Movie! Shadow x gn! Reader

Word count: 3,5K

Synopsis: You find Shadow after he crashed down to earth (again)

(A/n): ‼️Spoilers for Sonic 3 and the first after credits scene‼️

──────────── ⋆⋅ ♰ ⋅⋆ ──────────────

"The Wheel Of Fortune...The High Priestess...and The Lovers!" A hand flips around three tarot cards, naming each one. "Follow your intuition and you will meet your fated one!".

A (animal) mobian lets out an amused sigh, leaning on their hand. "Rosy, you've been giving me readings since you discovered it and each time I get the same fortune".

Amy smiles, placing her hands on the table. "That means it is definitely true!" She exclaims, excitedly. She gathers her cards back into the pile and picks three from them. "Alright...The Chariot...The Sun and...The Lovers! Yes!".

"So you have to go out and find the one?" (Y/n) guesses, having a bit of knowledge of it because of their friend. They watch the pink Hedgehog do a victory dance.

"What do you think fits me the best" Amy strolls over to her closet. She places a green hairband on her head, turning to (Y/n). "It matches my eyes, but I'm not sure" She tosses it off when she sees her friend shaking their head.

"Black? Not my style. Pink? Blends too much with my quills. Orange? Clashes too much. Blue?" She places a blue hairband on her head, adjusting it to be comfortable.

(Y/n) gets up and walks up to the Hedgehog. They gently remove the hairband from her. "Baby blue is not your color, maybe a brighter blue. But I think red fits you the best" They suggest.

"You're saying that because you love red" Amy takes the band from their hands and placing it on their head. "I think it suits you more".

"Thanks Rosy" (Y/n) smiles, brushing their hands against the headband.

"No problem!" The girl replies, placing a red head on her own head. "Now let's go find them" She turns to the empty pinboard, tapping her bottom lip. "Now to pin down their location" she tapes a drawing of planets in the board and throws a dart at it. It lands on a round blue and green planet.

(Y/n) walks over and looks at the small text underneath the planet. "Eeth? Uth? Ert...Earth Earth, like dirt?" They read outloud. "It looks pretty big, it's possibly gonna take ages when you finally find him".

"I am also prepared for that" Amy removes the drawing and places a map of earth. She throws another dart, almost hitting (Y/n)'s head. It lands on a big piece of land on the left side, in bold letters it says "UNITED STATES".

Immediately, Amy speeds around the room. She stuffs clothes, toothbrush, hairbrush, her harmer into a suitcase. She stood on it, trying to make it fit.

"Amy, Amy, hold on" (Y/n) places their hand on her shoulder. "You can't just rush to a planet you don't even know to find the one and how are you supposed to know it's them. Remember last time you went off, I had to go get you and bandage you up"

Amy seemed to deflate at (Y/n)'s argument, her smiles turns to a pout. She turns to her friend, giving them puppy eyes. Her puppy eyes were quite effective, challenging Cream's ones.

Giving in, (Y/n) sighs. "How about this: I go to Earth and see if it is safe for you to travel there" They offer, just wanting the best for their friend.

"Thank you, thank you!" The pink mobian exclaims, hugging the (animal). She was extremely grateful they would do this for her.

˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

"Already traveling to other planets, They're growing up so fast" Vector wipes his tears with a hankerchief, blowing his nose with it.

"They aren't that much younger than you" Espio calls him out. He turns to (Y/n) "Be careful".

Amy, along with their other friends stand next to eachother. They bid the (animal) goodbye, the mobians know they will be gone for a while, so they want to give a well made goodbye.

"You beter bring me a souvenir back!" Charmy requests, pulling at (Y/n)'s arm. He was pulled off by Vector, who was still crying.

Vanilla approaches the (f/c) (animal), placing a container in their hands. "I made some cake for the journey, I hope you will enjoy it" The two hug, before letting go.

Out of nowhere, (Y/n) feels something clinging to their leg. Looking down, they were met with Cream. She looked like she was about to cry, making (Y/n)'s heart melt. "You're gonna come back, right?"

The teen mobian smiles, patting the small rabbit's head. "Ofcourse, I promise" They nod. They walk to the spaceship as Cream lets go. (Y/n) gives a final wave, before stepping inside.

˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

The ship flies down, crashing in the woods. The door was the ship creaks open. Come out crawling was (Y/n), letting out little grunts of pain. They push themself up, grabbing their bag and putting it onto their bag. "So this is earth, quite tall trees they have here".

They travel through the forrest, trying to find a good place to set up camp. Soon, find a small cave, big enough to sleep and leave her stuff. As they put down their back, they hear a tapping sound. They turn to the entrance, finding water fall from the sky. "Water?" Slowly, they walk over to the edge of the cave, holding out their hand. They feel the droplets fall onto their palm "Woah, so beautiful".

˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

After countless journeys, the cave resembled more like a home. In the back sat a bed with a pillow and two blankets. At the side stood a wobbly table with a flower pot on it, a framed picture next to it of them and Amy. And finally hanging around were fairy lights they found in a trashcan.

(Y/n) sat ontop, living their legs back and forth. Their (e/c) eyes latch onto something what they assume is a comet flying across the midnight sky. It crashes down not too far away from the (animal)'s hideout.

They jump down, before rushing over where it landed. Pushing aside leaves of the trees, they gaze as the mysterious object from the sky. Light flickers from a crater, before it dims completely. They peek over to see what it was and...

"A hedgehog?"

A hedgehog with black and red quills, a patch of white fur on his chest. He was wearing white black and red gloves and shoes. Laying next to him were two slightly burned golden bracelets and a big green emerald.

Carefully, (Y/n) wraps the gem from the ground. They tense up as their feel a weird ticklish and prickly feeling go through her veins. "Woah" They mutter. They turns back to look at the hedgehog, finding that he was wounded.

They stuff the emerald and rings in their bag. Putting an arm under his knees and his back, struggling to hold him up. "Is he the one Amy is looking for?" They think outloud, walking back to their cave with the hedgehog in their arms.

Once they arrived, they lay the stranger on their bed pulling first aid kit from under the unstable table. They sit down on the mattress next to the hedgehog, taking a roll of bandage. They lift his head with one hand and wrapping his head with their other one. They continue with his other wounds, being as careful as they could be.

Not having much else to do, they lay the pillow and one of the blankets on the floor next to the bed. They lay down, pulling the blanket over their body. With that, they close their eyes and let their consciousness fade away.

˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

Shadow's eye began to open, finding himself staring at rocks above him. He lets out a grunt of pain, feeling his head stinging. He tries to remember what happened, but his mind was left foggy.

"Oh, you're awake, that's good to see. I am surprised you're bot out longer, by the fact you literally crashed to earth"

A voice chirps, a sweet one. He turns his head, seeing a figure standing next to the bed he was one. They were slightly blurry as his red eyes still try to readjust to the bright light behind them. What he was able to make out was a a light blue headband resting on the person's head. "Maria..?" He groans.

"(Y/n), actually" The person corrects, with a soft smile. "(Y/n) the (animal). Nice to meet you. You got a name, stranger?" Their voice echoes through his mind, like a broken record.

"Maria, what happene–" He sits and gets up from the bed. He stumbles, almost falling over. Luckily, (Y/n) catched him before he could. He gazes down, finding part of arms bandaged up.

Carefully, (Y/n) pushes him back on the bed. "You shouldn't go walking off yet. Just because you're up early doesn't mean you get go dancing around like that. Please, just go rest" They suggest to the hedgehog. His behavior reminded them of Amy, how stubborn she always was after getting injured.

Shadow looks over to a barely stable table on the left. A picture frame, a flower pot and a big green emera– "Ah!" Shadow cries, gripping his head. Images flashes across his mind: Gerald Robotnik, a younger looking version of the doctor, blue, red, yellow and finally an explosion.

The (f/c) mobian frowns, pitying the Stranger. He has probably been through a lot, ofcourse be doesn't own them his story. "If you some quiet, I'll let you be" They propose, letting out a little sigh. They turn around, ready to leave the cave. They were stopped by the hedgehog grabbing their hand.

"I want you just stay, my head feels more at ease when you're near" He mumbles, avoiding their eyes. He feels them sitting down next to him, he had to stop himself from leaning into them. He wondered what the loose ties in his mind meant., trying to follow them made him want to scratch his own skin off.

"Can I finally know your name. I know I don't owe it, but I can't just call you 'hedgehog'" (Y/n) mentions, turning to the other.

