oh i love when we get onto the topic of the friendships in bts and how we perceive them. care to share which pairs, by your definition, would you call soulmates - if any? and what is your definition of soulmates?

to me soulmates are people whose souls seem to be related, made out of similar matter, people who understand each other on a deeper level that they don't share with others. i think the only true pair of soulmates in bts are jihope but i can also see namseok being called that

damn i was trying to think of a non hoseok pair but can't think of any i would assign the soulmates status. there are great friendships in there but imo not soulmates.

funnily, i wouldn't call vmin soulmates because they themselves have stated many times just how different they are (i understand that they must have a different definition of a soulmate than me).

I'd define soulmates as just a deep connection between two people built on top of a collection of things, or maybe not even many things but just something important. I don't personally believe in the concept of having a soulmate being a single romantic partnership, but more that people can have multiple soulmates and they can be toward anyone who you (general) can have strong connections to.

So based on my own definition I'd still probably choose the same two duos that you named, Jihope and Namseok. I mean clearly since I have my blog named after them and they are one of my absolute favorite dynamics, I think extremely highly of Namseok. I think they have a lot in common as people that then helps shape their overall relationship and how they present it. Both are extremely hardworking, often putting work above all other aspects of their life, they care about their craft and continue to challenge and change themselves as artists. They both value creativity, they value collaboration, they value expression, they enjoy periods of solitude, and periods of connection, Hoseok in the form of his family, while Namjoon seeks out his friends. They're very like-minded in their beliefs and how they go about supporting those beliefs (they both voted in the last S. Korean election, showcasing they value politics and their role in that process, they are also the two members who donate the most amount of money to causes they support, they are the two who showcase the most support to Love Your W, which is specifically a campaign for breast cancer awareness, etc.) And on top of all that ''heavier stuff'' they have a lot of trivial interests and behaviors that overlap. They're both the most active on social media, and engage with each other often, they both value public displays of support, they both value gift giving (as seen by Joon gifting Hobi a bunch of stuff from art to clothes to jewelry), they have similar taste in music, similar taste in art forms (figures, paintings), and just so much more. One last thing I'll bring up is their constant communication, like no matter how far away they are or what the other is doing they always stay in some form of contact. They make phone calls, they text each other, they're in group chats, like they both talk openly about just how frequently they talk to each other even about little things. Like Hobi texting Joon about how loud it was at his hotel in Chicago, sending him a video to give him an idea of how noisy is was, it's so simple and can be so easily overlooked but that's literally the kinda shit I'd do with MY close friends or family like 'can you believe this shit? listen to this!' And their convos can range from silly things to much deeper as we've seen over the years. They're an exceptional support system for each other within BTS, they help each other and cover each other's back in ways no one else really can mostly due to the age hierarchy, like it cannot be understated how important it is that they are 'same-aged' friends and don't need to put any emphasis on being a hyung or a maknae to the other, making it even more freeing for the both of them.

But yeah, I feel like I write out a lot of this every time Namseok gets brought up with me LOL but all of this is just why they have become pretty much my favorite duo within BTS. I would not have a blog dedicated to them if there wasn't a ton of stuff to love about them and their dynamic.

As for Jihope, I won't write as an intense of essay but for them it's really like a 'core' connection. As in, Hoseok and Jimin are extremely similar PEOPLE and therefore connect together pretty seamlessly. The core of their character is the same IMO, like how they value people is the same. How they connect to people is the same. They have a lot of the same emotional ability to connect to others and love others to a high degree. Which makes it super easy for them to love and connect to each other 'cause they 'get' each other, ya know? So even if there are the age barriers that exist in their culture it doesn't affect them too much 'cause Jimin doesn't just respect Hoseok as an older friend, or Hoseok caring about Jimin as a younger friend, that's just their character, they would be that way even if they were the same age, 'cause that's who they are as people.

Soooo yeah, that's why it's really easy I think to like dynamics with either of them honestly, to your point of like, seeing how all of Hoseok's connections are the best. I'd say that's the case with both but I have my biases for Jimin's duos too, but that's not to say that most of his dynamics aren't also good because he makes them good!

