hazbin hotel redesign part 2/?? (since i felt creative and the last one was received okay! lore below :3)

BACKGROUND: husk was a gambling addict when he was alive, surrounding himself with "hang in there" posters whenever situations got tough and being able to sneakily cheat in solitaire (which is why hes a cat lolzies) -now in hell, he made a living by becoming an overlord of the pride ring's casino motel, but then met alastor. the two got along, but its clearly toxic from how alastor treats the poor guy. husk stays by the radio demon's side nonetheless, the two becoming really bad business partners and 'friends'. (his soul isnt owned hurrah) -alastor drags him and nifty to the happy hotel, run by the dynamis angel charlie morningstar. he decides to roll with it, becoming an overlord sponsor and the hotel's bartender. 👍

DESIGN CHOICES: i wanted husk to look more like a bartender and a gambler, changing his attire and giving him an actual shirt :3 -his design originally wasnt that bad (surprise it wasn't made entirely by vivzie), but i felt like it was a little too cluttered and bland at the same time -i feel like he shouldn't be so skinny, considering he's supposed to be an alcoholic who loves cheap booze, so i fattened him up a bit :3 -his claw is supposed to act as a cork screw since he works at the hotel bar -i removed his wings, i just felt like they didnt fit his design or theme well (sorry wing lovers -made his color palette less red, adding in some gold n green -FUCK THE TOPHAT BRO LET HIS HAIR BREATHE -i didn't give him shoes despite him being an overlord n all, but its due to cats sweating through their feet and using their paws as a stealth advantage!!

CONCEPT SO FAR: -so, charlie goes to the seraphim and blabbers out her ideas, faithful in heaven being accepting and fully siding with her dream. but, approval's iffy, and it takes a while before heaven decides to go along with it (albeit they shit on her constantly for it). sent down with keekee, now her trusty book of sinner backgrounds and hotel embodiment/key, she gets to work on advertising her happy hotel!!! -first to arrive to the hotel is vedika (my vaggie rename), a fallen angel with the intent of guarding charlie and providing for the hotel itself. (not revealing she was an exterminator, and now these lesbians get SLOW BURN) -as they advertise, the infamous radio demon finds the idea of an angel wanting to redeem SINNERS entertaining, so he shows up and drags along husker and nifty to help around. (hes more evil here, me and my homies HATE alastor) -then they find a demon to bring along as the example/star of the redemption idea, angel dust (now more related to his mafia background, no more porn jokes guys11!!), and attempting to get him clean so heaven doesnt make fun of charlie as much feel free to critique me! im not the brightest in character design, so it'd be helpful to get any tips and tricks with my design! be nice tho, im just a gyal might do another 😋(is it obvious i had a warrior cats phase)

past:

back before being picked up by tessa L used to work in child development and mostly in schools with kids around 3-10. she worked as like a teachers assistant and made sure all the kids were ‘up to date’

she got disassembled improperly so tessa was able to find her and pick her up. she arrived when J and N were working but hadn’t met V or cyn. after a few years of working she became almost like a big sister to N and cyn too ig. girly also had a massive crush on J (who wouldn’t? /hj)

one day she came to grab cyn from the basement but found everything that she had been planning, cyn cut her voice box so L couldn’t tell anyone and sent her on her way. L now mute just kinda sat there waiting for whatever cyn had planned. something she deeply regretted doing and blames herself for everything that happened going forward. and i mean everything

more present/on copper-9 now:

she was squad members with N, V, and J. L was still mute which in favor made her really good at killing WD. and she tired to help N meet the quota whenever she could.

J’s and L’s relationship was.. weird now. without tessa J kinda just needed to fill the void and found L perfect to do so because she’d be more willing then anyone. L agreed because who wouldn’t want to get with their crush?