"But you already know it, M–" Shadow shakes his head, responding with "My name is Shadow". He looks down at his gloves, finding something missing. "Where are my limiters?" He questions with urgency in his voice.(Y/n) reaches into her bag and takes the two golden rings from. "These one?" They ask, holding them for him to grab.

Snatching the slightly burned bracelets from their hands, Shadow snaps them around his wrists. He lets out a huff of relief as his finger trace the rim of it.

"It's nice to put a name to the face. I must say I quite like your eyes, they remind me of jaspers" (Y/n) compliments, glancing at the emerald and then back at the hedgehog's eyes.

Shadow pauses, before speaking up. "Your eyes are nice aswell, I suppose. They look like..." He trails off, realising he didn't know much gems. "They feel comforting" He mutters under his breath, just loud enough for (Y/n) to hear.

They didn't say anything, just kept staring. They noticed he was a bit cold and hesitant, but they didn't mind. It was the best to wait until he was ready to tell them what happened before he crashed into the woods.

˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

Sigh

Tap tap tap

The sound of footsteps makes (Y/n) stir awake. They sit up, looking over to see Shadow standing the entrance of the cave, holding onto rock for stability. They notice he was just staring up at the sky, muttering something to himself.

Getting up, they quietly walk over to him. They hear him let out a hum, acknowledging their presence. "The stars shine so brightly. Usually not a lot of people see them, by the time they appear, everyone is sound asleep" Shadow mummers, not taking his eyes off of a particular star. "You're not Maria, I see that now. My mind was so fragmented, it merged my old memories with my vision"

"So that is why you called me that" (Y/n) concludes, thinking back to all the times he called her that name. "Are you finally going to tell me what happened to you? now that you got your memories back" They ask.

"My name is Shadow, project shadow. I was found in a meteor and was brought by a company called GUN. The lead researcher was Gerald Robotnik, his granddaughter, Maria, resided there aswell. Robotnik tried finding a cure for her illness through me, I began bonding with her" A barely visible smile appeared on his face as he tells the story, but is quickly fell as he continued.

"GUN wanted to take me away, Robotnik couldn't handle it. He tried escaping with me and Maria, Maria got killed in the crossfire. The doctor was arrested and I was frozen for fifty years. After that he got me out of there, bringing his grandson along. They wanted to blow up the Earth, but a blue hedgehog made me realise that that wasn't what Maria would've wanted. With the power of the master emerald, we steered the weapon away from Earth. The hedgehog was saved by his friends, I wasn't so lucky. I crashed down at that was where you found me"

"That is quite the story, Shadow. I was surprised to see another mobian here, but you tell me there is another one or even more. So are you going to leave now that your wounds were healed and your memories are back?" The (animal) inquires, kicking a rock near them. They wonder what the other hedgehog and his friends are like.

Shadow thinks, giving a quick look at the cave and then back to the sky. "I am grateful for everything you've done for me. It is probably too much to ask for shelter. I have nowhere to stay, I am not expecting Sonic to welcome me with open arms".

"Ofcourse you can stay" (Y/n) answer with hesitation, shuffling a bit closer to the hedgehog. "We should get another bed, cause no way one of us is going to sleep on the ground. Feel free to bring your own stuff in here, I won't mind sharing my cozy cave" They turn around to look at their home, with their hand on their hips. They already imagine the cave being filled more stuff, perhaps they could even find a better place to live.

(Y/n) pulls out their Snappie, unlocking it. "Hey, how about we do a shot for our first official day as cavemates" They suggest, holding up their device.

"A shot? Like alcohol?" Shadow repeats with a raised eyebrow. He eyes the object, confusion in his gaze.

The other mobian shakes their head, answering "No, it is short for a snapshot. Me and my best friend always made by special moments or just when were having fun, to make memories. These things can only make photos and send text, but I'm only able send photos to her"

They pull Shadow close as they raise their Snappie into the air. "Smile!" They grin, closing their eyes. As if magic, Shadow does as they say, having a small smile on face. They might not be Maria, but he doesn't mind. (Y/n) snaps the picture, not realising they weren't very visible on it because of how dark it was.

˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

Hours...Days...weeks passed by.

The cave grew fuller and resembled more like a home. Shadow mostly stayed in the cave, hesitant to leave it. (Y/n) actually caught him sleeping in their bed, which he denies ever happened. (Y/n) once spotted the fast blue hedgehog when looking for for food, but he sped before they could reach him.

