Au from the end of season 4
Warning body horror (obviously, if anyone knows my favorite tropes)
Instead of being cast by Kayne into the past, Arthur is plopped back with Oscar, and Noel got to a hospital in time. The Butcher wasn't killed. Kayne took him as a pet.
Jon is now basically the basically the whole of Kiy, which will take a toll on Arthur's body
Arthur and John already hashed out their arguement and Arthur is staying with Noel, since he still hasn't told Oscar about John... Arthur doesn't know that Noel already told Oscar since he assumed he knew.
K? K. That's the context
Maybe demon Oscar because fuck you love that concept
"Arthur." John's voice was a new constant he has grown used to. It hasn't even been a year yet, and there are already so many lies and truths between them. Yet Arthur didn't hate him, hard to when they share a body, and now he was realizing slowly sharing a few more things.
Arthur sighs. "What is it, John?"
"Noel is staring at us." John huffs. "He looks like he wants to ask you a question."
Arthur turns his head in the wrong direction before John corrects him, and his gaze is looking past the detective, he knew he is focused. "Yes?"
"Well, um..." Noel crossed his arms. "You're eyes. They seem to be glowing."
"My eyes?" Arthur frowns. "John?"
"Just because I see through your eyes does not mean I have the power to change them." John huffs. "Besides." He throws up Arthur's left hand, the one he controls. "How can I change something of your biology?"
Arthur grabs his left hand. "I didn't expect you to get all defensive. I merely asked a question." He sighs. "They glow? How?"
"Your eyes went from blue yesterday to yellow and glowing." Noel shrugs and gets up. "However it could be that Kayne fellow fucking with you."
"That is unfortunately a possibility." John seemed to agree.
"Would rather not come to that conclusion." Arthur swallows. "However off topic, are you sure you want me...us to work with you?"
"You're as sharp as a whip kid, and I could use you both on some tricky cases." Noel stretches. "So that's a yes to Monday?"
"Yes." Arthur agrees quickly.
"Good rest up. You've got tomorrow to prepare." Noel chuckles and is heard walking to the stairs. "Oscar wishes to speak to you tomorrow."
John huffs.
"Ah, right, thank you." Arthur smiles.
.. ...
Arthur thinks he's staring in the mirror, but John is being quiet. "So? What do you see?"
John was quiet for a moment longer. "The room is dark. You haven't turned the light on yet. I can see us. Our eyes no longer blue now glow a yellow, seemingly illuminating a small part of the room." He pauses again. "I believe this is my fault. I don't think I've completely returned my projection.... I don't believe I know how to."
Arthur swallows. "Is there anything else you're not telling me?"
"You've missed a spot shaving." John huffs.
"Very funny, but I'm serious it's bad enough that we are now sharing feelings for my body, but no more lies." Arthur frowns.
"There's an odd feeling in your... our stomach it doesn't hurt, but it's odd. I don't understand what that means."
"John, it's hunger." Arthur rubs his face, feeling the spot John mentioned. "We're hungry."
"Hungry? Why do I feel that? It's bad enough that we both can feel the distraction between our legs." John sounded annoyed. "Projecting myself doesn't... it shouldn't mean we should be sharing these feelings. I've never felt hunger before."
"Right, well, let me know what other senses we share besides the one you've mentioned." Arthur sighs. "We should prepare for bed."
"You should prepare." John corrects. "I still don't sleep."
Arthur sighs
....
"Arthur!" John shouted in Arthur's mind. "Arthur, wake up!"
Arthur screwed his eyes shut until he felt ethereal hands on his ankles and dragged him out of bed with a loud crash to the floor.
"We are hungry! I do not like the feeling." John huffs as he sinks back into Arthur.
Arthur groans and gets to his feet he can hear a soft snickering behind him he knew wasn't John.
The voice was accented and soft. He knew it belonged to Oscar. "I apologize, Noel had let me in. When he spoke of this, John, I didn't think he meant it in a literal sense."
"Noel told you?" Arthur turned to the sound of the voice ignoring John's protests of getting food and not talking.
"He assumed I knew." Oscar shrugs. "I'll keep your secret it's the least I can do for both of you."
"I still don't like him." John huffs.
"Noted." Arthur rubs his face and cracks his back. "Did I over sleep? I apologize for keeping you waiting."
"N-no." Oscar smiles. "Noel asked me last night to come earlier than planned." He pauses.
"Oscsr is staring at you. His eyes are looking over your bare chest, seemingly tracing his gaze over your scars." John tisks. "I don't understand why he looks upset. He is missing his arm."
"Let me get dressed, and we can continue this elsewhere." Arthur sighs. "We've both been through a lot, Oscar. Although I can not see it, we both hold our scars."
"R-right, yes, of course. Are you up for the diner just down the road?" Oscar's voice gets distant as he moves to hold the door.
"Yes!" John basically shouts in Arthur's head. "Food Arthur to fix this feeling I don't enjoy."
Arthur smiles softly. "That sounds great. Thank you, Oscar."
Oscar nodded and shut the door.
......
"How are you doing?" Arthur pulled his coat against him as the wind blew past them.
"I feel the chill." John grumbles the fact.
Oscar smiles softly. "I thought I would struggle more with the missing arm. However, I am filled with a new sense of purpose, and it's a reminder of a new start."
Arthur followed closely behind Oscar as they entered the quiet chatter of the diner. "I still apologize for causing it."
"Oh, the Lord put me in your path for a reason, and if it only cost me an arm, then I am thankful." Oscar sounded cheerful even against everything.
Arthur couldn't dwell on that fact as the smell of food hit him, and he realized how hungry he actually was. It wasn't a wonder why John was getting annoyed at the feeling it was nearing painful. Which is odd he hasn't been skipping meals, and things have calmed down since Kayne stepped in. He feels ravenous in such a way as he was a teen again trying to grab whatever scraps he could find to make the growing hunger fade.
"Arthur?" Oscar used his remaining arm to gently tug the other man to a chair. "Arthur, are you alright?"
Arthur rubbed his face and sighed. "I'm fine. I'm fine. I just didn't realize how hungry I actually am this morning." He could feel John grab his right hand, and he gave a heavy sigh. "I understand why John was annoyed this morning."
"He can feel when you're hungry?" Oscar pauses. "I mean, if it's not too much trouble to ask about the both of ya."
John remains silent as if he was pouting that Oscar knew about him and wanted to talk.
"Well, that's a new development, we really had a time to truly settle and take inventory of who controls what or what we share." Arthur rubs John's hand with his thumb. "He's starting to feel things I can as if we share and not take from each other. It's odd that I still can't feel my left hand and arm, but we now share certain other feelings, physical feelings."
"Oscar doesn't need to know any of this." John huffs grumpily as the waitress takes their order.
"John, how do you feel about this?" Oscar had a soft smile on his face and had a cheerier demeanor than expected of a man who has faced horrors and didn't come out unscathed.
John huffs.
Arthur rolls his eyes. "He's annoyed."
John grumbles. "I like talking to Noel better."
Oscar hums. "I can imagine, a being like him now faced with our kind of troubles. I hope I can help you both with any new obstacles."
"That is very kind of you Oscar." Arthur smiles.
"He's smiling too much." John huffs, and even his voice gave away that he was slightly grateful Oscar knew about him.
The food was gone as quickly as it came. Arthur didn't feel entirely full, but it was enough to stop that ache. He was glad he was blind he couldn't see the gazes of the people watching him eat as if he was starved. He sighs and taps his fingers against the table.
"Are you sure you both are alright?" Oscar sounded concerned.
"Was just hungry." Arthur mumbles into the quiet hum of the diner."
"Arthur, Oscar doesn't look convinced. He seems concerned." John didn't sound hostile, just stating a fact.
Arthur sighs. "I may be perhaps a bit tired, but that's probably from the large meal."
"Liar." John huffs. "Oscar is paying for our meal and his, he's offering a hand to us."
"Well, we can head to the church and discuss things there." Oscar smiles as Arthur takes his hand.
"I would suppose that would be fine. However, why there?" Arthur raised his brow.
"Ah, well, it's a nice church, and well always have work to do." Oscar was lying it was painfully obvious.
"Oscar." Arthur pulls his hand away but follows him with John's direction.
"I have a couch in my office, and I think that would be great for you to rest on as we talk." Oscar rushes out. "Friend, you've been through so much. Surely a bit more rest can't hurt."
Arthur rolls his eyes. "We are fine."
"You're lying now, Arthur. I can feel a weakness spreading in our body."
"My body." Arthur hisses.
"Fine your body, but it's true." John huffs. "You insist on spending time with Oscar, why not-"
"Fine.... Fine." Arthur sighs. "Oscar, what do you want to discuss when we arrive."
"Oh right, I wanted to discuss how I can help you, John and Noel, out. I've memorized that bestiary of yours so it can come in handy." Oscar sounds genuinely excited to be a part of the mess he's been dragged in.
"He's way too happy and kind. I don't trust him." John growls.
"We don't want you to get hurt again." Arthur knew that argument died on his tongue as he felt a hand grab him.
"We can save people Arthur. I can help people with this stop monsters and such. We all can, and I've already made up my mind up." Oscar nods. "Don't you agree, John?"
"It's your fragile morality." John sounded slightly annoyed and maybe a bit upset.
"I can't stop you." Arthur pulls his coat around him again as a strong gust blows past them.
"Good, and may the Lord bless us on our mission." Oscar hums softly tugging Arthur along.
......
John groans, Arthur falls asleep almost as soon as he lays on the couch, and he can't do anything but watch Oscar at his desk. He could feel Arthur's back it was incredibly sore, but besides that, nothing else was new. Actually Oscar was talking and he wasn't listening... wait, he was talking to him?
"... Noel actually told me about you, John. Then I saw you pushing Arthur out of bed of all things... er pulling." Oscar chuckles. "Noel vouched for you, and I forgive you for misguided Arthur when it came to my arm. I apologize for any trouble I caused you two."
Guilt was a new feeling John hated. "You shouldn't forgive me."
"Ah, right. I'm sorry I can't hear you." Oscar pauses, messing with the cross around his neck. "I just wanted to talk to you and tell you I'm not upset. You saved my life. Both of you did. I understand why you just left me at the hospital trying to protect me, but I'm my own man, and I want to help with anything in the future. Just because I have now one arm doesn't mean I can't help. Noel agreed that I could help... well with research and with the people, which is still something. I hope you both will accept me and be glad to call me a friend."
John hums softly. "I've misjudged you, and for that, I apologize even if you can't hear me." Arthur would say he sounds genuine. He stops as a feeling fills him like a limb. It was wet and odd. He could slowly move it, but it was small and still growing, he thinks. That was weird.
Arthur groans and curls to his side.
"Oh, mercy!" Oscar shouts, seeing a bloodstain grow on Arthur's back. "J-john?"
John didn't trust that tone, and a shadow rose from Arthur's feet. A low dark voice comes from the yellow tendril like cloak around a black ethereal being. "Oscar, you will wake him."
Oscar points at Arthur's back. "Did you guys get hurt? I can get bandages."
John finally notices and looms over Arthur. "The wound on his back is a scar. He... he... oh..." He hovers to Oscar. "This is wrong."
Arthur furrowed his brows, but his breathing was slow and calm. He looked uncomfortable but not enough to wake up from his deep sleep.
Oscar nods. "What do you need me to do?"
"I-i don't know." John sounded lost. "Help him, just help him please."
Oscar nods, rushing out of the room to get fresh water and fresh bandages.
.......
Oscar cut off Arthur's ruined shirt and opened it to wash the blood from his back, surprised the man hadn't woken up but grateful for that all the same. He knew John was hovering above them his worry was evident, but he was quiet as he washed the last of the blood off, and then they both gasped.
Arthur's back in random places like a splattering of freckles grew tendrils most yellow, but others black painted like the night sky that seemed to have a swaying pattern of stars as they move. They were tiny wriggling things that seemed almost curious as Oscar used his wooden arm he rarely ever used to touch one that gently wraps around a wooden finger, but that awe turns to horror as the tendril seems to snap the finger off and chew on the wooden finger till it was consumed entirely as if to reflect that Arthur was also hungry.
"Oh lord in heaven." Oscar pulls away the wooden arm. "This thing is finally useful." He takes a breath as Arthur stirs slightly, shivering from the cold from his back being exposed. He places a blanket over him, which seems to please Arthur no longer looking uncomfortable or in pain.
John was quiet for a moment before he spoke. "I believe those are mine." He tilts his mask covered head. "I can feel them, and I don't think they meant to damage your wooden arm. I believe they are even as small as they are looking to feed Arthur to feed us. I don't understand how this has happened."
Oscar had mixed emotions swirling on his features before he settled on calm. "That explains the hunger. I believe I can get some soup from the kitchen." He also may be curious enough that he wants to watch them eat. "I don't think wood is a good diet."
"So you would have my er our tendrils eat as not to wake Arthur?" John seems to pause mulling over that idea. "Humans get tired after growth, right?" He watches Oscar nod. "Then yes, that is a good plan. Our body needs rest and fuel if we can manage both at once, and then that would be best."
Oscar nods again and smiles. "I shall get what I can carry."
.....
Arthur woke up to a sore back, unable to move, which he could gather meant John was projecting himself. He doesn't blame him, but that also meant he was hopefully discussing peacefully with Oscar. He huffs alerting to the others he was awake.
"Arthur!" John shouts, and Arthur can feel ghosts of touches along his skin.
A soft ah, then the sound of something being placed down is heard before shuffling getting closer. "Arthur, are you alright?"
Arthur groans as the ghostly grip rolls him over and sits him up. "John, I would much rather move myself."
"Arthur... are you alright?" John repeats Oscar question he hesitates before he speaks again. "You fell asleep quite fast."
Arthur raised a brow and let out a startled yelp as his body leaned back and something new brushed against his skin or was that something else. "Jesus what the fuck was that."
"Ah well, we've figured out John seems to be manifesting on your body." Oscar sounded like a forced calm like he was trying to keep Arthur from panicking. "There appears to be tendril like appendages growing from your back, mostly yellow in color, but the few black ones remind me of the night sky."
Arthur regained his bodily movement, and he knew John went back inside as he reached back, and his hand grazed the smooth, soft..furry? Tendrils. It was a foreign feeling almost familiar to touching his own arm, but they seemed to move unnaturally twisting and reaching out to grip his own hand. It didn't hurt. It just felt strange. He took a breath, not removing his hand. "Did i... uh, did I hurt you?"
"No... no... you broke the wooden hand, but eh, I never liked it. We only noticed because you were bleeding. It has stopped, but they don't seem to be finished growing." Oscar watches Arthur place his hand back in his lap. "They can eat when you are unconscious, but I don't believe they can differentiate between food and objects they can grip. However, John was trying to teach them, but i don't think that's how it works."
"My methods were perfectly sound." John huffs. "You have control over them, Arthur. I do not. Which is unfair they are obviously from myself. I was merely talking to them to coax them to not eat the bowl after they finished the soup Oscar gave them."
"O-oh!" Oscar watched amazed as the tendrils seem to be sucked back in looking like odd freckles all around Arthur's back. "How did you do that?"
Arthur shudders. "That was an odd sensation." He rubs his face. "It seems as if you're correct. I do have control over them." He pulls himself off the couch and stands slightly off balance. "It feels as if my weight has changed like I'm wearing a bag on my back."
"We've grown new limbs on your back, so that would be expected." John hums. "Are you alright?"
Arthur huffs. "Am I ok with the fact you're changing me without my permission? No, John, I'm not. I will, however, live through this and move past it."
John growls. "How the fuck was I suppose to know this would happen? After Larson and yellow, how was I supposed to know I could physically alter your body. Larson wasn't different."
Arthur sighs. "Stop just stop, John. Arguing won't change this." He pinches his brow. "Tell me before the next one emerges."
"Yes."
Oscar clears his throat. "Are you in pain?"
"Pain?" Arthur furrows his brows, taking a mental catalog of his body. "No? No, I actually feel better than I had in months."
"Small mercies then." Oscar smiles.
Arthur smiles softly. "Small mercies."
.....
Oscar was pouring tea while Noel was helping Arthur put on fresh bandages after their latest adventure. "Would you like any sugar?" He softly batted away Arthur's tendrils. "This isn't for you."
Arthur raised his brow. "They don't have ears Oscar you don't have to talk to them."
"They listen to Oscar, but not me." John huffs slightly sulking.
Arthur has a small smile on his lips. "Black is fine for me, Oscar."
"Milk and sugar, please." Noel hums. "You've gotten quite handy with just one arm."
Oscar chuckles. "Oh, I do my best." He pauses and smiles. "I don't need your help, little creatures." He places a mug down close to Arthur than to Noel, then pats a few of the tendrils. "They do have little minds of their own."
"Curious things like children." Arthur grabs his cup and takes a small sip and sighs. "John has been no help with them and how to make them more adjusted to myself."
"They are supposed to be mine." John growls. "They should not be so calm and friendly."
Arthur quirks his smile wider. "He's still upset. They seem to like you, Oscar."
"I am not!"
Noel chuckles. "From the way your shadow flickered, you've hit a nerve, Arthur. John, you should be grateful. Since Oscar has joined us, Arthur hasn't been getting hurt as often."
John huffs.
Arthur chuckles softly. "John is still getting used to being heard by others, it seems." He places his mug down. "You can defend yourself now."
John huffs again. "I have no reason to. I am perfectly capable of keeping you alive and safe myself. It's been you causing us trouble."
"Whatever you say, John." Arthur leans back in his chair.
Oscar smiles and pours himself a mug and takes some small sips. He gives a small sigh. "Arthur, they are trying to undo the knot on my right sleeve again."
Noel smirks, watching Arthur grab them and pull them back, thankfully this time not tearing his shirt. "Wiley things."
Oscar fixes the knot the best he can and hums softly. "I say they are merely curious. I can't fault them for wanting to learn."
"They are troublesome." Arthur huffs.
"They merely want to familiarize themselves with Oscar." John pauses and makes a disgusted noise. "I do not approve of that reason."
Arthur raised a brow. "John, what do you mean by that? Can you actually talk to them?" He stiffens like a statue as his shadow materializes behind him to form an ethereal form of John.
John leans over and is close to Oscar. "They have emotions, Arthur. I can sort through them as I please."
"Juat not control them." Arthur retorts.
John huffs. "They like Oscar and I cannot fathom why."
"Thank you?" Oscar sounded unsure.
"I was not complimenting you!" John crosses his arms.
Arthur laughs softly.
Noel snickers to himself.
John huffs and sinks back into Arthur.
......
"So?" Arthur stood in the bathroom in front if a mirror.
"Your face remains the same." John raised his hand with Arthur's help to move his growing hair out of his forehead and feel along his scalp. "There seems to be buds of horns along your hairline evenly spread out, and I can feel them through your hair. There seem to be two larger ones on the top of your forehead growing differently than the buds. If my assumption is correct, you are growing my horns and crown."
Arthur groans. "Why couldn't it be a normal migraine? Of course, the tendrils aren't enough." He huffs.
"Arthur, keep your anger out of this!" John hissed back.
"Why? You've permanently changed my body that separation won't even be possible it probably would just kill me. Don't tell me to fucking calm down! Because of you, I'm los-" Arthur clicks his mouth shut, feeling a nee weight on his head and a warm liquid drip down his cheeks and neck. He catiously reaches out to feel a crown of thorns made of bone, then slowly moves to the pair of horns. His breath caught in his throat stealing his voice.
"Your blood remains red as it drips down your face. Your eyes glow softly as you've shattered the light above us." John seemed to pause as Arthur grips the edge of the counter. "Someone is coming."
Arthur doesn't move even as the door opens, spilling light into the room. One arm grabs him, and he can't move.
A wet cloth is cleaning the blood on his face slowly and carefully. "Arthur?"
"It's Oscar he's been cleaning the blood off of us as he laid us down in his lap. He's been praying over us since he started. It's been 20 minutes Arthur please say something." John pleaded.
"I know you can't see what has happened, and I'm sure John has already described what you look like now, but..." Oscar dries off Arthur's face and hair the best he could. "I don't think you're a monster. You are still my friend."
Arthur pushed himself up, and before either man realized their lips were locked together.
......
"Don't... don't touch that, John." Oscar voice was soft. He was naked under the covers, completely relaxed.
"How did you know that was John reaching out?" Arthur's voice was full of relaxion as he lazily sat up to trace fingers on Oscar's cheat.
"His hand is sharper than yours, and it's your left hand." Oscar hums, staring up at Arthur. "Just don't touch the cross, please."
"Why are you protective of a metal cross?" John was curious.
"John wanted to know why you are protective of your cross if that's not too much to ask." Arthur hums softly he can feel his tendrils curl around Oscar's stump of what is left of his right arm.
Oscar hums back. "We've already been personal. I've had it as long as I can recall. I know better than to remove it." He sighs and sits up as well. "Are you fine with this? If you never wish to do this again, I would understand."
"No! Arthur, why did he ask that?" John sounded alarm at the idea that this would never happen again.
"Frankly, Oscar, I'm already a monster. I don't think ideal social norms apply to myself anymore after the horrors I've faced." Arthur raised his brow. "Why are you not conflicted?"
"I've seen too many men and women ashamed of this, to throw out what they are due to the assumption it's wrong or dirty. There are too many last confessions of begging for forgiveness before they end up with the Lord." Oscar stares down at his cross. "I wouldn't consider myself a good priest, but I want to do my best to help others from the lowest. The bedroom is a sanctuary no matter who you lay with, and I am not a man to judge."
"I have absolutely no idea what he is talking about." John just sounded lost now.
Arthur smiles softly. "I think you are one of the better priests I've ever met." He leans forward to kiss Oscar's cheek. "And that's not because we've shared a bed now." He pauses. "I wouldn't mind if this continues."
"Neither would I." Oscar hums softly. "Although is John opposed? I would like the consent from both of you."
"Yes, Arthur! Sex is fun!" John shouts eagerly.
Arthur snickers. "John is enthusiastic about this."
"I am glad." Oscar smiles wider. "The crown suits you, suits both of you."
"Of course it is my crown." John huffs.
"Thank you for making me feel human." Arthur cups Oscar's cheek.
"I can say the same about you." Oscar smiles, getting out of bed, not elaborating. "I shall run a bath for you."
Arthur waits till the door shuts. "What did he mean by that?"
"He is human." John states as a fact.
"Right, but he said that." Arthur shakes his head. "I'm over thinking this."
"I can agree with that."
"Of course you would."
.......
It was raining when they buried him. Daniel was in his 80s, which was impressive in itself but still bittersweet as the coffin was put in the ground. He was still as sharp as he was in his youth, even in the end.
"The rain has hidden the mourners' faces around you, Oscar is giving the final rites. It's a beautiful service even with the rain. Noel is to your left and has not left your side. He has a blank stone cold expression on his face." John sighs. "I'm sorry, Arthur."
Arthur swallows. "Humans don't live forever, John."
"You haven't changed in 30 years." John says quietly.
"We have John." Arthur rubs his eyes.
"I suppose we have." John pauses. "Oscar has finished and is walking towards us."
Arthur turns his head in the direction of the sound. "Thank you."
Oscar hums softly. "Of course, Daniel was a good man it's the least I could do."
Arthur reached out and grabbed Oscar's arm. "Thank you, Oscar. Thank you for everything."
Oscar swallows. "Arthur?"
"We're going to outlive you. We... we haven't aged." Arthur sounded pained as he admitted what he was trying to deny.
Noel reached out and patted Arthur's back. "So? That just means you'll be the one to bury us, and I wouldn't have it any other way."
Arthur was crying now.
Oscar smiles softly. "I am going to be with you till the end. You are my purpose, and I mean that honestly with my whole heart."
Arthur only cried harder, and he pulled Oscar into a tight hug.
John's voice was quiet. "I will be by your side Arthur no matter what, we will not be separated."
.......
"Arthur." John's voice startled Arthur, for he has been quiet for a bit.
"John." Arthur sighs, putting his paper down. The city was alive with activity, new technologies, and advancements only added to the noises outside.
"Oscar is very fit for his age." John sounded slightly confused but hopeful. "His hair hasn't grayed."
Arthur hums, sipping his tea. "What are you asking?"
John pauses for a moment, mulling his thoughts. "Noel has lost his hair and grown weak from his age. He is not much older than Oscar. Why hasn't Oscar changed? Why does he stay the same?"
Arthur places his mug down and furrows his brows. "Medicine has advanced, but your points do make sense. Oscar is getting close to his 70s he should have gray hair at least... do you think the thing that made us cut his arm off stunted his aging?"
"No." John answered was too fast for Arthur to assume that was a lie. "That creature was cut off, and Oscar had no lingering effects."
"John, what are you suggesting?" Arthur pursed his lips to a frown. "That Oscar has been replaced? We know why Dennis hasn't aged, Kayne won't allow that. Did we.. did we do that to Oscar?"
"I don't have that power on this plane. In the Dream world, yes, here we would have to focus and be able to control my powers in order to do that. It would be noticeable, which is what I'm getting at. I still can't manifest without paralyzing you." John sighs. "Our first time with Oscar, he said that we made him feel human."
Arthur taps his fingers against the table, his frown even deeper. "Are you suggesting he's one of the elder gods?"
"No, I would be able to feel that... we would be able to feel that." John gave a frustrated huff. "He doesn't want to hurt us. Oscar cares for us. I don't... I don't want him to leave us. I don't want him to die, Arthur. But I don't understand why he hasn't changed."
Arthur sighs. "Now, let's not jump to conclusions. We can ask him. We've been together a long time, we know when he lies."
"He is a terrible liar."
"He is." Arthur smiles softly. "Couldn't even surprise us for our anniversary." He shakes his head. "If he isn't human, which again is a big if, but if he isn't human, would it change this?"
"I don't know." John huffs. "It won't. I won't let it."
"Neither will I." Arthur hums softly. "He has helped me with my loss of humanity. We can help him with whatever he is."
......
Oscar was sweeping the halls of the church humming an old tune. He stopped when he heard footsteps approach. He turned to face the man approaching. "Ah, Arthur, I was going to be home soon. What brings you out here?" He never did use a prosthetic arm to replace his missing one. He claimed they never fit right.
"We wanted to talk." Arthur did his best to sound nonconfrontional.
Oscar raised his brow. "Talk? What is on your mind? Oh, good heavens, is there a new case? Did Kayne visit again? Did Dennis come by?"
"No, nothing like that." Arthur sighs, getting closer. "John and I were talking about us, about the future."
Oscar frowns and swallows he tried not to sound upset. "Yes?" He expected the worse.
"Oscar looks upset. Get to the point I do not wish to hurt him!" John growled.
"Yes, yes... Oscar, you haven't changed.... physically uh physically you haven't changed, I mean." Arthur crosses his arms. "John brought it up, and now we're worried. We don't want to lose you, but please be honest with us."
"His face has changed to a pensive look as if he is weighing his options. Arthur, he seems very conflicted."
Oscar let out a breath he clutched the cross he always wore and never seemed to take off in his hand. The cross was unnaturally discolored, seemingly burned in odd places. He shut his eyes and let go reveling burns on his palm in the shape of the cross he gripped. "As I've told you before, this was placed on me as I was left on the doors of the church along with a note I've never read. It is slowly being greater away, I guess, and I've been trying to find another to replace it, but none has been able to help." The burns heal as fast as they appear on his palm. "I can never be a good priest for the sole reason that I am not human, for the reason I was born a demon."
"A demon?" Arthur raised his brow.
"Do demons exist?" John sounded confused, but he explained the proof, and he could not argue with what he witnessed.
"Y-yes." Oscar looked nervous, afraid even. "I thought if I decated myself to the church to my faith, I could make it stop. Undo what I was born as, maybe even find salvation. I broke my vow of celibacy... I don't regret it, to be honest. I love you, Arthur and John. And I thought love just makes me more human, right? Yet I don't understand why my power grows, my cross only gets weaker and weaker, and I'm terrified one day I'll hurt you." He wipes the tears welling in his eyes. "Arthur, John, I love you, and I understand if you no longer can continue to love m-"
Arthur cuts Oscar off, pulling him into a long, heavy kiss, leaving them both gasping for air. He pulls away and smiles. "You are still Oscar, and I'm still me no matter the color of my blood or what parts I get. Why would you be any different?"
"Oscar is crying. Arthur, you made him upset!"
Oscar hugs Arthur the best he could with one arm. "You are a good man, Arthur Lester."
"A good man? Then you must be the best." Arthur hums.
"Oscar's face has grown red, and he is trying to cover it with his left arm. You did it, Arthur!"
.......
Ethereal hands reach out and grab the heavy metal cross.
"John, please don't touch it." Oscar sighs.
"You will remove it. You told us you would. I do not like seeing you in pain." John didn't let go of the cross.
"It's a pain I've carried my entire life, I said I would remove it if it got worse." Oscar swallows as he feels the tug from John.
"John's right." Arthur sighs from the couch. "I can hear that it's gotten worse."
Oscar frowns. "I am able to handle this." He gasps as John rips it from his neck it met no resistance as he pulled it away. "John!" The effect was almost immediate. He never knew a life without pain, and that familair feeling was gone completely. Ever so brief, the pain was replaced with pressure, and he didn't understand.
"Oscar?" Arthur's voice seemed so far away.
Oscar swayed as he reached up to feel his nose bleeding, and he noticed that before he hit the ground, he used his right hand.
.......
"He's not breathing Arthur. His chest stopped moving. I killed him. I killed Oscar, Arthur. I killed him, and I didn't mean to. I didn't want to... I just wanted him to stop being in pain. There's blood where the wings erupt from his lower back and his tail, even his horns piercing the skin left blood on his face. I'm a monster." John sounded panicked.
Oscar screwed his eyes shut.
"John, he can't be dead." Arthur sounded hopeless.
Oscar let out a groan, alerting both men to his presence. The pain was nothing more than a sore ache that he knew would fade. He sat up, and he could feel his wings slide back into his back, and he shuddered. He rubbed his eyes and froze because he had two hands.
"Your arm grew back!" John shouts.
Oscar opened his eyes and stared at his two hands, his nails were sharper and looked to be painted black, but they still looked human. He flexed them and knew he could change it, but he didn't want to test it. He swallows and stares up at Arthur. "Are you ok?"
Arthur tackled him back to laying down as he laughed. "I am now."
Oscar smiles. "Then I suppose I am as well."

