Mo’at was not joking when she spoke of Jake Sully and his stubbornness, the reason why she decided you’d be a perfect aid is due to your patience, which was running very thin at the moment.

“I’m here to assist you, but i cannot do my job if you refuse to go against my requests.” you stated sharply, his ears pinned against his hair and his lips tightened into a straight line, he simply crossed his arms. This was the 3rd date you’d set up for him that he’s rejected.

Not the first, or the second, but the third time. To make matters worse whenever you’d complain to Mo’at she’d simply tell you to just push a little farther.

“I told you I didn’t like her” he said sternly, repeating the same statement he has for the past 2 weeks. “skxawng, [moron] you’ve said the same thing for the other 2 na’vi i’ve tried to pair you with, do not be selfish, think of the future of our people-“

“That’s all I think about y/n, I might be many things but selfish isn’t one of’em. You can’t just force someone with me, if im going to be with some girl for the rest of my life at least let me make my own decision.” He quickly cut you off, now unfolding his arms and placing a hand at his side, eyeing you up and down. You’d be lying if you said he didn’t make any good points, if you were in his place you’d be more than frustrated, but regardless you’re job here was to help and provide for the olo’eyktan, which is exactly what you were going to do.

“Mr. Sully, please-“

“Jake. It’s jake kid” He buds in, smiling softly.

“Jake, I understand what you’re saying and how you feel, but part of my job is providing, and what i’m doing is providing for you and your future” You correct yourself, giving him a pleading look, searching in his eyes for a look of understanding, which you soon found. He relaxed a bit and wasn’t as tense as before, nodding in approval. You quickly smiled, thankful this situation didn’t have to escalate to a serious argument like it has before hand. Those times were the worst times for the both of you, and thankfully you’ve both been able to talk them out and set boundaries and learn from past mistakes, if anything Mo’at would repeat how times like those strengthens the relationship you two share, and she wasn’t wrong.

“m’sorry” He said quietly, but loud enough for you to hear, rubbing his hands together and sitting down, his tail curling up beside him with his head down. “syeha si tam [breathe, it’s okay], you have nothing to apologize for, i’m sorry too, the position you’re in isn’t easy, trust me I know” you said calmly, slowly walking over to him, just for him to open up his arms. You slowly walked over to him, quickly embracing him just for him to do the same with you. You sighed and smiled softly, your head resting on his.

Come to think of it Jake was always a physical kind of person, “touchy” is what the term is. Whenever things would go wrong with him or the clan he would drain out quickly, before he didn’t have anyone to rely on, not a friend close enough for him to talk to so he would create a relationship with Mo’at, asking her for advice and methods to aid him, right before he came across you. You would be seated with Mo’at, mixing herbs for her while listening to their conversations, on specific days jake would speak about certain na’vi women attempting to court him, which made you giggle when you first heard it

“Who is she?” Jake asked quickly glancing over at you, as you quickly covered your mouth to stop any other laughter. Mo’at turned to you and back at Jake softly smiling. “Her name is y/n, I love her like a daughter of mine,she’s been under my arm for the past 12 years” She said proudly, Jake nodded his head, not taking his eyes off of you, watching as you walked over and stood beside Mo’at.

“Ohe ahasey sa’nok” [I’ve finished mother] You said, placing the bowl in Mo’at’s hands, smiling at her, she thanked you and introduced you to Jake. “Te suli, this is y/n, y/n this is tsyeyk suli, our olo’ektyan” She stated, directing her hand to you than back to jake. You quickly signed the “I see you” gesture saying “Oel ngati kameie” as he nodded and repeated the same action. You looked him in his eyes, just to realize he was looking at you this whole time, you quickly looked to the side and began to distract yourself.

He had such an intense gaze, does he look at everyone like that? You asked yourself, your tail thrashing back and forth recalling the scene that happened just seconds ago.

“If you need extra assistance I can always have y/n accompany you, she’s always wanted to to explore other fields of work, I think she could help you a lot” Mo’at spoke soothingly, placing the bowl you gave her down and adding bandages to it. Jake continued to watch you, listening to Mo’at’s words carefully, still grinning ear to ear.

“I’d love that” He said, slowly standing up to take his leave.

That was 4 months ago, since then Jake has been very open with you, always in need of a hug and consolidation, which you were happy to give. Although it was painful how often you’d have to remind yourself not to mix pleasure and business, you’re helping you’re olo’ektyan, he’s just worn out and exhausted. Surely tonight would help him, deeming the celebration would be in his favor, celebrating his successful raid with his party and no injuries or casualties were gained.

“I’ll see you tonight?” He asked,slowly releasing you from his grasp and looking up at you, you just looked down at him smiling and nodding softly. “Of course, just don’t expect me to be there early, i’ll be coming with Za’yukto” You said, slowly backing up ready to leave, jake quickly grabbed your hand as soon as you turned around.

“Who is that?” He asked, you turned to face him to see his demeanor quickly changed. His jaw had clenched and his grip on your hand was getting tighter by the second. “Just a friend of mine, he didn’t want to go alone so I volunteered to take him, just for a while” You said harmlessly, he tilted his head, looking at you up and down before responding. He opened his mouth just to slowly close is and take a deep breath, making direct eye contact with you. “Just… just don’t be too late okay? I’ll be waiting for you” He said softly, his ears lowering slightly as he let go of your hand.

“Of course, and if you ever get too bored you can talk to all of your other friends there” You joked, quickly getting your belongings and leaving shortly.

You looked pleasant, eye-catching, which was the exact look you were hoping for, hopefully you’d get someone to look at you during tonight’s celebration, or maybe a specific someone. “Y/N!! Are you here?” You stopped dead in your tracks quickly walking over to the entrance of your hut.