J eventually tried to kill L after she broke company policy or sm. L did die but tripped back online a little later. she crawled into the colony and kinda turned into an eldritch horror monster- not fully because J did hit her with that offline chip she gave N in the first episode.

thad actually past by L ripping up a few WD for parts to repair herself. and being the lovable dumb idiot he is decided to help her because he felt bad.

a while later thad decided to have L now renamed Lexi more into the colony because she could be trusted and it might do her some good. so that’s what Lexi does

she’s also not mute anymore!!! she got fixed! now she won’t shut up

also got a make over, new hair and new eye color. to help blend in and to make her actually live a normal life instead of being forced to kill.

actual present time when the show takes place:

Lexi lived in the colony for a few years and had fully adjusted and only doll and thad know she’s a MD and what happened. she likes doll (because this is oc x cannon. i love them and i don’t care) decided to actually have a good and healthy relationship with her while also being absolute besties with thad.

uzi let’s MD in, she freaks out because she doesn’t want J in here- or V, it just hurt to see N tho. they left she was chill. doll killed people Lexi was kinda trying to not let that happen, but is still on dolls side with all of this.

Lexi goes with doll to get the patch. sees ‘tessa’ and everyone else before absolutely booking it with doll because she knows that’s not tessa. doll dies. cried. then went to help uzi and all that to defeat tessa. beat up J which was really fun for her. and now Lexi could actually reunite with N and V because she doesn’t have to hide and worry J might kill her again.

V kinda hates her but N is super happy. she now clings to thad kinda everywhere like he’s her emotional support dog- she super traumatized at this point so she just needs someone

World building and story stuff below

The continent is currently unnamed. The story will primarily revolve around 2 countries, Hendeyrn and Royumec (both may be renamed).

Aelix(might be renamed), the lord, is the princess of Hendeyrn. Hendeyrn gets invaded by The Flock, a supposed resistance group that aims to give power back to the people. The Flock kills Aelix's Father and older brother, Thades(name might be changed)*, leaving only her and her little sister, Lucille. Aelix goes on a quest of revenge to destroy the Flock, leaving Lucille to act as queen at the young age of 16. girl should be gossiping with her friends </3.

Over time, Aelix notices that Hendeyrn's citizens are mostly not having the best time and takes mental note of this. Several characters notice that a few of The Flock's forces are Automatons, which are primarily produced in Royumec. Klara, a merchant and playable dark mage, confirms that these models are made from parts her company has supplied directly to the Royumec Military. The Flock is figured out to be the Royumec Military in disguise trying to invade Hendeyrn for precious metals and gemstones.

Soon, there is a route split and Aelix has to decide between continuing the quest for revenge or Joining the conquest. "Wait what about the citizens you mentioned earlier!" Things only get slightly better. ":(" Yeah. If only there was a route that acknowledged the flaws of both kingdoms and actually prioritised the people to make life better for everyone.

Oh wait there is! Aelix has the option to start a revolution that focuses on the citizens in ng+! this is not a golden route tho as the most units leave in this one and have to be killed. also the game is much harder and money becomes more limited. Probably also more chapters. have fun!

The Avatar only has minor relevance to the story. Still has supports with other characters and can also romance a few. Cool Parent Energy.

*you don't find this out unless you're on the revolution route but there is one paralogue that won't have community made units. That paralogue has Thades and the guy that revived** him.

I also wanna do something with the fact that she's on a 24/7 possessed state by a Creator which would... Sorta virtually make her one whilst still being able to directly interact with the UTMV

I've also been trying to work on writing the way Ink and Io met hhhh (I have it planned I just gotta write it down. I do have a part of it done tho)

I might also recycle some stuff from non-UTMV OCs (especially Io's non-UTMV counterpart I might eventually talk about if I get confident)

I also have planned out the backstory for Corvid, now renamed to Aurum (fun fact: the full name is Aurum Dark'ness Dementia Ravenway. I remembered My Immortal exists and I could not hold back from stealing that long ssa name. Fun fact 2: Aurum is the reason gold's chemistry symbol thingy is 'Au'. Sound familiar? AUs!)

