OBSESSING over Kekkai Sensen again like it’s 2015 and I just found the show all over again

I am OBSESSED with Klaus and Leo’s relationship because it is fundamentally a man who is as intimidating as possible and a man who is as unintimidating as possible forming a bond of trust that begins with the very first meeting and only strengthens over time. Leonardo is the tiniest little guy and Klaus is so big and when you put the pair of them right beside each other, it is the funniest visual contrast.

And they both have the primary colour of red, the colour of passion and pain and suffering and obsession because they are both passionate and pained and suffering and obsessed and they fit together so well, with Leonardo seeing exactly what Klaus needs, they are a functionally perfect duo.

And they trust each other so much, SO MUCH. Leo trusts Klaus more than anyone else in the office (he SAYS SO in the manga) and Klaus trusts what Leo says without a second thought (partially because he is just that type of guy) and Leo is constantly and consistently thinking about making Klaus proud of him and Klaus’ words are what give him the courage to keep moving forward and Klaus gets questioned on hiring Leo so many times but always says it’s Very Necessary and-

The mach monkey is so fucking cute I can barely even stand it. on the one hand the super coordinated clean well designed homes are always fun to see and build and play in, but there's a special place in my heart for homes where some things just don't really go together, or are outdated not because it's a retro theme but because sometimes people hold onto or inherit things, or express personal taste that wouldn't be considered trendy or fashionable. I like putting weird/stupid little items in builds that have a "we saw this on a vacation and thought it was so funny that we bought it and now it lives in our kitchen forever" or "this lamp belonged to grandma and we don't have the heart to throw it out" feel.

i must say it does annoy me when i see people implying byleth's life "got better" after she came to the officer's academy, that her life was "empty" before because she was "just a mercenary" who traveled from place to place for jobs (and also implying that she was unhappy and unfulfilled??? ok...), just completely disregarding the fact that before her arrival to garreg mach she'd spent her entire 20 yrs of life with her father+fellow mercs in their troupe. idt people think about byleths past a lot when they make their "byleth as the archbishop is the BEST ending" metas. she was barely at the monastery for a year before she fell from that cliff. in that year, her father was killed. she was (supposedly) completely disconnected from the rest of their merc troupe because she was tasked with teaching/had no time to do anything else. (not even accounting for the entire situation concerning her stillbirth/her mother's life and death and why that happened the way it did.) idt that's as easily disregardable as some of the metas ive read imply. idt it's unreasonable to assume byleth would harbor resentment for the establishment that resulted in her entire life being upended in an, ultimately, very negative way. the reason byleths past (and personal feelings) is so disregarded in the game is because they're reduced to a figurehead/a tool to be used in aid of someone else's aspirations/plans and it's executed very well. it's very deliberate (imo). the reason that some people like the "byleth goes back to being a merc" ending route despite how unforgiving that lifestyle is because it's the route in which she retains the most agency over her body/life. ironically enough, despite being born into a merc group, the mercenary life is one of the only things she was able to "choose" for herself

this is obvious but i was thinking about how whenever soubi thinks about how ritsuka processes "love" (ie "masochist or angel" chapter) it's not at all dissimilar to how soubi himself is, maybe not with "love" really but "attachment"... soubi unknowingly identifying with ritsuka in some way... regardless of everything though they obviously have a pretty deep understanding between each other
