Sirius has disappeared for longer than he said he was going to and you're starting to fidget more than normal. He said he'd be back, and you don't have a strange attachment to him or anything, but you don't know any of his friends that well.

You know Lily better than the others, that's how you met Sirius, but she's also disappeared. You sit back in the chair you're sharing with Sirius and listen to whatever it is Frank and James are talking about.

Sirius returns just when you think you're about to stare a hole into the rug under your feet. You startle when he bumps his knee into yours as he settles. You try to smile and fail horribly. You feel bad for missing your boyfriend so sorely - worse for struggling to talk to his friends.

"Sorry I took too long," SIrius apologises quickly.

He's got two new glasses full of cold pineapple juice in his hands. It sploshes over the brim with his quick movements. Cloudy yellow liquid tracks down his wrists. He leans over, the drinks pressed between the two of you, and kisses you on the cheek.

He hands you yours and licks his fingers quickly, wiping the rest on his jeans. A line of wet smeared up his thigh. You wrinkle your face up at his flippancy.

"Lily was showing me around," he tells you. You sip from your drink quickly and ignore the chill in your teeth. "They just renovated. James installed two shower heads in their shower."

"Really?" you gawp. You set your drink down on the table next to you.

"Yeah." He nods and scoots in closer to you.

"We should do that in your flat," he offers, stupid smile stuck to his face. "I think you'd love it."

"You think?" You're not really listening and you feel horrible for it. You wonder when you'll find the courage to talk to people without prompting. You'll wonder if you'll ever not need Sirius to calm you down before spending time with all of his friends. If you'll never be nervous ever again.

"Definitely," he says, half distracted.

He's reaching into his pocket suddenly, lifting himself up a little to reach deep down. He pulls out a small white tub with a screw-top lid. "I stole this from Lily's room," he says, opening it up.

You gawp. "What?"

He scoops some out and warms it up in his hands. Leaning over, he takes your own hands and starts massaging the cream into your skin. "Smells nice, hmm?"

You blink down at his hands. You know what he's doing. Spending extra time smoothing the cream into the backs of your hands and your wrists where you've rubbed them raw. Welts smattered across your flesh that you hadn't even noticed you'd inflicted. You didn't even know Sirius had realised. You never mention them to him.

You blink and blink and blink until you remember to respond. "Hmm, yeah. Uh - roses?"

"And hyacinth," he tells you, still rubbing your hands. The cream has been thoroughly absorbed now, you think he just wants to spend extra time touching you.

He rubs and rubs until your hands feel almost dry again. "I think it's a moisturiser,'' he says, fingers scraping over your fingernails. "Supposed to reduce redness."

You hum and grab his hands now, lifting them to your mouth. You kiss over his knuckles lovingly and hold him tightly. You want him to know how much you love him right now - it might be more than you ever have.

"Thank you," you say to him and hold his hands to your stomach. "Really."

He lets you lean your head on his shoulder with no problems, turning inwards to let you tuck your elbow into his side. "That's okay, lovely. Your hands still hurting?"

You shake your head and your hair ruffles up over his jacket. "Feel so much better."

"Good," he kisses into your hair, humming a soft sound. "Good. Tell me when they're hurting or if you can't stop scratching. You can hold my hands or I can rub some more cream into them."

"Yeah?"

"Of course." He steals his hands back to wrap his arms over your shoulders and holds you close. "If you're in pain, I'm here to help. Promise."

You think you really could cry but decide against it. Still, your throat feels thick, your mouth dry. You swallow back your sudden, loving upset and kiss his cheek instead.

"You're amazing." You think you might keep your head on his shoulder all night. "I love you."

"I love you too," he says slowly, squeezing your arm closer.

There's a moment where you find yourself listening to his friends, listening to Sirius laugh about whatever it is James is parading about. He still finds time to kiss your head sometimes.

"Hey, Siri?" you ask when he's finished laughing.

"Yeah, sweetheart?" he responds, attention almost immediately, solely on you.

"Did you actually steal that cream from Lily?" You really want to laugh. "You should probably give it back."

Sirius laughs, sounding really pleased with himself. "No, I asked to borrow some. I'll leave it here."

"Oh."

"Take a photo of it though?" he asks and put it in your lap.

"Why?" You do what he says anyways.

"So I can remember what it's called," he smiles. "I'll go buy some more."

He buys three. One for you, one to keep at his flat, and another for his car.

