"Why Would You Bother With Me?" - An Analysis of Kitsunami, 09/07/2024

so like when I first read this panel my reaction was just to joke with Cori that this is a "get out of my school" moment (iykyk) but I've been thinking about it a lot recently because I... couldn't remember any specific beef Kit had with Tails?

Last we saw of them interacting one-on-one, Tails was talking Kit down from fighting, and Kit's beef with the squad later was more with Sonic than him. Tails didn't take down Surge in #56 or even affect the fight in any way, and Sonic was the one who told Kit that Surge was dead beforehand. At least that I could remember, so I went back to those comics. Indeed, in #56 he shows no animosity towards Tails specifically, nor when he talks to Surge in #55.

Then I went back to #54.

See, he does seem to blame Sonic entirely for the Surge death fakeout, and he thinks that Sonic is literally trying to kill her when he walks in. But he does have one (1) reaction to Tails, right at the end of the interaction.

In the previous issue, after Sonic and Tails saved his life, Kit immediately switched on his subservient personality and was desperate for any kind of validation from the hedgehog. We only see it for a few panels before he is told about Surge and sinks into a depressive state, but it's made very obvious.

And when he leaves to help?

Kit's conditioning under Starline means that he is excessively codependent on Surge– and if Surge isn't around, on anyone who is nice to him. The hypnotic repetition shown to us was "You live to support Surge. You'll do anything for her." Kit's sole purpose in life is to be a Support party member.

Kit's conditioning was to be the new Tails.

Starline wanted Surge and Kit to replace Sonic and Tails– that much was obvious from the get-go. But what was also obvious was his fundamental misunderstanding of Sonic and Tails's dynamic and how that negatively impacts Surge and Kit's relationship.

Starline completely misses the strong sibling bond that Sonic and Tails have. To him, Tails is just there to support Sonic, to provide the brains and tech that Sonic lacks, and so Kit needs to be there to support Surge in the same way. He sees it only as a business partnership, and not a mutual relationship built on trust, love, and shared experiences. Starline only saw other people as tools, so obviously he projected that onto Surge and Kit, hoping that they would immediately take up the closeness that Sonic and Tails did because, well, they served the same purpose to each other, right?

Except Surge and Kit don't have that relationship. These two children were forced into the same proximity and made to work together. They're coworkers at best, being told to act like a family.

Obviously their dynamic is super toxic, with Surge clearly holding a lot of power over Kit, but it's also clear that this isn't because Surge wants to beat on the kid. She was made to be Sonic, and so she has his arrogance (and possibly Shadow's, considering IS1 showed his image when Starline was talking about stealing abilities), but, as Boom!Sonic says, "Without any of the awesomeness to back it up." Okay, wrong, she's plenty awesome, the correct phrase is "Without the experience" and, most importantly, "without the altruism that makes Sonic Sonic." Surge wasn't programmed to like the people she saves, because that would conflict with Starline's goal to take over the world. So she's only made to be competitive and to want to best Sonic, anyone inbetween them be damned. This clashes with Kit's programming to not only be liked, but to be liked by Surge. Surge was also programmed to believe fully in herself in order to enhance the arrogant trait, and Kit was made to give her the help that she doesn't want.

To Surge, Kit represents everything holding her back. And she's not built to view him as a person, because Starline doesn't view him or her as people. Obviously this doesn't absolve her of her treatment of him, and later issues showing her getting more and more aware as she becomes more social is definitely going to impact the way she views him– or, if it doesn't make her reconsider Kit's personhood, it'll serve to make her more antagonistic for the viewer.

But the point is, Sonic trusts Tails because he knows and respects him as a person. It isn't just because Tails can help him, but because he knows Tails will. Surge, at this point in the comic, not only doesn't view Kit as a friend, she doesn't even care what he thinks or feels.

And despite the brainwashing, I don't think Kit is oblivious to this. He knows how bad their situation is, but he is so conditioned to accept it that he can't escape it whatsoever. In both fights with Tails, Tails talks him down easily because Kit doesn't want to hurt anyone. Kit only reacts violently when Surge is brought up, because he's meant to do anything she wants.

