I was looking for Lockwood and Co FanFiction the last few nights because I’m starved and was disappointed to find it’s mostly Locklyle stuff. I have no problem with the ship but godddd such a rich, complicated world needs non shipping fics.

And my best dude, Skull is only a weird side character and doesn’t get the spotlight he deserves. There’s so much that can be done with his character and I have so many ideas.

Basically I’m quickly reaching the ‘if I don’t fjnd the content I need soon I’m gonna roll up my shirt sleeves and make it myself’

I think of so many stupid shenanigans between Wriothesley and his daughters in the Addison Lee verse. They tell Wriothesley crazy shit all the time, their daddy-daughter secrets, and it drives Neuvillette nuts that Wriothesley won't snitch.

Sigewinne, whispering into his ear: Today at school I punched a boy because he was being mean. I waited until it was recess, and made sure that no one was watching, and I punched him. Everyone knows he is a liar, so noooo one believed him when he cried about it. And Sigewinne is aaaalways a superstar so Mr Vautrin didn't suspect a thing !

Wriothesley, mildly concerned: Uh huh.

Sigewinne: Papa would say Sigewinne has to be nice to everyone, but, Sigewinne thinks bullies need to get punched sometimes, b'cos, b'cos otherwise, they think everyone is just gonna let them be mean

Wriothesley: Y'know what. That's fair

#They tend to play with him more than Neuvillette because he can match their energies #but Neuvillette usually is who they'd run to when they #need calmness and comfort #at night. when they're all asleep. Neuv would pin his husband down and be like. Tell me. Tell me the secrets.#and Wriothesley is like Noooooooo snitches get stitches Neuv #obviously if it's serious he'd let him know. but. if Carole comes up to him and is like daddy I secretly put a roach in Mr Vautrin's lunch #he'd be like. Did he think it was yummy?#and Carole is like aheeheeehee noooo don't be silly !! It was a prank and the roach was plastic so he can't eat it anyway #ingital #also vautrin teaches all 3 of their kids #for like. first grade #so he's basically a family friend at this point #I also have this stupid #scene in my head. the Swear Jar. I imagine like swear words in the Wriollette household is a hotly debated topic. because Daddy say it #aaaaaall the time. And Wriothesley doesn't believe in banning words. He explains it to the kids when they ask but he's like. You can be #just as hurtful. if not more. with words that are not considered 'bad'. You can still be mean without saying fuck. The point is to be nice #and daddy is nice isn't he. even if he says bad words sometimes.#but neuvillette is like No. No Bad Words. It is considered socially inappropriate for your age group. When you are older #you can decide if you want to use them. however. there are some rules in the classroom and I do not want you girls to get into trouble.#if you get into the habit of cursing like your dad. it'd be hard to keep away from them when you are in class. and bad words frighten papa #so. I ask that you ladies do not use them.#but like I don't think. they'd Punish the kids. the swear jar isn't even like. a punishment. it is a swear tax. every time you say bad word #you have to pay the swear tax. and whatever's in the jar gets taken out for ice cream or whatever to make papa feel better #[ this is how wriothesley explain it ]#and it leads to stuff like. The girls being considerate to Neuvillette firstly (he isn't actually all that bothered he's more scared #of the social repercussions for the girls. But they think he's Scared Of All Bad Words)#so they'd be like. papa cover your ears. I am going to say frightening words. FUCK YOU TIMMY. and then they pay their swear tax #and when Wriothesley curse in front of Neuvillette. the girls are like stop it. you will frighten papa. pay the swear tax NOW #we must acquire the icecream for papa. lest he gets so frightened he runs away forever. and wriothesley is like oh shit yeah that'd be bad #and theyre like DADDY. STOP IT

Thinking about if Reala’s design and personality were partially inspired by heels in wrestling 🤔

He is an actual villain unlike heels but I know it’s a pretty common fan theory that before NiGHTS rebelled, they would take the “friendlier” role while collecting Ideya, befriending the visitors and helping them regain their Ideya, and then Reala comes in and Gets Them™, so he portrays a villain within their specific Ideya-collecting act (and I guess NiGHTS kind of does too once the overall plan is revealed but yk)

I was wondering why he was designed with muscles- it’s probably just to better distinguish him from NiGHTS’ daintier and more elegant design and establish him as an antagonist but I feel like he does that well enough even without muscles, so I thought this could be a cool explanation idk

#i guess i’ve never really seen muscles as an “evil” trait so they’ve always seemed kind of random on reala imo.. buff clown #i guess in canon he could just shapeshift to have them (or not have them) but i’ve always hc’d them as something wizeman designed him with #and i like the idea of him eventually coming to question and struggle with why he had to be the “scary one” in his and nights’ usual scheme #he likes how he looks and he can technically just change it but he doesn’t like how other people think of his appearance #nights scares based on actions and can control that while reala scares based on appearance and so he can’t like. turn that off #and he knows it still happens even after wizeman is gone :(#anyway i finished my paper so i can Talk About The Characters.. i should’ve prob put the hc stuff in a separate post #long post #also long tags shsjsn #ok one more: reala’s like “sometimes i wish i looked more like you” and nights just tells him “but who will open jars for me then :(”#nights into dreams #tagging this.. people need to Know #reala

hmmm... If Klarion and Teekl had their backstory retconned into the "limbotown" stuff, the Sins of The Youth still happen? Tim doesn't remember either of them in Robin 157, and Sins of The Youth doesn't work without Klarion...

Robin 158 gave us this teensy Teekl tho!

#im sorry hes iconic #i missed him so much #ok there were things i rlly liked about the book #and rhings i liked less #joking aside #i liked the charatcerisation for orestes a lot #i really do wish we knew more about Iante as a charatcer but maybe this is just me sucking at reading #like i didnt have the impression i knew stuff about her and how shes like #outside of very generic stuff #maybe i really do need to learn how to read better im scared if it's a me thing or not #orestes and Clytemnestra's last meeting...damn #yeah my main point is Iante here actually I do like her I just dont feel very attached to her #i wish there were a little mit more moments showing orestes growing closer to her #not saying it was jarring and unexpected I just wish we had a scene or two #toibin's style of writing is interesting #but i also have a feeling that it's muddied by the fact i read it in another language #idk like it feels maybe if i read it in the oriigjnal language i would have appreciated it more #dont take any of this too seriouslh im no book critic and i am bad at reading i srsly feel like i am #i know my faults #im just rambling a bit here #LEANDER AND ORESTES SHOULD HAVE BEEN END GAME!!!! I’m such a culinary genius I just pickled some radish and I didn’t even look up a recipe . well I looked up how to pickle stuff but I didn’t look at any measurements 💪💪💪💪
