the pokemon lore i go with is based on a mixture of the games, anime, and comics, alongside my own headcanons that i've come up with over the years!! i'm totally okay with people interacting who have differing and even totally contradicting hcs to my own!! it's all in good fun.

that said, generally some baseline 'rules' (and i use the word loosely) that'll likely come up often enough i go with are:

pokemon are typically more intelligent than real animals and are treated as such. they have an understanding of human concepts that real animals don't, and can even communicate now and again. however, even humanoid pokemon still have animalistic behaviors, since they're not humans.

while multiple universes do exist, kichijiro is generally unaware of and skeptical about this concept. most direct references to this will be glossed over and not taken seriously by him. i generally just don't really like storylines like this and probably won't engage in them.

legendary pokemon are provably real, but rarely seen, and never documented as being captured by trainers. i won't ignore characters that have legendaries, but this won't be referenced outside of direct interactions! pseudo-legendaries are just considered to be very rare.

team rocket (which kichi is totally not in) is generally a more realistic crime syndicate that does genuinely awful shit aside from just stealing pokemon.

Hmmm I had to think a bit since I didn't have any song associated to him already - but I think Lysergide Daydream by Will Wood REALLY fits him!

Oh he seems like a lovely roomate! I'm very talkative and I like to hears other talk as well so I think we could get along!

20. Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?

I think I'll go with Tenma here. They seem like they would be very comfortable around each other, with Grimmer filling the silence and Tenma hearing him talk, and Tenma having the sensibility necessary to help Grimmer better understand his emotions. I do ship those men and I think they'd grow a strong friendship before start dating!

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

Started Monster hyped to see him because of you. When he showed up, I was like 🥺🥺🥺🥺 this for the whole episode, seeing him being so kind and gentle and nice. Now... oh I still think he's so kind and gentle and nice, even moreso because of how that kindness had to grow from rocks and dried land. He's SUCH and interesting character, my favorite character in Monster, and I want only the best for him.

Bro tbh I think all of Will Wood's discography fits him perfectly 💀 but the first that comes to mind is Against the Kitchen Floor, especially in a post-2003 sense Bonus: Science Ashbury Heights and you're to blame. That song fits him PERFECTLY. Bonus bonus: Phantasmagoria Ashbury Heights, I think it resonates a lot with his phase of grieving for Tobio and regretting creating Astro

This would be easier to answer if that wreck of a man didn't hate everyone but hmm. I think he could have a really strong relationship to Shadow, since Shadow quite literally knows him from the inside out. He has nothing to hide, so he can just be honest and open to him. And since he's changing for the better, I think Shadow would be willing to listen. I can see them making projects together and studying the heart of humans and robots, sharing their perspectives as such. And maybe Shadow could open up to him too as he developed his own sense of self but Tenma is still his blueprint. ...Wow, now I want to write about these two. Anyway, I think Tenma's closest friend since forever was always Ochan but since they're also dating I wanted to answer with someone else.

Now that's a funny one, bc I spent 49 episodes of 2003 strictly thinking "oh he's a great antagonist, I can definitely see him having some sort of redemption but I don't think he'll ever go back to Astro and Ochan's life." Then episode 50 happenned and boom. Now I want him to have a 200k words redemption arc actually. Everyone needs to be a happy family. Like I FELT the clown makeup materializing in my face but what can I do man. That hug destroyed me

So, so... I know I've been writing about Isekai!Aruji-sama a lot BUT! What if MC was isekai-ed, not as Aruji-sama, but as a butler/maid in Devil's Palace, an NPC who gave the past butlers happiness before the despair, or an angel! (I'm going to write the NPC and Angel AU in another post)

Outcome 1: You spawn into the world as a Devil Butler/ Maid.

It's just that one day... a new butler/ maid enters the mansion and POOF! Now we have a different soul in the body!

For example, if spawned in the early days of the Devil Butlers, you will find the oldest butlers in the original timeline (Berrien, Miyaji, and Lucas), and you can gain their trust knowing they'll most likely (they have to be) alive at the point when the main plot begins. There are obviously going to be other butlers in the mansion, so you could try to save them and spare some trauma for poor Miyaji. You could prevent Lucas and Miyaji from getting into the fight that caused them to give each other the silent treatment for a thousand years (and maybe prevent Miyaji to get his scar). With this, your relationship with Lucas and Miyaji (dilf duo *cough*) will be pretty ok. Do they trust you? Yes ✅ Will they be mad at you constantly for risking your life for others too much? Yes ✅ Will you be invited to their wine parties? Absolutely yes! ✅✅ Will they be relying on you a lot? Yes yes!! 100% YES ✅✅✅