One day, Shadow and (Y/n) were walking in the forrest. (Y/n) held the other's hand tightly, Shadow couldn't help but glance at it from time to time. They stop when they hear laughing and talking, it seemed like it was coming not too far away. The (f/c) (animal) leads their friend along with them as they talk closer, making sure not to make a sound.

(Y/n)'s eyes widen as they see Sonic, along with two humans, two mobians and a weird creature that walks on four legs. A red echidna and a yellow fox with two tails, quite a unique pair. "We should go say hi" (Y/n) says, about to walk through a bush infront of them.

But they were stopped by Shadow pulling them back, shaking his head. "We can't just bardge in there, they dont even know you" He argues. He sees how happy the other hedgehog seemed, making him feel envy. He was just getting close to (Y/n), he didn't want to risk losing her aswell.

They went back and forth, (Y/n) trying to pull away and Shadow pulling them back. But (Y/n) accidentally pulls a little too hard and pulls Shadow with them. Their body hit the ground with a small 'oof', they look up to see Shadow's face. His hands on were each side of their head and his knees were caging their legs, trying to not to fall into them

"Um, am I interuppting something?" A voice chimes, making the two freeze. Looking down at them was none other than Sonic, who came to check out the noise. He should've been surprised about Shadow being alive. But his attention was more towards the mentioned hedgehog was hovering above a (animal) he didn't regonise, not to mention close to where he was camping with his family.

Shadow quickly gets up and turns his head, hiding the blush he gotten from embarasment. It was one thing be get so close to his friend, it's another thing to be caught in that position by Sonic.

"You're Sonic, right?" (Y/n) pushes themselves up, brushing the dirt off of them. "I've heared a lot about you, it's great to finally meet you. I hope you don't mind if I and shadow join you guys"

"Ofcourse I don't mind, always great to meet a fan" Sonic scratches the back of his neck, grinning. He turns to the black and red hedgehog "We have a lot to catch up on". He walks back, motioning for the two to follow after him.

(Y/n) was about to go after him, when they notice Shadow didn't move a muscle. They exhale, approaching their friend. Their hands grasps those belonging to Shadow, tracing the back of his hands with their thumbs. "I know you have trouble connecting, but I want to make more friends to connect with and rely on".

Taking in their words, Shadow hesitantly nods. He lets them drag him through the bush and to where the group was. "Hey there" (Y/n) greets, waving.

Their voice takes the attention of the two humans and mobians. The human and fox's Jaws dropped, the latter dropping his marshmallow into the fire. "I win!" The echidna cheers, raising his marsmellow on a stick in the air. He notices that the others were staring at something, so he follows their gaze. After like a month of thinking Shadow died, he stood there infront of them.

"How did you survive the explosion o-or even the earth atmosphere, me and Sonic only barely got to safety thanks to Knuckles" Tails stutters, remembering Knuckles using a ring last second to teleport them away.

Shadow crosses his arms. "I am the ultimate life form, I won't be killed that easily" He pauses. "After I crashed, (Y/n) took me in and cared for me" He adds, glancing at the mentioned creature next to him.

Feeling the attention drawn to them, (Y/n) perks. "Oh, right, I should probably introduce myself. I am (Y/n) the (animal), nice to meet you all" They mention, smiling. They reach into their bag and pulls out the big emerald. "I found this near Shadow, do you know wha–"

"THE MASTER EMERALD!"

The echidna stands up (after chomping his marshmallow) and walks up to (Y/n) with his hands out. (Y/n) places the green gem in his grasp, looking up at the tall mobian. He nods at them with gratitude, which (Y/n) does aswell.

"Snappie?" The (f/c) (animal) turns to Shadow. Before he could answer, a voice chimes.

"Snappie? Like snapshot?" Tails asks, tilting his head.

"Yeah!"

After some talking, with (Y/n) pushing Shadow to speak to the others. They gather around as (Y/n) raises her device into the air, taking a photo.

˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚

DING

Amy snatches her Snappie from her bedside table, unlocking it. She taps on (Y/n)'s contact, finding they had send a photo. It was them with four other mobians, her eyes widen when she notices a blue hedgehog.

"It's him!"