Just that passage + the possibilities make me insane. Like Armand as to have painted roman mythology scenes (since he was owned by a painter), he must know a lot of the stories. The way ���Venice planet of love was destroyed by global warming” functions in the context of the song supports the main theme with a sort of a self aware edge. Nobody is about how incredibly desperate the narrator is for human connection while being completely unable to connect with ppl. By bringing up Venus the meaning is basically like, “I have so much love in me but I want too much that I can’t have and it’s destroying me”. By bringing up global warming also there is an edge of “the world is a corrupt place that is falling apart and it’s preventing me from feeling like I’m able to be a person”. Which is all so Armand ‼️‼️ the imagery of a planet that has so much to give and so much to love being destroyed by the curroption of humanity is ugh, Armand to a tea. He was born an earnest, innocent child, with so much potential and sm love in his heart and anything he could have been was stripped from him horribly bcus men r fucked up and evil. He was a human made an object, a sterile environment as u said, omgg. And because of what he’s been through Armand is unable to connect with people or ever feel like he’s a part of the world or part of humanity. And I always felt like Armand gets so freaked out about this because he suffers from feeling unable to connect with other people or the world and unable to understand it, and I think for Armand seeing this becoming a wide spread issue for normal people is frightening cus of how he relates to it

the thing is tho, mhj has consistently been showing the public red flags. the lyrics of 'cookie (ik she didnt write the lyrics but shes the ceo. she got them approved)', the portraits gifted to her of naked underaged girls, her obsession w olivia hussey (who happens to look like minji), her treatment of sm employees, her past work w shinee (sexualization of underaged taemin), etc. not to mention her extremely (at least in my eyes) inappropriate relationship w nwjns. the gifts shes gotten them and how she uses their emotions as a weapon. if bhs did that, everyone would be up in arms.

nwjns is the worst off. theres a chance they might leave w mhj if ador does pull away from hybe, which isnt in the groups best interest. mhj's press conference and overall attitude is gonna affect their upcoming release fs, and their proximity to mhj herself is worrisome.

hybe doesnt seem to be doing shit to protect their artists, they're j protecting their name. theres no statement on or for illit, no statement on malicious comments for any of the groups (that i know of).

tldr: min heejin and hybe are both at fault. dont take sides of either, take the side of the idols.

“Got any fish yet?” Mayor Klaus smiled at a fisherman who sat at the edge of the bridge leading to Goldenleaf stables. The mayor was walking around the village enjoying the nice day and while he walked he checked in on the villagers. The fisherman looked to Klaus giving the mayor a frown and a shake of his head “sadly nothing yet mayor.” The man looked back at where his lure bobbed in the water “hopefully the waves will guide them to me!” The mayor watched as the lure slowly drifted back to the fisherman due to the waves pushing it to him. The waves were calm near the village, but were strong at the Dark Core oil rig. The mayor hoped that the people on the rig were alright. It must be awful to be hit by such strong waves. While the mayor wondered how the people on the rig were doing, the fisherman watched a shadow slowly rise to the surface. “What is that?” The fisherman got up getting ready to reel in what he hoped was a big catch. Klaus looked to the shadow in the water watching it get bigger and bigger as it slowly rose to the surface. The mayor thought it was a shark. The shadow was definitely big enough to look like it belonged to a shark. Fort Pinta had a shark there, maybe it swam over to the fishing village? The mayor was thinking that the shark had grabbed the poor fisher. As horrible as the sight would be the mayor had to help, so he turned getting ready to see a gruesome sight as he did. The man wasn’t met with a shark mauling a fisherman. Instead he was met with lots of people gathered together trying to get something out of the water. The villagers all worked together to pull something out of the water, and the mayor’s jaw dropped as he saw a person be laid on the bridge. Then a horse was being guided onto land. Some poor rider must have fallen in the water. The man thought the person on the bridge was dead, but they started to cough and squirm around. Klaus quickly burst into action as he realized he needed to get the village doctor and vet. The man changed his jog to a full run, and he ran all the way to the doctor and the vet.