OKAY ONTO EP39
ITS NOEL TIME BABY. I may miss Oscar but at least the OTHER boyfriend is still around. The episode being titled The Detective has me hopeful I'll get to learn Noel backstory.
"Keep him at arms length, for my sake" JOHN LET ARTHUR HAVE A BOYFRIEND, HE STILL LOVES YOU REGARDLESS.
oh my god holy shit what. why did Arthur just tell him about John so matter of factly out of nowhere. (why am I suspicious of Noel suddenly.... this is reminding me of TMA with the whole forcibly compelling people to tell their stories thing. is that a reach?)
OHHHH MY GOD
WAIITTTT
DID HE TELL NOEL BECAUSE HE DIDNT WANT JOHN TO BE LEFT OUT?
NOEL IS TALKING TO JOHN DIRECTLY WAIT IM GOING TO CRY. WAIT.
wait i cant do this oh my god. Noel. Noel pleaseee dont be evil ever NOEL PLEASE YOU NEED TO BE GOOD. YOU NEED TO BE GOOD. JOHN AND ARTHUR NEED THIS PLEASE.
raises hand meekly. so, I cried actual tears over Noel talking to John directly
THIS CONVERSATION IN THE ELEVATOR IS SOOOO FUNNYYYYYYY. JOHN REALLY SAID "YOU WEAK AS HELL WITHOUT ME". ARTHURS SO BAFFLED IM CRYINGGGG.
Arthur threatening people. Thumbs up. Thats all im gonna say.
John. Forgetting Noel. WHAT is going on with JOHNNN. YOU CAN'T FORGET NOEL HE WAS SO NICE TO YOUUUU.
I am actually speechless getting Noel's backstory. Oh my god. I need to sit with all of this what an episode.