He smiled in response and complimented you, to which you thanked him and began making your way to the spirit tree for the celebration.

Soon after you two arrived, you quickly began to adjust your top, brush off your loincloth and hair, saying your goodbyes to Za’yu as you made your way to look for Jake, thankfully finding him quickly-

He’s with someone, you thought, seeing him off to the side laughing with a large drink in his hand, obviously being alcohol, of course stronger than any human substances and yet tasting even sweeter than anything you’ve ever had before. Seeing him happy like that did nothing more than make you smile a bit, he’s been stressed lately, he needs some sort of release. You quickly walk to the side getting closer to him just to see he’s doing more than just talking.

More than just laughing, and not with any someone, with a woman.

And he’s…. he’s kissing her? They’re kissing, they’re definitely kissing, and he’s not kissing just any woman, it’s the first na’vi you ever brought towards him to consider that he immediately rejected, simply telling you “There’s nothing special about her”.

You didn’t even bother making your way over to him, you’d already seen enough, feeling your face heat up out of sheer embarrassment and your eyes beginning to burn. On one swift motion you turn around to find Za’yu and to your surprise he already had a large cup waiting for you. You quickly grabbed it and chugged it down, your face immediately going from a sour look to more relaxed.

“Syeha si y/n!!” [Breathe y/n!!] Za’yu said, quickly taking the now empty cup from your hands as you just smiled at him. “I’m fine, come dance with me?” you asked, holding his hand. He just shook his head and placed the cups down on a table beside him, quickly taking you to the center of the dancefloor and began dancing with you in his arms.

This is a party, a place to let loose and celebrate, and that’s exactly what you planned on doing. You hooked your arms around Za’yu’s shoulders, pulling him a little closer, and looking at him intensely. You’d be lying if you said Za’yu wasn’t attractive, he was insanely attractive and overall perfect, everything a woman would look for in a man, he was skilled, intelligent, good looking, and strong? A complete package. Especially with the fact he’s such a gentleman, that’s what triggered your friendship so quickly.

He looked down at you, his hands traveling from your back to your waist, grinning at you. You slowly pushed yourself up against his body, feeling your beaded top clink against his broad chest. You slowly climb up on your tippy toes closer and closer to his face, as he too moves in closer, just for you to reach towards his ear and kiss it.

“Can you get me another drink please? I’m so thirsty” You ask him playfully, rubbing your 4 fingers against your throat slowly, licking your lips at him. He nodded and reached down to your collarbone, kissing it softly before leaving to get you a drink.

Soon after dancing by yourself you feel a hand rest on your stomach and trail down to your pelvis, holding you securely as your back rests on his back, you lift your head up quickly to see Za’yu, with your drink in his hand as he smiled down at you. You slowly got onto your tippy toes and kissed him, just to taste residue of alcohol that he previously consumed, smiling at the sweet taste, and taking the cup from his hands and quickly finishing it, dropping the cup and turning to face him, kissing him again.

Honestly at this state you’re wondering where jake was, if he was enjoying himself with his dick probably down that girls throat, but at the same time you were too fucked out and having way too much fun to care. Your shared kisses with Za’yu quickly became more intimate and more active, exchanging saliva and practically moaning into his mouth while still dancing, now slowly beginning to grind yourself onto him.

“Za’yu-“ You moaned softly against his lips, barely being able to catch your breath. “I know tìyawn, I know, mawepey” [I know love, I know, be patient] He said softly, his kisses trailing from your lips to your jawline and down to your neck, beginning to suck on you softly.

Of course it was none other than Ninat, whos throat Jake was previously shoving his tongue down. “Shouldn’t you be all on the olo’ektyan?” You muttered quietly, thankful no one heard you. Before listening to her pleads and apologies you simply just shoved past her, clinging onto Za’yukto tightly. “Don’t worry we’ll get you cleaned up, come on” He said.

Soon enough you both arrived to your hut , walking straight into the back of your hut and dragging him along, to which he quickly obliged. You stepped into the small pond behind your hut and began removing your strained top and loincloth, ushering him to do the same, which he quickly did.

“I’m going to clean you up first” He said, smiling down at you and grabbing a nearby rag to wipe any access alcohol off of you. He was gentle and caring, he only looked above your collarbone and refused to look lower, to make sure ‘you felt comfortable’ was his excuse, you found his caring and respectful nature cute though, knowing there were a lot of navi men out there who would not do the same. You just helped guide his hand to where he had to clean off until he kissed you again, letting his hands trail up from your waist to your soft breasts.

“Is this okay?” He asked softly, looking in your eyes for complete confirmation, to which you nodded and smiled in response. He let his fingers graze against your nipples a few times before toying with you, lowering his head before taking your left breast into his mouth, rolling his tongue onto your nipple, making you moan softly, quickly gripping onto the back of his hair softly. “That’s not the only place that needs attention, i’m still dirty elsewhere” You teased, he looked up at you repositioning himself, giving you a cocky look before answering.

Za’yu quickly took notice of this and how your expression changed. “Hey, what’s wrong what happened” He asked, now completely serious as you now grabbed onto his shoulder for support. “I feel a little sick” You managed to make out weakly, he quickly finished cleaning you off and immediately got you out of the small pond, drying you up and taking you inside to get you into something, but not before you threw up on the side of the mossy ground twice before crying.

“It hurts” You said, your voice hoarse and dry, which reminded Za’yukto to get you some water, he instructed for you to stay in your room and get dressed as he fetched you something to drink along with a small herb to help with the burning of your throat.

