At this time, I genuinely cannot even begin to figure out how this is going to go.

They're going to the ruins of Molaesmyr! I can't imagine that this will be a quick one episode jaunt! I can easily see three or four.

However, I'm honestly having such a blast that even though I miss team AOL, I'm fully content to ride it out, even if it means not seeing them for a while yet real time.

Lovely interaction with the King and Queen, though I admit I'm confused on Ludinus's timeline now. I thought the whole thing was that he was super ancient even for an elf, but now we have multiple elves who were alive AND in Molaesmyr with him. I thought the fall happened a thousand years ago! Wiki is saying 585 PD, which is way later than I thought. I fully believed it fell during the end of the Calamity. Shows what I know!

I did NOT see FRIDA/FCG coming! I'm all for it, though it's more 'believable' on FRIDA's side than FCG. Why? Something about Sam's performance. It just felt a bit like he was 'yes and'ing, but that something this big shouldn't be just a 'yes and'? Then again, we did have the soft moments from last episode, so maybe I'm just behind on this one. My romance-radar is not particularly well attuned, especially because I'm not really a huge shipper? So I can easily be blindsided.

SHOPPING EPISODE!!!!!! Look I'm sorry (not sorry) I love shopping episodes and I especially love them describing new outfits that we might get art for!!!! I am SO excited to see if we'll get new artwork, I really really hope so! (I also hope that if we do, that team AOL also gets a clothes update opportunity with the same leeway XD)

I'm not touching on the god conversations this episode, they were done very well and I'm looking forwards to reblogging people much more eloquent that I am. BUT the Wildmother scene tugged at my heart. I NEED more Fearne and Orym scenes soooo badly.

For the WIP game: What Makes the Desert Beautiful❤️

That's a Soulmark AU set in the universe of my first E-rated fic, I Carve My Sorrows on my Skin, this time with the TNG cast

Basically, it is an AU where certain species, such as humans, get a soulmark in the form of a flower when they have been hurt or betrayed by someone else. In this fic, Data investigates their meaning and where exactly does he fit then since, as an "unfeeling" android, he doesn't have them.

However, "what makes the desert beautiful, is that somewhere within it there's a well". He isn't less for not having them, and his bonds are no weaker for what is just a biological quirk.

This is... well, a pretty wholesome fic though there is some angst too xD and not too far from completion, though I have to finish some fics I've promised to do first 😄

The design started on the back of her left knee and curled a couple of inches around the thigh, spreading in a riot of vibrantly green leaves, though the flower itself was just a bud, not fully grown.

"You can ask, I don't mind," Deanna said.

"What does it mean?"

“This is Will's," she admitted easily. "You know, of course, that he lived on Betazed for a while, and that we were… close." She traced the stem gently with the pad of her fingers. "I was so sure of what the future would be, for us. But then he left."

How does Zeus, Selene, and Selene fit in your au

So first of all, the Klondike's shuttlecraft are named after Greek deities (Selene, Storkules - but not Zeus XD), as explained in this.

Second, I did write a little bit about how Selene might make a good Deanna Troi parallel here, which if I go with, then that would mean that the Greek gods are the Betazoid parallels for the AU. Which works (again, seeing Zeus be the Lwaxana parallel to annoy Scrooge would be hilarious, and it still works for Storkules to be Selene's brother), but 1) that contradicts the naming of the shuttlecraft after Greek deities, and 2) I really do just want to have them be like how they are in DT17, because Greece! So actually, I could just say that instead of the parallels for Lwaxana and Deanna coming from an AU Betazed, those roles are now played by Greek gods! Yeah! :D (And then there's still probably an AU Betazed, but it's more like its Trek version now.)

So, Selene will be Della's girlfriend (and eventually Penny's as well), and she'll probably be on the ship a lot, along with Storkules, who might date Donald for a bit (there might be a whole love-square thing with Donald and José and Panchito happening).

Zeus, again, is very much the Lwaxana of the AU here, but much more irritating to Scrooge, and he juuuuuust might have something to do with the "ion storm" involved with Della's disappearance.

