HAWKS (KEIGO TAKAMI) X (G/N) READER
Tumblr media
summary: going on a date with hawks <3
A/N: sorry for not posting much, ive been a mix of busy, unmotivated and uninspired, but im back now :3
includes: fluff, mild swearing, innuendos.
When Keigo asked you out, you were over the moon. You've had a crush on him for a while now, and for him to want to take you out on a date, was like a dream come true.
I mean, how could you not have a crush on him? He's absolutely gorgeous, suave, funny and a true gentleman. You and him had been friends for a while, and now you were finally taking it to the next step.
He wanted to meet you at the park, so you put on something casual. Although, you still wanted to impress him, so you accessorized with some jewelry.
Then, it was finally time.
When you arrived at the park at exactly 23:00 like he asked, of course, nobody was there at that time of night, Keigo had specifically planned it that way, so the two of you could get some privacy without him being mobbed by fans.
You sat down on a nearby bench, waiting for your date to arrive.
A few minutes later, you spotted a pair of crimson wings flying towards you.
'Hey there, hope I didn't keep you waiting for too long.' He landed in front of you.
Luckily, he wasn't dressed up either. Just wearing an oversized white sweater and baggy jeans. For some reason, he also had a big backpack with him.
'Now, let's get to walking. I've got a nice spot for us to go to.'
While you were walking through the foresty part of the park, there was a comfortable silence. Both of you guys just looking around, taking in the beautiful view of the red and yellow fall leaves on the trees. The bright moonlight lit up the park, so it wasn't too dark to see.
At some point, you two were walking so close together, you noticed the backs of your hands touching. You were wondering if Keigo noticed it too, when he suddenly reached around and grabbed your hand. There was your answer.
'I'm sure you don't mind, right?'
'No, I don't.' You blushed and looked away.
He must've noticed your blushing, cause he had a cheeky grin on his face the rest of the way there.
You eventually arrived at the spot Keigo had meant to take you to. It was a gorgeous lookout with a view of the lake beneath you.
To your displeasure, he let go of your hand.
He opened the mysterious backpack he had with him and took out a red and white-checkered picnic blanket and snacks and laid them out under a willow tree.
'Did you think I'd let you sit on the ground?' He winked at you goofily.
'You didn't have to bring all this for me.' You said as you sat down next to him on the blanket.
'Only the best for you, birdie.'
You chuckled at the petname.
'Don't laugh at me!' He said, pretending to be offended. 'Now, eat up.' He fed you a strawberry to shut you up.
'Damn, you didn't have to force-feed me.' You punched his shoulder playfully.
'Shut your mouth before I force-feed you something else.' He punched you back a little bit harder.
'Why don't you make me shut up?' You provoked him.
'Don't try me. I'll kick your ass.'
The two of you started play-fighting. While you fought with all your strength, he was actually holding back, cause as a hero, he was much stronger than you. He wasn't letting you win, though.
'Wow. you really aren't gonna let your date win?' You feigned anger.
'You're such a brat.'
That's when he pinned you to the ground and kissed you. It was a short moment, but the feeling of his lips on yours took your breath away.
'That ought to shut you up.' He smirked as he released you wrists from his grip and sat back up.
And he was right, it did shut you up. You were silent for a while as you stared off into the distance.
'Hey, I didn't actually mean the thing about shutting you up.' Keigo spoke up after a little while. He was afraid he'd overstepped a boundary.
'I know, I'm just looking at the view. It's really beautiful.' You tried to distract him from the fact that the kiss flustered you.
'Yeah, it really is.' He said, looking at you instead of the view.

thronecoming heritage hall gifts (rewritten)
The Thronecoming heritage hall gifts bug me. Most of them don’t feel like a parent has gifted them. They are so uninspired for the biggest moment in their child’s life.
I’ve listed my replacements below. I’m hoping for the gifts to have a, if had-to-do-it-again-here’s-what-I’d-want vibe.
blondie lockes
OG gift: running shoes
rewritten gift: a new piece of tech that helps her with her mirror cast. A shiny new microphone or even just a cute news reporter accessory that acknowledges her unintended break from destiny (or rather extremely developed hobby/career because her story can be over in like 30 minutes) it also gives off the initial impression that blondie’s story is “just right” the way it is until.. boom! There’s a note.
That mentions that as Goldilocks has reflected on her role and how she regrets hurting the bears the ways she has* and with an extra perceptive daughter like blondie she is sure to find a worthy story (within bounds) that won’t cause baby bear to develop a complex. *insert long list of things here that blondie could comment on in her stead because the story book of legends didn’t write every worthwhile critique of the bear house and the bears despite “forgiving” her won’t let her talk to them about this* and a small comment of how she is super proud about blondie that hopefully eases some of her attention seeking behavior so she’s less of a brat later on.
cerise hood:
OG Gift: picnic basket with an electronic mirror lock.
revised gift: honestly I have no comment. This is a great gift. My only question is how recently the presents are placed in the hall seeing as how that basket spit up a whole bird leg. Maybe it has a special note of the picnic menu they have in celebration once the whole shebang is done.
o hair twins:
OG gift floating hair brushes
rewritten gift given how Rapunzel’s story is that she was locked away her whole life because her bio mom ate a magical plant while pregnant that the witch wasn’t sure of the side effects of and had to lock her away because damn sure bio parents couldn’t do anything if the witch was second guessing herself. What I think should be there are odd bits an bobs function like an Easter egg hunt of a map and post fairytale notes one what they are that Rapunzel is certain her girls can figure out because they have her plant powers (though probably diluted hence the helpful notes incase they have to solve things like their adoptive grandma ).
briar beauty
NOW FOR THE GIRL WHO INSPIRED THIS POST. Her gift makes me so angry. It is the most nothing gift of the whole bunch. You mean to tell me that a hundred year sleep doesn’t come with any regrets at all? Not one thing?
OG gift A neck pillow.
revised gift: A SCRAPBOOK. The first few pages could be filled with pictures of her family. Bonus points if they’re are people Briar wouldn’t have gotten the chance to meet but knows who they are by virtue of her mom. It hits home exactly how big her sacrifice is. Also all the storybook imagery? The intro? Imagine if there was a dark time line where we were being told everything that happen through briar who missed all of it and is trying to piece back something familiar?
either way, mental breakdown and existential crisis guaranteed.
also bonus. It’s totally merchandisable. Half the book mercy was essentially scrapbooks/concept art anyhow.
Cedar wood: revealer rays
it’s a good gift but something she wouldn’t be able to use in her story at all. They are not subtle and most everyone who knows about Cedar knows that Pinocchio didn’t mess up her eyes to the point she’d feasibly need glasses. Revised gift: letters from the blue fairy (well wishes, maybe an helpful hint or two) Gepetto and Pinocchio (things to to try (and not repeat) once she’s no longer wooden and how to lie effectively) I can’t think of a physical possession for Cedar to have. But I feel she’d appreciate these. Maybe a special cricket/donkey whistle?
duchess swan:
no gift shown but what I have in mind is a mix of briar and blondie’s gift.
a collection of letters (written on leaves and paper or something) from both her mom and her bio dad detailing the bitter sweet love in the tragedy to reassure duchess it’s not all bad. And a special pair of dancing shoes for her last night as a human. I imagine this gift would only make duchess mad.
Madeline hatter:
no gift shown and honestly idk what the mad hatter gives his daughter it’s probably perfect. An old hat that looks very normal actually? A crazy new teapot? Who knows?
raven queen:
og gift wand wishing well coin
honestly I want to know the logic behind the wand. Is it a back up battery in case apple thwarts raven through zapping away her powers somehow?
I have multiple suggestions
Something that contains directions to the true SBOL
recipe for the poison apple
something that originally belonged to someone in the Snow White family that she is proud enough to share with her daughter (raven would probably give it back).
*blondie branches out mentions how Goldilocks promised to be a better person.