You quickly got changed, sitting patiently for Za’yu, and he soon came telling you to swallow one of your own handmade herbal medicine and a glass of water behind it, which you did. “You need to get some rest, you’ve had a long night” He said, placing his hand onto your shoulder, rubbing it softly and smiling at you. You didn’t respond, only placing the glass down and sprawling yourself against your bed, your back now facing Za’yu.

A moment of silence has passed, he hasn’t left and you haven’t fallen asleep yet, why is he still-

“I’ll stop by tomorrow to check up on you” He quickly stated, interrupting your thoughts, you don’t answer and he takes the silence as a sign you must be asleep, big mistake.

“Hopefully tonight didn’t change anything within our friendship, i’m not looking for a mate or to court anyone now, it was never my intention to move so quickly with you” He mumbled, but loud enough for you to hear, and shift in the bed as a response, you waited to hear the flap of your hut close before letting the tears in your eyes roll out over your nose and stain your bed.

This was going to be such a long night, and tomorrow morning even longer.

Okay so... I've finally started watching those new episodes of Doctor who. I mean I've seen 1st anniversary special and I kinda... hated it? Well, I did not love it at all and it blocked me.

Anyway, I went through with it and here are my thoughts. I would love to discuss it.

(spoiler alert for those who haven't seen it yet!):

First of all - I love 14th. I wanna hug him and never let go. But WHY ON EARTH in the subtitles is he called "Tenth" I have no idea.

Episodes were Okay. Simply Okay. 4/10 (Sorry but rules of storytelling exist for a reason, and those are rules not meant to be broken. It should be 2 but Donna makes it better <3 We love Donna in this house), 7/10 and 8/10 for Giggle, cuz it was creepy.

Second of all - I already love 15th. He really does give strong 9th vibes. God, I wanna see him lose this pretty facade. I wonder what would cause the Oncoming Storm to come out?

The Christmas episode was fun. I laughed so hard, so 8,5/10.

Then the new season feels... Rushed. I don't really know how to explain it. it is a feeling. There is almost no worldbuilding or situation-building, we just go from one thing to another and everything is said not shown much. There is no room to think. Mind you, I just finished 2nd episode so there is still some to watch but...

Space babies (S14E01) - in general, I guess, 6,5/10. It was okay, but the amount of "babies" and "space babies" in dialogue could be lowered. It was annoying after the first 15 minutes. I loved the idea of a bogeyman XD Brilliant. And the episode hit close to home in general vibe. BUT! Why does Ruby get a key after ONE adventure? It doesn't make sense to me at all... And I didn't like it. WHERE IS THE RELATIONSHIP building?

Devils Chord (S14E02) - 7/10. It was better. Maestro scared me a little, I liked their character. (We had here again the pronouns thing, but it felt more natural than in the anniversary one, so that's good). The musical part took me off guard, but it was cool. Also, I know there is some sort of mystery, but it is laid so thick it doesn't make me wanna find out about it at all. However, I don't really like Ruby. This was their second trip (there is nothing that would suggest they went somewhere else between space babies and this, at least to me) and she acts like she knows all about him? Those lines with "but you never do that", or that he always does something else. Girl, chill! Like how does she KNOW that? Again WHERE is getting to know each other? Where is the process?

I'm still giving her a chance since this is like her 3rd episode and she gave me a good impression in the Christmas one, but... I dunno, maybe I'm too old for this already.

Tidbits of ATSV That I Enjoyed (Or Alternatively: Just Miles Being The Most Endearing Spidey Ever)

Miles patting The Spot's head after successfully webbing him (I don't see this as condescending, but rather him still engaging with the humanity of a villain like Spot) and ~very assertively~ telling/asking him not to escape.

Now, I have found ANOTHER version (online) where her shouting is even more at the forefront. She's practically screaming and sounds more desperate, (prolly because it's close to the same way her Peter Parker died so she's reliving trauma) and the fear in her voice is palpable. That one haunts me.

So if extraction get an update(which I doubt will ever happen) I’ve been thinking of ideas on what operators could be proteans. Gameplay why of course. And I’ve found that our 5 proteans all are just improved versions of the enemies in game(Sledge-smasher, Finka-apex, vigil-lurker, etc) so to make a new boss would require a playable operator that shares similar abilities with a enemy so I give you 3 different operators that could theoretically be turned into bosses with this philosophy

1. Fuze-Breacher

Fuze’s cluster charges give off the most destructive effect in terms of explosives and area denial. Bleachers are one of 3 enemies that can break though reinforced walls but the red variant it’s certainly the most ‘explosive’ as they self destruct on you or when the large bulb on their back is shot. So a fuze boss would consist of of a shotgun and trying to run up to you and blow up in you face dealing loads of damage. The 2nd phase would add explosive projectiles that would be homing(similar to a tormentor’s charged attack) and phase through objects utilizing hitting an operator, a reinforced wall or being shot at in where it explodes where it’s shot, and when hitting a reinforced wall a hole would appear in the wall similar to a hard breach charge in r6s. The trick would to be using your reinforcements strategically to avoid those homing explosives and keep your distance from the boss while firing.

Extra notes: hibana would also be a good choice for being the boss as well

2. Gridlock-Rooter

Gridlock’s trax stingers are a throwable gadget that slows and damages enemies but takes time to activate and rooters are an enemy that attacks using spikes coming from the ground that immobilizes the target caught in its attack. So an enemy who can immobilize you then follow up by shooting you would make a terrifying boss fight(at least the first time you fight it) this boss would fire a lurker attack when it spots you trapping you in the spikes then attempts to fire at their traps target. It’s enhanced form would have lurker attacks start at this proteans feet and slowly spread out to where they attempt to find ‘prey’. Using smokes to block lines of sights from gridlock an attacking from behind from its front face carapace would be the optimal strategy and this would great for a glaz/warden type operator to see through smokes.

