Also you said that you wanted to try writing this but are scared...I say go for it!! We all start from somewhere. I still remember when I wrote my first few smut fics and they were obviously much worse compared to where I am now but I only got here by writing and writing and I feel like I still have a long journey ahead of me. This Rotoumblr blog is meant to bring back memories of Professor Oak’s Radio Show, except me and Roto are gonna be doing a whole lot more! Our new school allows us to travel for a few months all around the Paldea region, and during that time, we plan on traveling and showing off all the great Pokemon that we can find and research! Hi! Re-doing this blog! I’m the mun here! I’ve had Lochland as an oc for about two years, and thought it’d be cute to show him off! He’ll be the protagonist of a SV universe, and he has his own self contained story, which you will see throughout the blog! I am perfectly fine RP with others though!

So, if you don't know, here's a basic explanation of what this blog (and who Dillisk) used to be (not required reading):

For a 100 Follower event on another Pkmn IRL Blog I run, I decided to do an 'au takeover!' Of that character, which ended up being Dillisk. I decided a few weeks after to make Dillisk a separate blog—but so that I wasn't running two blogs with the exact same character, I decided to include two of her coworkers on there!

This was all well and good, but I quickly felt stuck when it came to Dillisk as a character, and events I wanted to do with this blog. So it eventually fell into a hiatus. But I'm back! With a hard reboot.

Important notes:

Most interactions and events before August 23rd, 2024 are currently considered non-canon. This might change, depending on other muns and stuff! If we've interacted before, feel free to DM me and we can work something out !

The current Dillisk that runs this blog is NOT AFFILIATED with the previous version, or the other blog I mentioned. While they share the same name, the similarities end there. Everything, including their backstory, is now different!

Greetings to all! I suppose an introduction is due. You can call me Vee. I'm nothing more than a humble traveler and merchant, though it seems my wares aren't in very high demand, nowadays!

I do have a few Pokémon of my own, though my Partner would be my dear Togekiss, Precor. She's been with me for a long time.

This is a blog for Volo from Legends: Arceus! But, with a bit of a twist! He's in modern times >:) I won't be talking much about the specifics of why or how, but I do want to say that Volo, or "Vee", is in modern Sinnoh.

Disclaimer! This blog will feature themes of Religion and Religious trauma. If that makes you uncomfortable, this will probably not be the blog for you. I find it difficult to judge what is deserving of being tagged and what isn't, so for the most part, unless I think something is reasonably extreme, it will go untagged. Feel free to ask me to tag something in particular, though.

Volo is not a necessarily "good" person. I am not trying to make him a good person. What he is, however, is someone who's trying to do a good thing. His plan to recreate the world is founded in a sense of care and duty. In his mind, whatever horrible actions he takes to reach that goal are worth it. The end result outweighs the atrocities. He is still working towards this goal, and he will continue to do so.

Volo will frequently be subjected to the horrors. Feel free to bully him of your own accord as well!

Volo is somewhere between agender and non-binary. The gender is there, but it is VERY vague. He goes by all pronouns, though he will most often refer to himself with he, they, and it. (Small note, like I said above, bullying him is perfectly acceptable, and you can try to get in his head about gender and whatnot, but that. Really won't work well. He simply does not care enough to be affected.)

Now for little rules and whatnot:

Please please please don't have your character recognize Volo right away, unless they have a reasonable excuse to do so, such as having known him in Hisui times. An Akari blog can go "Hey don't I know you" but some random other character can't. You can say he looks familiar, or like that one guy in the history books or whatever, but don't go straight out with "Aha! You are Volo from Hisui who tried to end the world!!" No. That isn't any fun. If you try to do that I'll ignore you. That being said you can absolutely say he looks like Cynthia.

No NSFW. Explicit things, specifically of the sexual nature, are not allowed. Use your brain on this. Making a penis joke is fine. A graphic description of a penis is not.

Magic anons are not allowed unless I make a specific exception. If you really want to try something, message me! Communication is ALWAYS appreciated.

Sapient pokemon, including Legendaries, are absolutely allowed to interact! Please keep in mind, though, that Volo might get Weird about it. Especially when it comes to Legendaries.