I have exciting news and i have no better place to share it.
So i had a hoodie back when I was in my last year of highschool, I remember exactly where i got it and the exact month and year. It was a Christmas one. I loved it but it either got Iost when I moved cities or fell victim to one of my cats having an accident at the time. Anyways I had a dream about it recently, and I could never find it in trying to search a description bc Christmas and flannel are two words that bring up just about everything no matter how many other words like reindeer in green glasses you add to narrow the search down. And so i started wondering. I would've posted something like that somewhere to share with friends wouldn't I?
And so I found a piece of it in the bg of a photo from an app I remember being more active on at the time. I plug it into reverse image search and find a similar hoodie that's not the exact one but it has what i think is a brand name and same stitching and material. And I'm already this far along so I plug the name of that hoodie into Google and start deleting anything that doesn't appear to be the name of it and as luck would have it I FIND IT. I really like animals so of course, the thing I remembered flawlessy was a reindeer with green glasses being part of the pattern on it. And it was in my size!!! Anyways it arrived the other day and Im still ecstatic bc i had been thinking abt that hoodie every winter for the last 7 years and happened to find one listing for it that was in my size. All bc i had a dream about it and it made me miss it enough to go looking again. Um...rate my detective skills I guess? -🐆
“WOW, Darling that is absolutely amazing! Arthur and I are very impressed by that! Enjoy your sweater, you earned it!” -Noel

