i only found episode 2 of season 2 (not even episode 1), and of course no one had time to provide eng subs yet (not that me not understanding a word would’ve kept me from watching it cause: carlos cuevas) and now i’m sad :((

pol had the chance to wake up to and stare at this exquisitely beautiful face every god damn morning and pepper him with kisses

okay but imagine pol finally realizing he's in love with bruno and they have The Talk™. they fell asleep together, pol running his hand through bruno's hair, watching as he slowly falls asleep.

bruno wakes up alone, but he can hear pol having a conversation with his dad. when bruno steps into the kitchen pol looking at him with soft eyes and comes over to say good morning and to caress his cheeks briefly. bruno is stunned.

then pol's dad tells him to sit down and have breakfast together.

in conclusion in-love-pol will be the softest, gentlest most affectionate person ever once he realizes what bruno actually means to him. i mean, did we see how in the fast-forward part pol behaved? he can't stop touching bruno, always looking at him with a loving gaze, immediately noticing the change in his mood, always paying attention where his brunete is

David did an interview today where he was asked if he’s going to be in s2 and he just said that he hasn’t been contacted yet.. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens, but all this mystery scares me a little 😞

I honestly feel sorry for David; I know other things might've happened behind the scenes, but Hector was very unprofessional and quite frankly cruel with what he said. Maybe David is uncommitted, but he he didn't direct any public hate to anyone on Merli, whereas Hector straight up said he won't miss David. I honestly think Hector's only bitter because David chose to leave; they were fine before all of this.

i just commented this!!! they did seem fine before all the spin-off /hence this pic/ so i think its kinda obv that the spin-off was what caused this drama.

i don’t know the exact reason why david left the first time (there are lots of versions) but like i said, with how merli sapere aude was written i can understand why david left this second time; you can’t promise the public “brunol and somewhat an insight of his life” and just focus on pol. literally made bruno look like he wasn’t even part of the spin-off sometimes jsjdjss

but yeah!!! i agree with you i think hector said this now because david left them and he is just mad at him ,,, but i guess that’s what you get for wanting to overuse a show this much, you get a pretty bad written plot and actors don’t like it 🤷🏻‍♀️

just read up on that interview where it was said that Bruno possibly won’t be present in Season 2 of Merlí: Sapere Aude and that’s so sick and twisted? Héctor finally has the chance to give Brunol the development and story we’ve ALL been craving for... he has the space to do that... and nothing? not even asking for an easy fix-up of their friendship or whatever in Season 2 but like mayhaps SHOW us Bruno moving on forreal and Pol slowly regretting what he said and then realizing he misses Bruno but Bruno doesn’t wanna hear it... like I get that maybe they wanna create this whole narrative of Pol living his own life and Bruno living his own life as well so they can grow and develop as separate people and finally click but why does that automatically has to mean Bruno’s development will be off-screen???? how you gonna deprive us of juicy angsty Brunol content where Pol’s finally the one who’s gonna do the chasing??? how you gonna promote Brunol so boldly the first season and then just say oops... 95% of the people watching are doing it to see how Brunol develops... literally worms for brains???????? actors are interested, you got a whole season and a fanbase backing the ship but you just decide to make Bruno disappear???? for what??? a whole ass clown this story has been going on for 5 years on and off... I think we deserve better... literally pissed me off

Given the way the first season of Sapere Aude finished, with Pol and Bruno not being on good terms, what are your thoughts on why Bruno won't be in Season 2?

Hi nonnie :) I think someone mentioned that in the book it says that Pol and Bruno spent some years without seeing each other. I haven’t finished reading it so I can’t confirm that. But, if it’s the case that might be the reason. 

Hector said that for a long time he had wanted to do a university show and when they offered him the spin-off of merlí he accepted and took this opportunity to tell his story but with some changes as the main protagonist is Pol and he already has a happy ending. 

I guess he planned season 1 to include Bruno to keep merlí and brunol fans interested and then get rid of Bruno to explore Pol’s love life. I think that he intends to bring Bruno for the last episodes of season three to give brunol a happy ending. But, as a fan, I prefer the journey more than the destination and was excited to see how their friendship developed into a love story. Or especially I wanted to see Pol’s change from this is Bruno, my colleague as he presented Bruno to Rai to this is Bruno, my boyfriend.

I still think it’s bullshit the lack of Bruno because he could have had brunol without interacting for the whole season but still tell how both live different lives in the university.

And, sorry but Bruno’s friends were more interesting than Pol’s friends. I have zero interest in their storylines.

Anyway, about season two. I guess Bruno will wait for Pol to reach out and Pol will be busy with uni and with the new love interest to even remember his best friend who is still mourning the loss of his father.  That’s what I think or what I hope because if I see Pol checking his phone and ignoring a text message or missed call from Bruno I will stop watching it. Well, that’s if I watch it at all...

I prefer a storyline where both drift apart because they are too stubborn than having Bruno reaching out to Pol and for him to ignore him.