Okay then. Will is borin- NOOOOO no, I kid XD I love him so much. He's my favourite TNG character. Especially because *gestures to horrible father* My types of blorbos are either 1) team parent 2) had shitty parents (WE WILL IGNORE WHAT THOSE TWO THINGS SAY ABOUT ME-) or 3) genuinely caring and loyal to their loved ones. And Will falls in the latter two categories. So yeah, I think he's a lovely dude ^_^

There are so many little things to Riker as a character or ideas about Riker in general that I could go on and on about if only I were more articulate.

As sad as Riker's upbringing was, I wish it had been explored a bit more. I wish anything about Riker had been explored more than him just telling us. From two years to his second year at the Academy was all one big trauma, and his first assignment didn't go great either.

How the fuck did this man who was set up to be justifiedly bitter and angry with the world turn out to be not that???

At least there is Fandom, and Riker seems to have his own little cult in that. Together we've managed to take what little the writers gave us and - not so much change aspects of a character - expand upon it. And it helps these character like Riker (Beverly and Deanna are in that same boat too) who's not really as well appreciate for what they added to the TNG family.

Please understand when I say "we" I am not just meaning those who create the ideas, but also those who share it. An idea can not spread if it is not shared after all.

As for myself, I find it extremely validating to be able to throw out an idea that came to me at 1am and have people approve of it. I've talked before about how difficult it is for me to engage socially without unwarranted fear, but the Star Trek Fandom - at least on tumblr- has been a surprisingly warm place for me? Idk, this is literally the only Fandom I've actively engaged in.

Deanna wakes up one day to the feeling of something new in the air. She picks up Gideon and goes outside to get a better look at the house. Yup, same old house… but even so, something has changed. Thankfully, whatever it is, it feels like a good change. 😊

And what better way to celebrate a day of glorious new possibilities than with a spot of baking? 🍞🥐🧁🥯😋

(Soooo I ported this family over to my new updated save file, which has every Maxis lot replaced [mostly with random ones from the gallery, but also with a few I've found here on Tumblr, too]. It's reset the world's timeline back to the beginning, too, so we might start seeing some familiar faces show up, like the Goths or Bjergsens or what-have-you. I've also seeded nearly every world with new random DNA donors, so we'll see if Deanna runs into any of them… ^^ Though MCCC has already matched a few of them up with other households, so we'll see if there are any left for Deanna when she gets around to them. XD This save file change does mean the kiddos have lost their connections with their biological DNA donors, but I figure that's a small price to pay for living in a cooler, more vibrant world. And don't worry, I made sure the grown-up kiddos made the switch too. We'll still see lots of first-born Alice and the others. :) Oh, and one more change: I'm still playing with aging off for the active household, but I finally removed TwistedMexi's Lifetime Skills mod [which I love otherwise!], which means the kids won't age up with skills anymore. This means I'll have to do a *lot* more work getting the kids/teens skilled up so they can get As in school. Should be fun. ^^; On with the show!)

That night Deanna decides to take a quick trip over to Sulani to check out the Open Sand Bar (lot by @shysimblr, aka. mustbeshy on the Gallery!).

#5. favorite Bad Guy

if we're talking villains with redemptive arcs then it's gotta be Crowley (Rowena is a close 2nd, Amara 3rd) but in the sense of Bad Guys who stay bad and you just love to hate them.. Season 5 Lucifer. i was surprised we didn't see worse from him in that season actually, but the story as well as MP's performance was always engaging, plus in season 5 there was still this mystique surrounding Hell, and Lucifer was new, plus we still had that early days midwestern gothic horror aesthetic and that all worked in the Big Bad's favor. 

(i could definitely do without him in later seasons though. i enjoyed Hallucifer and Casifer but they were a novelty, and season 12 gave us Jack, but Lucifer's storyline just got so stale).

honourable mentions go to demon!dean! and michael!dean. i don't technically count demon!dean as a Bad Guy though XD and michael!dean was amazing because of jackles but season 14 was mishandled imho (it's SO much better done in fic!) 

