Honestly, one of the dumbest arguments and criticism Team Green has against Team Black/Targaryen is that they're imperialist, racist/nazi (?), practice incest, and intolerance to other religions.

And I'm like: do... do you understand all your criticism to Team Black/Targaryen are actually what Team Green does. Cause you forgot, Team Green are Andals and they are all what they accused Team Black. The Andals invaded and killed many First Men millennia ago. They called Northerners and First Men savages and tree worshipers (literally Northerners seceded from the 7 Kingdoma because the many ill treatment from the Andals). Andals cut down and burn weirwoods which are sacred to them.

Andals still practice incest; the Doctrine of Exceptionalism allowed Targaryen to practice sister-brother wedding, that it. Andals and the 7-faith tolerated many incest marriage like Tywin and Joanna Lannisters, who are first cousins. Jonnel married his half-neice Sansa Stark which was acceptable by both Andals and First Men.

You also can't say Targaryen force their culture onto Andals and First Men because they very much assimilated to Andals culture. They converted to the 7-Faith to appeal to them. (I against this. I think it will be interesting if there are far more Valyrian houses. I already have an idea this, with the Crownlands being called Valos with 25 Valyrian Houses. And Targaryen keep pissing them off to appeal to the Andals, especially Jaehaerys who kept passing the crown to the males instead of Rhaerys).

The Team Black Targaryen deserves many of their criticisms, but you cannot look at me in the eye and say they're far worse than Team Green because they're not. If they actually follow Valyrian culture, neither Viserys or Rhaerys will be king nor queen because, by Valyrian law, it will go to Rhaena (daughter of Aenys) and then her daughter Aerea.

Johnathan

Catholicism doesn’t really exist in the game but it also kind of does. Basically, Johnathan didn’t know that God existed until one day all the angels started coming down from heaven to have a war with the demons from hell. And then Johnathan made a pledge to go serve god and heaven and kill all humans living on earth because they were like “unfit” or “unclean” or something. So then Johnathan’s friend Walter goes to hang out with satan and then they become enemies :( But he’s basically catholic even if he doesn’t directly call himself that so i’m gonna say yes.

Johnathan literally fuses himself with god to become merkabach. He is unhinged. At the start of the game i thought he was cool because he didn’t want me to kill my best friend like WALTER did. And unlike WALTER, johnathan didn’t fuck up the boss fight with the minotaur. But then johnathan became really really bourgeoise or bougie idk whatever idk how to spell it. And then johnathan was like “FUCK POOR PEOPLE” and i was like no girl nooooo. But johnathan wanted to fuse himself with god and wipe all humans off the face of the earth because heaven thought they were impure. So he was trying to invoke the angels of destruction so badly and i was like johnathan you can’t do that son, and so i had to beat his ass. And then by extension i had to also beat god’s ass. And then i don’t really remember what happens but johnathan was essentially the most catholic guy in existence considering i don’t know anybody else who was chill enough with god to do steven universe fusion with him.

ok so like in smt theres alignments . chaos neutral and law. jonathan is the local lawboy and this means hes like the one who rather follow the rules already established and reject radical changes. but anyways hes also shown to be some sort of follower of god in this world and also of the like. local religion or whatever in mikado (where everyone is from) and hes very devoted to the cause and to keep things peaceful as they are now instead of trying to change shit up like walter (the chaosboy)

He also really mellows out through in series 2 through 4, with him still being kind of annoying in s2, but this really changes in this season, due to a multitude of factors I will not be expanding on (the short of it is he had an argument with another ghost (they made up) and then saw some lesbians get married (woohoo!) and helped organise it to some extent. Skipping talking about him in series 3 even though it's my favourite (have to mention the fact that one of the ghosts who is his pseudo-daughter canonically sees him as her father in her flashbacks to life though). In series 4 his pseudo-daughter helps him to have fun without rigid routine, further demonstrating his development in that he actually lets himself have fun (symbolised here, I think, by him taking off his jacket and looking at bugs all day). He is my favourite character and therefore must win (/j).