Like he said to Belle, he was made for Surge. And what he says directly after– "Sonic can use me, too." Kit doesn't even view himself as a person, only a tool– that's how far Starline's brainwashing went. It's clearly even affecting Surge, who realized in the latest issue, #72, how fast she and Kit fell into their abusive patterns again once Clutch took over– they were conditioned to be tools. Clutch claimed to want to help them, but really he was just using them for his own ends, just like Starline. So they went back to the familiar.

And speaking of familiar– pain is familiar to Kit, specifically pain in service to others. In his breakdown in #50, he says that Starline made him happy he'd been hurt. And in Imposter Syndrome #3 and #4, we see that him and Surge hate Starline and want to usurp him... but also are still trapped in the patterns he implanted in them. Surge still wants to kill Sonic and outperform everyone else. Kit still can't do anything but what she wants, to the point he becomes near catatonic when he believes she's dead.

Another pattern Kit is still trapped in is the idea that he has to be okay with his own suffering.

The only sense of home or family Surge and Kit have is in each other, but they fundamentally can't work together, at least as they are currently. Kit is expected to take Surge's anger, and Surge isn't expected to treat him like his own person.

And this, I think, is Kit's problem with Tails.

He was made to be Tails, and he knows this, but he can never have what Tails has. He can never live up to Tails and do what Tails can do, despite that being his entire life's purpose.

He doesn't hate Tails because he was programmed to– as he says to Surge, he only wants to destroy Sonic because she wants to. When he first encounters Tails, he refers to him as his target- a simple, unemotional term. He doesn't have the deep ingrained hatred for him that Surge does for Sonic.

Instead, he hates Tails because of what he sees in him. He sees Sonic and Tails interact, he sees how much Sonic trusts and relies on Tails, and he sees how he also loves and respects him. He sees how Tails has his own motivations and opinions, and he's experienced Tails's genuine compassion that was in part fostered by the hedgehog that raised him. In turn, Tails is loyal to Sonic, but not because he has to be�� because he, in turn, loves Sonic and wants to be with him.

Kit only wants to be with Surge because he was forced to. Starline wanted to use Surge and Kit to stop Sonic and Eggman's cycle, but he made a whole new one instead. Kit is trapped in a cycle of pain, knows he's trapped in it, and is helpless to escape it.

Tails isn't, and Kit sees that in Tails. Subconsciously, he sees Tails and only sees how he fails to live up to his life's mission, and how he'll never have what Tails has.

After all, why would anyone bother with him? They already have Tails.

Is he a target? I like it here now.

okay i know im team chaotix centered but god dAMN i am shaking screaming crying after the sonic 3 trailer it was sososo good

one thing that i am actually nervous for though is how paramount is going to take shadow and tails's relationship in the third movie

now i KNOW that in the trailer shadow pulled one of his kicks on tails again but yknow. he beat the shit sonic and knuckles too. i dont think its that personal as everyone thinks. i'd argue he hurt sonic and knuckles even MORE than tails: the fox just got a simple kick while sonic got SLAMMED into the air and knuckles got his wrist bones gone. reduced to atoms.

i just hope. HOPE. that they dont give shadow and tails that stupid fucking beef between eachother like in some sonic media. i know shadow just spent most of his life in a pod for 50 years and just went through immense emotional pain and trauma but i genuinely do not think that shadow is immature and or irrational enough to hold a forever grudge towards a kind-hearted child he barely knows. he's an antagonist, not a monster

ALSO about amy and rouge not being in this movie (god DAMN you paramount write a fucking WOMAN for ONCE PLEASE) im also hoping that MAYYYBE possibly that tails might be the one who reminds shadow of maria (if they'll include something similar to sa2) because sonic just. i dont see him being a parallel to maria at all im sorry and i think why knux wont is obvious. also the fact that tails has a bunch of similarites to maria (blonde hair, blue eyes, in the child stages, innocent, love for science, calm and mature-like etc etc) ALSO another reason for why the shadow and tails beef shouldnt have happened in the first place

i am clinging onto the slight dynamic changes sega has been making with shadow and tails over the years as i manifest their friendship in the third movie (the shadow the hedgehog game where they both fight alongside eachother and consider one another allys, mosth where tails and shadow talk with eachother and banter casually, that one tailstube video where tails INTENTIONALLY gives shadow a gift i am still weeping happy tears over that)

tails could even be what makes shadow slowly trust in familial love again after his heart's been shattered back at the ark

"What are those 'freaks' exactly?" Steve asks from the back seat of the car. He does have a vague idea but it's not something that comes up in daily conversation or gets covered in classes. He's not even interested in going, but his parents rarely take him anywhere, so when his mom mentioned that a freak show came to town and she wanted to check it out, he backed her up and his father reluctantly agreed to make it a family trip.