WiP Wednesday!!
Iiii'm tagging @kcscribbler @thosegayoldmen @loki-is-my-kink-awakening @lokimobius @sweeteatercat @ anyone else whose username I can't remember. No pressure tags, either to read or post anything 😘😎
For context, this story’ll take place some time after my first coochieverse fic, Sledgehammer. Transmasc Mobius/transmasc Don, sex tape shenanigans, angst and smut galore.
For the purposes of this fic, Loki’s snuck off to the Sacred Timeline to find something for his and Mobius’ anniversary -- no, it isn’t an actual anniversary, but he’s never had one, and he wants an excuse to do something nice for him and Mobius. Mostly for Mobius, but you know. Dorks and feels.
He visits an adult toy store, and is helped by a very knowledgeable young man with shoulder length blond hair and a bit of a familiar dialect - but Loki’s too fascinated by everything on display to properly look at the guy, or register his face. He’s in a sex shop for the very first time of his life. Priorities, people.
And yes, this snippet is very very NSFW. Read on below the cut.
“Ooh. A man after my own heart. Just a tic!” The helpful young clerk disappeared behind the corner to grab something off the shelves a little bit further in, and came back with no less than two different boxes. The brand was ‘Lelo,’ which told him nothing, and while the little doodads on display behind the clear front were…uninspiring at best, just holding the boxes gave him a visceral thrill.
“Here ya go,” said his new best friend. “Start off with this little guy, get those juices going, and when you really wanna rev his engine?”
Loki stared at the little packages. Exclusive looking, for what they were. Sonic, vibrating clitoral stimulators… “Fascinating.” He turned his head to properly look at the clerk, to thank him for his obvious expertise, but ended up staring at the poor man instead. It was a mistake to muster up the courage to talk about sex like a pair of adults engaging in a transactional Midgard custom. To look him in the eye, rather than let contextual embarrassment guide his eyes elsewhere.
It was the Don of his collected dreams and nightmares. Don from the home made sex tape that ended up changing everything for himself and Mobius. Long floofy, sunkissed blond hair. Peachy lip balm. Criminally tight, low cut jeans. And-- Why was he suddenly taller? Were those high heeled boots?
“Er.”
“Uncle Jethro’s gonna kill me for saying this, but all you need is your hand. Have your man use that on his clit until he’s gaggin’ for it, and then you use two fingers on his g-spot. But not like--”
He deftly demonstrated the fluttery, rubbing, wave motions Loki usually did, and Loki could feel his face heat up like a forest fire.
“--but you lock your fingers at a ninety degree angle to your palm and pull up. Like, aim for the ceiling, up, up, up, up. Go fast. Hold his pelvis down, and don’t worry about being too rough, he can take it. You’ll know you’re golden by the wet noises.”
“I, what?”
“I got two words for you, handsome. ‘Fountain.’ ‘Orgasm.’ He’ll love you forever.” Don leans against the shelf. “...now, what’s your pleasure?” Overt, come hither, how do ya like dem apples, pouty lips, shock full of confidence and swagger
“I. Uh,” Loki squeaked. “I beg your pardon?”
“What kinda toy do ya want him to use on you? Gimme something to work with.”
“Oh.”
“Aw. You’re precious.” Don patted his hand, which was still clutching one of the clitoral stimulator packages he brought over in a white-knuckled grip. “I like you.”

No matter how many times it is explained to me or I talk about it with someone, I can't fully grasp what exactly is going on with art in the arc of a scythe universe. Because like,
It's stated multiple times that post-mortal art is "bland" and "uninspired" and "redone to death," and while I can certainly understand SOME art being like that, surely not all art is like that?? And I understand this in the sense that like, everyone's constantly remaking/repainting/making their own versions of famous paintings and such, but also there still has to be people who don't do that, right??? Like maybe I just have zero reading comprehension and somehow missed the bigger picture, but I feel like all this talk about art being redone to death implies that no one is making original art anymore? Which just. doesn't seem feasible to me?? Because as an artist myself, I can't see immortality taking away my ability to draw or come up with cool ideas. I don't draw because I'm going to die one day, I draw because I like it, and it's a form of creative expression. You can always come up with something new to draw- whether it's a cool oc, or someone you know, or just something random and abstract. The possibilities never end!
Of course, I suppose there is the argument then that people just aren't creative anymore, but I also find that hard to believe. I couldn't imagine ever truly running out of ideas. Like I mentioned above, OCs people??? I highly doubt there's no one in the post-mortal era still making weird, whacky, badass, or just cute OCs. Heck, I'd expect scythe ocs to be really popular! I wonder if it's like a thing for every kid to have a scythe oc phase..? Or at least kids in certain communities/fandoms (like scythe card trading- maybe they make their own cards for their scythe ocs!)
And also, it's confirmed that fiction is still very much a thing in the post-mortal era (I know zombies are referenced in one Gleanings story) so it's not like people can only connect to non-fiction. That's another thing that's discussed more in terms of theatre and writing- people not being able to connect to the themes because they're so far removed from it in reality. But my thing is, I've never experienced war or death (until very recently at least) and I still don't find myself unable to sympathize with people losing their loved ones to death or war or disease, although I suppose this could also have to do with the nanites. Plus the fact that death and war still exist in society as an actual thing that happens, but idk.
Also by the way- I feel like that one Gleanings story The Mortal Canvas has a subtle diss on digital art? And I have nothing against traditional art- heck I probably draw traditionally more often since I'm always doodling/sketching, but I feel like just because art is digital doesn't mean it's "uninspired" or whatever people were saying in the books. In fact, I've found myself moved emotionally by more digital pieces than traditional ones (although I don't see a lot of traditional paintings compared to digital ones tbf)
Also also I want to say- I don't exactly know how well this relates to my point but that one dude in The Mortal Canvas who made the others' artstyles into filters was a huge douchebag. AI art type shit, I was ready to strangle him reading that.
I remember the bit in The Toll about Ezra the artist, and how he said he was just "decent" or "moderately good" or something along those lines when we first met him, and I was going to make an argument about that part too but to be honest it's been a little while since I've read The Toll so I'll have to come back to that one once I reread it. But I think it also had to do with the emotional/creative aspect of art, which again, I refuse to believe immortality has such an influence on creativity that no art is original or interesting anymore. Sure it might make certain things harder, or make motivation worse, but I feel like if someone is truly creative it doesn't matter? Though then again, I'm not immortal so what do I know.
I briefly mentioned nanites earlier, and that is one thing that I do think probably has an impact, and I specifically mean emo-nanites. Since post-mortals can't feel as strong emotions as us mortal humans, perhaps that's also why their art seems more uninspired or whatever, because they can't put as much emotion into it. However, an excess amount of emotion isn't exactly needed to make art either. Like as I was writing this I was looking through my own art and realised that for some pieces I wasn't putting any emotional thought whatsoever into the pieces, yet there's still a clear emotion there when you look at them. Joy, wonder, whatever.
Anyway in conclusion, I think that it's unrealistic to say that all post-mortal art would be dull, uninspired, and meaningless, because I believe there will always be creative people who will make art not because they're gonna die one day, but because they want to and enjoy it, simple as that. Thanks to whoever stuck around long enough to read this far, I really hope it made sense. It's kinda late while I'm writing this and tbh I'm half-expecting there to be some huge detail/plot point that I missed that makes my whole argument totally invalid, whether that's me misinterpreting all the bits about post-mortal art or just being a complete dumbass with zero media literacy. Either way hope this was a fun read, I don't write long-form posts like these super often (note the lack of confidence in my media literacy skills) and if I made a really bad argument/missed something huge please be nice in the notes, I have a fragile ego :(
Uh yeah anyway I think I got everything as usual don't take my rambling *too* seriously, I just always found it confusing how post-mortal art is said to be so "uninspired" (I keep using that word cause I reread chapter 3 of Scythe today and Faraday uses it there) when I personally can't imagine not being able to be creative, though perhaps I'm just self-projecting. So uh, yeah.

