ABSOLUTELY i did not expect anyone to ask to be honest….goodness where do i even begin. Let’s see. I’ll start with my main little doomed love triangle thing i suppose

Cecilia Paek, she/her, 24 yrs old, aka: cece, celia, eight, whore, freak, slut, etc. My agent 8. born in the domes under the name Paek Seo-Mi, but renamed herself to cece post-memory loss. A freak both in the not-safe-for-work sense and just. In general. She says the most unhinged shit in such a passive formal manner. Marina has to consistently tell her she’s not allowed to eat the jelletons. She bites. A lot.

aside from being a freak cece is curious and observant, but incredibly blunt and fierce. In the past Seo-Mi was a much quieter and more repressed person, but hearing the Inkantation awakened a flame within her, so to speak. Cece is incredibly vocal about her thoughts and feelings, and she does not like to be pushed around. although shes always been a very nostalgic person, shes been trying to look forward more often than not. (she was on team future!)

cece has a very mature, almost sisterly presence, and is especially close with neo 3 (ikra) and her pseudo sister agent 4 (yottsu). she also has a daughter of her own, yumi! ikra and yottsu are my friends ocs so i cant say too much about them but ikra is like, basically her and kyle’s adopted kid

Kyle Lastname, (Actual surname to be determined Eventually) he/him, 25 yrs, aka three, cap, kyle, ceces silly rabbit /j. he’s my captain 3. has a stupid ass name bc he’s a stupid ass guy. Basically started as a joke oc but i put him through the Horrors. he’s the malewife of all time.

Grew up the only hearing person in a deaf/hard of hearing household so he’s fluent in sign language. He joined squidbeak when he was like 16 mostly bc he was a MASSIVE FUCKING LOSER with a huge ego who wanted the attention. Now he has Trauma and hates his teen self more than anything. (The egotistical little white kid phase is like, a rite of passage in his family. His little sister is still in that phase.) Now that he’s mellowed out hes just a sopping wet cat. Dating cece and is obsessed with her + will do literally whatever she wants.

Hes a lot more talkative than canon 3, hes the kind of guy who copes with humor all the time. he tries to be cool and mysterious but hes really awkward and gets flustered or worked up super easily. He’s overall a pretty boring guy and thats his charm. She’s barbie and he’s just ken. etc etc.

Hes SO dad coded btw. He and cece have a daughter together, Yumi. Since he was young he spent a lot of time looking after his little sister and he’s basically adopted his protege, neo3 (ikra). he makes me think of RTGame for reasons i could not describe to you, it’s just the energy somehow. He’s my babygirl. My little meow meow if you will (Cece voice)

Victoria Mendoza, she/her, 25 yrs, aka Tori. SHE is the fucked up one. Literally doomed by the narrative. Eye love her.

She comes from a long line of elite soldiers and was a child prodigy, but also the Problem Child. Got expelled from multiple schools for beating up other kids. from a young age she’s been incredibly critical of the octarian society and she was basically your average teen rebel. into alt music/fashion, incredibly vocal about her distaste for the system, fairly closed off with a cold exterior. the only person she truly cared for was Seo-Mi (Cece).

Seo-Mi was quiet and sweet and generally pretty average academically, so she didn’t have nearly as much pressure on her to succeed compared to Tori. the two were childhood friends and teenage lovers. The only ones who truly matched each others freak if you will. When they were little girls they used to dream of escaping to the surface together. this changed when they were about sixteen years old.

the most important thing to know about tori is that she is a pessimist and at her core a Coward. She’s all bark and no bite. She’ll scream her hatred of authority from the rooftops but immediately crumble at the sight of her leader. and as she got older and officially entered her career, she lost hope. she determined the surface wouldn’t have anything more for her than the domes did. she became complacent, while Seo-Mi, who had previously been more neutral, had heard the inkantation and only become more determined to leave the domes.

The two desperately tried to change each other’s minds but they were far too stubborn. both of them were crushed by the supposed “betrayal” of their beloved. Inevitably Seo-Mi left for the surface, eventually being taken in to Kamabo Co. while tori stayed behind to rot.

Since Seo-Mi left, tori became more bitter than ever before. she turns her focus to her career, and her family, but she never truly moves on from the loss. Unfortunately, Cece did. Cece met someone else, she’s started a family, she has a completely new name. she’s essentially a new person. and Tori is still the same.

Canonically i don’t think they would ever meet again and actually recognize each other, but i like to play with the idea sometimes bc if they did they would Hate each other. Tori is completely incapable of accepting that her Seo-Mi has moved on. She is clinging on to a version of someone that doesn’t exist anymore. tori is a deeply self destructive person and will never move on in any sense of the word. Sad!

Also this is Yumi. Age varies but shes like. Very young toddler as of the current timeline. She’s cece and kyle’s favorite surprise (Accident). They’re both freaks and shes the consequences of their actions. She and smollusk have playdates together. She’s obsessed with off the hook but doesn’t realize that her weird lesbian aunts pearl and marina are the same people. She’s baby

Endeavor sucks so here's a rant cause i've seen too many people say he isn't that bad lately

(CW / TW for abuse, ptsd mention) going in best order of episode events, but also including manga spoilers (sections are indented so you can skip the manga parts)-

this is pulling from source material but also very opinioned based. I get people saying he's an interesting character (kinda) but i hate seeing people excuse what he did because "aww he feels bad now." like him if you want but hating on other's for not liking him is just stupid.

it will also be long, but I have a lot of thoughts, hope at least some people agree with me lmao

i started typing this around when ch 390 came out so i know this has all been said before but with the new season coming out and like i said more people defending him i wanted to finally post this

"The Boy Born With Everything."