Katherine Pierce TVD - THEY HATE TO SEE A GIRLBOSS WINNINGGGGGGG (I don't know Scarlet Witch but I think it's funny to steal the description for #9 for Katherine from the person who tagged me in this hehe) anyway it's funny for me to pick Katherine when I named my cat damon & I have a ginormous shirtless poster of ian somerhalder literally over my bed I'm looking at it right now BUT hear me out. 10. Annie Edison Community - much like with buffy the vampire slayer & buffy summers, there is a correct answer to which community character is objectively the best & it's obviously abed. BUT my subjective fave that I latch onto is annie. she's just so babygirl. she had a nervous breakdown in high school because she was always too perfect. she's just out of rehab for adderall when we meet her but it's mostly only referenced or flashed back to as a joke. we never meet her parents but the quotes she references from them are deeply disturbing if you turn off the laugh track & pay attention. she has a fucked up relationship with her good older male friend because #daddy issues. she is obsessed with true crime. there's a monkey named after her boobs. she's the ONLY member of the study group who could've EVER lived with troy & abed & incorporated herself into their dynamic the way she does in episodes like foosball & nocturnal vigilantism. my girl is so silly & a little crazy <3

Went to see a production of Cats with my gf, and here’s some cool shit that I noticed

- The woman they got to play Bombalurina was a goddess. My ace girlfriend actually leaned over to me when she came onstage and whispered “oh my god, she’s hot”.

- Skimbleshanks had a sweater vest and it made me insanely happy.

- Jennyanydots had the most sparkly tap shoes I’ve ever seen and I loved them.

- Rum Tum Tugger was an absolute delight. He wore cowboy boots. Instead of saying “meow” as he came onstage, he cackled like a hyena. He was (rightfully) very proud of his butt, and never missed an opportunity to show it off.

- The actor who played Tugger looked very young, and because of this, the actor who played Munkustrap seemed far more amused with his antics than most other versions I’ve seen. Like he’s watching his himbo younger brother preen like a peacock while the grown-ups try to get him to rein him in, and Munk is just like “nah, let him have his fun before the family anxiety sets in”

- I forget who was egging Pouncival on to scratch Grizabella (maybe Mungojerrie?), but you could tell Pounce didn’t want to. His poor little knees were knocking together.

- Bombalurina got such a death glare when she called Bustopher fat.

- Tugger spent the majority of Bustopher Jones hanging out on top of some junk, pouting because he wasn’t the center of attention. At one point, when Bustopher walks around greeting everyone, he sees Tugger and cheerfully waves at him. Tugger puts on a big grin and waves back...then as soon as Bustopher’s back is turned, it’s back to glaring daggers at him. Tugger is uncomfortable when we are not about him.

- Shae was originally sad Bustopher didn’t say “toodle pip” at the end of his song...until the Macavity crashing sound effect went off and everyone onstage freaked out, and Bustopher said it quickly as he ran off in a panic. I thought Shae was gonna die from laughter.

- Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer didn’t have cockney accents, and I know that’s because it’s an American cast and it wouldn’t make sense, but I just can’t think of that song without those ridiculous accents, I’m sorry.

- Old Deuteronomy’s make-up kind of made him look like a little old lady.

- During Victoria’s coming of age dance, Grizabella was up on the tire, mimicking the moves, like she was reliving when she got to perform that dance herself. It was a very sad, but incredibly clever little detail.

- Grizabella’s actress actually made sounds of pain as she tried to dance at the end of the Jellicle Ball sequence, to emphasize the fact she’s very old and probably sick. Another very sad, but cool detail.

- INTERMISSION ANECDOTES

- Shae and I did not have cheap seats. We were about three rows from the stage (they actually moved the orchestra to have the seating we were in), and for the two of us, the tickets were $300. The woman to my left was not having a good time. I saw her clap maybe three times the whole show.