I saw the earlier post about beauty and how the girls are a bit like and Im wondering what are their favorite hobbies or likes and dislikes. If you have the time can you also expand on the Targbros (I really like that name more than Targtowers or Green Princelings by the way)
Jace does a lot of typical court lady activities, like embroidery and socializing at garden parties, but it isn’t something she’s especially passionate about. What she really enjoys is reading, and she has a diverse taste from old historical texts to smutty romance novels. She also enjoys correspondence, i.e. being pen pals, and part of her genuinely finds fulfillment in participating in government. She likes going for walks and flying on Vermax, but otherwise she isn’t interested in physically exerting activities or anything deemed unladylike.
Luce’s big hobby is knitting, which she learned from the nursemaid Nelly. It’s a good activity for multitasking since she can chat with other people while doing it, and she thinks it has more utility than embroidery. (If her future husband wants to read aloud to her while she’s knitting, that’d be nice too 👀.) She also likes sums/math, because numbers are straightforward. Unlike Jace, she loves running around, climbing trees, exploring nature, etc. Luce dislikes activities that require her to sit in place and be quiet/focus on one thing.
Joff is a precious weirdo 🖤. I’m going to mention in Chapter 5 of Compromise that she has a Myrish near-eye (AKA microscope), and she likes to study things under it. That’s why she’s constantly collecting samples like moldy bread. And of course she’s very interested in sorcery, witchcraft, and the like, so she spends a good bit of time reading and experimenting with that. The magic experiments are unsuccessful more often than not. She also has an amateur interest in herbalism, medicine, and anatomy. She tends to shun activities that she thinks aren’t “useful,” so she knows how to sew but hates embroidery, for example.
Aegon, as we’ve seen in The Golds, is artsy when he’s allowed to be. Singing, playing the lute, drawing (with Jace as his muse obviously). If he’s discouraged or uninspired (like in the beginning of Lavender), he falls back on frat habits, like drinking and partying. Like Luce, he enjoys running around and exploring, but he tends to do it in a more urban setting. I guess detective work counts as a hobby? He’d probably be a decent actor if he wanted to try it out. And again, like Luce (I feel like these two have some hyperactivity going on), he dislikes being forced to quietly sit in one place.
Aemond! ‘Tis he who studies history and philosophy, ‘tis he who studies the blade, etc. Studying, training, and dragon riding are his canon activities, and he does them here too. He’s basically the medieval equivalent of someone who goes to work, goes to the gym, and goes to sleep. But he also picks up on the activities of people around him, e.g. exploring caves on the beach with Luce, following Aegon around the city. He disapproves of “wastrel” activities like drinking and whoring.
Daeron does typical prince and squire activities, like studying and training, but he’s more social than Aemond. When he’s older, he’ll probably be invited by lots of lords to go hunting, hawking, riding, etc. But of course his FAVORITE thing to do is whatever Joff tells him 😂. Because he spends so much time with Joff, he knows a lot more about witchy subjects than he would have picked up on his own. But so far I’ve made him a bit squeamish, like when he gets sick watching Daemon torture the Tyroshi, so he’s not especially fond of everything Joff does.

Hey!!! I hope you’re doing well :) I feel like you’ve been feeling a bit down recently I dunno I could be wrong and you’re just busy but either way I hope your week starts to get better soon!! I just wanted to drop by and check on you and make sure you’re all okay!! Ik you’re probably busy as hell but keep up the good work!! You’re doing good :D!! I’m proud of you!! <3
Hi! Oh my goodness thank you so much!!! I seriously appreciate you sending this!!! This made me very happy!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I genuinely didn’t think anyone would notice, but at the same time I haven’t been as active on here as I usually am so I guess it is a little obvious lol. I was honestly thinking about making a post talking about this but yeah. You’re correct on that. I’ve been struggling with my mental health recently, mainly my anxiety.
It’s really weird because I’ve been doing fine life-wise. I mean, we had a tropical storm come in last week, but it didn’t really affect me or my family or anything and it’s long gone now. It’s been pretty sunny recently lol. But like, back in April I was still working in retail and I had that car crash where my car got totaled and I had to look for a new car AND a new job (which worked out in the end because now I have a nice new car and a great job that isn’t as stressful for me), but ever since I woke up from a creepy nightmare last week, I’ve just been really anxious and on edge. I’ve been having trouble sleeping and been having more eventful dreams and occasional nightmares. So I’ve been more tired than usual and feeling off. Idk I guess it subconsciously triggered some hidden pent up anxiety or something. Similar thing happened to me in high school before I was diagnosed with anxiety but it was A LOT worse because I didn’t know why I was feeling the way I did so I had a hard time coping.
Anyways, I was trying to stay offline for a while so I wouldn’t trigger any anxiety because I felt like every little thing would make me anxious. I’ve also felt too anxious and tired and uninspired to write or post, so that’s another reason why I haven’t been active. I’ve just been trying to focus on myself and my life right now, trying to find some help now that I actually have decent insurance lmao and just trying to focus on things that will keep me calm for the time being.
I will say that I’ve been doing a little better. Like yesterday and today I haven’t felt as anxious and I haven’t really had any nightmares. Just eventful dreams lol. I even got the inspiration to work a little bit on the next chapter of ‘Til Death (I’m kinda stuck on writing a scene for it so I’ve had a bit of writers block with that lol) last night so that’s progress I guess lol.
But like I said, I really really appreciate this ask! It means a lot to me that you guys care about me that much ❤️. Hopefully I’ll be back to my normal self soon and I’ll be back to posting my silly Hades and Persephone stuff lol