They'll stick next to you like glue. From the main and side stories, it is said that they treated each other like brothers until the big fight they had. They'll treat you like their little sibling who has to deal with all their shit (good luck with the next few centuries with them...) Or if MC has a motherly personality, they'll both joke that Miyaji is the dad, Lucas is the weird Uncle, and you're the Mom/ other Dad

As for Berrien though? At first, he may think you're a very helpful butler/ maid since you're running around the palace helping everyone in sight. But as time goes on and the new butlers (Lamli, Lato, the problem man-children in general) come along, he might think it's really sus that you know how to handle each and every butler with their unique personalities. Sure, you have been a butler/ maid in Devil's Palace for quite a long time, and you've met new butlers and known lots of unique people over those years, but something feels... off. Just know he'll be having his guard up whenever he's with you (But he doesn't hate you don't worry)

As for the butlers that came after (a few centuries before the main story begins) like Haures and Fennesz will look up to you like a little brother to an older sibling (ouch, Fennesz's trauma kicking in). You can save Boschi from losing his arm and eye, give Fennesz more self-confidence, and Ammon... to at least let him trust you (if you succeed congrats! Now you have another emotionally unstable boy by your side!!).

There's going to be one point where you and Miyaji find Lato living in the forest after years of the torment he's faced locked up in a science lab. And what are you going to do about it? Give him love and comfort of course!! He won't open up to you immediately (Lato's trust issues) but with your knowledge of a 1000+ year old person and memories of the character's personality, now you have a child! The child is Lato btw. You're now his new mother/ father and you don't have a choice. Oh my, such a happy family! *crashing sounds in the distance*

Then gaining Lamli's trust. He's not that hard like Lato, just needs a pinch of Lucas, and... BOOM now you have another magnet stuck to you good job :D

(I'm not sure about Nac's past since I haven't looked into his side stories)

Now for the new butlers. Not new like Teddy, Hanamaru, and Yuhan, a few decades before the main plot. First, we have Bastien and Lono. An Emo and a Sunshine boy... how nice :D You're in for a treat. Lono is known to be the best cook so better eat those plates clean! And Bastien... silent acknowledgment I guess. He won't open up until the events of Episode 1 come to a close, so it's best to have some common interests with him like carving and fluffy animals to at least crack his walls down.

I'm not quite sure about Flure's past, but at least save try to save Zepal (the butler that gets demonized a few years before the plot) for him. Alright?

Now, I believe you deserve a new title~! Now you're the younger butler's parental figure!! I'm going to bet my soul Lamli will call you Mama-chan or Papa-kun as your nickname.

Possible love interests in this AU outcome will be... Aruji-sama, and possibly Berrien? Aruji-sama is pretty self-explanatory. I mean, who wouldn't want to date someone as pretty as you? And Berrien is... an Enemy/ Stranger to Lovers kinda troupe? He won't trust you much at first, but over those decades and centuries he might one day... one day open up to you.

also can i request a really angsty fic where the reader is struggling from childhood trauma from domestic violence that involves touch-related issues (specifically the shoulder and torso areas) that everyone writes off as sensitivity but one of the members figure out something's wrong? the reader kinda struggles with telling other people about it bc her parents are really toxic and have made her feel bad about telling other people before, so she tries to avoid talking about them at nearly all costs. any member is fine, but can they already be in a relationship with the reader?

That's a new one, but you can totally be the croissant anon!! That one has been unclaimed until now. AH!! I'm so excited for you. Making a blog, no matter what it's about, is so fun and it's a great way to be creative. I can't wait to reveal the calendar I made because I tried to theme it around my blog.

Anyway, the world is really at your fingertips. For my blog I picked a lab theme because it was easily expandable and you can create a lot in a lab. I'm not good at science (actually, I hate most science related subjects) but the idea of creating my own little lab sounded unique and fun. Calling the people who read my stuff lab rats, it really felt on brand and I've just kinda expanded it since then.

Just recently, I believe it was another Stay, they made their fanfic page set up like a diner and their masterlist is the menu. It's SO fun. Whatever your blog is about, it should be a representative of you or at least, what you like/enjoy. It can really be anything.

I based mine off a science lab, but is there a specific place you like? Science labs have always been fascinating to me. I've always liked the idea of being an evil scientist and this is my take on that. Making my silly little angst makes me feel evil. You can always base it off a place or an idea. When I was first thinking of my blog, since it's about a k-pop group, I was imagining a k-pop concept.