"That kid of mine will beat you some day, I'll make sure of it. That's why I created him."

Endeavor admitting he only had kids to be heroes, ones better than All Might, shows he does not truly care about his children. He only wanted them because he couldn't handle his failures. He sees them as a tool, not as his own kids, not as people. That's obvious in almost everything he says to and about Shoto.

And while I hate him, he isn’t a failure hero wise. He’s literally the # 2 hero out of however many hundreds there are. He’s simply mad he can’t beat AM? What is he a child who thinks he deserves everything he wants because he’s never been told no?

When Shouto finally used his fire Endeavor yelled about him finally realizing his “purpose.” More proof he sees his children, Shouto specifically, as tools. They aren't humans to him, they don't have their own feelings or goals, they are a means to an end. A means to his end. Shouto overcoming his own guilt (guilt caused by Endeavor) doesn’t matter to him. What matters is he now feels Shouto is worth something.

Class 1A vs 1B (i dont remember the exact episode names)

the flashback we get after Tokoyami talks to Shouto we hear Endeavor say, “Touya was close… Come on Shouto you’re the only one who can master this move.” Endeavor was putting the weight of his dead son's “failure” on the shoulder of his 5 (?) yr old kid. Making the kid who just lost his older sibling feel like he has to be better, or he could die too.

“Quit pretending to be weak.” Bro that is your very young kid. He is weak. Train him early, sure, whatever, but this is just abuse. You aren’t training him. Pushing your kid to the point of throwing up isn’t just training. It isn’t him being weak. It’s abuse.

I know this show is very flashback heavy in the first place but I really do interpret all the flashbacks Shouto gets of his dad as PTSD. Often times when fighting and in battle, after getting hit, he has memories of his dad. Sure, this could just be his motivation but I think it’s more than that.

"The Unforgiven."

"I thought if I saved you, that you might never say a word to me ever again." Aka Endeavor saying, "I should save my son, so he maybe likes me again." Natsuo my beloved. I love when he is an ass to his dad. His own son is saying he could never forgive him because why does he "need to be the one to make an active effort to change?" and that even though Endeavor wants to make up what does he think he can do now? Natsuo will always see his dad as the one who killed his older brother, and I don't blame him. Because that is who Endeavor is.

"He literally says in the episode he doesn't want forgiveness." And? He doesn't deserve it. He doesn't need to make Natsuo feel better for hating him when he has every right to after what his dad did to him and his entire family.

Sure, this episode is us seeing a "change" in Endeavor because he wants to be better, however, this is my post so I will say why I have a problem with this lmao. When did we see Endeavor start to change? After he became the number one hero. After he realized people were going to be looking at him even more.

The only good thing he does is realize that in order for his family to be happy he cannot be in the picture.

"Dabi's Dance"

Not including all the scenes I want to bc if I did, I'd just insert the entire ep lmao

"Oh, but he is changing. He regrets his actions." Why didn't he have regrets years ago when, to everyone's knowledge, his 13 yr old son had died? Endeavor didn't start feeling "guilty" until he became the number 1 hero. (as stated before)

And yes, we see and hear how upset Endeavor was over Touya’s death, but did he change? Did he stop being abusive and neglectful? Did he apologize and see his faults? Nope. So how bad did he really feel.

Dabi himself called him out on this during "Dabi’s Dance" when he said, “Is that why you finally decided to try to bond with your children? Keep looking toward the future and you can be a better man?"

On top of it all, Endeavor didn’t even step in to fight. Yes, he was shocked seeing his dead son in front of him again, but do you not think Shouto was shocked seeing his dead brother? He still fought.

Chapter 350

Many people say Dabi was born in the fire. However, that isn't true. Touya didn't die in that fire. He died and Dabi was born 3 years later when he went back home and had seemingly been forgotten about. He woke up in a strange place, covered in burns and sounding completely different. He wanted to go home. He wanted to apologize for all the awful things he said. He was told that he has been severely injured and once again that he was a failure. He was scared and alone. So, he goes home thinking he will be accepted with open arms, that maybe everything would be better, and everyone will celebrate yet he gets there, and his dad is still the same. Abusing his siblings and his mom is gone. Not only that but to Touya's POV, he has been replaced by his younger brother.

Plus does that not show you who Endeavor is as a person? That even after pushing his son to death he didn’t change.

"The Wrong Way to Put Out a Fire"

i won't include any clips or panels from this bc it is very intense and while this post will talk about it i still don't want to include those pictures

Going ahead and getting this out of the way because people love bringing it up for some reason, while what Rei did to Shouto was awful, obviously, it is not even close to being on the same level as the things Endeavor did to the entire Todofam. Rei was scared to look her own kids in the eyes because when she did, she saw Endeavor. She saw Endeavor's rage and feared for her safety, and in a moment of a clear panic attack and mental break defended herself, because look at Rei and tell me that woman doesn't have PTSD.