OKAY. HERE WE GO. my black bulls doggies!!!! :D

there's definitely a noticeable difference in style/quality of some of these just due to time between each design and/or how i was feeling at the time of drawing them (these hot and rainy summer months have been super rough on me)

ALSO they were all done symmetrically so that i wouldn't burn out and could actually finish them LOL . OK EVERYBODY BELOW

starting off with asta, a husky/coyote mutt!! :D in my au, devil users end up becoming hybrids of whatever their devil is. so since liebe is a coyote, that's what asta is too!! (also, i haven't drawn him yet, but yuno is a malamute :D similar looking breeds but different since they're not actually related!)

(here's liebe too hehe, scrappy lil coyote!!)

then of course, noelle, who's a saluki!! a very regal breed for a very royal gal!! i thought making her pigtails into her ears was a fun idea HEHEHE

(+ an alternate design version!)

here's finral, he's a shetland sheepdog!! gentle and sweet and always trying to herd his people together :) you might notice that with some of my designs, i end up doing extra scarring; that's usually just personal headcanons, as i think some injuries would be too grievous to fully heal. though some (for instance, gauche) don't have a canon story behind them, i just think they're fitting

vanessa, who's a cavalier king charles spaniel!! her ears sorta blend into her hair lol, i had an alternate version where they were the same darker brown as her fur but i decided that them blending in looked better and fit the breed standard as well.

gauche, the ever wary american akita!! being a fiercely loyal and protective breed, but aloof and suspicious of strangers.

then there's grey, who's a long-haired chihuahua!! sweet and skittish HEHE, also i haven't drawn it yet but i've always imagined her big transformation disguise that she's first introduced as to be a rottweiler LOL

next up is luck, a jack russell terrier!! i've always thought this was a very fitting breed pick, intelligent but highly energetic and a little mischievous !!!

and of course, magna is never far behind luck; he's a dobermann pinscher!! similar to luck in energy and intelligence, but even more fiercely protective of his loved ones.

GORDON!!! actually one of my favourite black clover characters, he's a dalmatian not only because of the fitting aesthetic, but also because of his kind and sensitive personality!

the masked supermage zora, a german shepherd! watchful and sometimes stubborn but loyal nonetheless made this pick fairly easy to come to. though, before getting to see more of him, my initial pick was actually a kai ken!

charmy's design is one that i'm the most proud of for sure; i mentioned in an earlier post that the different peoples are different species of animals. well charmy is a half toy poodle, half american badger!! i thought a badger was a VERY fitting pick, as they are generally unbothered by much unless their food is threatened LOL

and finally, lastly (for now) is nero!! she's a bull terrier, but i really wanted to keep her twin tails from her anti-bird form! her outfit is definitely the one i edited the most, i just wanted to give her something more practical out of personal preference.

additionally, henry is an old english sheepdog, nacht is a black norwegian elkhound/fox, and yami is a wolfdog!

I HAVE SOME OTHER CHARACTERS DOODLED HERE AND THERE but nothing else really finished yet. if there's a specific character anyone would like to see i would be SO happy to draw/doodle them to show off!! i honestly have a huge list of dog/cat breeds picked out for every character i could think of; i just am hellishly indecisive and can never pick who to start on next AHDSJAGDJSDK

THE POSITIVE RECEPTION TO MY ART SO FAR HAS MADE ME SO HAPPY BTW AUAGGHHH i have no idea how/if im able to reply to people directly but just know that i keep reading over everyone's reblog tags and stimming like crazy IM SO HAPPY THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH AUHGHFEHGGRH

These are artistic concepts I’ve created for a story I’d like to tell.

In the universe I draw, Tails and Charmy have grown up by now.

That said, I do believe that crafting a harrowing story featuring their younger selves would be a terrible idea. So, naturally, I did it.

I’ll either turn it into a low-quality comic or simply write it out.

As a basic concept, the story explores how Tails and Charmy grow closer, spending more time together and engaging in various activities. However, an accident occurs, leaving both of them temporarily flightless. About a week into their recovery, Tails develops an interest in undiscovered species rumored to inhabit a 700-foot-deep cave.

He asks Sonic, Amy, and even Cream if they want to join him, but no one is willing to deal with tight squeezes and deep, dark spaces. The only one who agrees? Charmy.