When I first started, I picked out my favorite color and ran with it. Everything else just kinda happened. I believe I used Canva and Pinterest to make my main header. If you can't think of anything off the top of your head, pinterest is also a good place to find ideas for layouts/designs.

Start with your colors and a username. Your username doesn't have to be aesthetic, just make it whatever you prefer. Then you can dive into a profile photo and the header behind your photo. There's some websites out there that have fancy fonts/things you can copy and paste. When I first started, I used this site to add the fancy heart symbols to my drabbles. There's so many and it's a good way to add fun.

It can be something fancy or something totally niche. You can also reblog certain posts to help fuel your aesthetic. There doesn't even have to be an aesthetic if you don't want it to be. Whatever you decide, it should be what makes you happy and not other people. You can make it super aesthetic, or as chaotic as you wish, that's the fun part about Tumblr.

Whatever you post about, if you use hashtags, it'll reach more people. Don't forget interacting with people and supporting others in whatever you post about, it not only helps you grow your audience, but it's really nice to build a mini community in the endless void that being online creates. The First Impression:

Sebek is... Sebek. He can be a little hard to get through to at times, even if his core intentions are good. And he doesn't exactly leave a good impression on a lot of people... not that he means to. Perhaps it's your bluntness, or your nonchalant attitude towards him, but for whatever reason, he doesn't immediately write you off.

Why He Fell:

You guys will kill me for this but Sebek is a little cutie. A little fanboy. He's also jumping up and down like wawawawa when he gets excited. He has a lot of growing to do, but if there's anything admirable about him, it's that once you're close to him, he will care about you forever. (Whether he'd like to admit that or not).

Though, truly, he admires you. You're obviously intelligent, you're honest (AKA blunt, but so is he), you have experience in martial arts... somehow, he finds himself watching his tone more around you, and shelving his boisterous, over-confident persona.

The Relationship:

No touching, no problem. Sebek is already getting used to this whole "dating" thing (not that he can't handle being eternally devoted to another person... look at the guy), and he might even breathe a sigh of relief when you say you don't have to sleep in the same bed.

Sebek is... protective, and that's an understatement. He loves people fiercely, and isn't shy about it. You can expect lots of attention and worry and care, especially as someone who gets sick a lot. He will insist on doing everything for you. He'll make an attempt to keep you on task when you need it, too, though he might not be as great at preventing you from overexerting yourself (as he is with himself!)

Reasons why I love it: The entire premise of this fic is like catnip to me. I adore it when authors explore the effects of the super soldier serum on Steve's sexual health, and this fic is no exception. Steve's struggle and his desperation is incredibly hot, so if you're into that sort of thing, I bet you'll love this one just as much as I do!

Reasons why I love it: This take on A/B/O is utterly fascinating, and I would gladly read a million more words in this universe. The Winteriron in chapter one is amazing, and I love the whole concept of the claiming process, but I also really enjoyed seeing the backstory of Tony's relationship with Bruce and Clint in the second chapter. I adore this fic, and I bet you will too, so I hope you give it a shot!

Reasons why I love it: Bucky is such a fucking troll, oh my god, I love him. They all feel perfectly in character here, and if they really got into this situation, I imagine this is exactly what would happen. This fic is equally funny and hot, and you should definitely read it!

Reasons why I love it: This is super hot, holy shit. The premise alone is god-tier, and as always, copperbadge's writing style just takes it to the next level. I love how they banter even as they're getting down and dirty, and the ending is perfection. This fic is wonderful, and if you haven't read it yet, you definitely should!

Writing Check-In

Now, with the big Broken Wings project finished, I feel like I'm somehow between things. I'm looking at several WIPs on my harddrive and I'm pondering a few bunnies that I've been carrying around with me, but so far none is really biting. Somehow I'm not quite ready to let go of Viggo and Orlando. We'll see what happens, let's not stress about it.

Active WIPs (as in: I'm actively working on those)

Muffin (working title) I'm thinking of doing the @yearoftheotpevent with a bunch of Library-AU ficlets (more on that further down). This is one of those. I like the basic idea, but I don't like my execution. So either I have a lightbulb moment how to make this fic better or it'll be moved to WIPs on hiatus. We'll see.

Walking in my Shoes (working title) Also a short ficlet for the @yearoftheotpevent that doesn't quite satisfy. I'd like to explore this angle further, but unfortunately it doesn't work in the way I tried it here. Will have to sit on this a bit more.

