like the thing is the last time i was a massive fall out boy fan i was 14 and i was still trying to figure out what Good Music was and truth be told most of what i considered Good Music at age 14 is absolute dogshit. so imagine my surprise when i returned to from under the cork tree 8 years later and it wasn't just Not Dogshit, it was from under the cork tree

it's true that hermann's clothing aesthetic is mostly something along the lines of "dorky professor," but i think it's really more like 80% dorky professor, 20% military surplus. (that 20% is probably all ppdc gear, but the Aesthetic™ of the ppdc gear is milsurp).

like, hermann's a practical guy. he cares more about the function of his clothes than the appearance (see: glasses cord, oversized parka). he's also been working for the ppdc since he was in his mid-20s. you can't tell me he doesn't own, like, fleece quarter-zip tops in neutral colours and too-big "one size fits all" sweatpants with "P.P.D.C." stamped on the side.

I remember walking in the door at son of monsterpalooza and immediately spotting Mr. Moseley’s banner within 30 ft from the door. I was NOT ready to walk into the con and instantly meet him. Caroline Williams’ booth was right next to his too. I told her she has the best horror movie scream ever! I was soooo star struck. She loved me for my KOKLA shirt! Bill Johnson was so sweet to me and very modest when I told him he’s my favorite Leatherface.

i have two modes of dressing and it’s either spending an hour plus picking out an outfit doing my hair putting on some makeup and picking out a matching bag or i just roll out of bed throw on some sneakers and call it a day

i get so excited when i see swifties start posting about how bad taylor's sense of style is bc i know i'm about to see a fucking great outfit. and that holds true today.

so his denim obsession had to have been something he got into before nyc cuz mikey left that jacket to him… im thinking of young teen carmy going thrifting and finding an old pair of denims and just being really curious about the history and he starts looking stuff up and it just intrigues him. maybe he would always wanna borrow that jacket but mikey would say no tell him he’s a kid and that he could when he’s older

ANON… all that just for carmy to sell Mikey’s jacket in s1 ep1… my heart is broken

I love thinking about teen carmy thrifting ;_; he totally would too! I think carmy is a rly curious person and enjoys knowing the why behind things, the whole story. I love that he loves denim and vintage denim and vintage clothing… it’s such an interesting facet of his character

Carmy’s fashion isn’t over the top or flashy, but he’s still obvs so into fashion nonetheless. He cares about the quality of clothes and things he puts on his body!!!
