Single albums and single releases are a pet peeve of mine bc unless you're a small indie artist, it just feels easy and like a cash grab, even if it isn't.

A/N | This is a repurposed version of an old story of mine. I sort of lost all the connection I felt to the plot somewhere along the way but now I've written some 32k words. Point is, I will complete it this time. Please be kind, this is NOT beta read and I haven't posted a fic in a long time - I'm a little rusty. Thank you!
Check out the art created for this fic by the lovely, talented and so very kind @azperja here!

She’s swaying, with no sense of what’s happening around her.
One too many drinks. She’s never been much fun at parties, preferring to stay away from the heart of it all and slinking to the sides, sticking her back to the wall. But tonight, she drinks and she dances and she moves like she’s made of air, like it’s something she’s done for years. When she stops, her head spins for a moment before she gathers herself. As her vision clears, her eyes settle on a pair of mismatched eyes that see her.
He doesn’t look. He sees.
The music blares and everyone’s out of it, but she turns and sees him. Detached from it all, Aemond stands on the balcony with a cigarette dangling lazily from his lips - watching the party unfold, watching her. The realization hits her as their eyes meet.
It’s him. It’s always been him.
She’s not quite sure when the feelings started. She supposes that whenever she’s with him, the air is charged with something electric, better, ready to bubble up to the surface and spill over. It’s always been there. He’s always been there. It makes sense.
She’s not quite sure when she fell in love with him. But if anyone asks, then she’d say the story goes something like this.
Tumblr media
She and Daeron have been joined at the hip ever since she moved to the private media-haven city of King’s Landing, where the who’s who of Westeros came to live quiet, uninterrupted lives. The Targaryens were gracious enough to reward her father’s loyalty with a seat on the board of Targaryen Consolidated, and Jasper Wylde made the move to be closer to the headquarters with great haste. Viserys Targaryen appreciated his promptness and made sure to have his wife help the Wyldes feel at home. Next thing she knows, she’s seamlessly made herself at home with the Targaryen-Hightower kids.
Around the same time, their youngest son with a boyish charm steals her heart - even before she was old enough to understand what it meant to fall in love.
They’re kids when Aegon lets her stand on his toes as he guides her to take his lead. They dance clumsily, in that wholesome way that older brothers do with their sisters - he is the closest thing she has to a brother, she supposes. There is no shortage of Wylde siblings, oh no. Just that they’re all old enough to have fled the nest, while she, at the tender age of six, still stays with her father - close enough to Maegor’s Holdfast, where her friend and his family live.
Helaena sips on her juice with one hand as she watches the centipede move slowly on the back of her left hand. It is clear to anyone who sees that neither Aemond nor Daeron - sitting on either side of her - share her interest. The latter is comparatively more horrid at hiding his discomfort than the former, who even at that age, would bite his own tongue before he made Helaena feel bad.
She laughs as Aegon jokes before spinning her around, much like the princesses in her stories. He’s always been this way, jokes and all light-hearted happiness. She feels like she’s light and airy and flying as he moves her, and soon enough, despite a lack of breath, she wants Daeron to dance with her.
He’d be the prince in her stories, always. Whenever she reads those head-spinning tales of love, it is always Daeron’s face that she sees. Nobody is more bashful or shy than a little girl who gets to dance with the boy she likes.
Daeron seems unaware of the red blooming on her cheeks, laughing as both pudgy little children made their way through the hall as they danced. The sunlight falls through the windows in thin streaks and Daeron’s hair catches the light, making his hair look like it was made of molten silver. His eyes brighten up and she cannot help but smile.
They keep going round and round until she tires herself out and lands on her bum, laughing without a care in the world as Daeron plops himself next to her.
Neither of them notice Aemond watching them from afar.
They're eight years old when Lucerys Velaryon harshly tugs at her pigtails as she sits under the old oak tree on the school grounds, engrossed in her book. The playful mischief on his face isn't new, but today it stings more than usual. Before she can react, Daeron charges at him, fists flying as he ignores the football game he was a part of.
The scuffle draws the attention of everyone nearby, and she watches, heart pounding, as she begs them to stop. Normally, Luke's antics wouldn't escalate into a full-blown fight, but things have changed since that summer. The incident with Aemond, where Luke's careless shove left him with a scarred face and a damaged eye, has created an invisible line between the Targaryen-Hightower kids and their nephews.
Mr. Strong, one of their teachers, quickly intervenes, breaking up the fight. As Daeron lets go of Lucerys, his eyes find hers. "Of course, the Strong boys' grandfather would help them out," he mutters, his voice thick with frustration. It's in that moment, seeing the anger in his usually cheerful eyes, that she realizes - anger is an emotion that is so out of place on him.
Later that day, she sneaks into the infirmary with a handful of colorful band-aids, her small act of kindness in response to the cut above Daeron's brow. While his mother and sister argue in the Principal's office, she offers him the band-aids, her fingers trembling slightly. He grins, selecting the blue one with bright stars on it, and they sit together in silence, waiting for the adults to finish.
Daeron wears the band-aid for weeks, long after the cut has healed and the adhesive has started to wear off. He keeps adjusting it, ensuring it stays in place, as if it were a badge of honor. Every time he sees her, he flashes that full-toothed smile, a silent thank you for her support. It's a small gesture, but to her, it's everything.
She now knows what love is.
Tumblr media
They’re thirteen years old when she begins resenting the girls around her - especially the ones who grow into themselves, with perfect tits and fuller bodies. Not because she’s yet to come into it herself, no.
Because Daeron looks at them longer than he ever did before.
She watches him watch them, her heart sinking each time his gaze lingers on another girl. Of all the girls, she hates Floris fucking Baratheon the most.
Floris - a senior of theirs by a year - with her perfect hair and confident walk, her infectious laugh and me-me-me personality. Daeron’s eyes follow Floris as she moves through the hallways, and it makes her blood boil. Sometimes, in the privacy of her room, she grumbles about how she hopes Floris - a perfectly nice girl - would get run over by a truck or trip and fall to her death.
She doesn’t mean it, not really.
She tries to distract herself, throwing herself into her studies and extracurricular activities. She spends more time with Helaena, who is wonderfully oblivious to the typical teenage drama, and finds solace in their quiet moments together. But every time she sees Daeron looking at Floris, the pang of jealousy returns, sharper than before.
Months pass, and she begins to notice changes in herself. Her body starts to develop, her hips widening and her chest filling out. She thought that maybe, just maybe, Daeron would start to look at her the way he looks at the other girls. But he doesn’t. His gaze doesn’t linger on her; he doesn’t see her the way he sees them.
It’s the first sign, the first painful realization, that perhaps Daeron’s feelings don’t match her own. She tries to push the thought away, but it’s persistent, gnawing at the edges of her mind.
She remembers one day in particular. It’s gym class, and she’s standing with a group of girls, waiting for the teacher to arrive. Floris is there, laughing and joking. Daeron is among them, his eyes bright as he listens to her, hanging onto her every word.
She feels a sharp pang of jealousy and looks down at herself, wondering why she isn’t enough.
As the weeks go by, her frustration grows. She tries to get Daeron’s attention, hoping he’ll notice the changes in her. She wears new clothes, styles her hair differently, even tries to engage in conversations that might interest him. But nothing works. He’s friendly and kind - he always is - but he doesn’t look at her the way he looks at Floris.
One afternoon, she’s walking home with Daeron. The sun is setting, casting a glow over the neighborhood. They talk about school, about their plans for the weekend. It’s comfortable, familiar, but there’s a distance she can’t bridge. She wants to tell him how she feels, how much it hurts to see him look at other girls, but the words stick in her throat.
Instead, she says, “Do you think people change?”
Daeron glances at her, his expression thoughtful. “I think so. Why?”
She shrugs, trying to keep her voice steady. “Just wondering. Sometimes I feel like I’m changing, but nobody notices.”
He stops walking and turns to face her. “I notice.”
Her heart leaps at his words, but it quickly sinks again as she realizes he means it in the same friendly, brotherly way he always has. She forces a smile, nodding. “Thanks, Daeron.”
They continue walking, but the conversation feels hollow. She knows now, with a painful clarity, that no matter how much she changes, she’ll never be the one Daeron looks at with longing. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, but she forces herself to accept it.
Back home, she retreats to her room, the place where she can let her guard down. She sits on her bed, hugging her knees to her chest, and allows herself to cry. The tears come slowly at first, then faster, a torrent of frustration and heartbreak. She wishes things were different, wishes she could make him see her the way she sees him.
As she grows older and explores her own body, the journey of self-discovery becomes a personal and intimate experience. In the quiet of her room, late at night, she begins to understand her own desires. In these private moments, her imagination often drifts to Daeron. Just as his face was the one she envisioned when she read about princes and kings, it is his face that fills her thoughts now. His warm smile, his soft eyes, and the way he laughs—all these details become a vivid part of her fantasies.
As her fingers move gently over her body, drawing out soft gasps and whimpers, she imagines his touch, his presence, and the way he might hold her. The intensity builds, her breaths becoming shallow and rapid.
The name she whispers into the silence is his.
She loves him. She hates him.
She never wants to see him again.
Tumblr media
They’re seventeen when prom comes about.
She’s dreamt about this for years - of her in her pretty blue dress on Daeron’s arm, making their way into the room as all her classmates looked.
Only that’s not how it happens.
Floris and Daeron have been going out for years now, and it comes as no surprise that he asks her to be his date. They’re sitting at the dining table at his house as he recounts how romantic the moment was, and how happily she’d said yes. He has all but stomped over her heart by now.
It takes everything in her to not stab him with her fork. Instead, she nibbles on the chicken nuggets that Criston Cole had made for them to snack on - that’s a new development, really. Soon after the divorce, Daeron’s mum began dating the bodyguard; though he suspects they’ve been together for longer.
But Alicent Hightower smiles brighter and shines more than she ever did in Viserys Targaryen’s presence, so her children don’t find it in themselves to be angry. If anything, they’re very supportive and leave them to be.
When he turns to her with that familiar, probing smile that she loves and asks if she will be going, she murmurs Jason Lannister’s name with a casual disinterest she doesn’t fully feel. Daeron’s smile widens, his eyes glinting with mischief as he pokes and prods, clearly trying to coax a blush from her at the mention of the blonde-haired boy.
She wants to love him, but Jason Lannister simply isn’t Daeron Targaryen. No matter how charming or cute this boy - their senior by a year, a classmate of Aemond’s -  might be, he can’t compete with the phantom of a dream she’s harbored for years.
She finds it increasingly difficult to maintain her composure. The weight of her crushed dreams feels almost unbearable, and the cheerful tone of his voice only worsens the heartache. Unable to endure it any longer, she mutters something about needing to get some fresh air and stands up abruptly. Daeron, oblivious to her distress, casually mentions that he’s planning to meet Floris soon. The words hit her like a cold wave, and she forces a tight-lipped smile before making her way outside.
The air is cool and quiet as she walks along the gravel path, each step feeling heavier than the last. Her mind is a tumult of emotions—sadness, frustration, and a deep-seated ache that she can’t quite put into words. Absently, she kicks at a small stone, sending it skittering across the ground.
The stone makes a sharp, clinking sound as it collides with a metallic object. Startled, she looks up to see the stone has hit Aemond’s motorbike - the pompous prick even gave it a name:  Vhagar. The sound of the impact echoes in the stillness, and her heart skips a beat as she sees a shadowy figure emerge from behind the bike.
It’s Aemond; he’s preparing the motorbike to take with him to university at Oldtown - where she and Daeron will soon follow, with their long-term plans to go to college together. His face, illuminated by the faint light, is a mixture of annoyance that turns into something unreadable. She quickly murmurs a shaky “sorry” before the swell of emotions becomes too much. Her eyes well up with tears she’s been desperately trying to hold back.
He’s curious, but he doesn’t ask why she’s crying. He simply watches her walk away.
Hours later, when Floris Baratheon drives to their house in one of her father’s cars, he sees his brother kiss the girl like she’s the very air he needs to breathe.
Now, he knows what’s happened.
Tumblr media
Nothing goes to plan.
Far from it, really.
In all her dreams of prom, she always imagined that she’d dance the night away with Daeron, empowered by all the spiked drinks she knows she’ll love to have. They’ll keep spinning as they did when they were kids, until they’d slow down in tiredness and he’d lean in and kiss all her teenage heartbreak away.
Instead, she sits with both her legs on the same side on Vhagar, with Aemond Targaryen.
Wrong, it’s all gone wrong.
Her dress is blue and pretty and all that she hoped it’d be, but by the Gods, she wants nothing but to shred it to pieces and never see it again. The neon lights of the diner sign that he’s parked under buzzes and she hates the sound. She’s got coffee in her hands, and she holds onto the cup tight as she lets the warmth seep through her. She’s put on his jacket, and it smells like cigarettes. He’s got her bracelet in his pocket, allowing for the wounds on her wrist to breathe.
He’s leaning on the motorbike right next to her, and she chances a look at him. She wonders what she’d have done, what would have happened to her, if he hadn’t been around. She thanks the Gods that he was.
He lifts the cigarette onto his lips and she sees his bloodied knuckles. She clocks the blood on his shirt and the red stains on his signet ring, one that his father gave him when he turned eighteen. She can’t bear to look at the red any longer; she can’t look at any of it without hearing the sounds of him punching Jason Lannister to near death.
“You could have killed him,” she says. Her voice is devoid of any emotions. She speaks like she’s simply inquiring about the weather.
“He’d have deserved it.” The smoke billows, fades, goes into the air.
He flexes his free hand over his thighs and she lets out a long sigh. “It’s nothing, really. Nothing happened. I’m fine.”
“Wylde.” The anger at her denial is obvious, but he doesn’t push. His mismatched pair of blue and violet eyes flare like never before, but she knows Aemond. She knows he simply wants her to not lie, even if she’s not ready to say anything. “Where was Daeron? He’s always with you like a lost dog, isn’t he?”
She can’t blame Daeron for choosing to spend the night with his date. She won’t blame Floris for keeping him all to herself - she’d do the same thing if he was hers. She can’t blame them at all, but she can’t bring herself to stop the bitterness from making its way. “Busy shagging his date, I think,” she spits out.
“Hm.”
“Don’t tell anyone, please.”
She hates the idea of having to explain to anyone at all what had happened. How Jason had his hands up the skirts of her dress, how she kept nodding no, how he continued despite her saying no a hundred times over. She remembers how he’d pressed her hands against the wall, her charm bracelet poking and prodding and searing as it pressed into her skin and drew blood. All of a sudden, she can’t breathe.
She grips the cup tighter, causing the coffee to spill into her hands and it stains the sleeves of his pristine leather jacket too and the tears fall and there’s nothing she can do and she’d helpless again and-
“Wylde.”
“Don’t tell.” She all but chokes the words out, and hopes and prays that he’ll listen.
“Okay.”
They sit in silence for a time, the city moving silently in the twilight as they take it in. Neither of them says a word, and she finishes her coffee in peace. She notices the steel - Valyrian steel, she thinks - bracelet on his right wrist too. When had he begun wearing all this?
“Your mum won’t like it if she finds out you’ve been smoking, you know.”
“What mum doesn’t know…” he says, the sentence left incomplete for her to get that she isn’t to say a word about any of this.
“Okay.”
Many moments of welcome silence pass, and then she hops off the seat of the bike. The message is clear: she’s ready to be taken home.
The engine hums to life beneath her as they merge into the stream of twilight traffic. She wraps her arms around him, feeling the coarse texture of his leather jacket beneath her fingertips. With each breath he takes, his back expands and contracts, a rhythm that grounds her in the present. The bike vibrates gently, its mechanical purr harmonizing with the distant murmur of the city.
The air is thick with the scent of motor oil, mingling with the subtle aroma of leather and something uniquely him. She breathes it in deeply, letting it fill her senses as the city lights stretch out into the dusk. The streets are bathed in the golden glow of street lamps, their light flickering through the trees that line the boulevard.
As they weave through traffic, the sounds of the city become white noise. The hum of engines, the distant chatter of pedestrians, and the occasional blare of a car horn create a backdrop that feels almost surreal. She leans into him, her cheek pressing against his back, feeling the solid reassurance of his presence.
The wind tousles her hair, cool against her skin, as they take a turn onto a quieter street. The city fades into the background, replaced by the rhythmic click of the bike’s gears and the soft rustle of leaves overhead. She closes her eyes for a moment, allowing herself to be fully immersed in the sensations—the sound of his breathing, the warmth of his body, the steady thrum of the engine beneath them.
They soon stop at her house, and she steps down. He glances back at her, his eyes shadowed with concern. He scans her from head to toe, his gaze lingering on her face. She sees the struggle in his eyes, the words that he cannot bring himself to say. His brows furrow slightly, the corners of his mouth twitching as if he's about to speak but then thinking better of it.
She meets his gaze, her own eyes softening with understanding. Despite the fear still rippling through her, she offers him a small, reassuring smile. “I'm okay,” she murmurs, her voice barely audible over the city's din. She gives his shoulder a gentle squeeze, feeling the tension in his muscles beneath her touch.
He doesn’t speak, but his eyes search hers, silently asking if she’s truly alright. She says nothing, simply leans forward and presses a soft kiss to his cheek, the gesture full of gratitude and something deeper, something she doesn’t dare name. He won’t mind; it’s just a thank you for being there, she tells herself.
He watches her as she steps back, his gaze following her movements. She pulls his jacket tighter around herself, feeling the comforting weight of it, the lingering scent of him enveloping her. As he revs the engine and rides off into the night, she watches the trail of smoke he leaves behind, her heart full and heavy all at once. The jacket feels like a hug, as though he’s the one holding her, even from afar.
When she goes to bed that night, her dreams are tinged with shades of violet and blue.
Her bracelet, one that he’d gently removed and kept in his trouser pocket doesn’t cross her mind at all. Not once.
Tumblr media
She doesn’t see much of Daeron anymore.
She stops visiting Maegor’s Holdfast, though she does show up for Sunday lunch at Alicent Hightower’s insistence. She steps into the house as Criston welcomes her, sunny smiles and easy disposition making her welcome. She momentarily forgets why she’d stopped coming- how Daeron didn’t bother with spending a single moment with her at the prom that he knew she was at, how he’d not bothered to check in afterward. She never even got a chance to tell him herself what Jason had tried to do.
He’s still in the dark about it all, acting like nothing’s gone wrong when she’s slowly removed herself from his orbit. It means Aemond hasn’t told anyone, just as he’d promised.
She looks over Criston Cole’s shoulder and sees Floris Baratheon laughing with Daeron and Alicent, and her scowl deepens immediately.
When the raven haired senior sees her, she comes to her with a kind smile and an outstretched arm that takes her into a hug immediately.
She’s grown weary of strangers touching her since that night, but she holds her own.
The bitterness that engulfs her at Floris Baratheon welcoming her to a house that has essentially been her second home all her life, never quite goes away.
Her feet shuffles and she cancels out all the noise as she absentmindedly makes up bullshit excuses for her absence. She’s seated at the table between Aemond and Helaena, who’d come back home from university to visit for the weekend. The conversation flows smoothly as the juice she has a lot of - the sun is sweltering and she can’t bring herself to eat.
She won’t blame how nauseatingly happy the two of them sitting opposite her are. That has nothing to do with her appetite.
She’s learnt to make her peace with it, how she’d never be the girl that he’d want to be with. She’s content with being his best friend, but lately it seems as though she isn’t even half of that to him. She’s learnt to live her own life without him, but it hurtles her backward and her feet tapping becomes incessant as she watches him break her heart with his next words.
“Floris is going to KLU this summer, I think I’m gonna go too, next year.”
And just like that, their childhood dream of attending college together’s been broken, and it seems as though he doesn’t care one bit.
He looks at her like she’s the only person that exists in his world - she may as well be, at this point - and her anger knows no bounds. She wants to dash out the door and go to her room and take down all her Oldtown University posters and damn it all, damn it all to hell-
Aemond’s hand settles and presses into her thigh, keeping her from tapping her foot any further.
Everyone else at the table seems oblivious to her growing annoyance.
Her eyes meet his and he moves his head, almost as if he is warning her to stay put - but it is calming too, at the same time. She heeds him and somewhere along the way, the hand on her thigh is taken away. She misses the warmth of it, weirdly so.
She leaves with half hearted goodbyes and buries herself in the sheets in her room. An entire tub of icecream is swiftly eaten up as she holds her book in the other hand, willing herself not to cry.
He doesn’t deserve it, he doesn’t deserve her tears-
The bell rings, and the head housemaid of Rain House swiftly makes it to her room and knocks on the door. “It’s Master Daeron for you, miss,” she says, her voice laced with a slight Essosi accent that she still holds onto after years. Her grip on the book is frightening, her knuckles going white.
She walks down in careful, slow steps - her legs feel like jelly as she makes the descent on the staircase.
She takes a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest, as she finally reaches the bottom of the staircase. Daeron stands there, looking unsure and nervous. The sight of him stirs a whirlwind of emotions within her—anger, hurt, betrayal. She steels herself, determined to say everything that’s been building up inside her.
"Why are you here?" she asks, her voice colder than she intends.
"I... I wanted to talk," he says softly, trying to meet her gaze.
"Talk?" she scoffs, crossing her arms. "Now you want to talk? After everything?"
He takes a step forward, but she steps back, putting more distance between them. "I've been busy with—"
"Busy?" she interrupts, her voice rising. "Busy ignoring me? Busy replacing me with Floris? Busy planning a future that doesn't include me?"
"That's not fair," he protests, looking pained. "Floris is my girlfriend, and—"
"And what? That means I don't matter anymore? That our friendship doesn't matter?" Her voice is shaking now, the floodgates of her emotions bursting open. "We had plans, Daeron! We were going to go to Oldtown University together. We talked about it for years. And now you're just throwing it all away for her, a girl you’ve known for what, two minutes?"
"It's not like that," he tries to explain, but she cuts him off again.
"Not like that? You didn't even tell me! I had to hear it at the table, like I'm some stranger! You made me feel like I don't matter, like I'm just... second best."
"You're not second best," he insists, looking desperate.
"Then why do I feel like it?" she yells. "You’ve been treating me like I'm nothing! Do you know what it's like to be ignored by your best friend? To feel like you're losing the one person who meant everything to you?"
"Please, just listen—"
"No, you listen!" she screams, her eyes blazing with fury. "Jason Lannister... he... he fucking  tried to rape me at prom." Her voice cracks, the memory of that night overwhelming her. "Aemond found me. Of all people, Aemond saved me. And where were you? With Floris, having the time of your life, completely oblivious to the fact that I was in hell."
She knows it’s wrong to blame him. What happened that night had nothing to do with him, but she can’t help herself. The floodgates are open after years of quiet, and she is on a roll.
His face pales, and he opens his mouth to speak, but she doesn't let him. "You promised we'd go to college together, you promised we'd always be there for each other. And now you're breaking that promise for her. You're betraying our friendship for someone you've known for a fraction of the time you've known me."
"I didn't know," he whispers, tears forming in his eyes. "I didn't know about Jason. I'm so sorry."
"Sorry?" she echoes, her voice dripping with bitterness. "Sorry doesn't fix this. Sorry doesn't undo the pain you've caused. I hate you, Daeron. I hate you for making me feel worthless, for betraying our friendship, for everything." He steps back, stunned by her words, and for a moment, they just stare at each other, the weight of her anger and his guilt hanging heavily in the air.
If she says any more, she may tell him she’s been in love with him all this time and embarrass herself further.
"I fucking hate you," she says, her voice icy and final.
He looks ethereal even in his sadness, and she hates herself for thinking about how beautiful he looks even then.
He opens his mouth, as if to say something, but then he closes it, a quiet apology dying on his lips. Without another word, he turns and walks away, leaving her standing there, her heart shattered but her resolve unbroken. As the door closes behind him, she collapses on the staircase, tears streaming down her face, the enormity of her outburst sinking in.
Tumblr media
The days that follow blur together in a haze of bitterness and exhaustion. She clings to Elinor Beesbury and Ellyn Baratheon, doing her best to go about her business without causing a stir. She avoids Daeron at all costs. The pitying, sad look he gives her from afar makes her consider forgiving him, but then Floris Baratheon sits right next to him and his attention is stolen. In those moments, she remembers why they fought in the first place.
“I’m sorry about you and Daeron,” Ellyn says one afternoon. “Floris said you had a fight and don’t speak to each other anymore.”
“Floris says, huh?”
“She is my sister, you know.”
“Hm.”
She never lets these conversations go on for too long, cutting them short before the pain seeps through her facade.
In truth, though, she’s tired of holding onto her grudges. She deserves to be a little hateful, but she’s never been the type to be angry for too long. But she’s not a Septa either, not quite as forgiving. This half-in, half-out approach exhausts her more than she wants to admit. Each day feels like a battle, her energy sapped by the effort of maintaining her cold indifference.
Summer break comes soon, and with it, the promise of rest and a new year of school that would follow. She doesn’t call her father - Jasper Wylde is often on trips for work that she never asks about. Summers used to be filled with laughter and adventure when her mother was alive, but there hasn’t been much joy in the house since her passing. So she wallows, feeling the oppressive weight of solitude and grief.
Usually, she’d spend her summers with the Targaryens. Alicent never minded having her around and even loved entertaining her like her own child. The Targaryen household was a second home, a sanctuary filled with warmth and belonging. But she’s got her pride, and she won’t go now. Not after everything that’s happened.
The Targaryens often retreated to their summer house in Oldtown, where the Hightowers lived. The memories of those summer vacations flood her mind, making her want to double down and cry. She recalls the grand manor with its sprawling gardens, the scent of salt in the air from the Sunset Sea, and the endless days of sun-drenched bliss.
They’d spend hours lounging by the pool, with lemonade and cold treats while the children splashed and played. Evenings were filled with elegant dinners under the stars, laughter echoing through the hallways, and the comfort of a family that, despite their flaws, loved deeply and fiercely. She’d felt like she belonged there, like she was part of something bigger than herself.
But now, those memories are tainted by the ache of loss and betrayal. She’s haunted by the image of Daeron and Floris, their laughter and closeness a stark contrast to her own loneliness. The joy she once felt in the Targaryen household now feels like a cruel reminder of what she’s lost.
She tries to distract herself, diving into books and mindless TV shows, but nothing can truly drown out the emptiness inside her. The isolation gnaws at her, a constant, nagging pain that she can’t shake off. She misses the days when she could simply be herself, without the heavy cloak of anger and sorrow weighing her down. She misses the carefree summers, the feeling of being loved and wanted.
Tears often come unbidden, hot and angry, as she lies in bed at night. She curses herself for caring so much, for letting him cut her so deeply. She tells herself she’s strong, that she doesn’t need him or anyone else, but the ache in her chest tells a different story.
He’s just some boy, she tells herself. But she’s also quick to fight her own words: He’s more, more, more.
She wishes she could turn back time, to before everything fell apart. To when Daeron was her best friend, her confidant, her rock. When her mother’s laughter filled the house and summers were something to look forward to. But those days are gone, and she’s left to navigate the wreckage on her own.
Her heart feels heavy with the weight of unspoken words and unresolved pain. She’s tired of being angry, tired of feeling like she’s fighting a losing battle. But the hurt is too deep, the wounds too fresh. So she puts on a brave face, holds her head high, and tries to move forward, even though every step feels like she’s walking through quicksand.
She sits on her bed, staring blankly at the pages of a book she isn't truly reading. Her mind is far away, lost in a whirlpool of memories and pain. The house is eerily silent, amplifying her loneliness. She feels as if she’s adrift in a vast ocean, with no shore in sight. Her phone buzzes on the nightstand, but she ignores it, knowing it's probably another call from her father that she won't answer.
A sudden knock on her bedroom door startles her. She wipes away the tears that have been silently streaming down her face and tries to compose herself.
"Come in," she calls out, her voice weak as she expects the house help to call her for food.
The door opens and Aemond steps in, holding a box. His presence is a mix of comfort and awkwardness, as if he's not sure how to approach her in this state.
"Cole made Tiramisu," Aemond says softly, holding out the box. "Mum asked Daeron to bring it to you or call you over, but he rambled on about how you’re angry at him and won’t speak to him."
Her room is a blend of organized chaos and personal touches. Bookshelves line one wall, filled with novels, textbooks, and sketchbooks. A stack of half-read books sit on her nightstand, and her art supplies are scattered across a small desk in the corner. Posters of Oldtown University adorn the walls. A few framed photos of her and her mother and happier times with the Targaryens are interspersed among her drawings.
Aemond walks slowly, his eyes taking in the details. He runs his fingers lightly over the spines of the books, glancing at the titles. He pauses by her desk, picking up a sketchbook and flipping through a few pages. He sets it down gently and moves to the posters, studying them as if trying to understand what they mean to her.
"Your father called this morning," Aemond continues, his voice gentle. "Your staff picked up and said you’re here, but you refuse to pick up his calls. He practically begged Mum to send someone to check in on you. He’s worried."
She sighs, feeling a mix of guilt and frustration. "I don’t want to talk to him. Or anyone, really."
Aemond places the box on her bedside table and sits down next to her, his expression one of genuine concern as the mattress dips. He doesn’t look at her directly at first, his eyes wandering over the room as he gathers his thoughts.
"You don't have to talk if you don’t want to. But you can’t shut everyone out forever."
She looks at him, her eyes filled with unshed tears. "I’m just so tired, Aemond. Tired of feeling like this. Tired of being angry and hurt."
His gaze finally settles on her, and for the first time, he sees her, well and proper. She’s not quite sure how to feel about it all.
He passes the box to her wordlessly, and she picks up the spoon on top of it before holding the box with her other hand.
She looks down at her full hands, not quite being able to summon the courage to look him in the eye. "I just... I don’t know how to move on from this. It’s like everything is falling apart, and I can’t fix it."
“Eat,” he demands. So she does. She smiles at how good it is.
“So Criston’s been cooking a lot, huh? He’s gonna put all the kitchen staff at your house out of business.”
“Yes, from bodyguard to personal chef. Quite the promotion,” he says, but there is a soft smile that follows. “He makes mum happy.”
“Good. She deserves that.”
She extends a full spoon to him, but he declines with a shake of his head. Neither of them say anything, and she continues to eat. The silence is deafening but comfortable by all accounts. The only sounds are the soft clinking of her spoon against the box and the distant hum of life outside her room.
Aemond shifts slightly, making himself comfortable on the edge of her bed. He watches her with a quiet intensity, his presence a steady, grounding force. He’s never been one to fill silence with meaningless words.
His eyes wander around the room again. He notices a framed photo on her nightstand, half-hidden behind a stack of books. It’s a picture of her with Daeron, taken during one of those sun-drenched summer vacations. They’re both smiling, their faces bright with happiness.
She sees his pity, and she chooses to ignore it.
Her expression hardens for a moment, then softens into something more reflective. She sets down the Tiramisu and reaches for the picture, moving across him. She chooses to not focus on how warm his breath is on her as she moves, instead focusing on her fingers tracing the edges of the frame.
"Do you remember this day?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
Aemond nods. "Two years ago?"
She sighs, a mix of nostalgia and sorrow in her eyes. "I miss it. I miss how simple everything was." I miss when I felt wanted.
“Hm.”
Turning her gaze to Aemond, she finds herself filled with a deep sense of gratitude. "Thank you for coming, Aemond," she says softly. "I didn’t realize how much I needed someone to be here with me until you actually did."
He lets out a noiseless, subtle chuckle - as is his habit. She continues, feeling overwhelmed by how thankful she is. "I’ve pushed everyone away. I thought it was easier to deal with everything on my own. But now... I’m just so grateful that you came.”
They sit in comfortable silence for a while longer, the weight of her grief and anger easing with each passing moment. She feels a sense of clarity she hasn’t felt in a long time. Her head feels heavy, however - she leans on his shoulder, and he lets her.
Somewhere along the way, their hands entwined had been left to rest on her thigh. She doesn’t give it much thought apart from how warm her hand is in his hold.
Almost an hour later, they stand in the living room as he readies himself to leave. She looks out the window and sees Vhagar parked outside, and she quickly remembers. Darting to her room, she comes back with his jacket from the other night. She wordlessly hands it to him, and he smiles by the corner of his lips as he puts it back on.
“When do you leave for Oldtown?”
“Day after tomorrow.”
“So this is goodbye then?”
“Only for a time, I think. Or have you changed your mind about Oldtown now that-”
“Daeron’s ditched me?”
He doesn’t respond, choosing to not extend her invitation for a pity party.
“I haven’t given it much thought lately. I probably should. I just… college was an experience that we were going to take on together, you know? I never thought of what it would be like if I had to do it alone.”
“Hm.”
“I’ll learn. Just… not right now. I’m just going to lick my wounds for a bit.”
He begins scratching at his cuticles and she grabs the hint. “You should get going. Lots of packing to do, I bet?”
“The staff took care of it.”
Of course they did. He’ll never have to lift a finger, silver- haired Targaryen prince that he is.
“Economics, huh? And then an MBA along with an internship at one of Targaryen Consolidated’s major divisions before your father puts you in one of the high chairs?”
He blushes at how predictable his path seems to her.
“If it counts for anything, I feel like you were made for this. Born for this.”
He nods, letting her words of affirmation wash over him as he finally makes a move. “You take care of yourself, yeah?” He murmurs, his lips warm against her brow as she stands, basking in his welcome warmth.
He withdraws too quickly for her liking.
Once again, she watches him ride the motorbike away from her as she stands on her front porch.
Tumblr media
He'll miss her when he goes.
The realization strikes him with the force of the cold wind that stings his cheeks as he rides. It’s a sharp, undeniable truth that cuts through his thoughts, leaving him momentarily breathless.
He had come to return her bracelet, a simple task with a clear objective. He should have done it when she’d returned his jacket. Yet, standing before her, seeing the familiar glint in her eyes and the way her hair framed her face, he found himself unable to follow through.
The bracelet's weight was a physical discomfort, pressing against his leg as if to remind him of her.
Perhaps that’s why he chooses to take it with him to university too.
Tumblr media
Months later, she doesn’t know what to expect when she bumps into Daeron at the library - but it’s certainly not this.
It’s not quite bumping, to be honest. She’s off in the corner studying, the same corner that they used to share. It seemed that he still favored the same table, because he came to it too, only to freeze in her presence.
Neither of them says a word until he weakly mumbles.
“Hey.”
She gulps and quickly stands, the awkwardness pervading her very senses as she - for the first time in her entire life - feels uncomfortably clueless around him. “I was just leav-”
He’s quick to cage her, and her breath is knocked out. She remembers a time when she’d have killed to be this close to him.
“You’re not going anywhere till we talk.”
She’s tilting her head to the side in a defeated motion but he does not deter, so she sighs and gives in.
How bad could it possibly be?
They’re on the sidewalk, walking together but as strangers - a stark contrast to how it used to be. The reminder is sharp as a horrid pain shoots through her skull, a dull headache forming at the thought of all that has happened coming back. Her hands clutch onto the straps of her backpack tighter than ever before, knuckles going white.
She buys them their drinks as he gets what used to be their regular table at Nightblooms, the quaint cafe near the school that she loves. His Sunspearino and her King’s Landing Iced Tea are cold in her hands as she takes them over to the table. She pushes his glass to him wordlessly as he mutters his thanks.
She absentmindedly stirs with her straw, eyes trained on the floor. The awkwardness is seemingly never ending, but he’s always been quite the seamless crowd puller.
“How have you been?”
Her nod is all over the place as she focuses on the wall behind him, and he sighs. “Seriously, how long is it going to be like this?”
Her nose flares at his apparent impatience - what did he expect?
“I know you. I know you. You’re not the kind to be angry for long. So why are you being like this with me?”
She still says nothing, now sipping on her drink as she looks out the window, watching the herd of vehicles passing by. She counts two green cars before he continues.
“I miss you. I miss… my best friend.”
There it is. The words she’s hated her entire life.
“You seemed to be doing fine without me earlier.” She’s bitter and it’s pointless, she knows. She’s perhaps even taking it a bit far. But she feels the way she feels and there’s little she can do to make it go away.
“I made a mistake. I am sorry for it. Do you really not want to forgive me?”
She shouldn’t. She hates how he treated her. She hates how he left her behind. She hates how after all this time, he can still pull her in like nothing’s happened. She hates him, him, him-
Most of all, she hates how little it takes to get her to forgive him.
She hates how much she misses him too.
“I was in love with you, you know.” The words tumble out before she can even make sense of what she’s saying.
And there it was.
She’s dreamt of saying this to him a hundred different ways - not one of her dreams involved them seated across each other like this, with her barely holding onto her sanity.
It takes all of her patience to not pull her hair out right then.
“I know.”
Words are usually wind, but these are a boot-clad foot; they threaten to crush the life out of her with each moment that passes.
Tumblr media
“I asked him why he never said anything, and he said he didn’t want to hurt my feelings.”
“Hm.” She hears the sound of a lighter click on the other end, and she knows he’s smoking. She can picture him clearly. His black t-shirt, hair in a slick man bun, his leather jacket probably slung to the side or left haphazardly on his bed on a throw. The smoke would billow out in small puffs as he flexes his knuckles like he always does.
“And then we just… I don’t know. Just sort of sat there for a bit. “
“Hm.”
“We didn’t say much after. I was much too embarrassed to continue and he seemed tired as well. Just finished our drinks and he insisted on walking me home.”
For what seems like a long moment, Aemond says nothing. The silence stretches between them, but it's not uncomfortable. She can hear him exhale slowly and there's the soft rustle of his jacket as he shifts. She knows Aemond is there, just taking his time to process everything. The distant hum of the city is barely noticeable against the rhythm of his steady breathing, the occasional flex of his knuckles making a soft, almost imperceptible pop.
She stretches on her own bed before shifting to her side and finally asks, “Are you still there?”
“Yes,” he replies, his voice softer now. There's a pause before he continues, “Are you… do you still have feelings for him?”
Her breath catches slightly. She hasn’t been asked this directly, not ever. “It hasn’t completely gone away,” she admits. “There’s always going to be something there. But no, not quite as I used to.”
He hums again, and she imagines him taking another drag of his cigarette, the smoke curling around him. “Good. Maybe it’s time to focus on other things. Other people.”
She smiles at his gentle nudge. “Yeah. Maybe it is.” She takes a deep breath, feeling a bit lighter. “Speaking of other people, have you made any new friends at university? Meet anyone interesting?”
Aemond hesitates, and she can almost hear him weighing his words. “Yeah, a few people.”
She grins, sensing an opportunity. “Anyone special?”
He’s silent for a beat too long. “Hm...”
“Is that a yes?” Her excitement is barely concealed.
“Perhaps.”
Her grin widens. “Oh, come on, Aemond. You can’t just say ‘perhaps’ and leave it at that. Tell me!”
He sighs, and she can tell he’s trying not to smile. “There’s someone, but it’s nothing serious.”
Her curiosity piqued, she presses on. “What’s their name?”
“No.”
She laughs, teasing him. “Give me something!”
“Hm.”
“Just a hint?”
“No.”
She pouts, though she knows he can’t see it. “You’re no fun.”
He chuckles softly, the sound warm and familiar. “Nothing much to say. It’s… too soon.”
He’s never been one to divulge at her insistence, but she can’t resist one last playful prod. “Fine, but you owe me details eventually.”
“Maybe,” he says, his tone somewhat lighter than before.
She smiles, feeling closer to him despite the distance. “I’ll hold you to that, you know.”
She can’t see him, and he’s quite far away - but she’s convinced he’s smiling, in that arrogant, self assured way that he always does.
Tumblr media
She’s two months away from completing school for good when her acceptance to Oldtown arrives.
She’s under no illusions about any of it. She may be smart and have great grades, but it is her family’s faint traces of aristocracy and their connections to the businesses of some of the greatest families of Westeros that makes the stick fall in her favor.
She’ll just have to make sure she’s worth it.
I’m in, see you in 3 months, she texts him. The waving ellipsis forms in his chat almost instantly, and she knows he’s happy for her.
Congratulations . Happy for you.
Moving away for university and starting fresh is her only motivation to keep going, she finds. The idea of a clean slate is too enticing for her own good, but she cannot help it. She is excited at the thought of Oldtown - the architecture, the weather, the libraries and the cafes can only be much more beautiful now than when she saw it all as a baby on vacation.
And there’s Aemond too.
There are many happy things to look out for. But as months pass and the time to leave dawns closer , there’s simpler pleasures - like her father being back in the city to see her graduate.
The graduation ceremony at the Visenya Targaryen Memorial School unfolds with all the grandeur one might expect from such an exclusive institution. Nestled amidst meticulously manicured gardens, the school buildings stand tall. Ivy-clad stone walls, expansive lawns, and ornate iron gates contribute to the atmosphere as some of the most prestigious and richest families assemble to see their children mark their first major milestone.
Students clad in crisp white dresses and tailored suits gather in anticipation. The scent of blooming roses mingles with the soft murmur of excited chatter, creating an air of expectant joy. The girls’ dresses, delicately embroidered and paired with modest pearls, and the boys’ sharp suits, complete with silk ties make them all look perfectly ready to step into their generational wealth.
The ceremony takes place in a grand marquee set up on the main lawn, its white canopy fluttering gently in the breeze. Inside, rows of elegant wooden chairs are adorned with satin ribbons, and an aisle carpeted in red velvet leads to a stage draped in the school’s colors. The stage itself is framed by two grand, blossoming floral arrangements.
"You look so much like your mother in certain lights," he says softly, kissing her good luck on the cheek before taking his place among the other parents. He tucks a piece of stray hair behind her ear before he goes.
The Targaryens, of course, occupy the front-row seats, a privilege owed to their immense donations to the school, their status as the wealthiest family in the country and the name on the school gates. However, Criston is notably absent from their midst, instead seated among the other parents. An image must be maintained, and hell would break loose before Alicent Hightower is seen in public with the man who was once her bodyguard, especially in the company of Viserys.
She feels a pang of sympathy for Alicent; Criston spent far more time with Daeron than Viserys ever did and deserves to be at the front more than his father. The politics of appearance, however, dictate otherwise.
Helaena has come back to watch her brother graduate. Having begun her master's in microbiology at Oldtown, she is soon planning to go into research. Aegon and Aemond, however, are off on a trip. Despite his absence, Aemond sends her a text, offering his wishes and congratulations. The text is followed by a drunk jumble of letters that she manages to decipher as ‘Thank fuck you’re done with school,” which she assumes is from Aegon.
The graduates are called to the stage one by one, their names echoing through the marquee, accompanied by held back and dignified applause. When her name is finally announced, she takes a deep breath and walks up the aisle, her heart pounding with a mix of nerves and excitement. She receives her diploma with a graceful nod, her gaze briefly meeting Headmaster Strong’s in a moment of shared respect.
As she returns to her seat, she catches her father's eye, his expression beaming with pride. She also notices Daeron watching her, having already received his diploma. The fleeting glance between them doesn’t make her angry or tired anymore, and she knows a conversation between them is due.
After the ceremony, she mingles with her classmates, posing for pictures with Elinor Beesbury and Ellyn Baratheon. As the photographer captures their smiles, she catches sight of Daeron across the lawn. He stands with his hands on Floris' waist, speaking animatedly to Borros Baratheon and his wife. They look happy, their faces lit with genuine smiles and laughter.
The crowd around them seems to blur as she and Daeron finally walk towards each other. She notes the easy way Daeron holds Floris, and a surprising realization dawns on her: she doesn't care as much anymore. Perhaps this is what closure feels like, or maybe she's simply over him. The certainty eludes her, but the weight on her heart feels lighter.
"Congratulations," she says, her voice steady despite the flutter in her chest.
“You too.”
“So, KLU?”
“Yeah.”
“Good, uhm… I am happy for you, you know?”
“I know. You never had it in you to be angry for long at me.”
She doesn’t know if she wants to laugh or wring his neck for making her feel taken for granted. She chooses to smile instead.
“I think it’ll be good for us,” she says. “This time away.”
“Suppose so. Guess we’ll have quite a few stories to tell when we meet again.”
Floris’ laugh is distinctly light and they hear it from where they stand. “You’re happy.”
“I think so,” he says. She doesn’t know what to make of his uncertainty.
“Last chance to come with me to Oldtown,” she chuckles, a brazen attempt at a joke.
He chuckles. “Are we laughing about this now?” The sound of a camera clicking them makes them both turn. It is Helaena with her polaroid camera, and they’re both quick to swarm her to take a look at what she’s captured.
The visual slowly comes to life as she shakes the ever loving life out of the photo. Daeron is laughing with his head up to the sky, and she’s slowly chuckling with the back of her hand covering her mouth, her eyes looking at him.
It’s almost as if they’re best friends again.