Frustrated about my inability to explain or advocate for myself because my brain can't hold onto the thoughts long enough to be able to do so. I love my adhd being debilitating and cutting off my ability to properly communicate lol (coupled with the autism, here). Like it's very upsetting that it affects my creativity. I've never really been a creative naturally, it is not something that comes easy to me in the slightest, but of course I decided to make this thing that I have to claw tooth and nail to even accomplish the bare minimum my entire sense of self and worth (which is not me trying to say people who are creatively inclined more naturally don't work for it, but the way they talk about it and the way I experience it are vastly different- which I can't properly explain because. Gestures to the rest of this post.) I can't form ideas the way other people can, I can't remember things long enough to do them, I can't connect ideas together the way you need to be able to do to Create things, but also in a real world sense it blocks me from being able to get help because I can't explain my experiences, I can't properly talk to people because I can't remember what I'm saying. I'm even having trouble writing this post because I can't remember what I'm trying to say, trying desperately to jog my brain into being able to connect or even FORM a thought to be able to express myself, and I just...can't. I don't have the ability. And a lot of other people with adhd don't seem to understand this and it makes me feel even worse about myself because if they can do it, why can't I? What is the difference between them and me, that allows them to do these things that feel insurmountable to me when we supposedly have the same brain problem? That what they lament as them being a failure still, is a level of ability that I would kill for? How am I not supposed to see them doing these things and feel like there is something even more innately wrong with me, when they all can do them and I can't?

Especially when they turn around and tell me they understand, when they very clearly do not, because if they're able to accomplish these things they obviously are not in the same position that I am, and when I try and express that I get spit on with the "it's not a competition!" because the idea that other people experience the disability in a different way than them is not acceptable, or something. I don't come up to them telling them how much worse I have it, they always come to me telling me we're the same and I pushback against that because no, we aren't, please stop telling me my experience is the same as yours, and they fire up in outrage, and I'm so tired. It feels like brain damage, most of the time. It's like when you forget a word and nothing you do helps you remember it, but for everything. I can't focus on anything, not even my own thoughts- I can barely form thoughts, let alone get them out of my head lol. & I think what happens is people who have a similar experience but not exact think I'm being self-deprecating/hating or dramatic or hard on myself instead of trying to explain my reality, which makes them tell me my experience isn't real, look at this thing you managed to make that one time, this is proof you're lying and nothing you're saying is real or true, you're being dramatic, you CAN do it, you're just being self-deprecating, that I just need to try harder, that things will get better, when they aren't getting better, I'm declining and rapidly getting worse, and because of all that above I can't advocate for myself and properly tell them they're wrong. They want to pat themselves on the back for telling me to get over it and be more like them, they think they're being supportive and understanding and relatable. And then people will look at this post that took me around an hour to write and made me physically nauseous from how hard I had to think to do it where I'm still not properly explaining myself or getting my point across that I want to, and decide the same thing as above, so any attempts I make to explain how hard things are for me in my specific mental situation make people go "well you managed it then, so obviously it's not true and you're lying and I fully understand your experience and we are the same" and I just. Screams long and loud and exhaustedly into my hands. I just want to be able to think. I just want the brainfog to clear up. It never will, will it. I'm just? Like this? Forever?

Watching myself decline is so scary and so hard. It's just so...exhausting. And upsetting. And it feels like nobody understands, and I can't explain myself to MAKE them understand, and I would do literally anything just to be able to think coherently, to be able to put things together, to form a thought properly. Being in deep autistic burnout and heavy suicidal depression at the same time has not helped things, lol. I have like every possible thing that affects mental clarity piled up on top of me that then make each other worse because of it. Its honestly kind of hilarious at this point! And everyone I've talked to tells me medication doesn't help them, and even if it does it still doesn't for everyone, and with my track record I know for me it probably won't, and I just- how am I supposed to want to get to 30 being like this? How am I supposed to want to enter my 30's being this way? Still untreated, declining, getting worse, with no bright side to look forward to, losing everything I care about and everything I've based my sense of self around. It's not a life worth living if I can't cling to my artistic expressions but I'm losing them, and I don't think I can get them back. Other people take joy in their neurodivergency but I would do absolutely anything to get rid of mine. This is torture.

