y’know, it’s kinda weird to see the cultural impact hypmic’s left on japan lol like the amount of random rap battle scenes in anime?? artists adding rap solos in their songs?? more and more jpop taking hip hop inspiration??? wild lol
#vee queued to fill the void#like i think about the fact hypmic opened up international tickets for the 8th live before we knew tourists were allowed back in#and then some odd weeks later tourism opened back up lol like?????#does the jp tourism dept in the government have kr on speed dial or something lol????#when you read the older interviews with the og cast hypmic seems to have capitalised on a few popular trends at the time#but literally nobody expected it’s overwhelming success lol#it’s fun seeing what j artists are putting out tho lol like hayama-san’s been obsessed with chanmina lately a bad bitch out there in japan#and he recommended her in this week’s spotify podcast for her message on womens beauty standards#and the way she delivered it was craaaaaaazy like that’s rap right there lmao#i love creativity!!!!!! i love seeing how people express themselves in different ways lol!!!!!!#so i would like to thank hypmic for further opening that door and also being a gateway for others to get into rap and hip hop 😌