Bright lights stung your closed eyes as you started to wake up. It took your eyes a few seconds to decide when was a good time to open. When you opened your eyes you deeply regretted it. Bright white lights hit your eyes hard making you wince, and cover your face with your hands. You sat up slowly doing your best to sit without the help of your hands. Your body hurt and you felt dizzy. Something was pricking your right arm, you wanted to check what it was, but your eyes still needed a moment to recover. Once you felt ready you removed your hands from your eyes. You squinted as you looked around the floor of the room. The floor was completely white and clean. So clean it reflected the lights on the ceiling. Your bed, the floor, and the contents of said floor were a great help for you to figure out where you were. You were in a hospital room laying down on a hospital bed covered by blue blankets, hooked up to a monitor that was beeping loudly and enjoying eye torturing lights. You survived… What about your horse? Were they okay? You had to find them, you had to get out, and look for your most loyal friend. You were about to get up, but your curiosity stopped you. The pain in your arm made you look to it, and you saw what was hurting you. It was a needle hooked up to a blood bag that hung from a pole. You hummed wondering if it was safe to take the needle out of your skin. You knew you lost a lot of blood during your run from Katja. You definitely needed the blood in that bag to live. Was it safe to take the needle out? You probably already got a lot of blood in you right? You weren’t too sure taking the needle out was safe so you decided to take the pole with the blood bag with you. You removed the blankets on you which made your body shiver instantly. You were wearing a hospital gown you wondered where your clothes were, but that didn’t really matter right now. You sat on the edge of the hospital bed slowly moving as pain hit your body. Your body was begging for five more minutes in bed, but your brain and heart were saying ‘find your horse.’ You could always rest later, right now you needed to look for your horse. You put your feet down on the ground shivering again as the cold of the floor traveled from your legs to your whole body. The monitor in the room showed a flat line, and let out a loud sound as you unhooked all the stuff reading your vitals. You managed to stand up, taking a shaky step forward and away from the bed. You had to be quick, the monitor was definitely going to alert the doctors and nurses of the hospital, and you didn’t want them to put you back in bed. Your legs were shaky, you felt like a newborn foal just learning to walk. The pole the blood bag hung from became something to hold onto. It was very helpful and you were glad it was in the room with you.

With the help of the pole you took more shaky steps. You needed to get out of the room quickly. As you walked to the door you thought of places to look for your horse. Where were you anyways? You needed to find out where you were first, and find a change of clothes too. You grabbed onto the handle of the door slowly turning it so it wouldn’t make any noise. Once the door was open you very slowly moved it. You didn’t want the door to creak, but you realized it didn’t matter anyways. The monitor was already making noise. You huffed, and quickly opened the door getting scared as you saw someone standing on the other side. You were looking at their shoes. You covered your mouth trying to think of excuses to why you were out of bed. Once you came up with a good one you quickly looked up. Your hand fell from your mouth, and you frowned “Anne?” The woman looked shocked she thought the beeping came from you dying. To see you alive was a huge shock. She stammered as she tried to think of something to say to you. Her hand was held out, she was about to open the door, but you did it first. Without thinking you took her hand pulling her to you, and you hugged her. You didn’t know if she would react to the hug well. Would she hate you? You did scratch the fuck out of her face a day ago. Wait how long had it been? Hopefully a day? Your thoughts on how long you must have been out for were interrupted by Anne moving. The woman hugged you back bringing you as close as she could to her. You started sobbing unable to control your emotions after she returned the hug. “I’m so sorry” you sobbed shaking your head. You were apologizing to her for how you clawed her face, fought her, and betrayed her. Anne did not say anything, she just held you. The woman cared for you, but could she forgive you? Could she really say she forgave you, and move on from the shit you did? Anne was angry, she was really angry with you, but she was still here. Because she cared, and because she had something important to tell you. She couldn’t bring herself to lie and say she wasn’t angry and that she would forgive you. Instead she said nothing, she just stood at the door holding you close to her as you cried.