Hey, I could use use some...not necessarily advice, but encouragement I guess about writing darker fics. I know I shouldn't compare and I should just write what I like but the fics I see that are popular, especially on tumblr are pretty different than what I want to write (not that i dont like them too) and as someone who hasn't written much it's hard to not want to write fics that I think more people might like because I want to know if my writing itself is any good and i don't want to get discouraged by negative feedback (or no feedback because no one reads it) that isnt even based on writing. I know it's holding me back and I have to just push through my insecurities but its hard! Actually i lied, I'm asking for advice lol, how did you build confidence in yourself as a writer when you started?

Hi! I'm sorry this reply is so late! OK, so; advice on building confidence as a writer! Amazing Q.

Firstly, I'd just like to say that anyone writing dark fic should be PROUD of themselves no matter what - all writing is hard and requires work. Self-expression and creative exploration are beautiful. So many fic writers are discouraged for numerous reasons, purity culture and fandom policing being high among them, which sorely deprives the fandom of balance, new material and dare i say some truly masterful stories told in a darker shade.

For building confidence as a writer, I use ✨️The Triangle of Delusion✨️ method, which I invented. Please bear in mind this is my method for myself and as with all methods/advice, this may not apply to others.

So, top of the triangle: passion.

Passion is your ink, your drive, your everything. Without it, I am utterly lost. Finding ways to ignite and sustain your passion is essential. Passion, enthusiasm, obsession, hyperfixation, it is so important to my confidence. If I'm obsessed, I literally will write for myself and no one else, which you should always be doing.

Next part: delusion.

This is KEY. I will detach myself utterly from reality and gas myself up constantly, become my own biggest fan, reread all the time, romanticise my process, make my desk beautiful and BUY INTO my own art like a crazy person. I am absolutely delusional, always, about my own talent. My passion fuels this.

Part three: knowing that you can always improve.

This is something I talk about sometimes but with confidence, this is ESSENTIAL! When you inevitably read something WAY better than what you've written, instead of being disheartened, know that this is your sign from the universe to level up, branch out and explore! I never read anything and think "I could never do that" and I am ALWAYS open to improving myself, I get so excited about it! This in turn fuels my passion.

The triangle therefore becomes self sustaining. Confidence requires a little touch of madness, in my opinion.

im gonna ramble about my old hetalia fandom experience and memories for a minute bc im feeling nostalgic. snip snip

so i got into hetalia in 2012 after seeing a screening with my friend @mephilesthegay at an anime con. i dont remember much about the process of me falling in love with it at the time, but i do remember tumblr was a huge influence on that--i discovered the ask blog community, which was SUPER huge in the hetalia fandom at the time, and i wanted in! so, i made askdeadpreussen, which was my first and most loved hetalia ask blog for an au of prussia where he was...dead. lol. b/c if u know hetalia u know that theres a whole thing about prussia being dead at some point

i think the ask blogs were what really drew me into the fandom part. i had multiple ask blogs--dead prussia to start, and then a BUNCH of 2ptalia blogs...even a 3p/4ptalia blog at one point! it was a fun way to interact with other fans and artists as well as work on my own art skills. i really do miss ask blog days ngl but my energy would not allow for that as much x'D

but ya like. i made so many friends from my hetalia days! i still have a couple :) we've all kind of moved on from it of course and gotten other interests, but we all still have that tying us together

its crazy how hetalia held so many different interest points for me. honestly the base hetalia concept wasnt necessarily what appealed to me (the whole humanized country thing); it was mostly the way the characters interacted with each other and their relationships as people rather than nations. that, and the whole au scene that came from them. oh my god the aus...even the canon ones! its crazy how many canon variants hetalia has. mochitalia, nyotalia, nekotalia, chibitalia (even tho chibitalia is just..them as children so its not rly an au per se)--i consider 2ptalia canon as well b/c the creator made it. but the fandom made so many cool aus themselves as well! demontalia and wingtalia and monstertalia were just a few that i remember and loved!

