this is icepack. he spent millions of years in isolation after ghosting cybertron because he wasn't taken seriously as the equivalent of a climate scientist during the height of the planet's history. he respectfully crashes out when they find him again and ask him for artificial energon after he spent his ENTIRE TIME ON CYBERTRON warning them.

he is still married (the equivalent of marriage) to nighthawk, which is a friend's character. (depresso on art fight, orangeaesthetics on toyhouse) it's a whole deal. like he left him behind but they're still together? kinda? i mean then end up together in the end but they have to spend ten years in robot therapy starting over to do that. good for them though

as a child there's nothing cooler than a kid who gets subjected to evil experiments and gains special abilities. it's even cooler if these abilities also cause unfathomable suffering to use/against others. children love stories like this.

Big fan of sun motifs in characters not necessarily being about positivity and happiness and how they're so " bright and warm" but instead being about fucking brutal they are.

Radiant. A FORCE of nature that will turn you to ash. That warmth that burns so hot it feels like ice. Piercing yellow and red and white. A character being a Sun because you cannot challenge a Sun without burning alive or taking everything down with them if victorious.