#6. least favorite Good Guy

i'm not sure he totally qualifies as "good" since he was working for Crowley and he tried to trade his grandsons' lives for Mary, but.. Samuel Campbell. enduring his presence throughout season 6 was a chore - he just wasn't layered, there was no backstory, no insight. he wasn't memorable and maybe that was intentional since he ended up being disposable, but he was the Campbell family patriarch so we should've at least got some comments about Mary's upbringing or his own youth or something.

that said, his expertise was cool. i mean, curing vampires? i wish we'd seen more of that sort of thing. 

i think it was a missed opportunity to have Deanna resurrected as well: there'd be a rift in their partnership with Deanna questioning more and willing to sacrifice less - she wouldn't have traded her grandsons, she would have defected to their side, maybe even ended up killing Samuel to save them. Season 6 was an angst fest so it definitely would've fit. plus she could've been the person Dean turned to, confided in, found kinship with, since Sam was soulless and Cas at war, etc. 

kinda hated all the Campbell cousins tbh. but i think that was intentional on the writers' part. we weren't supposed to like them, these black-and-white hunters, soldiers, a family of thugs really (except Gwen, maybe?). 

also: the Apocalypse World Hunters (with the exception of AU!Charlie, AU!Bobby and Stevie). good concept poorly executed. they could've fleshed out a couple of really interesting, diversely cast characters, but instead we got Maggie, and then they all died. just another element for fic writers to do better, and do better they certainly have.

Hi! Ah yes she does! I literally remembered that last second as I was posting the chapter. I keep meaning to go back and correct that but I also keep forgetting. 

But I’m really glad you’re enjoying it! Yes Dean has been under a lot of pressure and he’s kinda forgotten about the rules of this ‘game’ because of everything. He’s just a child who wanted comfort at that moment. And yep! The mothers knowing everything just being, “Can we focus on the children please?” XD

Okay, I really like that tile!

And at first I thought I would write something from the eyes of Deanna about Darrow. About how being carved and having lived multiple years with Golds had changed her son in some way or another. Sort of a character study from the eyes of a person very close to Darrow.

But then I thought about poetry which in itself is the most out of character thing I have ever done, because I don't particular like poetry...

However, this title just seemed like it could stand above a short poem. Something that could maybe describe the "Bronzies". Something about how they are treated in a society where they are supposed to be perfect but just aren't. Something like this: (Now, before I post this, I must warn you, I am by no means I poet. So it's not gonna be good xD)

I walk admits these golden halls

She evenfound the hidden supplies of Guinan because Lwaxana thinks that the drinks ofthe replicator are disgusting, they can’t compare with the original beveragesof her planet. Can’t compare!

Ofcourse, she is best dressed and she invites all the crew to her party, do youknow what they are going to celebrate? Her presence, yes. She is here and sheis a good reason to party!

Lwaxanadoes not waste any moment to embarrass the poor Picard because he is herfavourite target. She wants to get him drunk and see if he is able to have fun.She actually doubts he knows what having fun means, but she wants to taste hislimit. She is the greatest expert to drive him crazy. It is a sport for her andshe always wins. Always.

Deannatries to help the poor Captain but Lwaxana is hard to beat and she startstormenting even her daughter telling her that it’s funny, don’t be a pain inthe back and bla bla bla because she knows, everyone here loves her presence andher. The Captain does not want to admit that he’s her number one fan.

Yes, shewon’t get drunk, maybe a little but she is always in control and then she isalways crazy, she does not need alcohol to have fun or to feel good because sheis always fabulous.

Finding alcoholin the Enterprise is not easy, since the replicator does not create alcohol andthese stuff because it is not allowed on the ship. Only Guinan possesses somebottles of alcohol and she keeps them for special occasions.

I don’tsee Deanna as a person who drinks so much, maybe when she is in good company, drinkingis a cool way to take it easy and relax.

When shedrinks, I can imagine, her empathetic power wear down and she confuses heremotions and the emotions of others but it is not so bad, it is like aneuphoria, she likes it somehow. She knows it is a temporary feeling and feels alittle bit crazier, it can be funny and she can say and do what she wants with theperson she loves.

Sheknows alcohol makes people more honest, so she is curious to see her S/O morehonest with her if they are drunk, it can be like a game, maybe she won’t likethe things she’ll heard but she’ll forget about it the next day when she’ll besober and sane.