i think i was way more into 2ptalia than base hetalia anyway. 3p/4ptalia was a big interest by extension but not a lot of ppl really liked 3p/4ptalia. i was one of the weirdos that did x'D i just love "same but different" stuff !!!! i think thats where i got it from, was the 2p/3p/4ptalia stuff

hetalia really shaped a lot of who i am, at least in regards to interests and stuff. plus? the art style i had when i was big into hetalia is probably the best art style i ever had. it was definitely Me, and i still try to use it every now and then--you can see it in my "natural" art style that i try to use sometimes. hetalia really influenced my childhood for better or for worse, including my early art career lol

anyway. all of this to say despite its glaring flaws, i appreciate that hetalia was a part of my life at one point. for one reason or another it got me interested in learning new languages and learning about new cultures, which whether intentional or not, it happened, so theres also that. this isnt me praising it for being ~culturally explorative/appreciative~ or anything like that bc it obviously has its problems, but im just saying for me personally it did open up new worlds and ideas to me that i dont think i would have had if i hadnt been into it--friends, creative ideas, artistic expressions, fandom experiences...all of that was thanks to hetalia for me

Hi. I'm starting a personal brand which helps entrepreneurs/artists/ creators with creative expression.

It centers around the problems of

It also centers around how different mediums can be implemented in expressing ideas to your audience. I use a lot of art and graphic design in my posts as my way of expressing my ideas.

It also touches a bit on self love (to over come self doubt). I'm also into philosophy and I want to talk on topics that can hinder ones creative process like:

• Self immolation (self destructive thoughts and action),

• Filling up on water and shame (everyday procrastination and the shame that comes with it),

• looking at the mirror (hating your ideas or problems),

• why should I hide, when I'm special ( finding your unique winning idea, believing you can do it and expressing your ideas),

• vulnerability is sexy af (learn how to be open to expressing your thoughts and emotion),etc

I also want to write about other artists and creators who i like, and have a very intricate way of expressing themselves (like Cindy Sherman) and paintings/ painters that can be connected to these problems of expression (like Frida Kahlo's way of expressing herself and dissecting how one can express themselves in an intricate way) so that we can learn from them.

(As you can see I'm very much into art)

Currently, I've taken a break from my brand to figure this out. I write insights and advice on how my audience can solve these problems. I'm planning to implement storytelling as well.

My brand image is very creative, bubbly and cheerful overall, revolves around authenticity that invites people to feel comfortable with my brand. I tend to have a poetic way to writing and I like to use gen Z memes as well.

In the near future, I plan to write my first ebook as a digital product giving actionable advice on how one can enhance their brand by taking their ideas, giving them a creative twist and getting them out there.

Something I've noticed a lot lately is people I know picking up some kind of craft as a hobby and then deciding to create an "art account" on social media for it. I want to talk about this phenomenon with love and with no judgment towards them personally or their art/crafts.

This is a distinct phenomenon from people who identify themselves as Serious Artists (study art in school or on their own, have another portfolio of some kind, and/or aspire to make art professionally or in some formally published capacity, etc) creating an account to promote their work. I really mean it when I say they've taken up creating art or crafts simply as a hobby (no disrespect, this is a great thing to do).

I guess I'm confused about the urge to share on social media if you're not practicing the craft in a serious way or aim to have a professional online presence. What happened to just showing your friends when you see them? Or texting a picture? Or even just doing it for yourself without going out of your way to share it? Its weird to me that sharing your art/creations with people you know now takes this impersonal detour so that they share their support for you in a comments section instead in-person or in a personal text chat.

