Okay hear me out (other people have basically already said this but hold on this is my post)

We're getting very clear messages that indicate something might be... wrong with Clancy. During the US leg via the FPE letters we heard a lot about how Clancy was inspiring the masses, and now it kind of seems to be the opposite. Torch explicitly saying we destroyed them so we didn't become them.

Plus Tyler now wearing black shirts, with imagery that seems to relate to Blurryface songs. The occasions last tour where his "Clancy" shirt was black text instead of red. The Blurryface account tweeting again this tour. The bishops taking over the Judge that one time, trying to hijack a moment that celebrates the clique (irl banditos). Paladin Strait, which apparently is not supposed to sound like an ending, which concludes with Clancy being named explicitly by Nico, and which shows a version of Tyler in the mv literally sitting above it all & seemingly mirroring people's movements from other shots.

I see your "Clancy becomes a bishop" theories (I love bishop!clancy to be clear I think it's awesome) but I think that might be too esoteric to end up being the explicit canon (I could also be wrong and it will be, but functionally the rest of the point here is the same). The thing is, Clancy is pretty simply intended to be a version of Tyler that extracts and represents certain traits, just like Blurryface. We know Blurryface to be insecurity. Clancy has never been said explicitly afaik but I think it's clear he represents Tyler's drive to create things that inspire people (despite crushing obstacles like mental illness - Dema and the bishops, and especially with the help and inspiration of others - Torchbearers and the banditos (us)). Which we know can be incredible, but can also become self-destructive. We were introduced to Clancy at first cryptically through his personal writings, and only explicitly after a long time (and after being told he'd "died" by the characters that represent Tyler's mental health struggles, which, depressed creatives iykyk) because I think owning your creativity and ability to inspire others is a much more arduous journey than being controlled by your insecurity. But Clancy was never intended to be a different type of character despite all that. He is a version of Tyler.

And just like Blurryface he gets his own namesake album. A lot of people have pointed out how the Clancy and Blurryface tracklists can actually be read to mirror each other. As the lore progressed Blurryface became Nico (and the other 8 bishops) battling against Clancy, but they're all abstractions from Tyler's mind. Both literally, in the sense that he is literally the one coming up with the story, but we're also reminded of this on both Bandito and Overcompensate with the "created this world" bridge. I believe this is also what we're seeing represented in those shots in the Paladin Strait mv. There's also the fact that the Clancy era is extremely extremely red - this in lore represents Clancy's process of reclamation as well as his (violent) uprising, but in tøp's wider context it is kinda just The Blurryface Color along with black.

Blurryface turns 10 immediately after the Clancy tour ends. We know the Clancy tour to be the reflection of "someone's life flashing before their eyes" and that this album was supposedly meant to wrap up the Dema storyline. I do not think this means Clancy dies. Because he is Tyler, and he cannot die, because for that to happen I think Tyler would have to never write or make anything again. And we also know this to be a cycle. I think what's happening is what's always been kind of obvious, and inevitable. I think Clancy is going to become Blurryface. I think he's already been Blurryface this entire time. They're the same person at different parts of the cycle, and I think we're going back to the start of it.

but i mean like what if she blessed/gave (???) lets say something like couples who want kids but cannot have them, or couples that lost their baby/mothers who had a miscarriage

im fully aware anybody who has a miscarriage still has a chance of giving birth to another baby, so this part kinda applies more towards couples that want kids but cant have them- but id say she looks for people who desperately want and are worthy to have kids, and kinda like (god i wish you guys could see my hand movements right now) gives them a child??? idk i mean she could just kinda like leave a kid on their front doorstep and just so happens to be a perfect mix of the couple (or person)?? something like that??

yea i know its such a weird concept and very loose but i think its a nice thought ! like the goddess of childbirth using her power to help those who want but cannot have kids

i think artemis would also have to play a role in this, like she and hera judge and evaluate whoever theyre gonna give a kid to so they know theyre not giving it to somebody who wont treat the kid right or like a couple that thinks having a kid will fix their relationship

Anyways .. Ik that Garroth was canonically aware of his charm and was known to be very charismatic + outgoing, but idk!! I think it’d be cute if during his middle school + first few years of high school, he was socially awkward kinda like his MCD counterpart 😭 Like that’s one of the only traits that carried over from his MCD self

I also like to think that Katelyn (since they were friends in PDH iirc) and Laurance kinda helped him get out of his shell and become more confident !

Imagining freshman Garroth feeling super flustered from all the attention he was getting from other people at his school, all while Katelyn and Laurance are watching and giggling & then tease him about it later 💀💀

I don’t think he’d be like.. PDH Travis and Aphmau kind of shy, though. They were the type of shy where they stuttered pretty often and kinda like tripped over their words, or they would mumble, but I don’t see Garroth ever being like that. I think it’s just like… he’s a little awkward? He knows how to speak to people a little bit, I just imagine he’d get a little nervous when carrying on a conversation and then kinda shy away after a while & that he doesn’t really know how handle A LOT of positive attention from a lot of people around his age OR people older than him

Literally it’s like :

The girls at school compliment his appearance and his voice -> Garroth: “Haha (awkward)… Thank you… (the attention makes his palms sweaty + the attention is making him uncomfortable, so he tries to leave)”

Teachers compliment him in front of all his classmates -> Garroth: “Thanks… (awkward + uncomfortable w/ the attention from both his teacher and his peers, so he just looks down at his textbook until he thinks it’s okay to look back up again)”

Then imagining Laurance helping him become less shy.. helping him talk to people (girls, in particular) and learning how to make friends easier, giving him advice .., telling Garroth that he’s naturally charming and endearing, so people will like him a lot , saying that even he would fall for Garroth because he’s “pretty good looking” and “a really sweet guy”, And Garroth gets EXTREMELYYY flustered after hearing that .. (Avg. Garroth response: “Ah… Haha… Thank you, man. It – um… It means a lot. 🙂 (awkward smile that looks pained a little bit kinda)” -> Laurance response: “😭 You gotta get better at taking compliments, man!”