Extra notes: capitiao and nomad would be good choices to be the boss instead

3. Ela-Sower

So this last one’s a bit of a stretch but the sower deserves more attention than being a glorified bullet mag.

Ela’s grizmot mines that stun enemies is what I consider the closest gadget to the sowers mines that flash you. This boss would definitely be the most annoying to fight as it will always try to run away to set its blinding mines and claymores(it would do about 25-50 damage and can down) only in its 3rd phase would it actually engage with the scorpion smg as it sets the blinding mines automatically. Having someone on mine clearing duty while the other 2 chance ela down would be the best strategy.

Extra notes: Iq and Zofia would be considered good operators to chose to beat this boss

Other ideas I have are Tachanka-spiker and doc-feral grunt/revived archaeans. But feel free to add feedback and ideas on what kind of proteans you’d like to see in extraction!

An extremely personal ranking based on both character and route. (IkeVamp)

1st place Shakespeare

Sad villain + who wears 'mask' to hide his inner self. The only route I was never bored with and the route that MC is best written. MC wasn't stupid here, she was determined and overall depicted okay. And above all, his narrative was convincing and the romance was smooth, and there was no "sudden bland villain" that was used so much in previous routes.

2nd place Vlad

Sad villain + innocent... freak? LI who is involved with MC in the past, plus he've been waiting for MC for a long time? I love that trope. Already a passing mark for me. And among the pureblood vampire routes, this is the only one that wasn't about "how tragic the immortal life that has to keep watching human death" which was refreshing. Sadly, MC wasn't that great.

3rd place Dazai (tie)

Eccentric but sad guy. He and MC build real nice emotional bond and his narrative was interesting yet sad. I think MC was pretty decent as well. Didn't have much expectation in this route but turned out to be surprisingly good. Made me curious about Charles too.

3rd place Arthur (tie)

Playboy. Thought he was just a girl-loving casanova, but he turned out to have a deep side. Nicely unraveled story. Both his narrative and story was interesting and well written. The chemistry between MC and him was fun. But the villain was a bit too sudden and unconvincing. Everything was fine except that.

4th place Mozart

Kuudere + tsundere. He's like a cat; chic but cute. The chemistry between MC and him was good. Historical facts and his narratives were properly mixed, and the villain was bland, but among the "bland villains", at least this one had his own proper reason. The only downside was that the MC was too dull and clueless.

5th place Isaac

Tsundere. He's really kind-hearted, but he's hit by people so hard that he puts up a wall from others. Wanted to pat him. I liked the process of MC breaking down his iron wall. Overall story was decent and villain narrative was the best(?) among the "bland villains".

6th place Leonardo

He as a character was really attractive and nice, but it's more like a story of a pureblood vampire than a story of a historical figure. The chemistry between MC and him was good. The route where the most random and ridiculous villain appeared.

7th place Napoleon

He was plain and so was MC. Nothing in particular was memorable, but the chemistry between MC and him was good. The villain was just... not understandable at all, like in many routes.

8th place Jean

Both him and MC weren't bad. But honestly, nothing was really memorable besides that I thought 'MC doesn't know how the ugly duckling story ends?'... and I think his friend aka villain was more helpful than MC for his trauma recovery.

9th place Theodorus

The story wasn't that bad. But here are the minus points: him calling MC a dog, MC who's always kinda dragged around by him, and ridiculously unconvincing villain story. So many minus points for me.

10th place Vincent

A fantastic three combo with a dull LI and a dull MC and a boring story that made me yawn. And romance is a bit awkward. I mean, MC and him being good friends is acceptable. But romance... well? I don't think their relationship was enough to develop into a romance. I was more interested in Shakespeare here.

11th place Sebastian

Wasn't particularly disappointed because I didn't have high expectations in the first place, and I didn't feel anything after finishing it. MC and him are best as good friends. And the story flow was very, very unnatural. Faust was a real fresh air and the Deus ex Machina here.

12th place Saint-Germain

Him being indecisive and MC being the stupidest ever, pureblood vampire trope recycled from Leo's, zero chemistry between MC and him, unnatural romance. I was really looking forward to his route, but after finishing it was dragged down to the very bottom in my heart. Vlad was way more attractive.

13th place Faust

Dropped. Is he even an LI? How can you romance someone who kidnapped, locked you up and calls you an experiment subject if it's not a Stockholm syndrome???

Curious, but never tried (kinda fed up with the game itself because of that some guy at the 13th place) Definitely will check out his route someday.

My experience is kinda funny!

My friend mentioned being ace, assuming I already knew I was back a bit before covid.

Incoming long post and a tiny bit of tmi for me.

I, a Christian girl in a small town who had barely any friends and also wasn't on the internet proper yet, had absolutely no idea what that was.

Eventually I found my way into learning all about it and my heart soared.

It took about a year for my family to really accept my identity. They mostly worried it would take over my life and that I wouldn't feel like I could change later on if I set my sexuality in stone. But now my family is on board. (I'll explain that in a minute. )

Now as for how I came to be like this?

I've always known I didn't want to do the same things as my peers did. Undiagnosed adhd until 2nd grade and autism in 6th explained some of it. But not all of it.

I was in 3rd grade when I discovered what adoption was via A Series Of Unfortunate Events. That series got me to love reading, and sparked my early interest in darker writing. Also taught me tons of words that some people are still as an adult surprised I know.

