Nico Di Angelo in the original pjo series is so funny and dramatic. Like he only became this traumatized, self isolating edge lord AFTER the titan war. And while, Yes, Nico did suffer in the original series, he was also this little emo kid, who whined and complained about everything. And I wish we appreciated that more as a fandom. We say that Nico used to be so silly before Bianca died, but he never stopped being that sweet kid. Everything kind of just went down hill after the his first war.