Tagging

Honestly, I'm not great at tagging upsetting content. If you need something specific tagged then leave me a DM or ask (anon or not) or something and I'll try my best to keep a running list of what needs tagged and how (I keep a Google Doc for myself for my tagging system and will happily add your needed tags to it). Chances are, you'd be seeing violence or blood. If you're in the BSD fanbase, I'm kind of making a blanket assumption that you're okay with that when you interact around here. If not? Good luck, I guess.

I give all characters their own individualized tags. I'm working on making them all short song lyrics. Please feel free to ask about any tags you see! Characters that haven't been given lyric tags yet are given the tag 'placeholder [character] tag.' If they're an au-specified character, such as from Beast, its specifically 'beast [Character] tag'. I have a handful of AU and/or concept emoji tags. If I ever see it relevant enough, I'll make a key for them.

Drawings are tagged #doodles. 'Personal' not really content posts are tagged #sticky note. More put-together posts I intend to actually circulate in the world are tagged with the fandom and relevant characters / novels, ex. #bsd dazai, #bsd fifteen, etc. People I interact with frequently might find themselves with their own tags as well! A week ago there was a discussion about cropping stunts from pictures and many larries said that they used to prefer pictures this way but then realized it was like putting head in the sand and so they decided to not ignore it. Some even said that it´s important to have a whole picture aka the stunt including because of the context and something like understanding what is going on but honestly I haven´t understood what they meant. What is your opinion abou this, Marte? Why is context imporant when it comes to stunt photos? For me, who´s there since h*livia (so I´m new to H´s stunting and before I dived under the H´s surface and larry I used to think all his gfs were real because hadn´t known pr relationships/stunts/beards/closeting existed) I still don´t know what to think about this. One part of me is like "I love updates but I don´t like seeing H stunting" (Louis´ stunting don´t bother me at all, don´t know why - maybe because it will never convince me it´s real) and the second part of me is like "Whatever, I know what I know and my beliefs are strong so seeing H stunting won´t hurt me anymore". But I still feel weird seeing H pretending to be perfectly straight boyfriend and remember how much I hated those pda photos from Sep 23rd 2022 aka very obviously organic pap photos released the day that stupid movie went to the cinema worldwide and had to disconnect from the fandom for couple of weeks because it really hurt me and couldn´t believe H did that after he totally ignored her in Venice and had that lovely MP press conference and premiere in Toronto.

In regards to the to crop or not to crop discourse. I'm am 100% pro crop. I don't want to see any stunt photos. At all. By reblogging the full photo you are doing exactly what they want you to do, spreading the pictures. Exposing your followers to the stunt, making them sad or mad, insecure in their beliefs, or if you've got followers who follows you for other reasons making them believe it's real. Why would you contribute to any of that? I have zero tolerance for stunt pictures from fellow larries. Either the blogger need to tag it in a way that i can permanently blacklist it, or i don't follow the blog at all.

I somewhat see the argument that non-cropped pics is for archival purposes and for posterity, fandom history and in case you need it in the future. But it's a god damn stunt no matter which way you look at it. It all boils down to this. Do you need picture proof of it being a stunt? No, you don’t. If it's that important to you, make a sideblog and reblog it there or like it or put it in your drafts. There will always be het blogs that reblog and save the uncropped stunt pictures and most of them are used in tabloid articles. Seeing stunt pictures is infuriating to me. If you didn’t crop stunt pics you'd hardly have pics of Harry to reblog though. So it's important to crop so we can have content.

I don't see the argument that cropping is sticking your head in the sand. It's about enjoying pictures of you idol. As i said, if we didn't crop we'd hardly have any pics of H. It's about curating your fandom experience and eliminating the things that make you angry or drive you mad. Your dash/timeline should be a sanctuary away from stunting and fakeness. You shouldn't be at risk of seeing fellow larries reblogging stunt pictures. If you want to see them you could just open the daily mail. The pics are everywhere. Since they are everywhere, the one place i would expect to avoid them is in the larry fandom. It's a stunt and we fucking hate stunts. So please keep it off our dash.