“Human curiosities,” his mother answers, which explains nothing to him.

“Mother Nature’s fuck-ups,” adds his father, making Steve frown. 

Wasn’t nature supposed to be orderly and thought out? Meticulously crafted by evolution or god’s plan, whichever you believed in? (Steve’s teachers had a confusing beef about it.)

Then again, nature invented spiders, which Steve would consider a fuck-up on its part. He remembers Dustin telling him about a comic about a spider-man. The thought of a human-shaped arachnid makes his skin crawl and he loses all his curiosity on the topic. Suddenly the family trip doesn't seem so fun anymore.

The short drive to the empty fields on the outskirts of Hawkins is filled with the Top 40 playing on the radio. His father taps his fingers to the beat of some of them, proving against all odds that he's capable of enjoying trivial human things. Steve loves to sing along and dance in the confines of his room but here, trapped in a car with his parents, he just bops his head slightly, not wanting to disturb the silence.

The freak show is a lot like the circus his uncle took him to once. There is a scattering of tents and trucks in varying sizes, all in a similar, kitschy theme of a fun fair. The air even smells of popcorn and hot dogs.

His mother scrunches her nose as soon she steps out of the car.

“This is not what I expected,” she comments, eyeing the scattering of kids and families running around.

“Well...” His father slams the door shut, pulling out a cigarette even before locking the car. “These things are dying off because of human rights activists,” he says around the cig he's trying to light. “Guess they had to rebrand to keep the business afloat.”

It's Steve’s turn to scrunch his face. His dad makes everything about business and money, even something supposedly fun, like a Sunday family trip to a fair; freak show, circus, whatever this is.

“It used to be a huge tent with displays. Now each of them gets their own? Who do they think they are?” his mother laments while hanging onto her husband’s arm, while Steve tails behind.

They pass a tent with a Siamese Twins sign hanging from the front, with a man at the front of the line, gathering money and letting people in. Nearby is another tent, occupied by a Bearded Lady, then a Half-man Half-wolf behind it. The line to that one is particularly long.

The Harringtons agree to take a walk around and decide which ones they want to spend money on, and whether it's even worth it. They've already paid an entrance fee that gives them access to most of the attractions anyway.

They pass a couple of smaller booths, a face-painting clown, and a juggler, before reaching the biggest tent in the center. In front of it stands a chalkboard with a schedule of main events. According to it the next show, between 1 pm and 2:30 pm, was a music performance, pricing a dollar per song: The Twisted Jukebox. 

Steve decides to stay back, with a couple of bills burning in his pocket, while his parents keep exploring.

The light coming in from the top of the tent illuminates a box in the stage center, throwing a long shadow against the soft glow. As he comes closer he realizes it's a jukebox, and he wonders what could possibly be so special about it to warrant an hour-and-a-half-long performance slot. The sign says 'a dollar per song', but does it even take bills?

He decides that the couple of minutes left until the start gives him enough time to examine the machine. It isn't as close to the edge of the stage as he’d like but he presses against the wooden construction nevertheless, cocking his head to the side. The jukebox looks off, different from the ones he'd see at diners, but he can't exactly put his finger on why.

“Hi! Would you like to request a song?”

The sudden voice to his left startles him into bumping his elbow against the stage. He winces as he turns around.

A blonde girl is smiling at him apologetically. She's wearing a short green dress, with a jacket he's seen on other circus staff thrown over her shoulders. She must be involved in the show, then.

He glances back at the jukebox, the song list unreadable from his vantage point.

“What are my options?” he asks, looking at the girl again. 

“Any song works!” she says with a bright smile, and he frowns at her, confused.

"That's not how jukeboxes work," he observes. But her smile only widens.

"This one does," she assures him. "So?"

His mind blanks in when put on the spot like that, but he thinks back to the songs he's heard on the radio today.

"Madonna's Material Girl?" he suggests hesitantly. For some reason, she laughs.