The Way North (working title) I worked on this a bit more in the hope of getting my LOTR mojo back.

WIPs on hiatus (as in: on the backburner, but they will most probably come back)

First Meeting (working title) This is also still on hiatus. This is actually really depressing, but I can't really write A/L when I write V/O. The tone of my Aralas stories doesn't really gel with Viggorli and it's so very jarring to switch between both.

Dol Guldur (working title) Yes, I actually managed to start a story in August to then promptly put it on hiatus. This was supposed to be a horror-adjacent story. I feel we're properly out of horror season now, so I will leave this for later.

Finished Stories (as in, will post eventually)

Broken Wings Yes, it's finally here. Broken Wings is finished as is posted on Mondays. It'll be around 100.000 words, which amazes no one more than me. There will be angst, there will be h/c, there will be smut and there will be our two boys finding their way with each other. Feel free to stop by!

The Last Resort This will be my March-entry for the @yearoftheotpevent. It's Library-AU as well, but it's set in the past. There's actually no OTP in this story, but it expands on some of Viggo's backstory. There wasn't any need to put this in the larger story, it would have taken up too much space there. But I think it works quite nicely as its own story.

Man's Best Friend Also a Library AU ficlet for @yearoftheotpevent, it will be posted in April. This is a bit of backstory that existed in my head, but that didn't fit into the multichaptered story. There was just no good place where I could add this in. But I'm happy that it's back in in a roundabout way. I just love Charlie. I want more Charlie in my life.

Costumes (working title) Another ficlet for @yearoftheotpevent, which is basically finished. It will see the light of day in October. I like that these ficlets look at little domestic moments. Between the overall angst of the main story, this is such a nice breather. I like simply showing them have fun and living their life.

The Science of Love Super-cheesy title, but it is what this story is about. So ... Also for @yearoftheotpevent, this one is for the August prompt.

24 Can you tell I've been a busy bee with those @yearoftheotpevent fics? This one will be for the November prompt (look how organised I am, I have the November prompt before I have the May prompt). This story is going to be a little more experimental again, but I really like how it turned out. I'm a bit sad that I'll have to wait so long before I can post it, because I'd like to know what you all think. Patience ...

Hello, I read and love your Chained Series but only now noticed the Major Character Death tag on the second one, since I moved from part 1 to part 2 without checking the tags/summary. I normally really really really do not touch Major Character Death, it just... well it just makes me really sad in a way i don't enjoy, to keep it brief, even when it's plot or story wise fulfilling a purpose.

This is in no way me asking you not to do it, it's your story, and that's how it should be!

But I was hoping if you'd be willing to give me some information around the MCD, who for example (or if this'll straight up be a bad ending overall), so I can emotionally brace myself because I really don't want to stop reading the fic, because it's really good, but going further into it blind feels daunting, in a way. I will of course not relay anything regarding the fic to others, that you might tell me (since idk how familiar you are with tumblr: there is a way to respond to asks privately in the ask-post settings, if you prefer).

If you're not happy doing this I completely understand, it's your story, but i figured it's worth asking.

I would be quite happy to explain what I've got planed with that! I deliberately read spoilers for similar reasons all the time; I totally understand wanting to be forewarned and forearmed. Also I'm just happy to ramble about my fic lol :3 If ya gotta drop it, no worries, glad you enjoyed the first sections and I don't mind anyone takin care of themselves

You're probably not the only one who'd want to know so I'll just put all the spoilers in a read more:

First of all, I don't consider this to be a particularly dark story (though granted I don't consider Death Note to be a particularly dark story so uh your mileage may vary) nor do I see it ending in tragedy.

The planned deaths:

The Joker - So, he's not really a main character in this fic, in fact, he might not even get speaking lines, I'm unsure right now, but he's major in the comics so I'm counting it. It's not going to happen for a VERY long time but it is so pivotal to the functioning of a main emotional plotline that I don't know how I'd write around changing my mind about this one.

Captain Boomerang - Like the Joker, I'm not really even sure he'll get speaking lines, but he's important enough to Tim's other canon stories he makes the cut. Unlike the Joker, I don't actually know if he's going to die yet! At the end of Red Robin Tim tries to kill him but fails. I don't know if my older Tim will do it, but I am certain he'll go at least halfway through a second similar plan. Much will hinge on what I read of his interactions with Huntress.