If the entirety of this ep didn't make you hate Endeavor and see he is incapable of change then idk what to tell you. Him convincing his very young child that his sole purpose is to be the next number 1 hero. He then finds out his kid physically won't be able to do that he tells him that he simply isn't good instead of sitting down and talking to him.

Buying Rei because he wanted to create his perfect child, then forcing her to be some baby machine. (Random fact that always haunts me is that Touya and Fuyumi were born in the same year.) Abusing Rei repeatedly. As well as, hitting her in front of the kids with a very young Shouto between them while the other two hide in a corner. Blaming Rei for Toya continuing to train when it is his own fault. Then on top of that, not going to Sekoto peak. He could have shown up for 2 seconds but no.

We also see another instance of Rei seeing Endeavor in her own kids when she tried to stop Toya from going and training like when Shouto came to check on her when he was little.

When Touya had a breakdown and tried to kill Shouto, instead of seeing the pain Toya was feeling and realizing his own mistakes, Endeavor just isolated Shouto from his siblings. Didn’t let him play with them, by what Natsuo said at dinner he monitored what he ate and when.

Also, I don’t wanna her “Dabi was insane from the start” after trying to kill Shouto. That was an abused child, turned neglected child, asking to be seen. Begging to be looked at. He, like Rei later on, snapped. He realized that if he wanted to be seen then the only one his dad cared about needed to be gone

Chapter 390.

Shouto finally shows up and brings Dabi down. Somehow Dabi is still alive and this is where he states that everyone, including him, should die. Endeavor then apologizes. Sure, he apologized, better late then never, whatever. However, it just really feels like he is speaking over Dabi. Dabi could be dying, could be saying his last words, and Endeavor starts talking. I will say I like how he acknowledges exactly what he did in some way. That he "pushed Rei past her breaking point", "put everything on Fuyumi's shoulders", and "abandoned Natsuo." It just all feels so empty and really doesn't mean anything with his entire family burned and scarred and Dabi lying on the ground, as well as Shouto passing out.

Endeavor’s “I’m sorry” only goes so far when his son is lying almost burned to death yelling for them all to die, Shouto over working himself to stop Dabi when even his dad couldn’t, and his non hero family standing on the battlefield as well.

In conclusion, Endeavor is an abuser. He pushed his 13 yr old son to death, pushed his wife past her breaking point then sent her away, neglected his other two children because they weren't what he wanted, and only felt bad after he achieved his dream. After he got everything he wanted despite it being built on a broken home and the victims he created along the way.

Like I said if you want to like him that's fine, but don't get mad at others when they don't like him. The Todoroki subplot hits home for a lot of people. It is a very serious and real situation. Take away the hero aspect and Endeavor is just another abuser in the world, something many people have been through.

Once again thinking abt how much Dean does not want or need Cas to beat up his father. And how much Cas understands that and respects Dean’s complicated feels re: John and how dean still holds love and affection for his father while still being able to be critical of him and his choices. How Cas would never overstep those feelings to make some grand knight-in-shining-armor show of retroactively getting “justice” for Dean or “protecting” Dean should Cas ever meet John.

When Cas says in the cut scene from 14x14 “your father was a complicated man” he means it. He’s not grasping for the only nice thing he can think to say. I think Cas fully recognizes how fucked up the whole “hitchhiker routine” thing is, I think he also understands that Dean does not want or need to hear in that moment stuff like “I’d kill your father” or even “I hate him for what he did / made you do.” Even if Cas feels that way, I think he understands that it wouldn’t be the productive thing to say. Maybe some other time, maybe when they’re alone and not actively on a case posing as FEDs. Maybe when Dean is in a space where he can actually have that vulnerable conversation with Cas and unpack those feelings, where he can talk abt how yea a lot of things were fucked up abt his childhood. But for now Cas can acknowledge what he already knows abt Dean’s feelings toward John, they’re complicated. Dean holds both love and hate for him. John was a complicated man. Dean doesn’t need Cas to spit fire at John. He doesn’t need Cas to promise to kill him. He doesn’t want that, either.

If John were to come back, if Cas had met him in Lebanon, adult Dean can hold his own. 40 yr old dean is not seeking John’s approval or afraid of him. In Lebanon dean immediately tells john about Cas and jack, he’s not hiding them. And by the end he underlines and makes clear just what they mean to him, they’re his family. Specifically they’re his version of the family John expected Dean to have, a spouse and kids. So, 40 yr old Dean isn’t afraid of his dad. He isn’t hiding. He’s at peace and proud of who he is and what he has. Cas would stand by him with quiet support. (And maybe some squinty glares should John have anything unkind to say toward Dean about anything).

Beating up John wouldn’t be a comfort to Dean. It wouldn't really heal any wounds. It’s unnecessary drama. Dean's made his peace with his father, he's moved on. Unless John was actively hurting dean and Dean couldn’t handle the fight himself, Cas isn’t throwing punches on Dean’s behalf.

After a long argument, my parents finally let me go to Wyoming.

I stare out of the plane window at the city below as we finally land. The pilot announces we can leave and people start to shuffle out of the confined space.