"That's perfect. You're the first one today, so you'll get the honors. Do you have a token already?"

The face he makes must be answer enough because she smiles and produces a coin from her pocket. Or a poker chip painted gold to resemble a coin.

"I hope you have a dollar because I don't have any change yet."

He remembers how gigs work, that you have to pay the performers, and dives into his pocket. He didn't take much with him, but one dollar isn't a problem. He exchanges it for the golden token.

"Follow me." The girl motions at him and turns around abruptly. Stunned, he does as he's told until they reach the steps on the side of the stage. She moves aside as if expecting him to go up there.

He's confused as all hell. Is this how all circus performers were? Freaks in both senses of the word?

The girl chuckles at him and she's too cute for Steve to be offended but it's a close call.

"Hop up there, put the coin in the slot and the show will start. I'll come get you after that."

His confusion triples down but he's used to nodding along when a cute girl talks to him so that's what he does now as well. Blondes are not exactly his type, but maybe he could ask her out and show her around town later.

"Okay," he says before stepping on the stage. When he turns around the girl is gone and he hopes it's not some kind of twisted joke.

The sunlight coming through an open flap on the tent's dome lights the stage, casting the surrounding audience in shadows, which Steve is grateful for. He doesn't want to know what kind of faces they are making looking at the dumbass on stage approaching a jukebox.

It looks almost like any other he's seen before, though the paint job is custom. Twisted Jukebox is written at the top in scratchy letters, and the sides are painted with images of fantastical creatures: dragons, unicorns, and the like. Not Steve's style but someone did a good job on it.

The songs list though, is... peculiar. It has things like:

Anything by Metallica, please,

No Wham! I beg of you,

Country over Pop.

Steve wonders briefly if he had even woken up this morning. Everything from the moment his mother proposed a family outing has been too weird to be real.

Finally, his eyes land on the colorful slot with an arrow pointing to it saying "$1 - 1song". He rubs his thumb over the token he's been given before flipping it sideways and sliding it in.

The coin rattles inside like it just fell through into an empty box. He frowns.

The latest chapter was so good! I have no words asdfghjkl the letters, Shadow’s strong reactions, Amy’s new family. All of it was just amazing🥲🫶

GAH, that's so kind. When I tell you that this chapter and I were beefing... Man, I fought hard for this one. Pulled it together in the minutes I had between meetings, and really had to do some puzzling out to get all the moments to work. So it makes me so thankful that you left this message and that people have loved this one! There's a lot of work I'm proud of in this chapter - Shadow and his dramatic dialogue, Amy's letter, I even LOVE the little Knux and Rouge banter, Rouge's bits of wisdom, and the Tails and Amy moments. I don't know why, but when I write Tails and Amy it just devolves into tenderness. They are such a sweet pair. Someone draw me that cheek kiss, it's just so cute!!!

For real though, thank you. To know that the hard chapters are still beloved makes the work feel so rewarding. The support is insanely touching and so, so special!!!

My Thoughts on Sonic Prime Season 3 (Spoilers Ahead!) I'm going to structure this in a sandwich style of reviewing, because there's a lot of good, a bit of bad, and a decent chunk of lame shit. Let's hop in, shall we? The Best: Grim Big Let's start this review off with the thing I adored about this season the most: GRIM BIG, BABY!!! Grim Big is the funniest shit ever and I loved every moment he was on screen The Lame: The Grim Bots (Minus Grim Big) The Grim Bots are cool in concept, but they just don't really do anything and have no notable personalities. They're just there as fodder. Alpha Grim Sonic does get a TINY bit of personalization in episode 5, but that is ENTIRELY carried by Shadow challenging him to "prove his worth" and the mild scowl AGS gives in response. Also the Grim Birdies are the most annoying fucking things in existence and I hate their sound effect. Alpha Grim Sonic could NEVER be Chaos Sonic.

The Great: Fight Scenes One of the best aspects of this season was the fight scenes (minus the ones within the Kracken and Mothership) by far. All of them are such a treat to my eyes and I loved every second of it. The Lame: Inconsistencies The writing seems to pingpong in tone a lot. One minute everything is hopeless, and then sonic has a plan. That plan falls apart due to infighting, rinse and repeat. Nine also feels a little inconsistent, as sometimes he's angsty, sometimes he's cocky, and sometimes he's manic. It's pretty jarring. Dread is also inconsistent. He said in either episode 2 or 3 that he had no incentive to fight, and then in episode 4 onwards, he's fighting with enthusiasm. He really only gets an actual incentive in episode fucking 6, which he abandons IN THE SAME EPISODE.