- The couple to Shae’s right (two adorable lesbians) had never seen anything to do with Cats before, so they leaned over to Shae and said, “you guys seem to know what’s happening here. Why are they so mean to that old lady cat?” This prompted the two of us to give them a crash course on the bare-bones plot, the many fan interpretations of the characters, and the fact they should avoid the 2019 movie like a fungus.

- There was a family of six in the row in front of us, with a daughter who looked about thirteen. She heard us talking to the lesbian couple (specifically me talking about John Mills playing Gus in the 1998 filmed version, and how utterly heartbreaking it is), and mentioned how she knew a lot of that stuff too, but rarely found anyone to talk to about it. I wanted to give her a hug, because that’s exactly how I felt at fourteen when I first discovered this musical.

- Old Deuteronomy wandered back onstage before the intermission ended, and Shae and I made Grandpa Simpson jokes pretty much the entire time (my favorite was “I’m cold, and there are wolves after me!”)

- I did not like the lady they got to play Sillabub (Jemima’s American name for people who’ve not seen a stage version). She just...didn’t sound like she knew what she was doing.

- The guy who played Gus, however, was phenomenal. His voice was very deep and soothing.

- The cast actually gathered around Gus to hear his stories of being onstage, and it was really, really cute.

- The Pekes and the Pollicles actually was in this show, and went where Growltiger’s Last Stand usually goes. Gus plays the Rumpus Cat and it’s less of a hot mess and more of an adorable little impromptu number to make Gus feel better about his bygone youth and career and don’t touch me I’m sad.

- Tugger tattled on Sillabub and Victoria during Skimbleshanks, when they’re causing a ruckus during the “when Skimble was about and on the move” line.

- Macavity’s costume was okay. It was pretty neat because the way it was designed made it look like he was missing patches of fur.

- As per usual, Munkustrap and Demeter nuzzling in the glow of the flashlight after Macavity is chased away is cute as hell.

- Tugger and Mistoffelees have a secret handshake. That is all.

- Memory was immaculate. No notes.

- When everyone is welcoming Grizabella back, she gets to Old Deuteronomy and starts to bow, but he stops her and bows to her instead. It was incredibly sweet.

- Of course, Tugger was the last to leave the stage. He had to give us a pelvic thrust goodbye.

Crowned, Maria Regina

Note: I’m answering these as though I’m a member of the Tudor fandom in my Tudors OT3 AU universe because it’s fun. Crowned = this universes version of the Crown, which begins with the story of Asri (Queen Charlotte III), goes on to deal with the abdication of her oldest son  Surawirya (King Edward VI) after six months due to him attempting a restorationist coup of England and continues with the accession of his brother and then his brothers oldest daughter Shukria (Elizabeth I) the current queen. Mary Regina is a Terrible YA historical novel which does no one any favours. 

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): this book wants me to hate Thomas Cromwell and he’s my absolute favourite character the fucking end - what a good guy. Like I know the author wants me to think he’s evil but I…don’t understand. Opposites day. 

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): all the Boleyn-Tudor-Cromwell babies. I LOVE THEM. 

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave) Look obviously the Anne Boleyn of this story is a fucking travesty on so many levels but she’s HOT. And EVIL. And I am a lesbian (fun note I watched the movie version of this when I was in restoration hell and uh, it definitely awoke something) and also honestly I support her and whoever she wants to murder to get ahead. 

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week) Me at Mihrimah Sultan at all times. Also the actress carried the movie on her damn back. 

poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): Henry VIII in this is just here to be pathetic and under a spell and then die of being poisoned which is not him at all but I still adore him because he loves Thomas and Anne which like, relatable I too would let Anne Boleyn obviously poison me. 

horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): someone please give me a stick so I can make Robert Dudley suffer like the tragically bisexual disaster man that he is. 

eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): Mary’s husband. FUCK THAT MAN and not in a fun way I would put him in a washer full of legos and I would laugh. I was also going to say Maria (aka “Mary”) but she’s more a paper projection for the white restorationist ladies trying to find an acceptable way to be horny which look, I get it, I support you finding your sexuality however you can just…there’s so much better out there. 

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): I love Queen Zarghona at all times and at all places.