You were found by a fisherman in Goldenhills” Anne sat by your bedside holding your hand. “He saw a figure in the water him and the mayor thought it was a shark” she was telling the story as she saw it in the papers. She saw it two days ago you had been out for three. “As soon as he was about to leave, your horse came out of the water” your horse was fine thankfully, and waited for you in Goldenhills. You really owed them they saved your life. Your poor horse deserved the world and more for their insane loyalty. “Then the fisherman saw you on their back, and he gathered a group to pull you out” Anne frowned. “The doctor at the village stabilized you, and then you were transferred here” you were in a hospital in the city. You had been to the city plenty of times so you knew your way around it. Once you left the hospital you were going straight for Goldenhills. Now you were caught up on everything. Anne cleared her throat, and you looked at her seeing how glossy her eyes had gotten. “Anne?” You frowned squeezing her hand “what’s wrong?” You worried for her. The leader had to tell you why she was here. Why it was only her and no one else. She told you everything you needed to know, and now it was time to move on onto something else. She had been stalling for long enough, and now it was time to rip the band aid off. The woman decided there was no reason to take this slow. She needed to tell you what she had, and she needed to tell you now. “Fripp sent me” she said to you letting go of your hand. You looked at your now lonely hand wondering why she let you go. “I waited for you to wake up so I could tell you that-“ her words became a lump in her throat. “That-“ telling you what Fripp had sent her here for was easier said than done. She looked down at her lap, her head hanging low, and she gathered strength for what she had to tell you. “After all the things that happened and all the things you did” you watched as Anne messed with the fabric of her shirt. “Fripp and the druids decided that the best thing to do about you is-“ Anne looked up at you. She had to look at you while she broke the news to you. No more looking down, and messing with her shirt, she had to look right at you so you could understand that what she was about to say was serious. Her looking at you made you nervous really, really nervous… What was she going to say?

“They decided the best thing to do is exile you” Anne felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders. For her the worst part was over but for you? It was just beginning. You shook your head not believing what Anne was saying. You laughed nervously “exile?” You really couldn’t believe it “Anne I-“ you laughed again “please let me talk to Fripp if I can explain that this is all just a big misunderst-.” Anne huffed “there is no talking to Fripp” she narrowed her eyes “what’s been decided has been decided.” She looked away from you “you betrayed us…” Anne was deeply hurt and she stood with Fripp in fact all of the Soul Riders stood with him on his decision. If you betrayed everyone over a lie so quickly what said you wouldn’t do it again? Anne and the others lost all trust for you.“He’s allowing me to stay with you until you leave the hospital” the air in the room became cold. You felt like crying, and you couldn’t hold back tears anymore as Anne said “I’m not here as a friend just as a Soul Rider making sure things are done.” She had to be cold to you now she needed you to know that there was no changing Fripp’s word. No matter how much you begged, or tried to prove you were still her friend Anne was not going to fight to change the verdict. She still cared for you not as much as she did before everything, but she still cared. At least enough to be at the hospital with you. Even though she still cared a bit she knew she needed to be cold to let you know shit was serious. She got her point across to you by saying she wasn’t your friend anymore, and by suddenly becoming cold towards you. You covered your mouth, you were horrified. Death was awful, but being alive and completely alone was worse. Fripp was smart, he knew this. He gave you the worst possible punishment. Death would have been so much better than being exiled. Everyone you knew was a druid, or worked with them in some way, and surely they would all know of your betrayal. Surely once you got out of the hospital everyone would turn you away. What were you going to do now? Where were you going to go? Exile was the worst punishment ever given by Fripp. The leader knew how horrible this punishment was. He saw it with Evergray he saw how well it worked. He wanted you to suffer for your betrayal… And suffer you would.

Louis <3 I think this is an affect of how likable and overtly sympathetic he is in the amc show but I've seen people getting genuinely offended over Louis being described in fandom (and by Anne rice herself) as a manipulative cold hearted ass who uses his perceived vulnerability and gentleness to distract from the fact that he is just as cruel if not crueler then the other vampires. Like Louis does nottt have strong morals or high empathy lmao. Book Louis weaponizes his privilege like a white woman crying to self victimize into making the other vampires look worse them him 😭 . He refuses to kill humans for a while not bcus it hurts him to take life (he actually takes more pleasure in it then most), he refuses bcus he has catholic brain the way a christians who say "how do atheists have morals without god?" do, misunderstanding that most people actually care about other people and dont need an existential threat to encourage them not to hurt others.

His moral compass is self centered and based in up keeping the appearance of self restraint and monk style lack of enjoying himself, not empathy. If a vampire killed u would u feel better if u knew he cried over how much he got off on it then flaunted his suffering over how little he indulged so that everyone knew how piosis he was 😭.

He is way worse when it comes to how he treats his victims then Armand who intentionally seeks out victims who r asking to die or Lestat who tries the vigilante approach. I think the common fandom perception of Armand as the crazy unhinged "omg I can't believe he actually did that in the books??" sadistic maniac villain guy is funny but not really accurate. Armand explicitly not only tries to avoid violence but dislikes it and finds it hard to comprehend why someone would seek out violence and conflict.