As a bonus I have lost an art contest recently and what a more clever way to deal with it than THROWING IT AT IO

it's been like a year, so i should probably do another one of these 🫠 progress is slow but....certainly happening. i've been excited to write for this project for the first time in months and some of her rough edges are starting to smooth out which is very 😈 to me. ik i kinda abandoned my #priswritesmordlust tag but dw, she'll probably be back in a few weeks.

don't fucking hate me but i restarted the draft...it's not what it sounds like pls believe me. i got up to a little over 54k but since i write out of order so many things were inconsistent or driving me nuts because i knew how to make them better, but wasn't letting myself backtrack so i finally gave in.

don't worry tho !! i'm 24k into my current draft and it's already far better than the original in a lot of ways

hiiiiii its been a second but a lot has happened. (sad Exie picture above not related) I went to pax east (~˘▾˘)~ !!! I got to see a lot of cool games and meet up with my team irl for the first time. Also, I got to eat a lot of good food my favs being falafel tacos and butternut squash ravioli :3 HOWEVER, on day 2 I got my purse stolen (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) which made me want to kill myself especially since I was extremely worried about flying home but tbh after getting the panicking out of the way I was in a pretty good mood. And now I'm home thank god.

Here at the top is a new character named Mimi! Scarlet's gf and a powerful wizard. Her name used to be Floria but I decided to rename her after someone really special to me. Mimi is probably one of my more developed characters for reasons I wont spoil but I look forward to showing her off more.

Next we have a slight redesign of Blanc, Exie's brother. I may have to redesign him one more time but I like the direction his outfit is going. He might need some modernizing so he doesn't look like such a jester （´﹏｀;）which actually is maybe not a bad thing but idk I'll let it sit in my brain a little...

Exie Quest has officially begun development!!! I am working with some coders from Menthasia (because I am not a great coder) and they have already completed the skill tree system!!! Also they are very awesome guys

oh man, you into dmc too?! you even did a shit ton of achievements too. i'm looking forward to see if you have any mpreg/omegaverse head-cannons about the series. i always thought maybe dante should get pregnant with twins lol.

my favorite games in the series are dmc1 and dmc3 (dmc4 is okay i like nero but it's flawed in some areas gameplay-wise). i'm a huge fan of dmc, and i just get easily obsessed with these dysfunctional idiots lol. although the sparda bloodline isn't the most dysfunctional and fucked up family i've been obsessed with, that title rightfully belongs to the original dysfunctional family that i've been in love with since my childhood the Mishima clan from Tekken (Jin is one of my first ever crushes lol).

Oh yeah! I even named my cat after Dante (he's orange). Got into it initially around 2014 or 2015? It was sometime after the reboot was out, but not too long before 4 SE released.

I saw a review of the reboot (which included some footage of DMC1) and was like. Oh yeah. That series looks cool. I'd probably like that. Found the HD collection for PS3 at my local GameStop for like ten bucks and tore through all three games (yes, even 2) in like a week. Probably snagged the reboot on a Steam sale for cheap shortly after. Sadly dropped off after that until about a month ago when I finally got back around to 4 and played 5 for the first time (currently replaying 3 and 2, gotta get around to 1 soon). That's probably why it hasn't come up before now (I was intentionally avoiding the fandom for years because I didn't want spoilers for DMC5)

I'd say my rank order goes DMC3 = DMC5 > DMC1 > DMC4 = DmC and then DMC2 is in hell. Love 3 and 5 because I think they have the strongest gameplay and the strongest storytelling. DMC1 is just a good time. DMC4 is very fun and Nero is a silly lil guy, but the lack of development time really shows. Reboot is really solid as a game, though since I've played it so much I do wonder if there might have been some development issues as well. I think if they'd just decided to make it a spinoff (and rename the main characters) instead of a reboot then it wouldn't have gotten half the hate it wound up getting. I'm replaying 2 now just to see if it's more redeemable than I remember, but it deserves every bit of shit I gave it ten years ago lol. Though I will say I never bothered with Lucia's campaign before, and she's much more bearable to play compared to Dante. Wish they'd bring her back for an actually good entry

Dante and Vergil's dysfunctional AF relationship is definitely the biggest draw for me too! I've been talking people's ears off about it for like a month straight now. The moment that broke me and made me like Vergil is the bit at the end of DMC3 where he does that little smile after Dante reminds him of how they used to yell "jackpot!" all the time. What a dumbass, pretending like he doesn't love his little bro (then why do you say jackpot when you combo in 5 hmm hmmm HMMM!?)