I wanted to make Shadow look more different but he looked awful without his highlights so…

Also I forgot to draw his back quill IM SORRY

I came up with this AU when I was half asleep but the role swaps I have right now are these:

Sonic — Shadow

Tails — Rouge

Knuckles — Blaze

Amy — Silver

Dr Eggman — Maria

Metal Sonic — Omega

Cream — Marine

Vector — Jet

Espio — Wave

Charmy — Storm

Tikal — Big

Chaos — Fucking FROGGY

Obviously this isn’t all the characters but like I said these are just the ones I immediately thought of since I was tired. I decided the characters should mostly keep their original personalities js bc I thought it would be funny, but obviously some changes are gonna be made so they fit their roles better.

I’m hopefully going to make more concept designs for this AU if I have the motivation YIPPEE!!!!!!

#1 of my Amy Rose redesign collage where I draw her in different outfits in my style on IbisPaint X… I just finished this and it’s currently 7:12 AM where I am (in Canada🇨🇦) and I started this at like 3:30 AM💀 I’m literally crashing after this😭

This is for my Sonic AU, Amy’s full name is Amy Emi Amelia Rose (her parents couldn’t decide whether they wanted to spell her name the English way or the Japanese way so they did both😅), she’s half French and half Japanese as well as half hedgehog and half fruit bat (hence the sharp teeth, slit eyes, bigger and bat-like ears, and longer tail, but her wings were cut off as a baby *lore*).

She’s 15-16 in this as well as Tekno (Sonic, Sonia, Manik, Shadow, Blaze, Silver, Mighty, Honey, Espio, Sally, Bunnie, Antione, Rotor are all 17-18, Tails is only a couple of months younger than Amy, Knuckles is 18-19, Rouge is 19-20, Cream, Charmy, Ray, and Marine are all 12-13, Sticks is 14-15, Dr. Eggman is 45-46, and Cosmo is 13-14). I made Tails the same age as Amy because in the old canon, they’re both the same age plus I wanted to make Tails more mature as well as the other characters.

This is her Summer look💕✨ hope this is inspo for somebody when redesigning Amy or making OCs🎀

Sorry it’s so hazy, I drew her really small as to fit other drawings😬

31. How would they describe one another.

Silver would be marvelling at how strong Espio is! And he'd be full of praise about Espio's ninja abilities and skills, too <3 I think Silver would also draw a lot of attention to the fact Espio was his first friend of the past, and willing to believe him where everyone else thought him crazy. I think that is an event Silver deeply cherishes <3

For Espio, I think he'd similarly describe Silver's strong will and spirit, the fact he never gives up, and how he's always there and ready to protect the world as precious traits his beloved possesses. I think he'd also mention Silver's focus and the fact he learns quickly and is always interested in trying out new things, too!

33. Which one of them gives "that look" when they other is acting like a fool?

Espio: he's got ample training with That Look because of Vector and Charmy, lol. Unfortunately for him, Silver is completely immune to Looks of any kind, and will readily keep being his pushy, snippy self if he deems it necessary XD That being said: I think if Espio is clear about why Silver should or should not do something, Silver does listen to him. It just needs to be more clear than eye contact and head-shaking, haha! I think that with an explanation that is sound, Silver is far more likely to listen to others.

55. Who spoils who? Does their S/O tolerate it? Do they secretly enjoy it?

I think that would be Espio: I can see him be the kind of person who liking giving his beloved little things or just lots of attention! Espio does seem like someone who knows how to set up a thoughtful gift to me, and he'll do it if he values the person enough. I think Silver would quite like it, since he knows Espio also enjoys finding things that Silver likes. But I can see him want to return all that attention in kind, so he'll set out to find things Espio appreciates in turn!

60. Are they willing to show PDA? If not, is there a reason?

I think Silver would not care about any reaction people might have to their PDA: he doesn't seem to get embarrassed all that easily about his actions, so I think he'd be totally cool with holding hands with Espio or giving him a kiss in public or such things. He loves Espio, after all, and why would he be afraid to show it? No, Silver is 100% down for PDA: I figure he might not even know there's people out there who consider PDA cringe.