The Good: Nine While Nine was a bit inconsistent at times, he was still pretty good in this season. I can tell the VA and animators really tried. I just wish he was given a better and less inconsistent script. He gets really good in the final 3 or so episodes.

The Bad: The Retro Scene Just like in other seasons of Prime, the retro scene was pretty bad. But I feel that this season, it felt especially cheap and unnecessary. It looked like a fucking flash animation. Not even dialogue this time. It was pointless too because the entire first season had Sonic reminding Nine of him and Tails' friendship.

The Extra-Enjoyable: Jack, Squad Commander Red, and Renegade Knucks All three of these were great. Some were greater than others (Renegade Knucks was definitely the best by far and was the one of the only characters I can definitively say I cared about. Like, Renegade absolutely STOLE the show.) I enjoyed watching them on screen. Again, some more than others (I love you, Renegade Knucks), but all were enjoyable nonetheless. The Thing I'm Undecided About: Sappiness Sonic is a sappy guy. I am more than aware of that. However, I feel a few scenes put too much sappiness for the scene, or used sappiness when it could be used elsewhere. For the sake of being fair, the sappiness in the final episode WAS a good use of it. Overall not my biggest problem with the season. (I ran out of bads so the sandwich style ends here)

The STUNNING: Animation The animation in this season was PHENOMENAL. Multiple times this season, my brain was just in constant awe with how good it looked. Everyone was super expressive and bouncy. Definitely amazing. The Peak: Shadow Shadow was GREAT this season. I loved his interactions almost as much as I loved Renegade Knucks. Definitely the best Shadow has been written in a WHILE. It was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise flanderized character. We got a bit of Shadow in season 2, but this is where I think he really shines. I certainly will not forget the ultimate lifeform beefing with a 9 year old. Peak, honestly The Very Nice: Rusty I feel Rusty had more time to shine this season. She had more lines, her animation was more expressive, and even her voice actress seemed to read her lines with a bit more emotion. I especially liked her monologue against Alpha Grim Amy. Show's still not canon though :)

I like to think that the master emerald is sentient to some degree,it also sits on a higher consciousness in my interpretation, which is a good explanation for the visions. Trying to explain something while being on a higher level is like talking to a fully functioning adult baby,it's just easier that way. It also can control angel island almost like a more relaxed puppeteer gimmick,this comes in later.

So,when future knuckles eventually dies,the mater emreald turns him maybe into a giant flower of sorts,some kind of plant. Maybe he becomes a ghost,or my favorite one is that the master emerald turns him into a bright red chao that can like speak and stuff.

Shadow heads onto angel island for whatever reason and a really big red chao (like...he's dog sized. Take this as you will) that sounds just like knuckles,and IS knuckles but a chao. Comes over and is like "what are you doing here...oh hi shadow"

Tails finds out somehow and knuckles, refusing to admit to anyone,is really excited to see him thriving and making inventions,even though he doesn't really understand him.

I also like to think that knuckles has the same amount of strength as he did when he was an echidna so he just this absolutely beefed up chao which can hold the master emreald like a jug of milk

I think the thing I love about forces rewrites is all of the bulletpoints and seeing how different people hit them differently

For example, you always have your core points to hit:

Eggman took over the world

Sonics been locked up for six months

A resistance formed to go against eggman

Tails split from said resistance

Infinite was hired by Eggman and has beef with shadow

Phantom ruby business

But then there’s the questions where you get to decide how close you want to stay to the game and test your creative freedom:

What was shadow doing in the six months?

What did Tails do by himself

Are we keeping Silver? If so how/why is he here?

i just spent all day playing The Final Horizon 😎😎 initial thoughts under the cut!! (minor spoilers of course)

So the cool thing is: Amy, Knux and Tails are playable in 3D for the first time in 17 years! The not-as-cool thing is... well, they're playable in 3D for the first time in 17 years. They sat out for the whole 2010s, and for me they feel the part.it's taking me conscious effort to adjust to their new movesets, but all the super-precise platforming mini-gauntlets floating about are helping

I remember seeing Shadow Boost in Generations and wondering how his and the other characters' full movesets might differ from Sonic's. I remember thinking, maybe in the next game we'll find out--the little-story, Sonic-only thing will blow over by then, right? I was in middle school. So seeing his friends Boost now is like... man.