As for omegaverse ideas, I haven't really developed that many of my own. I think all the Sparda boys should be omegas tho. But if one must be an alpha I think it's Vergil, just because I think it would be very amusing if part of his complex was due to not wanting his omega twin to be stronger than him (and then getting his shit kicked in by his omega son at the end of 5). We could get into some good toxic masculinity (alphalinity?) territory there. And uhhhh Kyrie should get Nero pregnant. That's basically as far as I've gotten on my own

I have been reading a LOT of fanfic though and people do come up with some interesting stuff I'd probably use. Like blood drinking being an explicit part of the dynamic/ritual of mating/pregnancy process, the hardcore possessiveness, and power hierarchy stuff. Good shit

i do have some ocs! ive been working on them on and off since high school and i still dont have an overarching story or anything for them but i'll go over the basics if anyone's interested o.o

the basic premise is a group of friends who start a band called good question, but ive always considered the main couple of this universe to be renee and pj (who i just renamed a minute ago dont worry abt it) even tho they aren't really in the band. the band is made up of alysha on lead guitar and vocals, juan on drums, and anis on bass, with meg as a roadie and sati as their social media manager (and also regular manager). calypso is the newest addition to the group, they're the youngest and im not entirely sure how they'll fit in but i think they're just gonna be a younger college student or something. ive sketched and drawn everyone in the group, some more than others, but i'm still really working on their designs and physical & personality traits and backgrounds and all that. i know that pj likes anime and sati & anis are exes and alysha is an amputee and renee is jewish and all kinds of stuff but i haven't really fleshed them out as much as i want to eventually. lmk if ur interested in hearing more abt them bc it would definitely encourage me to work on them more hehe

i dont really remember what my first internet media was, but i feel like it mostly started with youtube and stuff like charlie the unicorn. my first fandoms were book series, the hunger games and hp and the mortal instruments and all that, and im absolutely not into most of it anymore except the hunger games i still think they're brilliant

Using post writing as an excuse to not sleep but I'm pondering some large story changes.

- axing haelle and likely Ren, they're kinda deadweights narratively and I think it's tighter for Aran to just be on his own, now with just 3 adult kids off on their own (Damian, Dom, bellum) who he's trying to help from going down bad paths fruitlessly

-Dom, Oliver and James have long been out of protagonist realm but Oliver and Dom now are probably gonna be more side antagonists thru Lynne who have some bg arcs around their trauma with her and the family drama Tm. I'm probably gonna scrap a lot of what I originally had with them all but their characters will stay around bc I like them and ik I can make use of them.

- very tempted to rename demons bc being called demons has so little relevance to them other than 14 yr old writing choices 😭 it'd break the story title but I've only kept the title as is for so long out of fondness, I'd rather come up with something better for it when I'm ready to make it in some form. This is so 50/50 but I kind of like chimeras for them thematically and for the form changing. Undecided, public pondering moments rn. + chimeric is a fun descriptive word. Also demons / high daemons so I'd want to differentiate their naming more. I might mesh up all 3 somehow will update lol

so your PTs are missing from your sims’ family trees? how to fix with simPE!

DISCLAIMER: i figured this out myself messing around with simPE and i’ve only been playing around with this programme for a few months so i’m not fantastic with it... but this is how i fixed my PTs and alien sims when i accidentally opened my hood with no cc.and therefore no multiPT mod... 

first. backup your hood!! back ! that! shit ! up!!!! we will call this backup 1. i backup my hood by right clicking and selecting the winrar option ‘add to N006.rar′ and rename to the date usually but this time. fixPTtutorial. no excuses for not backing up! 

now that you’ve backed up let’s get into it!

things you need: sims 2 (duh), hood checker, simPE, a bit of patience!