If you leave tumblr I might have to hunt you down.
Okay jokes, but like people do care. I know for a fact that there's a lot of people that love reading your work (ME). It's very common as writers to compare ourselves to each other, I do it often. You just have to remember what your here for (writing fics you want to read).
awwww, noooo, another's wants to hunt me down😭
You're so freaking sweet, I absolutely cannot!🥺
Yeah, it absolutely is common to sometimes compare ourselves, I think especially when we haven't written in a while which sadly is the case for me. I've been creatively blocked for a few weeks, my focus exclusively on my trip and to be honest...I also haven't had any ideas at all in a while. Which also makes my brain overthink things and especially compare myself to others.
Like I genuinely love seeing how people are excited about something they're writing, or when I see them post multiple times a week and even get so many of their requests done.
But also, a part of me cannot help but be a little bit "ooohh, I wish I was excited about something I was writing" or "I wish I could write so much as to post multiple times a week" or "oohh, I want to write all my requests now and finally see if my own ideas are good enough to write"
I've been so uninspired, by all my requests (although I love them so so much), by my own ideas. I'm in this little creative block where I hate everything I write and ugh!
I'm trying though. I finished a request yesterday and I hope I'd get to go through one or two more in the next few days. I just really need 1 good idea to hit and steer me to write something different.
Ugh, I ranted a lot, I'm sorry 😭

Do you have any writing tips?
Oh, a lot!
I actually used to have an entire blog for writing tips: @deardragonbook you'll want to scroll down a bit to reach the tips, I don't post there anymore but there's still good content... I think the most popular post I ever did was "Sad things you can do in a book other than killing of a character"
But here's some more up-to-date tips!
-Don't force it... but do force it a little bit. I find if you wait for inspiration to hit sometimes it never will, but if you sit down for just five minutes and write uninspired, often times you will enter into a more inspired state. Now if you sit down and after a while you're still not inspired, unless it's one specific chapter you've gotta push through, it's okay to wait! Forcing a story doesn't tend to end with a good story.
-Warmup! We know to warm-up with sport, most people know to warm-up before drawing, the same goes for writing! I have a very random little file where I just write scenes from no specific fic, in no specific order, for no reason other than to warm up.
It has Frederic and Arianna arguing over what their daughter's favorite dessert is.
Teenage Cassandra asking Arianna for help with makeup.
Captain doing push-ups in the garden.
Owl playing dead to get the attention of a six-year-old Cass.
All of these in 200-300 word sprints that I write BEFORE I start working on one of my propper stories! I've done this with numerous stories and projects, just little warm-ups to get a feel for the characters and flow!
-Remember there are writing styles! Some people opt for long sentences with lots of description! Others (like myself) opt for minimal description and spend more time on feelings and actions. Neither one is better or worse, it just depends on what you prefer and the story you're trying to tell!
-CHANGE POV!! This one may be controversial but whenever I'm really, really stuck in a story 9/10 times I can fix that by taking a quick detour to show a different character's pov... I don't know why this work but it just does!
-Find a program that works for you. I've used word/google docs/good-notes/scrivener and more! I write a lot more and a lot faster with scrivener, it's a million times easier for me to go back and check what I've written before when I need to. Having my notes and my outlines in the same document as the main story is great. This just depends on how your brain works but if you haven't tried alternative writing program, you definitely should! You might find one that makes your process a lot easier.
-Use references. Just like in art, you can check out how other writers described a bustling market or palace architecture to inspire your own writing!
I use Descriptionari a lot for this but there's many similar sites out there, reddit writing communities is another great one!
-Have fun! Cheesy, I know, but if you love a story it's going to be a million times easier to write. Don't worry too much if yet another cuddles scene between your fave pairing is getting in the way of the pacing, if it's bringing you joy I can assure you it's bringing plenty of your readers joy too!
Anyway... If there's something more specific you'd like tips on do say cause writing is such a broad subject matter, but those I think are some important ones I have to remind myself of often :D

happy ww svenja! time to put sam and dean in more situations. if you could make them play the main characters in a different story, in which tv series/movie/book/whatever would you put them? any specific scene you’d love to see them do?
happy wincest wednesday suzy!!
i love this question 💗 and if anyone knows anything about me at all my answer will come as no surprise, because it’s star wars. maybe a bit uninspired (considering kripke literally called spn "star wars in truck stop america") but i am just... not an au person, have never really been, so for something like that to work for me it has to be as seamless as possible, which i think it could be, and it has to be something i love already anyway. (i may or may not have thought about this before, lengthily, in my notes app) it’s very self-indulgent and mainly an aesthetic (which is one of my main sources of enjoyment anyway) change, but hear me out.
and it’s not a crossover, which i fuck with even less than aus (criminal minds being the only acceptable option. maybe the x-files if i had watched it). i don’t want samdean to meet princess leia or fight palpatine or anything like that, and i don’t want dean to be han solo or sam to be luke (which-- sam is obviously anakin, but that’s a different post that is still half-finished in my drafts somewhere). i just want to pluck them from the highway and drop them in the star wars universe and have them roam around the galaxy in their old but perfectly-working ship and be the outlaws they are, in some indeterminate era. i need their backstory to be much of the same to keep the isolation and codependency of their childhood that is crucial to them and my interpretation of them.
they’d be something like bounty hunters? the backstory would still fit: mary is killed and john makes it his goal to find the ones responsible, and then sort of just branches out and becomes a hired gun, taking his sons with him. the grit and grime and rest- and homelessness that i love about the early seasons can be found in the outer rim, and i can so see how dean would feel right at home in that dark and messy underbelly of civilization. he takes care of their ship and has known like fifty evasion maneuvers since he was twelve and is notoriously good at sabacc. sam gets attached to certain planets until he makes himself stop; lived in the core worlds for a couple of years, but that didn’t work out, obviously.
there’s also something to be said i think about him being force-sensitive (again. hello anakin) and either fated to fulfill some sith destiny or somehow tempted by the dark side. i mean, sam full of rage and energy with yellow eyes and towering over dean, rocks and debris floating or whirling around him while smoke rises from flames licking at the ground around them, and dean just looking at him on his knees and going “come back to me, sammy” and sam actually managing to find his way down from that force-induced hysteria? or NOT finding his way back, killing the one he loves most (love that little padme moment for dean)? it’d work.
and since it’s wincest wednesday (because they would be allowed to be in love on this show that’s airing inside my head, obviously) and i love cheesy things sometimes: another scene i’d love to see is them running guns blazing from some sort of enemy to their ship, dean powering it up and sam shooting until the doors close, climbing into the cockpit as dean takes off into the air, entering hyperspace a little early but he knows what he’s doing so it all works out, and them looking at each other with the lights of a billion stars breezing past, leaning across the little gap between the pilot and co-pilot seats and grinning into a kiss all high on adrenaline, riding off into a bright blue-white sunset <3