Other assorted villains, such as Darkseid and the Batman Who Laughs - This will depend a lot on, again, my reading of how Tim interacts with the kind of violence Huntress brings to the table. It also depends a lot on how a few in-fic decisions shake out. Tim has to make the decision as to whether or not they kill more people than just the ones on his small list from the first fic and I've got a more solid idea for if he does than if he doesn't.

Roy Harper (and a few other Heroes) - He's not gonna stay dead though, none of them are. So, due to hesitance and fear of fucking shit up Jason and Tim aren't going to make some key decisions in time to prevent the whole "Heroes in Crisis" plotline from happening. Once they learn of this they are immediately going to start doing mad science to figure out how to resurrect people safely. And, of course, they have the power to time travel.

Jason Todd... Kinda. - An increasingly large and loud elephant in the room is gonna be the fact that Jason doesn't have to have died. Ever. In any timeline.

Tim could save him.

But of course that would mean rewriting the Jason he knows out of existence. There really isn't a clear cut moral equivalent to doing this? But I feel emotionally it would count as this/our Jason dying.

On the other hand if Tim refuses, he is deeply morally responsible for Jason's actual already happened death... but will have saved our Jason's existence.

Tim's decision of whether or not to save Jason's child self is THE emotional climax of the story. One of the main purposes of Chapter 12 was foreshadowing how each character will react to this very situation.

I can't put another read more, so if knowing the two options is good enough for you turn back now! And if you wanna know what Tim's decision is (I sure would!) scroll passed the two big pictures!

Tim refuses to save Jason's childhood self. He loves this Jason too much to emotionally withstand losing him. I have had this story beat and the resulting fallout planned for absolute ages and I'm 100% certain on this one. Frankly, timeline erasing the Jason we know and love would make ME cry too much to keep writing it lmao, so this one I can guarantee.

Hi everyone! Louis here...I decided to finally introduce myself better and talk about who I am and why this blog exists...as well to tell where you can find more of me and when, so without any further a do let's begin!

My name is Louis but I also use Tallulah for female name and Mits for non-binary, I'm 16, so in resume you can call me any of these 3, I'm genderfluid mostly fluctuating between male, non-binary and demi girl or agender, but I can also use the xenogender pronuns of crow/ crow self, ghost/ghost self and raven/raven, but any is fine self due to feeling my gender is heavily connected to these things, plus I'm also a bit of a musegender. I'm autistic level one of support, I'm panromantic feeling only emotional and romantic attraction (rarely) to people and ace in terms of not feeling ANY sexual attraction despite understanding it in more logical and science terms (with slight disgust of the idea of ME engaging in anything sexual).

I'm a small twitch streamer as well with the goal of creating a safe space for everyone no matter the community, race, gender, sexuality, country etc, my chat are called crows and I stream every Thursday, Tuesday, sometimes Wednesday and weekends on 4 PM BRT!!

I do streams playing games like Omori, Osu, Minecraft Hardcore, coffee talk, etc (other games), I also draw, organize stuff and cosplay most streams! picking a favorite ship is so hard, because im a multishipper and real big on leaving my options open so that i have the most opportunity in any given story!! like, brudick and sladick are both ones i love for dark stories, but they each give such different angles and paths that you can take. all combinations of robins are dear to me for different reasons. and even within the context of one ship, i can usually come up with a lot of different directions that they can go it!!

i can't even say "X is my favorite for Y types of stories" because with a good pairing theres so much you can do with a variety of types of stories!! so. def cant pick a favorite, but i can list some that i like! they mostly involve Dick, bc my biases are quite obivious, lol.

Dick ships: Bruce, Slade, Talia, Slade/Talia, Tim, Jason, Steph, Damian (but it depends a lot on context, i see Dick as being very careful about not taking advantage), any poly robins combo, Slade/Rose, Tara

other ships: Slade/Rose, Slade/Talia, any robins together, Bruce/Talia (but only if Talia is having daddy issues about it), Nyssa/Talia (Nyssa repeatedly kills and revives her to make her understand her anger at Ra's. the rituals. they're intricate i swear-)(but also in arkham knight Nyssa compares her love for Talia to Bruce's explicitly romantic love for Talia and i've never been normal about that), any combo of the Al Ghuls tbh they're so mentally ill about each other

fic ideas!!! i have some shorter ones, like a Blackfire/Robin non-con based on that one scene from tt03, but i kinda wanna take this chance to ramble about my longer ideas!

u may have seen some of these, but i have a series called "days without incident" which is a bunch of shorter than usual fics stringing together random semi canon compliant scenes of Dick being in dangerous sexual situations, which are eventually going to end in a rlly angsty fic of Dick being assaulted and just accepting it. it sounds dark, and it is, but due to the length and format they really just serve as quick writing warm-ups more than anything.

