I have a really specific way I see them, where I feel like Brooke recognizes how much they leave Jenna out, and in a way the only thing holding her back from ever making real honest friends with her is the need to uphold her own status. Also puppylove, I need them to be besties BAD.

playride. I will die on this hill. Have you ever seen someone pine so hard that it makes them physically sick?? That’s what Brooke has going on. I think about them a lot and how they both end up in this friend group where they see each other around a bunch but maybe don’t really talk individually a lot. Christine is experiencing the Jake Dillinger effect of only being important to him when he wants her to be, while Brooke is dealing with having to be the “second choice” to Chloe, and it sort of just over time morphs into them being friends with each other (fully based on that one scene in bway bmc where Brooke frowns and sympathetically pats Christine’s shoulder after Chloe says her “he got bored of you” line). I also think that Brooke would somewhat admire Christine’s ability to recognize her own boundaries and break up with Jake, even if she never admits anything about it. I would do outlandish things for three minutes of playride screentime. Pleas….

Do you ever just imagine.. stagedorks, playride and puppylove happening simultaneously? Like, aroace Christine is my jam, don't get me wrong, but there's just something about these three together in a romantic sense that makes me feel really happy. okay so i was kind of lazy... and i re-uploaded this from my other account, but eh, it's here now :] here are some bmc headcanons, hope you enjoy!

- the whole squad goes to college together and it's some kinda york shit bc they're all sharing a dorm. chaos ensues.

- rich and jake are boyfriends, and they're trying to be lowkey about it, and literally everyone knows. but it's arson bros so there's no way in hell that they can be subtle.

- christine was brought up by her dad who is literally the nicest person on this planet and he loves all of her friends but he like michael the best, because i mean who doesn't :D.

- brooke is a dog person and christine is a cat person, but they make it work because they're useless lesbians who are very much in love.

- whenever jeremy can't sleep (which is always) he goes downstairs and makes a cup of tea, which doesn't help his insomnia but he doesn't care because it's TEA.

- okay!! to establish ships:

- playride (i have no regrets, they're adorable)

- rich is honestly pretty smart. he majors in latin and while he complains about it all the time, he's pretty much fluent, which he's honestly pretty proud about.

- rich is an assistant teacher for year 4s (3rd graders) and they call him 'sir'. whenever one of these kids makes a homophobic/transphobic comment (bc they're young kids yknow) he'll sit them down and teach them that it's okay to be lgbtq+.

- for like a year after the events of the play, jeremy tries to earn back michael's trust. eventually he forgives him, but jeremy has to do some serious courting shit to get michael back as his friend.

- jeremy catches feelings for michael first. no debate.

- jenna is a fashion youtuber/vlogger kinda like bestdressed. chloe joins her and they're literally best friends.

- chloe doesn't specifically have a redemption arc, but she does learn over time to treat people at least a little bit better.

You cannot tell me that someone didnt have a fucking field day on the wiki, unknowing what black magic they’ve been tampering with. And then the musical got popular and people were looking and went “oh,,, that’s,,,, that’s the name for that???? Well if they SAY so” and now we have widely accepted fucking abominations

I can not describe the absolute hatred I have for some of these and I feel like this is my single chance to express why. Let’s start with some good ship names. (TO CLARIFY: this is me rating ship NAMES, not the ships themselves so just relax)

Boyf riends (Jeremy x Michael) Good. Makes sense. Holds canoninity in the show and reflects both boys and their relationship. This is definitely the best ship name.

Pinkberry (Chloe x Brooke)- Decent. Could be better, but it’s cute and reflects their shared love for fro yo (mostly Brooke’s, but Chloe agreed to the frozen yogurt terms too) in their one shared song.

Deere (Jake x Jeremy)- One thing that I never understood about BMC is that we never went with the classic “shove their names together” thing, unless we have zero other idea what to do and then usually we end up with clashy things like “RichJake.” This is actually decent and mashes the names well, though it’s disappointing that y’all passed up “Dillinjer” bc this one always makes me think of farming tractors.

The first time Brooke started having feelings for Christine was during Jake’s Halloween party

I imagine her going to hide in the laundry room after she saw Jeremy with Chloe and Christine wandering in while she’s crying

Being the compassionate person she is, Christine sits down next to Brooke and asks if she’s okay

The two the proceed to have a really meaningful heart-to-heart that ends with a hug, and damn if it wasn’t one of the warmest hugs Brooke ever had in her life

Christine also noticed just how soft Brooke’s hair is and how it smelt like lavender, but shhh, that’s a surprise tool that’ll help us later

Fast forward to their senior year

Brooke signs up for drama after Christine insistence/praise of her performance at last years rehearsals (she doesn’t bring up the play...for obvious reasons) and uh-oh spaghetti-o’s, she let’s it slip Jeremy and her had a mutual break up 

Christine obviously meant this a clear indication she wanted Brooke to ask her out but. The poor girl just doesn’t catch on

I guess One choice can ruin a life? I've certainly thought up angstier fics but I never wrote them

OHH THIS IS HARD BECAUSE MAJORITY OF MY WORK IS FLUFF,, I think I'll go with caramel latte because I am. biased <3

Not that I can recall? If I do ever get hate though I'd just delete it. I don't want any negativity in my comments unless it's deserved

Thought about it but never actually wrote it. I think I'm too ace to write smut* *Wanted to clarify that this is a joke and asexual people can still read and write smut

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I think the only crossover I ever wrote was BMC and DEH and literally half the fandom has done that

Not that I know of, I hope not

Unless they did it without permission - nope!