Sorting Hat Chats - A Psalm for a Wild Build
Check out @sortinghatchats and @wisteria-lodge for explanation of the system I will use in this post.
Monk/ Dex - itching for the sound of crickets is the catalysis for leaving the monastery and hitting the road. The change was emotional, and from outside it looked like it happened suddenly, but it was gradually in the making, just behind closed doors. I would sort sibling Dex as a Lion primary, and a bit burnt one. When times get uncomfortable, Dex’s emotions sweep them over and they wonder about going back. Maybe it is not the burning but a Bird primary model, making them question how smart, logical and practical they were. I think it is both. That nagging voice in Dex’s mind, telling them they need to do something bigger and important shows us the big Lion action just before the end of the book - the monk quickly picks themselves up when they find out there is no road anymore, packs a bag and goes into the wild, at this point being led by something invisible and wordless more than the need to hear the crickets. And they burn a lot after reaching the hermitage.
Dex is not a badger primary. He feels no guilt avoiding the village where their family lives, and later we get to know how much their father was important in them becoming a monk, but they do not feel obliged to stay in the community they felt safe in, neither to go back to their family while being a traveling monk. Also, the way they did their duty feels anything but badgery. Sure, people are important, and helping them is nice, and people and communities need them, but Dex feels no security and need in community bonding, building, and leaving is easy, and any bad feeling about missing tea appointments are quickly forgotten.
Speaking of their vocation, Dex’s secondary fits somewhere between lion and badger, and my heart that likes to lean on later. The way they tackle their new job, as self teaching, making a tea stand with no real fitting materials and not much knowledge was improvisational. And it does not work. They needed time and effort to get it going, and for two years this work and helping people was enough to keep their head from doubting the meaning of their life. Still, you could swing it the other way and say they are a lion secondary, because even if lions are and like to be improvisational, not everything works out on their first try and a lot of things need more work and investment, and no human being can avoid it. Not to mention getting a backpack and choosing to stroll from the woods seems quick, bold, and in theme with “this is me, deal with it or move. I will brake before I will bend”. I would say we did not saw enough to define Dex’s secondary, but we can guess and choose for ourselves what we want to see in the empty space in the mean time. My heart leans badger, but my mind stays with lion - they come and say they are changing their vocation, nothing to indicate that before from outside, no warning. For Dex, this was their warning.
Splendid Speckled Mosscap is an idealist, but I feel it would be too easy to sort them as bird primary. Mosscap have their morality all mapped out, built or felt, and they are there to get to know humans, but plot wise they are there for Dex and their emotional breakdown to be a moral and philosophical voice. We hear their opinions and thoughts, but have no idea how they came to it, apart from them mentioning robots functioning according to nature based circles, teaching Dex the definition of remnants being maybe a bit of a built idea. It is not enough for me to comfortable call them bird primary, and a bit uninspiring for the world that sees mechanical beings as sentient.
...........
Dex - Slightly burnt Lion primary (Bird Model)/ Lion secondary
Mosscap - idealist primary, not enough information to tell anything real, and especially not their secondary