I ignored the game's "hey go over here" prompts for hours to fill out the map and unlock/practice everyone's moves. Then i jumped off high places to find More Stuff way before i was probably meant to lol. Every time i considered furthering the plot, i saw an even higher place tempting me to keep Classic Spyro-ing that shit, it was great

Earlier you speculated that sage would be another Metal Sonic i don't think so First, she clearly remembers what she called "father", Secondly, respecting the enemy while being hostile was drawn with shadow and jet. Furthermore, Metal Sonic, who wants to get revenge on Sonic, and Sage, who shows respect for Sonic, have different character interactions. I don't think she will become a meaningless repeat boss like zavok. I think sage can become tails for Metal Sonic An atmosphere that strengthens him and respects him Or rather, when blaze debuted, she was just Sonic the Fire, but in the next installment, she also explored her world. In other words, I think it's difficult to judge characters that aren't just from one work based on that work alone.

Considering how often Metal Sonic has either been dropped or other robots Eggman has made (I.E. Omega) Eggman has been very dismissive to, I don't think SAGE is gonna be 'like the Tails to Metal Sonic's Sonic' or whatever you claimed here.

Also, what is your damn beef with everyone who doesn't like SAGE? Find people who love SAGE like you do, stop coming over to get huffy and puffy with me.

I thought of a new au idea from reading a fanfic, Underlife or lifetale not sure yet. But it's basically all monsters are angles or demons, this is determined by your actions in your past life, the more pure your soul is the stronger the angle, the more trauma, suffering, or just bad actions you've committed the stronger the demon. Angels can fly and use magic, demons cannot. It is very possible to become a fallen angel

It takes a VERY strong angle to kill a demon but any level of demon can kill an angel, which is why demons are highly feared, chased off, and resented. Tldr demons are treated badly.

Of course there is a 'heaven' and 'hell' and this story takes place in heaven. And the remembrance of your past life is a very rare thing, most people know bits and pieces, like how they died, but not all of it. Most demons have a specialized 'thing' of theirs, basically an equivalent of angels magic.

Also this mostly takes place in snowdin and with the skele 'brothers' (you'll know later)

Frisk- a young, inexperienced angel who wants people to see that not all demons are bad, they are not pure enough to kill a demon. They remember their past, all of it. Their wings are not very big and they can't really fly, at all. But they have a big Halo and an even bigger heart. Main colors are red white and gold.

Chara- a younger demon frisk befriended, they usually hide in frisk's Shadow, their power it controlling shadows, they're made of darkness, a very strong demon. Just like frisk they remember their past, all of it. Has black/red wings that aren't too big, they have 4 horns and a pretty long black to red tail. Main colors are red, black, and green.

Flowey- a younger angel turned demon frisk befriended, he is a plant and does what he does in the base game, and follows through the ground, sometimes popping up to give advice or warning, when needed, him and sans have some sort of unexplained beef with each other. He is not as strong as Chara and can't beat them but he is very strong. His demon power is plants, and sometimes lightning 👀. Just like the other two remembers his past, won't talk about it though. He doesn't have wings, he is a flower, but he looks demonic and has 2 horns. Main colors are dark blue and black.

Papyrus- he is a strong, pure angel that befriended frisk, he has the power to kill a demon but would never, because he thinks demons are just misunderstood and has the same motivations as frisk. But he still really wants to be in the royal guard and is very good friends with undyne, she hasn't let him in for the same reason as cannon, too nice. He loves his brother very much! He has big strong wings, more than enough for both him and his brother! Also a set of two Halo's! He remembers barley anything of his past life. Main colors are gold, white, and deep magenta.

Sans- a VERY strong demon, stronger than Chara, befriended by frisk, he claims to be too lazy to do anything too anyone, all of snowdin loves him (and papyrus) and doesn't snitch on him to undyne, they all claim 'it wouldn't be snowdin without him'. He loves pranks, and teasing people, but he makes sure nothing gets out of hand and they're all harmless in the end. His power is eye related, think he sneezes and like 50 eyes just open in is wings, he can use 'shortcuts' as he calls them. Sees all. Has medium sized wings and 6 horns. He doesn't actually remember very much of his past life, just more than most. Main colors are light almost white blue, gold, black, and sometimes red.