Bunny, do you feel like the fandom is less fun/enjoyable nowadays? I also asked this to Nyrocel. I believe you're more into using detective skills to join the dots (and I love the work you do) but I believe my happiest time here was idk searching to see what Cam would wear on a con. Reading the stories of fans who met him. I've mentioned before here that maybe it's due to him exploring new career paths (theatre, photography, etc) but idk. Maybe I just wasn't as much a fan of him rather than him playing Ian Gallagher. It's a bit bittersweet and I see my time being a fan of him ending with the NYCON and his last for now interaction with Noel (which might be good for me actually). And then just back to the Shameless fandom until Noel has more appearances (I'd love a con of only him but idk if it will happen). The whole Madison thing was a headache that I did not see incoming when I started to follow him lol My question would be (for me): now what? Lol I have gotten very used to this. Change is scary. Sending you hugs, I always enjoy reading you.
Sending you hugs too. Thank you.
When I think of fandom, I think of the whole thing which includes the show being on the air, spoilers of the episodes being discussed, post-show analysis on tumblr, fics written immediately after as gap fillers, outcries on twitter, bts content from the cast, interviews with the cast, all happening at once and all coming at us every season.
I didn’t get involved in any of it until season 10 was halfway complete, so I missed out on a lot even though I watched the show as it aired from the beginning. So, from my perspective, the glory days were probably happening well before my time. But, I very much enjoyed whatever I was involved in back in 2020/2021, even though Covid put a huge damper on things.
As for tea, because I think that might be what you’re asking, I was probably having the most fun in 2022. Noel was filming his tv show for a few months and I had been following the production really closely. I was finding new content daily. Cam was promoting a few projects at the time and was out a lot too. His love life was a mess (what else is new) so the speculations and weird sightings were interesting to try and decipher.
I didn’t have a blog going until late last year, so my discussions until then were all private. I like talking to more people about my thoughts which I guess makes this current era of tea a good one for me as well.

No one asked but here's some trivia about those misfits:
Soleil and Lune have no official family names/surnames, but they do have families/relatives.
Soleil’s family is rich, but he doesn’t like to shot it down everyone’s throats (he would rather prefer to not be associated with his family – OG reason is they’re shitty; the Young Prince Detective version is that they’re a bunch of airheads);
Lune’s family is not that big, but she’s an only child with at least three cousins (she’s the baby cousin)
Étoile’s name being Noel is a reference to a LupPat character, Takao Noel.
The Space Trio has French space names BECAUSE I was in love with Cure Étoile and Cure Soleil’s names. In-universe they just grabbed it from google.
The trio are counterparts of the 02 kids in YPD. Soleil rivals with the boys’ traits, Lune with the girls. Étoile is an odd case in which he might be just a “Bridge” connecting both sides.
If you call Soleil by “Octo-head” he might snap and it won’t be good :V
Lune hates resorting to violence, but her only “violent” method to intimidate others is just giving them a deadly deep stare into your soul with the ire of 10 gods.
Their DigiTimeLines versions are actually 15 (Soleil), 14 (Lune) and 10 (Étoile) year olds. The YPD version has them as 17 (Soleil & Lune) and 16 (Étoile) year olds instead.
In DigiTimeLines, Étoile’s digimon partner is a purple Pokomon/Viximon named Renard. In the YPD version he’s acquainted with Miss Espimon.
Ah… I must say… Since some stuff came later while i watched Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne with a friend… Noel’s hair showing his eyes when he’s doing a 180º personality flip is based on Minazuki Yamato :V
That said, Noel is based on Beyblade’s Kenny. Soleil and Lune are based on Kamen Rider Fourze’s characters (Ryuusei and Nadeshiko).
Soleil likes action movies/TV shows with cool fights (possibly Shounen anime genre); Lune likes mystery and drama (possibly because she’s very psychic and emotional); Étoile is… fascinated with everything though. But he likes Mystery shows with magic and romance involved.
Noel’s surname being Leblanc was a recent “change”, because he was like Soleil and Lune, without one in mind. Also this is a plot point. That said, I still refer to him as either Noel and Étoile only.