After midnight is Anakin’s favorite time of the day. His kids have been asleep since 8:30 pm— their weekday curfew— and he’s finally stopped working on the project he brought home from work. It kept him from watching 101 Dalmatians with Luke and Leia but “it needed to be done.”
He completed it well after the twins went to sleep, his neck was aching, and he needed to unwind. Now, he’s settled on the left side of his king bed, back propped against the headboard and his tablet waiting for him on the nightstand. He’s been thinking about this all day. Ever since he got the notification at 1:48 p.m. that HoneySuckle uploaded a new video.
While he was at work. On a very busy day, he might add. As much as he wanted to get away to watch it immediately, he couldn’t. But now he has uninterrupted time to enjoy himself and the woman he’s about to watch.
Anakin watches HoneySuckle exclusively. For over three years now, he has been subscribed to her page for $7.99 a month, which is an absolute disgrace to the quality of content she puts out. That’s why he tips her at least $200 for each video. It’s a number that hardly means a thing to Anakin. But to HoneySuckle, it is everything. It’s a cushion for incidentals. For the flat tire on her Mini Cooper. The vet bill for her orange tabby, Panini. She has expressed her thanks to him in their private messages, but it never seems to be enough.
Their casual conversations are never enough.
It comes as a great surprise to Anakin to see that her newest video is dedicated to him. Him— Anakin Skywalker AKA skyguy81. AKA HoneySuckle’s biggest fan and number one supporter.
Squirting for Sky 🖤
He’s never clicked on anything faster in his life. The edges of his brain are beginning to fog. The mere thought of Honey getting off to the thought of him makes goosebumps prickle along his skin and his cock begin to swell. But then he sees what she’s wearing. Or, not wearing for that matter. Usually, she’ll begin videos with a full set on. Whether it’s a lacy bra and panties, a teddy, or a babydoll, teasingly taking off her lingerie is part of her brand.
Not in this video, though. In this new 23 minute video, she is wearing a black garter and thong with roses embroidered in the mesh along her hip bones. Sheer black stockings are pulled up to her thighs and as she spreads her legs— dear God— Anakin sees that her panties are crotchless.
Every video is expertly angled so only the bottom half of her face is on camera. She’s mentioned to Anakin in the past that this is not her full time job and therefore some anonymity is important. He doesn’t need to see her whole face to know she is beautiful.
“I bought this just for you,” Honey says directly to Anakin. “You said you liked black. I hope you like this.”  She goes to grab the vibrator next to the pink dildo on her bed.
“I love it,” Anakin mumbles. Running her hand over one of her bare breasts, she turns on the vibrator. The familiar hum of the toy reminds Anakin to put on his headphones. Just in case.
Now with that taken care of, Anakin can begin taking care of himself. It doesn’t take long for the guy to get hard when he’s watching Honey. Hell, he can just think about her and he’ll be horny. The melodic cadence to her voice, the angelic sounds she makes when she cums, the lustful desire to bury himself in her cunt. She is the only woman he has desired since his wife and he doesn’t even know her name. But he knows the curves of her body as if he’s felt them with his own two hands. God, how he wishes he could touch her, kiss her, pleasure her.
It’s pathetic. He is pathetic for wanting the impossible. Anakin Skywalker is a smart man. A genius in many regards. Yet he’s delusional enough to think her messages might mean something. That this video dedicated to him means something.
Of course, it doesn’t. Everything about his conversations with Honey is transactional. It’s part of her job. That’s it. Nothing more. You’re not special.
But fuck, does it make his cock hard thinking this is all for him. Well, this is for him. The title of the video says so. With her legs spread nice and wide, Anakin can see how wet she has become from the vibrator on her clit.
Stiff and dribbling precum on his belly, Anakin wraps his long fingers around his equally long shaft. He swipes his palm over the tip to lubricate the rest of his dick. Honey has now turned off the vibrator and grabs the dildo. Despite its playful color, it’s a formidable size. A similar 7 inches to Anakin’s cock, she opens her mouth and the tip disappears. Then a little bit more… and a little more… until she’s gagging. She pulls it out of her mouth with a loud gasp. Messy strings of saliva fall on her chin and chest.
“Fuck,” she breathes. “I love choking on your cock. Feeling it so deep in my throat until I can’t breathe.”
This sends a jolt through Anakin’s whole body. His cock lurches in his hand and he knows all too well that his hand will simply not suffice tonight. He pauses Honey’s video and reluctantly gets off of bed to retrieve his Fleshlight from his hidden stash in the closet. Usually, his hand does just fine. He’s used to it by now. Being a single dad in his early forties and the CEO of his own company, he doesn’t have time to go on dates. He has one woman on his rolodex of hookup numbers and even then, he doesn’t contact her often. Usually it’s her who needs him. He prefers it that way, anyway.
Anakin returns to his bed with the barely used Fleshlight in hand and immediately resumes the video. Honey continues to give the dildo a blowjob, making Anakin ache for it to be his cock in her mouth. He can only imagine how warm it is. How he’d make her relax so he can shove his entire length down her throat. How she’d sound choking on his dick and not some pink toy.
Again, she holds it in her mouth until her lungs are screaming for air. Anakin ruts his hips up into his fist. He’s waiting to use the Fleshlight until she puts the toy in her cunt.
Which is right now. She lines the tip of it to her opening, pushing the head in teasingly before removing it and dragging it along her folds.
“Have you been good today? Do you deserve to fuck me?” The seductive nature of Honey’s voice is so familiar to Anakin, yet every time dirty talk drips from her lips, his spine tingles.
“Please, Honey,” Anakin whispers, hovering the opening of the Fleshlight over his cock. “Put it in, baby.”
As if obeying his command, Honey pushes the toy into her hole. At the same time, Anakin lowers his own toy onto himself. The tight Fleshlight sucks in his dick and it damn near has Anakin’s eyes rolling to the back of his head. He’d forgotten what it feels like… how similar yet different it is to real pussy. Fuck, what he would do to have his cock in Honey’s actual cunt. The best he can do is use his overactive imagination.
Honey is thrusting the dildo in and out of her and soft moans fill Anakin’s ears. He yanks the Fleshlight up and down—a lazy way of using it, he knows— but it does the job. “That’s it…” he breathes. His heartbeat is racing impossibly fast, chasing down an orgasm that is going to arrive far too soon. “I fuck you so well, don’t I, Honey?”
“Mm…” she whimpers, pushing the toy deeper and further into her.  “Your cock’s so big… fills me up so well. Feels so good!”
“You have no idea how good I could make you feel,” Anakin growls. In his mind she’s on her back, just as she is now. Her knees are pushed up to her ears and Anakin is thrusting into her tight hole to no end. He’s so deep, he can see himself in her stomach. He kisses her, finally tasting her on his own lips. Their tongues are doing a dance, his fingers are on her clit for maximum pleasure. And she’s screaming his name. She can’t believe how good he fucks. How he, at 42 years old, can last as long as he has. “I’m not fucking geriatric,” he’d say. He’d make her cum at least twice before he does, just to prove a point.
Honey then takes the dildo out of her cunt and brings it back up to her mouth. Anakin removes the Fleshlight. She hollows her cheeks around it whilst reaching for the vibrator. She turns it back on and returns it to her clit. Her toes curl at the sensation and a moan is muffled by the cock in her mouth.
“Let me hear you,” Anakin encourages, no matter how silly and pointless it is to do so. “Please, Honey. I love hearing you moan.”
She takes the dildo out of her mouth to announce that she’s going to cum. “Oh, fuck. Fuck!”
She’s squirming on the bed, mouth shaped in that glorious ‘O’. As her orgasm rattles through her body, she keeps the vibrator on her swollen nub and returns the dildo to her pussy. Anakin follows suit and sheathes his cock once again, thrusting his hips up to the speed Honey is fucking herself.
“I hope you…fuck, that feels good,” she is interrupted by her own pleasure. It’s her authenticity that Anakin adores and enjoys the most. It never feels like she’s performing. “I hope you’re making yourself feel as good as I feel. Are you fucking your hand? Your mattress? A pillow? I bet you wish you were in my tight cunt. Don’t you?”
“Yes,” Anakin breathes. He is on fire now. He’s not sure the coil in his belly could get any tighter. He’s going to cum soon and Honey hasn’t even squirted yet. There’s five minutes left of the video. “You wouldn’t believe—ah, fucking hell— wouldn’t believe how badly I want to fuck you.”
“I’m gonna squirt! Oh my God…please cum for me. Cum while I squirt for you!” Honey removes the dildo as the clear liquid sprays from her cunt. Anakin abandons the Fleshlight and takes over with his tried and true hand. He’s pumping quickly, he’s mesmerized by Honey and how she squirts a little more each time she puts the dildo back inside of her and pulls it back out. Her back is arching off of the bed as she drops both toys and cums one last time.
Anakin is cumming now, too. His sack twitches up toward him while he releases his load on his belly. He stuffs a fist into his mouth to silence his moan. He bites down on his own hand with fervor, and it hurts. He isn’t completely finished when he hears her utter the words ‘last video.’
Wait, what?
He needs to go back. Surely, he didn’t hear her correctly.
“I hope you all enjoyed yourselves while watching. I know I did. This is a bit of a last hurrah for me. I’m starting a new job next week and I just don’t think I’ll have the time to upload, so this might be my last video. Thank you for all of the support over the last three years. I had a great time. Kisses, HoneySuckle.”
And that’s the end of it. Anakin is stunned. He watches her video again. And then once more. There's a lilt to her voice that makes Anakin think she is happy to be done with this. He should be happy for her. But he hangs onto the word ‘might’.
Honey said this might be her last video. Anakin shouldn’t feel so fucking relieved that his favorite OnlyFans performer might still upload videos. What is wrong with him? He has no real connection to her whatsoever yet he feels disappointed by the idea of not having her videos in his life anymore.
Fuck it. He sends her a $500 tip, a little message and goes to wash up.
.
.
.
Panini is pressed against your side, purring contentedly while you stroke his back absently. You’re wrapped in a sherpa cozy in bed while watching The Great British Bake Off. It’s your bedtime show. You’ve probably seen every series at least 3 times, simply because it’s the show you put on to go to sleep. But most of the time, you end up staying up to watch it as if you’ve never seen it before.
Your phone lights up with a notification. You glance at it but immediately do a double take. You grab your phone off of your nightstand and stare at the screen with your jaw dropped.
Skyguy81 sent you a tip!
$500
You pause in the middle of Prue Leith giving her thoughts on someone’s Showstopper. You swipe right to open the message.
That was spectacular, Honey. From the lingerie to the beautiful way you cum. You certainly know how to put on a show. I must admit, I was a bit disappointed to hear that it might be your last video. You are the only performer I watch. I will miss you. I wish you the best of luck with your new endeavor.
And I know what you are going to say. “It’s too much.” It is not. Please accept the tip as a token of my appreciation. You helped me feel less lonely on the days I needed someone the most. - Sky
Why do you feel like you’re about to cry? Sky has been your top supporter since you began uploading videos during COVID. It was just supposed to be a way to make ends meet. To pay off the student loans and any other financials that came up. The tips started off relatively small. $50 here, $75 there. He was the first to give you a $100 tip.
Then, after about a year, he upped it to $200 after each video. Your thank you messages to him turned into conversations. Short ones, never deep or personal, yet you feel like you know him. You feel like…no, it’s silly. You feel like he could be a friend. If you both weren’t hiding behind a screen and fake names, maybe you actually could be.
You begin typing a response.
Sky- I am going to say it anyway. THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH!!! You have been far too generous to me over the years. I don’t deserve it.
He replies in a matter of seconds.
I have to disagree, Honey. I wish I could do more for you.
Like what?
I would take you out to a nice dinner. Perhaps share a bottle of wine while we get to know each other.
Would you take me home after?
Whose home?
Whichever you’d like.
I’d take you back to your house and leave you with a goodnight kiss.
That’s all?
You would like more?
What the hell are you doing? Are you actually flirting with this man? He could be 60 years old and bald! Not that there’s anything wrong with being 60 or bald, but come on. You’re in your 20s. You have to have some limit. You stare at his username. Skyguy81. Maybe 81 is his birth year? So, that would put him at 42. 42 isn’t too bad…
Oh, what the hell. It’s not like you’re actually gonna meet this guy, right?
Well, I might wear something special underneath my dress. Something that I paid for with the money you’ve given me. Wouldn’t you want to see it?
Yes. I would.
What would you do if you took me home?
When you don’t hear back from Sky after thirty minutes, you assume he fell asleep. It is nearly 1 a.m. on a Thursday night. Or is it early Friday morning? Regardless, he probably has work in the morning.
With a rather loud yawn, you decide it’s time for you to go to sleep, too.
.
.
.
Luke and Leia barge into Anakin’s room at 7:30, dressed and ready to go to school while their dad is still fast asleep. He must have slept through his alarm. Luke is poking him in the side and urging him to wake up.
“Alright, I’m up,” he grumbles, scrubbing his hands down his face. “Have you two eaten?”
Leia nods. “Eggos and orange juice.”
“I wanted a Toaster Strudel,” Luke says.
“And I told him we don’t have any Toaster Strudels,” replies his twin sister.
“Yes we do! You just didn’t look hard enough.”
Anakin pinches the bridge of his nose. He feels a headache coming on. He didn’t drink last night, so why does he feel hungover? “Ahsoka ate the last one when she was here on Tuesday, remember?”
“Oh yeah,” Luke recalls.
“Dad, we’re gonna be late for school if you don’t get out of bed,” Leia says.
Anakin checks the time on his phone. Your message from last night is at the bottom of his notifications. He already has five work emails to answer. His calendar pings with reminders about meetings and his assistant’s retirement party. “Bring your things to the front door. I’ll be down in a few minutes.”
In the rush of getting himself dressed, not only does he put on two different pairs of socks but two different pairs of shoes, too. He doesn’t realize this until after he enters the office and Dorothy, attentive as ever, points it out as he’s walking past her desk and into his office.
Dorothy is 74 years old, a widow, and owl fanatic. She has been Anakin’s assistant since he started the company 20 years ago. “Did you get dressed in the dark, Mr. Skywalker?”
Even after two decades of Anakin’s insistence on calling him by his first name, Dorothy continues to defy him. “I overslept,” Anakin answers. “I was rushing to get ready because you know how Leia gets when she’s late to anything.”
Dorothy nods. “Yes, she is the most punctual 9 year old I know. I presume you did not eat breakfast.”
“No, I didn’t.” Anakin opens his emails.
“Why don’t I get you an egg sandwich from Dexter’s after I retrieve a matching pair to one of your shoes.”
“I didn’t ask you to do that.”
“You didn’t have to.”
Anakin cracks a smile. Dorothy has always been two steps ahead of Anakin. She’s been somewhat of a mother figure to him over the years. She believed in him when no one else did. How many people are going to put their faith in a cocky 22 year old with wild engineering innovations? Dorothy was there when his wife passed away and nannied the twins off and on for a few years while Anakin regained his bearings. His heart contracts. He is truly going to miss her. “Do you have to retire, Dorothy?”
“I’m afraid so,” Dorothy replies with a bittersweet smile. “You will be just fine. And I trust my successor will attend to your needs just as well as I have. I picked her myself. I know exactly what you need in an assistant, Mr. Skywalker.”
Did Dorothy just wink at Anakin before leaving his office? What the hell does she have up her sleeve?
.
.
.
Gold and brown leaves dance across the concrete in the courtyard of Skywalker Enterprises. The autumn air bites at your cheeks and you’re thankful you decided to wear a beanie along with your plaid pea coat.
You notice Dorothy’s silver hair before the rest of her as she walks toward you with two cups of something hot in her hands. “Good morning, Y/N.” she hands you the cup.
“Good morning, Dorothy,” you reply with a smile. You lift off the lid to smell the contents. The steam tickles your nose before recognizing the warm spices of Chai. “You remembered my drink order?”
“Of course.” Dorothy sits across from you. “I trust you went over the files I sent you regarding Mr. Skywalker? How are you feeling about the job?”
You take a meager sip of your Chai latte. It’s still too hot to drink. “I read all of them at least three times. He doesn’t seem too high maintenance.”
“Far from it,” Dorothy replies.
“But…” you begin, wondering if you should even mention it.
“What is it, dear?”
“I just find it a little strange that I haven’t met him. I would’ve assumed he’d be part of the hiring process. Isn’t it important we get along?”
“Oh, don’t worry about that. Anakin gets along with everyone! He’s a charmer,” Dorothy sips on her drink. “He entrusted me with finding a replacement for myself because I know him better than anyone. I know his needs better than he knows them. And you, my dear, have shown you are more than capable to take over. Your references spoke very highly of you.”
Right. Your references— one of which was your best friend who pretended to be a famous influencer who you “assisted” for 2 years after college. The other was a family you nannied for for only 2 weeks while the wife was out of town and the dad thought he could pull off some fantasy of fucking the nanny. The only good thing that came out of it was him telling you he’d give you a stellar reference for your next job. Turns out he wasn’t lying.
“So, I’ll start on Monday? By myself? No shadowing or anything?”
Dorothy nods. “I will officially be retired by 5 p.m. today. After which, Mr. Skywalker is yours.”
Don’t you wish. You’ve seen photos of him in Forbes. It’s an understatement to say he’s handsome. And it would be a lie to say you didn’t apply for the job because of his looks. By some miracle you were chosen out of hundreds of applicants and hired. You’ve signed the papers already. You’re officially on the Skywalker Enterprises payroll. Of course, you’ll be on probation for 90 days but Dorothy seems confident you’ll be a good fit.
Hopefully you will live up to Anakin Skywalker’s expectations.