And finally the big question everyone asks how can papyrus and sans be brothers if they're different species, that's the secret they aren't. Sans remembers not having a brother, as does papyrus, and they really aren't brothers they just say they are it's a lot easier than explaining they just see each other as brothers.

Des would shrug. "Besides I'd normally avoid anything called a 'flesh eater' even if they were cool- nobody with a name like that earned it from being a vegetarian." Desmond then realized that there was appropriate flesh to eat, things like chicken skin or pork and beef. He shuttered at the thought, and shook it out of his mind overthinking it. "Demons aren't reasonable Ryuji, there are some that torment kids because they're powerless, and fear adults- I kinda get it, I mean I'd be afraid of my grandpa too if I were a small demon." He told Ryuji how tall his grandpa is.

"I know all of this cause the best way to get the drop on your enemy is to know all the ins and outs of them, their weaknesses, their schemes, everything. So no demons or evil spirits can rip me to shreds or anyone I love." Des would look down before muttering.

"And my best friend likes ghost for some reason...it's the same thing with palaces and their rulers." Des tried to lead it to something that Ryuji understood to get him to wrap his head around his point.

Desmond would look him dead in the eye with all seriousness. "Now you know why I learned all of this...oh salt? It repels evil spirits, demons, hellhounds and stuff- it like pushes them back and burns them...don't know why...maybe they have high cholesterol. As for garlic, it just kinda numbs them to your presence, and I can use some to make delicious meals." It was hard to tell if the amount of research was impressive or crazy.

"But I said 'spirit' not demon though, so what would be the harm in asking a spirit...?" In his mind, there was a distinction between the two as not all spirits were bad.

"Uh, what if you don't really believe in Satan, though...? That's more like a Western religion sort of deal, isn't it...?" He didn't know heads or tails about Satan, only that he was supposedly a devil and from what he'd seen images depicting the figure were almost comical with him being some sort of oversized red man with horns and sometimes a goatee. He was supposed to find that frightening...? "Why would demons want to torment kids, though? Kids don't do anything wrong!" Did people seriously believe in this sort of stuff - in demons torturing children? He didn't know whether or not to find this all horrifying or just ridiculous. "...So avoid flesh eaters and imps then - got it."

"How do you even know about all of this? Did a demon do this to you...?" He was trying to take this as seriously as he could but the more he heard, the more he couldn't help but be reminded of some over the top horror movie at this point. "No demon is taking over my loved ones and there's no way in hell I'm killing them regardless, demon or not," His fists clench as he shakes his head vehemently at the thought - this was a notion he would refuse to even entertain. Persona or not, he would fight until the end to protect his loved ones and he sure as shit wasn't about to let some demon just take them away from him.

"Are those supposed to ward off demons - the salt and the garlic...? How does that work, really?"

One sentence review (1 being the worse - 10 being a masters piece) Hope you enjoy :)

Bad Hair Day: It was an alright start to Season 2 but why did the WK crew leave the paint on the lion cubs for that long? 7/10

Race for the Hippo Disc: I'M SORRY BUT CHRIS SHOULD HAVE JUST LET ZACH DIE, it would have solved so many problems in future episodes (sorry zach fans) 8/10

Creature Power Challenge: Zachs drawings were hilarious but not as funny as Jimmy and Zach's conversation also acorn powers return (this whole episode wouldn't have happened if Zach was offed in the previous episode) 7/10

Neck and Neck: All I can think about is what would Martin's life have been like if they weren't able to fix the problem and how technically chronologically you can take off the suit at any time sooo.... ._. (6/10)

Happy Turkey Day: Chris and the WK kids trolling Gormond is pretty funny also R.I.P Martin's tail feathers. (8/10)

Termites v.s Tongues: This episode was overplayed on my local pbs station but the moment when Chris thought he was too late in saving was very heartwarming (but why did Koki and Aviva scream "help me" like that?) (4/10)

Bugs or Monkeys: I just love how when Chris looses Martin he's just like "Oh no Martin is gone ._. But when Chris is lost, Martin be like