I declared I would adopt tons of children at that age. In fact I daydreamed about buying an entire orphanage and being the best mom in the world. I thought about all those kids who needed a home and I wanted to help. I also loved Meet the Robinsons and it made me want to adopt even more.

My parents gave me the sex talk. They didn't do whatever the birds amd bees is, I still have no idea what that is even now. They didn't go into a ton of detail obviously, I was like 10-12 I can't remember exactly. But they explained the "girl parts" and "boy parts" fit together to make a baby. (I learned the rest when I was a little older)

I thought it was gross. The idea of anyone's parts going in me made me feel kinda sick. It solidified my stance on adoption. I didn't want to have sex. I wanted to adopt kids because I didn't want to have them. But I did want to be a mother.

Growing up it was often chalked up to me not having hit puberty yet, me being young, and that I'd grow out of the adoption thing once I was a teenager.

It didn't. In fact once I hit puberty I wanted to have kids even less. My parts work, and feelings are feelings. I get horny, and I hate it because I don't want to have sex.

(Unfortunately for me, maybe tmi but I have bigger and longer labia, those protect the area but also have a lot of nerve endings. This leads to a lot of accidental stimulation and overstimulation from literally sitting on a hard chair. I can get sore riding bikes like the old newspapers claimed would happen to normal women. Pair that with autism, it's not fun.)

But the truth was I wanted to have sex less and less as I learned more and got more of a picture of how it works. The idea makes me feel bad. I don't want to look at a dick, ever. (I'm aware this may need compromise once I'm married. But I won't be having penatraitive sex even then. It limits my options by a lot but, I have plenty of time to find love)

Circling back I often made up crushes so people would stop asking me. I told other kids I had a crush on Einstein because he was dead so no one could tell him. I picked a random boy in 4th grade and forced myself to pretend I had a crush on him. I didn't really ever talk to him, but he was smart in my math class and he didn't make fun of me so I figured that would work. The closest to crushes over had were always on fictional characters, people who I couldn't upset or hurt or meet.

I never understood crushes. I do feel romantic love, in fact I've dreamt about falling in love for a long time. I experience aesthetic attraction, but the feeling I feel towards pretty humans is the same I feel towards a pretty painting. I recognize the beauty and then move on. Clothing stands out more to me than looks. This isn't meant to be a 'other people are shallow' thing. I do wish I understood how others felt like that. It looks fun. Now some of this is likely me being autistic as well.

Anyways. Once I learned I was ace, and accepted that for myself, things got easier on me. I felt so good to have a label for this.

Especially in high school. I finally had a fast way to let people know that I don't want to hook up. Not that anyone asked. I'm happy with how I look but I'm hoping I grow more into my mother's beauty because face wise I'm nothing special. (I've uh actually been complemented about my figure a few times though and that makes me very happy) I'm happy with how I look, but I know I don't turn any heads.

A few months ago my mom admitted something to me. She was actually relieved to learn I wasn't going to have kids.

My family has a ton of genetic health problems going up to 5 generations back on both sides. No, not because of weird interfamily relationships, because of unlucky genetic carriers and just plain bad luck. My dad has a degenerative condition, and my mother's side has had a variety of heart problems going back generations. Bad heart problems. My mom has hip displaisa, a partially fused spine, Hashimotos, allergies to nightshades, penicillin, mold, blood pressure problems, chronic migranes, chronic hip problems, and more. She has to take at least 7 pills daily, and none of them are pain meds.

All three of her children had to be delivered via C-section. I was born almost 3 1/2 months early. Turns out it was Preclampsia. That probably contributed to me being born with autism. Mom has never made it to full term with a child. If she had tried both of us would've died.

She said she's worried about what might happen to any children her kids might have. Especially the women in the family because (kinda obvious) that's where most of the genetic problems are coming through. Her mom had heart problems, her grandmother had heart problems, her great grandmother, and possibly farther but my mom's side didn't keep good track of the family tree. So she worries more about her daughters in that regard.

She says she looked into the Bible and also saw that God calls some to lives of celibacy. Which technically would be me. I plan to die a "Virgin".

She knows how much I want to be a mom, and she's supportive of me adopting one day. My dad doesn't talk about it but he's not against it anymore.

It was really nice to know she worried about that because I've been worrying about what might happen if I ever tried to have kids of my own for years. I always knew my parents had health problems. And from as young as 8 years old I worried about my baby getting really sick if I had one. I didn't want to have a baby but I still worried that if I did they'd get super sick.

I've always lived my life with the intention to adopt children from the time I learned about it. And when I learned how expensive it is, I adjusted and planned on making more money to afford the fees.

When I learned I was asexual it made me so much happier.

And it also made it easier to engage with kink content. There is plenty of kink that doesn't involve the private parts which is fun! Sorry if that's also tmi.

So... yeah! That's my story. Or some of it.

Irene Fray's Wordthings 2023 (And 2022)

I started writing Ruinous Hearts in early 2022 with the promise to leave everything I write available for free somewhere on the internet. (Currently that home is Scribblehub under the username IreneFray)

After seeing another beloved story of mine report on their word count for the year, I wanted to take a step back and see what my output was.

I ended up gushing, so I'll keep the details below the page break for those of you into having a trans girl hyperfixate to you about her passion. <3

2022: 56,437 words for Ruinous Hearts.

2023: 143,413 between Weight of Broken Promise and Deluded Hearts: Inheritance.

It's been a hard year, but I'm really fucking proud of those numbers. So many of those days in 2023 after I burnt out were 50-100 word writing days. (Those are valid and they add up!)