Blood Born
Hi hello! Sorry I disappeared, life has just been happening lately no matter how much I tell it not to. Anyways, below the cut you'll find Noah Sebastian with a mysterious secret doin the nasty bc I'm nothing if not a monster fucker.
Warnings: Mentions of blood, mentions of weapons, dirty nasty p-in-v smut, Noah's monster cock (canon), praise kink, there's some biting too. I think that's everything but I'm really tired so if I missed something, let me know! Enjoy!
________________________________________________________
New Orleans had always been one of Noah’s favorite cities.
He’d been partial to the French, anyway. Liked the way they baked absurd little confections, the way they fucked without remorse- the way they’d put each other’s head on a pike just to get a leg up in court. He’d been fortunate enough to be endowed with a pretty face, and there were few things the French liked more than that.
Which is where he found himself now, walking through the French Quarter, looking for dinner. There were approximately a million restaurants with old signs beckoning him inside, but Noah had lost a taste for that kind of food long before he stepped foot in this city.
He smelled you before he saw you.
It was the off season, if such a thing existed for a city like this. You were bundled up in a jacket, hurrying through the streets. It was chilly, even for this time of year, the wind making its way through your hair to whip in every direction. That must have been what blew your scent his way, the intoxicating scent of jasmine and an uninterrupted heart beat almost making him stiffen up where he stood, across the street from you. He mourned your scent as you ducked into a building, trying to escape the chill. You didn’t reek of alcohol the way most people in this area did- if he had to guess, he’d say you probably hadn’t had anything stronger than a glass of wine tonight. The thought of how that would taste had him darting across the nearly empty street to follow you into the building quickly.
He didn’t get a good meal often. The drunken strangers he usually managed to entice sated him in the way a pint of blueberries would satisfy a black bear. It was hard to find a sober person who would let you bite them, and the ones who did come along were, well, strange to say the least. As if he had any moral high ground.
The inside of the building was warm, dimly lit. He spotted you immediately, in a far corner by the bar, alone.
Blessed be to the old gods and the new. He thought to himself. He wouldn’t even have to lure you away from a group. He could easily seduce an individual, but multiples were hard when he was hungry.
He made his way over to where you sat, sitting around the corner so he could face you, but not be in your personal space. “Whiskey neat, please.” The bartender nodded once, pouring something foul and cheap-smelling into a glass with an ice cube. Noah fought back a grimace at the stench.
“Oh, come on, Remy, don’t give him the fucking Jack Daniel’s.” A voice called next to him. “If you want to cheap out, do Crown. Who the hell voluntarily drinks Jack?”
Noah slowly turned his head to where you sat, frowning at the bartender, who was rolling his eyes in return. He did remake Noah’s drink though, with something decidedly more palatable.
As he sat the drink down and walked to another patron, Noah turned to you. “Thank you. I was having a difficult time coping with the thought of that on my palate.”
You flashed him a grin. Briefly, he wondered what it would feel like to breathe again.
“No worries. Remy likes to give the tourists the bottom shelf shit, but you seem like the sort of guy who knows his whiskey.” You took a small sip of your wine, something deeply red that made Noah shift in his seat ever so slightly.
He inhaled once. “Grenache?”
You raised an eyebrow. “You know your wines, too. How could you tell?”
He shrugged, taking a sip of his drink. “Lucky guess.”
You cocked your head to the side curiously. “I’ve never seen you here before.”
“I’ve never been here before.” Noah responded, emotionless.
“January is an odd time to visit for someone who’s never been here before.” You prodded further.
Noah couldn’t fight the smirk on his face. “Must you always play with your food?” Jolly had sighed once. “Maybe if I had a better tour guide, I would know that.”
He turns to look at you know, registers every emotion that crosses your face. Your pupils widen noticeably, your back going a little straighter. You were making this too easy for him.
“You’re in luck, I happen to know a gal.” You’re beaming at him- a sweet, lopsided grin as you take a gulp of your wine and introduce yourself. Noah watches the movement of your throat as you do so, responding with his own name. He takes a moment to drink you in.
Your jacket is gone now, but you’re still wearing a sweatshirt for a school he’s never heard of (Which, to be fair, is most of them.) Dark jeans cling to your legs where they sway idly from the barstool, your feet not touching the ground. Your hair has been pulled away from your face, but a few wisps escape and kiss the sides of your cheeks. He realizes, almost startled, that you’re beautiful.
A dignified kind of beautiful, not the otherworldliness that his kind manages. He knows he’s attractive, but it’s the same kind of beauty that humans see in tigers, snakes-  A warning sign, a mark of predation. The kind of beauty you admire from the other side of bullet proof glass.
You, though- you’re so warm. He can feel your warmth, even from over here. It transcends physicality; Warmth that is visceral, in your eyes and your lips and the scrunch of your nose reacting to the cold.
“Hey, you okay?” Your soft voice shakes him out of his thoughts. “You looked sad.”
His eyes lock with yours, finding such human concern that if he could have wept, he would. You looked like you cared for people. He had not been cared for in a very long time.
“Yes, sorry. Zoned out for a second there.” He quickly finished off his drink. “I would love to take you up on that offer, though. It would be nice to see the city from a local’s perspective.”
He was a dirty liar. He knew the earth of this place before the French could even see it from their ships. It was wild then, and wild now- though in different ways. He could see the old wild in the eyes of workers practicing their vaudou and the shadows that lingered at the edge of the swamps surrounding the city. It beckoned, a siren’s call out to the murky depths of the region. Colonizers said they “settled” the territory, but everyone old enough to remember knows that lands like that don’t settle.
He supposed he was, in some ways, a marriage of those wilds. He remembered the things that lurked in the shadows… and now he was the thing lurking in that same darkness, however many lifetimes later.
“You know,” You interrupted his thoughts again, grabbing your coat in the process, “You get this really old-and-wise look on your face when you zone out. Are you thinking about war crimes, or mac ‘n cheese?”
He smiled despite himself. “Mac ‘n cheese.”
You blinded him briefly with a smile in return. He knew instantly that he would regret this, but followed you out the bar nonetheless, throwing a bill onto the counter without looking back.
You walked alongside each other in companionable silence until you spoke up.
“So, what brings you to the city alone?”
Noah smirked at the ground. You didn’t even try to disguise your inquiries. It was refreshing.
“I was supposed to be visiting friends, but they’re not here anymore.” It wasn’t a lie- not the truth, but certainly not a lie.
You frowned. “You didn’t think to check that your friends lived here still before you came?”
Noah shook his head. “I was actually just passing through- decided to stay a few days.”
You nodded, as if his non-answers made any sense. It reminded him of how he would nod at the eloquent words of his elders when he was a child, like pretending he was wiser than he was would somehow allow the wisdom to materialize out of sheer will. A thought occurred to him. “How old are you?”
“Oh, I’m 25.” You responded, turning to cast a glance up at him. “You?”
He found he didn’t want to lie to you. “Older than you.” Was the answer he settled on.
You snorted, surprising him. He raised an eyebrow in question.
“Come on man, that’s like, the most ‘Guy Older Than 27’ thing to say.” You rolled your eyes at him. He couldn’t remember the last time someone rolled their eyes at him.
He grinned anyway, not looking at you. “Fair enough. I am older than 27.”
You gave him a sidelong glance. “Why so cryptic? Scared I’ll send you back to the nursing home you escaped from-”
You were cut off as he crowded you up against a wall, staring down his nose at you, arms on either side of your head. “You’re kind of mouthy, you know that?”
“Then shut me up.” Your words were rushed, like they escaped before you could think them over properly. He hesitated for only a second, then leaned in to kiss you.
You bloomed like a flower in spring for him, lips parting in a gasp, chest heaving as color rushed to your cheeks. He felt drunk as his tongue traced your lip, hands coming down to grasp your hips. You parted after only a few moments, breath ragged.
“I live about a block from here.” Your intentions were not lost on him.
He took a step back, gesturing for you to lead the way. You finished your nighttime stroll soon after, quickly pulling out your keys to unlock your front door.
Noah pauses at the door. Some of the superstitions were all too true. You turn around to face him, framed by the light of your entryway.
“Well, come in then. It’s cold.” You urge him, holding the door open. He lets out a breath he didn’t need.
He follows you inside to the warm interior. He’s taking in your interior decoration choices when you pounce, pulling him to your mouth. He happily obliges, deepening the kiss and wrapping an arm around your back. He felt your hands come up to his chest, pushing him away.
“Did you want to stop-” He began, until you interrupted him.
“No, but thanks. I’m just trying to get us to a flat surface that isn’t my hardwood floors.” You gave him a sly smile, taking him by the hand and tugging him through the house.
His eyes could see in pitch black, but he was still thoroughly impressed by how you could navigate in the dim light. You must have lived here for a while.
You flung open a door with ease, still pulling him behind you. He could see the bed as you shoved him onto it, crawling on top of him. He was grinning as you leaned in to kiss him again-
Then you stopped.
He suddenly realized, not reacting quickly enough as you scrambled off him and flipped on the lights.
“Your teeth-” You began, then froze as you took in the sight of him. He already knew what you were seeing. Blood vessels protruding around his eyes. His irises, sclera- blown pitch black. Cold skin even paler than usual. He could feel them now, behind his lips-
Fangs.
“What the fuck is going on?” You were too calm, given the circumstances, given your words.
Noah could only imagine the look on his face; Shame, embarrassment, regret. “I’ll go-”
“No no no, nuh-uh. You’re going to stay right there and explain what’s going on or I’ll scream bloody murder and Mr. Joe will come over with his 42 and we’ll have real problems.”
Noah stilled, though probably not for the reason you were wanting. “I’m sorry, did you just threaten to shoot me? I grew teeth, I’m a big scary monster, you can’t just shoot-”
“Yes I can! And I will! I’m crazy! I’m not scared of sexy scary monsters, I’m from backwoods Louisiana, pal! I’ve been hunting! I-”
“You think I’m sexy?” Noah could feel his eyes returning to normal as he grinned at you.
“Shut up.” Your voice cracked, betraying you.
Noah stood up, cocking his head to the side. His fangs were retracting now, disappearing from view. He gave you a long look.
You looked pissed, which was new. He was more accustomed to fear, knew how to respond to it, soothe it. You had a glint in your eye that looked different from just anger, almost like-
Betrayal. The earth whispered to him.
He took a deep breath. He could still smell arousal on you. “I’m sorry, this wasn’t… how I wanted this to go.”
“Then how did you want it to go?” You threw back at him.
“I- I don’t know! I thought we could hook up and then I’d leave when you fell asleep and I’d find some rando on the way home and-” He stopped short, unsure of how to continue.
“And what?” You prodded, sounding fearful for the first time that evening. Good. You should be scared. He was a monster- an old one. For all you knew he ate virgins and burned down villages.
He looked down, unable to meet your eyes. “And… drink their blood.”
You exhaled, long. “You kill people to eat?”
His neck snapped up at you. “No, no! Oh my god, no. Just a nibble and I’m on my way-” He stopped at the giggle you let out. “Excuse me?”
“It’s just,” You straightened your face. “You eat people and refer to it as a ‘nibble?’”
“I don’t eat people.” He deadpanned, giving you a look.
“You just drink their blood.”
“Right.”
You both stared at each other for a long moment.
“So why-” You began.
Noah motioned for you to continue.
You blinked. “Why the fangs, then? If you weren’t going to… y’know.” You averted your gaze.
A movement Noah quickly mirrored. “Oh, um. It’s like- an arousal thing. Pretty girl kisses me, fangs pop out.”
You were looking at him again. “You think I’m pretty?”
He met your eyes. “Yeah. Prettiest thing I’ve seen so far, and I’ve been around for a while.”
You took a slow step towards him. “How often do you eat?”
“Um, once a week, if it’s good. Maybe twice if it’s not.” He responded automatically, trying not to think about how bizarre this conversation was.
Your head tilted slightly. Another step. “How long has it been? Since you’ve… fed?”
He was watching you carefully now. Then, very quietly, he said “Two weeks.”
Something like concern flooded your eyes, and you almost winced at him. “That’s a long time to be hungry.”
He could see your jugular on your neck, pulsating with life. He said nothing in response.
You took another step. “Would it help if you… fed on me?”
He looked at you sharply, processing your words in seconds. “No.”
“Why not?” You countered, cocking a brow.
Why not? The earth whispered at him again, voice a caress in his ear. He could smell you- Alive, fresh and-
Fertile. The familiar voice supplied. He fought the urge to roll his eyes. I’m not going to tell her she smells fertile, he retorted.
“You can’t think of a good reason.” You assumed, staring almost directly into his silence.
“I could hurt you.” He supplied helplessly.
“And that’s worse than hurting someone else?”
He tried again. “No- it’s not, but-” A deep breath, “I can’t stand the thought of hurting you.”
You placed a hand on his arm, too warm and too close. “Then I’ll just hurt you back.” You were so close to him, when did you get this close- “You look awfully hungry, Noah.” You murmured, looking up at him through your lashes.
It was impossible for him to misread your body language as his hands came up to grip your hips, tugging you closer to him. He could feel your nipples hardening where your bodies met.
“You can tell me to stop, okay? Whenever you want, just say the word and we’ll stop.” He was panting now, salivating in anticipation as his canines slid back out.
You nodded. “I’ll let you know if anything changes.” Then you kissed him again, sliding your tongue over his fangs in a move that made him outright moan into your mouth. He scooped you up in what was obviously a feat of superhuman strength, chucking you onto the bed.
He made quick work of your clothes, pulling your shirt over your head in a swift movement that had him pausing to stare. “Blessed be to the old gods and the new.” He breathed, taking in your pert nipples, breasts swaying at his hasty movements. He leaned in, running his tongue from your sternum, up through your breasts, stopping only at your neck. “Do you taste as good as you look, love?”
Your cheeks reddened. “Let’s hope so.”
He grinned, a wicked, awful thing, tugging on your pants until they slid off, leaving you in just your underwear. “Wanna see a trick?”
You did not want to see a trick, you decided as your body betrayed you and nodded anyway.
He came down to eye-level with your mound, slowly and carefully hooking a single fang on the fabric, sliding it directly through your panties until they were completely torn open.
You gaped, unable to form words.
“Sorry, those were cute. I’ll make it up to you.” Noah promised as he spread your legs open for him.
You felt exposed, vulnerable. Your entire body went red as he watched you. He ran a finger up your slit, making your entire body shudder. “Oh? Baby likes that?”
You nodded, blinking rapidly. Noah swatted your inner thigh, not enough to hurt, but enough to get your attention. “Use your words.”
Your cheeks grew even pinker. “Y-yes, I liked it.”
He leaned down, caging you in. “Want me to fuck you?”
“Please.” You whispered. His eyes went pitch black again.
“Good girl, already knows to beg.” He backed off of you, tugging off his turtleneck sweater, revealing a fully tattooed torso. Your mouth went dry at the sight. “Again.” He demanded.
“Please.” You obeyed, still barely above a whisper.
“Prettier.” He demanded again, unbuckling his pants.
“P-please, Noah, please-”
“Almost there.” His pants hit the floor, revealing a pair of equally as inked legs.
“Please, I’ll be so good, Noah, please, let me be good-”
“That’s a good girl, good job. C’mere.” He sat back down on the bed, the outline of his cock clearly visible in his briefs. You wanted to feel, to taste.
You obliged his command, crawling over to straddle his lap.
“Here’s how this is gonna go, pretty thing.” He began, sliding a finger inside of you as he did so. You gasped, latching onto his shoulder for support. “I’m going to get you nice and loose, then you’re going to ride me, like this. Understand?”
“Yes sir.” You stammered as he added another finger.
“Ooh, nice manners.” He praised, dropped a kiss to your jaw. You shivered at his touch. “When you feel like you’re close, you’re going to tell me, and then I’m going to bite right-” he rubbed a small line on the side of your neck- “Here. Does that sound okay?”
You nodded, then remembered to say “Yes, yes, sounds wonderful, sounds amazing, Noah fuck me please-”
He chuckled quietly, lifting you up ever so slightly to align himself where he had pulled down is briefs. “You ready?”
“Noah I swear to whatever gods, old and new- fuck.” Your rampage broke off into a moan as he slid himself into you. His thrusts were short at first, letting you adjust, until you finally sank all the way down.
You were panting when you finally bottomed out. “Big- ‘S so big.” You whined, clenching and unclenching on him involuntarily.
Noah’s breaths were equally as ragged. His hands had come to rest on your hips, thumbs rubbing soothing circles on them. “Whenever you’re ready.” He placed another kiss on your forehead.
You waited another few seconds, then pulled up experimentally. The drag of him inside you had a long moan escaping your throat. You dropped down, gasping, rising up again. You repeated this until you were riding him in earnest, moans and gasps escaping you both.
You didn’t know how Noah was managing to hit that bundle of nerves inside of you every time you sank down, but he was. You draped your arms on his shoulders, leaning in to kiss him deeply, fangs tugging on your lip ever so slightly. “You look so good riding my cock baby, look so good with a big cock in you, like you were made for this-” Noah’s profane train of thought continued on until it was white noise in your ears. You registered that your thighs were shaking from the effort, but you couldn’t stop, not when you were so close-
“Close.” You panted. “Fuck, Noah, I’m so close, so close-”
He pulled your hair to the side quickly, teeth lining up with your throat.
“I’m gonna cum, I’m gonna cum-”
The world went white as Noah sank his fangs into your throat and you came, release squirting all over the both of you as your body shook.
You panted as he sucked at your throat, eyes fluttering shut. One of his hands was rubbing at your back, the other snaked around your waist. You stayed like that for a few minutes more, until you almost felt light-headed and he released you with a soft “pop.”
You blinked at him sleepily as he laid you down against your pillow. He stood up, tugging up his boxers and turning to walk away. “Are you leaving?” You slurred, sounding sad even to yourself.
You could hear his little laugh. “No, I’m getting you a snack and some water. I know I’m dreamy, but I can’t have the ladies passing out on me.”
You rolled your eyes as he disappeared, faint clattering alerting you of when he found the kitchen.
When he returned, you were more alert, taking the water and gulping it down. You took a second to look at him.
He was beautiful before, but now- wow.
His hair was silky, skin still pale but not so lifeless. His eyes were richly dark, amusement seeming to dance in them. “Y’know,” You began, “You’re really pretty when you’re not starving to death.”
If he could have blushed, he might have. “Back at you.” Was his response, handing you crackers.
You nibbled on them while he went about dressing himself. “You’re not staying?” You did your best to not sound disappointed.
Noah shot you a smile. “Sadly, no. I have to get back to my hiding hole before the sun comes up.”
You nodded, looking down. “Will I get to see you again?”
“I have a feeling you’ll be seeing entirely too much of me.” Noah responded, sounding amused.
“What makes you say that?” You questioned, confusion written on your face.
“Because you broke the cardinal sin of running around with a vampire.” Noah grinned, looking devious. “You invited me in.”

