so we're all in different time periods but via our earpieces, some diy fluorescent gas visors and a party member whose lightning magic seems capable of manipulating spacetime, we've managed to "sync" -- all in the same place, communicating across different eras in "real time". in this fucked up time tower in particular, objects can be interacted with by people in different times concurrently, meaning that for the first time in 2 months nerve gets to feel like maybe he's near another person by prodding the other party members with sticks from hundreds of years in the future.

"I dunno where'd I'd do some fighting, but that still might just be my sibling's thing. She's much better at that than I've ever been." She laughed a bit, but it was too obvious it was a bit forced. "Maybe I can find some music though!" Shadow's face lit up for a moment.

"Oh, there's some music I like! One of the good labcoats had this DVD that brought with them sometimes."

"Though where would I find that DVD..."

"This may not be what you are wishing for, but there are some concert venues that you can visit, if you desire to know their location."

"Oh- it's okay! I can check tomorrowwwwwww-" The Eevee yawned toward the end.

Happy 4th of July everyone! Just wanna say Spiderman: Far From Home was fabulous! Even if it restarted twice (I took a pic because Peter’s FACE) and the workers were really stressed I could tell...dang thunderstorms :/ But yeah, no spoilers for awhile but...can we PLEASE get Peter some MORE hugs or?? Do I have to draw them myself???? Also as a tip there ARE 2 after credits scenes that like. Severely impact the story, no joke, watch for those! *screeches*

I also finished another lyric comic panel...not likely to finish by the time I wanted, but steady progress nonetheless! Not to mention a commission I finished....wew ^^

Oh and I was lamenting not being able to watch Stranger Things 3 today since we’re renovating the living room so the TV is....in the kitchen......and my mum was like “hey let’s hijack your sister’s TV and watch” and like? She’s never seen it so we start from season 1! I’m not unhappy with this...it’s a great refresher, I’m noticing alot I didn’t before! Poor Barb :( I do look forward to the new season tho, man...considering everything it’s so not my cup of tea, but I like it so much anyway?? Why?? Idk but it was a good day and yeah there’s work tomorrow but then weekend so yaaaaay~

Shawn’s POV

I felt awful. I knew it wasn’t my fault, none of this was, but I shouldn’t have listened to Y/N when she told me to leave. I should have staid and fought for everything. For us. I loved her, I knew that. I also knew that I could never live without her and I didn’t want to. I was just laying around in my apartment, my agent was talking about something, but I wasn’t listening, when I decided that maybe…it wasn’t too late. I sat up and my agent stared at me with a shocked look on his face. “What’s wrong?” I jumped to my feet and grabbed my keys and phone. “I’ll go to Y/N. Maybe we can still work things out.” I was already at my front door, when my still shocked agent caught up with me. “Shawn, dude, she cheated on you. She doesn’t deserve you, man.” He grabbed my shoulder, but I yanked it out of his grip, rougher then I meant to. “I’m sorry, but I love her. She made a mistake, sure, but I also made mistakes and she always forgave me. I mean, I didn’t cheat, but I left her alone for so long and then got jealous of her male friends. No wonder she cheated, I must’ve been insufferable. But I can’t imagine my life without her, so please don’t try to stop me. I-I know that it’s stupid and a bad idea, but that’s what I need to do right now. I need to be stupid and make a mistake and see. I need to see here.” I knew I was rambling, but I needed to get this and so much more off my chest. My agent looked taken aback and slowly nodded. “Okay…if you feel so strongly about her, go ahead. Let me know how it went, bud.” He clapped me on the shoulder, and I smiled at him in thanks. I sped to Y/N’s house and noticed that my hands were shaking as I got out of my car. I slowly walked up to her front door and took three deep breaths, before I knocked on the door. I heard shuffling and other voices behind the door, before it was opened. In front of me stood a tall, dark haired man with a kind smile on his face, that dropped as soon as he recognized me. “Oh…well that’s awkward.” He ruffled through his hair and took a step outside. “You must be Shawn, right? I’m Y/S/H/N, Y/N’s brother in law.” I looked at him confused. My first reaction when I saw him was jealousy, but he at least had a reason to be there. “Where is Y/N?” “Nice to meet you too.” He rolled his eyes and took another step outside, forcing me to take a step back. “Look Shawn, Y/N no longer lives here. There are currently people inside that are looking at the house to rent it. So, if you could please leave?” He tried to go inside again, but I held him back. “Wait, at least tell me where Y/N is!” My voice was louder then I actually intended for it to be and I flinched. “Look, I’m sorry, but I really need to talk to her. It’s important.” The man in front of me shook his head. “I know for a fact that she doesn’t want to see you right now. Give her time and maybe…I don’t know. Maybe it would be best to forget her, buddy.” He again, had a kind smile on his face. “But...But I love her.” My voice was quiet…weak. “I know. But love has mysterious ways and if it’s meant to be, it will be. I know it’s not a lot, but I always helped me to stomach heartbreaks.” He patted my shoulder and smiled again. I just nodded. “Okay.” Then I walked back to my car and drove off.

AND JUST LIKE THAT KARA’S SITTING LIKE SHE’S EIGHT YEARS OLD and pissed at her parents. which is no small feat in the tiny shuttle that they’re currently cramped in, heading back to the citadel for god only knows what. was she paying attention during the short briefing shepard gave her back on the normandy? fuck no, but that can hardly be blamed on her. 

it’s joker’s fault. he was the one who’d told her about them in the first place. even worse, he’d linked them in an omni-message: ten-minute compilations to three-hour complete sets, full of little six-second clips about shit so weird that kara couldn’t get ‘em out of her head even days after watching them. VINES, THEY CALL ‘EM. which doesn’t really make sense. but that’s not the point. the point is —— the point is ——

the point is shepard hasn’t smiled in three days. when kara walked into the shuttle bay, ready to rock, and off-handedly mentioned barbecue sauce on her titties —— that had gotten a little eye twitch. (also, tali choked on her own spit, which was hysterical.) and then, when garrus had walked by and kara pointed at him and screamed about chickens? only a snort. a snort.

but that was then. and this is now. 

there’s a hum as the shuttle begins its descent towards the council’s private docking area. small ships only. (kara’s met them. small dicks only, too.) the comms between shepard and kara crackle and come to life with an asari’s voice: CRISP, CLEAR, AND PROFESSIONAL. “council docking —— state your name and business.”

shepard leans forward, but she’s too slow. kara’s there first, snatching the lone headset and bringing it to her lips. their eyes meet: shepard’s wide, kara’s narrowed. the commander’s mouth starts to open, forms a word that looks suspiciously like no. 

time freezes. kara clears her throat.the world holds its breath. 

“hi —— ”

“hi,” the asari says in a voice that doesn’t like where this is going but is helpless to stop it. 

“ —— my name is trey i have a baskETBALL game toMORROWWWWWWW i’mma POINTGUARD —— ”

that’s all she manages to get out —— all she needs to get out —— before shepard’s wrestling the comms away from her. but kara sees that tiny, crooked smile at the corner of her mouth, starting small and growing even as shepard’s doing her best to turn away. 

saving the world is hard, thankless work. 

and kara will be damned if she lets her commander go at it alone.

Yeah I hope Lauren is okay too. Not sure if this is relevant but she tweeted after Camila liked a tweet. Probably letting Camila know that she needs help or needs Camila. If they both helped each other with anxiety that's cute & true love right there😢 Lauren probably had some 🍁 to help with her anxiety though lol-🏋��‍♀️