I make my way down the long hallway, not really sure where to go. I've never been on a plane before.

I finally make it to the baggage area where people crowd around the rotating machine.

Finally I spot the blue ribbons on my dark suitcase.

I follow the lane of moving people out a pair of large doors and into a bigger area of the airport. What seems like thousands of more people crowd the large area.

Fuck this is crazy.

I pull out my phone, sending a quick text to Ellie, letting her know I'm here.

I don't know where the fuck I'm supposed to go.

I scan my eyes around the room. There's so many people I'm not sure what to do. I think I'm supposed to meet them in here but I don't remember. Fuck why can't I remember?

A loud shout catches my attention.

" Y/N?! "

I spot a girl holding a white sign with 'Welcome to Wyoming' written on it.

My breath catches in my throat. Ellie.

The last time we sent pictures of what we looked like to each other, we were Freshmen. She's changed a lot.

Her auburn hair is shorter and half up in a bun. Her dark green shirt compliments her sparkling green eyes.

Her tattoo immediately captures my eye, causing me to trace her arm. Her muscles are slightly defined, leading up to her hands.

Her eyes land on mine and a small smile breaks out on her face. " Y/N? "

" Ellie! " I grin while immediately making my way towards her. I lug my heavy suit case and carry on behind me.

Ellie immediately hands the sign over to an older looking man I quickly recognize as Ellie's adoptive father, Joel.

I let go of my bags as I reach the trio. " Oh my god. You look exactly like your pictures. I'm so glad I haven't been catfished by a fifty-seven year old named Chuck. My friends were worried you were going to ax murder me. "

Ellie rolls her eyes. " Shut the fuck up. If I wanted to murder you, I would've had you come over sooner. " Ellie wraps her strong arms around my shoulders.

I'm immediately met with a the smell of the forest mixed with weed.

We pull away and Ellie introduces me to her family.

" Joel, Sarah, this asshole is Y/N. "

I grin at the two who apologize.

" Let's go. If we want a spot at Will's, we need to get our asses' to the diner. "

I turn around to grab my bags when a hand beats me to them.

Ellie hands one of the bags to Joel before turning to me. " Beat you too it. "

" I can carry my own bags, Williams. " I roll my eyes.

" I'm a fucking gentlewoman, L/N. I don't make my friends carry their bags. " Ellie grins.

Fuck her smile. She's so...fuck.

But friend? God of course. There's no way in hell she'd ever like me back. She's dating Cat! Why the hell am I still crushing on her? She's got a fucking girlfriend.

Joel leads us out of the airport and into a giant parking garage. " It's going to be a bit of a ride to town. "

" Don't worry, I'll keep ya entertained. I am your best friend, after all. " Ellie squeezes my shoulder with her empty hand. Joel opens the back of his truck and he slides my suitcase into the back. Ellie lifts up the suitcase with no struggle, easily sliding it next to the other one.

" Egotistical much? " I shake my head and slide into the seat behind Sarah.

" You love it. " Ellie hops in next to me, reaching over Joel's seat to turn on the radio.

" Driver picks the music. " Joel argues, switching the station.

" Actually the passenger. " Sarah smiles while changing to a pop station.

The three argue over who gets to pick the radio station, bringing a smile to my face. It's not like the arguments my parents have. There's no hate filled words being hurled around. Just jokes and slight annoyance. They aren't getting in each others faces. I don't feel scared to be around them.

I lean my head against the warm glass of Joels' truck. With a small yawn, I shut my eyes for a minute.

" Y/N. Wake up Y/N. " A hand softly shakes my shoulder.

I slowly open my eyes, squinting at the bright setting sun. " What the fuck? " I ask, confused where I am.

A small chuckle fills my ears. " Y/N get the fuck up. "

" Yes. We're here. Joel and Sarah are already inside saving us a seat. "

Oh shit I'm in Wyoming.

I hop out of the truck and follow Ellie into a brightly colored diner. " This place looks awesome. "

" The foods fucking fantastic. " Ellie holds open the door, waiting for me to enter.

" Thanks. "

We spot Joel and Sarah in the corner booth and make our way towards them.

" Ellie? " A voice asks.

A short black haired girl grins at us from her spot at a nearby table.

" Cat! Hey, babe. " A bright smile breaks across Ellie's face.

Cat hugs Ellie tightly before placing a small kiss on her cheek. " I didn't know you were gonna be here tonight. "

Ellie nods. " Yeah. Um you remember my friend, Y/N, right? "

" You're Pen pal, right? "

Cat finally seems to notice me. Her smile slightly less happy.

" Yeah. This is Y/N. Y/N this is my girlfriend, Cat. " Ellie happily introduces us. "

" Nice to meet you, Cat. " She's pretty for sure. And her style is great too.

" You too! "

Cat quickly moves back to talking with Ellie. I awkwardly shuffle in my spot, unsure what to do. Eventually I make my way towards Joel and Sarah.

" Ugh, Cat's here. " Sarah rolls her eyes once she looks up from the menu.

" Be nice, Sarah. " Joel grumbles, obviously not a big fan of the girl either.

" She's so fucking clingy. Like let Ellie breath. Damn. " Sarah explains.

