TOTAL: 89 deaths | 84 perpetrators ≈ average of 2 deaths per play

AJ: 30 | 21 Tom: 29 | 18 Sam: 18 | 26 Luke: 12 | 19 (when corrected for the number of deaths in plays he was actually part of, it is around 16 | 25)

overall, AJ dies most often (closely followed by Tom), while Sam is the deadliest member (closely followed by Luke). however, the numbers are skewed by, for example, AJ dying a bunch in Inside the Mysterious Cube, and Sam killing a bunch in Excited Chinchilla/Leftenmost Window/Mystery Of The Midnight Circus

important to note:

some of these are ambiguous and open to different interpretations, so feel free to suggest any changes!

only includes deaths that occur during the timeframe of the play – so no Marie-Claire, troll mother, etc.

only characters that have been depicted onstage at least once

most non-explicit deaths are counted as long as the character is in a reasonably fatal position and not suggested to be alive later

I'm gonna be joining Art Fight this year, so I boosted Cybernetic/ZA Emmet's model sheet ^^ He's honestly one of my favourite AUs based on concept but I just don't draw him much. Vivianite is also here, I should also probably draw him more.

lune was a little shit, he's very rebellious now but he was even more rebellious when he was a teenager lmfao

he would CONSTANTLY get into fights, anyone that pissed him off he did not hesitate to attack

his relationship with his parents was already bad but it quickly deteriorated at this point in time

he was relatively popular in school but uh, everyone stayed away from him or tried to be on his good side because... well yk! didn't wanna get attacked..?

also people thought he was annoying but hey at least he was good looking!

he did not know he was popular btw. like at all, no idea, still doesn't know

his grades were like... okay, not great, but not bad, and he would skip class a lot... dumbass

his nails were constantly painted different colours bc cecilia would do them often, he was also never seen without a bracelet on his right wrist

huge troublemaker (some things never change!)

he hasn't really changed since then lmao

cecilia:

she was a bit more reserved back in highschool, still nice and friendly but she had a hard time approaching others because she was nervous (and others found her a bit intimidating cause she didn't smile much) ((and she's related to lune and that guy was known for being crazy))

her and lune were known as "those rich twins"

was constantly stressing over lune because of how much he got in trouble it's not like their parents would do anything about it.

kept her hair long and undyed! she liked doing different things with her hair and would try out diffy styles a lot of the time

she liked having long hair, and randomly cut it off impulsively lmfao (3 am on a school night, she couldn't sleep and was like ok why not)

good student, wasn't always at school but she was doing well

hated going to school, couldn't tell you why, just hated it

she was really awkward as a teen, but she was trying her best

always had bracelets on, if you saw her she had a bunch on her left hand, and then just one on her right.

you took it upon yourself to cut his hair because it was REALLY long when you first met him, he likes having his hair long though, mourned the loss of his two front strands (he will be growing them back.)

he didn't talk to you for a few days after you cut his hair for the first time, wasn't your fault... you accidentally cut off one of the front strands and had to cut the other off to make it even

fun fact about him, his eyes glow in the dark, it can be scary at times.

oh and his ears are expressive, dunno how that works but it does! and he also never goes a day without wearing earrings! he prefers the ones he came with but doesn't mind wearing whatever as long as he has earrings haha

now for the updated relationship chart! (this whole post has been about them from a few years ago but this is their current relationships with each other!)

ROWAN -> LUNE: he’s a weirdo but i’m glad we’re friends, i can handle his craziness more than most people… probably, i’d say he’s like a brother to me, but at the same time i’d probably lose my mind if he was my brother. no idea how cecilia does it

LUNE -> ROWAN: somehow he’s gotten used to me, he’s not so bad, i guess i’d call him a friend

LUNE -> CECILIA: my little sister <3 we are best buddies, i’d do anything for her, she was there with me in our hardest moments, i wouldn’t let anyone hurt her, and she wouldn’t let anyone hurt me, one of the only people i’ll listen to lmao (she’s kinda scary when she’s mad at me but it’s also kinda funny?) i like bothering her but she might kill me one day though. she hides herself a lot, i don’t know why, it’s always been like this. i wonder if it’s because of me..?

