flash-forward to the scene back at the theater. Abby’s just killed Jesse, she’s got Tommy hurt on the floor and then you’re forced to play as her and hurt Ellie? Fuck that  (Also, the way they had Ellie walk around in that scene? C’mon that’s not how she’d walk around a room while she’s searching for her enemy)

• This thing kind of leads to one thing that wraps up a lot of the end well, Ellie was panicked and broke down when she realized that Mel was pregnant, Abby said “good” when Ellie plead for Dina’s life and said that she was pregnant. I’m not saying that there’s a general difference between Ellie killing people and Abby killing people, it’s obviously shit either way but there’s a clear difference in how they handle it. Ellie is clearly distraught while Abby stays cold, and after everything (also everything else I’ve mentioned) they still wanna make you sympathize with Abby and be angry with Ellie for doing all this. A lot of the game is set up to this (at least that’s what i felt like). Just one example: Abby plays fetch with dog, Ellie is forced to kill dog (also, weird how you’re just forced to kill dogs when you play as Ellie and not Abby, huh?)

• While naughtydog tried to make YOU (as well as Ellie, honestly) see all the different points of views they make Abby entirely ignorant to it, without any remorse and still try to make you have sympathy for her. She does not try to be insightful regarding what she’s done to Joel and see Ellie/Joel’s side just once. She actually mentions that Joel deserved much worse and suggests she did everything right in Jackson. This ignorance and complete lack of remorse...I think this is one of by biggest problems with this plot. Also, that very last attempt to make you feel for Abby when she’s lost her bulk and stand at those pillars? Really? Kinda cheap 

• Again, I get where they wanted to go with the story. I get that they wanted to show that you lose everything when you just seek for revenge and that the circle needs to be broken, but it was so one-sided in the end. Both, Abby and Ellie lost a lot, but Ellie loses absolutely everyone and Abby still has Lev. Ellie loses even two fingers, which doesn’t even allow her to play guitar, which is another fucking punch in the face. It was more about letting Ellie face the consequences instead of Abby and to me, that’s just the wrong call to make after the entire first game lead you to love her and Joel. So, it felt dissatisfying to let Abby go in the end. I get why they did that but it felt like this whole journey was for absolutely nothing. Especially after they ripped her from a life with Dina and JJ to go back to hunting Abby down. She lost everything and didn’t even get to end it. 

• Generally, what this game did...I don’t think that this is something you do with beloved characters. You just don’t do them completely dirty and they did so with Ellie and Joel. People loved this game majorly because of Joel and Ellie’s story and relationship and were excited to see more of it in the next part and they screwed those people, their viewers and players, completely over. You don’t have to be a complete viewer pleaser, don’t get me wrong, but you also don’t need to completely shit all over them. After all, these are the people who buy and support your game, it’s just not fair to them.

• This might be a personal thing but I’ve seen so many creators ruin good stories just because they wanted to do something super creative, edgy and entirely new with it. 99% of the time that goes horribly wrong. Don’t get me wrong, you have to do new things to keep it fresh but at the same time you cannot lose what made a story special in the first place. You have to make sure to keep the essence of the story alive and at the same time do something new with it. Unfortunately, i feel like the creators of this game didn’t even want to keep this essence alive, they just wanted to do something entirely new and they belong to the 99% who managed to ruin it.

• You know what I would have loved as plot for the second game? If they would have let Ellie explore that her life can mean something and matter even without a vaccine. The first game even perfectly set the second one up for this. Resolving Joel and Ellie’s conflict + making Ellie realize that she’s more than just her immunity + a new adventure...that would have perfectly continued the story. It would have kept the essence of the game going and mixed it with something new. Now, they pretty much ignored how Ellie felt about this part (except for two cut scenes and a tiny bit here and there) which was pretty much her main issue since she got bit. The last cut scene with Joel and her outside...it just made we wish so much that they got the chance to properly talk everything out. And by now, I kinda just pretend that everything after this night didn’t happen.

• So honestly, I’m just very disappointed and upset. It felt like they were mostly just trying to prove that they had the balls to pull a plot like this off, to show that they had the balls to kill a beloved main character and have you play with their killer.  Sure, that might be ballsy and bold, but to me, that’s not what good story telling is about. Good story telling is not a game of “my dick is bigger than yours”. But maybe that’s just my opinion.