DIDick AU. a friend of mine has been on the receiving end of so many DMs of me fleshing out these alter OCs, to the point that it would feel weird if I didn't write anything for it. the problem is that when I think about it, it all revolves around characters and there's no real plot line to use for it. I could just rant about it, bc figuring out what I want to do for a story about them is really tricky. it's also tough bc it's a teeny bit more personal than I usually go for. do /I/ have DID? unclear. I probably wouldn't tell you either way. anyways, it's an idea i want to more with but it's just more complicated to work on than most others.

suicide fic. "Where The Dead Stay Dead", title in reference to this being in a "Jason Stays Dead AU". i want to take a sort of dark comedy direction, but i have trouble controlling how the tone ends up when I write. Dick tries to kill himself post Jason's death + many other bad times but Slade just happens to pop in to try and bother him that day, and is uh. he doesn't know how to feel about it, the kid dying in front of him, but he drags Dick to a safe house and does some made-up comic book science fuckery to give Dick his healing factor. Dick is not very happy about this when he wakes up. the rest of the story follows an arrangement where Dick searches for a way to perma die and is generally a depressed grumpy bitch about everything, and Slade secretly tries to get him to stop doing that while trying to figure out a way to revive Jason. whichever ends up being easier. a lot of it would probably just be about Slade feeling lost with this "new" version of Dick, as well as the two of them swapping stories about dead loved ones and learning how to mourn.

timcel fic. that was the placeholder title, before i settled on "Nature's Order (As Told From Alpha To Beta)", but i still call it the timcel fic for short <3 the alpha in that title is Ra's, and the beta is Tim. the kick off for the story is that Ra's kidnaps omega Dick to use as a human incubator bc he and Talia had a spat that's left him heir-less, and he kidnaps Tim to make Dick more compliant. it's a really extreme take on "right wing alpha male pipeline, but omegaverse". it's gonna be a lot of bad times for Dick <3 i've talked about it so much with my friend that one time they mentioned basing smth partially off of Nature's Order Tim, and I think that's a good sign that I should really be writing this properly at this point. I have started chapter one! but bc it's gonna be a long one I want to get three chapters done before I start posting, bc having a few extra chapters written will help with my nerves a bit.

inspired, yes; jealous, no. maybe when i was younger, and my technical skills were more lacking—my writing isn't the best thing in the world, but what i have now makes me happy. i've had a lot of opportunities to grow and improve, and i've come to a place that i am content with. sometimes i see other people being really, really good at something (comedy, for one) and wish idly that i were better in that way, but mostly it just encourages me to hone my own skills, because maybe someday someone will look at my writing and go, oh, i want to be like that.

🖤 Black: Do you think about your story when you're not physically writing it? Does it help with plotting scenes, character arcs, etc.?

a better question is "when am i ever not thinking about my writing?" which has a very clear answer: never. there is not a single moment in my life that i'm not thinking about my writing—in part because it's a special interest of mine, and thus underpines my very existence, and part because, well, it's what i spend most of my free time doing. it pervades my every waking moment—even those that aren't "nice"; i've had more than one breakdown and had an analytic part of me go, oh, i know how to nail that emotional beat in my project now! it permeates beyond that, too—i dream about my writing, and even though this isn't very conducive to, well, actually making progress on things since i rarely remember the exact details of my dreams, but it certainly adds to the "living, breathing writing" mindset i've unintentionally tricked myself into. if i'm not writing, i'm thinking about writing, or drawing art for my writing, or talking to my friends about my writing, or, or, or. you get the picture.

going to take this as a moment to be wildly self-indulgent and talk about sunrise—my darling, my heart, my reason for existence, if we want to be sentimental. what initially started off as a silly pacrim fusion (as i am wont to do—show me a fandom i've been in post-2018 that i haven't written a pacrim au for, i dare you) accidentally gained, uh, 10k+ in lore, 14k+ in actual established canon, and an uncountable amount more to be written as i have the time. it is the pinnacle of self-indulgence, combining half a dozen of my interests—pacific rim, the yuan and ming dynasties, especially the wanli era, science fiction, eldritch somethings, the horrifying exploration of autonomy, control, love, political strata upon political strata, tragic sibling dynamics, weird as fuck biological mutations in the vein of annihilation (terrible film, wonderful visuals), character design, love and trust as the only thing that can save the world, and more! i write this verse because it lives, quite literally, in a penthouse suite in my mind, and it's not leaving any time soon, and it's fun. also, because i can canonically say shit like "well, yes, they can tear you apart and rebuild you with massive amounts of futuristic tech, but no, there aren't any smartphones. also the ottoman empire took over most of europe"

I wrote my currently impressions of Virche Evermore on r/vns and thought why not post it here as well?