Hiii again!!
can I make a request about g!p minji x reader fcking in the library?
I got too excited with this idea😁
Secret crush.
You have been struggling in school for the past two months due to some family issues and just life has been exhausting and draining, you weren’t dumb you just needed a little break and someone who takes care of you. From the start of the school year you have been getting decent grades, they were good but if we compare it to the amount you study for you should definitely get better grades, that really did unmotivate you because what do you mean someone who didn’t even touch a book will get a better grade than someone who pulls all nighters, skips meal just to study and never skips a class? You are happy for them but still there is a little unpleasant feeling inside you that you can’t deny ,And on top of that your family starts complaining about you not trying hard and not getting full marks. So you thought about what is the point of trying hard but still not reaching?
The way your grades dropped made your teacher really unhappy because you definitely weren’t dumb in fact you were very intelligent so she decided to talk to you and try to convince you to get a tutor and maybe she can help you choose one.
“___can you stay a little after class, we need to discuss something?”
You were tired and wanted to go home, you wanted to deny but what if she has something important to say?
“Sure” you replied with tired eyes that anyone could literally notice that you hadn’t been getting proper sleep for days, and yeah you don’t even remember when you last had that 10 hour uninterrupted sleep.
Class ended faster than usual, once all of the students went out of the class the teacher sat you down and took a deep breath before starting to talk.
“___ has anything happened home or do you have something going on that is not very pleasant…since your grades been dropping and I’m wondering what’s the reason and if we could try to fix it?” She spat, she really didn’t want to express her thoughts in a hurtful or negative way so she tried to sound as kind as possible.
You took an exhale before speaking “miss everything is going fine at home it’s just that I’m very unmotivated towards school and my mental health overall is not really helping with school” you spoke trying to sound as ok as possible even tho tears are starting to well in your eyes, recalling everything that is happening and all of your family problems.
“I see, do you think if we could ask a student to tutor you so you could perhaps make friends at the same time while studying do you think that would help you a little? And ___ you are nowhere near stupid you just need a little push and that will get you started all over again and I care for you, you are one of my favorite students here, always kind and enthusiastic to learn new things so seeing you like this really does hurt me.” She uttered in the most comforting tone ever, you smiled at her request and nodded because maybe that will make your school life and mental health better “a tutor could work!” Your teacher smiled warmly at your answer “then I will look for a tutor” she said, she lastly bid you goodbye and you went home a little smile on your face knowing that you have a new start and could improve.
The next week the teacher gave you the name of the student who will tutor you and when will you meet, the first lesson would be in the library. Damn, you haven’t been there for a long time you thought to yourself. You checked the paper that the teacher gave you once more and you looked at the name again “Minji”. You have heard the name before but the image of the person didn’t really click. You decide to pick a place near the entrance of the library so as soon as minji steps inside she could see you, you dont think she even recognize you but let’s just hope for the best.
You waited silently for about seven minutes till you saw a girl with a school uniform, your school never restricted what the students wear but that’s what she is comfortable wearing, now the image clicked, She is minji! You have never interacted with her nor your friends did but she was known for having one of the best grades in school if not the best. She was quiet, didn’t really have much friends, a bookworm and kinda cold or perhaps a better word distant? You always saw her with a book in hand or had her head deep down writing something. She didn’t really put much effort in socializing but one thing undeniable about her was her beauty she was that handsome type of beauty. You waved your hands at her you were maybe too excited she just walked towards her expression hard to read, she always had a resting face.
“I was kinda late, sorry” she spoke a little cold it gave you chills, is she always this serious? You didn’t expect any type of laughter or giggling but a little smile wouldn’t hurt anyone!
The tutoring session went pretty smoothly she told you the basic stuff and you immediately got the hang of it, like the teacher said you weren’t stupid you just needed someone to take interest in you. It was very silent, yeah a library is supposed to be silent but this maybe was too silent. You looked around and saw no one near you or even far away from you. You looked at the entrance of the library and there was no one even the bored librarian wasn’t there you looked around a little more and there was literally no one. A panic immediately started to hit you, you can’t be stuck in here seriously. Minji saw how uncomfortable you were and decided to give you a little hug whispering “hey calm down, we are going to get out of here. Let’s call someone” minji maybe was too calm about this whole situation but deep inside she was having a little panic attack. Yeah she didn’t show much emotions but that didn’t mean she didn’t care about people’s feelings, she just couldn’t express with words but her actions did.
You called the school principal and he said that they will come get the both out while waiting you decide to make a little chit chat to burn some time and comfort you a little. “I know this might sound weird but have you had any crush” this was the basic middle school dudes question while playing truth or dare but in this situation you didn’t honestly care, If she wants to think your weird then so be it. “Yeah” she answered tone little softer now, as a nosy person you couldn’t help but ask who, “oooh do you mind telling me who?” You said to excited, she gave you a little smirk making a point below your stomach tingle “what about I will describe it and you should guess, I’m pretty sure you know them” she said in a seductive voice immediately shocking you seeing the new side of her, your not complaining tho it was pretty hot. “Why not, tell me” you said too excited. “Hmmm well she is a girl, she is very gorgeous and adorable, she has never interacted with me before but did now and Uhmm her mental health hasn’t been the best which was secretly hurting me. I have always admired her from a far” she uttered scooting closer to you. Her description definitely had some suspicion in you, deep inside you wanted it to be you but the chances of her licking you were very very slim. “Uhm I don’t…know, please tell me” you stated. She was so close to you now, “hmm sure why not” she brought her face near you inches a part. Your breath hitched and you closed your eyes, she brought her plush lips to your pair and soon you felt something kissing you softly, when she moved her lips from yours, you were shocked a good shocked tho. “Did this tell enough, princess or…?” She questioned looking deep into your eyes, intoxicating you with her pair of eyes almost like hypnotizing you and before you knew you grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her into a deep kiss passionate and warm. She immediately kissed back, placing her hand on your upper back and gently laying you down. She took her skirt off revealing her erection, and damn, was she big? She was huge and her length being hard doubling it size. Without much of thinking you grabbed it touching it earning a groan from her, she was thick and had girth. You went on your knees and saw how her tip was filled with precum. Your tongue exploring her tip and length, her precum was very creamy but salty. Her hand found its way to your neck and squeezed it “don’t tease doll!” Her breath hitched. You tried to take her in one go but she was too big. She gave you a dark giggle full of lust “too big for you baby?” You tried to take her one more time but you gagged uncontrollably while coughing. But still you wanted to please her so you started sucking half of her length, bobbing your head around it. Soon after she started twitching inside your mouth, breath getting faster and moans getting louder. Without warning her thick white salty cum filled your mouth. She looked you in the eyes “swallow it, all of it” and as a good girl you obeyed her, swallowing her release. She was satisfied, way too satisfied. “On all fours baby, mommy is going to reward you for being so good” the excitement of her words flood your brain and your body immediately reacted to her, taking off your pants and panties leaving you with only an oversized shirt. And getting onto all fours, she groaned seeing how obedient you are for her. She couldn’t wait anymore and gave you her whole length, not even letting you adjust to her, immediately thrusting passionately hitting spots you never thought existed. Bumping into your g-spot and to spots people never even named. Her ruthless pace never cooled down if anything it only got rougher, with few more thrusts and few ass reddening spanks your release flood all over your thighs. Her relentless pace didn’t stop, the way you got now tighter made her eyes roll back and a hitched groan came from her “fuck baby so tight”. With how clenching you are around her length it didn’t take her long to feel her high close. Few seconds later she pulled out and white sperm got released on your back.

Broadcast Interference
Disclaimer: This is a tickle fic, so if that isn’t your thing, then just ignore this.
Summary: Vox and Alastor’s rivalry is no secret to anyone. What is a secret is the more… interesting ways they deal with each other
TW: Tickling (Intense, seriously), Swearing, Restraints, Drinking, Vox and Alastor are both Bastard Men, Mentions of Cannibalism
Idea inspired by this post by @coolbananas143
Really, everyone should have expected this sooner or later. A rivalry like Vox and Alastor’s doesn’t just stick to insulting each other via radios and television screens. No, at some point, it gets physical, and it’s better for everyone to just stay out of their way. Thankfully, the residents of the Hazbin Hotel had unintentionally done just that.
It was no secret that the Television Overlord spied on basically everyone in Pentagram City, and the Hazbin Hotel was no exception. Sure, at first the monitoring could be chalked up to either “it’s just what Vox does” or “He’s watching the hotel to keep track of Angel for Val.”, but upon learning the Radio Demon had returned from a seven year absence to just throw himself into Charlotte Morningstar’s passion project, well, Vox couldn’t stop monitoring the hotel.
He had waited for the perfect opportunity, one where no one else besides Alastor would be at the hotel. Sure, Vox would have loved a captive audience to his triumph over that old-timey prick, but all in good time. He wanted all of Hell to see just who was in charge, and that would only happen when he found a way to record Alastor without the Radio Demon distorting the video. For now, however, this would do.
Alastor was going to be alone. The Princess had decided on another little ‘bonding excursion’, and as predicted, the Radio Demon had declined to go, most likely finding it beneath him. Ah, how that ego of his would be Alastor’s undoing. After making sure everyone else had left, Vox zapped himself through to the camera closest to the hotel, landing right in front of the doors.
‘You’re in for quite the surprise, you old-timey prick!’ The TV Thought as he entered the hotel.
Alastor knew something had been wrong ever since Charlie and the others left. He wasn’t alone in the hotel, much to his annoyance. The Radio Demon had been hoping for one day where he could be uninterrupted, but this was Hell and that was wishful thinking. In hindsight, he should have sent his shadows to see who dared infiltrate the hotel, but he was the Radio Demon, he could take care of any lowlife sinners who tried to deface or destroy the hotel.
What he hadn’t been expecting was Vox, looking like he had been waiting for Alastor. That pompous, sorry excuse for an Overlord had made himself at home, even pouring himself a drink from Husk’s bar. How he ate and drank wasn’t something Alastor wanted to question, what he wanted to know was why Vox had dared to step foot into the hotel.
“Just wanted to see what was keeping you so busy.” Vox responded casually, deliberately reaching over the bar instead of going around it, just making a mess. “There’s so much tacky fucking circus decor in here, is that what little princess Morningstar is running? A circus?”
“I can assure you, they were not my doing.” Alastor growled, his already thin patience for the TV wearing down further. “It’d be best for both of us if you left. With all your limbs still attached.”
“Try me, old man.” Vox dared.
“I would say I’ve been dying to eat you, but I’d rather not expunge my guts today!”
Insults soon turned to assaults, a bottle flying at the Radio Demon. Tendrils spawned from the ground, making a grab at the TV Overlord, but Vox had learned from their last fight. The two scuffled for some time, Alastor only feeling slightly bad for the damages to the hotel, considering that would make more for Niffty to clean.
‘Not to mention how cross Husker will be when he finds the bar raided and destroy-’ That one train of thought was Alastor’s undoing.
The wires from the hotel’s TV ripped out of the wall, ensnaring the Radio Demon. They wrapped around his arms, pulling them taut and upward, before wrapping around his waist and legs, so he couldn’t kick his way out. Try as he might, he couldn’t get free, growling as the TV came closer to his face.
“Look at you, trapped like the helpless animal you are.” Vox grinned, leaning in close, only for Alastor to try to smash his head into the TV Screen.
“I’ll show you helpless when I tear all your limbs off and devour them in front of you!” Alastor snarled, trying to pull himself free as Vox walked around him.
“You need to relax.” Vox hummed, dragging a claw down Alastor’s side slowly.
He had meant for it to hurt, but what he hadn’t expected with the Radio Demon stiffening, and biting his lip. Vox hummed at this discovery, repeating the action, which in turn caused Alastor to try to pull away. The TV couldn’t contain his excitement, he recognized all the signs thanks to working closely with Valentino and Velvette. He recognized them from having helped bring Angel Dust to tears a few times.
“You’re fucking ticklish?!” The amount of pure joy and malice in his voice didn’t escape Alastor. “This is too good!”
“It would be in your best interest if you forget all of this and release me this instance if you value your-” Whatever threat the Radio Demon was about to make was cut off by the feeling of Vox’s claws on his hips, scratching and digging into them.
“You’re not the one in control right now, are you~?” Vox teased. “No, you’re at my mercy, so watch your tongue.”
“Ihihihih’d tehehehell yohohohou to bihihihite meheheh, but yohohohou’d enjohohohoy that!” Alastor was pushing him, he knew that, but he wasn’t about to let the TV Overlord think for one second he wasn’t in control!
“Alright, keep pushing your luck.” Vox mused, moving his hands up Alastor’s sides. “I can do this aaallll day~”
Alastor tried once again to get away from the TV Overlord, his laughter going up an octave as Vox got closer to his ribs. He needed to get out of this situation before the bastard found his worst spots. The Radio Demon was sure his pride wouldn’t survive the taunts and teases that would be sure to follow.
“Let me guess, since you’re a cannibal, this is your favorite spot~?” Vox hummed, digging into Alastor’s ribs and grinning as the deer let out a squeal.
“Iihihihi’ve beehhehehen tihihihickled behehehetter bhihihihiihy thehehehe wihihihihnd!” Alastor was hoping if he got Vox angry enough, he’d drop his guard and that would give him the chance to escape.
“Ohoh, now you’re asking for it you prick!” Vox growled, his eyes scanning over the Radio Demon. There had to be a spot that would have him begging for mercy, and, as Vox noticed Alastor’s ears flicking, he got a wicked idea. “I’m getting bored of this spot anyway.”
His hands were removed from Alastor’s ribs, much to the deer’s relief. That respite was short-lived, however, as he noticed Vox looking at his ears. Before he could even threaten the TV, his ears were being scratched and rubbed, tickling the Radio Demon to no end. He couldn’t hold back anymore, pride be damned!
“FUHUHUHUCK NOHOHOHOHOH!” Alastor squealed. “CEHEHEHEHEASE AHAHAHAHT OHOHOHOHONCE!”
“Oh, that spot got you screaming quickly!” Vox sounded positively ecstatic about this discovery. “Wonder how long it’ll take before you’re a crying mess.”
“NEHEHEHEHEVER!”
“Never?” Vox chuckled, beginning to emit small, harmless shocks from his claws. “Your funeral~”
The shocks were sending a new wave of ticklish Hell upon Alastor’s nerves. A loud screech of radio static came from his throat, Vox recoiling slightly from the noise, but not enough to stop tickling him. The TV wasn’t letting him go anytime soon, and Alastor knew the only thing he could do was pray he either got bored, or pray that the others would return soon.
“I wonder what other spots get you screaming like this?” Vox hummed, despite not expecting the deer to answer. “Not talking? Guess I’ll have to find out on my own~”
Alastor was going to make him pay for this! He’d wipe that shit-eating grin off Vox’s face if it was the last thing he ever did! Another screech of radio interference escaped the Radio Demon, feeling like he was going mad. Vox, meanwhile, was having the time of his afterlife, but he needed more. He needed a spot that would finally be too much for Alastor.
“GEHEHEHEHEHT OHHOOHOHOHOFF MEHEHEHEHE BEHEHEHEHFOHOHOHOHRE IHIHIHIHIHIH BIHIHIHIHITE YOHOHOHOHU!”
A small ‘ding’ sound played from Vox’s speakers, the TV getting an idea. With a smirk, and after a few more electric shocks, he ceased his attack on the sensitive ears. Alastor caught his breath, not yet noticing the wires restraining him brought him up higher off the ground, his abdomen now level with Vox’s face.
“Thanks for giving me a hint~” Vox teased, and before the Radio Demon could respond, the TV had ripped open both the deer’s coat and undershirt, buttons flying off in random directions.
“You’re going to pay for that-” The threat was cut off by Vox slowly stoking a finger up and down Alastor’s stomach, making him freeze.
“All this talk of eating and shit has made me a bit… hungry~” Vox said, before grabbing Alastor’s sides with both hands.
“Vox, I-I’m warning you. If you even think about doing what I think you’re planning, It will be the last thing you ever live to do-” Alastor began, only to be stopped as Vox’s claws dig into his sides.
“You talk too much.” Vox replied, leaning in close.
It happened too fast for the Radio Demon to react, suddenly Vox’s face was in his stomach, before he felt ‘vibrations,’ making him squeal. The ‘vibrations’ were Vox using his TV static to make it feel like he was blowing raspberries right into the deer’s sensitive belly. Cackles of static and laughter came from Alastor, unable to let out a coherent sentence.
“YOHOHOU- STHAHAHA- NOHOHOHOH- IHIHIHIHI’M GOHIHIHING- CEHEHEHASE!”
Vox didn’t stop, in fact, he got worse, squeezing and prodding Alastor’s sides as he continued to torture him. He vaguely wondered if the Radio Demon would pass out from all this, and that would be something to see. Until then, however, Vox was going to keep tormenting him until he had his fill.
Alastor’s nerves felt like they were on fire, desperately trashing as best he could to try and escape. He hated this, he hated all of it so much! Being trapped, feeling helpless, especially at the hands of a bastard television!
“Say, Al.” Vox began, ceasing his raspberry assault in favor of raking his claws over Alastor’s stomach, once again emitting small shocks from them. “Imagine the headlines if all of Hell found out you, the big bad Radio Demon, are stupidly fucking ticklish~”
“YOHOHOHOOHHU WOOHOHOHULDN’T- DOOHOHOHON’T YOHOHOHOHU DAHAH-”
“I can see it now. ‘Breaking news! The Radio Demon and Local Hazbin is ticklish! A few well placed pokes and he’s begging for mercy!’ Wouldn’t that be ‘entertaining?’” Vox grinned. “If only I could get my cameras, and well, you would fucking show up on camera.”
As much as Vox would love to continue breaking Alastor, he was a busy man, and Valentino and Velvette were probably going to be looking for him soon. After one more ‘raspberry’ to Alastor’s belly button, he stopped. The wires holding the Radio Demon up soon unceremoniously dropped him, the deer catching his breath.
“Well, this was informative, and entertaining.” Vox hummed, beginning to head out of the hotel. “We should do this again some-”
Vox’s words were cut off as he was suddenly grabbed by shadowy tendrils, slamming him against the wall. Despite how out of it and tired Alastor felt, there was no way he was letting that TV escape after what he did. Slowly, he composed himself, carefully pushing himself off the floor.
“You seem to forget, old pal.” Alastor began, his eyes turning to radio dials. “Turnabout is fair play, and we still have quite some time before Charlie and the others return.”
“Put me down you asshole!” Vox growled, trying to pull himself free.
“Oh no, you see.” Alastor continued, coming over to the trapped Overlord. “When I get my revenge, I get it tenfold. Best you start praying now~”
Alastor was going to savor every single minute of tormenting Vox. He was going to make sure that pompous television knew never to mess with him again.