!! you need to run hood checker first and allow it to delete the broken family ties otherwise simPE will get an error when you try to open your alien sims’ family ties !!

when i broke my PTs i ‘fixed’ it in a way where i just removed the borked relationship using hood checker and then manually removed a broken memory from the two sims who had been abducted.. they basically had a memory like ‘met unknown sim’ and it kept showing up in hood checker like ‘sim does not exist’ but hood checker couldn’t/wouldn’t delete it. so probably do that first.. it should be somewhere close to the abduction memory. just open the sim’s description, select more>open memories, and slowly scroll through until you find the broken memory and remove it. commit the change.

my original process for this was a little more fiddly because i didn’t know of this trick pointed out to me by curiousb and found by mootilda here that makes it so simPE should show the multiPT’s names and portraits. if you follow this then you can skip to ‘part 2′ 

Part 0

find your multiPT files in your downloads and COPY them (not move) from downloads into your hood’s ‘characters’ folder. for me that’s sims 2>N006>Characters. this will make it so that simPE can show the names of the PTs and if portraits are generated it can also display portraits

look at my guys all hanging out.. you do want to leave them in the downloads folder so that they’ll be added as PTs to any new hoods created but you’ll also have to copy and paste them into all your hoods’ characters folders if you want to see their info in simPE... now you can skip forward to Part 2 because you don’t need to do the step where you identify each PT (unless their portraits don’t show in simPE) it could still be beneficial to read through Part 1 because i don’t go into as much detail in Part 2 on how to add the family ties but you won’t have to do the STEPS in Part 1

Part 1

the multiPT mod PTs are listed in simPE as ‘unknown’ which makes it hard to figure out which is which. for me apollo (born after the cc-less game disaster) had the same PT as ujin and arina so i could easily just add them to this PT’s family tree. for my other alien sim i just guessed and added her to a random PT because i don’t even remember who her PT is lmao.

if you don’t have any sims born since the family tree break/you don’t want to just add them to random PTs like i did with eunji you’re gonna have to do a trial run. (please backup your hood before u start, ive already warned u!!!!) by simply adding one sim to each of the PT’s family trees, opening your game and checking the family tree to see the portrait and noting down which PT you linked to which sim. this will probably be quicker if the test sims are all from the same household. i also think it is best to choose non alien sims as test sims just so they can stay on the family tree until you’re fully finished fixing your aliens!

NOW adding a family tie is relatively simple. open the PT’s family ties. from the dropdown menu at the top make sure its set to ‘[all households]’ and scroll down until you find the party of unknowns hanging out with toddler new year (if they’re located in the same place as mine...)

next locate your test sims on the left (i think this will be easier if you DONT use your aliens because that way when you’re adding the correct family ties you won’t have to remove the test sims until you’re sure you’ve got all the right PTs) right click on them and click on ‘add [sims name]’ (my simPE cuts this pop up off but i assume the end is like to family or something..) the default relationship will be sibling

for the sake of the test sims it doesn’t really matter what the relationship is set to because we just want them to show up on the family tree. hit commit in the bottom right and repeat for all your PTs (i’m just doing 3 here because my other PTs already have their family ties fixed.) commit any changes and close simPE make sure you save the hood before you close/as you close

!! now backup your hood AGAIN (this is backup 2) !! with the PT family ties edited but don’t replace backup 1. this secondary backup is just so you can safely open your game with no cc so it’ll load quicker. we’ll be restoring this backup immediately after we check the family trees in game.

