there's something to be said about the choice to use "prince" as the main signifier of military rank for the andalites. because it kinda obscures the truth of the situation, doesn't it? a group of kids getting magic powers from an alien prince sounds whimsical and delightful. a group of kids getting pulled into a war by an alien colonel sounds tragic and horrible. the slow reveal of what "prince" actually means over the course of the early books is perhaps the most underrated twist of the entire series, because it fundamentally recontextualizes the entire premise of the series without the reader even consciously realizing it.

I really like the idea that Danny has like a 6th sense for Crazy Billionaires TM. Like he’s so used to Vlad and all his shenanigans that he can clock crazy from a mile away.

I don't recall the books ever specifying what weapons Elrond primarily fought with and while he is usually given a sword by both the movies and fandom, I think it would be incredibly hilarious if he came out with fucking Dramborleg. ax's human morph being super androgynous due to bring an equal mix of male and female traits is already a win for gender but what's REALLY a win for gender is that every single time one of the other animorphs tries to describe him they go on and on about how disturbingly attractive he is. in like every single book they do this. they're all like "it's weird how attractive he is due to being a mash of genders. i don't want to harp on about it but what's important for you to understand is he's hot as fuck. his genderless swag bewitches and confuses me. what is 'bisexual'"

stumbled across that deleted scene of merlin complimenting the knights and forcing arthur into jealous sparring to impress merlin and i just. god. they are so gay. that scene was straight out of a fanfic. since we treat the sigil scene as canon despite it being deleted, i move to motion that we address that scene as canon as well. all in favor, read this post. oh look at that, its unanimous.

It's way late. I don't know how to draw Deadlock or any mech for that matter. But I have to. Here me out.

I need to see First Aid be a badass.

So so so here's what happen.

Ratchet and Jazz goes to rescue Prowl, which was also coincide with the Shockwave controlling all the mech and pilot event.

Shockwave use the Vortex that he's controlling to fight Deadlock and prevent them taking Prowl.

Somewhere along the line. Vortex manage to yeet First Aid out but he still couldn't get control back. (Or Deadlock hit Vortex in the head and that cause First Aid to disconnect??? IDK I just have to get him out.)

So First Aid go and put an Axe in the control center. When Vortex regain control he stab the frigging blade into the room and retrieve First Aid.

And then they escape.

yes, they actually dissect people and then put them back together and let them go. sometimes they put them in a zoo instead.

none of the other aliens know what their deal is. they have a larval stage where they look like giant cockroaches. one time they somehow obtained the most dangerous weapon in the entire universe and just threw it in their junk drawer next to a mustang convertible and a case of dr pepper. they are directly in the middle of a galactic war and have survived untouched because neither side cares enough about them. i don't think any of the main cast besides ax even know they exist?

every sci-fi series should do this. this is awesome.