Predictions for the remaining module effects. Long post.
Vanguard
Agent
They’re still pretty new, but are already proving to be quite effective. At first I didn’t even want to make any predictions here, but two decent ideas popped up just like that.
Deployment cost doesn’t increase. - They like to be redeployed. Keeps dp efficiency high.
Gain increased atk/aspd for each unused deployment slot. - A bit gimmicky and effectivity varies by map. Improves combat ability at the start of a mission.
Tactician
I’m not terribly confident in my ideas here in terms of what they may need, but I like the flavour.
Summons recover % hp per second. - Simple sustainability increase.
Gain increased stats for each time a summon is defeated. - Plays into the theme of the class. Fight fiercer when your pets get agressed upon.
Standard Bearer
These don’t need a module, but they’re getting some anyway.
Gain 8 SP on first deployment. - Yes, I know exactly what I’m suggesting here.
Inspire allies in a 1-tile radius for 10% atk/def while skill is active. Gain immunity to Inspire. - Range and values are up to debate, but it shouldn’t be too high. SBs have something like 50% higher stats than Bards with similar atk/def distribution. The flavour is good here.
Guard
Lord
I have no informed opinion on these guys. They’re one of the strongest subclasses across the board and I don’t know what they want, need or what would break them.
Fighter
People say they need help. They probably do, but honestly, Flint and Mountain are doing fine and in general this subclass works great with support (atk buffs, def debuffs, frailty, etc.). They’re AA-Snipers on the ground in that way. Their damage ceiling is really high, but they can’t get there without a ladder (helpers).
Attacks ignore 30 def per hit on the same target. - Flat def penetration is essentially flat attack buffs. Beehunter would love this, but it works for all of them except Indra. She can get the other module.
Gain increased stats for each Fighter Guard in the squad, higher effect per deployed Fighter Guard. - They gang up on the enemy. It’s about the flavour. Is it good? No. Nobody will put all of them into the same squad.
Liberator
I have no informed opinion on these guys. I could’ve written up something uninspired like “trait effect increased”, but I’ll leave my uninspired ideas for subclasses I’m more knowledgeable on.
Centurion
They’re another really strong subclass, though I haven’t heard much of them lately. Gavialter seems to perform well, but not to the extend of rocking the boat, Blaze seems to have been pushed out a bit and Specter has been replaced by her Alter (at least for me).
Target cap removed. - This sounds really strong on first read, but it’s not that outrageous. Reapers already have infinite targets, but there are so few situations where you need more than 3 anyway. Popukar will get the most out of this one (lol).
Take reduced damage for 5 seconds after deployment. - I’ve made this one based on how I use the two Centurions I have raised (Blaze and Specter), which is that I toss them into danger. 5 seconds is exactly how long it takes Specter to get her S2 ready, but it could be a strong effect in general anyway.
Arts Fighter
“How to design modules that do nothing for S3 Surtr.”
Take reduced damage while skill is not ready or active. - Surtr aside, all Arts Fighters have some sort of defensive angle going. This helps their sustain and is useful for Surtr too as long as she isn’t using S3.
Gain stacking aspd each time skill is activated, up to X times. - A bit uninspired after that first one, but same kinda deal. Amiya, Astesia and Sideroca can get the first one, Mousse gets this one, Surtr gets both of course. Astesia could also get good use out of the second module, but she already stacks aspd via her talent. Personally I’d give her both because I’m biased but we can’t do that.
Musha
These guys already have a module and it leans into defense, so I thought of one for offense. Took me a good while to come up with something here.
Atk gradually increases while not attacking. Resets 5 seconds after attacking. - They’re all samurai, so they get to charge their slash while afk. Noirlter would probably like this one, but all of the existing Musha already have the real module (or will already have the real module once it exists), so the only one who gets it will be Hellagur. His use of it would be questionable, since he regens back to full while afk, but it’d work well with S1 and S2 anyway.
Crusher
We don’t even have these yet, but from what I hear they’ll need something really good and well thought-out. I have no experience with them, so nothing here.
Reaper
Currently there’s only La Pluma, but I field her all the time so I have a pretty good grasp on what they could use.
+1 Block. - Sounds dumb and boring, but increases their ability to hold tons of trash by just blocking more and also increases their potential healing. It is boring though.
Deal increased damage to low % health targets. - This one leans more into handling stronger enemies and is a product of flavour. They’re reapers, they execute enemies. La Pluma already has this. She gets both modules anyway the first one.
Specialist
Trapmaster
I’m not excited about Frost getting the 20% trap crits. She deals damage through the extra attack from S2, not the trap itself. My personal gripes aside, here’s the second module:
Trap cooldown reduced, trap-deploy-limit increased, gain sp recovery per deployed trap. - Trap spam. No more room for ground operators.
Merchant
I immediately had the idea to give them increased Taunt level, because that’s fitting, but it’s not useful and Mr. Lee already has it. While you like to let them get attacked (because of their high stats and defensive profile, not for any other reasons), this is already easy to achieve with their low redeploy cooldown.
Gain 1% max hp barrier per dp consumed. - This would also count deployment cost, so they deploy with a little shield. It’s self-healing in disguise. It’s not great, but it’s what came to mind.
Hookmaster
Highest Pull force is 2, highest Push force is 4.
+1 Pull force. - Straight up, no gimmicks. Just give it to them. Or put some condition on it, whatever. “When pulling a single target”, there.
Geek
There’s only one. The first module is predicated upon the assumption that future Geeks will retain Aak’s ability to murder.
Fully recover health when killing an ally and gain % of their stats. - It would be funny. That’s all.
HP-loss from trait doubled, no longer dies from trait effect, gain increased aspd at lower health. - Not as funny, similarly unpractical. Put Aak in a corner, let him hang out on death’s door and watch him perma stun enemies I guess. His dps is actually quite good, you know?
Caster
Phalanx
I have no informed opinion on these guys and if I give a bad module to Carnelian, all of her fans will lynch me.
Mech-Accord
I do have a crush on Kjera an informed opinion on these guys, so I can make some really nice modules for them.
Damage cap of drone increased to 130%. - This gives the drone(s) two more hits to stack up and presents a considerable damage increase. Should probably cap at 120% instead.
When defeated, doesn’t retreat for 10 seconds, gain +1 drone during that time. - This one’s busted. That’s fine.
Blast
I’ve never used one of these.
Deal increased damage to enemies afflicted by a status condition. - Corroserum gets 100% uptime on this while S2 is active, Ifrit does with both S2 and S3. It’s honestly just better than their actual module and plays into the exact same area for them.
Medic
Incantation
There’s only two of these and I have no informed opinion on either. I could make something up, but I won’t.
Chain
There’s only one of these and we dont even have her yet, but watch me copypaste the Chain Caster modules for her:
Attacks deal Arts damage and jump between 4 enemies. Each jump deals 10% less damage and inflicts a short Slow
Attacks deal Arts damage and jump between 4 enemies. Each jump no longer deals less damage and inflicts a brief Slow
Wandering
Increased healing at higher distances. - They’re long range medics who come without falloff by default, so this is fine.
Restore 1 sp to target when recovering elemental damage. - Might be too good. SP support is pretty dicey, but it’s not like there’s all that much elemental damage, right?
Defender
Juggernaut
Not gonna lie, I have no idea what to give them. What I really want, is to give Vulcan the same range as the 6-star ones, but it’s not like I can give the 6-stars 2 range.
+1 Range. - This gives Vulcan the same range that Mudrock and Penance have. It makes her less clunky to use.
Increase %-based talent effects by X% [while not blocking]. - If you paid the cleave cost, ignore the words in brackets. This is iffy and weird, but I like the idea. All three of them have talents that are based on % stuff, so just increase that, right? Don’t like it much, personally. It would also necessitate future Juggernauts to have % talents and I don’t think they’d want to limit design space like that.
Fortress
“What can I design that works really well for Ashlock and Firewhistle and just okay for Horn.” Not hating on Horn, but she’s got it good enough already compared to Ashlock.
Deal increased damage to high % health targets. - This is the boring one that’s pretty good. Nothing much to it.
Gain increased atk for 6 seconds after skill use. - Integrated Strategy is knocking, they want their food back. Works great for Ashlock S2, Firewhistle S1 and Horn S1, also works alright for Firewhistle S2. Horn has the Overdrive mechanic, but you’d need to pump some crazy aspd into her to get this to work for the S2 full-burst. Ashlock and Firewhistle get this one, ofc.
Can be deployed on ranged tiles. - Zzzz. Boring, but not unrealistic. Let’s not get this, please. It’d be really practical, but come on.
Arts Protector
Buncha funky guys.
Normal attacks deal Physical damage while the skill is active. - Did I just remove their trait effect? Yes, I did. Because it’s stupid. It’s been stupid the entire time. You have a defender class that has pretty decent attack, mediocre aspd and is designed to tank and defeat enemy casters who across the board have good res and subpar def. Let them deal physical damage. (This one has a 0% chance of happening.)
Inflict a stacking Res debuff when dealing damage. - More realistic way to have them deal actual damage to the targets they’re designed to tank. (Okay, Dur-nar isn’t actually designed to tank casters and Shalem only tangentially.) Shalem already kinda does this, but wouldn’t be the first time an operator has two res-debuffs.
I have a third one for these. Be careful. Inflict Pure damage equal to 80% of the max hp of the attacker when defeated by Arts damage. Reduced vs Elite/Leader. - Dur-nar does not get this, but the other three have to get it. Give them a second module if you must. There’s a good reason for this. Asbestos and Shalem are total edgelords who would totally do something like this and Czerny already does this sort of so he’s down for it too.
Supporter
Artificer
I have no informed opinion on these guys.
Hexer
I use these a lot actually, between Pramanix and Gnosis. Pramanix is a mainstay in my bosskiller setups, so I want her to work even better for me in that way.
Inflict Physical Fragility on hit. - Just more damage amplification. I like physical damage, so that’s what they amplify.
Steal amount of enemy stats on hit. - More debuffs. What kinda stats is to be decided. It’d be cool.
Inflict silence on hit. - Kinda meh, but was the first thing that came to mind. Spreading silence effects around on more operators would probably only make more enemies immune to it anyway.
Bard
This is the subclass that prompted me to think about this. I thought it’d be difficult to design modules for them, but I got it done pretty quick.
Gain increased SP regen for a duration after deployment. - Pinecone-effect. Gets them online more quickly, not very exciting.
Gain increased atk/def per ally in range. - Plays into their flavour of being performers/divas/idols. Bigger audience, better performance.
No longer immune to Inspire. - lol, imagine.
Abjurer
I have no informed opinion on these guys. I only ever used Tsukinogi during Dossoles to reveal stealthed enemies and don’t like that she can’t attack with her skills active anymore, even though it’s definitely an overall improvement to the subclass. They probably need something really good and well thought-out too, but I’m not here to deliver.
Sniper
Spreadshooter
“How to design modules that to nothing for Ch’alter.” Spreadshooters are largely ignored, Ch’alter aside, due to their high deployment cost and awkward range-limitations. Ch’alter ignores the range-limitations by slapping “trait effect extended everywhere” onto all her skills, so that’s exactly what I didn’t do. Pinecone is really good though, guys. Bring Pinecone, I’ll be happy if you do.
Trait effect extends to 2nd tile in front. - Welcome to Heavyshooter TWO! Well, I did it anyway and it’s still a bit uninspired but I do think it’s what they need. Having at least one extra tile promotes them from “Might as well deploy Tomimi instead” to “Hey that’s pretty decent.”
Reduced deployment cost. - I didn’t intend to just lift the Splash Caster modules, but they’re pretty much the same class with the same issues. Simple, but effective, people will complain about it once they see the module effect in some leak, but once it’s live they’ll be appreciative of it. (except they won’t, because nobody uses any of these operators.)
Can be deployed on Ground tiles. - This would also work to mitigate their range issues. They’re pretty much melee units anyway. You still don’t want them to tank, even with their above-average hp (for snipers), but don’t tell me you don’t want to watch Executor go to town on some fool with his dual-wielded shotguns face to face.
Flinger
Flingers have issues.
Aftershocks deal Arts damage. - This is the easiest and most obvious way to fix these issues. Rosmontis already proves that mixed damage in this way is pretty alright with her S1, but this is the one module that I specifically don’t want for them. I’d rather have their Aftershocks work like Beehunter’s attacks, where defense only applies once. It’s not exactly the same thing, since Beehunter has it to match her attack animation (I should’ve tested if she actually hits twice when Dorothy’s Vision happened, but oh well). Basically the Aftershocks should just have 100% defense piercing, but we can’t do that. We also can’t make them deal Pure damage because that comes with excess baggage. (bypassing dodge and most damage reductions). I would like that, but we can’t have that either. Having the aftershocks deal Arts damage is the most likely case, but I don’t think they’ll do this. I know this goes counter to the premise of this post, since I framed it as “predictions”, but I had to write this one out and I have three ideas for Flingers anyway.
Aftershocks inflict a brief slow. (0.4s). - Greyy doesn’t get this one, he already does it. Same slow as Chain casters. Might be too strong for a base module effect. It’d be useful and neat to watch. Still won’t help Rosmontis hit dogs with her S2 and doesn’t do much for her as a whole, outside of S1.
+1 Aftershock. - yeah.
Besieger
I don’t use these much. I don’t find their minimum range to be at all limiting, possibly because I’m used to Ashlock’s higher minimum range, but I feel like that’s something some people could like to see adressed.
Can be deployed on Ground tiles. - Makes less sense for them than for Spreadshooters, but you can mount a ballista on the ground too, right? I feel like the devs won’t want to make ranged units regularly deployable on ground tiles. Putting melee units onto the high ground is different, because it’s less interactable, but having rangers on the floor opens them up to some other interactions or something. There are probably thoughts like that, that one could think.
And that’s all of them. I chickened out on some subclasses due to lack of experience with them, but that’s fine.