you can now remove most of your cc from your downloads but make sure your multiPT mods are still in there! all of them! i have a few folders i always leave in my downloads and my multiPT mod is in one of these. i learnt my lesson! they might look something like this:

launch your game and see how quickly it loads w/ no cc and wonder why you subject yourself to a 45 minute load time when things could be so much quicker... and now we can see which PT is which! and also that hilariously one of my PTs is called ‘Pollination Last Name’ lmao??? and we can laugh at how silly my sims look without cc. ALSO i was confused why there were 5 ‘unknown’ sims in my hood but the unknown sim i added to frankie’s family tree didn’t show anything in game so i’m still non the wiser for what that unknown file is (also it’s gone from the family ties menu now and crashes frankie’s family tree so i’m ASSUMING it’s a remote control car cc that i’ve since deleted.. luckily i backed up my game so it doesn’t matter). but moving on

!! RESTORE back up 2 !! so the cc-less hell you just created is gone but you still have the family ties we just created

Part 2

open simPE and you can start adding your actual alien sims to the right PT’s family tree the same way you added the test sims. (select the PTs family ties, locate the alien sim on the left, right click and add to family tree) but this time choosing child ! this will add PT as the alien sim’s Parent B.. which since i don’t have any alien sims that need fixing right now just gives my test sims two parent bs

once you’ve added all your alien sims to the correct family trees you can remove the test sims. you’ll need to do this on both the PT’s family tree AND the test sim’s family tree to properly remove the relationship! 

commit all changes and save your hood! the last step is just a little bit of garnish if u like. i don’t think it’s necessary and what we’ve done up until now should fix the family tree with no issues. so this can be Optional.

Part 3

when an alien sim is born the game by default sets the PT to ‘know’ the parent sim and has the child sim set to ‘family’ like this (ALSO when i was looking at an old backup of my hood before i borked my PTs.. the PTs get memories of their child too like my PT had a memory of ujin being an over achiever in school......... it’s so sweet...... i’m not fixing that shit tho i don’t have the patience) 

to do this correctly for each PT select their family ties so you can see which parents and children you need to add relation to. then right click on the PT on the left and choose ‘open sim description’ i assume it’s description,, again,, simPE is cutting off this menu

choose ‘relations’ select the family of the sims you want to add and make sure ‘not related’ is ticked to have the sims show up. for this test we need to add saeed as ‘known’ since he’s the parent and georgia as ‘family’ since she’s the child

this is super easy! just right click on the sim and choose ‘add relation to’ 

the default relation settings need to be changed however. for the child i had to change spouses to parent. untick known and only tick family on both boxes and change not defined to child. i’m not sure why it said spouses.. idk if i accidentally changed that from the default before i took the screenshot or if simPE was just weird because they have family ties...

for the parent the default settings should be absolutely fine 

when you’ve finished this for one PT go back to the family ties, locate the next PT and open their sim description by right clicking and selecting ‘open sim description’. it’s a bit of a convoluted way to open the sim description but it’s the only way i’ve found to ensure you’re opening the CORRECT PT’s sim description. 

commit your changes and save! close simPE and your PT and alien childrens’ family ties should be fixed! if all goes to shit for whatever reason restore backup 1 and start again...

as i said at the start i’m new to using simPE but if you have any questions about this i will try my best to help! so don’t hesitate to ask. i hope this is helpful and you can fix your family trees with confidence!

1. Which of your characters have some romantic chemistry?

krispin and cassie since they’re half the reason as to why I wrote this story. awkward-meeting, slow burn, strangers to friends to best friends to lovers. brief (two/three years) separation. they love, like, support, and admire each other for who they are. they have lots of intimate (well, not physically of course) moments as much as casual ones.

i think as an aro-ace, i did a decent job of portraying their feelings and stuff.

and i guess chantelle and her bf, who i won’t speak on much, but i will say they have things going on. they’re pretty happy together even though they started out as a fling.

2. Which of your characters do you think readers will ship?

i think i’d be thrilled if ppl go hog over M/M or F/F ships. for M/M, i think zubari/krispin would be the top interracial ship. i dig them too, tbh. soft boys, who care about each other and aren’t scared to express it.

since i’m on the second draft where i made new OCs, i’d say cassie/nijiko and cassie/tegan would be top-tier too. definitely, tons of possibilities for slash ships.

it also means admitting some readers might ship a certain P.O.S with any of them. . . 😐😐😐

3. Which of your characters are slated to be an endgame relationship?

obviously, it’s cassie and krispin, even though it takes tons of chapters to get there. (I am serious, it takes years in the story itself.)