The reason he is always doing fucked up shit isn't out of a lestat-esc desire to cause chaos, it's bcus his highly strung ptsd brain has him convinced that the world is a battle ground and he must always be defending himself and acting out in violence.

Since acting out in violence is a reaction hes been taught throughout his life to be standard and necessary, as violence is something so normalized to him he considers it more of a tedious chore then a last resort measure, he usually reacts to conflict in ways that are objectively extreme to anyone who isn't thinking from his perspective. In qotd he even asks Daniel why men choose to fight in wars, explaining that he doesn't understand the draw of violence (bcus he's not a man) and he can't comprehend the supposed thrill of it.

nahh i feel like once taemin finally finishes his military service, i’m gonna get off shinee for sure. 😔

i’m not saying that i hate them, but i’m starting to miss them. it just doesn’t feel the same anymore and now seeing the exclusion of jonghyun (which i’m not including sm entertainment because they’re legally required not to profit off him which fair enough) and even how people would chat shit about us blingers is what i had to go through. but i feel like my final straw was when i saw my friend getting harassed online when he just wanted to get into shinee for the first time in years. ngl that really fucked up my view of shawols and it kinda put me off them. but not in a way that their songs suck, but it’s actually because i think “that” ruined everything for me.

i know some members are having a comeback soon (or they’ve already did) which are taemin and key…? (i think) but anyways i will be checking them out but i don’t know if i could ever check out their group songs if they’ll make a comeback next year or something. kudos to anyone who is still excited for their new songs, but i think i’ll just pass for now. i love shinee to bits, but i don’t think i will be listening to their new music anytime soon.

I understand, I honestly couldn't even watch the music video for their first comeback after they were all together. Like I just couldn't finish the video and I know full group comebacks are just hard for me to enjoy. But I can handle their solo projects and There really isn't an exact pain free option but I know you love Shinee and Jonghyun and letting go hurts but holding on hurts also. I Think that it's okay if you don't want to engage with their upcoming comebacks that's fine. And it's horrible the fandom has treated you and your friend so terribly, it's not fair and it not okay and neither of you deserve that treatment and it's understandable why it completely turned you off the fandom. I think the only thing is to just love Jonghyun and Shinee and listen to what makes you happiest and most comfortable. You shouldn't feel bad for not wanting to listen to new songs, its completely understandable. I know I personally can't. I can't even say the f-o-u-r word when it comes to them it doesn't feel right. I only got into kpop like a few months ago but of course past scandals pop up and like getting into stray kids obviously you discover the woojin scandal. For some reason that case and soojin's case are just haunting (maybe I'm too emotional).

And honestly it's frightening and sickening any random person can ruin some else's career simply because they have decided they don't like this person, or were bored. And they delete their accusations online and even say they were bored which is just psychotic behaviour.

What's even worse than that is it actually works! They do manage to hurt an idols reputation forever. Like yeah others say SM might be working behind the scenes and will eventually take action, but while they silently "work behind the scenes" an idol's carefully crafted reputation gets publicly destroyed. Idk if the situation will be resolved this year but the blatantly racist remarks, cyberbullying and "jokes" will follow lucas for a long time and it's just so frustrating to watch.

Why is it so easy to screw over an idol. As if idols don't go through enough from their own companies, fans, general public(being overworked, or ignored completely, extreme dieting not allowed to date or behave like a human with a personalitysometimes)...like the least they can do is publicly protect their idols who make them money. Writing an apology letter and disappearing cannot work every single time. "If it isn't broke don't fix it" well this method is horribly broken, find a new formula. Why hire lawyers for a company and not publicly make statements about investigations and taking action whether it's true or false?? Isn't that the normal thing to do?💀💀

It's just such a 180 for an international fan because cheating and bullying, while absolutely bad are not incentives to cancel someone over.

The thing about those antis that are saying those things about Lucas (and will keep saying them regardless of what is proven) is that they were never really fans. They were the people who claimed to be fans and then made colorist "jokes" and insulted him and when they were called out for it, deleted their tweets and just retweeted those things on priv...

From now on regardless of what happens the truth is that most of these people will keep believing that he did these things. I saw a Woojin TikTok today (it showed up on my fyp) and half the comments were questioning why he could continue his career, completely ignoring (or just bring new fans and going by what they hear from other fans) that he has been proven innocent by the Seoul police department....

I hope Lucas's is ok, and that things can go back to normal soon.