Not officially, but my friends help me with writing a lot and we used to write fics together back in school :)

Boyf riends!!! They're my comfort pairing <3 Honourable mentions go to Percabeth, Caleo, Prinxiety (only platonic / familial in actual canon), Plunderbunnies and Playride <3

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Oh I have. so many. old BMC ideas, a lot of TLKOE I don't think I'll get back to till the fandom has me in a chokehold again, and some Deltarune and Ducktales fics too.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue my beloved <333 I think I'm really REALLY good at dialogue like it's the best part of my writing I think.

No but seriously, I'm not the best at descriptions, I tend to make them too long or too short but I've gotten better at it! I also sometimes accidentally shift pov halfway and only notice when editing-

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

It's always very fun!! I've learned a lot of fun phrases (and curse words) in other languages from fics, and I myself like including language that I know! As long as there's an easily accessible translation I think it's great <3

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The first fanfic I posted was for pokemon but I might have written something before that and just don't remember. Technically my friends and I wrote PJO fanfic with our OCs first.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

I think this is a tie between 'Caramel Latte' and 'So This is Love' because I'm super proud of both of them and my friends beta read them for me! I'm happy to say I do love a lot of my own fics though <3

957,577. with the unpublished words of meet you after dark, I'll be very close to 1,000,000. I'm almost certain I'll hit it by the end of the year (at least that's my goal)

anchor up to me, love (this being my top fic by kudos is so shocking to me lol it's just a 3x05 coda that I think I wrote the day after the episode aired, I really didn't think it was that special)

hold on - This is probably the only 'unhappy' ending I have, but it's more so just unresolved because it's a 3x01 coda written before any of the other episodes in that arc aired. and 3x01 is not a happy episode lol

idk if I can call this a WIP, but there's always been an idea in my mind about writing a fic inspired by the book Carlos was writing in as if you were a mythical thing. it's a 1970s camp counselor slasher murder mystery style fic that I wrote a little bit of for this prompt fill, but I don't know if a full au will ever come out of it. shame because the playlist and moodbord would slap

16. What are your writing strengths?

world building, banter, angst that feels like a punch in the gut, giving the happy ending room to breathe

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

smut I feel like. need to learn new ways to say the same exact thing

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I think it makes total sense and feels authentic for it to be there every once in a while for non-crucial story details if a character speaks another language

I'm going to go with your first string. I think that has my most full-fledged character arcs and full circle storyline. It's my longest fic and I never really got sick of writing it, which is a pretty good indicator that I enjoyed it

can you please do playride in a school musical hc?

i’ve never done ship headcanons before, so let’s see how it goes!!

okay so

much like our dear jeremy, brooke has had a crush on christine for a while now

but she’s much too insecure to put herself out there again

not after she got cheated on last time

chloe is the one who takes the lead and decides she and brooke are signing up for the school musical

she pretends she just really loves fiddler on the roof, but it’s pretty obvious that she’s doing it so brooke will have a chance to talk to her crush

christine gets cast as tzeitel and brooke ends up getting cast as yente

brooke’s a lil upset that she has to play the old matchmaker until christine gushes over how good she’ll be

christine’s so passionate about the show, it’s easy for brooke to get swept up in it, too

especially when christine’s inviting people to run lines and practice dances in her basement on the weekends

brooke gets to know christine’s home very well during the two month rehearsal time

for a while, it’s christine, brooke, chloe, and jenna all hanging at christine’s on the weekends

then one friday at the end of rehearsal, chloe just goes “oh sorry jenna and i were going shoe shopping :// oh well, you two have fun!!”

jenna’s just like “uhh no we weren’t?” internally, but chloe glares sharply before she can even speak

brooke is glaring at chloe for a whole other reason

and little christine is just bummed that she can’t practice ‘matchmaker’ without chloe (who’s playing hodel)

so brooke and christine go back to christine’s house

they say hello to her dad on their way into the basement

(they always practice in the basement bc they can push the furniture aside to do the dance routines)

after a while, christine calls an end

“there’s not much else we can do on our own”

tragically, they’re not in a whole lot of scenes together

panicking a little (she doesn’t want this day to end!!) brooke offers to help christine run her lines

“you are so sweet, brooke!!”

christine practically has heart eyes

they end up laying side by side on the floor

christine’s on her back and brooke in on her tummy, christine’s script laying open in front of her

christine nails all of her lines, of course

no one is surprised at that

and brooke is too busy looking at the script to notice how christine looks up at her, her gaze all soft and gooey

it’s in that moment that christine decides she’s going to kiss brooke during the bows of their final performance

everyone likes a grand gesture, after all

I've gotten over the 'guilt' part of it tbh, if I like something then I like something, that's it :)

Oh hmm, answering this in a BMC context I'd really like to write Deere and Iced Tea (Brooke/Jenna) at some point but never got around to it. Also dramatical theatre.