4. Are there any established relationships in your WIP? If so, how did they meet?

in the middle of the story, there’s Chantelle and her bf. let’s just say they met thanks to a mutual friend. or rather, the bf’s cousin, Bryson.

5. What’s your dream love confession scene between your characters?

just a quiet moment of admitting how they feel (yes, i already wrote this, it’s a dream come true really) while they’re alone together. no kissing, just some gazes and saying the truth they’ve hidden in their heart for very long.

Epilepsy Anon here, I was wondering if you would like information on what's going on in a person's head/body before/during/after.

That way you sort of have a bunch of information about epileptic seizures so you could pick what works with shadow kit and what doesn't.

(Also, what are your thoughts on cats using the very first leader's of each Clan's names? I always thought it was taboo and that's the reason why Shadowsight gets played, hurt, ect. Like it's not Starclan themselves who are doing it, but also it is. Like the who Starclan place is sort of alive, and it sometimes does things the spirits that reside there don't notice.)

as for leader names:

i don't personally care. sky- is one of my favourite prefixes, which is cheating, but windflight was in bluestar's prophecy.

so canonically, i'm fine with it. as for my own headcanons...

i think it'd be taboo to name a cat the same as the clan, but when shadowkit was born, dovewing didn't intend to go to shadowclan, so i don't think the elders would make her change his name.

well, okay: it depends. the elders at that time were oakfur and ratscar, and elders in shadowclan are in charge of any renaming that needs to be done (for accepting loners, usually), and i can't see either of them feeling strongly about the matter.

windclan would never let a kit be named windkit within their borders, and i can see them having...unease with cats being named wind-, outside, but no control.

thunderclan similarly would never name a kit thunderkit, but they'd be okay with another clan using it.

riverclan would probably think it was funny if a cat was named riverkit. they'd be 100% okay with it. riverclan dgaf what you name a cat.

skyclan would 100% freely and willingly name a kit skykit. they'd be more upset about another clan naming a cat skykit, i think.

and shadowclan is...complicated. i think they would never name a kit shadowkit, but i don't think they'd generally mind accepting a kit named shadowkit. it depends on the elders: some might want to rename a shadowkit to shadekit.

it's also relevant that i ignore dotc for the clans' beliefs about their origins. so i don't: the first leader of riverclan is river, but that's...the literal river. the first real leader of riverclan is dawn, river's eldest daughter.

the other clans don't have as established origins, but they're not dotc stories. sorry. i hadn't read dotc when i was writing it. also dotc is a great arc, i adore it, but i kind of...don't want to be constrained by it? i want to be able to write my own folklore without worry about what grey wing and so forth were doing.

actually, that's a broader point: dotc is fantastic as an arc but a terrible warriors origin story. but that's off topic.

and in mml (meow meow language), i don't think there's a very good distinction between thunder (thunderclan) and thunder (weather) and so on.

like the word for river and the word for riverclan is the same. river (riverclan) is treated differently, grammatically, as it's a person (group of people), not a place, but it's the same root word.

so like, thunder is already a murky word.

but that's so deep into something that doesn't impact my decisions about cat names, i'm just rambling on because i didn't cut myself off.

CLAYMORE USERS ARE JUST ASKKSKEKKSKSIDIDIDIJ people say they're too slow or feel too heavy but imo they're just really cool. their playstyles are all very cool and unique?

eula's is very fast and elegant for a claymore user, beidou ABSORBS damage and multiples it when she deals it out, chongyun makes all your attacks cryo which is a good combo if u have a cryo dps or he's ur dps, diluc is pretty good at applying pyro, noelle is a shield/healer (tho i don't like her) and xinyan & razor, actually eula too, are physical dps who excel at dealing damage without relying on elemental reactions. idk they're all just so cool???