Joel ignores the comment and continues scanning the menu. " You've gotta try the lemonade, kid. It's made fresh everyday. "

I grin at the older gentleman. " I definitely will. "

We got home around 8. Ellie and Joel help me bring my bags into the house.

" We set up the guest room for you. It's right across the hall from Ellie's. " Joel pushes open the door.

" Thank you so much. You guys...you've done so much for me. " I turn to Ellie and Joel.

Ellie sets my suit case in the corner of the room. " Of course. "

" We love havin' ya here kid. " Joel ruffles the top of my head. " Have a good night. " He leaves the room, leaving Ellie and I behind.

" I was thinking maybe if you're not too tired tomorrow night we could have a movie night? " Ellie asks while leaning against the closet door.

Here's How I'd Fix S1 Ep5.5 of Link Click

I originally posted this outline on AO3 some time ago, but I wanted to share it here as well.

Link Click is one of my favorite animes/donghuas. For the most part, the show's writing is spectacular, but not everything is perfect. This is my attempt to constructively rewrite certain aspects of Episode 5.5 “Marrying by Contesting.” I’ve also reordered the episode to appear sooner in the series for a couple of reasons.

If someone has already figured this out, please feel free to add your thoughts and/or direct me to where this has already been said! I'd also love to hear your thoughts!

Warning: I haven't renewed my Crunchyroll subscription so I don't have access to screenshots right now, and the other sites I know of don't have Ep. 5.5 listed at all fsr.

Here’s how I’d rewrite this episode: 

1. (Timestamp: 8:36) Delete or rewrite this line calling the Nokia an “antique.” For instance, just change it to, “Put that away!” Let’s say CXS dived to the year 1990. This year is plausible for two reasons: Nokia phones were common, and Xu Wen has aged since then. Let’s also say that the current year in the present timeline is 2020. (Worldwide pandemics obviously do not exist in this world lmao) 

2. (Timestamp: 9:25) Remove this shot of Qiao Ling entirely. It could be a flashback, but it mostly looks like she’s watching them use their powers in real-time when she shouldn’t know about them. 

3. Change Xu Wen’s and Ouyang's present ages to approximately 50 years old, not 70-80. Change their appearances from all gray hair and hunched backs to brown hair with subtle grays. Making them look middle-aged makes the situation and timeline feel more believable. If they’re approx. 20 yrs old in 1990, they’d be approx. 50 yrs old in 2020. (Still a hella long time to stay unmarried because your gf’s dad beats you up every year lmao, but that’s the point.) 

4. Retitle/reorder Episode 5.5 to Episode 3 for two reasons. 

Reason 1: It wouldn’t suddenly interrupt the Doudou arc as an abrupt filler. 

Reason 2: The callbacks to Emma’s death make more sense and would line up like this:

Same — Episode 1 — “Emma”

Emma dies. 

Same — Episode 2 — “Secret Recipe”

CXS looks through noodle lesbian photos and asks, “I wonder… if we were ever to disagree, would we still be friends?” Lu Guang thinks back to the news of Emma’s death, but does not answer the question. 

Change — Episode 3 — “Marrying by Contesting”

Qiao Ling hears the news about the serial murders and wants to protect herself. She meets Xu Wen at the dojo and hears his story about how he’s fought his lover’s dad for approval for years. (Side note: Although she hears about the news, neither she nor CXS can know that Emma was one of the victims.) 

Change — Episode 4 — “To Lose, Not To Win”

The basketball episode becomes Ep. 4, not 3. Opens with Qiao Ling jogging. She may or may not be listening to the news again. It’s not necessary because both she and the audience know about the serial killings as implied at the beginning of Episode 3. It doesn’t hurt to add it in either because it adds the signature Link Click tension, though that in itself may be laying on the tension too thick. 

In the present, Chen Xiao approaches her, and the scene alternates with the gang training with Xu Wen. This is another reason why I’m more inclined for her to not listen to the news in this episode’s present because we already see the tension build up by showing Xu Wen’s dojo as Qiao Ling and the others are training. The characters could even have a conversation in which they briefly mention the serial murders, and there could be a single frame showing Lu Guang’s subtle apprehension over Emma’s death. 

Xu Wen is tough on them but supportive. Qiao Ling needs to fight her way to be strong. She and CXS progress at the same rate. Neither is more overpowered than the other, which would demonstrate the status quo for both sexes and not pander for just one or the other. (We need to show Qiao Ling’s development, not a live-action Mulan situation.) This would also offer an opportunity for more sibling dynamic behavior as Qiao Ling and CXS make mistakes and tease each other together. 

Back to the present. Instead of Lu Guang protecting Qiao Ling from Chen Xiao, Qiao Ling protects herself. Leads to funny interrogation—Chen Xiao is truly harmless, and Qiao Ling hasn’t fully harnessed her self-defense skills yet. 

Putting ”Marrying by Contesting” before this interaction also explains why Qiao Ling is able to fight both in this scene and later in Season 2. The only flashback we see of the gang learning from Xu Wen in the dojo (excluding that one mini short) is right before CXS sucker-punches Aunt May as Doudou. So having an additional flashback of Xu Wen’s dojo in “To Lose, Not To Win” develops Qiao Ling’s abilities and even CXS’s when he dives as Xu Shanshan twice and defends himself.