2022

Ruinous Hearts hit a total published word count of 58,667 words, with only the last 2,230 word chapter coming out on January of 2023.

56,437 words in my first year of writing feels pretty good. I still remember how good it felt to put those emotions into words and discover so much more about myself than just exploring my gender.

2023

2,230 words of RH's 19th Chapter - Something that can never Be.

This... chapter released with a feeling that I no longer knew how to tell my own truth and by extension, was letting Verity down.

Weight of Broken Promises by extension had so many false starts.

But on April of 2023 Royal Road, the site I was reading a lot of fiction on, namely Thundamoo's Vigor Mortis and Siilver Lining's Edge Cases, (both of which you should absolutely read.) announced a Writathon.

So I started a clean slate. And for the next grueling month I managed to almost effortlessly keep pace with the daily word count needed to hit the goal of 55,555 words (Almost the entirety of Ruinous Hearts!!!) within one month.

Needless to say I felt fucking invincible there for a while.

But that kind of writing takes a toll.

Weight of Broken Promises hit a word count of 88,920 before I burnt out. But I never stopped working a full time job, even if I have slowly reigned in how much overtime I've worked. That it is as good as it is still feels like a miracle given the span of time that it was written within.

For the last six months I let myself write as much or as little as I felt like. This time focusing on the parts of Ruinous Hearts that never stopped living rent free in my head.

So while I have kept Deluded Hearts: Inheritance close to my chest with intent to only release completed books, I can only give you Google Drive's word count.

It is currently at 52,263 words. (Even if a lot of this is notes, outlines, and rather raw. That I still wrote all of this in the latter half of this year is wild to me.)

Adding my 2nd and 3rd stories with that last chapter of Ruinous Hearts published in January all together?

143,413 words is so much more than I thought I would ever be capable of despite working a full time job that is causing a visible drain on me.

I'm still not making more than spare change off this passion of mine despite how much it means to me. But that has come secondary to really exploring myself and connecting with new friends + girlthings whom I love and adore and cherish and occasionally nibble on.

And I'm not even counting a little collab project that started earlier this year and my headmates pushing out full chapters of writing projects I haven't committed to.

Or that time one of my newest partners recommended I record a journal of my time with Fear and Hunger 2 Termina, which I treated as a Death Game Diary in order to justify the looping of the game and growing my knowledge of how to play. This is frankly one of the small side projects I am MOST PROUD OF but I'm waiting for a new update and another playthrough on the rumored harder difficulty before I share the Let's Journal.

I want to share the picture proof of that Let's Journal, but it has serious spoilers. So! This is where I sign off.

I never expected it to become all that it has.

But I'm so glad it has. Writing is how I found the people that mean the world to me. I literally come alive and out of funks in order to write.

Imma try and answer all the questions amigo, however I'm writing this in 2 in the morning with a sh*t ton of adrenaline from the fact that you asked (I'm gonna have a heart attack oh lord) so do forgive me if I missed one-

Stages

So the sickness which I took for this au is Rabies! Which I think a lot if you might know what it is. Ofcourse, this is a more messed up type of rabbies. There's only 3 stages since the person transforms quickly(in a 1 day). 1st stage: after the pony gets bit by a subject with rabbies they start feeling weak, tired and nauseous. They also all of a sudden get scared of water 2nd stage: the ponies body starts to hurt, usually specific body parts feel the most pain (for example with fluttershy its her front hooves), which then start to get longer, stretching. 3rd stage the ponies body becomes disfigured, they become extremely aggressive and blood-thirsty, foam will start pouring out of their mouth and completely forget who they were before.

How did it begin?

Some chemist pony probably tried to find a cure for different types of sickness in the mlp world but instead made a potion for the missed up rabbies. He tested on some animals and one of them escaped. The animal got to fluttershy(because she's always with animals so she shall be the first victim) and bit her. The infection would continue on with twilight who wanted to go check up on her but instead got attacked.

I'm not a writer so hard pass on the story. Comic would LOVE to do that, however I'm not used to drawing ponies like, at all, So it takes me a really long time to get the look right(especially with all the different angles of the head, yikes). Currently going through a bit of a hiatus writing wise and a lot of times I just. Think about permanently giving up a lot lol It’s coming up 2-2.5 years now but writing has not only been hard but I have barely published anything and scrounging up enough to write even 100 words can be so much. I have lots of thoughts and ideas but even just thinking about them to try to put it to pen and paper is just…a lot.

It’s not the first time I’ve had a writing hiatus, I had a 10 year one before (which sounds like a lot but I literally started writing back in elementary school, for some context lol) and while a lot happened during that time, I never thought I would get back to writing again. Something did eventually and I got back but I’ve been having periodic moments on and off since 2016, but never as long as this. (Usually only for a few months)

There is a lot that makes me wanna give up, but I try to give myself the room just NOT to actually do it. To do any writing or thinking on it or whatever. What keeps the idea going is that one day I’ll want to get back to it and I won’t have all this pain and fear and other negative stuff attached to it when I do, even if it really does take years to come back. It’s never really permanent no matter how my brain likes to fool me lol

🍭 why did you start writing? Originally it was an assignment a teacher gave me back in second? grade lol but eventually I just had too much fun getting the words out. (There’s some notebook out there with past me’s 100 chapter story lmao granted this was back in 2nd-3rd grade so who knows how good it is or how long those chapters are 😂)

And because I also had a lot of thinky thoughts back then, I also thought writing down my thoughts, feelings, and things like that were important and why I’ve basically journaled like 90% of my life handwritten. Haven’t really stopped, and when I got into writing fic it was just like “oh I can imagine scenarios with characters I like???”