Maybe it was time to accept you were never as good as you'd always thought you'd been.
For four long years, you had spent most of your waking hours dissecting epic poetry and papyrology.
Still, the most your degree had done for you was rouse a satisfying disappointment from your mother’s side of the family when they realised you weren’t actually going to be that kind of doctor.
Not to say such in a self-deprecation; you hardly suffered from any semblance of an imposter syndrome. Your mother used to frequently remind you that you were far too vain to not believe in yourself.
It was more of a philosophical framework. Platonic realism. Knowing your muted beauty could earn you a free drink from below-average men who felt their trousers tighten when you addressed them through your eyelashes.
But it wasn't an obvious enough beauty for the attention of the men you imagined exchanging bodily fluids with between stops on the underground.
Besides, you had been a student of Classical Studies; a degree that doesn’t require the intellectual strain of learning Latin or Ancient Greek. The inclusive way for people like you, having attended a run-down state-funded school, to get a glimpse into the Bullingdon boys' and grammar schoolgirls’ fallback plans.
It wasn't even that you disliked Classics; you'd borderline gotten off on reading plays written by men about wicked women; but that was because the brilliant women were always the wicked ones.
You particularly enjoyed the assumptions men made about the female condition – how women were too wet, too porous; couldn’t keep their wombs from wandering. And assumptions they were. No Greek physician ever sliced a woman from chin to cunt to confirm their hypotheses. Although, ancient men hadn't been all too familiar with the insides of a woman anyway.
Sometimes, you thought you would quite simply die if you were reduced to only understanding people through your assumptions of them.
It was just that you could never stop thinking about what people thought. It was all you could ever think about. You wanted to peel people's skulls apart and scream at their horribly grey frontal lobe:
Are you ok? Have I done something to upset you? Do you still love me? Do I look like someone that has been raped? Do you think that girl we just walked past has a firmer ass than me? Do you like my new bangs?
For a short period of time, you'd been desperate to know how your therapist felt and thought of you. There is a sick irony in baring your bones to a stranger in the reclined chair opposite you who never even takes off their cardigan.
You needed to know if your traumas made him sad, or if he saw things that made him think of you outside of your sessions. You supposed he both pitied and admired you in a twisted, surrogate-daughter kind of way.
Then again, he probably wouldn’t have been a very good therapist did he not pity his clients.
At one point you thought you might be in love with him.
You'd met weekly in his high-ceiling office on a busy street. It was a romantic setting to unload twenty-four years of trauma to a kind man wearing a knitted cardigan. The sun would peak through clouds and shine onto the both of you through two large windows, between which sat a Japanese peace lily.
You soon realised he was just the first man to let you speak uninterrupted.
You spoke at him mostly, finishing observations that had been years in the making with “Does that make sense?” Even though you knew it made sense. You were certain, actually, that everything you had articulated came from somewhere deeper inside of you than any man could reach. You just couldn't leave it hanging there like an exposed nerve.
Maybe it was because he didn't speak much that you liked him. Sometimes he would offer anecdotes or remedies for PTSD-induced panic attacks that you both knew you would never use.
In most sessions, you had simply basked in the divinity of being listened to. You wondered if this was how devout Catholics like your grandmother felt at confession, or perhaps it was how all of your ex-boyfriends had felt.
You weren't even particularly attracted to him. He had been ten years older than you, and when your sessions first began, you'd been casually fucking someone a year older than him – but he didn't need to know that.
There were a lot of things you'd decided he didn't need to know. Like the fact you snorted cocaine until your nose bled, sliced into your thighs a couple of evenings a week, and let men use your body to masturbate as a feeble attempt to reclaim your sexuality - as if it had ever been anyone's for the taking.
Had he known the dirtier parts of your life, you feared he would have crossed out the word victim in his black Moleskin notebook and replaced it with bystander.
Maybe he would think you were a pathological liar and diagnose you with a personality disorder. This was something you'd been warned about by the first friend you had made at university.
“My mother is a therapist, you know. Don’t tell them you cut yourself or that you’ve told anyone you cut yourself – they’ll diagnose you with BPD.”
“But I’ve told you.”
“Trust me. They’ll put you on an SSRI and you’ll never be able to orgasm again.”
You were freshly eighteen and had never had a real orgasm anyway, but this terrified you enough to reel in your catalogue of symptoms for the GP appointment you had scheduled later that day.
In the end, you'd buckled and sobbed as the doctor sat adjacent to you. You didn’t mention the self-harming or the suicidal thoughts, but did tell her that you didn’t know where to go from here.
She'd slid a leaflet from the university's self-help website across the table before pushing her chair back and motioning toward the door.
“Call 999 if things get worse," she had said. "But let’s just hope it doesn’t get to that point. A&E is very overwhelmed at the moment.”
So you got on with it. Boats against the current, or whatever. You made the hurt so small and buried it so deep within you and swore you'd never let anyone get close enough to pick at the stray thread to your undoing.
And for a little while it worked. You became what you knew you should be; you presented your face for fucking and never let the door slam on your way out.
These days, you'd felt as though you were slowly becoming rotten.
It started on the surface; a bizarre case of adult acne that no dermatologist could diagnose for love nor money. Blood tests, topical steroids, antibiotics, potentially-baby-deforming drugs. You tried them all to little avail. In the end, it was simply the passing of time that had rid you of the rot.
Next, it had been your womb. Decomposing from the inside out. Your body had made the decision for you that goodness couldn't form in your guts.
The final straw had, embarrassingly, been your heart.
You hated to say it aloud. So much so that you hadn't. But it had been a quiet promise of yours; one you'd kept quietly close to your chest - that your suffering would never turn you ugly.
But here you were, alone and swearing at the wind, the rage beneath your skin growing like a tumour.
You hated it.
You hated yourself.
You hated that you were angry but had never been taught how to be angry, because anger wasn't a pretty emotion; it was one that should be starved and kept in the corner of your wardrobe to rot like black mould.
So here you stood: before a Victorian townhouse with your scarf furiously fighting the wind, droplets of rain threatening your freshly straightened hair, scanning various names scrawled on the building's buzzer.
S. PHYSIOTHERAPY
A & R SOLICITORS
J. MILLER PSYCHOTHERAPY
You bit the inside of your cheek and ducked further into the doorway, pressing the buzzer for the last option.
A voice had answered quicker than you'd anticipated, soon followed by a harsh buzz of the intercom.
"Come on up."
Dr. Miller's office was on the third floor.
You huffed, struggling with the combination of the stairs and attempting to wrangle your wet coat from your back. Amidst your struggle, you hear a door open somewhere above you, followed by a couple of soft and slow footsteps.
Your chin instinctively lifted toward the source of the noise, feet carrying you round and round the spiral staircase.
Light poured around his silhouette from the window behind him. It was ridiculous, actually. The sight was almost holy.
Neither of you spoke as you made your way up toward him. You felt as though you were on your knees beneath him, transfixed in supplication.
The sleeves of his blue cotton shirt were haphazardly pushed up just before his elbows, arms outstretched and fingers wrapped around the wooden bannister.
You were supposed to be actually trying with this one, not fantasising about the ways the veins in his arms probably bulged with his hand around your throat.
After being politely let go by your previous therapist, you'd promised yourself that the colleague he'd recommended to you, Dr. Miller, would be the one to fix you for good.
"Hello." He nodded, not quite managing a smile.
He reached a hand toward you, which you shook with the little strength left in your body.
"Hello." You tried your best to imitate his stoic cadence, your hand still tightly in his.
You let him break the handshake first, playing a petulant, one-sided game to see how quick he would be to scare.
"After you." He gestured to the room behind him. "Take a seat wherever you feel most comfortable."
"If there is any cowboy paraphernalia in that room I am not paying for this session."
"Excuse me?" His eyebrows knitted together, no sign of humour registering on his face.
"Your accent - it was a joke. I mean, I paid already anyway." You fumbled your words awkwardly. "Jokes are always much funnier when you explain them."
He cocked his head slightly. Hesitant to embarrass yourself further, you saw yourself into his office.
The room was dim for a space endowed with Victorian-style floor-to-ceiling windows. It felt like you could get lost in it, hide away, tuck yourself into a corner and be lost for days.
"I have your notes from Dr. Hughes." He said.
"Anything juicy?" You asked, still surveying the room.
You couldn't put your finger on the specifics of his scent, but it was familiar; like passing a man in the street wearing the same aftershave as your father, or a boyfriend you hadn't seen for years.
"I'd like to figure that out myself."
Tumblr media
You'd eventually settled on the armchair positioned opposite his own.
You had briefly wondered if this was a test, that he would be psychoanalysing whether you chose the armchair or the adjacent sofa.
Maybe you'd failed already.
For the majority of the session, you'd gone through the necessary motions of admin, confidentiality, and what you eventually wanted to get out of therapy.
"I don't have the ability to fix you, y'know that right?" His question had caught you off guard.
"I know that." You'd replied meekly.
"It's just, I don't know what kind of promises Dr. Hughes made you. We trained together, you see. He had always been more, how do I put this, hopeful than I am."
"Oh wow. Forty minutes into our first session and you're already hopeless?" You were only partly joking.
"I'm a big believer in transparency, and I can see you were meeting on and off for a few years. I'm just intrigued as to what your end goal here is."
You bit down on your cheek, swallowing the ember of rage that was burning in your throat.
"Do you think I do this for fun? Carve out an hour a week to relive my deepest, darkest traumas?"
"Not at all. I just find it interesting that after almost three years of therapy, you still can't use the word rape. You've referred to it as the thing that happened four times already."
The rot crept up your throat, threatening to pour out of your mouth and fill the room with the ugliness that grew inside of you.
"What is this, some kind of tough love therapy?" You scoffed. Was he trying to get a rise out of you?
"It can be whatever you want it to be."
He was kind of annoying, actually.
The two of you sat in silence, defiantly holding eye contact with one another to see who would be the first to break. And when he finally spoke, it was more of a statement than a question.
"That's time. I'll see you at the same time next week."
"How are you so sure I'll come back?"
He smiled for the first time that afternoon.
"I'm not."

a new kind of romance, finale
part 8 | new years
🥟 | dumplings
Kara was not having a good time.
Sure, she loved her job. Yes, she adored her staff. Absolutely, she found her role as editor-in-chief worthwhile and world-saving in its own way.
But today was a holiday and her staff was absent and her role as editor-in-chief was only kind of worthwhile given they’d gone to print three days earlier.
Today was a day meant to be surrounded by friends, new beginnings, and maybe the slightest tinge of a hangover nursed by a staggering stack of Danvers world-famous pancakes.
It was a day to slip into cozy sweats; an evening unburdened by Supergirl duties or an upcoming deadline; a series of uninterrupted hours where she could collapse onto her couch, bask in the blue glow of her television after consuming far too much post-brunch take-out, and, if she played her cards right, idly massaging the too-tight calves of her very best friend who was stretched out across her lap.
The tips of her fingers crawled between her glasses and face and pressed with a heavy sigh against her eyes because today was not one of those days. Kara wondered if she’d ever have one of those days again.
Not the blue glow or take-out or cozy sweats: those were always within reach. It was the best friend she wasn’t quite sure about.
Because things were kind of different now. Things were weird and awkward, and Kara didn’t know if it was her or them. Either way, she was one supersuit short of feeling brave enough to do anything about it.
So she was at work. On a holiday.
“You know,” came a voice that nearly sent Kara flying into the next floor, “when Alex told me you were skipping New Year's brunch, I almost didn't believe her.”
“Lena,” Kara choked. She looked up and locked eyes with a very soft, very pretty, very smirking Lena Luthor and felt a rush of weird and awkward all over again. “I didn't, uh, hi.”
“Must be important work,” Lena replied, nodding toward the glasses propped on Kara's nose. They'd been a gift earlier that summer: improved and Lena-Luthor-approved to cut out even more noise and distraction than her last pair.
“Just… just wanted to focus,” Kara replied.
“On next month’s issue?”
“Never too early to get ahead,” Kara offered lamely.
“Well, is it too early for lunch?” Lena asked, lifting a plastic bag overflowing with take-out containers.
“I thought that was my job,” Kara said, eyeing the strained bag and feeling her stomach betray her with an oversized growl.
“Sometimes even heroes need saving,” Lena chuckled, setting the bag onto Kara’s overflowing desk. “And I’m very good at giving.”
The tease, the flick of an eyebrow, and the confident smirk would have normally sent Kara’s cheeks on fire and stumbling for words and trying very hard to keep strictly platonic, best-friend thoughts at the forefront of her mind, but today was not one of those days.
“Mhm,” Kara said with a labored smile and a strained chuckle and a fiddle with her glasses.
Because today was awkward and weird-feeling just like every day since cuddles didn’t feel like something just best friends did.
Lena, ever astute and thoughtful and considerate, noticed the wave of discomfort radiating from Kara, and for that Kara winced even more.
“Are… are we ok?” Lena asked, fingers playing with the edge of her sleeves. It was the exact opposite of the teasing confidence spoken moments earlier; this came out shy and hesitant.
“Sure,” Kara replied automatically in a way that sounded forced, sounded fake, sounded like a lie. Because it was. It was, and Lena knew it.
“Ok,” she nodded back, and that made it feel worse. Because Kara knew that Lena knew. “Well, I just wanted to drop this off-”
“Stay,” Kara rushed. “Uhm, please? Please stay?”
What followed wasn’t the most awkward lunch Kara had ever had, but it sure was close. Conversation lagged and Kara, lost in the labyrinth of thoughts and doubts and concerns that had played on repeat for no less than two weeks rattled around louder and louder and -
Kara blinked, realizing she’d missed whatever Lena just said. And Lena noticed but, with generous tact, looked down and quietly poked at her food and gosh this was going terribly.
“I’m sorry,” Kara said unprompted. “I’ve been distracted and… and it’s not fair to you. You skipped brunch and brought all of this delicious food and I’ve been terrible company and a bad f-friend,” she said, her throat choking around the last word.
And then a smile flashed across her best friend’s face. It was tiny and wistful. “You could never be, darling.”
And it made Kara’s stomach flutter and twist. It made it flutter and twist, and Kara clung to the tiny thread for dear life and jumped.
“Do you, uh… do you want one?”
“You’re offering me a potsticker?” Lena asked, the faintest tone of disbelief at the chopsticks floating in front of her with a perfectly pan-fried dumpling pinched between them.
Kara nodded, her outstretched, chopstick-holding hand shaking in a very unhero-like way.
And she only barely managed to snatch it, her chopsticks, and the floating potsticker back in time when Lena’s hand rose to meet the literal best pillow of food on the entire planet.
“You can’t use your hands,” Kara said - yelled - and then silently begged the earth to split open and swallow her whole.
“I… I can’t?” Lena asked, hand flinching back in surprise.
“We… there uhm, there aren’t any napkins,” Kara explained like a lying four-year-old.
Because there absolutely were napkins.
In plain sight.
Directly next to Kara’s half-eaten egg roll.
Before Lena could challenge the blatantly bizarre lie with her confused scowl and keen, impossibly brilliant, and scientifically perfect observation skills, Kara blindly rambled ahead while her elbow did the inelegant task of plopping across the desk onto the stack of said napkins.
“And these are, uh, greasy? Greasy,” Kara continued, sliding her elbow with the subtlety of a firework to the edge of her desk and, just as subtly, knocking the napkins to the floor.
“Greasy,” Lena parroted, eyes distracted by Kara’s elbow’s antics.
“I-in a good way,” Kara clarified. The moment was only briefly interrupted by the squeak of her chair rolling to the left.
To cover the stack of napkins.
The napkins which were definitely there.
“I wouldn’t offer one if they were bad, but since we don’t have napkins then,” Kara explained, “then you’d need to- to…uhm.”
“To what?” Lena pressed.
“To… wipe them on your shirt?” Kara finished feeling mortified and like the most incapable alien on the planet.
Which was why, when Lena’s head tilted to the side and her gaze fell to where the napkins were most definitely scattered around on the ground then darted back to Kara’s and sparkled in that special way, Kara felt her heart swell and her stomach flutter just a little bit more.
“Well,” Lena began, leaning forward with the focus of a predator, “we can’t have that.”
And Kara, the weakest, most inept prey in a five hundred-mile radius swallowed against the parchment that had become her throat, shook her head weakly, and kept the freefall going.
And it might have been something.
Could have been something.
Was nearly something.
Lena was hovering forward.
Lips parted.
Eyes locked on Kara’s.
Which was exactly when Kara’s big giant nerves took over and sent her chopsticks splintering and the potsticker slipping out of her grasp with all the grace of Flubber before zipping across the office to land with an unceremonious splat against the glass partition.
All of which turned that ‘near something’ into one giant ‘swing and miss'.
But before Kara could articulate her feelings as ‘mortified’ and ‘crestfallen’ and ‘like a giant himbo’, Lena burst out into the kind of bright laughter that made her dimples show and smile beam and Kara wonder if how they were was enough.
Because this could be fine.
They could be fine.
So distracted was Kara that she didn’t notice Lena swipe the last, un-splatted potsticker from Kara’s plate, and she definitely didn’t process when Lena, ever so casually, asked Kara for a napkin to wipe her fingers off, and she was lightyears from self-awareness when she automatically snatched one from the floor.
That’s how lunch continued and ended: with Lena smiling her special smile and Kara lost in a sort of daze, inhaling the spread of options Lena brought.
“I’ll let you get back to it,” Lena said when the final remnants of lo mein were polished off. “Can’t have Cat Grant accusing me of derailing her Editor-in-Chief.”
“Oh, ok,” Kara said, rising to join Lena and crashing back to earth while simultaneously knocking her knee against the desk and sending a stack of proofs sliding like Niagra Falls to the floor.
“No, no, I’ve got this,” Kara said, waving Lena away. She clambered around the desk and intercepted her with a bashful grin and outstretched arms. They wrapped comfortably around Lena like they always did, and it made her feel all tiny sorts of warm and happy.
This could be fine.
“Thanks for lunch,” she muttered into the side of Lena’s head.
“What are friends for?” Lena said, hands falling to Kara’s upper arms and disarming Kara with a practiced smile.
Kara nodded, her own smile feeling tight and confused.
It faltered only slightly when the door clicked shut and she crouched to pick up the disheveled proofs.
This could be fine.
Kara could be totally normal and cool and collected, and Lena could be her usual pretty and perfect and kind and thoughtful self. And everything could be great and par for the course and completely and totally…
Normal.
Kara rolled back onto her heels and pondered that thought: normal. She pondered and pondered some more. A whole minute passed while the idea braised in her brain, and it kind of didn’t sit right.
It didn’t sit right one bit.
And then the most obvious thing on the whole giant existence of everything occurred - no, re-occurred: Kara didn’t want normal. She definitely didn’t want to go back to normal. She wanted the opposite of normal. In fact, she didn’t want normal for another second of her whole entire life.
Unless that not-normal was Lena hating her guts for the rest of eternity. That was not a not-normal Kara had the stomach for, but before she could let that worry petrify her from action, she jumped to her feet and clambered toward the stairwell.
It took only a second; a perfectly timed second that synchronized with the elevator doors opening and Kara’s very best friend appearing in the ground floor lobby.
“Kara,” Lena said, jumping at what was probably a borderline crazed expression on Kara’s face when two muscular arms spread across the elevator’s threshold, blocking Lena’s exit. “Wha-”
“Mistletoe magic,” Kara stammered inelegantly.
“Mistletoe-?” Lena began, her surprise turning to a flash of hurt.
“With you,” Kara clarified. “I wanted… I wanted mistletoe magic with you.”
“With… me?” Lena asked slowly, cautiously - nervously.
“I wanted… I wanted you - want you. I didn’t mean to, you know,” Kara clarified poorly, “but then I got so nervous. And then Andrea was there and, and I just… I thought you didn’t want it. And maybe you don’t which is - that’s fine, but I can’t stop thinking that maybe you do? Because I do. I really do and, and when you… with the frosting? And the dress? You were just so, so… Rao. And you’re so so brilliant and kind and my best friend-”
“Me too.”
“- and I don’t want to ruin any… any…thing,” Kara trailed off, the tiny echo of Lena’s confession rattling in her ears. “What?”
Then something even louder started rattling in Kara’s ears because her rambling had gone on long enough to trigger the lift’s alarm.
Then came a tug against Kara’s shirt.
Then Kara felt herself being pulled into the lift.
Then she felt the warmth breath against her cheek.
“I wanted mistletoe magic with you, too.”
“R-really?” Kara asked, her eyes darting down to Lena’s perfectly painted lips.
“Really.”
“Like…” Kara continued, glancing back up to double check Lena’s eyes were serious. “Like real-”
They were. They were dead serious. And Kara registered it only a millisecond before Lena’s lips cut off what was definitely going to be another babble-fest. Lena’s lips cut her off and all of her thoughts and words disappeared and instead every sense was engulfed by soft, warm, gentle and - oh wowsers.
“Like really, really,” Lena whispered before the elevator lurched upward and before Kara could register the sparks of gold magic and green leaves flickering above them and before recapturing Kara’s mouth and setting fire to Kara’s core.
// sixty-three floors later //
“So, you liked the dress?” Lena asked.

