She's always wearing tight little black tees that fit her big arms and show off that softness of her belly. Has a fucking gun secured on her belt at all times, and doesn't that idea alone- the idea that she'd kill for you, no hesitation, she's fucking built for it- just dizzying? Paparazzi swarming you, and you lose your footing- there's her big strong arm grabbing you around your waist to keep you upright. Wardrobe malfunction with the front of your blouse, not even a worry as Ghost is pulling you close to her chest like it's a hug while you hurriedly fix the issue. Some drunk asshole making it through regular security because he's convinced he's the one for you- yeah, right. Ghost’s got him knocked on his ass before he even makes it into your line of sight.

She hangs around you more than she's paid to. Stays an hour or two at your hotel room, even when she's got one booked next door.

"Can't hear as well, over there," she says.

She's quiet, gruff, easily angered when you endanger yourself. It happened a lot more when you were a newer idol- all you wanted to do was make your loving fans happy, and no one had warned you of the dark spiral of requests that would come when none were denied. Fucking PR nightmare. It was the whole reason Ghost got assigned to you, best of the best from the military.

Next hotel you stay at on your tour, a mixup happens. Your usual suite was bought out from under you- some princess or something. Of course, due to your tour, somehow all other rooms were bought out.

"Can get a motel down the street, you can take mine." She's already packing her bags like she made the decision for you.

"Didn't you say once that you can't sleep without knowing I'm OK? Why don't we share your room, I'll take the couch."

Ghost bristled, like you'd insulted her. "Wouldn't be you sleeping on the couch, miss."

You misunderstood her, much too easy to do when that skull mask blocks her face. And her pretty freckles. And that perfect pearly scar bisecting her bottom lip-- "Ghost, I didn't mean it like that. I won't take your room and force you to sleep worse."

"Take the bed with me then."

"Best night's sleep of your life, eh?"

You can see her eyebrows knit together, a faint rosy blush peeking over and under the edges of her mask.

"I-I meant like, since you'll definitely know I'm OK all night."

Ghost's posture slumped with a bit of relief. "Right." She pulled your bags off your shoulders, throwing the two of them over one of hers like they weighed nothing. "Lead the way then."

Fifth entry of my “Dunmeshi rarepairs I will birth with my own hands if I have to” series. This one’s straight up embarrassing, like of course the shadow version of Chilchuck and Marcille would get me.

It suddenly grabbed me out of nowhere. What got me thinking about it is this exchange, first comic third panel, because like… Woah. He knows she has a thing for Kabru? Or something. And he has NO FEAR. Like it’s so forward and has 0 pretenses lmao. And then I thought… And oh no. Oh no.

Very uptight and strict and rules-following and too self-aggrandizing tbh x will not hesitate to insult you to your face and sleazy and free spirit…. Kuro is involved in an ot3 of sorts in my head and basically they drag her into Situations of various moral standing aka scams or idk going to a club god forbid. I think she needs to relax and get taken down 1 peg maybe, and I think he needs like…….. Someone to teach him what is unhealthy lmao, also remind him to get work benefits, and if they can like get to feel safe and comfy with one another (and god just the road there would be a beautiful trainwreck to watch) they would be gossip besties worsties.

Kabru needs to be the epitome of morals but like, if it’s Mickbell she can lower the bar… Just for him… <3 She can fix him just a little and she’ll be like "wow! Ok I can settle for this amount of upstanding behavior from you Mickbell you get a gold star"

I never expected it ok I read this extra expecting nothing and god knows why I saw him be like "hey u like Kabru right. You’re his babysitter right. Which poor sap is being Kabru’s maid" with 0 fear and her being so casually pissed back at him and idk, how they’re so comfy being not polite with one another but they’re still coworkers-friends despite it… Crazy for how prickly they both are that they manage that much. They bicker and see each other as annoying at best but weirdly dependable and friends despite it all and……….. I am going to grow them in a lab and observe how I can make it work

MICKBELL IS A REBOUND MORE AT 9??? Maybe Rin and Mickbell have a one night stand and then the aftermath dynamic is this….. She probably regrets it. And then it gets more complex and grows into something odd as she becomes hyperaware of him and they have this little complicity thing going on….

I think cuddling with Kuro (who would be more like a platonic protective & soothing presence in his and Rin’s relationship rather than romo) would destress her actually I think she needs and deserves it. Go to a dog cafe bbygirl it’ll fix you. So what I’m saying is the three of them watch a movie and Rin and Mickbell are sitting on Kuro’s laps and everyone is so comfy. Kuro’s legs die halfway through but he’s self-sacrificing it’s fine….. Actually Mick is on his laps Rin’s just nuzzled into his side. There, fixed. I am so weirdly invested in them… They’re funky to think about. Rin seeing Mickbell and Kuro like "you guys are aware that what you two have is fucked up right" and then joining them in the messy dynamic 🤝  Put them in situations. That will be all.

All while being haunted by Ren and how he can't remember what they used to be. And how he's still in Red Winter, he's still using the same plan he made back then, even if he doesn't know it. To make spring happen. Because if Grian didn't kill the ones he loved, he would've been taking them out himself in some futile attempt to win and please the voices screaming at him. Because at his core Marytn is a liar and a thief and a gaslighter and to a certain point, even including Ren, his loyalty is a lie and he will be plotting the downfall of his allies as soon as they join up.

Secrets In The South (the part 2 set in secret life) is about how they all three fall in love again, no Southlands, no unsteady alliance. Just the Watchers who are worse than they were three games go. Their not as loud as they used to be, but they're still there. Even though he has no need to win and gaslight anymore because he'd won and played the game. Especially after he won with a dogwarts banner around his waist, killing his ally. Like he intened to in the first game. And its about how Marytn saves Jimmy from the curse, but at the cost of the both of them. And it's about how at first Ren isn't there to haunt him but his absence does regardless, but the day he physically is (in the form of Jimmy’s ex soul mate no less) he loses them both again.