I'm wondering why this is. First of all, the curation of such an account itself can be another type of hobby. We all remember the Aesthetic Blog era on tumblr, where everyone wanted to make their own meticulously curated and manicured ~aesthetic experience~. In a way, this is similar to scrap booking or collage making and it is its own creative outlet.

But it not all of these accounts do seem to have a curated aesthetic. So what then?

There is almost a social pressure to make accounts dedicated to this sort of thing. It also applies to some types of fitness accounts I guess. (But I think mental or physical health recovery/journey accounts don't fall into this category, as they serve a different function in the world.) People are often inspired to take up a certain hobby because of social media accounts that are dedicated to it. Creating one's own account is a sort of way to enter into parasocial interaction with this given community. In a weird way, it can feel like you have to document the things you do on social media in order to make them feel more real or valid. Maybe posting online is a way to hold yourself accountable to actually working on your projects or to affirm that your hobby is a valuable use of time.

Another thing is that it can be really scary and vulnerable to show people something you made. Doing it on social media relieves a lot of the pressure from that interaction because you can't directly see anyone's response (facial expression, tone, etc) and because if they don't respond, it could be because they simply didn't see it (whereas if you texted them, they would be somewhat obligated to acknowledge it).

I'm having a big existential moment about how fucking online everything is. I started knitting because a hot friend I had a crush on knitted and I thought she was so cool. Where has that vibe gone? Lol taking up a hobby because an IRL hot girl does it is better than taking up a hobby because an Instagram girlie does it. At least you can have a conversation about it with the IRL hot girl, not a weird parasocial interaction where you send her an anon or a DM about how she inspired you and she responds saying how touched she is but then you never speak again.

chiron represents “the wound healer”. it represents our core wounds, how we can overcome them, and wounds we can help other people with even though we have trouble resolving these wounds for ourselves.

the 5th house is ruled by the sun and leo. it represents creativity, artistic endeavors, children, the inner child, causal romance, sexuality, the heart and back, gambling, hobbies, pride, bravery, courage, entertainment, pleasure, theater/acting, etc. 

so, naturally you could struggle with most or all the themes of the 5th house such as creativity, self-expression, children or your inner child, sexuality,  romance, etc. 

you could scars or wounds in your back area or near your heart 

be weary of developing a gambling addiction or gambling too excessively 

this placement can make you pretty imaginative and creatively inclined

however, you can have a hard time with this because you cannot take pride in your work. you feel as though nothing that you bring to the table is valid, such as since Van Gogh is an amazing painter and is known as a brilliant artist. maybe I shouldn’t be a painter because I will never be as good as him. When that shouldn’t be the case at all. 

so what? make the fucking art and share your love and creativity to the world. you are meant to pursue the things that make you the happiest, regardless of what they are or what the world thinks of them. do not measure your greatness by someone else's.

you probably have been wounded in a casual romance before and have sought out the wrong type of partner multiple times because of it. however, it seems like you give the best relationship advice. you can see the flaws and good qualities of partners for other people before they can see it form themselves. 

you can probably be mistaken for a very serious and straight to business person from people on the outside, but in actuality you are one of the most playful and goofiest person they will ever meet

mostly likely, you were not given the time or space to be a child in your youth 

while growing up, you were probably in a strict household, were criticized a lot as a child, or something happened to you in your childhood that caused you to not be able to experience the fun of being a child. so, naturally you have a hard time now trying to let your guard down to have fun in the present. there is probably a lot you want to let loose and do, but you can’t because of this restriction. please allow yourself to have fun.

i have seen that in some people this could manifest as a deep wound relating to sexuality and their fear of being true to themselves. they instead are forced to hide who they are due to rejection or from criticism.

this could also symbolize that you feel guilty for being happy or bringing attention to yourself. you were/are probably hyper-aware and critical of yourself.

this placement can also make you second guess yourself due to the 5th house dealing with bravery, courage, and pride (because of it’s leo rulership) the limitation of what you are capable of is placed here and you often talk yourself out of things because of it 

you may constantly seek validation from others due to not having it as a child when truly the only validation you ever need was from yourself

in extreme cases and left unhealed, you could have issues with your own children. You could be unknowingly restrictive to them or allow them too much freedom as a way to compensate for your own feelings. 