Since you asked me something similar for enneagrams, how would you order the four primaries and secondaries from most to least interesting for you to write/read about

I think I should start with a disclaimer that when it comes to reading about a character, a good writer could make me love them even if they wouldn't look like my type and viceversa. And also a second disclaimer that I can easily change my mind and on another day, this answer might have looked different. So, here is how I would order them right now, keeping in mind what I like to write:

Primaries

1. Snake - I don't think it should come as a surprise to anyone. It's my primary, I am very comfortable with it and I understand Snakes in a way I'll probably never will the others. So ofc I find it easy and enjoyable to write Snake characters: Juliet, Rafael, Elettra, Pandora-now-renamed-Mira. They are the main OCs who I can think of right now -I also have OCs from currently abandoned projects that I have yet to sort but I am sure I will find Snakes there too- and I get such a kick out of writing their plots especially since they are so very different from the other: Juliet is slightly immature in some ways, Pandora/Mira has just unburned, Elettra is trying not to burn herself and Rafael is wearing so many models his Snake is almost a dirty secret for him.

2. Bird - I debated between Bird and Lion, but my own Bird model won. Plus I find Intuitive primaries hard to write sns while I find the systems Birds build very interesting and easy to understand. Only two of my OCs - Elodie and Christine- are Bird primaries but I find both their POVs flow the easiest in their respective WIPs. Also, the number of OCs that model this primary is also telling: Nefele (probably the only reason why she's not a mess LOL), Elettra (when I will get to write her in book 2) and probably Rafael bc this guy models everything.

3. Lion - I like Lions, I truly do, but sometimes I can't quite click with them enough. It's especially telling when writing because two of mine are burned - Laura, Nefele- while the third -Angelina- doesn't get that much POV (yet?). Buut I love the intensity this primary brings to a narrative and how Lion models can shape a character and others' perception of them: Rafael and Pandora/Mira both have/had healthy and not-so-healthy Lion models that made people misjudge them.

4. Badger - I think the fact that none of my main OCs are Badgers justifies their place here. Tho, looking back to some old notes, I think an older OC I really loved might be a Double Badger so there is hope yet. Anyway, I think that the problem for me is that I get this primary in a way because we are both Loyalists. But Badgers' approach to people vs Snakes' is mind-boggling to me. The whole "caring about everyone until they give you a reason not to" is...not a POV I could write and not be exhausted even if I admire the hell out of people who think like this.

Secondaries

1. Snake - Yeah, I am actually surprised about this one, but the numbers don't lie: Elettra, Elodie, Laura, Juliet are all Snake secondaries. Laura and Juliet may be my favourites because they are trouble-making Snakes that love wrecking havoc. Elodie and Elettra are more of a chameleon variety that uses their secondary to blend in and 'strike' when you least expect them. Also Pandora/Mira has a very good Snake secondary model that she really loves. So yeah, I have a blast writing these guys xD

2. Lion - I think it's a bit more therapeutic for me, a burned Lion, to read than write about this secondary, but nonetheless I still love writing it: Pandora/Mira, Rafael and Angelina are all Lions and unsurprisingly the first two have a lot of narrative weight in their verses. Just like with the Snake primary, this is easy for me to understand but sometimes hard to write bc of my burning. Hence it being #2.

3. Bird - It's the one secondary I can't model, so I admire the hell out of genuine Bird secondaries. Probably why Nefele ended up as one LOL. And why she's probably the only OC I have who is a genuine Bird secondary -Rafael models it masterfully and so do Pandora/Mira and Juliet but not very well. What can I say, there is something very magnetic about characters whose MO I could never use.

4. Badger - Um, I think my own model may be at fault here, because despite its usefulness it can feel like a collar sometimes and fiction is a way to escape it. Poor Christine is my only Badger secondary and as I said I find her very easy to write about, but it's not enough. I may get Badgers' MO - I admire it- but I am also not interested in exploring it in fiction.