And there’s one more thing: Happy endings aren’t always bad, lazy and unrealistic And depressing endings aren’t automatically creative, deep and good I feel like that’s something a lot of creators don’t realize

the beast you made of me is this au where early season six nick gets abducted from his home and is held captive for maybe like. a year? by two hunters who hunt humans for sport (think like the most dangerous game) and they target nick and keep him cause he just won’t give up or die. nicks gonna be kept in a cage outside, his hair will grow out and by the time he escapes he’s gonna be like. feral. and this preview shows a little bit of that:

and then the violence in the pouring rain is a nick/naomi (oc) fic, gonna kinda detail their first night together and juxtapose it against them on a beach having sexy times before they get caught in a hurricane. nicks gonna get hurt and naomi’s gonna keep talking to him, retelling their history and it will end with them renewing their vows to each other (their relationship is a bit rocky at the start, nick kinda marries her just cause he got her pregnant)

Ethan:

I’m so frustrated with Ethan’s character – the writers have basically given up on him and it’s disappointing. I hate seeing him go through the same character development that he went though 2 seasons ago – we’ve gone through him working to overcome being overly cautious and judgmental when he was dating April (GOD I want my Chexton back) and now he’s doing it all over again with Varani – I’m over it. All of the good character development has been given to Marcel, and I’m not saying it’s a bad thing but it’s annoying when we know more about his character’s background and parents than we do Ethan’s; at this point we know about everyone’s parents except for Ethan, Maggie and April (we know a bit about the Sextons’ but not much).

The other thing that’s frustrating me with Ethan is that he just got out of a love triangle, one that destroyed a really good relationship between he and April, for the writers to throw him into another love triangle with Will and Varani . It’s so out of character with his moral code and the hurt he experienced with April and Marcel for him to voluntarily enter this mess for a character who doesn’t have half the charisma of April, Nat or Maggie…

I’m so disappointed, Ethan truly deserves better because he should be a much stronger character by now. I can think of so many storylines that they could’ve had him in. Like just think about it – if he and April had worked out and gotten married and possibly gotten pregnant, we could’ve had a whole story arch of a newly married couple working out their busy schedules to make time to build their family, how they could’ve handled being new parents while both being so dedicated to their medical careers, how they could’ve handled whatever cultural/family differences that could possibly arise – there’s a difference between Brazilian culture and whatever ethnicity Ethan is (we still don’t know that; I know Brian Tee is Korean/Japanese, but is Ethan?). Le sigh.

 April:

GIRL WHAT IS GOING ON WITH YOU?!?! I know that April is super dedicated to her patients and she has said that the COVID ward makes her feel like she’s really found her calling but to push meds without a doctor? GIRL! Lanik should’ve cussed her out! I feel like Will’s recklessness is rubbing off on April and she needs someone to help her reign her impulses in cause that was ridiculous. I feel like the writers don’t know what to do with April either – ever since Chexton ended and they’ve separated her from Ethan in terms of proximity, both he and April have been stagnant, doing the same crazy mess again and again and again.

The show has been setting April up to be a doctor ever since they had her tell Ethan that she wanted to be a doctor originally but didn’t receive support from her family. I wish they would just go one with it, it will give April something to focus on that supports her career driven personality. Hell, maybe that could be something that brings her and Ethan together – him helping her study, etc. But I’m excited for her to just do it and become a doctor, I feel like she would absolutely treat the nurses with respect and I would like to see her in that type of leadership role.

 Will & Varani:

Fuck this love triangle – I hope it never gets off the ground – however I do like Varani’s audacity to be like “yea, I’m seeing both of yall at the same time”, that was actually funny. I do like Will’s chemistry with Varani and, as I said before, I’m definitely interested in seeing them together HOWEVER I do like the fact that Varani works with Ethan instead of against him like everyone else, I think they could have a good supportive friendship while she explores a romantic relationship with Will.

It was also kinda funny to see Will kinda possessive over Varani, like kinda making it clear to Ethan that he’s overstepping cause Will likes Varani, meanwhile she’s playing both sides.

 Mancel:

I really like them LOL. Them saying their “I love yous” has me swooning and I can’t wait to see how their relationship grows. I would love to see Marcel interact with Owen and them begin to do family stuff together. That thing with Nat’s mom (I see you Ms. Waldorf-Rose) was weird; she sent him Persian spices like he couldn’t have gotten them himself, makes me wonder what she would’ve sent if he was Black, maybe some chicken LMAO!!! It’s like if April’s mom had sent Ethan chopsticks or something. It’s nice but not really thoughtful, I’m glad that Marcel took it in stride but I hope Nat will shut it down if something like that happens again cause it was kinda dumb.

 Writers:

FUCK YA’LL. It’s that way today, tomorrow and forever as long as yall keep playing these games and having obvious favorite characters that they build up and let get away with everything. It’s frustrating cause their weakest characters where the strongest ones at one point. Very disappointed because the writers took their time and presented Marcel’s background. They never took the time to research the other BIPOC characters background and their culture & include that into their storylines, it could really account for how they view & react to situations. Missed opportunities.

“Hey honey, how was your day?” Amy’s sweet, soothing voice called out to Kamilah as she heard the apartment door softly shut. A small smile crept onto Kamilah’s face as she set her blazer down, along with her briefcase before she peeked her head around the corner.