And the rest of the Season 1 episodes carry on as usual. Basketball -> Earthquake -> Doudou -> Xu Shanshan -> Liu Min’s capture -> Finale.

You rolled your eyes and went to the locker room and turned to the showers. you didn't understand how your friend Sasha fucked with him.

But it's not your business who does what with who, just as long as you didn't let anyone in your body until you saved it for marriage.

You showered, feeling eyes on you, you shook it off, aint nobody watching me. you bent down scrubbing your legs. You hummed a song your mother sang to you when you were little,once you were done you wrapped yourself in a towel after drying your body off.

when you turned around . you jumped at nothing since you expected something or someone to be there . you sighed to yourself, just scaring yourself for nothing.

"Hey Y/nnn~ were going to a party tonight can you come?" She said wrapping her arms around you. "Let me check."

You called your mom, on speakerphone. "Hey mama, can I stay the night at Sasha's? there's not gonna be 'nyone but us home and I don't want her to be alone" you said innocently "Of course baby, just be on time at school my love," your mom said and you hung up.

"is he gonna be there?" you said looking at Erik " duhh.. Hes my fuckbuddy , he has to come!" she said, Erik smiled and laughed.

I can tell Sasha's Slutty ass dressed her. my eyes went to y/n's ass, lord almighty she takes care of herself. "god damn. I love me some majorettes." I said. Shuri laughed.

" And ain't you fucking with her friend? Isn't Sasha gonna be pissy if you did something?" T'challa said Turning to me.

"Nah, like you ordered she's dying when I get her alone, her family fucks with my shipment, cops n all," he said. "Coldblooded," Shuri said.

"Coldblooded or keeping our asses out of jail, and either way, you not gettin to her. I will" T'challa said. Y/n and Sasha got in the car, she sat in the middle and Y/n was between the two.

Erik looked at her phone, she was on his Instagram, and his ego was fueled. He went to her ear. "play with me. I'm right here doll." he whispered. looking at T'Challa's eyes who stared at him threateningly through the rearview mirror.

I shivered at what he said, I do not have the time

or patience for him. I shook my head texting him, I didn't want Sasha to be mad at me if I flipped out.

I turned off my phone rolling my eyes hearing Erik laugh. He didn't deserve to laugh. When we got to the party Erik helped Sasha out and T'Challa helped me out. I wrapped my arm around his, and when we came inside the party we Looked like Atlanta's hot couple. " stick with me kay?" he said looking at me with gentle eyes, I smiled " I never planned on straying.. outside of school im nun' but a scardy cat." you said giggling. You heard his charming chuckle.

You looked at him with your eyes sparkling.

T'Challa pov.

The music was loud enough to overpower gunshots. good. Erik could get the job done, I don't know what Y/n had or how many drinks, but she was dancing and whining on me. I held her waist, leaning in and whispering "you better stop before I do something you or I regret" I said in her ear.

I had the patience of the gods today. I knew who her dad was too. The main man fucking up our operations and trying to get me in jail along with my members. Nicholas Joseph Fury, luckily the crazy bitch doesn't even know my identity or have information on any of us.

A loud bang was heard, and y/n stopped going to the noise but I stopped her. "you don't wanna do that baby" I pulled her back, and her drunken yet soft eyes looked at me, I felt so guilty.

"Someone could be hurt T' " she said, I got lost in her pretty eyes. "Your eyes are beautiful.." I mumbled.

THOUGHTS: today started with john's alchemizing spree! i really like the alchemy even though i can NOT understand how the binary and codes quite work. john does though. johns really smart about alchemy in sburb specifically. this section also has a lot of funny john faces. i love this guy

you kjnow what drives me crazy. the ACTUAL REAL TIMELINE of the intermission. or at least what it means for the rest of the comic. obviously the intermission is foreshadowing (esp when slick gets his eye and arm cut off; mentioning lord english; etc) but like. its MORE. when i first read homestuck i was under the impression that the intermission was just some other timeline in some universe. granted i dont remember slicks eye and arm getting nixed or karkat vantas reveal or lord english mention or anything that foreshadows anything. but NO! its NOT some other timeline! but it IS another universe. its ALTERNIA!!!!!!!!!!!

the story of jack noir (spades slick) as i know it is as follows: jack noir spawns in derse ==> commits a crime (probably shittalking the queen) ==> gets exiled to... um. somewhere. ==> i assume he meets karkat here? and stabs him. and karkats blood is revealed and then theyre friends ==> slick (now scurrilous straggler) is left on the green moon? exiled in rags ==> he builds a city ==> the felt's mansion is there also. they form gangs and become rivals ==> intermission starts; midnight crew infiltrates lord english's lair to get the vault prizes ==> slick goes in the vault and begins commanding karkat. if im wrong about any of this correct me im so curious

On the other side, Kakashi took his chunin exams age 6 (and states so in this scene) so really… wtf does he know he has been treated as a soldier since he was 5-6

Maito Gai: Best Moment

One of the sexiest scenes in all of Naruto, tbh. Gai just beat his enemy and then used the smallest twitch as an excuse to make one last painful hit.

Delightful. We love this man.

Gai’s favoritism really shined through here. We get worrying about Lee of course, but he couldn’t do much and Neji was his only student who had made it into the final’s of the chunin exams.