Omg … Katelyn also giving him advice, but she mainly helped by getting him on the baseball team ! She heard that he was interested and introduced him to the captain and the team members.. and she helps him talk to them, so he could make more friends !! I can imagine her sitting on the bleachers and watching Garroth fail at conversing and literally just being like “There is no way.” So, she has to step in and help him 💀

Also imagining in my head that Garroth goes home everyday and practices so he could impress Katelyn and Laurance. And then literally rehearsing what he’ll say to people a bunch of times in his head before he actually talks to them.

I think by the time he got to Senior year he mostly grew out of being shy, but sometimes he still has his moments 😭

And then, later when they’re all actually Living on Mystreet, when they’re all hanging out -> Katelyn is like: “Oh my Irene, do you remember how awkward Garroth was during, like, the first year or two of high school??” -> Laurance:“Oh wait! Yeah! Wow… who would’ve thought he would’ve turned out like this?” -> and all Garroth can do is laugh awkwardly while they reminisce and tease him abt it 💀💀💀💀

i have so many more garroth headcanons in my brain like omg .. the blond cube guy from the Minecraft roleplay I liked when I was like 12 is taking over my brain yet again……….

donnie spending so much more time devoted to finding a retromutagen, even more than when april's dad was mutated, and rockwell seeing this, and just being confused, and donnie explaining that he's noticed the longing in splinter and tang shen's eyes when they look at the photo of their human family of three just of three, so he wants to see if he can help them become normal again (he doesn't mention that normal doesn't include the four brothers, normal is hamato yoshi, tang shen, and miwa, three of a kind, perfect and human)

slash looking for raph one night but stumbling upon leo sitting on a rooftop, staring out at the city, and can't help himself because leo looks so lost and so sad, and despite their differences slash has known leo for the same amout of time he's known raph, has been privy to so many conversations, so he sits, and leo just comments to him that he understands slash's resentment now, he gets why slash was so possessive over raph when he was first mutated, and slash just sits there horrified, because what could have happened to make such a kind and loyal turtle look so despondent, so hurt, so betrayed

and when, ultimately, the boys leave the lair and head to bradford and xever's apartment to stay for a while, the mutanimals are there, and april and casey are there, reminding the boys that they're not alone, that they've got a family who loves them more than anything, and will always be there to take care of them.

rocking back & forth trying to be normal abt the way people talk abt bsi i am going crazyyy........ there is critique to be had but people's full disengagement from anything else the story has to offer or attempt to reconcile its intent with its execution makes my head blow up. bc i don't think they actually understand its intent. or themes. which is crazy bc personally i think the bioshock series hits you over the head with what it's going for even if it doesn't always get it right. like i do not know how much i can emphasize that the point was not centrism. that was a mistake in execution. i literally cannot think of another mainstream game that comes anywhere close to confronting america's history and flaws-inherent-in-its-founding head-on the way infinite does.

also i DO think a lot of my reaction comes out of playing if before the original series and therefore not having the expectation that it's a 'choices matter' game (which. it's sort of barely in the gameplay in the original but i do understand it's in the text) and also the themes of it are very up my alley! arguably much more than the original! but i don't think that's an excuse for every audience member being unable to engage with a new game and world on its own terms

ive been rereading tnp and it’s bothering me so much i need to mention it here; it’s kind of insane how much the erins bend over backwards to make brambleclaw deputy, it’s kind of just nonsensical.

not even him not having an apprentice when he’s picked, though that is kind of wild, he just… there’s basically no good reason other than him being a main pov character and tigerstar’s son. literally any other thunderclan warrior who’s had an apprentice (barring maybe ashfur) would have been a better choice. thornclaw dustpelt sandstorm cloudtail brackenfur- brackenfur is one that firestar explicitly considers and the reasoning why he decides not to is so incredibly weak ‘oh i dont think he’d be right for leader’ number one what are you talking about number 2 then use him being deputy as an opportunity to help him become right for leader are you telling me firestar thinks the cat he once considered letting die in a fire is a better fit for leader than the cat he half mentored. dustpelt is clearly an experienced warrior, sandstorm is someone firestar obviously has faith in, thornclaw is experienced and i’m pretty sure you even see firestar consult him a few times (cloudtail is iffy bc thats cloudtail but he’d really be a better choice, just how he treats daisy and her kits would be an interesting justification for firestar making him second-in-command) but honestly besides the narrative jumping through hoops to act like the other very viable options are either secretly bad choices or otherwise ignore them (why is bramble the only cat we ever see jump to help firestar with stuff they just wrote everyone else to be silent or w/e) but in twilight where he arguably acts the most like de-facto deputy in leaf and squirrel’s pov he’s framed as a jackass half the book??? why would you do that if you intend to make him actual leader?? in his trial run of being kinda-not-deputy you just make him use his semi-authority to be cold and fucking mean to his friend and her buddy??? like i see him being qualified due to having experience being the travel group’s leader and whatnot, but barely anything else is done to make him realistically more qualified than anyone else- he just angsts about his ambitions and gets handed the position because starclan vouched for him for some damn reason even though by his society’s laws he should not be in that position