The Avengers: Dance with Death
This blog post is about a first series episode of The Avengers which no longer exists. It has been recorded as audio by Big Finish but this post is based on the original script here: https://www.dissolute.com.au/the-avengers-tv-series/series-1/112-dance-with-death.html where there is also an episode synopsis.
Back to April 15th, 1961, when this episode was first broadcast. It feels like it's a long time ago in all sorts of ways - the episode refers to old money and old phone numbers which are long gone, and of course is from the early days of the show before it became the wild thing it did towards the end of the decade. I think you could probably also say that the plot reaches back in time even before the 1960s in some ways - it is essentially a straightforward detective story about a murderer who is working his way through the staff of a dancing academy. On the face of it this is therefore a rather pedestrian story.
Except it isn't. How it isn't. I hadn't read this one before and I loved it as soon as I started reading.
The original blurb in the TV Times summarised it as 'A corpse in a bath and Keel and Steed go ballroom dancing in an attempt to save the next victim'. Apart from the suggestion that Keel and Steed were dancing with each other (they weren't), if you replace the name Keel with the name Peel, this immediately sounds exactly like a later episode and you would just know some crazy stuff would be going on. This summary was actually the first thing that attracted my attention to this episode, because it makes it sound so much like Quick, Quick, Slow Death from series 4: 'A corpse in a pram and Peel and Steed go ballroom dancing in an attempt to save the next victim', type thing.
Of course being an early episode it's not quite as wild as the later ones, but we do have all the hallmarks. One of the striking things is how Steed really doesn't treat Keel very well, which is indeed how he treats all his opposites in the early shows. He is particularly delighted after Keel loses his scarf at the dance school and as a result is one of the suspects for murder. He treats it as if it's hilarious. Let me tell you that in those scenes if the dialogue was much more brittle it would be by EF Benson or Noel Coward, and in fact they do feel very much like Mapp and Lucia sparking off against each other. This dialogue is an aspect of the show which I hadn't even thought of before.
Elsewhere Steed is recognisably the Steed we know and love, joking away as he pretends to sign on to learn to dance at the school. There is also a magnificent scene where he bores holes through a bathroom door to see if the woman inside is ok, with the porter protesting all the time and obviously thinking he was spying on her. As I suppose in one way he was.
In the trivia on the Dissolute site linked above there is the magnificent detail that Steed comments on how Keel's surgery has been redecorated, and this was actually because they'd had a new set to go with the new ABC franchise - a detail which would be completely missed by the people who'd never seen the show before!
This is not a criticism because this show is a delight from start to finish but it can be slightly difficult to follow both the original script and the synopsis purely because the plot is obviously intended to set up different suspects for who the murderer is, and of course we are not seeing the characters. I haven't heard the Big Finish reconstruction.
An excellent first series Avengers, with some hints as to what was going to come later in the show.

OH MYGOD OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY. OKAY . HOLD ON YES I CAN HELP WITH THIS
The most important thing to know about faroeverse is the fact that it tackles the narrative topic of fridging, specifically the fridging of female characters. Faroe's story is about surviving in a world that, metatextuality, did not want her to survive.
FIRSTLY: follow @saturnniines on twitter and tumblr! i believe moth is more active on twitter and is kind of The faroeverse guy. also the writer of the fics i'm about to send you!
SECONDLY: a collection of some of the faroeverse works! there's another one out there but i don't remember who wrote it which is sad because it's really good it takes place in the dreamlands :((
fic one, "godhood and girlhood," separates faroe's kiy fragment, jane, as her own person through her explorations of gender.
fic two, "fresh static snow," is this au's version of the yellow arc and it's actually so much sadder imo because it swaps fv!jane and canon!john. faroe gets her dead dad's fragment, arthur gets his dead daughter's fragment. very sad. there's a comic i made for it linked at the bottom of
Some other AU world stuff beneath the cut that's not necessary to know but Is very fun:
Some important other characters:
-Jane Doe. A fragment of the King in Yellow who has chosen her own identity. She's a lot more reserved than John is, her fights with Faroe are ice-cold rather than loud and aggressive, and she has a tendency towards anxiety. She's an absolute sweetheart a lot of the time. She's a transfem lesbian and her relationship with Faroe is definitely romantic, both of these facts are important to the themes of the story.
-Parker Yang (also known as Uncle Park!) Her dad's best friend, and another father figure to her when she's little. Parker shows up far earlier in the story and helps raise Faroe after the bathtub incident. He loses custody of her when Arthur dies, but they reunite when Faroe is a teenager, having run away, and pick up the old family business (aka detective agency.) He later shows up again in the story after being presumed dead, and fills the narrative role of Detective Noel.
-Daniel Saltzman. He really sucks in this timeline, he projects his loss for Bella onto Faroe and has really high pressure and expectations of her to be a "perfect woman." The narrative with him focuses less on reconciliation and forgiveness and more on how your childhood doesn't need to shape you.
-Teddy Hart. The first entirely fanmade character! He's essentially what Bella is to canon Arthur, with the added caveat of the fact that they were in a very forced marriage (see: Daniel Saltzman). He dies when Faroe, fleeing in a panic, accidentally left the stove on. The house burned down with him inside of it. There are whispers that Faroe did it on purpose. She didn't. She misses him, even if she never loved him the way she was "supposed" to.
-Alexander. Remember that kid Oscar talked about in his backstory? This is him. He's in this.
-Addison "Addy" Larson. Wally couldn't do it in this world, he couldn't sacrifice her, so she got the chance to grow up and be just as vicious and power-hungry as him. When she learned of his plans for her when she was little, she decided to complete them--by sacrificing him instead.
-Jupiter. Kayne thought it would be really really funny if this timeline had a character like Yellow too, the other half of the king imprisoned in a mortal body. They skip Faroe and goes straight to Addy.
-Denise "The Butcher" Collins. Pretty much a genderbent regular Butcher except she has some other stuff going on. She's Faroe's butch awakening (no pun intended--Faroe gets the idea to disguise herself as a man in s4 because Denise does it first). Somehow also gayer than the canon Butcher.
And now for some fun facts!
-It takes place in the early 1950s; Faroe is 29. She has access to a lighter and an aerosol can. She uses this power well.
-Faroe plays the violin, not the piano!
-Jane's voice is exactly the same as John's, just with a different cadence and speaking pattern.
-Instead of Owlexander in season 5, Faroe and Jane get a skrungly black kitten they name Bowl. Faroe carries her around in her bag or hood. It's exactly as adorable as you're imagining.
Faroeverse?
Ok SO
I've arrived to the point when I want to get into the Faroeverse.
Tell me where to start and whom to follow pls!
Are there fics? I'm aware of the surrogate series only and that's not it is all I know 😅

what mobile games would the RTC kids like ! bc,,,, bc yea,
ok so yknow how in what the worlds needs in the proshot ocean sings "angry birds, candy crush, hes a real sweet kid but his brains are mush" for rickys part. that got me thinking abt what other mobile games she and the choir would play bc i love playing games on my phone so boom headcanon time
ok so ofc all the choir would have one of those apps that allows u to play with your friends, like gamepidgeon but i dont have an iphone so im saying plato + on plato u can play w 2+ ppl 👍
ocean- she claims to be better than ppl who get sucked into their phones and all that but plays like sudoku and those brain teaser games but rage quits when she can't figure it out and won't use hints bc she "doesn't want to cheat"
constance- she likes all those simulation games w the cute animals, yknow the ones. restaurant sims and house decorating games, just cute calming little games. probs also played a bit of episode, and definitely got into mystic messenger. she'd stay up late just so she wouldn't miss a chat. also likes adorable home and any of those games where u have like a pet to take care of. she makes sure to log on everyday so that her pets survive
noel- ok i had a bit of a hard w him but im feeling like,, creepy puzzle games? like those mystery games where u play as like a detective or smth along those lines. also mayb design games
mischa- projecting here but solitaire. not just normal solitaire but all the different versions too (is this bc i have uhm, 189 hours on Solitaire Grand Harvest alone, yea yea it is). also like, pool and games like that. likes action games and shooter games too yknow.
jane/penny- has all of the papas to go games (definitely paid for them all yup mhm /s). i feel like she'd like idv bc the aesthetic seems fitting for her but the creators n most players suck so like, if she didnt have to deal w all that she'd love it (i used to play and lemme say the chat was,,,,,,,) i like to imagine her n the rest of the choir playing n shes the hunter and just sneaks up on everyone and scares the shit outta them. also would probably download the games from weird ads for shits n giggles
ricky/savannah- so obviously she plays the classics like mentioned before yknow geometry dash, subway surfers, pokemon go, all those. but also rhythm game player, like it just makes sense. likes those cat merge games, or rly like, any cute cat sim. would probs like uh crk or smth that game was fun. also rpg fan

i think there should be an au of witch’s heart where instead of being a game it’s a show like my little pony or sofia the first or something where stupid shit happens, mistakes are made, they learn their lesson, and then claire writes to zizel at the end about it or something like in mlp where twilight is like “dear princess celestia...........blablabla” and zizel is like haha humans are so funny
here are my really good episode ideas if this ever happens:
- somehow through magic ashe and sirius switch bodies. they are really mad about it and they keep fighting each other but then they learn that maybe the other one isnt so bad after all and they become friends (maybe)
- i already did this one on my ask claire blog thing but one where noel and claire go on a date and every other character is spying on them all for different reasons and they all play pranks on noel and claire whether by accident or on purpose until its revealed at the end that everyone was there and noel and claire are like “come on guys really” and they all say sorry
- that one mlp episode where they all get cursed by that poison joke flower happens to all of the humans except wilardo because he already has a flower curse so he has to go find the cure while the other characters are just cursed around him
- the sleepover episode in mlp where applejack and rarity have a sleepover with twilight but theyre being passive aggressive to each other while twilight is unaware until they eventually are forced to work together when that tree falls through the window except with ashe sirius and claire
- claire goes dress shopping with all of the demons and they all yell and argue at each other and claire has to solve their fight because theyre all telling different stories about what happened.. investigation
- THERE SHOULD BE A CHRISTMAS EPISODE and noel gets to be the main character and theres a part where claire and sirius go shopping for a present for noel together and talk about how much they love him and they all throw him a surprise party and they are happy I JJST WANT THEM TO BE HPAPY PLEASE
- that one sofia the first episode where james breaks one of the castle rules and makes a crack in the window and then eventually makes it worse and shatters the window entirely while amber is distracting their parents but then sofia takes the blame for him and she misses the circus or whatever it was except its claire being stupid in the mansion while wilardo distracts sirius and noel takes the blame for her and ashe lectures them all in the end
- there should be one where its like a fancy ball or dance or something and they all get dressed up and have a good time but maybe something will go wrong.. maybe not who knows
- ashe makes a claire for cake, but they have to leave and then someone takes a bite and then ashe and claire have to become detectives and figure out who took a bite (ashe is the lead detective and claire is his assistant) using their amazing detective skills (in an unexpected plot twist it turns out to be wilardo when they suspected sirius the whole time)
- claire and sirius do an annual brother sister race held in their town or something and they ALMOST get first place but they are beaten and sirius is a sore loser and claire has to teach him to not be
- a hide and seek paintball gun game thing where claire is the spectator/narrator person who calls out whats happening and all of the men get paired with their demon counterpart. there is brutal murder and violence(/j). sirius and lime lose immediately because they keep yelling at each other which gives away their location. at the end its a close battle between wilardo/zizel and ashe/charlotte and ashe and charlotte end up winning. all of this happens while claire is shouting out everything
- zizel hears about weddings and thinks it is a funny human tradition. she asks claire about weddings and claire excitedly tells her all about wedding traditions and proceeds to investigate everyone else about weddings and makes a huge list of everything about weddings ever to zizel. zizel then proceeds to ask rouge to marry her and have a wedding including EVERY SINGLE THING that claire wrote on the list. it is extremely long and tedious and eventually everyone begs zizel to discontinue the wedding and just to leave for the honeymoon, and then she does. in this one zizel writes to claire like “my dearest claire..... weddings are so funny” or something and it is like a reverse episode
- that one mlp episode where pinkie pie clones herself a bunch of times and then twilight has to kill all of her clones until she finally finds the real pinkie pie except its claire accidentally cloning herself a bunch of times and sirius and noel must discover the real one since they know their childhood friend best and after they do they all hug each other and go get ice cream 😊
i cant think of anymore but if you have ideas please tell me because this is very fun to think about
#maybe i should write these#whnoc#claire elford#wh zizel#zizel wh#im only tagging those two because the other ones are only mentioned like in passing

