i love how me celebrating dean winchester’s birthday just became a pampering myself day

worked my shift

went to grocery store

bought a pie, a demi baguette (cheddar and onion obviously) and cat food for my babies

had a nice bath with a fun red bath bomb

listened to my jensen ackles calm playlist in the bath

and also devoured the baguette in the bath too

downed 1/4th of the pie

laid down for a little bit

hung out with my roommate and drank some wine and watched a couple episodes of new girl

laid in bed again and ate another 1/4 (we are at half of the pie eaten)

watched the new dan and phil video

and now currently watching my favourite episodes of spn

I just did some math and, if Cas is as old as the earth, his 12 years with Dean is equivalent to like 0.08 seconds in a human lifespan. That’s less than 1/10th of a second, shorter than the blink of an eye. He knew Dean for such a short amount of time compared to his entire existence and it was enough to fundamentally change everything about Cas and how he sees the world. That’s absolutely insane to me.

Dean misremembering the purgatory portal scene is altering my brain chemistry in so many ways. What do you mean Dean remembered it as him not being able to save Cas because he wasn't strong enough, but in reality Cas let go??? We know he remembers some things perfectly like when Cas went into the lake because he had nightmares about that, but how many other things does he misremember? Does he remember Mary dying? Does he remember all his fights with Cas? Does he remember all the times Sam died? This was such a missed opportunity to do more. They could've made Dean even more traumatized by having him misremember something for so long, and then him having to learn it was completely different and having a whole crisis about it.

from dean’s perspective “i need you’ is bigger than “i love you”. love is complicated but it’s direct, he could love someone without having them in his life. but need? dean “mr. dependent, guarded walls up so high, emotionally unavailable” winchester needing someone? thats huge. to need means to give them control. to need means i cant do this without you. love comes easy to dean but to genuinely need something and be selfish enough to ask for it? that goes against everything he’s been conditioned into believing.