Crush on You - Steve Harrington x Reader
A/N: Hi yeah, can you tell this was written by someone with ADHD on a plane in 30 minutes? Sure! But it's the first thing I think I've published in 5 years so you're gonna have to just deal with it! Not beta'd because again, first piece in 5 years. Also if you are lactose-intolerant be careful, this shit is CHEESY!!
@boyfriendstevie
Tumblr media
Steve was going to maim Robin.
He swore to God right then and there, looking at you with that cute little teasing twinkle in your eye as you said, "so you've got a crush on me, huh?" that he was going to find a way to permanently silence her.
Robin had to be behind this. It had taken all of 12 hours - from him spilling his guts about his debilitating infatuation as he drove her home from work, to you sauntering through the Family Video doors - to get to this moment.
His face felt hot... was he dying? Could he actually be dying? The sound of his heart pounding in his ears made him think he might still have a few more minutes of agony to go before his body mercifully took pity on him and just... y'know. Ended it.
You, on the other hand, were thriving. You were positively giddy, unsure when the last time you had felt solid ground under your feet; you had floated on a cloud (you were sure of it) over to Family Video.
Honestly, it wasn't Robin's fault.
No one in their right mind would tell her something that they didn't want you to find out. Robin had been spilling Hawkins' secrets to you since your family had moved to town.
At first, it was protective - a welcoming to the neighbourhood that helped you to know what cliques to avoid and who was sort of cool. Then it was friendly, to make you feel more at ease that you actually weren't coming off like the idiot you thought you might be.
Now? Now it was downright… messy? Fun? No, definitely mischievous.
Why else would she have rolled up on her bike to your part-time spot, parked behind the desk at the Hawkins Public Library, with that shit-eating grin on her face claiming she had some positively delightful news to tell you?
Either way you didn't care. Because it had brought you here, still in your work getup, absolutely vibrating with the sheer force it was taking you to not be the biggest tease in the world about something that was okay, maybe a little sensitive.
Steve could see the restraint on your face anyway. He knew you wanted to tease him - you were loving this.
He was still contemplating just faking an emergency and leaving. It would have been hard with the way you were leaning over the counter, gripping the side closest to him to keep you supported as you blocked him from passing you. But maybe he could manage it if he put on a good enough show.
You were biting your lip in an attempt to not freak him out with the intensity of your grin. You really just wanted him to admit it.
Standing there, with your body basically draped over the counter, your lip worried between your teeth and your eyebrow raised, Steve thought maybe it wouldn’t be the embarrassment that killed him. Maybe it would just be from how goddamn pretty you were.  He had never seen anyone more enchanting than you - he thought there were probably damn hearts in his eyes as he stared at you.
And if he thought about it, maybe you hadn't heard it from Robin... he wasn't exactly subtle when it came to you. He'd definitely tripped over himself, literally, to be the one to grab you a tape you'd requested be put on hold. More than once.
There had also been the time when you had caught him watching you as you perused the shelves, completely ignoring the increasingly frustrated attempts of Mrs Jones to try and get him to check out "Trading Places" for her.
"Steeeeeeeve." The melodic singsong of your voice was enough to bring him back to the present. And to cause him to realize he had just been staring at you, gape-mouthed, for at LEAST 15 uninterrupted seconds.
Yeah, it would be the embarrassment that killed him.
"I- I uh." You watched a muscle bob in Steve's throat as he swallowed hard, nervously running his hand through his hair. "I-"
"Are you always this articulate?" You said with a bat of your eyelashes and he groaned. You were gorgeous and funny and he used to be so much better at this. There's no way he would have fumbled this conversation back in high school.
Then again, you hadn't been at his high school.
Eyes closed he shook his head trying to clear his thoughts and quickly realised that could be interpreted as "no, I am NOT always this articulate which is to say, quite accurately,  sometimes I literally can't speak when you talk to me". Steve quickly opened his eyes to stammer out... something. Jesus. He was really killing it.
You remain in your position, leaning on the counter as you wait for him to formulate a coherent thought. And no, you would not give him a reprieve. Not yet.
Because you had been hiding your crush behind teasing comments and little jokes and playful nudges since the second you laid eyes on the man in front of you. Ever the charmer, he would flirt and tease and joke back with you, tit for tat. But sometimes… you could push it, and throw him off his game. You could reduce him to a blushing sputtering mess, and you loved nothing more than to watch him try to process if you were talking a big game or would really walk the walk. You wanted to see if you could get him to finally end this game of chicken.
Steve huffed and let out a tentative laugh. His hand had found its way back to the disheveled strands on his head. "I, uh, I feel like there's no way for me to get out of this."
If Steve hadn't spent the last few months studying your every goddamn facial expression, he would have missed the little narrow you did of your eyes. Almost imperceptible, but he knew you did it when you were processing something and not quite sure where that thought process was taking you. Or what you were going to do.
It seemed like only a fraction of a second before you decided.
"What if," you began, a small almost devilish smile starting to spread across your lips, "I made it easier for you?"
You leaned closer towards Steve, and watched his eyes widen ever so slightly as he looked down at your lips. He licked his own without realising it, following your movements as you leaned closer, closer... and grabbed the sticky pad and pen he'd been doodling on before you had flounced in.
His cheeks warmed and it didn't escape your notice that there was a small flush spreading across Steve's face. Or that he absolutely wanted to kiss you.
You grinned to yourself, pulling the used sticky off and pressing it onto Steve's chest. He glanced down in confusion at the piece of paper stuck in the gap of his vest, his eyes flying back up to meet yours as you beamed.  If you left your fingers splayed across his chest a second or two longer than necessary, he didn’t voice any complaints.
Pulling your hand away from Steve’s chest, you curled it over the pad in your other hand, scribbling furiously, while keeping the note’s contents hidden from Steve's curious gaze.
Pleased with yourself, you flipped the pad back towards him on the counter and slid the pen along with it, bumping his hand so that he would take over their possession. His fingers curled over yours briefly, and while you would’ve liked to have kept your hand under his a little longer, you were playing a special game and you weren’t ready for it to be over just yet.
Steve was so focused on your little smirk, and the way your eyes had crinkled when he looked down at your bottom lip, he didn't even register the note when he glanced down at it.
"You can send it along with the town crier if you want." You teasingly gestured out the window to Robin who had just pulled up in front of the store. He struggled to process it all; everything that was you and the note you had slipped across the counter, and he finally looked up again at you, you were partially to the door. A wink thrown back at him as you passed Robin.
"Hey Robs. Bye Steve." He heard a muffled “hello” and “bye” from Robin’s direction in response, but he couldn’t stop thinking about how easy it would have been to capture your lips against his with you as close as you had been. If not that, Christ, he could have at least admitted he couldn’t get you out of his head with you, there, giving him the perfect opportunity.
The chime of the door wasn't enough for him to stop staring after you. In fact, he watched you walk away until he couldn't see you anymore. He was vaguely aware of Robin speaking to him as she buzzed around him, moving things he had left “in the wrong place” and “should have put away already”. He felt her push into her personal space, boundaries long forgotten if they had ever been present at all, as she tapped at his hand.
"Uuuuh Steve? What's that?" Robin asked, her large blue eyes studying him and the object partially hidden by his large palm. He blinked slowly, eyes focusing back on the room in front of him instead of the spot where he had last seen you, turning out of the parking lot.
He could be angry with Robin later he thought, flipping the pad in his hand to read what you had written. He felt the tips of his ears go red as he finally processed the words in your slightly messy scrawl, Robin yammering about something in the background.
Tumblr media
It was cute and it was cheesy and he was almost grateful you had left so you didn’t see the big stupid grin that spread across his face. Yeah, he had a crush on you. But you had a crush on him too.
He grabbed the pen and checked “yes”, pulling the note off the pad and shoving it deep in his pocket to get it away from Robin. He could deliver it himself.

Remember When I Said Taehyung Might Not Be As Gay As We Thought?
Tumblr media
Don't judge a man by his milfy wardrobe, he looks goooood.
It was... awhile ago. Maybe as far back as 2021 although I do not feel like link-searching it. It's in the archives if I didn't kill it.
Granted, there was a lot going on, then. There's still a lot going on and until now I had no desire to ever - EVER - return to this hellsite. Because Taekookers are fucking weird, yo. And some of y'all got a lil bit up in my shit too as I (fuzzily) recall. Which: it's whatever. I'm extremely unsocial, don't even answer my own DMs. And it's not personal, so I get it. I don't need or want to defend myself, but I will protect people I care about. With my absence, if necessary.
OT: I also totally kicked the big C while I've been out so that was nice. Yoongi the cat is pleased that his noms will continue uninterrupted. I will be in wigs for at least another year. It's all good. Oh LOOK at what we have here. Don't come at me for publishing this, I will explain.
Tumblr media
I got it from actual media days ago, okay, and also: there was no expectation of real privacy. Keep reading. Or don't, I'm not telling you what to do.
ANYWAY. I had to come back, mainly to say TAENNIE IS REAL I TOLD Y'ALL IDK WHY NOBODY EVER BELIEVES ME BUT HERE WE ARE. I'm gloating. Honestly, it's so rude, I'd apologize if I cared. But I am rude and snorfling into my cheerios about this. Tae just made me so damn happy, is all.
LET THE MAN BE BI OR HETEROFLEXIBLE OR EVEN STRAIGHT IDC. Jennie clearly makes him happy. Look at his "I'm going to Paris to see my girlfriend" face!
Tumblr media
And in that very specific jewelry look, no less. Foundrae. Again. Still. Hm.
Here's what I can tell you based on my limited third hand no sources no receipts this is probably utter bullshit usual disclaimer: It's a soft open, kids. This whole "oopsie we just so happened to get caught taking a lil walk in public with our managers in tow during which date at least one of us signed several autographs, what a surprise" is in fact a soft open for what will likely be a public confirmation PRETTY DAMN SOON. It might happen before I get this thing published, actually, depending on when I get it up. If it's before May 22 at noon my time, no idea. If after, well. Guess we'll see. Jennie's supposed to show up at the screening of HBO's The Idol that day, screening at the Grand Lumiere at 10:30 CEST. One wonders if she will arrive alone, or bring a plus one. It's a big ask, and if he does it they're probably getting married, that's how big a deal it would be. So I'm not holding my breath, but.
Tumblr media
This seems like a reasonable prospect for a plus-one viewing. Might not be the only one but... Jennie's IN IT so.
I'M NOT SAYING THIS IS GONNA HAPPEN. I think it would be a fucking POWER move if it did, but I also do not necessarily expect that it will. It COULD. It... MIGHT. It might not. Either way they're a thing, I'm telling you. They are, have been, a thing. For awhile. And it is apparently quite serious - like up to and including talk of engagement serious.
Remember when a bunch of folk thought that one gummy bear dude was going to jail for "hacking" Jennie's phone only there's been no actual movement on any "investigation"? Yeah. Trickle truthing, they call it. Give 'em a little bit, let them deny it and yell and chew on it for awhile before you give 'em a little more. But c'mon, nobody's wearing half the love-themed couple pieces at Foundrae for no damn reason.
Tumblr media
Seriously they got the whole collection almost and both have been seen wearing them almost exclusively. For a year.See airport pic above.
Look, I don't have inside info on Taehyung. I do not. I ain't hang with his friends and I don't know him personally. Never met the guy. But I know a PR move when I see one and this is exactly that.
We all know how toxic stan culture can be. Some ToadlicKKers (and a few of us house elves) are certifiably bonkers, if stan twitter is anything to go by. And the guys, the company, they expect a whole meltdown. They know this is not gonna make half their fans happy. I mean the tkkers have a point in that it looks like they wanted to be seen. BECAUSE IT'S A SOFT OPEN. What Taejen/Taennie/Jenhyung and the companies also know is that based on historic shipper behavior, this is gonna come back on Jimin, Jungkook, maybe Rose' and Lisa. And by extension, the other members. Maybe not as much due to their respective distance, but still. I bet by the time I finish this it will have already started.
Oh look there it is. Fuck those bitches, really.
Tumblr media
Good LORDT. I'm not adding the audio, if y'all are that hungry for psycho hose beast Jimin hate hie thee to stan twt.
But, totally off-topic kinda...
... wouldn't it be cool if Jennie, who speaks great English, was hanging out with Troye Sivan and was like "so you know my boyfriend tells me that his bffs..." I'M JUST SAYING NETWORKING IS COOL AND FRIENDS OF FRIENDS GET THINGS DONE OKAY.
Tumblr media
You know that girl has the scoop. If Tae knows it, she knows it. Oh heeeeyyy Troye.
Also OT: I love that Taekook have been hanging out a little more lately. It's refreshing. I genuinely think having Jennie in his life has been good for Tae in several ways. And you know, I'm kinda surprised Taennie has lasted this long. I didn't honestly think they would. It warms my decrepit, sad old heart a bit. Turns out I have a lot more to say so IDK IDK, if I feel okay about it I might be back. Right now I'm just waiting for the official Taennie nod and the continued total meltdown.

“I can read your future” you mumbled as you turned towards him, he was sitting on your couch at the moment. Daemon Targaryen, the man you had been crushing on for a year now, the man who wouldn't take a hint that you wanted him to take you right on this very couch as you had fantasized the same a million times before.
“How so?” He smirked as he sipped on the coffee you had offered him. After that day in the college you kept bumping into him in the most random of places, one would think one of you were stalking the another, that's what you thought at first, you really thought he was able to watch your location at all times since he had invented that thing but he wasn't a creep like that.
Far from that, he had been a complete gentleman with you, at times he treated you like a child because you were younger than him, which you despised greatly. You were twenty two now, he was twenty nine, the age gap wasn't as horrendous as he made it out to be.
“My mom taught me” you grabbed his unoccupied hand and his breath hitched slightly as you scooted closer to him on the couch, for a moment you just stared at his palm so he let out a chuckle,
“What?” He asked you so you cleared your throat ..
“Nothing it's just..you have such..big big hands..strong hands” you mumbled as you bit on your lower lip subconsciously but all of a sudden his mind was filled with filthy images of him using these same hands on you and his pants were straining him.
“So I have been told” he mumbled softly to get rid of the sexual tension so you gave him a smile..
“So this is your heart line here” you traced your fingers slowly from the base of his thumb and moved upwards, the touch sent shivers down his spine, at times he felt as if you were really into him but then he controlled his thoughts.
Too young ..you were too young for him.
“Something happened to you.. something that has changed you as a person” you mumbled softly so he hummed in response. You didn't know yet about the tragedy that had occurred in his family a few years ago so that surprised him.
“Tell me more” he mumbled as he scooted even closer and now it was your turn to grow nervous. He was too close and he smelled divine, all you wanted to do was climb on top of him and please him until he was a sweaty mess.
“This is your head line..the brain if you will and as you can see it's so dark and defined..no surprise there mister” you mumbled so he gave you a smile. He wasn't the smartest guy in the world but he definitely was the smartest man in the most places he went to..
“More darling” his husky voice made you feel bashful, you were clutching onto his long slender fingers, thoughts of lifting them up and sucking them into your mouth kept messing with your head.
“Ummm this is your life line.. straight and uninterrupted..you're going to live a very long life Mr Targaryen”
“Really?” He scrunched his nose as if he was disappointed by the knowledge so you nodded in response.
“And this is your fate line..you're destined for greatness and you'll be a very successful man someday” He shook his head as you said that, there was a constant smile on his face but then he grabbed your index finger and traced it along the line which began from the base of his index finger to the thumb. You had to count in your head so you won't do anything stupid, the proximity was killing you.
“What is this one sweetheart?” He asked you and your face flushed in response, the way he was holding you, the sound of his voice, everything was your demise that day.
“That's umm your marriage line.. it's uhh dark and straight with no cuts, which shows that you're very loyal in your relationships and ummm you're going to have a long healthy marriage someday”
“Mhhhm? You think so?” you gave him a mischievous smile as he asked you and that's when he knew you were messing with him.
“I wouldn't know..i wasn't really paying attention when my mother taught me these things”
However everything you said that day had some truth in it, even though you had made it up.
You knew you had to stop staring at her but you couldn't, not because you were charmed by her 5 '10 height or long shiny hair, but because Daemon was talking to her on the other side of the room and there was plenty of smiling, and she was laughing at his jokes. He was a funny guy, you couldn't deny that. He was quick witted and oh so charming.
You knew you were overthinking, of course you knew, he'd never hurt you like that.. right? Then why didn't he tell you he had a new shiny assistant, and a supermodel one at that.
In the past years you had seen first hand how devoted Daemon was to you but everytime another woman had eyes on him, you just knew, you always knew when women looked at him a certain way, you knew when they were dying for him to fuck them. And he always was oblivious to the attention he got, that's how he was with you in the beginning, you were into his face, throwing signs that you wanted him to take you somewhere aside and fuck you into oblivion but he was oblivious. He didn't make a move until he was completely sure.
He was rich, successful, famous and gorgeous inside out, you didn't blame women for flocking around him but you blamed yourself for getting so caught up into your insecurities. This wasn't the first time you felt wary of a woman's intentions that he was working with.
There had been discussions and arguments about this before, mostly from your part, he always tried his best to get rid of your doubts with gentleness but when you were PMSing and drowning in your insecurities, his soft calm nature only infuriated you further. As your insecurities intensified, so too did your mistrust, and you couldn't help but worry that you were pushing him away with your constant need for reassurance.
Your jealousy made it impossible for you to understand that he was allowed to be friendly with his employees and have platonic relationships with other women.
For the next fifteen minutes you watched him make his way around the party and speak to his employees. He was a good boss and definitely not a bossy boss, that's why people who worked for him adored him so much.
When he finally walked towards you he grabbed your hand and dragged you to the dance floor so you smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck,
“Why do I feel as if you're bored?” He asked you as your bodies moved to the rhythm slowly, he leaned down to peck your lips before he twirled you around and made you dip in a dramatic fashion which made you giggle in response.
“I'm not bored i promise..i was just missing you” you mumbled softly so he stared at you intently as if he was trying to figure out your thoughts.
Don't say it, don't say it please.
“Ummm so what happened to Marcus?”
Okay you had said it.
Marcus was his previous assistant before he had hired the new girl, not that he discussed every decision he made for his company with you but you just needed an excuse to talk about the new girl.
“He found a better opportunity”
“Mmm okay..you didn't tell me that he left and there's a new one” you let out a laugh to keep your tone casual but you couldn't mask your curiosity to save your life.
“He left just two weeks ago darling..i have been busy with the work trip so it slipped my mind” he mumbled softly so you nodded and didn't stretch the subject as it would have raised questions.
A few minutes later you saw her walk towards him while he was catching up with other employees and you couldn't tell from the distance whether she was crying or not, if only you weren't so nearsighted, but you clearly watched him put his hand on her shoulder in a comforting manner as he leaned down to speak to her.
He then pulled his phone out and then she was gone with one other woman, every woman that worked for him was taken care of when it came to their personal safety. If you didn't have means to travel or weren't comfortable traveling on your own he provided a safe transport service free of cost, every employee that worked for him got free home security as well.
He was a good person, a good man accompanied with that tall hot large frame, striking personality, genius mind and all that ethereal beauty and you knew he could have found someone so much better than what he got in you and that was the reason why you felt so inferior at times, it wasn't his fault, he never made you feel that way, it was all you because you knew what a gem you had won in life and you feared losing his interest in you sexually and most of all his love for you.
You feared that someday he'd look back into his life and would regret not marrying a woman that would be better suited for him in every possible way, the one who'd give him not just love and support but would also help him with the business and the legacy he wanted to leave behind.
Someone who could give him that thing you knew you won't be able to give, it was only getting worse with time, he never said anything but deep down you knew he wanted it, he wanted children.
On the drive back home he noticed that you were quiet so he raised his arm up and placed it on your shoulder, his fingers then glided over your bare skin in a comforting manner but his touch was personal and intimate, definitely not how he comforted his assistant. Why were you comparing? He was your husband for god's sake.
“Are you tired baby?” He asked you so you turned your head to look at him.
“No i just..is everything okay with your new assistant? I saw her crying”
He was focusing on the steering wheel so he was quiet for a moment, it must have been three seconds at most, but since you were on the edge it felt like an hour.
“Sheena? Yeah..poor girl, she's dealing with a lot” he mumbled under his breath so you hummed in response.
“What's wrong?”
“You know..abusive parents as a kid and now she's dating some reckless arse”
Is that why he gave her the job? Because he felt bad for her? Or was she actually qualified? Were you assuming she wasn't smart enough to handle his busy schedule at work just by her loooks? Definitely.
“She told you that?”
“I asked her.. she always seemed so lost”
“Well i hope she's fine” you mumbled and didn't ask more questions, when you both reached home you excused yourself and decided to take a shower to clear your cluttered thoughts.
You were overthinking as usual, he wasn't going to leave his wife to rescue some damsel in distress. Yeah that was it, just your stupid brain was braining again.
But she was young and hot, so goddamn beautiful, and broken, and perhaps capable of giving him things you really couldn't.
When you came out he was already under the covers, half naked, he had his reading glasses on, you remembered how he used to look at you everytime you came out of the showers covered in barely a towel, now he didn't even look up at times. It's been six years since you were together in the romantic sense, the honeymoon phase was well over, but you wished once in a while he would look at you the same way he used to.
As you sat down on the dressing chair, you grabbed the bottle of the lotion and grabbed your night dress over your thighs to moisturize, as Daemon noticed what you were doing his eyes followed your every moment.
The way you rubbed the lotion on your skin tantalized him still, and how your skin glimmered in the dim light as you worn such sensuous nightwear, he could watch you be this way forever. He did have his eyes on you but you never had your eyes on him in those moments, you were always busy with the task on hand so you failed to notice that he was looking at you so adoringly, eyes filled to the brim with bouts of love and lust both.
As you got into the bed after drying your hair he placed the book down, took his glasses off and propped himself on his elbow to look at you.
You trailed your fingers on his sternum to caress the small trail of hair between his chest so he leaned down and kissed you, next thing you knew he was on top of you and your hands were inside his briefs as you cupped his plump ass cheeks between your palms.
He was making up for the days he wasn't here and also for the days he knew he wouldn't be here.
The next morning when you woke up he had left already, you didn't want to go to work today, you wanted to make lunch for him and go see him in the office, because you had the urge to be around him and the new assistant. This wasn't healthy, you didn't need a third person to spell this out to you but you couldn't help yourself at times, you knew she desired him, you just knew and you knew she was his secretary so she was around him all the time.
So you spent two hours to make a hearty lunch, you'd do it everyday, not to keep an eye on him but just to feed him freshly home cooked meals but he didn't allow you to do this everyday, you had a line of staff at home to do these things for you two, not that you weren't grateful for the lavish life he was providing you but sometimes you missed those old days when it was just you and him in that small one room apartment, you had made the most cherished memories of your life in that tiny apartment. Now you had a big house but it wasn't filled with laughter and giggles, he was away for his work more than he was here with you.
Daemon had also hired you a chauffeur, his name was Otto, he took you to work and basically wherever you needed to go so you didn't have to travel on your own because it wasn't safe.
You looked down at the safety ring on your third finger and sighed as a memory from the past pricked your heart.
Once you had left the house without it, it was storming out there and he wasn't able to get a hold of you, when you finally came home that day he cried in your arms like a baby because he feared he had lost you, you had promised him that day you'd never go anywhere where he couldn't reach you.
As you stepped inside the office building, every employee you saw greeted you, some you knew from years as they have been working for him since the company started to take off but some were fairly new.
“Hello mam, please sit down, he's in a meeting and will join you shortly” The receptionist Cole said to you as he assisted you to his cabin so you gave him a polite smile and wished him a good day.
A few minutes later when he entered his eyes lit up as he looked at you but then you saw Sheena tailing behind him with his laptop and his coffee mug hanging on her perfectly manicured hand. She looked somehow better in business casuals, you watched him conversing with her about the meeting for a moment before she turned to leave. She didn't forget to greet you on the way out. You were the boss's wife, of course everyone wanted to be nice to you even if they didn't really know you that well as you didn't really get involved in his business.
“She seems..nice” you gave him the most obvious fake smile as he leaned himself against the desk in front of you..
“She's a smart kid..graduated from MIT..lots of potential”
Okay you didn't need to know that. You didn't need to know that she was a beauty with so much brain packing in there as well.
Daemon was a MIT alumni as well so perhaps he saw potential in her..
“What are you doing here sweet girl..i thought you had work today” he asked you as he caressed your cheek with his thumb so you shrugged.
“Surprise?”
“I love your surprises”
“Mmmhm?” You asked him so smirked and grabbed the phone from his desk.
“ Cole, make sure I'm not seeing anyone for the next hour, inform Sheena to take her lunch break now as we have that online conference session with the CEO of Stark Industries”
As he put the phone down, he went around the desk and started tinkering with something on his laptop..
“Um are you busy..I can wait”
You mumbled softly so he looked at you intently.
“Shhhhhhh”
You gulped as he shushed you up and that's when you knew what he was doing. He was turning off the security cameras in his personal cabin for the time you were there, then he walked towards you and picked you up from the chair as if you weighed nothing and took you to the couch which made you yelp and giggle in his arms.
“Lunch will get cold”
“Considering how easily you make me lose in this game..I don't think so”
“You're so…excited these days” you mumbled as you took his jacket off to set it aside so it won't get creased.
“Don't blame me for that beautiful”
“Yeah right” you bit on your lips as he entered you slowly, you had put on this sexy dress under your coat for a reason.
“Stressed aren't you?” You asked him as your fingers traced over his scalp.. he was trying so hard to not moan loudly.
“Don't do that I'd crumble like a stack of cards and will definitely fall asleep which I can't afford” he mumbled between his labored breaths as his hips maintained a slowed rhythm.
“Poor baby ..you need rest” you whispered against his mouth so he kissed you passionately.
“You're my rest–”
“Mmhmm..”
“So beautiful…i love you so much my darling”
“I love you baby”
He placed his forearms on the arm of the couch as he thrusted in and out of you with an increased pace, once in a while he leaned down to kiss you softly, you fingers clenched around his waist, legs curled around his thighs, you loved this position the most, you could see every little expression on his face and he was so fucking scintillating when he was on top of you like this.. everytime he moved the scent of his cologne filled your senses and you felt intoxicated. But then you smelled something else on his shirt but decided to keep your mouth shut for the moment.
“I should come here more often to take away your stress”
“Mmmm you know i don't have to fuck you for that right? You do that by merely existing and by being mine”
Your eyes moistened as he said that, you have been in your head since yesterday so his words made you feel a tad better..just a tad though.
“Are you mine?”.
“Always wifey..I'm all yours.. always”
As he came and took you along with him..he collapsed next to you and wrapped his arms around your waist to hold onto you, he wished he could have stayed there like this for hours but it wasn't possible, especially not today.
Once you both got cleaned up you fixed his tie and helped him with his jacket so he wasn't looking all fucked out. Then you took out the lunch box and made him eat every bite, half of the reason why he was so fit even though he was in his late thirties now was due to his poor eating habits.
“You're smoking again” you asked him and he stopped chewing for a moment to look at you.
“Just one i promise.. when I'm feeling all blehhh” he didn't finish his words but just shook his head and rolled his eyes animatedly which made you smile.
“It's okay…I just..you can tell me these things you know..”
“I know..i just started it I promise” you nodded as he said that. He was addicted to those things so you were glad he wasn't jumping straight into that addiction again. You believed him when he said he was taking just one, he wouldn't lie about these things, that you knew.
But then why was it so hard to believe that he won't stray away from you and this marriage?
After you both were done eating you sat down on his lap and cuddled him for whatever time you had left with him, he was at work, you had to remember that. His fingers traced over the safety ring, in the past years he had developed and upgraded that ring to make it as safe and as equipped as possible but he wasn't done with it just yet even though his hands were full.
TargSecure started with this ring but moved on to produce a variety of other safety gears, he had two more branches in other parts of the country, the London one was being managed by Aemond because Daemon wanted to stay here.
As you stepped out of his office you passed by Sheena’s cabin.. unlike Daemon she had a glass door so as soon as she saw you she stood up and walked towards you.
Please don't be nice to me, your inner thoughts screamed at you and you felt pathetic.
“Hello Mrs. Targaryen..are you leaving?” She asked you so you nodded.
“Just call me y/n.. Sheena right?” You asked her as if you didn't know her name at all. She gave you a nod in agreement but then her phone began to ring so she looked at you apologetically.
“It's Daemon sir.. I have to go.. have a good day Mrs. Targaryen...uhh sorry y/n” she giggled as she finished her sentence.
“Have a good day” you mumbled as she walked past you and as soon as she was out of sight..you let out a deep sigh.
Why were you like this? Your husband was right inside you just now telling you how much he loved you then why couldn't you just stop your brain from running into overdrive when he wasn't around you?
The trust issues were not built in you because of him but they definitely were ruining things for you.
When he came back home that day he informed you that he was leaving for NYC for a few days, well that wasn't a surprise but then he told you that he would be taking Sheena along with him, she was his personal secretary afterall.
Every nerve in your body was on fire after that. As you helped him pack for the trip you felt nauseous and you didn't know how to calm down so you blurted out the first thing that came to your mind when you turned around to speak to him..
“i want to come..I want to join the trip”