you are probably very uplifting to others showcasing their creativity and pride in whatever their endeavors are and confidence in themselves, but you have a hard time doing it for yourself. you make sure others are heard and feel important. you can be like everyone’s personal hype man. you can also be very good at playing cupid with other people.

healing things to do would be connecting to your inner child by doing things you used to do as a child. and, if you can’t remember these things, try to reconnect with this wounded inner child to discover new things about yourself. I could see shadow work involving the inner child being helpful. find what truly makes you happy 

finding creative ways to heal can be beneficial 

learn to be vulnerable with yourself, and then to others. live from the heart. 

come out of your shell. you can take up space now and be the main attention. you deserve it so much. you are unique, you are special. you do not have to hide it anymore

learn to live in the moment. finding the confidence in yourself to go out and be creative and carefree will help you to heal. finding the self-confidence to shine and love for yourself and whatever you do. be who you are  regardless of what others think is the key to healing your own wounds and leading (leo/5th house) others discover their confidence and creativity as well.

Kisses with Johnny are soft and loving.

I think he expresses his love both verbally and through actions. He feels very comfortable expressing his love to you once he gets used to things.

Whenever he compliments you or whenever he's around you in general. You get this wide smile and fond look in your eyes. He would never forget that look on your face the first time he saw it.

You'll either be outside in the lot by a fire watching the stars or bundled up in blankets in your room staring out the window. Nights with the two of you are comfortable.

He'd be pretty open with how he feels about you and the joyful moments and memories he has. But when it comes to... other things he's a bit more reluctant to talk to you about it.

Not very easily angered at all. Again, Johnny is very neutral with people he loves so he'll only get angry or defensive with them when he feels like he absolutely has to.

Wrapped in each other are just basking in the comfort the both of you give to one another.

Johnny's romantic and can sometimes be cliché in the compliments he gives you. I feel like he would go to Pony to think of a more poetic way of expressing his feelings to you.

When situations are tense and he feels like you are in danger he can get very protective. He'll whip out his blade in a second if someone was trying to harm you.

I feel like it would take a little bit to get together only because Johnny was so nervous in the beginning to tell you how he truly felt about you.

This placement reveals itself differently in all charts.

Composite sun in the sixth house deals with routine. It could be common for people to have composite sun in the sixth house to regularly see each other and work with each other. One thing I have noticed is a tendency for one person to put themselves above the other. It could also indicate one person helping another with mental or physical health.

Composite sun in the seventh house deals with lovers and enemies. This is such a powerful placement that manifests in such extreme ways. This is the one placement I couldn’t find a lot of physical examples for, which was interesting. A spiritual and everlasting bond ties the two together. This allows for intense healing and revaluations for both people involved. For the brightest planet that surrounds the ego to be placed in the darkest house that rejects ego is very symbolic and intriguing to me. This placement is definitely unforgettable. Alright so as a whole I think the way others might perceive someone with these placement is as someone who is unpredictable, spontaneous, rebellious, and easy/fun to be around. They seem to be a bit of a charmer, but might use their charm too often that they may use it as a way to keep people at a distance (lol does that make sense?). They like talking to people and learning about others, especially seeing what makes people stand out and special, but they might do this with everyone to the point where they don't let many people get to know them. However they are probably quite vocal about what they like and what they don't. People might know them to be someone who marches to the beat of their own drum and they might be someone who questions traditions or customs a lot. They might have a strong sense of who they are and who they want to be and how they want to be seen (not when young though). They love anything that goes against the norm and most likely wants to be seen as so. They express themselves freely and uniquely and might have a specific form of expression they prefer whether it be fashion, music, makeup, literature or even in the way they speak. Venus being in the 2nd house here might come to play in the sense that it adds a hard working nature to drive this person to see out their ideas. It also adds a hedonistic nature to someone who is already a bit of a rebel so they really might just do whatever they want when they want to.