Her nose twitched up at the sight of Amy standing in the kitchen, stirring something in a pot. “My my, what are you making my dearest?” The scent of tomatoes and garlic lifting into the air, filling Kamilah’s nose. She walked over to her wife, looking inside the pot before wrapping her arms around Amy’s waist.

The woman shivered slightly, when she felt soft lips on the side of her neck and a cozy grasp around her stomach. “I’m making pasta” she mumbled as she smiled to herself. “It smells delicious” the Egyptian licking her lips and winking at her wife, “where’s Alina?”

Amy moved to grab a handful of spaghetti, and carefully dropping it into the pan of boiling hot water. “She was outside when I last saw her.” She replied while Kamilah was already opening the back door.

Kamilah slowly slid her heels off, carefully putting them beside the door and smiling at the girl in front of her.

It was their daughter, Alina. With the help of Adrian and his team of world renowned scientists, the couple were able to make their dreams a reality when Amy became pregnant.

The nine months had proven to be difficult, with Kamilah taking time off work, weeks at a time so she could be there for Amy. To help when she had ridiculous cravings in the middle of the night. To cuddle Amy to sleep when the pains became unbearable, Kamilah whispering sweet lullabies in her ear so she was at peace. To guide her to the bathroom at 1 in the morning when she felt her stomach flip like a switch.

It was something new for the both of them, but it paid off in the end. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter, their hearts bursting with joy when they first met her. She was a hard working girl, like her parents. Determined and passionate with whatever she set her mind to. Had the tough, cold emotions of Kamilah, but had a soft, sweet side like Amy.

Kamilah stuffed her hands in her pocket, smiling at her daughter who was playing soccer in the back garden. She walked over, the cool, cut grass was a nice texture under her feet as she set a reassuring hand on her daughter's shoulder.

Alina turned to see Kamilah, her smile widening as she threw her arms around her mother’s neck. “Hello mum, how are you?” Her words muffled while snuggling Kamilah’s neck. “I’m good my love, how's practice?” The woman eyeing the ball and smiling proudly at her daughter as they separated. “I’m just practicing my penalty kicks, coach wants us to do more of these drills for the game this weekend.” She replied before taking three big steps behind the ball.

Kamilah knew the routine, she’d stand in goal while her daughter “attempted” to beat the keeper which had proven..easy at times but Kamilah never liked to admit it. As the Egyptian stood in front of the goal, she eyed her daughter, calculating her strike in her mind so she knew where to save the ball from.

In all honesty, her daughter looked very intimidating like this. She was Kamilah’s height, tall and strong with broad shoulders. Her figure far from puny thanks to her childhood. Both her parents wanted her to be strong and healthy, not weak and puny as she grew older and she had succeeded their expectations.

Kamilah grabbed the gloves on the edge of the net, quickly fixing them into her hands and punching her fists together while waiting for the strike. Alina’s run up was quick, she remembered her coaching and looked down at the ball as her foot made contact, lifting it off the air with one quick move.

Kamilah watched the ball from the moment it left the ground, following it and smiling before her smile faded as the ball curved at the last moment and fell into the back of the net.

“Beat that mum!” She smirked and winked as the woman wrapped her arm around Alina’s shoulders. “Good game.” She replied while tossing the gloves off to the side and opening the back door just as Amy called for dinner.

“My oh my, look how much you’ve grown!” Amy’s expression showing shock as she saw her wife and daughter side by side. “You say that every time.” The young woman replied, rolling her eyes while Kamilah turned to look at Alina.

“You are becoming more like me every day.” Kamilah said with a smile before she ruffled her daughters hair and grabbed the bowl of pasta.

They all sat down together at the table, the room filling with laughter as they ate dinner with one another. “So Kamilah, how was your day?” Amy spinning the pasta round her fork and looking up at her wife as she took a bite.

“Well I had loads of client meetings today, had a conference with the Smith’s at 10, the Adams at 11, I had to go out and buy coffee for myself because my assistant couldn’t follow simple instructions..” Her voice trailing off while Amy and Alina stared at each other.

When Kamilah heard no response to her question, she shook out of her daze to find two pairs of eyes staring at her like they’d seen a ghost. “What? Did I say something wrong?” Her gaze falling upon Amy, whose lips curled up into a devilish smirk.

“Your so adorable when you rant like this..” She giggled slightly, the smirk still proudly on her face while Kamilah bowed her head to hide the colour in her cheeks. She had never really “blushed” before, a surprise for Amy when she saw Kamilah like this.

Alina muffled a laugh behind her hand when she looked upon both her parents, one blushing like never before, the other smirking at how the other one was behaving.

“This is a dream.” Alina’s voice snapping both Amy and Kamilah out of their dazes. All three of them linked their hands together, forming the shape of a triangle, an unstoppable triangle.
