soooo im gonna put this under a cut bc its A Chunk Of Words and it's also kind of heavy in places, given Pyre's backstory is uuuuh not all that pleasant. CW for allusions to past slavery

1. What was your Tav’s place of birth and raising like?

Pyre was born in Thay to a succubus mother and an unknown father, and was abandoned fairly young. He was in his teens when he was sold to an Archmage, as demons and their ilk are typically seen as trophies and tools more than anything in Thay. His master was an older elf who was working to become a lich in order to maintain his wealth, knowledge, and standing eternally, without losing his mind in the process.

2. What relationship did your Tav have with their family/guardian(s) growing up? Has that changed with age?

He never really knew his "family," and his relationship with his master was essentially the only thing he knew for a very long time. His master was incredibly paranoid about all his secrets and arcane knowledge, and didn't trust having living servants in his manor. So, Pyre was tended to daily by an entourage of undead thralls. The ones who took care of him weren't able to speak, and he was never sure if they understood him beyond basic requests and commands, but he gave a few of them names and would have conversations with them when his master was busy with something else. It's why he's actually pretty chill with intelligent undead, even if he's got some complicated feelings about necromancy in general.

6. What is your Tav’s favourite childhood memory?

The first time he ever flew. He threw himself off a tower of his master's manor. He didn't get far before he was shot down, but for a brief moment he knew what freedom tasted like. It ended with his wings being removed, but he never forgot how incredible it felt in the moment, and he attributes that moment to his eventual escape. It was incredibly bittersweet, but he doesn't think he'd have survived what he went through without that memory buoying him.

9. What was your Tav doing when they were taken by the mind flayers?

Tbh probably just traveling. He no longer considers himself a soldier, but he was still acting as a wandering mercenary more than anything. He was likely helping tiefling refugees in his own right.

24. What first impression does your Tav give off to strangers?

B....big. No, seriously, this man is enormous. He's like scraping 7 ft, and im not sure if im counting the horns or not bc im indecisive. He's also eerily quiet for how big he is and the armor he's wearing. Very much the typical strong, silent type that could crush your head like a soda can with his bare hands if pressed.

25. How does your Tav feel about what others think of them?

He Does Not Care <3 He stopped caring about that shit a long time ago, and tbh I think he feels all the freer for it. Too much f his life was lost being treated like a doll, carved and twisted into someone else's desired image, for him to give a single fuck about what someone else thinks about the man he made himself with fire and fury and bloody-mouthed determination.

26. Does your Tav have a treasured item with them? If yes, what is it and why is it special? If no, how do they feel about item sentimentality in general?

He's a fairly simple man, and he's also constantly on the move, so he tends to pack light and only necessities, but he's got a small book of poetry that has Seen Some Shit. it's one of the first things he ever bought for himself when he was free. It's thumbed through, the spine is broken, and there are pressed flowers between the pages.

30. What are your Tav’s intentions/goals after the end of the game?

Tbh, I'm not sure about this one yet! He's been a wanderer for so long, he doesn't really know much else. I think he and Astarion would just wander together for a while, go adventuring. Pyre's dedication is more to his oath than to Selune, so he'd probably still feel the urge to go where he thinks he's needed, but I also think the both of them have earned the right to rest and just be safe.

So when I was 17, my cat went missing and I'd given up hope of ever seeing him again.

Until on Monday, 27th of May, 2024, my friend sent me a FB post asking 'isn't that your mother?' about the person named on the microchip.

Here he is! 16 years old, and found safe, twelve whole years after he went missing!

Yesterday (Tuesday the 28th of May, 2024) I went to the rescue that had him, and I reclaimed my boy, renaming him Artie! (He'd originally been called 'Cat' because my mother and I couldn't decide on a name)

He's home safe with me now, currently inhabiting my bathroom and purring up a storm every time someone goes in there!

I'll be doing slow introductions between him and my current cat to give them the best possible chance of living in harmony!

yes yes we all see how jayce has to follow the steps of viktor's journey, to climb all the way up from the lowest bottom (zaun) to the highest top (piiltover) with a damaged leg...

but why is his leg damaged? it is not the fall down that leads to the fracture. no. it's his hammer.

jayce's leg is crushed by his own hammer. the same hammer he used as a weapon, betraying his and viktor's original hextech dream of progress, hope and prosperity, for zaun and piltover both. the same hammer he used to kill a zaunite child. the same hammer, the symbol of jayce's choice: confrontation over progress, council chamber over a science lab, everyone else's expectations over viktor, golden boy over partner. the same hammer, a promise broken.

it's the consequence of his own actions that damages jayce's leg.

his hammer - with everything it symbolizes - crushes him. so later we see jayce dismantle it to brace his leg.

jayce lets the past go with all it's mistakes, leaves it behind and climbs up, and then, and there, he gets a new hammer. a new promise. a new oath.

I know the internet is full of hyperbole but I can honestly say that[to me] every Superman production has missed the mark on the Clark/Superman difference until now. I can confidently say that because it’s irked me for years.

This might be the first production to actually really get into the weeds with some simple changes, use lighting, costuming, hair&makeup (peep the contour!)to convey that Clark and Supes look nothing alike. This is so cool to me!!!!! They finally did it.

Shout out to the departments. Shout out to whoever realized they needed way bigger (longer)eyeglass frames with a thick bridge that would alter the appearance of his nose making him unclockable. Whoever you are, I love this work. I love how the base of the cape on the shoulders and the collar work together. It gets the job done but also looks like it was comfortable to wear during hours of shooting. I love that supes has a bit of contouring in the makeup differing from Clark. Shout out to whoever decided to make Clark’s suits oversized and flimsy! It accurately demonstrates Clark’s attempt to look like a little fish in a big pond. He’s not just like that; everything is a choice with him.

Shout out to Peter King and Lindsay McCallister on the hair design/hair story. They did their big one. Clark’s hair is such a big change(so fluffy and undressed!) and accurately shows how someone would manipulate their curly hair to change their appearance. Superman’s hair really works. Honey, that hair is dressed! It is reminiscent enough to please fans but different enough to feel fresh. I like that it’s rounded on top instead of square.

Also I’ve never seen this actor before in my life but he is embodying my man in the trailer so that is also exciting. I don’t even care if the movie is good. I’m a bit over hero movies but I love me some Supes. Everyone seems to really be invested in the visuals of this project. The commitment to color is commendable after years of dark grey low lit mess. Anyway…

I love new faces. I love movies! I love departments! I love unions! I hate David Zaslav!

the sheets rustle softly as you slip out from his grip. you slowly tiptoe across your shared bedroom, craving the simple pleasure of being able to enjoy making coffee alone. the smell of freshly ground beans fills the kitchen, and you lean against the counter, enjoying the quiet morning.

but as your coffee brews, a twinge of guilt creeps in and you can almost imagine when he'll wake up and wonder where you've gone. despite enjoying the well needed alone time, you knew the longing to be close to him will pull you back into his embrace sooner than you'd planned. almost as if in complete sync with your thoughts, you hear a mumble approaching the kitchen, and then his voice, thick with sleep, calling out softly,