CECILIA -> LUNE: dawg you’re like two minutes older than me (won’t deny the best buddies comment) he’s a really good brother though… but tough to deal with, he’s always causing some sort of trouble, but uh, well. anyway, we’re basically best friends… his words, not mine (she’s lying) he’s crazy but he’s not a bad person..? <- would defend him with her life. he’s an interesting fella that’s for sure, i’ve known him my whole life but there’s always something new with him lmfao. sometimes he comes into my room to knock something over and then he leaves, what an odd guy.

CECILIA -> NOX: he’s pretty sweet (??????) we’re really great friends! i didn't think we would become such good friends tbh, he didn't seem to be the social type, and i'm not very social either haha... we're pretty similar i think! i can't remember who approached who first but that's fine. also, this guy has one of the worst damn sleep schedules known to man, i worry for that man. also, him and lune hate each other, no idea why.

CECILIA -> CASSIAN: oh! cass is a childhood friend! we met at some event, he’s changed a lot since then, but i guess we’re more alike now? he doesn’t come out of his house much anymore, but we still text often. sometimes i see him online really late... bro... please get some sleep.... anyway, i never got to know what happened with him, and he doesn't like talking about it either, i won't pry though, because i understand.

CASSIAN -> LUNE: he’s scary, but i guess he’s not that bad..? i talk to him too, we’re not the closest, but he’s still a friend, i text him sometimes, he’s crazier than before, he was fun to hang out with when we were young, not that i don't like him anymore, he's definitely... special

thinking about what it must have been like for jj and her family after her sister's suicide. living in a small town (a population of 2136 in 2010) where everyone knows everyone. possibly quite religious. the way everyone would look at them. the way everyone would look at her. the way she can never go back, because they'll always look at her like that. and maybe that's why she keeps it a secret from the team for so long—she spent so much time with everybody knowing, once she's somewhere else, she wants nobody to know.

SPOILERS FOR THE MOST RECENT ARCANE EPISODES

I am absolutely devastated and I am going to gut Ambessa and pull her entrails out through her navel, however I’m here to discuss not really the death of Isha but the lack of character for her.

This isn’t to say she’s a bad character, or anything like that. I fucking adore Isha and she’s one of my favourites, but there was so much more I was hoping they’d add to her that they never did.

Isha is obviously a representation of powder. A wide eyed, curious yet cautious, thieving, building, sweet little girl. Through Isha, Jinx is able to not only care for her in a way she likely hasn’t since Vi, but also learn to love her inner child and come to terms with her past. It’s entirely parallel when Isha dies, using the power of the hextech orbs to kill Vander, and subsequently herself (or, the death of powder). But as much as I adore the symbolism, I was waiting for something that sets her apart from Powder. A piece of her backstory, a clashing personality trait, something that shows she’s more than just a plot piece. It’s never fully explained why she clung so desperately to Jinx, why she joined up with her and Sevika so readily, we can presume that Isha has a past of neglect or mistreatment but it’s never actually mentioned or even implied.

I was so incredibly upset by the death scene (in a: this writing is amazing and devastating type of upset) and I loved what they did with her but I would’ve been so much more invested than I was if there was more to her.

I need to go to bed but I was struck with a Percy Reed headcanon and I need to write it down lest I go insane. (The post ended up being pretty long so I put it under a cut)

Percy's aromantic. He's not aware of this, and honestly, he probably would have trouble accepting it if he was. This can partially be attributed to the fact that he deeply craves romance. But also he grew up in an extremely amatonormative environment and generally believes, because of this, that the most prominent relationship that someone can have in their life is a significant other and eventually spouse. He wants to be someone else's most important person, and believes that in order for that to happen, that relationship, by default, has to be romantic. This also works in the inverse, so when someone is very very important to him, more so than the rest of his friends, that relationship by default has to be romantic. It's also pretty apparent that he didn't have any super meaningful (and healthy) relationships before he died.

All of this combined is what led to his relationship with Diggory. He felt an attachment to them that felt deeper than how he'd felt with other friends in the past because it was actually substantial, so naturally assumed that his feelings for them were romantic. Additionally, he wanted to establish the relationship that he had with them as the most "important" relationship that they're in, because they were the only person that he felt truly saw him for who he was. In his eyes, he had to be their boyfriend because if he wasn't, they might develop a relationship with someone else that was closer than the one he had with them and then that would mean that the only person that he'd felt a deep connection with didn't actually care about him as much as he did about them, because they're his most important person, but he wouldn't have been theirs. Obviously, the best way to prevent this is by achieving boyfriend status.