Title: There's nothing like walking and having a heart to heart
(or Mike's Birthday Fic)
Ship: Mike x Dude
Words: 1.6k
Description: It's Mike's birthday and Dude spends the day with them to celebrate.
Mike woke up to warm lips gently kissing their forehead. They grumbled sleepily. The kisser whispered something that Mike’s still half-asleep brain couldn’t make out. The kissing was now accompanied by a big, warm hand cupping their cheek. Mike’s eyes fluttered open and they grimaced at the light pouring into their eyes. They barely got a glance at the person before closing their eyes again.
“What?” they grumbled, trying to shield their eyes with their pillow.
“Happy birthday, honey,” Dude said gently into their ear (they could make out who it was now). Mike shivered involuntarily from his breath so close to their neck. “I brought breakfast.”
He brought what? Mike’s brain was still in slow sleepy mode. Breakfast. Hm. Since when does their husband cook?
“Breakfast?” Mike mumbled. They looked at him when their eyes finally adjusted to the light. He was smiling at them as gently as they ever saw. His warm brown eyes twinkled in the light of the sun through the window.
He gestured to a tray sitting on the dresser. “I made you breakfast, with Consuelo’s help of course.”
“In bed?” Mike asked, still puzzled. They’d never had breakfast brought to their bed before.
“It’s eggs, toast, jam, and coffee,” he said with a smile. “I’d’ve had some bacon but…”
But I’m vegetarian, Mike’s brain finished. “Thank you.”
Dude brought it over like he was very proud of himself. Mike couldn’t help but chuckle, especially as they started to eat, and he watched them, gauging their reaction. You’d think he had never cooked anything in his whole life. Of course, that wasn’t true, but he hadn’t cooked much since he’d been with Mike. The coffee was pretty good. It was probably fresh off the stove and probably made by Consuelo. It had lots of sugar, just as they liked it. The eggs were made over easy. The toast was toasted lightly and the jam was strawberry. All of their preferences. Did Dude remember such trivial details?
He was still watching them carefully. Mike had never seen him quite so eager to impress, except for in the Burdette saloon, two years before.
“Did you remember how I take my coffee and like my eggs?”
He nodded. “Maybe I’m a sap, but I wanna know everything about you all the time.”
Mike’s heart warmed and their brain scrambled. He wanted to know everything? Even such stupid things as how they like their toast?
“It’s good. Thanks.”
Dude grinned. He had a grin that never ceased to reduce Mike to a puddle at his feet. He moved the tray and sat next to them on the bed.
He took their hands eagerly. “We’re gonna spend the day together. You and me. We’ll take a walk around town, talk a little. We’ll have lunch at one of these cantinas. I’ll give you your present, and we’ll have dinner here. I’ll run you a bath and we’ll spend the night in bed. We could cuddle or make love or whatever you want.”
Quite a day. Mike chuckled. “Am I going to have a minute alone?”
“You want a minute alone?”  He looked almost disappointed but was trying not to show it. Mike saw right through that.
“No,” they said. “But you’re being awfully…well, you seem to want to do everything for me.”
Dude shook his head fondly. “You spend every other day actin’ like I’m the damn king of something and it’s a problem when I wanna spend a day with you?”
“You’re the king of my heart, that’s something.”
“What you see in me, honey, I’ll never know.”
Mike saw their idea of an ideal man. They saw a handsome, brave, kindhearted man who had been through a lot but could still be funny and smile with a brightness to outmatch the sun. They saw a man they loved. They didn’t say any of this.
“I’ll take the day you have planned,” Mike decided. “It’d be nice to be with you all day uninterrupted.”
Dude was either anxious or eager. “You wanna take that walk now?”
They nodded. “After I get dressed.” They stood and moved toward the dresser, where the breakfast tray had been moved back to.
Dude waited on the bed for them to get dressed, and watched them as they did so. Dude’s gaze on their bare skin had once been a cause for nerves but now it was near comforting. Mike’s insecurity could never let it become fully comforting. His gaze was often appreciative, occasionally lustful in a way that was simultaneously loving. Now, it seemed enchanted, as if he was still amazed by what he saw. Mike shook their head and figured they misread his eyes.
Once they were dressed, Dude held out his hand to them. His hand always felt like they were made to hold theirs. They knew they were being silly by having that thought, and yet, it felt true.
“You look nice,” Dude said eventually, once they reached the road outside of the hotel.
Mike looked down at themselves. Brown pants, pale yellow shirt, bandana, cowboy hat. “These are my regular clothes, Dude.”
“Alright, you always look nice. I figure sayin’ it all the time would make it mean nothing.”
Their mind went back to the way he was watching him dress. Mike bit their lip, then released it. “What look were you giving me upstairs?” Dude’s skin warmed, but he didn’t quite blush enough to be pink. “I was thinking ‘bout how lucky I am.”
Lucky.  Mike repeated it in their mind. How could he be the lucky one here? They glanced at his warm brown eyes and his charming smile. If anyone was lucky, it was them.
As if sensing the retort brewing in Mike’s mind, Dude added, “You’re beautiful, and good to me. Nobody’s ever loved me like you. Everybody, except Chance, stopped giving me a chance when I was a drunk. You didn’t. I was terrible to be around, I know that. I know I don’t talk about that enough. I appreciate it.”
Mike glanced at him for a long time. “You weren’t terrible. It was hard seeing you like that. Not because you were a failure or a bad person, but because I loved you and you were hurt. You don’t need to feel indebted to me, you’ve done a lot for me too.”
“It’s not about gettin’ even, honey.”
Mike scoffed. “I know. We’re married. This isn’t business.”
“I was just sayin’ I’m glad you’re here. I wanted to say that on your birthday. I wanted to show that too.”
Dude had a slow, occasionally hesitant way of speaking. He almost caressed the words he said as he said them. They could never tell whether his brain worked slower than his mouth, if his mouth worked slower than his brain, or perhaps he needed time to consider each word he said. Regardless of the reason, the sound of Dude’s voice made everything feel sleepy and safe. Mike squeezed Dude’s hand affectionately. They didn’t need to say anything more.
Mike walked around town with Dude until their legs started to feel like lead and the sweat built up. It didn’t take long in Texas July heat.
Dude pulled them close on the bench they stopped to rest on. Mike couldn’t help but notice the increase in affection today.
“I want everyone to know you’re mine,” he said into their ear. There was something comforting about Dude’s brand of possessiveness. He never meant Mike was his property, like some men may have. He wanted everyone to know he loved Mike, and who they’d answer to if Mike got hurt. He’d defend their person and their honor from anyone. They were his to love and protect, not own. Not control.
Mike blushed slightly, then quipped,“They already know that, silly. Small town.”
He chuckled warmly and Mike felt it rumble in his chest. “I was just remindin’ ‘em.” And me, Mike thought. A roundabout way of saying ‘You’re safe with me. I love you.’ Mike always seemed to need the reminder.
“If anybody should be possessive, it’s me,” Mike joked. “My birthday would be a terrible day to lose you to a pretty distraction.”
“You’re the only pretty distraction.”
“Is that so?” Mike teased lightly.
Dude kissed their head in response.
“Can I have my gift before lunch?” Mike asked him.
“I don’t see why not.”
Dude reached into the inside pocket of his vest and pulled out something small, in a pain box. “It’s nothing fancy. I thought maybe you’d like to wear something you got from me, like that yellow shirt you made me. It’s not real gold. If I could get you somethin’ real nice with diamonds…”
Mike’s heart melted when they saw Dude’s horseshoe necklace. No, it wasn’t anything like the ornate gold and silver ones the rich might have. It might’ve been an alloy or maybe plated. Whatever it was, it wasn’t real gold, Mike knew that, and didn’t remotely care. They pulled their husband into a hug.
“I love you,” they said. “I’m never taking this off. It could be straw for all I care.”
“I thought maybe you’d want something nicer. You deserve something nicer.”
Mike shook their head. “Help me put it on?”
Dude clasped the necklace around their neck and snuck a kiss just above it. Mike’s skin heated in response, and their stomach fluttered. Mike tucked the necklace under their shirt.
“This might be the nicest birthday I’ve ever had.” They told him.
“I’m glad. I love you, honey.”
Mike kissed him, slowly and affectionately, and the pair went to lunch. Mike never felt more adored than they did that day.

[ riddle rosehearts | housewarden ]
riddle is very much 'all up in your business' for a lack of better words. he's always making sure your room is tidy and in peak condition.
if you have any issues at all, regarding the dorms or studies, he's the person (he'd like you) to go to. if he sees someone else helping you with something he exceeds in, he'll be down for a bit.
you become the dorms designated defense attorney, to stand up againt riddle whenever one of them gets in trouble. it's totally not because he has obvious favoritism.
whenever it's your turn to paint the roses red or take care of the flamingos and hedgehogs, he always joins you.
using the excues that 'it would hurt to go back to the basics after a while' but he knows it's because it's the only time you two get alone together, uninterrupted.
riddle convinces you to join the horseback riding club with him, or at least ride with him every once in the while. with no warning he may wake you bright and early just to say you'll be joining him.
[ trey clover | vice housewarden ]
errands have never been more fun. you guys are sam's biggest customers, as you shop for a majority of your dorm. it's nice not having to leave campus for such things.
whenever he goes out he asks if you need anything, on the rare occasions you don't join him.
he always gets or prepares dinner for you, riddle, and cater.
being the more approachable warden, most students come to him. upon seeing you're also a valuable person to go to for help or advice they do so.
at first, trey is very apologetic about the extra work but them becomes grateful when he sees it doesn't both you.
sometimes the freshman duo, but they mostly are out and about.
once a month, you two eat out at the lounge as a reward for the both of your hard efforts.
[ cater diamond | third year ]
barges in your room, if he's not already in there, while he's on live. no matter what you're doing. (of course, unless you tell him you're busy/srs beforehand.)
you're a reacurring face on his magecam, and they all love you. the amount of stan accounts is unreal.
your room is pretty much like his second one, he has his own corner even. each weekend he shows up to your door with a suitcase, 'cause the wardens won't let him stay on week nights.
on said weekends, you trick him into going 'grocery shopping' with you by disguising it as a 'snack run.'
he's always annoying you and asking for your opinion on everything.
he was very strategic and asks riddle to put you room next to his, when the warden says no he settles for a very specific room number for you. turns out you're now under his room and have to put up with his stomping.
if you listen carefully, you might be able to decipher morse code, but what do i know?
[ ace trappola | first year ] + [ deuce spade | first year ]
you three become inseparable, skipping down the heartslabyul halls with grim hanging onto your head for dear life.
ace is another one that is constantly bothering you, much unlike deuce who's just kinda there.
you three have weekly sleepovers in deuce's room, because it's the tidiest. and microwaveable dinner from sam's because none of you can afford the lounge.
when you go out for groceries, it's you and deuce getting the things you need and ace running around putting random items in your cart.
sometimes you guys sneak out of the dorms, and walk around the sleeping campus. you only head back when you exhale fog, knowing it's probably near morning.
you guys eat in the most obscure places, in school and your dorm. you always find hidden rooms in heartslabyul and make it your new 'spot' until you get caught and just find another when you do.
your punishments from riddle now consist of being unable to leave your rooms and see each other, telling other punished students to guard your bedrooms.
you one hundred percent have walkie talkies and peak out your window, judging poor passerby's outfits.

The home of Alfie Solomons was the quintessential diorama of an old man's bachelor pad. Despite the anxious and angsty attempts by his elderly maid Sarah, the home still carried the air of a man who not only preferred to be left alone, but also had no plans of adding anyone into his inner sanctum. There was paper and documents strewn about, half read books piled by his favorite chair, a hosting bar cart that was looking more ancient than him, and a massive dog making his home on the floor in front of the roaring fire. Alfie silently thanked Sarah for her efforts. Sarah was the best housekeeper he could have ever asked for, she was essentially silent, and did not scold him for the ever present animal pen he kept. Then only things she asked for was to be paid on time, for her Sabbath to be uninterrupted, and to be warned ahead of time if there was to be company. Luckily, he never had to concern her with the last item.
With a grunt he landed on his favorite chair, studying the unused love seat and the matching chair to his that sat across from him. It was a set that was meant to host, that was meant to have visitors and entertain. He had no idea why he bought them, they looked exactly as they did when he bought them three years ago. Untouched. And yet he couldn't help but imagine you sitting so prettily on the chair beside him. With every inhale he could smell the lingering scent of you on his jacket lapel. Clean, like plain soap and fresh air. A kiss of lavender oil that washed over him as you flipped your hair out of your face. He could see so clearly you laughing at his jokes, pouring out tea for you and him, rubbing Cyrils face and giggling at Alfie's gruffness. He could see you darning a small sock...
With a groan Alfie rubbed the visions out of his eyes like a dream. Because that's what it was isn't it? A stupid stupid dream. You were so... fresh and sweet and... frustrating and loud and obnoxious and such a know it all and... beautiful and kind and smart and...
Alfie huffed and got up to beg for sleep in his room, but his head on the pillow only ran through these reveries even more. You were much to young. 10 years his junior at least. You were pure and kind, and he was a bad man. It was an unequal yoke to carry. He had killed people in the war and at home. He had manipulated and schemed to get this. And you deserved more. You deserved a good man, a softer man. Someone who lived a quiet life and could give you a life above board, where you never had to look over your shoulder. Someone who was gentle and wouldn't argue with you, would just treat you like the Queen of Sheba. That is what you deserved. Not some old gangster with a bad back and dozens of men plotting his demise. With a sigh he resolved his promise. He would take care of you as long as you let him. Protect you from all the mess and nonsense of this job, and let you be the girl you are. And when it was time to let you go... he'd let you go. He could protect you and honor you ask long as you'd let him, but when the right man came along, he’d let you leave, knowing that you were safe. And with a sigh he rolled over, letting himself sleep for a few hours, his mind slipping off into a world where you maybe chose him, and made that other chair your favorite.
Across Camden you had just finished explaining to your mother that your very kind boss had just brought you home after a late night in the office. You had to assure her that you were safe and that he was very respectable, that no danger was present. Though the constant worrying and fussing irritated you sometimes, she was a good woman, a good mother, who just wanted the best for her oldest child.
Your mother and father got married incredibly young, and were forced to become acquainted with the world and it’s imbalances even earlier. Where you still got to be young and childless and educated, your mother at your age had already had you, and was working in the family tailors shop full time. The day you realized your mother could scarcely write her name, you heard your mother sobbing to your father late in the evening. It was then that you resolved to do your best in everything, making sure your mothers sacrifices weren’t in vain. And if it took a little white lie to keep her from having a heart attack? Well… it would be worth it.
“Ah I just don’t know darling, that seems awfully forward don’t you think? I don’t even remember your father being alone with me ever until our wedding night? Are we sure he is a good man? Do you have anything with you in your purse darling?”
“Mama I promise you everything is fine. I think his insistence in NOT letting me walk home is evidence enough yes?”
Your mother fiddled with the end of her long braid, a habit indicating her anxiety, a motion you know well, “Mmm I suppose… but darling I just worry. Young women now… very very independent and it is good but… oh I just don’t want you to be taken advantage of darling. Will you take a weapon or something with you?”
You laughed, and maybe you shouldn’t laugh at your own mother. But… oh it is your mother!!! The sweet woman that she was! Who refused to go to sleep without a candle, and forbid your father from cleaning his gun around her, and dropped many a plate due to loud noises… what does she know about a weapon!! “Mama what weapon?! Shall I bring a hand gun to work? Mama none of us know how to use a gun, except Papa and Eli! I’m ok I promise! My boss is not a dangerous man!”
From her place in the kitchen cabinet you heard her speak, “Oh hush! Of course not a gun!! You are absolutely ridiculous. No just take this pocket knife ok? Oh please don’t look so disturbed! It is in good condition and your father got it for me when he would have to work late at the tailors! Will just put it in your work bag please? For your poor mother? If you love me you’ll do it!”
With a laugh and a kiss on her soft cheek you affirmed her, “Of course mama, I could never refuse your gifts. Now now mama don’t be cross i am not teasing! Just promise me you don’t worry about me anymore! I am a grown woman and I am very capable of taking care of things. I learned from the best yeah?”
You mother nodded and kissed your cheek back, patting your head, “Yes yes. Well thank you my love. Now I’m off to bed, and you should too. Sleep well my darling.”
As you prepared for bed you felt a heaviness in the pit of your stomach. What would your mother say when she found out you had been lying to her? What if she did find out? What if she sees you with Alfie in the street? No no it wasn’t possible. Your mother hadn’t left this side of Camden in a decade, and she hates going farther than two blocks. No no it’s fine. You’re fine. And technically, it wasn’t a complete lie! No Alfie was honorable! And he was sweet! And he was handsome… and kind…. and smart… and rugged… if he weren’t a gangster you would’ve probably been matched with him… to be his wife.. No no! No what a childish fantasy. Those are the thoughts of a love struck child. He was your boss and that was it! So what if he was handsome? You were his secretary and that was it! And if he somehow decided to… promote you… you allowed a giggle to leave your chest as you blew out the lamp next to you. Tomorrow is another day.
Soon you developed a routine with Alfie, and the next few months seemed to fly like a wonderful dream. During the week you woke up, making yourself and Alfie lunch for day. The walk to the bakery was typically a lovely and brisk one, with the rising sun being your partner.
Upon arriving at the office, you make quick work of saying hello to the regular faces, and sneaking a sweet treat to Ollie. You set the kettle on, making sure a nice hot cup is ready for you and Alfie upon his arrival. A healthy amount of milk and sugar for you. Almost no milk for Alfie, but extra sugar. Then the daily schedule needs to be attended to. After working with Alfie for a few months you’ve developed a system of who gets what treatment. Some names get tea and a pleasant seat. Some get very bitter tea and must stand the entire time while they wait. Some get absolutely nothing, and are made to stand with their back to Alfie’s door, wondering how they will be summoned. Shot or call. During the meetings you take copious notes. Partially to make sure you don’t miss anything that Alfie will need to call upon later, partially to make visitors nervous about what is being recorded. You had become quite the necessary tool for Alfie. You added a certain glamour and class to the office. A sort of authority in the way you walked that continued to make weak men sweat in the office. Alfie’s favorite part of these meetings was having you re-read what was said, noticing that you added a certain something to keep the pressure on the other party. You were proving yourself an absolute natural.
It was during a day like this when Alfie came back from a ‘social visit’ with a big smile on his face, “Shalom treacle!! Get your coat darling we’re going out!”
You looked up from the calendar you were organizing, “Shalom Alfie, what do you mean we are going out? You have an appointment at 2, and you need to look at the numbers from last week and-“
“Hush woman, fuck the meeting I said we are going out.”
He grabbed your long coat from the hook, and held it open for you to put it on, “Now my love we have very special things today. You remember the gaming club Tommy mentioned? Well he found a place right? And today we are going to look at it and get a price for it.”
As you put your arms through the sleeves, and grabbed your scarf from Alfie you can’t help but question, “But what does this have to do with me? Why do you want me there?”
Alfie then finished his dressing of you by handing you your bag and offering you his arm, “What does this have to do with you? What does this have to do with you? Have I heard that right? Well my dear you put the fear of the devil himself into men like no other. Make them piss themselves. No no don’t laugh treacle it’s true! I need you to strike fear in the hearts of these sinners and help me find the holes. Think you can do it darling?”
The way he smiled at you… it made you want to do anything and everything for him. You smiled and nodded, “Let’s get on with it then.”
Alfie smiled even greater at the small smirk that played on your beautiful lips. He loved it when you worked with him like this. You walked arm and arm, laughing and carrying on like mischievous children ready to prank their teacher. You arrive at the possible location still laughing when you meet Thomas Shelby, and two other men, who you can only assume are the other Shelby brothers that you’ve heard so much about. Your eyes meet with Tommy’s, and you feel your stomach drop at the wink he gives you before walking toward you and Alfie. “Alfie, glad you could make it, “ he stoops down to grab your hand and kiss it, “Good to see you again darling. Let me introduce you to my brothers.”
You’re introduced to both Arthur and John. Your eyes soften at both their faces. John’s eyes show a soft mirth, a sweetness of a young man who still has so much to learn, much like Eli. Arthur… just looking at him your heart is heavy. You don’t know anything about him but his eyes look sad, and there is a weight to his shoulders that make you already feel quite sorry for him.
It takes about three flights of stairs to reach the top floor of the building. It's musty, clearly has not been used for some time, there are cobwebs and piles of dust over every counter, and the once white cloths covering the tables are now a dingy gray. Your wide eyes look up and around the space, clutching your notepad and pen to your chest, "What did this place used to be?"
Tommy answered, "It was once a bar, a little club run by some young idiot who thought he knew his way around this business. Couldn't make it past a year. Now.... it's been sitting vacant. Waiting for us."
You stray from Alfie's side, making notes of everything that would need to be done, "What all is included in the sale?"
"Everything. Tables, counters, fixtures, chairs. All for a reasonable price if you ask me."
"Mmmm Alfie will be the judge of that I think. Alfie, the wall paper will need to be redone yes? I think a richer color on the walls."
Alfie looked at Tommy and smiled, "Yes you're quite right treacle. A wine red yeah? Something indicative of the debauchery of such a hell hole."
"Mmm yes. Tommy, John, Arthur... how stable is this bar counter? How much would it cost to replace it?"
And so went the rest of the afternoon. You milling around the space making notes and sketches, and supplementing with the comments of the men in the room, who may or may not have been following you like ducklings. John and Arthur pulled curtains to let light in, and frankly John was more than willing to do what it took to gain a pleased smile from you. Once adequate notes had been taken, everyone sat around a table, waiting for the agent to come by and agree to a price.
During this part of the meeting, you tended to hold your tongue, only responding to when Alfie asked you to ‘refresh’ his memory on a particular point. It was these parts of the meetings that you could really see Alfie work his magic. Tommy Shelby and Alfie Solomons couldn’t be more different. Where Tommy was smooth and steady in tone, Alfie was a hurricane. A bear of a man who ripped things to shreds. Though on the surface it looked as though Alfie was merely destroying and rebuilding on a whim, there was a method. Study his opponent, memorize the motions and responses to his moves, and utilize it against them. Use previous information to flip and return on his enemy. It was a studied craft. Something you knew that had worked on for a long time. It was an art piece, and with every wink he threw your way, it was clear it was not just an act, but a piece of him. He was a gangster, through and through.
Soon enough, a deal was reached, and a plan was set in place for renovations to start the very next day. And in accordance with their 50/50 split, equal men of Shelby’s and Solomons’ men would be taking part in the work. All the men shook hands, you nodded and smiled at the Shelbys, quick to rebuff Tommy’s offer to take your hand again. Alfie seemed to be in a particularly good mood, and as you walked out of the building, he looked at you and said, “Oi... you hungry?"
You stopped and peered up in his eyes that were partially obscured by the wide brim of his hat, "Mr. Solomons are you asking me to dinner?"
He rolled his eyes, "Oh goodness... see this is why you can never be nice right? Because there you go... being cheeky with me... can never be a yes or no with you yeah? It's always got to be something with you innit? I mean - "
"Alfie Alfie! Yes I am hungry! Now take me to dinner and buy me a drink yeah?" You laughed at his blustering and grabbed his arm, making him meet your eyes, he huffed in response but couldn't keep the smile off his face.
"Buy you a drink yeah buy you a drink! Buy you a hobby so you stop harassing old men. I mean don't you have anything better to do than just be mean to your old boss?"
You laughed as you both walked away down the street, "What do you mean a hobby? My whole life now is just doing your bidding isn't it? And someone must keep you humble, all that business makes your head explode."
You let Alfie lead you to a clandestine pub a few blocks away, shrouded by family businesses and laughing people. As soon as Alfie walked in, the wait staff scurried around, clearing a table in the corner for both you and Alfie. Soon enough you had been given food and drink, and you felt increasingly more relaxed in your seat, facing away from the door opposite of Alfie. You allowed yourself to day dream in the comfortable silence you occupied. It didn't feel like dinner with your boss. It felt like dinner with a friend. Dinner with more than a friend. You imagined about what it would be like with Alfie all the time. To spend the afternoon with him walking through town, enjoying the sun and the conversation. To be taken to dinner with him, meet with friends and repeating faces. To be taken back home with him... sit in front of his fire... to fall asleep with him...
"Hello... treacle??" You're knocked out of your reverie with Alfie's bejeweled fingers waving in front of your face.
"Oh my gosh Alfie I'm so sorry! Yes whats wrong?"
Alfie laughed heartily head thrown back, "Goodness darling your mind must've been in fucking Timbuktu! I was asking if you wanted another drink?"
You felt the heat flush to your ears and cheeks and chuckled in your embarassment, "Oh my goodness I'm so embarrassed. No no I'm fine Alfie thank you. You go, I'll keep our table."
Alfie nodded and went to the bar to grab another glass of Rum. You proceeded to look around the cozy pub when a man slid into Alfie's seat. "Well hello beautiful. Mind if I sit here?"
Your eyes rushed to him. Young. Could be handsome if he cared to bathe and wash the stink of liquor off of him and change his shirt. His eyes were bloodshot, and he was sweaty. Stupid. Clearly so. "I'm sorry but you must be mistaking me for someone else. I'm here with my boss and you are sitting in his seat."
He sneered and winked at you, "Oh I saw the old man alright. Solomons yeah, I know him. I'm not too worried about the old man darling. Why don't you come sit with me yeah? I promise I am much more pleasant company."
The irritation was brewing in your stomach, but in truth you didn't want to cause a scene, "If you know Mr. Solomons then you either have a death wish or you are stupid. Please leave and get away from me. Mr. Solomons will not be happy to see you in his seat."
"You calling me stupid?"
"I am. You are clearly an imbecile, and a drunk one at that, now if you excuse me."
You proceeded to get up to find Alfie, when the man stood up and grabbed your arm, "You dumb bitch, how dare you get up. I'm trying to be nice to you!"
The table fell over with a clatter, and you began to scream, "Get off of me!!"
Before you could say another word Alfie came through wretching the man's hand off your arm, squeezing the man's neck."Now you listen to me right? You apologize to the young lady right now."
The young man's face began to slowly turn red, but he managed to splutter out, "Or what? You're gonna hit me with your cane?"
Alfie only seemed to squeeze tighter, and you saw something in Alfie's eyes that you've never seen before. It scared you. "No... no no... this is what's going to happen. If you don't apologize to the sweet young lady here. I will kill you. If you do apologize, I will not kill you. Now I think... I think that is a pretty generous offer yeah? And little man... I think you know who I am. And I think you know that killing little vermin like you doesn't bother me the least bit yeah? So what will it be? Quickly now!"
Without Alfie letting go, the slowly purpling face gasped out, "I'm sorry. I'm so... sorry ma'am."
You nodded back, feeling bile rise in your throat. Alfie dropped the man unceremoniously on the floor with a crack of the table. Without looking away from the gasping man he yelled to seemingly no one and everyone, "OUT!"
Every patron but you and the owner scrambled out with out a second thought. The bar owner locked the door and went to the back, and you felt your pulse quicken ringing in your ears. The sick in your stomach swirling. Alfie circled the still gasping man, who had bruises blooming on his throat, "Now... who taught you to grab women like that eh? Who said that was ok?"
The man didn't respond, and in anger Alfie kicked him right in the ribs. You screamed behind your hands as you heard the sickening thud and crack. Alfie grabbed the man by the collar and shoved him against the wall, 'WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? YOU THINK YOU CAN GRAB MY SECRETARY! YOU CAN GRAB MY GUEST?"
The young man began to sob, begging, and saying he was sorry. Alfie only continued, "Oh you crying now yeah? I thought you said you knew about me and weren't scared. That's why you thought you could harass my sweet secretary yeah? Well let me get you better acquainted."
With that, you saw the Mad Baker of Camden for the first time. Beating and beating and beating the man in front of you. Blood coating the knuckles of Alfie, as the young man's face proceeded to take the most brutal beating of it's life. You tried to stay quiet but it became too much, "ALFIE ENOUGH! It's enough Alfie!"
He paused, fist mid air as the man quivered underneath him. Alfie turned to you, "Enough? It's enough?? This man touched you without your permission and this is enough?!"
"You're going to kill him Alfie! Please enough!"
"I determine when it's enough!"
And he went back to punching him, growing more and more wrathful. And it became too much when the groans stopped, but the punches didn't. All you could do was scream at Alfie and weep. When Alfie finally finished and was heaving, you shoved a napkin in Alfie's hand and left without a word.
You began walking down the street, the tears streaming down your face. You didn't want anyone to see you crying, and the slowly setting sun aided. It was going to be an hour walk home. Your feet will hurt by the end of the night. But you didn't care. You needed the walk. You needed the air. You needed the scent of blood out of your nose and the sight of Alfie out of your mind. You had walked for who knows how long when you heard Alfie's voice yelling over the sound of a car, "Get in the car NOW!"
You looked over your shoulder, Alfie was yelling your name out the window of the car, with Ollie driving. You turned your head back and kept walking forward. You kept hearing Alfie curse, yelling your name, "Stop being a child and get in. DO AS I SAY NOW!"
"OR WHAT? YOU'LL BEAT ME WITHIN AN INCH OF MY LIFE??"
You tried to keep walking, but in a dangerous move the car sped and swerved in front of you, blocking your walk. You gasped as Alfie got out of the car, with a red stained, jeweled finger in your face, "Listen to me... you stop this act. You get in the car right now. You can be angry at me all you want but listen to me... you do not walk home alone. You work for me, you don't walk alone at night. Now. Get. In. The. Fucking. Car."
Tears were still streaming down your face, and you were so so angry with him, but you didn't have a choice. And your feet were hurting. With a huff you walk in the car, not letting him hold the door open for you. You sat in your seat, nodding at a very embarrassed looking Ollie. As soon as Alfie sat next to you, you stared out the window, looking at all the apartments whose occupants were definitely not listening in to your argument. You sat in silence for a few moments, but you couldn't hold it in any longer, "That was too far Alfie."
"I decide what is too far."
"You could have killed him."
"And the world would be better for it."
"You cannot treat people like that Alfie. He was just a child."
"A child who definitely would have hurt another woman in the future, he needed to learn a lesson."
You turned to him then, "Oh and that's how people are taught then yeah? Beating them to a bloody pulp any time they make you upset?"
He leaned in to your face, getting dangerously quiet, "This is my life darling. This is what you signed up for."
You scoffed, "I did not sign up to be a witness to you being a beast! This is not a way to live! This is heinous! You don't have a right to treat people this way!"
You didn't realize your volume, or the way your heart was racing. You were heaving, tears streaming down your face. His eyes... fixated on you. There was rage but you knew it wasn't at you, "I have every right darling. This is the life that has been given to me. Everything that I have, everything that I can give to you, Ollie, and the rest of the men in that distillery, is because of what I do. This world that we live in darling? You think that's fair? Nah... that ain't fair. If you want anything in this life... you need to take it. Grab it with both hands and never let go and never let anyone else take it. This is the way this world works beloved. This. This is what you signed up for. Now either grow up... or don't come back to the office."
You breath stopped. You didn't even consider that option. You felt more tears fall as you turn to face the window again. The rest of the car ride was in agonizing silence. You hated every minute. Alfie made no noise except a huff. After an infinity, you finally reached your home before you could move Alfie put his hand out, "Don't get up yet."
He grumbled as he got out of the car, looked around at both ends of the street, and then went to your door, opening it and helping you out. You refused to meet his eyes but you took his hand. You also let him walk you to the door, and as you reached for the door, you hear him cough and say, "I want you back at the office treacle alright? Course I do. But you really need to decide whether you can handle this. I hate seeing you upset I do darling. But this is who I am. This is the business. Now you need to decide if you can do it. Alright?"
You nodded your head limply. He just patted your head, feeling sick in his stomach, "Alright then. I'll know your answer if I don't see you tomorrow. Good night sweet heart."
"Goodnight Alfie." You whispered, turning your back quickly to run upstairs. Alfie would drive home in complete silence that night, agonizing about what would happen.
You ran past your whole family gathered around mending the laundry in the sitting room. You refused to tell you mother what happened, and didn't let Eli in your room. When your younger sister asked you what was wrong, you just cried in her chubby baby arms, while she patted your head with her child palms. You cried in your pillow, reliving the vision you saw, wondering what to do. You didn't want to see that kind of violence, you had never seen anything like that. But you loved this job. You loved your freedom. You loved spending time in the office, laughing with Alfie and meeting new people. You tossed and turned all night, but sleep would not take you. It was well past midnight when you finally felt the exhaustion of the day creep its' fingers over your eyes.
And then you smelled the smoke.