Espio, meanwhile, would probably rather die: he does seem easier to fluster than Silver to me XD I think he'd struggle far more with initiating PDA in public, since he's got a reputation to upkeep and he doesn't want to get teased. Silver might understand that with some explaining, but I think Espio doesn't want to stifle him there, so they might settle in a system wherein Silver initiates PDA a bit more discreetly and Espio reciprocates discreetly? <3

Welcome to the brand new Charmie Autumn Festival -- Fall in Love with Charmie. See what I did there? Lol

Let's get our collective creative (peach) juices flowing. The festival will run all of October, so if you're like me and the writing gods strike at odd times, you'll have until Halloween night. 🎃

I got this brilliant idea from the Merlin fandom and their fluffapalooza, I hope they won't mind I basically charmie-fied their idea. Big love to them.

Hello!! I just HAVE to say I absolutely adore your art, it has such a unique style to it, its oustanding!!

I wanted to ask;

How did you start publishing art for IDW? How did they find your art and do you have any reccommendations of how to get start illustrating for them?

It is my dream to get into IDW in future, and seeing so many creators like you being able to work for them really drives my curiousity and motivation to get into the industry!

I hope you don't take it wrongly if the first thing I do is direct you to two asks @spiritsonic has answered about getting hired for IDW:

"How would one apply to be a writer for IDW?" and "How did you get hired by idw? And what advoce eould you give to people who are intrested in working for companies like sega?"

The reason why is I think she's had a lot more success in this career than me and has things better figured out, so you've got more to learn from her.

That said, those posts have the gist of things- nowadays, it can be hard to get an "in", and editors instead tend to approach people for seeing their art online, etc, if not simply because someone else they know passes the art along (which is what happened to me). In effect, the best advice to give at this point is just, make a great portfolio, do art for your own sake, love the craft for the craft (and not just because you like Sonic etc- after all, even if you DO get hired for Sonic, what do you do when a script comes in and maybe it's mostly about Charmy opening windows for some reason? Do you know how to draw Charmy, how to draw windows being opened?), so that if an opportunity appears, you're ready to pounce on it.

The most RANDOM stuff is on my mind pt 1:

How would Team Chaotix (Sonic) express love?

Talking about stuff that i randomly think of cuz yes. With Sonic, with Dinotrux and other things.. lets start with how i think Team Chaotix would express love to someone they like :')

Espio

Espio is very disciplined and very serious, so i think he would be honest about it to his crush. Espio has a sensitive side, so i think he would do kind things that are small but regocnizable, like writing letters, giving flowers etc. Espio would i think not be comfortable with physcial touch very soon, so he wouldnt be very physically affectionate in the beginning. I'd like to see Espio show his ninja weapons to his crush and explain how they work, wich ones are his favourites and wich ones he dislikes. Espio would i think also be very loyal and honest.

Vector

Vector is the biggest and strongest member of the Chaotix, so exposing his soft side can be pretty hard for him, but he is shown to give people chances. I think Vector would like to talk about music, but just a little thing that i think would be funny: if Vector allows his crush to wear his headphones, girlie has earned his trust 👏 Vector would i think be open about his own life and opinions, but also interested in his crush's life, returning questions like "how was your weekend?" Or "whats your favourite food?" Simple things, but he would want to know it. Vector would i think also be king of making dirty jokes with Charmy around who doesnt understand, simply because he wants to see what reaction he gets. Because he's a detective he can i think also IMMEDIATLY notice signs of cheating - wich he would carefully ask about, hes not gonna play dumb and act like he doesnt know something he knows. Vector is easy to handle and easy to talk to, so i think the more he likes someone the more talkative, protective and open he is to that person. Vector is loyal, so i don't think he would cheat or anything. He would i think be very respectful, listen to "no," and draw his own lines with respect.

Charmy

Would literally not know he's crushing until his friends tell him he is. He would tell his crush things like "i like you more then ___" or "you are so cool/pretty/awesome". Charmy would definitley be talkative and very extravert, cuz hes a kid, and would 100% crush on someone his age (like Cream). Because of that he won't seriously go dating unlike Espio and Vector. Charmy would i think start out by sharing things like snacks or his toys, or showing his crush drawings he made. He would probably think kissing is gross and prefer hugs or high fives. Charmy would i think also joke about Vector or Espio being in love in front of his crush to show off - like "LOOK, VECTOR IS CALLING HIS GIRLFRIEND!" "LOOK, SEE THAT PICTURE?! THATS ESPIO'S GIRLFRIEND!" "AWWW VECTOR/ESPIO IS IN LOVEEEE!" "EEW THAT IS GROSS!" only to discover he has a crush too 🤣 he would i think also show off all of his ✨️SuPeR cOoL dEtEcTiVe sKiLLs ✨️ We're talking about a kid here, so he would never directly tell his crush he likes her (probably bc he doesnt understand the whole "falling in love" thing very well yet) but he would i think want to spend time with his crush doing things like going outside or playing a game.