💎 why is writing important to you? At this point, I’ve done writing practically my entire life, and it’s an important part of who I am. But also being able to journal and write down thoughts and feelings has been good and therapeutic to me but also this tangible thing to be like, I’m here, I existed, that was important enough. Being able to express myself and get all these feelings out and connect through word is indescribable how much it’s worth is to me.

🤲 what do YOU get out of writing? I guess this is a bit tied to the other questions but I get a lot. Like yeah, a snapshot of how I feel, or able to process emotions I was feeling, but also being able to have a voice — especially when I’m feeling like I don’t have one or I’m being silenced (however temporarily). But with with writing poetry or songs or stories, there’s something there at the end of it and it’s like I did that, that’s me! And maybe I got enjoyment or whatever in the process. But it’s fun seeing how people react and connect to the thing I did.

NUMBER TEN: FOREVER 1- GIRL’S GENERATION

 This song feels like a wish come true. It’s not the most complex or interesting song out there, but it deserves its spot on this list just for the fact that we got a full group comeback from the one and only SNSD in the year of the goddess Hylia 2022.  I love the vibes of it, it puts me in a great mood, and that’s enough for it to be on here

 NUMBER NINE: VENOM- STRAY KIDS

 All I need to say to justify this one is… pewpewpew

 But seriously, this song’s beat is so SKZ that it’s INSANE. Like disgustingly addictive, springy sound that perfectly encapsulates the feel of a spider’s legs. It’s so fucking *chef’s kiss*. Of all the songs on the Oddinary album, this one really tickles my brain just the right way. However, there is one other song on the album that works just a tiny bit better…

 NUMBER EIGHT: MANIAC- STRAY KIDS

 And that’s Maniac.  All the disparate pieces of this song coalesce in a way that is just so perfect. I’ve always loved the way SKZ utilizes Felix’s unique voice, and the chorus of Maniac is the perfect example of that. It’s an absolute bop, and the superior track on an album with no skips

 NUMBER SEVEN: OPENING SEQUENCE- TXT

 I love TXT. I love everything about them so much. But what I didn’t love, was Good Boy Gone Bad. It pained me to admit that when the track dropped, so imagine my delight when I started listening to the album and I heard this absolute gem.  I love the atmosphere of this song so much, and TXT is incredibly skilled at capturing feelings of discomfort and desolation in their music, and those feelings fit the lyrical content perfectly

 NUMBER SIX: I HATE YOU- WOODZ

 The pop punk trend in kpop is one of the best things to happen to the genre in years, and in my opinion, there’s no one better suited to capture it than Woodz.  In the past I’ve described Woodz as something of a musical chameleon; able to tackle any genre and absolutely kill it.  He captures the carefree “fuck you” vibes of early 2000s pop punk effortlessly, and I’d love to hear more of this sound from him in the future

 NUMBER FIVE: 28 REASONS- SEULGI

 Seulgi as a dark, sensual, domineering badass? Yes. Very yes.

 Jokes aside, Seulgi absolutely murdered this concept both visually and musically.  I’m not sure if it was meant to be a throwback, but it definitely reminds me of something Aaliyah would’ve released in the late 90s. This was a strong solo debut for one of kpop’s most high profile aces, and I really can’t wait to see what she’ll do next

  NUMBER FOUR: CYBERPUNK- ATEEZ

 This song is why I love ATEEZ as much as I do. This shit hits you like a wall of unstoppable sound the moment the chorus kicks off, and it’s the type of sonic euphoria that I’ve been desperately missing with 4th gen groups. It’s no secret that this generation has pivoted more towards choreography and elaborate concepts, and away from killer vocals like 2nd and 3rd gen.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing mind you, but ATEEZ proves why having killer vocals is such an asset.  I love every second of this one start to finish, and uh… let’s just say those concert stages were iconic *wink wink*

 NUMBER THREE: TIME LAPSE- NCT 127

 I mean it when I say that the 2 Baddies album might be NCT 127’s best one yet.  Almost every song is phenomenal, but none more so than Time Lapse.  I love the attention to detail; the computerized/digitized sounds at the beginning, and the old Hollywood style music sting at the end really tie in well with the concept of ‘time’, and the fucking CHORUS. Every czennie has been bumping “can we fix it?!” for MONTHS.  It was hard for me to pick a single song from this album, but after some thought, I knew it just had to be this one

 NUMBER TWO: BEGIN- ONLYONEOF’S YOOJUNG

 OnlyOneOf’s “UndergrOund IdOl” project has been one of the best things to ever happen in the history of kpop.  What really endears me to it is not just its unflinching depictions of explicit queerness (no teasing or implication here) but also the fact that the music is ACTUALLY GOOD.  Not gonna say any names (not looking to insult people here) but we shouldn’t have to sacrifice musical quality just to have some queer rep in the industry.  Of all the releases so far though, I think the one that kicked it off is still the best.  There’s just something magical about Begin; I’m not sure if its his delivery of the lyrics, the mellow energy of the track that builds to a satisfying climax, or just the relatability of the single line “hate this city” as a queer person.  Whatever it is makes Begin such a perfect song, and so far its yet to be topped by the rest of the series in my opinion

 Yeah, if you know me, this is no surprise.  I’ve been a Villain since Happy Death Day, and this band just keeps getting better and better with every release.  I love their unique sound and their insane vocals are truly showcased on this track. The moment I heard this one, I knew it was gonna be my number one song of the year and as the months passed, nothing quite managed to dethrone it.  I can not fucking wait to see how the guys evolve as time goes on

*cardigan imo is connected all the way back to debut. I think that is her literal invisible string she is giving to the fans to have a more meaningful way to connect to her songs. The cardigan could be symbolized as a cloak if you are following the witch rumors. It could be seen as a cape and that it gives her super powers. She wore it on screen for us to see so she wanted you to know it was more than a song to her, it meant something deep enough that she had to create something just to remember the song itself. But what if you were famous wouldn’t you start to create maybe another version that only a select version know, if you learn to live a story line for your career wouldn’t it be just as easy to do it for your personal life? Midnight Gaming: If a vampire comes along, You must whip it!