Note
listen i'm extremely indecisive so i really couldn't be stopped so no pressure but i may have gotten just a little... little.. bit carried away with the Get to know your fic writer! thing you reblogged...
anyway i apologize for what im about to do
1, 2, 13, 17, 41, 51, 72, 74
swiftly running away now o7
Well shucks! I'm just delighted you're asking :3
1. Do you prefer writing one-shots or multi-chaptered fics?
It's less of a preference and more of what I have the stamina for. Generally one-shots are easier for me to manage so that's what I lean toward but I've been trying to do more long-form pieces as of late :3
2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?
For short pieces, I usually have a couple of slapdash bullet points of what I want to happen, and for long pieces, I have a more intense breakdown for the plot.
13. What’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
Mmmmmm. The only one that comes to mind is probably 'if a character who is not speaking does an action after another character speaks, put that action in a new paragraph'.
17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)
Typically I'll take a couple days off if I can, just to do a little reset and try to get the brainworm wiggling again, but if it's a problem where I'm just getting stuck or a bit uninspired with what I'm working on I'll either do a sprint as motivation to push through, or I'll jump to a different section in the piece that I have a more active idea for and that part written instead.
41. Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?
Typically I'm a one-and-done, at least for a good while. I'll go back in a couple of years and read again probably.
51. What’s your total AO3 word count?
Currently: 935,200 [That's from 2015 to now :3]
72. What order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?
Typically I do front to back, but if I get stuck I'll jump around and then add the connective tissue between scenes later.
74. You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?
I guess it would depend on the fandom? I don't know if I have a specific tell or phrase or anything, but I think my style of narrative voice is distinct enough for the pieces I put out. Or I could slip up and put the 'Grammarly is My Wingman' tag in there XD

WIP Wordsearch Game I was tagged by @brasideios. Ah! Very lovely reading your snippets!
And I’m adding in little How This Works section because I was a bit confused: The tagger gives 5 words to whomever they tag to find within their WIPs. The next person posts snippets containing those words and chooses 5 random words for the following group to find in their own WIPs. My words were: Spare, situation, certain, real and question.
I did not have the word “real” in any of my WIPS, so I skipped it.
Question and Situation:
These are in my WIP unnamed Chapter 2 for Home Is Where The Heart Is. I hate that name and I resent myself for posting something with such an uninspired and boring title. I have so much trouble writing Brasidas’ pov. Also, I’m increasingly realizing I don’t do well writing too far from my own experiences so writing a hurt/comfort sickfic sounded great while I had a fever but now that I’m better I'm thinking ‘....he was real sick. Like a dog. Brasidas is sad ‘bout it. Idk eventually they kiss.‘ which is not a fun fanfic.
He takes a horse, reasoning to himself it is for a quick getaway or to help with Alexios. Either way, he is sure the horse will be helpful. As he follows the bird’s flight, Brasidas wonders just how deeply his affections for the mistios lie. This is madness, and he knows it, to follow a bird out alone into the woods. The other soldiers know not to question him and his leadership has been solid. He has been dedicated. He knows it is foolish to let his personal feelings override his duty but he does not turn back to camp.
It is not the dark itself he fears, but the unknown. He worries about how to be prepared, but whether his uncertainty is for the current situation or for their whole relationship, he does not know.
Certain: This is from the Chapter 3 (Where I Lay My Head) for Home Is Where The Heart Is. If I could just skip to this chapter than I’d be able to finish this godforsaken fic much easier.
When he awakens again it is to a cloth on his brow. The touch is gentle and he manages to crack his eyes open this time. At first the light stings and he must squeeze his eyes shut again quickly but he is fairly certain this is a face he recognizes. Spare:
From I Don’t Want To Talk. They make up, ok, but I wanted to write Alexidas bickering.
Alexios might say he doesn’t want to talk but his mouth keeps moving. He grimaces, makes a face as if he has tasted something rotten. “What do you want me to do Brasidas? To pretend I agree with your order? Spare me, for one day. I’m not one of your men to command, and not even this” he leans in closer, licks his lips. “Not even this gives you the right to decide my every action”. Brasidas breathes in deeply, can smell a hint of the wine on Alexios’ breath. He gives the other man a moment, letting Alexios sort himself out. “I don’t owe you”, Alexios pauses to spit. “Or Sparta, not really”. Brasidas lets a breath go.
Ok! You guyses turn! Sorry if I’m tagging y’all too much lately @stressfulsloth, @aquila-v, anyone else who wants to! I think ever other fic writer I know has done this or been tagged recently. Of course, no pressure, meus amigues que eu amo <3