Now, I'd like to restate that he's not aware of all this going on under the surface. He doesn't know that he thinks of relationships like this, it's pretty subconscious and he fully believes that his feelings for Diggory are romantic because he doesn't really have anything else to compare them to.

I don't understand why people say "Go read about Helena instead of Jason!" I really don't. If I'm in the mood for stories of a Gotham vigilante with resurrection themes and issues with Bruce as a failed parental figure I'm going to read about Jason and Cass.

Jason & Helena are…two Gotham vigilantes who are willing to kill. That’s uh…that’s about it. Helena gives us more mafia focused stories, and has not been dead for realsies or dealt with as much magical bullshit as these two.

Now, you know who Helena does parallel? Bruce motherfucking Wayne.

Came from wealthy Gotham families? Yep. At age eight, witnessed their parents’ murder? Specifically with guns? Yep. Voluntarily pursued martial arts training in their youths, outside Gotham, and then stepped up to be independent vigilantes as adults once they came home, financing it with their inherited wealth? Yep.

Have been members of the fucking Justice League? Yep. May take orders from team leaders (and be cranky about it) but have never actually been anyone’s sidekick? Yep.

Helena has more in common with Bruce than she does with Dick, let alone Jason. 

“Why focus on Jason when you could focus on Helena?” That’s like asking why I’m focusing on Jason instead of Bruce. "Willing to kill" and "refuses to kill (when in right mind)" are important traits to the characters personally, but they are not the be all end all of these characters, their stories, and themes.

Danse is french for dance, Chanson is french for song

-Operating out of the commonwealth, Chanson is one of the brotherhoods strongest and most loyal members, and most of his squad understand why.

-Originally from rivet city, Chanson and his wife Barbara had cut out a fairly average life for themselves as scavengers, selling whatever they could find in the marketplace for a meager profit. It was far from easy or comfortable, but it was enough to get by, and hopefully, one day, it would even be enough to support a family.

-But unknown to them, the problems of the commonwealth were slowly leaking into the capital, and soon rumors began to spread of horrific creatures coming to raid their homes.

-Like most wastelanders, Chanson had a rather skewed and bigoted view of mutants and ghouls, so naturally he took up with the other citizens of rivet city to make sure these "synthetic people" were found and dealt with accordingly.

-He didn't think that the fear and paranoia would turn people against each other so quickly, he didn't think that people would begin to suspect their neighbors and friends that they had known for years.

-He didn't think Barbara was suspicious at all, he had no idea why anyone would ever think that, but somehow, her head had ended up on the chopping block, and radical action had to be taken to ensure that rivet city was safe.

-Chanson had been wracked by grief, but mostly, anger. He couldn't blame the people for taking up arms, he was right along side them in thinking that a witch hunt was the perfect way in weeding out an unknown threat.

-Instead, he blamed the synth. The creation that defined god and was abomination, the one that had secretly infiltrated their homes and turned everyone against each other. If this thing had never come here, had never existed, than Barbara would still be alive.

-So Chanson did what was to be expected, he found the synth through intense trial and error, until he was the last person still standing in Rivet city.

-Did he regret what had to be done? Of course he did, but the Brotherhood seemed very understanding of his case. His story was horrifying, and would only happen again and again unless something was done to stop the problem at its source.

-Chanson was welcomed with open arms and was on the first recon mission into the commonwealth, where he currently seeks to stop the institute and wipe out every last synth they created.

-In terms of personality, Chanson is a rather strict and cold individual, always keeping others at a distance and commanding his squad with ruthless ambition.

-Many of the other soldiers describe him as fierce, mysterious, and unflinching. He's a great leader that gets results and lets nothing phase him, though sometimes they see this look of sadness in his eyes that seems...so unlike the man they know now.

-After rivet city, Chanson never let anyone get close to him again, both out of grief and fear. Most people know his story, but that's all they know, and with his cold disposition its hard to tell what's actually going on inside that head of his.
