One time in science, my friend was listing off all the Fall Out Boy albums and they were like “From Under the Cork Tree”, “Infinity on High”, “Folie a Deux”, “Save Rock and Roll”, “American Beauty/American Pysco”, “Mania”, and “So Much (for) Stardust”, and I was like “You forgot one”. Then they said “Evening Out With Your Girlfriend doesn’t count” and I was like “Not that one, the other one” then they were like “What other one?”. I was too nervous to say “Take This To Your Grave” because like I forgot if it was the actual name of the album or not I’m gonna be so fr, so I just said “The Grave one” and pulled it up on Spotify and then they realized their mistake.

the thing about American Beauty/American Psycho (sixth studio album by American rock band Fall Out Boy, released on January 16, 2015) is that it is about memory (i remember i remember; i can’t remember just how to forget; i don’t want to remember it all) and being remembered (i was only born inside my dreams; i only appeared so i can fade away) and nostalgia and looking back on what was (you were the song stuck in my head; the promises you made if i just hold on) and what could have been vs what is (i said i’d never miss you but you never know; we’re the thing that love destroys; i just need enough of you to dull the pain) and watching it all fade away (hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on)

Before I go to bed, I wish to share an image I rediscovered in my camera roll of my Yuppie Puppy being cuddled by a certain puppy 💖

I wish they made a pop funko of the Polite Leader, too (after all, he is arguably the mascot of the Purge), but I digress. I love that I can at least have Patrick as a funko.

It's sad because my ex got him for me as a Christmas gift (ironically, Cinnamoroll, who's also pictured, was a gift from Build a Bear the last summer we spent together). I won't go into details, but he did something very hurtful that night, and when he left, I spent the rest of the night cuddling with my Patty funko, watching true crime. And now, every night, he watches me sleep and keeps me safe 💖

Truly, the power of fictional others is healing and one of a kind ❤️❤️❤️ Even when real-life people hurt you, you know your fictional people won't 💓🫂