So, I wrote a little thing for Fall in Love with Charmie.

Dedicated to @tandaforever for organising this little fest, and @valgal78 for making me aware of it.

Prompts are CMBYN promo era - hurt/comfort - the sweater of love. (Though lets be honest, this all stemmed from one particular line like usual) 🧿❤️

No sweaters were harmed in the making of this fic, and all🦎go unmentioned and irrelevant as they should be.

UNDER AND OVER (AND EVERYTHING IN-BETWEEN)

There’s a low, droning vibration stemming from the walnut coffee table; his mobile, he assumes, long-since ignored within the pocket of his discarded jeans. A lone sock dangles accusingly from the overhead light fitting: a fate reminiscent of the boxers draped over the dresser mirror. Some might be shocked, he’ll admit, at his lack of designer deference, but Armie’s tracksuit is likewise abandoned on the hotel carpet, and Tim…

…well.

Tim couldn’t care less for wrinkled McQueens when the other man’s clutching his naked waist like his life depends on it.

When the telltale creaks of the king size mattress are all but smothered by the hiccupped moans spilling from his desert-dry lips.

When the searing heat gathered at the base of his spine is a fail-safe indicator he’s about to come untouched: the relentless drag of Armie’s cock against his screaming prostate making his balls draw tight in preparation.

And perhaps he says some of that out loud, because Armie surges upright with a shaky nod, a mottled flush extending from his hairline to his beautifully bare chest as he crushes their mouths together. Tongue delving rough and possessive: claiming him twice over.

It’s been weeks since the promo ended. Since they were on the same continent, let alone the same bed. Tim needs him like he needs his next breath - crazy as the thought may be - and starved of such contact by dint of their hectic schedules, a limited diet of filthy text messages and late night video calls only served to fan the flames.

The connection they forged that dreamlike summer refuses to fade. They’d both fallen irrevocably. Hard and heedless: regardless of the pain. But here and now there’s nothing to stand between them. Nothing else beyond the suite’s four walls. Tim’s entire world hinges on the salty tang of Armie’s collarbone - the scratchy stubble tickling his temple - the dizzying rush of blood hurtling through his quicksilver veins, and for all that he finds himself drowning in the intimacy, it doesn’t stop him from craving more.

It never does.

Never will.

That said, an actor’s life is one of flexibility: adapting to the changing tides. Inspiration strikes in a blink, and flashing a salacious grin he reaches behind him, snagging the soft grey sweater he’d stripped from Armie’s body not twenty minutes earlier; sighing in bone-deep contentment when the lingering scent of herbal shampoo and expensive cologne envelopes his arms and torso in a familiar, woollen embrace.

Saccharine, maybe, but when Armie burst in on a routine piano lesson - drawing him into a love unforeseen - the quirks and insecurities he’d spent years repressing soon became free.

Accepted.

Wanted and explored.

Half the pleasure is knowing what this does to you. Knowing you like seeing what it does to me, Armie told him once, drunk on the build moreso than the wine, so it’s no surprise when his partner simply smirks in return, brows knit in fond amusement as he nuzzles the droopy collar.

“Don’t think I’m complaining,” he murmurs, the raw urgency of before notably absent. “But what happened to pants off, Hammer: no clothes ‘till Thursday?”

He has a point. A damned good one, at that. Yet -

“I want to feel you surround me, even when you’re inside me,” Tim replies, leaning forward to kiss him for all the times he couldn’t. “I want to smell you on my skin, even when we’re apart...”

“Fuck…”

“You’re mine,” Tim says, wrapping the sweater’s cuff around his sensitive glans. “And I’m yours,” he declares, smearing it with the sticky pearls.

Armie’s eyes grow glassy as he realises his intent, and keeping him pinned by cock and stare alike, Tim proceeds to pick up the pace; leaving him in no doubt that sooner or later, the rest of the world will know it too.