We Are Santa (Drabble) (1 of 3)
[ LOCATION ] : THE PLEDGE DIMENSION; SANTA’S WORKSHOP, THE NORTH POLE
After suddenly being abducted from his home, Songwriter; Noel Royce awoke in a mysterious snowy tundra. This ended up being none other than the North Pole! After a bit of a misunderstanding, Noel met with Scott Calvin; the Santa Claus of this Dimension. The two spoke privately, but their conversation was interrupted by a shriek from within the Workshop. What was the cause of such a commotion, and who was the little toy man that infiltrated the Workshop?
“ AAAH- OOMPH!! “ A man dressed as Santa fell from out of nowhere. He landed onto a moving conveyor belt.
“ Ngh… “ Once he came to, his eyes widened. There were tons of terrified little elves surrounding him! “ AH! What in da lil’ house of h- “ Before he could finish, a mechanical hand came down and spun the detective around.
“ WOOOOAAH! GET ME OUTTA DIS TIIIIING!! “
Nearby, another man dressed in a Santa Suit came falling from the sky. But he was much larger than the other stranger. Luckily for him, he landed in a pile of stuffed animal stuffing.
“ AH!! “ Emerging from the fluff, he coughed a few times. “ Wh-What is this..? “ He tried to move, but sank further into the stuffing. Guess he wasn’t so lucky, after all. “ Oh no… “
The Elves witnessed these strangers literally appear out of thin air, and they were TERRIFIED. Immediately they stepped away from their stations and stared at the strangers in awe and terror. Luckily for them, Scott and Noel quickly arrived on the scene.
Once the two ran in the room, the Elves stepped out of their way.
“ What’s going on out h- “ Scott interrupted himself once he saw the two red-suited men. His eyebrows slowly raised.
“ More Santas… “ he mumbled to himself.
While Scott stared at the visitors in awe, Noel raced to Tohru’s aid.
“ Hey! Grab my hand! “ He held an arm out… but swiftly regretted doing so once Tohru grabbed hold of it. “ HRK- “ Noel’s eyes widened and his face turned red, but he clasped the large hand with both of his hands. Slowly, he helped Tohru out of the fluff.
“ Thank you. “ Tohru said with a small, unsure smile.
“ H-Hey… Don’t mention it. “ Noel replied before flopping to the floor to gasp for air.
Back with Harvey, the machine was still spinning him around! While he was being spun, another mechanical arm began wrapping him in festive wrapping paper! Scott finally snapped out of his awestruck state and ran to the machine. With the press of a button, the arms stopped and released Harvey from their clutches. The detective was seeing stars, but he still found room to shout.
“ ALRIGHT… SOMEONE BETTA START TALKIN- OOMPH!! “ He tried to move, but simply flopped forwards due to his whole lower body being covered in wrapping paper. “ AND GET ME OUTTA DIS!!! “
Scott turned to his Elves, who each gave confused looks back at him. He met them all with an awkward smile, followed by a nervous chuckle.
“ I’ve uh… got some explaining to do, don’t I? “
-
While everyone within the Workshop was distracted, Toy Santa was able to make his way to the room where he was created, completely undetected. The first thing Toy Santa did was marvel at the machine that had brought him to life.
“ YES… YES!! OH I MISSED YA, BABY!! “ Luckily, he was the size of an Action Figure, so no one heard his loud voice. “ LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!! I’VE GOT COAL TO DELIVER!! “
He ran towards the machine’s controls, hopped onto the panel, then jumped on the buttons to turn the machine on. Once the machine began to power up, Toy Santa leapt up to the lever and held onto it so it could land on the ENGLARGE option. After a few moments of warming up, the machine began to rumble and whir to life! Toy Santa finally landed on the ground then rubbed his plastic hands together.
“ OOH I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER!! “
#[ this was going to be one big post but tumblr said NOPE and ate my edits about 4 times :') ]#[ so im breaking it all up and chucking it at y'all now ]#INTO THE SANTAVERSE || ( drabble post! )#We Are Santa ( special drabble! )

Dark Academia Suggestions For Women

Agatha Christie was so good at what she did that her books are still used today in toxicology classes and she largely helped define the mystery genre

Though written for children, the Nancy Drew books follow the amateur detective and her female friends as they solve mysteries in mid-20th-century America and the character has become a cultural icon.
Gathering Blue and Son from “The Giver Quartet” by Lois Lowry
Books 2 and 4 in the Giver Quartet. While books 1 and 3 are also good, books 2 and 4 are featured here because they have female protagonists. The books are part of a series, but only loosely connected and can be read as standalone books if desired. Gathering Blue follows Kira in a dystopian future as she makes a place for herself in her village through her ability to dye cloth, a skill which helps prevent her from being cast out for being disabled. Son, meanwhile, follows Claire who is looking for her son after he was taken from her.

A staple of dark academia, it tells the story of Victor Frankenstein who creates artificial life and is immediately horrified by his creation, who swiftly grows angry and vengeful towards his creator.

Another staple of dark academia, follows six students who study the classics. The narrator is an adult version of one of the students reflecting on the events that led to a murder.
Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquival
Taking place in Mexico, Tita is being kept from her lover by her traditionalist mother. Tita expresses herself through her cooking which takes on magical properties.
The Inkheart Series by Cornelia Funke (Inkheart, Inkspell, and Inkdeath)
Follows Maggie and her book-worm father after she discovers her father has the ability to bring to life any book that he reads aloud. They are quickly swept off into the narrative of a fantasy novel.
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
Though part of a trilogy, the first novel is the most appropriate for dark academia, following a female protagonist (Lyra) in a historical fantasy setting as she unravels a mystery.