So last night I played Castlevania on NES and Super Castlevania past midnight, checked socials later to find.... Ghost in the shell japanese voice actress Atsuko Tanaka passed away.... aw.

So Ghost in the shell is a pretty, pretty big deal, given its a contributing factor to a lot of the cyberpunk genres notable features as well as projects such as the matrix. The original 1995 film blew the minds of audiences that year and showed what adult animation could accomplish.

Well, the voice actress for the main character was confirmed to have passed away at the age of 61, a woman by the name Atsuko Tanaka. Kindest regards are given to her family on what is a sad day.

Bit of a bummer way to start a post huh? Well that cant be helped I suppose. If you havnt looked into the Gits series, maybe consider giving a look.

So Konami has a pretty bad reputation nowadays, since they've ended up ostracising one of their most notable and well respected developers for... reasons Im not entirely sure, and burning the bridge on gaming to focus on gambling machines, only to start to come crawling back. I wonder about the management of that company and what led them to make such awful decisions. I suppose the release of the castlevania and contra retro bundles and the upcoming silent hill 2 remake looking like it may be good is starting to change some minds but I do hope people never forget the shit they pulled.

So Castlevania? On NES? Generally regarded as a classic on the system and there were times were I've played a bit here or there but never got further than the 2nd stage. I decided for last night, i'd try to beat it without using save states and try to beat it legit. I got to the 3rd stage before I decided to abandon that. Castlevania is hard, of course it was, a lot of games back then were hard. And some folks may try to chime in saying that "gamers" back then were a different breed and had skill.

Thats a fucking lie and I hope enough time has passed that we as a society admit that. It was never about skill, it was memorization, going through sections of a game repeatedly until you learn where all the enemies spawn, where the best items are and whats the best route to take until you're able to complete a game without dying once.

And this was possible because you had more time to dedicate towards beating a game as child, along with having not many games to play at the time. Being an adult with more responsibilities along with a wider selection of games to choose from, means you're not gonna spend a lot of time learning one game. I sure as hell cant, even with save states.

Since the game was on NES, you only had two buttons and a dpad. So naturally you can only whip left and right with using items requiring you to hold up and pressing b. The game does demand some precision since a good number of enemies in the game tend to be small like the medusa heads, ravens and the hunchbacks. Those bastards were an absolute pain to deal with, especially since the whip has a slight delay in the attack animation. It doesnt come out immediately, belmont does a wind up first then a whip so if a projectile was coming towards and you whip too late, you'll get hit before you whip and you'll feel like a twit.

I made it to Dracula phase one before I just gave up, I didnt feel like banging my head against that wall tonight. Since it was yet midnight at that point I decided to switch to Super Castlevania from the SNES, A game I first played on the wii through Virtual Console. And man, Super Castlevania just feels so much nicer to play.

A main arguement for why older games were difficult was due to the rental market. If you rented a game and beaten it, you werent likely to buy it which does mean less revenue for the publisher. And games were fairly short to complete if you knew how to beat them so upping the difficulty seemed like a nobrainer way to pad the length. But overtime games got bigger, stories more grander and worlds more expansive. So I guess overtime that necessity was being used less and less overtime, as developers were able to build bigger and bigger games. Atleast thats what I think.

But Super Castlevania just feels a lot nicer to play for two big reasons. One being that the difficulty was toned down a bit and feels a bit more fair. Before, you had to know where turkey legs were hidden to recover health from your mistakes but here, you can also get a small chicken leg either from a candle or dropped from an enemy to recover a small bit of health. Less than the wall turkey but still health recovery nonetheless and therefore, a bit more allowance for mistakes. Still has its challenge though especially in the platforming but there were less occasions were I felt it was bullshit.

Second is that it controls way, way better since you can whip in 8 directions. EIGHT. Left, right, straight up, diagonally up on left or right, you can even jump and whip down. And if you held the button down, you can keep the whip out and twirl it. Lil noodle. Lil vampire killer noodle.

Items in both games are useful and becomes situational in some cases. The crosses and stopwatch were essential to get through a lot of sections in NES were in Super, I just stuck with the crosses especially since I have the upgrades for them. On the subject of items, it becomes another challenge just to keep an item you wanted. If you end up dying, you lost that item and if you got it before a checkpoint, you aint getting it back unless you game over. And if not that, its when you whip a candle and another item drops, you'd need to be careful not too stand too close to a candle and wait for the item to despawn before you go foward.

I stopped Super when I was at the clocktower because it was already past midnight and I didnt want to spend more time up just to finish it but I atleast feeling pretty pleased. I didnt feel that way when I dropped Castlevania on NES.

One final note before I wrap it up, the Castlevania retro collection I have on switch has a number of the classic games before Symphony of the Night, the nest trilogy, Super castlevania, the genesis game and the Game boy ones. The game boy being regarded as not being too great The sames one that got remakes on the Wii through wiiware but never got ported anywhere else, not even for this collection. You know what you got instead? Kid Dracula... Kid Fucking Dracula......... Konami is Konami I suppose....