Vage spoilers under the cut!

I played a lot of [Virche Evermore](https://vndb.org/v29661/chars) the past few weeks!

Virche Evermore is a dark scifi Otome Game which was well known for making players suffer through 4+ entire routes full of tragic endings until you get the chance to unlock better endings for everyone. The better endings might still not be really happy tho.

A sizeable trigger warning list made the rounds long before the game came out in english and the some reviews would called the game misery or torture porn.

I really like tragedies so I had to get the game, but I kept my expecations in check. Misery can come in many forms and there were tragic endings I absolutely hated before (Piofiore Orlock's tragic end made me skip a route).

I finished 4 routes now (only Despair endings) and I can confidently say that this game GETS me. It fits my taste for misery and fucked up-ness perfectly and I'm so happy.

The only downside in that this game has some true bullshit science lol

My biology university degree certainly made a face at some relevations. So uh I just pretend it's more plausible stuff instead. Just forget all your biology knowledge at the door and you're fine...

Some thoughts of the routes:

Mathis: Mathis is the rich, socially awkward and shy guy, who swore revenge on his brothers killer.

Def not my type of guy, but the build up in his route was very well done. So much foreshadowing which get's more and more in your face as time goes on, but it was hard to 100% point the finger to what was happening until the revealed happened. This really reminded my of Il of Café Enchante's route but like 1000% more horrifying. Despair End 2 was disgusting and horrific. It plays with your hopes and the "Power of Love" only to end in the worst possible way. It was so disgusting. I was so impressed!

Lucas: Lucas is the kindhearted teacher of Ceres who is hella feminine and is already knocking on deaths door.

I heard that his route would be the "worst" in a horrifying way with lots of bad things happening.

I think that gave me the wrong expecations after having just seen Mathis Despair End 2.

It's definitely the most unfixable route. A lot of bad things did happen, disgusting things too. But it still felt underwhelming to me compared to what I saw before. The last CG of Lucas's Despair End 2 was very delightful tho!

Some moments gave me some nice shivers as well (Lucas in a ponytail is beautiful).

Scien: The human god who created the cloning technology that made it possible for the people of this cursed island to live longer than 23 years.

Scien's route felt very different from the first two. His wasn't really focused on horrific tragedy, even though terrible, traumatising things still happened. This one had a much stronger romance focus from the start. It felt much more poetic in nature which I liked a lot as well.

"How to Ruin a God?", my beloved Ceres sure did a number on Mister Emotionless God-complex.

Absolut beautiful Despair Ending 2. Stuff like this makes me want to write poems about bringing a god down. You def need to leave your feminism at the door for this one tho lol. Scien is a trashbando who doesn't treat Ceres the way she should be treated.

Yves: The man Ceres almost killed in a fire by accident when she was a child. A very friendly guy who wears a mask to hide his burn wounds and tries to see the best in anyone.

The love interest of all love interests! If The Phantom of The Opera was a good guy but still full of madness. I liked his relationship with Ceres the most. It's so wholesome, raw and selfish. So much longing and self-hatred! They are obsessed with each other. They were made for each other. I support Ceres's right to be insane. I support all her wrongs. She deserves it.

His Despair End 2 was if Power of Love lacked any plotarmor and insanity was the only thing that remained. Loved it.

Next up! Le Salut! I can't wait for more Watchmen of the Dead Ankou!

leo!! it's super easy and fun for me to write him because i relate to him a lot. I haven't written a lot for this fandom so I dont have a lot of other POVs to draw from, but Leo's is just the easiest one for me and I've settled very nicely into it lol.

Ive also dabbled a little with Mikey's POV and its been a lot of fun. I haven't posted that fic yet but it'll be one of my whumptober fills.

i do! i have two original stories in the works! one is a fantasy story i first came up with when i was 14 (it evolved A LOT since then. As in my main character now has a twin brother and is one out of five main characters). the story has ALSO changed so much. that story is on hold until i can figure out where i want the story to go and stuff. I've got 5 main characters for this one and instead of working on plot I've just been writing lore for the fantasy world and working on my ocs backstories.

ive also got another story that im much more focused on (its a lot more recent so I'm not constantly rewriting old stuff. This time I get to come up with it as I go along >:3). This one is also set in a fantasy world (tho I think I'd consider it like science fantasy?) but unlike the one above its not in a world parallel to ours etc etc. Fully its own independent world. This one is plagued with capitalism tho :(( unfortunately :(( but the world is cool!