Lana Del Rey
Lorde

This is such a great interview....god, I miss Bobby. I’ve posted this because otherwise you need to be a subscriber...
I have to be honest, picturing Bobby doing this particular yoga pose makes me need to take a cold shower, lol. The part about his kids asking if he’s going to leave them is heartbreaking ....😭😭. I do love that he’s still baking...
************************
Every Sunday morning the actor Robert Carlyle grabs his mat and heads off for a session of “restorative yoga” in the Canadian port city of Vancouver, where he lives. There is one particular pose — called a “chest-opener”; you lie back, arms supported by bolsters, and release stress and feelings through the abdomen — that has produced remarkable results.
“You hold the pose for up to nine minutes and it releases emotions,” he says. “Out of nowhere I remembered this old lady leading me through the streets of Drumchapel in Glasgow when I was about seven years old, to go to see some wrestling. I hadn’t remembered her since I was a kid. I just lay there crying.”
Carlyle was brought up by his father, Joe, after his mother, Elizabeth, walked out to be with another man when he was four. His father was a painter and decorator, and the pair lived an itinerant existence around the UK in communes, shared houses and even tents. They lived in almost 100 homes. The old woman was his grandmother, Jean, who stepped in to help sometimes.
“That’s what set me off,” Carlyle says. “The realisation that this old woman was my dad’s mum, born in 1895 and survivor of two world wars. And here she was in her seventies, looking out for me when my dad was struggling to get to work.”
Carlyle left school at 16 and followed his father into painting and decorating. Aged 22, he discovered acting and, without formal training, appeared in The Hard Man, Tom McGrath’s play about the notorious Glasgow gangster Jimmy Boyle. After this he was encouraged to enrol at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland).
In the early 1990s he made a name for himself in the ITV detective series Cracker, as well as playing Begbie, the charismatic psycho in the screen adaptation of Irvine Welsh’s novel Trainspotting. Carlyle was lauded as a raw talent able to articulate a new “dirty realism”, although it was his role in the 1997 stripper comedy The Full Monty and as James Bond’s ex-KGB nemesis Renard in the 1999 film The World is Not Enough that catapulted him to international stardom.
“I went through a stage of being very angry about my mother, and that helped to fuel some of those roles,” he says. “As for Begbie in Trainspotting, that was partly me and partly the odd genuine psycho I had encountered in Glasgow.”
At the height of his fame in the 1990s Carlyle was at the centre of Cool Britannia and simultaneously friends with Damon Albarn from Blur and Noel Gallagher, then in Oasis (Carlyle appeared in the video for the single Little By Little). Tony Blair even recommended him for an OBE in the 1998 new year’s honours list. And yet, while at drama school Carlyle feared he might never get work because he wasn’t “posh”.
Now he has come full circle because he is about to play the fictional British prime minister Robert Sutherland in the new six-part Sky drama series Cobra. “Before I opened the script, I actually thought it was about a snake,” he says. “That’s what living away from home does to you.”
Cobra in fact refers to the Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms, the government’s crisis centre where national emergencies from terrorist attacks to natural disasters are handled. In this case the threat comes from a geomagnetic storm resulting from a solar flare that is threatening the worldwide electrical infrastructure. Kettles stop boiling. Cities go dark. Planes drop from the sky.
Carlyle is rigorous in his preparation for roles. When cast as a bus driver in Ken Loach’s 1996 film Carla’s Song he qualified as one. “For a working-class guy from Glasgow, being a prime minister was always going to be challenging,” he says. “I listened to tapes of posh Scottish MPs like [the former foreign secretary] Sir Malcolm Rifkind. He’ll sound like a Scot most of the time, but there are certain turns of phrase when you think, ‘Are you sure this guy is for real?’”
Keen-eyed viewers will have seen Carlyle in the BBC’s adaptation of HG Wells’s The War of the Worlds as the “potentially gay” astronomer Ogilvy. But perhaps only true aficionados will have spotted him as John Lennon in the Beatles tribute film Yesterday. He appeared as a counterfactual, 78-year-old Lennon enjoying his dotage in a bungalow by the sea. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr approved, but Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono wasn’t happy. “She didn’t like the idea of people seeing John get old, which I understand, but [the director] Danny Boyle argued that John is revered public property,” Carlyle says.
Carlyle wouldn’t accept a credit for the role. “That felt like too much. The chance to play a hero was enough. I don’t think it hurts to occasionally do things for love.”
Lennon’s relationship with his mother, Julia, was fractured too of course, and after a turbulent adolescence and having reached the top of his professional game, Carlyle came to yearn for a family. “I could go anywhere and have anything. [The 1990s] were an extraordinary time. But even then, I was quite a shy person, and I wanted kids and a home and a wife. Every day I am thankful that I found the most fantastic woman to do that with.”
Carlyle met his wife, the make-up artist Anastasia Shirley, while working on Cracker, and they have three children: Ava, 17, Harvey, 15, and Pearce, 13. After ten years in Vancouver, where Carlyle was making the US series Once Upon a Time, his children consider themselves Canadian. Sometimes they ask about his upbringing, an era referred to as his “black and white years”. “‘Dad, tell us about the black and white years,’ they say. It’s pretty heavy telling children about your mother leaving because they look frightened and say, ‘Are you going to bugger off as well?’ When I’ve reassured them, they just look sad. So I say to them, ‘Don’t be sad for me, I got all the love I ever needed. I don’t feel angry or aggrieved. It was her that missed out.’”
Carlyle’s father died of a heart attack in 2006, and in an attempt to work through his grief Carlyle embarked on a tour of the homes they shared together. “That tour was about confirming I had lived that life,” he says. “I’ve been honoured at Buckingham Palace. I’ve done a Bond movie. But I’ve also slept rough with my old man under Brighton pier. It can mess with your head. Going back reminded me where I’m from. I sat in the car weeping.”
For now the family remain in Canada while the children complete their schooling. At weekends he takes them to football, bakes bread (Carlyle taught himself after discovering that Lennon was an accomplished home baker) and the family sometimes go for walks in a local forest.
He celebrated New Year’s Eve in Scotland with his old friend Robert del Naja from Massive Attack and, sooner or later, the family will return for good. It’s striking that Carlyle has not lost his accent. “You don’t lose the accent unless you want to,” he says with a smile. “I love our life in Canada. It’s a beautiful country with beautiful people. But I only have to do a couple of yoga poses to know I’ve got a lot of Britain still inside of me.”
All episodes of Cobra are available from January 17 on Sky One and NOW TV