hello! i have a question for you if you don’t mind
i’ve been wanting to write fanfics as of late and i was wondering how you do it, like how do you start? do you draft/plan ahead or do you like straight up start writing and see where it goes?
and what are some things you’ve struggled with while writing, and how did you overcome or avoid them?
btw i really like the way you write, it’s so beautiful! have a great day!
P.S. you don’t have to reply if you don’t feel like it! :)
Hi lovely! Of course I don't mind :)
Unfortunatley, I think a lot of it really depends on how you work best, and it might just be something you have to learn through experience. I started out by writing a couple of ficlets that I had ideas for, and making it known (on a pinned post, at the time) that I was open to requests. I sometimes have a really solid idea of where I want a fic to go, and sometimes I just have one little moment or bit of dialogue I know I want to get to, and I just write whatever I can think of that'll get me there. For me, if I don't know what I want when I start, I just write whatever comes to mind and keep in mind that I can go back and edit later.
I haven't been writing on here long enough to really track various troubles over time, but in general I often struggle with feeling like if my writing is inadequate, it's because I'm a bad writer (which is something I've been trying to separate myself from--sometimes a work just isn't up to your standards, and that doesn't mean it's a reflection of your full potential as a writer). Also, anytime life gets too crazy to write or I'm feeling uninspired, it feels like a betrayal of myself to stop writing. But I've been working on letting myself take breaks when writing starts to feel more like work than fun, and I can always come back to it when I feel the itch to write again. Those are just a couple of my own struggles, but I think going easy on yourself and trying to have fun with it have proved pretty solid ways for me to get over most issues with writing.
Thanks for the compliments my love, and wishing you the best of luck if you do decide to start writing fanfics!! <3

Responsibility part 1
I know I said in my update that I feel uninspired and like I can’t write a post like I used to, but I think this one is pretty similar to my old stuff.
Inspired by my last post, and by something I said in one of my posts once, I want to elaborate a bit on how amatonormativity as a socio-cultural phenomenon asserts that the responsibility of fulfilling an individual's emotional needs falls on others.
As a disclaimer, I do believe that there are responsibilities in any close relationship. It is the responsibility of a parent to love and care for their child emotionally. It is the responsibility of a romantic partner or friend to love and care for their partner/friend. And it is the responsibility of a therapist or mental health provider to aid their client's mental health.
But the thing I find curious is that those responsibilities usually fall on other people completely, especially in the respect of love.
When it comes to a person's natural need for love, acceptance, and understanding, it is expected for others to fill those needs, and there’s little or no mention of the person's need for the same things from themself.
Love, acceptance, and understanding are seen as purely social needs rather than also internal ones. It's good that we as a culture here in America are becoming more aware of how important self love is to an individual's mental health, but I also notice things when I read forum threads about someone wanting advice about their self image or when I read articles about self love.
On forums, when someone laments about not feeling accepted, the response is often that it is okay because they will eventually find someone who will accept them.
And in articles about self love, there is often an emphasis on the fact that not loving yourself will negatively effect your relationships.
The most common pitch for self love is that you can’t love others if you can’t love yourself, which isn’t necessarily true, and for people like me who go through periods of self hate, that statement can feel like you are being barred from loving others purely because of your feelings about yourself, leading you to feel as though your lovability and worth is conditional. You start thinking that not loving yourself means you are undeserving of loving others. And of course, the reason that you are undeserving of loving others is because your self hate makes you push people away or treat them badly or make them feel bad for you or because you are a burden to them for struggling with your self image.
While I think one's self image greatly has to do with how they treat others, I do feel that sometimes self love is still seen as a social need rather than an internal need for survival.
I understand this angle somewhat. Like I’ve said before, I feel it is a condition of being human the amount of trouble we have being kind to ourselves, and that it is completely inevitable for one to criticize themself more shrewdly than they would do to someone else.
It is only natural that we feel more motivated by thinking it is our responsibility to love ourselves for the sake of our loved ones. It lights a fire under our asses when we feel no compassion for ourselves. Still, I feel this reasoning leaves out the whole truth.
The more time goes on, and the more I’ve steeped myself in the subject of self love, I realize just how truly required it is to live with oneself in this world.
We humans are capable of introspection. We don't run only on instinct. We are solipsized. We have the ability to really conceptualize ourselves as something very unique and flawed and fallible. And this ability to understand that we are unique and flawed and fallible means that we are able to understand how to modify our behavior better to succeed and evolve. It is how we as a species have managed to achieve so much. Our ability to self reflect drives our survival.
We are animals that are required to understand our flawed state. And it is in our nature to think of ourselves in this way, and evaluate who we are, and place value on who are.
And it is for this reason that self love is so important. We are solipsized, we are doomed to self reflect probably more than is efficient, and so our own self image is instrumental in how we operate in our lives.
This is why our societies are always so cerebral, all about one's own success and status and morality and worth, and all the complication and pitfalls it comes with.

Hi there I was looking for some Alessia Russo stuff to read and came across your page and i had a few questions. First, I was wondering if you take requests? I think I saw on one of your posts that you are however I don’t want to overwhelm you. Second question is what are you not comfortable writing? What would you say is in your writing wheelhouse (fluff, angst, etc.)? Do you have any prompts? And last question I can think of is how detailed do you prefer requests and would you be willing to write series for different players? Thank you for writing and I hope you are doing well while staying hydrated.
Sorry I've been fairly inactive! Life just seems to get in the way :(
I do indeed take requests but I've been a bit uninspired lately. I'm comfortable writing anything honestly, nothing really phases me! I quite love fluff, but I think I'm due to write a bit of angst. I just can't ever leave something at a bad/sad ending!
I don't have any prompts but I'm going to look into this ASAP which might actually help me with the lack of inspiration
In terms of detail, I like knowing who for and a little sentence at minimum, sometimes requests are too vague and don't get the writing gears turning unfortunately! (I have a fair few requests lurking that I will eventually do, I promise!)
I'm 100% willing to write some series for players, I'm tempted to do a whole enemies to lovers orrrr a really drawn out thing of crushing on a player and getting shut down with a sprinkle of angst :)
I appreciate the love❤️