This one is easier to tackle bc I've only got three main characters (Billie, Rosey, and Sasha) and I love them all dearly <33

My ocs for this one are more fleshed out than the world and the actual story plot ajdjfkfkf.

(I'm not at the level I'd like to be so I don't have any actual writing to show for it, just a LOT of lore lmao)

hello! i wanted to respond to this rq bc i've literally been thinking about it all day

thank you for being interested in dak and roxy i was so scared people would stop reading after i introduced that little plot line! all i've gotta say is... roxy writes based off life experience or scenarios she creates in her head... so... yeah... hahahaha

i did not originally intend to show roxy's pool date with jo and camille but i will write it tomorrow after i get off work and post it asap! i've been writing the season one finale for literal weeks at this point and i'm starting to go crazy over it so itll be nice to get into a different little one shot for a bit. i'll post it in a reblog of this question so we can all find it :)

right now i will give you a little sneak peek about how EVERYONE feels about the roxy-dak mess because i'm generous like that, and i don't really get to show everyones feelings on it in the story bc we only get inside her head... there's a bit in chapter 13 where we see a little bit of how the guys feel about it, but i didn't want to make it a whole thing and then it kinda turned into a whole thing 🤷‍♀️

anyway: how my characters view love and roxy's relationship through some cannon events and my own personal beliefs

jo: takes absolutely no shit when it comes to love, we see this when kendall has his thing with lucy... she grew up listening to boy bands and has a standard for how men should treat her <3 plus i think she's been in one non-serious "we went on a few dates so i guess he's my boyfriend" relationship from back home so she has a little experience. she thinks dak isn't worth any more of her time after he stood her up but she is afraid to voice this to her bestie...

camille: is a hopeless romantic and would go nearly to the ends of the earth for the ones she loves. she's a "if it's meant to be, it's meant to be" kinda gal and at age 16 fully believes logan is the love of her life. i think he's her first partner! she wants roxy to be as in love as she is and thinks that, while shitty, the whole standing her up thing is just a bump in the road on their way to everlasting love

carlos: pre-established to have never been in a relationship but he's like a silly jock so i'm sure he's been on at least a few dates! he has older sisters in my story (because he feels like he was written by a woman (me. i'm that woman.)) so you know he knows the proper way to show a date a good time! he thought roxy looked so pretty on her first date and he just wants her to have a good time and be happy. if dak makes her happy, he's happy! and he was actually kind of okay with the stand up thing because they got to hang out and dance together <3

kendall: captain (?? i don't think i made this up... this is in the show right?) of the hockey team in a midwestern high school. he's had a few partners and i know his mother whooped his ass (metaphorically) into shape after she found out he goofed around too hard and hurt someone he went out with on accident... as for the roxy and dak affair, he may or may not have picked up on the fact one of his good buddies may or may not like her... he's not a fan but will not say anything bc he isn't in the business of telling her what to do (she will hit him with her songbook very hard)

logan: while a believer in his love science, he's yet to find a way to quantify how he feels about camille after the party in chapter 10 :) he dated a bit his first few years in high school (mostly double dates with james? i also think is a fact from the show), and has had a few non-serious partners but he's never felt this way about anyone else! in his love science-y world, he can tell that dak does not feel the same way about roxy as she feels about him. if he did, he would've come to the party. simple love science!

james: good lord! he has dated anyone who is someone at mountain aire high school and it's always been to elevate or retain his own social status. so when he's normally a flirt for fun, or because it makes his boring little small town feel less boring, it's always been a game to him. except somewhere along the way of flirting out of habit with his new friend, he might have started to actually mean some of the things he's said. he thinks dak's a douche for standing her up and he's trying to make that clear to her the only way he knows how: vague hints and comments here and there. another established james fact is he's never been dumped, so i imagine this brings up a little bit of fear of rejection in him as well. he has trouble voicing his own feelings as well, since he's always trying to come across as perfect.

whoo boy that was way more than i though it was gonna be lol. if you make it this far, you deserve a medal. thanks for the suggestion! i'm excited to write the pool date... we haven't had enough roxy/jo/camille in the fic lately