Personally, i voted for the suicide pact (which was a close second in this poll) but this was pretty shitty tbh

We especially love how soft he is to Naruto the entire time, holding no judgement (at least not vocalizing it) for the kid’s panic attack being over the possible death of his ex teammate

Gonna start by saying that Yamato was a kid, and did not have all of the information (he was told Kakashi killed Rin, but no one really knew the details of the incident except Rin and Kakashi)

And I totally agree about the beating being normalized in poc households😭. Your blog really helped me realize that my mom was kind of abusive (and I'm still kind of in denial about it) because over here it's so horrifying how normalized it is to beat your kids until they've turned black and blue.

ive never left America, so no. im sorry, i wish i was more connected to it a lot of the time but it just feels too late for that to me.

he never taught me his language either (Tiv) though he did speak it when he was around the house. but he wasnt around a lot. when i asked him why he didnt try to teach us he just shrugged like it wasn't a priority. he started staying in nigeria for most of the year only coming back for a few months every now and then so i probably wouldnt have picked it up even if he HAD tried.

I've never even called myself Nigerian, not because I don't want to be but because of the embarrassment of having to explain that yeah im Nigerian but... not really Nigerian. I wouldn't want to disappoint any REAL Nigerians by basically being raised as a white American kid and knowing nothing about Nigeria.

i've only ever had pounded yam and okra i think, it wasnt bad but it also apparently wasnt made properly. my mom would make it and my dad would be like "this isnt even real pounded yam what the hell is this" and then nothing would change the next time around haha. so i dont think i can say ive ever eaten Nigerian food, sorry. my oldest sister has tho, when she went to visit him. i hate spices though, they hurt too much, so i doubt I'd enjoy it. which i feel kinda bad about. but ive got a lot of issues about food, and being forced to eat food, so. yeah.

im not very caught up on the political situation over there, but from what my dads told me its not good. my dad is mostly interested in the education system though, its like his life's work and all he's ever wanted to was to be put in charge of it and get kids educated so they have opportunities like he did or something. idk. he thinks education is the key to making Nigeria better and i dont exactly disagree with his life mission but hey, I don't live there. what do i know.

he apparently helped get the current president elected in hopes that he'd be good, but it doesnt appear things are going well. Every time he'd come home when I was younger though, that was the main thing he talked about. Getting his guy elected.

BIOGRAPHY

Raised on Aurora Bay Drive, Sullivan Shaws family seemed perfect from the outside. His mom owned a small business in town and was a large part of the community. Everyone knew the Shaw family and everything seemed idyllic to the untrained eye. Sully graduated high school near the top of his class and was saving up money for the next couple of years working in town and attending the local college so that he could go to med school. He was the oldest of four and felt like he had to set the standard; especially considering that their father was a horrible drunk who had a tendency to disappear for days on end; leaving his mom to not only run her shop but to leave her raising four kids. Sully wasn’t the type to sit back and let things happen though and began helping his mom with work. It was aways instilled in him to take care of those who needed it most and he was why he wanted to also attend med school. He also had the grades to make it pretty far in life, but wasnt in a rush to leave and attend an Ivy League school yet.

Whether it was helping one of his sisters with school work or stepping in the middle of a bullying situation, Sully felt like he was always supposed to offer his help. He wasn’t a very confrontational person naturally though and would only ever step in based on impulse to protect the people he never wanted to see hurt. That was quickly followed with the realization he was in over his head and about to get beat up. Which happened a fair amount. But as long as his family was safe he would always step up for them.

Sully always felt like he always had to be the the one to keep things together, especially in response to his dad. For most of his early life he felt like being the big brother was something to always take seriously. And when he got into it with his biological father he came home and saw the man attempting to hurt his mom, Sully acted in pure impulse and stood up to him. Despite getting a broken nose for his interference, Sully made it perfectly clear that he wasn’t going to let anyone hurt his family. From his mom to his littlest sister Eloise everyone was going to be safe from his dad. His dad wasn’t required in their family to be complete and the man finally walked out on his mom officially. Eloise was only a couple of months old at the time, but none of it mattered when your father would rather throw a punch and ran off to find himself at the bottom of a liquor bottle. He sent nothing but divorce papers as a goodbye to the Shaws and Sully finally felt like things were going to be okay.

His mom struggled a bit to find her footing for a couple years but eventually fell in love again with a longtime friend and remarried. The man was someone that had gone above and beyond what so many others wouldn’t do and took on dating a single mother of four and treated them as his own. It didn’t matter that Sully was already a legal adult by that point, he still wanted to feel like they could be one big and happy family. He wasn’t scared anymore that someone could hurt his mom like his bio dad had, but he still felt this need in his family to look after things when he could. Sully was just relieved he could finally let his guard down and start to focus on what he really wanted to do in life.

The world had a habit of changing so fast though.