Secrets of the Spiders Web: Donita creates a spider sweatshop, you know for kids ( and why did the WK crew send the fabric to Donita? She doesn't deserve it.) (7/10)

Shadow the Black Jaguar: (One of my personal favorite episodes because Jaguars are my favorite animals) The Jaguar CPS suit should be used more often if it's capable of turning into a Shadow like that. (10/10)

To Touch a Hummingbird: insert gif from THAT one scene (10/10) (Martin's trumpet 4th wall break was also great)

Rainforest Stew: Martin's Gormond voice is spot on, Chris sounds ummm... bizarre with sloth powers, but is it concerning that Gormond knows what the Kratt Brothers smell like? (7/10)

Seahorse Rodeo: Martin having an awkward conversation with Donita while Chris dies from 2nd hand embarrassment never fails to make me laugh. Also poor Dabio (9/10)

Speaking Dophinese: The dolphins were pretty cute but beef stems from them having a full episode of them saying Sharks are not the bad guys, but then in this episode they make a Shark the bad guy. (6/10)

Aqua Frog: Those Frog CPS are lowkey cursed and WHY didn't the WK Crew review Zach's invention journal? (F-f-f-frog/10)

Tortuga Tune Up: Robbed of a freshwater turtle episode just because Jimmy wanted to SEE TURTLES, though the shark chewing sound effect was very satisfying for me and I don't know why. (8/10)

Blowfish Blowout: I loved the water balloon fight intro and how it connects to the final battle, also poor Martin and Dabio. (9/10)

Snow Runners: Spends the majority of the episode thinking that we were getting our first Hare CPS then Aviva going JK and making a Lynx CPS for Martin and makes Chris suffer in a basilisk CPS while wearing Santa hat and bunny costume then almost getting his bucket kicked by a Lynx, I love it. (8/10)

Road Runners: An amazing homage to the Roadrunner and Coyote cartoons and HOLY CRAP! how did they not die from that fall? (10/10)

Rocket Jaw Rescuer of the Reef: How is Donita on the same intelligence level as Zach? (7/10)

Attack of the Tree Eating Aliens: Chris has a voice crack and gets his brain rattled while Martin chases himself. (10/10)

Rattlesnake Crystal: Jimmy almost kills the Tortuga and not gonna lie I was on the edge of my seat during the climax, and Chris almost dies. (7/10)

Skunked: HOW IN THE CREATURE WORLD CAN JIMMY MISTAKE A SKUNK FOR A CAT?! But to be fair how he was interacting with the skunk was very cute, also Zach loves tomato soup the more you know. (8/10)

Gilla Monster Under My House: WHY is Zach spying in on Children?! Also why did the WK Crew help Zach out again? (7/10)

Desert Elves: Chris' being a drama queen?!? I'm all for it (10/10)

Groundhog Wake Up Call: Finally someone mentions the dangers of deactivaing a CPS at the wrong time, also Groundhog Creature Powers lowkey sucks. (7/10)

Journey into the Subnivian Zone: Aviva and Koki destroys a habitat, R.I.P Freezy (8/10)

Vector enjoys listening to music in his free time.

Espio changes colors everytime he sneezes when sick, much to his dismay.

They all live off of instant ramen.

Vector has given love letters, some that are messy poetry, to Vanilla without signing his name.

Charmy has a bad immune system.

Espio as one hidden poster in his room, and that's of some edgy band that both he and Shadow like. Shadow was the one that gave him it as a birthday gift.

Charmy, Tails, and Ray are all best friends. Flying yellow kids have to stay together after all.

Vector is this 👌 close to adopting all of the main cast.

Vector looked like he was when he first appeared in a Sonic game when the age of 20.

Espio is flexible to a unholy degree. He'll have his back upturned and hands on the floor and just. run towards you.

Charmy is scared shitless whenever he does this.

Cream is good friends with Charmy.

Vector is a good cook, but is even better at saving money.

Shadow is a unofficial part of Team Chaotix. The only thing stopping them is Team Dark, but even they are unofficial members so it evens out.

Vector has a childhood rival that's a hippopotamus. The rival is a bastard.

Less domestic, more chaotic. Shadow's a bad influence on the kid (not that he needed help being a little terror LOL)