Death Note (completed list)
all L/Light, unless specified otherwise.
Top 5:
Best Wishes From a Goddess of Death by The_Maiden_of_Autumn; M (fluff, AU, angst) Misa Amane is not stupid- oblivious and airheaded sometimes, but definitely not lacking in intelligence. She can see the way Light and L are together, the regretful, sorrowful looks L gives her whenever she speaks to Light. She knows where this is heading; she just doesn't want it to be this way. But she's made her bed, and wishes them happiness, she truly does. Slight LightxL
Cake Crumbs And Bed Sheets by Jenwryn; M (AU, fluff, romance) An inexplicable and very fluffy AU, written for Australia Day. In which L eats lamingtons and vanilla slice - and has help to fall asleep.
Kanji by sashocirrione; T (fluff, AU, hurt/comfort) Light is bringing L home to meet his sister and mother, as L is now his boyfriend. But Light can't shake off the feeling that he was somehow tricked into the situation. Fluffy and probably somewhat OOC, not my usual style. Written for Persefone88, one of the winners of my 100th review contest, (started back when I was still running that contest).
(Now And Then There’s) A Fool Such As I by Light It Up; T (AU, fluff) Knowing he couldn’t miss his first class, L took a deep breath and strode into the hallways, ignoring anyone who tried talking to him. By the time he was sitting at Biology and had his pencil twirling between his fingers, hearing the teacher explaining things he already knew and the girls to his right talking about stupidities he didn’t want to know, L just wanted to vent about how he was feeling. However, he would never do that with someone he actually knew.
you’re a wasp nest by raisuki; M (fluff, AU) But Light was already wandering off, his cane clicking rhythmically as he navigated the halls. He gave L a half-hearted wave before merging back into the flow of people. L was fairly sure he has just been tricked into buying Light Yagami dinner, and he was also pretty sure Light Yagami is the most audacious person he had ever met.
and now, for all the rest!
K/K+
Ambiguity Among Two by Fledgling [L x Light. Hugging. Handcuffed. Ficlet.] L shuddered at the memory, and briefly, he dug his fingertips into Light's back, willing bruises inside that whispered of sleepless, difficult nights.
Bedtime by Servant Gabrielle (humor, romance) Drabble. LightxL. Sometimes, being handcuffed together caused a few problems.
Candy by Eriko Myoujin (romance) L wants to know if Raito enjoys candy. Supposed to take place during the time Raito has forfeited his memories of the Death Note. A silly little thing written for an LJ community. [LxRaito]
Candy is Dandy by firedraygon (humor) During a latenight investigation, L is craving some chocolate. LxRaito
Duplicity’s a Matter of Fact by lefcadio Light x L. A thunderstorm, an unexpected conversation, and cake.
I’m Glad I Found You by bri-notthecheese (+Misa/Matsuda; romance, friendship) No one would have expected a relationship to blossom between Investigator Touta Matsuda and Model Misa Amane. However, if a friendship developed between them while she was under suspicion and then she eventually decided to let Light go, Matsuda would be the perfect prince waiting for her when she decided that he was who she truly wanted and needed. Matsuisa ftw.
Observations by Asidian L does some unconventional observations. Too bad he can't convince himself it's for the good of the investigation. Light x L.
Out of Focus by Chiba.Kun (romance) [LightxL] Written from Light's POV. Oneshot. Not much to it. When the two are handcuffed together, innocent desires surface. I apologize for the crappy summary.
Sleepy Chains by WellspringIsSuperLame (romance) In which a tired Raito becomes rather suspicious of Ryuuzaki. Random little one-shot, LxRaito fun.
Starlight by subdivided (drama, romance) AU manga ending, LLight, one shot. The Kira case is declared solved before Light can regain his memory. He and L leave the party early, for a garden under the stars.
Sweeter Than Sugar by Manwyn (romance) LxRaito. L offer Raito one of his treats... AN: Sorry i'm not very good with summarys.
What I Lay Down by mleeph (romance, drama) Love comes in percentages, but sacrifice is a matter of absolutes. Thus, L comes to a realization at 1:19 in the morning. [Raito x L ]
G
3:19 Am by Tierfal (romance, drama) This is really not the time of day at which Light prefers to discuss their respective revelations.
Bad Habits by domo (humor) Light hates it when Ryuuzaki bites his nails, Ryuu just wants to know if Light is gay or not.
Bananas by Tierfal (humor, romance) Best. Idea. EVER.
Cake by Desmenn
Confused "No thanks. I'm fine like this- confused."
Counting the Coffee Drip by NOT_TOWA_WAKASA (fluff) Light is a blind man who loves to count. L finds him curious, and wades through the holiday season to visit him wherever he may appear.
Dance With Me by dotti55 Light wants talks L into trying a new experience.
Easily Entertained by Tierfal (humor, romance) It's an important distinction.
First & Final by overdose I watched the most emotional Death Note scene in Death Note history. (I've only made it to L's death) So, I decided to do something with it. Kinds sucky and rushed.
The First Noel by OctaviaPeverell (romance) Because L loves Christmas desserts and Light can't get enough of handcuffs!
Four Minutes of Solitude by Tierfal (humor, romance) L tries to take a break, the operative word being "tries."
Heaven-Sent Hypocrisy by Tierfal (romance, fluff) Somebody up there was looking out for him.
mellifera by alharper He sleeps beside you, spare hand curled around the chain, six feet of arrogant beauty and ruthless intelligence softened and hidden.
Oh So Smart by Zanganito (+Misa/Light; fluff, angst, humor, hurt/comfort) Misa decides to have movie night! During the film, Light makes a few unwelcome realizations and is moved to tears. L takes advantage of the opportunity to mock him relentlessly. Set just after the conclusion of the Yotsuba arc.
On A Boat by Tierfal (humor, angst, romance, hurt/comfort, AU) Light is considering throwing himself over the side and trying to drown.
Perilous by Tierfal (humor, romance) It's just another evening… until it's not.
Perverted by Tierfal (humor, romance) It's all about the contingency plans.
Provocation by Jenwryn (humor) "I would not provoke Watari-san if I were you, Light-kun."
Resolved Tension by norestforthewckd (fluff) Light Yagami does not like Ryuzaki. Light Yagami is a very big liar with a bit of a soft spot for a certain man.
Sub Finem by RatatoskMode "...I still can’t believe that this is the end. No, it’s more like I don’t want to believe it. The only person I deemed worthy of taking my life was L himself, but to go this way is pathetic." Light Yagami is dying, and he's visited by a familiar ghost of his past.
The Taste by Tierfal (romance, AU) It makes perfect sense.
Will You Be My Valentine? by TabbyCat33098 (AU, fluff) L has been getting mysterious presents all day long, presents of a...how do you say? Romantic persuasion. What is going on? Who's sending these?
Word Play by CuteCat213 (AU, fluff) Remarkable: worthy of attention; striking. L bit his thumb and watched Light. His boyfriend certainly was striking. And he was sure Light wouldn't mind; there had to be at least six other things more creepy than watching his boyfriend sleep and tying to think of words to describe it.
T
Antioxidant Properties by remarks Rivals getting hot and bothered (mismatched socks and a kiwifruit).
Are you Lonesome Tonight? by Light It Up Their time apart had scarred the both of them. There were days someone would mention that High School relationships didn’t last long, or that when two people started dating at a too young age, they always ended up drifting apart. Those days were when L was the most vulnerable, and Light made sure to spend the night with him, whether at the Yagami house or at L and Watari’s.
The Boy’s Too Refined by sabriel75 (AU) The notorious detective, Sherlock Holmes, takes too keen of interest in Light and L's affairs. He suffers a concussed head for it. Light loses his innocence. Both were bound to happen sometime though as far as John Watson and L were concerned.
Caveat Emptor by Tierfal (humor, drama) In which there are shopping trips, sarcasm, backhanded compliments, dark rooms, big guns, bubble baths, trauma of every sort, and detailed fantasies involving cake - lots of those. Let the buyer beware indeed. L/Light.
Cherade by lefcadio Light x L. When you're handcuffed to someone, insomnia takes its toll in one way or another.
A Different Decision by phoenixjustice Maybe a world free of criminals and ran by Kira would truly be a better place.
Fevered by Ivydoll (Mello/Near; romance, drama) MelloNear. When Near's illness jars the boys' comfort zones, they lose some of their control and experience a slight tilt towards one another.
Fidgeting by Tierfal (romance, fluff, AU) "Don't squirm."
From the (Very Private) Notebook Of... by Shayheyred (humor, crack) Probability that L is a dork: 100%
The Ghost Inside You by slightowl In which Light must learn to cope with an undead roommate. (An LxLight ghost story.)
Giving And Taking by Jenwryn (AU, romance) AU. The Kira case is closed, and L had promised himself he'd make a move on his partner-in-crime-solving but... there's too much to risk losing.
grow old or something by youremyqueen The afterlife is a bit like normal life, in that it's completely dull.
Lay Your Hands On Me by Light It Up (AU, fluff) Of course, though, it was only seldom that Light remembered that. He couldn’t care less about when he’d leave this small, crappy apartment, not when every now and then he could catch scenes and sounds so enticing from the man he’d been in love with for about a year and a half.
Love Tonight by Light It Up (AU, fluff) Light looks at him with tears in his eyes, blinking a few times to force them back. Almost shyly, he nods, so L reaches up to brush away a stray tear from his cheek. “It’s your birthday, you idiot,” Light explains then, hugging his knees as close to him as he can.
Never Forgotten by metal goat (angst) Raito can never seem to forget L, no matter how hard he tries... LRaito, some RaitoMisa. Spoilers for Ch.58. Shounenai. Oneshot
The Plan by strange_isle (drama, AU) Light's scheme was both devious and elegant. Too bad it's gone awry. Now in the aftermath, L demands answers, but Light's not exactly in the most amenable of moods.
A Pocketful of Posey by Edmondia Dantes Redux (drama) Ashes, ashes, we all fall down. Light/L.
Sour Candy by Edmondia_Dantes On the taste of apples and sugar.
Special Quality by Tasogare Nagisa (crack) We are all defined by that one special quality; if only we knew what that quality was...
Sweet Things by Light it Up (AU, fluff) Their relationship had started just before the Kira case was closed. Light confessed to the detective that he was the assassin, and when he thought L was going to handcuff him and send him to prison, where he would wait for the jury to decide when his death sentence would take place, L had instead kissed him. Although he could never be completely sure of it, Light guessed that the fact that he was crying when he confessed was the factor that made L’s mind up.
Sweetest Decay by Fantastical Queen Ebony Black (Mello/Near; angst) Letting you get the better of me. MelloNear [Spoilers for chapters in the 90's]
Taste by Hikaru R Kudou (humor) Shounen ai, Raito and L. A conversation between the two over breakfast. Raito: "I happen to like them that way. Is my taste bothering you?"
Unreliable as the Mind by Ramasi Losing and regaining his memories doesn't make Light's already complicated feelings for his opponent any simpler; and L might have even less scruples about killing someone he loves.
What you’ve always known by Devilinthebox (hurt/comfort, angst) Light comforts L about his body image. L tries to put distance but needs the comfort. He lets some defenses down (Request)
White Sepulcher by World’sOnlyConsultingTimeLady (angst, romance) L's rationality falls on an ordinary, dull night. L/Light one shot
Winter Wonderland by Light it Up (fluff, AU) What Light didn’t mention, was that he was extremely sensitive to the cold. He had never gone out during the Christmas holidays because when he was very little, he had come down with pneumonia after staying out on a windy day, so his parents never allowed him out again.
World is Mine by Light it Up (fluff, AU) Given that information, it’s quite obvious that Light lost, and the idea L had was certainly the most embarrassing thing Light has ever heard in his life. His cheeks are read in the mirror, and he turns a few times to look at himself from every angle, his heart pounding against his chest. This is so not a good idea, and he’s sure L just wants to see him like that to laugh at him, but God, Light has to admit that he likes what he’s seeing.
M
Almost Oblivion by Serria L knows that Light doesn't close his eyes at night for fear of waking up as Kira. L, on the contrary, won't rest until that transition is complete.
An Apple a Day by hyperRme (romance, crime) ...but if the doctor is cute forget the fruit. L turns this into his motto when he is forced to see doctor Raito because of his sugar only diet. As he pursues the doctor, L learns that the murderer he is trying to catch is pursuing Raito’s life.
At Night by Vehuel (PWP) Things that happen at night should stay between the two of them. Secret, and covered in darkness.
Chance of Circumstances by wordbombs (romance, humor) Sometimes all happiness takes is a change of circumstances. L/Light, fluffly lemon meringue AU one-shot. Answers- What if Light was a Wammy?
Choose by reaperlight (AU, fluff, angst, humor) Light isn't too fond of Valentine's Day. As it turns out neither is L...
Control by mmmdraco From the 3 Sentence Ficathon: Death Note, L/Light, control
Daylight The Light Does Bring by Jenwryn (romance, fluff, AU) The detective rolls onto his side, displacing Light's trailing thumb, and stares up at the younger man.
Guilty until proven Innocent by Callicanios (mystery, romance) Kira has emerged, the great detective L sets out to stop him. Only thing, Light is not Kira. Due to the explicitly of the chapters beyond chapter 14 the rating will be changed to M. LxLight
Softly Now by Jenwryn (romance, AU) The apartment is laced with the smell of fresh paint, and L has flecks of blue upon his cheeks.
Somnambulism by reaperlight (crack, humor) Light does not appreciate L’s sense of humor.
Submission by lichenglie “I think you forget, Light Yagami, that I am just as childish as Kira is,” he says, “and I hate to lose.”
Water, water, water by Devilinthebox In the bath, they forget they’re a detective and a suspect; they remove these identities along with their clothes, layer by layer until there are only the handcuffs left. And them; facing the other in the eerie calmness of their bathroom. At least, it’s how Light sees it.
E
Anger Before Bliss by mannysue (angst) L was depressed. Depressed that his deduction was wrong. Light is very much not pleased by this change in L's demeanor. He decides to take action.
Bang! by youremyqueen Written for the second death note kink meme, prompt was: in bed with a fully loaded gun.
by night we go naked, by day we go blind by youremyqueen Written for the second death note kink meme, prompt was: sensory deprivation.
Can’t I Even Dream? by Light It Up (fluff, smut) They didn’t kiss; it was more like breathing each other’s air, being as close as physics allowed them to. Sometimes Light wished they could just freeze the world and stay in a moment forever, just enjoying their own company and that instant when their bodies were in perfect synchrony, hips meeting at every precise thrust.
Clean by FayJay Set during the period when Light had given up the Death Note, and didn't know he was Kira.
Dirty by FayJay Set during the period when Light had given up the Death Note, and did not know he was Kira. (Sequel to 'Clean', but can be read as a standalone.)
Interested in Learning More by Shadow_Of_Quill Light isn't asexual. He just has... unusual interests. And Ryuuzaki is very observant.
Intermission by Shiraume What happened right after the infamous fight in Vol 5.
Just Before Sunset by Evilchuckles (romance) Perhaps they don't want to remember. Perhaps it's enough to be happy.
Linked by Shayheyred The chain is not what connects them
Low of Solipsism by Light It Up (AU, fluff) Even after six months of them dating, Light still wondered what it was about L that drove him so wild. Before him he used to be a quiet lover, rarely making any sounds more than a moan here and there. That being said, it’s easy to understand that Light was surprised when they first started touching each other and he instantly became vocal.
Playing the Part by Vector L was alone in his intent stare at the monitors.
Roundabout Truth by Ramasi Light is furious when he's kept in chains after he regains his memories; he has no choice but to try and figure out L further.
See Me by Shadow_of_Quill (AU) Light sometimes thinks he'd give anything to have someone see him for who he really is.
Something to Think About by dotti55 Having moved to The Wammy's House together, L and Light share their first Valentine's Day together, and make some discoveries about their relationship and their future together.