His oldest sister was helping keep an eye on Annalise and Eloise, while Sully was out at work all night at his moms shop. His mom and step dad had gone out for their anniversary and the oldest Shaw siblings were helping out with the family obligations. When he came home and noticed the police cars that surrounded his home he knew something had gone horribly wrong. It was a drunk driver on the road and his parents died on impact. Sully was beside himself over what had happened and before he could really process any of his grief, they had to bury his mom and step-dad

In the months that followed, Sully felt like he wasn’t really existing; instead just going through the motions of his life and unable to truly let himself fall apart. He would just smile and accept other’s condolences and hope to God they would stop talking to him about his dead parents. He felt incredibly overwhelmed and in over his head but he was trying to keep it all together. He had to stay a strong front for his siblings though. He had to make sure they could come to him even though he was trying hard not to spiral. He couldn’t let him see himself slipping. After all he was always going to be the protector, whether it was standing up to their dad or their bullies, Sully would always be there for them.

He was the oldest.

He was the big brother.

He had to keep it all together.

He had no choice.

When the town decided they were done morning the Shaws and moved on with their lives it was both frustrating and a relief. Sully hated being reminded of his families loss, so he was more than grateful to stop hearing “ Sorry about your parents “ but it did frustrate him that just because they were done mourning for his family it didn’t mean the Shaw kids weren’t done mourning their loss. People say a lot of pretty and nice things when it is right in front of them, but they move on rather quick; especially when things started to go south for the Shaw family. Those helping hands that were once offered were nowhere in sight.

And as the Shaw family had to close down the business, and CPS came and tried to split up the family or send his sister to live with their dad. None of the well wishers had tried to intervene on their behalf. It was all on Sullys shoulders and he had to act fast. He went to the few people in town he knew could help him and tried to build a case to be granted him custody of his two youngest sisters. With his oldest sisters help and a few faces he held dear to him on the outside he went to court and fought for the legal guardianship of his sisters Eloise and Annalise. When his father walked in and tried to portray himself as a good man and not the abusive alcoholic he really was; Sully had enough and stood his ground. It was emotionally taxing but by the time they had reached an agreement, Sully was granted custody of his two youngest sisters with his other sister staying with them to help out. He also vowed if he ever saw his father back in Aurora Bay, he would make sure he never saw his kids again.

While he was out of the woods in some ways, a whole new battle was taking place. Without the income of the shop, the legal fees, and four mouths to feed, the money left from his mom and step dad was drying up fast and, in order to save money, the four moved to Ocean Crest and both Sully and his sister took jobs in town to help.

It’s been a couple of years and even though the Shaws aren’t living the way they used to, they were as happy as they could be considering the circumstances. His sister Annalise might be in her angsty teen years and his little sister Eloise seems to think Sully is her dad, but they’re making it all work. He likes to think he’s doing the best job he can, but his issues with anxiety started to magnify ever since the death of his mother and step dad. He’s never had a moment to breathe since the accident and it’s only building up in him and had nowhere to go. The mourning he never did, the anger he felt toward his dad, the overwhelming sense of having to always appear perfect so he doesn’t lose his siblings, it was all starting to weigh down on Sully. It never ended. It never slowed down. And he just always smiled through it and hoped they didn’t see the ball of nerves he’d become. At a certain point Sully had started to be unable to sleep at night and would chemical ways to help him just so that he was able to get through the day. He was never going to touch alcohol because of his dad, and because of what had killed his mom, but Sully is aware he’s playing a dangerous game as he slowly slides into addiction and is hoping someone can give him the help he’s always been too scared to ask for his whole life. He was always going to be a protector, but what do you do when you can’t protect yourself ?

I love this idea. So much angst! So much tension! Such a hard journey for everyone involved.

From a writer's perspective, I think it would be really difficult to pull off if a happy ending is the goal. Not impossible, certainly. But for it to be realistic, rather than trite, you would need a really strong grasp of psychology. There are a lot of heavy issues to juggle here. It seems like it would need to be one of those epic length fics to be able to really dig down into all of it. I do not think I have the technical skill nor prerequisite knowledge to execute it properly, unfortunately.

I've got a hc for it already, though. I see the kid running away to Hakoda in the SWT at some point, probably as a 16-yr old (the thematic mirroring with Zuko! He goes to the SWT to meet his destiny and try to regain his place as heir while his son goes there to escape it - poetic!). And Hakoda has a Gramma Tala (from Moana) moment where he listens to the kid and validates him. And when Zuko and Katara show up, they all have a chat and abdication is acknowledged as an option. But the firebending sister bursts in (because eavesdropping and sneakiness is a family trait. on both sides) and is like "the fuck you say?! No!" because she loves her older brother and thinks he would make an excellent firelord actually and no he can't abdicate. And maybe if Dad hadn't outlawed Agni Kais for minors, there would be less of this stupid talk from the Fire Council because she she would've beat everyone down by now for insulting her brother.

I just want to see them all love and support each other unconditionally, y'know? And no, that doesn't magically fix all their problems, but it makes them so much easier to get through.

Ok so I know most people want the firstborn steambaby to be a girl firebender but hear me out, imagine the plot. Zuko struggles forming a father-son relationship with his waterbending son, who has a hard time trying to accept that he will be the next firelord. The fire nation wants to override his birthright and make his younger firebending sister the heir to the throne. This all leads him to be ashamed of his abilities and only use waterbending in secret. Zuko must teach him there is more to being firelord than awesome displays of power, all the while forming their bond as father and son. Katara must show him the beauty and strength of waterbending and to embrace it. Finally, he must prove his worth as a future leader of the fire nation to his people.