You wake up the following morning, smushed against Jake's chest. Your skin feels feverish against his, the sweltering body heat trapped inside the blankets is enough to make you feel slightly choked in the space on your bed. An exasperated yawn sounds from your chest as you attempt to twist in Jake's arms, which are securely locked around your frame. The sudden movement makes Jake stir awake with a husky groan, his arms tightening around you in the slightest before releasing.
"Good morning," he greets, running a hand over his face, tousling his sleep-ridden hair. Having been roommates with Jake for an extended period of time, you've witnessed him in many forms and seeing him first thing in the morning isn't new to you, but seeing Jake freshly awake in your bed with his arms still around you, voice thick with sleep? Man, he's a sight for sore eyes.
"Good morning," you return the pleasantry, pausing your attempts at unraveling your limbs from his. You forget why you even started moving in the first place, the second you catch the lighthearted expression he's wearing as he soaks you in. Several seconds of uninterrupted silence pass, both of you sharing an undefinable moment filled with awestruck glances and feathery touches.
Jake clears his throat, pulling himself back down so that he can't be labeled a creep for admiring how soft you look first thing in the morning with pillow lines on your cheek and doe-like eyes that twinkle in the sunlight. "Sleep okay?" There's a hopefulness in his voice, though you feel as though he should know the answer himself. You passed out long before him, and didn't consciously stir awake until about five minutes ago.
"Are you kidding," you yawn, propping your chin on his chest to keep from breaking eye contact. "I think that's the best sleep I've gotten all year." Bashful chuckles bubble from each of you at the exclamation you humorously uttered, though your words are sincere. Something about Jake's presence in your bed gave you the most fantastic, mind-fuzzing, sleep you've had in ages.
"Good," he hums, drawing your hair away from your face to secure it behind your ear, knowing you hate when it gets in your eyes. A rather accomplished, arrogant smirk crosses his face as your words fully register in his brain, his thoughts trailing back to how set you were on his clear inability to cure your insomnia the night before. "And you were so convinced I wouldn't be able to help." His tone is playful as his smirk shifts into a full shit-eating grin. "How's it feel to eat your words, sweetheart? Wanna give me that five star yelp review now?"
Your eyes involuntarily roll at his antics, your arms pushing your body from his chest so that you're looking down at him. "Don't get too ahead of yourself, Seresin. I'd barely slept in days, how do you know my body hadn't hit its breaking point on sleep deprivation? That could very well have been the cause for all the sleep I just got, so don't go assuming all of the credit for yourself." He can tell you're joking by the way your nose twitches in the slightest as you speak. Both of you know fully well that, while your body was teetering closer to its breaking point due to a lack of sleep, you would've been up for the better part of the night without Jake's, somewhat, forceful intervention.
"That's an odd way to say 'thank you' but I guess I'll take it," he drones, looking oddly comfortable still being wrapped in the blankets on your bed. Part of you assumed he would've been rushing to unravel himself from you the moment sleep welcomed you, but the fact that he didn't warms your heart as you continue soaking his presence in. He watches you, not minding the silence on your end as you hover over him. His fingers itch to rest on the curve of your jaw, but remain in their position fisting the soft covers. Though the atmosphere is soft, Jake doesn't want to push his luck by being overly affectionate with you. Sure, he's relentlessly flirted with you at times, but it's all been seemingly pointless banter to get under your skin. Unbeknownst to you, he'd love to freely express the peace that swirls in his chest when moments like these are shared, but the possibility of whatever would blossom by doing so crumbling and ruining your friendship keeps him from acting on those wants.
You smile at him, taking the silence as a cue to get your morning started, but Jake's hands find a home on your hips at the first sign of movement, planting you firmly in place. Your eyebrows raise in question, unsure of whether the vibe is to move or to stay in bed with him. This is an uncharted moment in your relationship with Jake and it's got you second guessing even the smallest decisions, that you wouldn't think twice about if it were anyone else tangled in your sheets.
"Let's stay here a little longer. I don't have anywhere to be," though it's a statement, his words portray themselves as more of a shy question. You swear there's a light pink hue to his cheeks as he locks his eyes on yours, seemingly searching for your reaction.
"Okay." You settle back into the covers the moment your agreement rolls from your lips. Your head finds the pillow as you get comfortable, laying on your side so you can face him. He mirrors your position, a content curve on his lips as he shuffles closer in the slightest. "What do you have on your agenda today, Lieutenant?"
He hums, scanning the ceiling as if he's running through his daily tasks in his head. "My day's clear, outside of meeting the squad at the Hard Deck tonight. You?"
"No plans," you hum, feeling grateful to finally have time off with it being the weekend. "Thought I'd see where an empty schedule takes me. There's a farmer's market across town that peaked my interest, but I'm not sure I'm going to go." The normalcy of talking about each others schedules makes you feel a bit shy. You can't help but imagine a different reality in which you and Jake are more than just platonic roommates, but a couple in love. A couple starting their morning off together, unaware of the outside world, with the dainty glow of the early sun casting a soft hue over both of their features. The images leave your brain scrambled with the thought of the man in front of you's attention being on you in a different way.
"You should go. Hell, I wouldn't mind going with if you're not sick of my company." You're surprised by the fact that he's even remotely interested in attending a farmers market with you on his day off, especially after having already spent the night huddled with you in bed so that you'd sleep. Your cheeks subtly heat up at his partial offer.
"You'd go to a farmers market with me? I mean, you wouldn't want to do anything more interesting with your day off?"
"Contrary to popular belief, jet fuel and adrenaline aren't constantly necessary to keep me functioning," he jokes, rolling back into his pillow, twinkling eyes locked on you. "I enjoy normal people things like farmers markets and people watching just as much as the next guy."
"I feel like that statement just taught me a lot more about you than I've learned in our time as roommates Seresin. Though, I gotta admit, I call bullshit on you not needing jet fuel and adrenaline to keep you sane. You without those things is a scary thought," you inform him, running a hand through your hair.
Jake rolls his eyes at your words, his humored laugh echoing off the walls in the room. "Like I said, they're not constantly needed, but that doesn't mean I don't need them at all." There are a few beats of silence as you settle back into your positions, both of you holding content expressions on your face due to the laid back aura in the room. Jake props himself on his elbows, twisting so that he's looking at you again. "So, what do you say, trip to the farmers market? If you feel so bad about dragging me along, you can come to the Hard Deck with me later to make up for it." He catches the way your eyebrows raise curiously at his words, but remains hopeful that you won't shoot him down.
"You want me to go to the Hard Deck with you? Normally Tash is the one to give me an invite," you'd meant to agree to his offer of plans, but your mouth had other ideas, solely focused on him being happy with spending the day with you. Granted, you've spent multiple days together one on one, but they've typically been more task driven days like grocery store trips or running errands. A day full of moments with Jake Seresin with no purpose outside of keeping each other company? That's a nice change of pace.
"Yes, I want you to come, if you want to, that is," he tells you. "Now, are we doing this, or are you going to keep second guessing everything I say?"
Your eyes involuntarily rolls at the lighthearted impatience in his voice. "I guess we're doing this." You're smiling at him as he moves, offering you a hand to help you up so that you can both get ready and start the day. You pause in your room as he retreats to his room, silently admiring how domestic the entire thing feels.
You spend the day with Jake as planned, admittedly enjoying his company outside of a group setting, and outside of your shared living quarters. Witnessing Jake get excited over various booths, marveling over handmade knick knacks and food truck items has your heart swimming with newfound attraction for him. You've always thought he was attractive, though the initial cockiness and arrogance demeanor dulled it in the begging, but seeing him let his guard down in an atmosphere that doesn't require flight suits or competition shines a new glow onto him. Butterflies swirl in your chest every time he laughs, the slight crinkle in his nose and twinkle in his eyes making you feel some type of way under the glowing sun.
Hours pass slowly at the market without the weight of responsibilities as you're both able to let loose and simply enjoy passing moments. You walk around till your feet ache, and by that point, it's time to head back to the house to get ready for a night out with your shared friends. Natasha texted you halfway through the day, requesting your presence at the bar. She was pleasantly surprised when you informed her that Jake had already asked you to come. Being the one that introduced you to Jake, she quickly caught on to the way the two of you seemingly lit up whenever the other is around. She caught the subtle undertone of attraction in your fruitless banter, and has secretly been making bets with Bob on how long it'd take for you and Jake to stop tip-toeing around your obvious feelings and dive into them head first. The fact that she hadn't been the one to invite you out first, feels like a step in that direction, to her anyway.
Everyone in the squad caught onto something different in the air the moment you and Jake walked in. The two of you were practically buzzing as you approached them with wide smiles, Jake's hand subconsciously resting on the small of your back. You sent Natasha a confused glance when she suggestively wiggled her eyebrows from her spot next to Bob, her eyes immediately trailing to an unaware Jake, who already moved to fill in for Javy at the pool table.
"What's the look for, Tash?" You ask when you're sure she's close enough to hear you. She wordlessly shrugs, unable to wipe the grin off her face at the appeared lovesick statues both you and Jake have been wearing since you walked in the door.
"Oh, nothing, nothing," she waves off, taking a sip of her drink with a humored glance at Bob, who's standing a few feet from you. "You're just, glowing a little different tonight is all."
The rest of the night at the bar consisted of the perfect amount of alcohol and effortless laughter. The drama-free time at the bar left you feeling light as Jake drove the two of you home at the end of the night, both of you recounting moments shared with the squad.
"I still can't believe that girl turned Javy down like that," you snort, clutching your abdomen to dull the ache from laughing so much. "I mean, she was the one that approached him!"
"Guy can't catch a break," Jake shakes his head, easily pulling his truck into a its designated spot by your place. Several more humored giggles erupt from you at the memory of the look on Javy's face when the girl physically ghosted him while everyone watched. Jake let himself out of the truck, strolling to the passenger side to help you out. He rolls his eyes at the way you continue spouting off more ridiculous recounts of the night, his own chuckles flowing into your ears as he waits for you to unlock the door.
"Home," you sigh, dropping your purse on the floor next to your already discarded shoes. You bask in the familiar scent o sandalwood, still surprisingly fresh after the candle had been blown out hours ago when the two of you left. Jake pauses to watch you, something about the way you visible relax makes his heart swell. He discards his keys onto their designated ring by the door, slipping off his own shoes when you spin towards him suddenly. "Hey, thanks for today. I, um, I really needed it."
He blinks at you in surprise, not anticipating any sort of thank you for simply spending time together. "Of course, darlin'. Thanks for letting me invade your space for the day, I enjoyed it too. I hope I proved that I don't need jet fuel to have a good time." You nod with an appreciative sigh, unable to stop yourself from yawning. A somewhat victoriously smirk curves onto the edge of Jake's lip as he straightens up, taking a few steps closer to where you're standing. He leans a little closer to help guide your jacket off. "Looks like I successfully tired you out enough to encourage your body to let you sleep tonight. Seems like I'm pretty good at this."
Your eyes roll at him, a lighthearted scoff sounding from you as you graciously watch him hang your jacket on the coatrack. "Don't let it get to your head, Seresin. You can't afford for that ego to get any bigger than it is now."
"Getting better at thanking me, I see," he winks, following you through the house toward where your bedrooms are, ready to change into comfortable clothes. You shake your head at him, each of you letting those words be the last that are spoken before disappearing in your rooms to get comfortable for the night.
You quickly swap your skinny jeans and top out for biker shorts and your favorite oversized t-shirt, swiping a makeup wipe across your skin. Once you're fully ready, you collapse onto the covers with a content noise, smiling at your ceiling as the day flashes through your mind again. Though you spent the entirety of the day with him, Jake's presence is missed now that you're back in your bed. The memory of his embrace from the night before ghosts itself across your skin, making you feel restless as you toss and turn in your sheets.
Your mind reels with every touch, every smile, and word Jake uttered to you over the last forty-eight hours. Each of them kicking you into overdrive, wishing things were different. Minutes pass slowly, seemingly looming over your head the longer you toss and turn in your bed.
With a frustrated groan, the covers are kicked away from your legs, falling from the floor as your feet subconsciously carry you across the hall to Jake's cracked door. There's a minuscule amount of light peeking through the small space, signaling that his lamp is on, which means that he's likely still awake himself. Pausing, you take a deep breath before tapping your knuckles on the wooden door, cringing at the gentle sound it emits.
"Hey," Jake calls, inviting you into his room. He wordlessly closes the journal in his hands when you come into view, wearing a curious expression when his eyes land on you. "Everything alright?"
Your cheeks heat up in embarrassment, suddenly feeling silly that you'd interrupted his routine again. You're not fully sure why you felt the need to come see him, but can't escape the fact that you're already here now. "Oh, uh, yeah, everything's fine. I was just wondering, uh-you know what, it's stupid. Goodnight." The words rush out of your mouth so fast that they string together, your feet twisting you towards the door as Jake calls after you.
"Y/n, wait," he calls, sitting up. You mentally curse yourself, turning back to face him with a sheepish look. His gaze is soft as he addresses you, making your shoulders relax in the slightest. "What is it darlin'?"
You blink, debating whether or not to admit that the real reason behind your presence in his room is because you don't want to sleep alone. Sucking in a sharp breath, you timidly admit, "I was just wondering if, maybe, I could crash in here with you? I know I'm probably a bed hog, and you're probably sick of me after being with me all day, but you know, I just thought I'd ask. Wouldn't hurt to test your insomnia healing theory again, would it?" The last statement makes him laugh, the sound only furthering the heat gathering in your cheeks. "But, that's stupid. I'm just gonna go-"
"There's plenty room in my bed for both of us," he cuts you off gently, patting the space next to him, which he'd already pulled back for you to climb in. You stare at him, still feeling mortified by the subtle admission that you don't want to sleep alone. "Plus, I'm still waiting on that yelp review. Wouldn't hurt to get a few more brownie points under my belt." You appreciate the way he takes it upon himself to make light of the situation rather than fully rubbing it in your face that you're the one requesting to sleep with him tonight. "Well, don't just stand there. My bed's getting cold."
"Always so bossy," you huff, sliding in his bed. The faint scent of his lingering cologne wafts into your nose, forming an involuntary smile on your lips. It's embarrassing how your body reacts to being so close to him, prior to his helping you sleep, it had been easy to ignore how he makes you feel. Now, it seems like there's an invisible magnetic field dragging you to him without question.
"Get comfortable sweetheart," he commands, switching the lamp off so that he can settle next to you. His arms slide around you, pulling you against him without warning, not that you're complaining. This is exactly what you'd come into his room for. He releases a content sigh once you're fully tucked against him, his eyelids immediately feeling heavy. After a few moments of quiet, Jake murmurs, "For the record, I wanted to ask if you wanted company tonight too."
Those two nights, wrapped up in each other underneath soft sheets, sparked an unspoken tradition of curling into each other when the sun went down. You always talk as you get comfortable, your hearts beating heavy in your chest as your eyes grow heavy. Letting the sound of each others even breathing, and being knotted around each others bodies, be what lulls you both to sleep. You rotate between sleeping in his bed, and him sleeping in yours, neither of you really asking as you're always seemingly on the same page as to who's making the others' room their resting place for the night.
Several weeks of sleeping in each others bed, led you to a night of hesitantly expressing your, more than platonic, feelings for one another. Jake's hands were cupping your face when he promised that he's hoped to be more than your roommate since the day the two of you signed your lease. Your cheeks hurt from smiling when you admitted to those feelings being mutual, at least after you'd realized that he wasn't as arrogant and egotistical as he'd first let off.
"Y/n, I'd be happy to spend every night with you in my arms," he breathes, his face growing closer to yours in the slightest, making your breath catch in your throat. "I'd be even happier if you were more than just my roommate. Am I crazy to think that we're meant to be more than that?"
Your eyes trail to his lips shamelessly before landing on his eyes again. Your voice in a hushed whisper, "I'd be a hypocrite if I told you that you're crazy for thinking that, because I think we're meant to be more too."
"That's all I need to know," he smiles, suddenly capturing your lips with his, letting them speak for the two of you as your roommate relationship blossoms into much more.
*****************
Never anticipated a second part when writing 'Little Insomniac' but then I realized that your and roommate Jake's storyline simply couldn't end so abruptly. I couldn't do that to myself. Though, I anticipated a snippet, and then wrote over 3,000 words soo there's that. Also, this little miniseries is comical to me because, I'm also an insomniac and just finished this at 5 am.
Now that this is under my belt, FAWN volume two will be finished and uploaded next. I hit a bit of an inspiration stunt, but I'm feeling like this helped sooo....FAWN TWO will actually be posted within the next few days to those of you looking forward to it!!

Chapter 13: What's In a Name?
After the holidays, you and Bradley fell into a comfortable rhythm. You'd decided to stop taking your birth control, and whatever happens, well, happens.
After the New Year, it's Valentine's Day, and soon, you're celebrating another birthday. Bradley's gift to you is a weekend away at Camp David, just the two of you. He jokes that it's because he has run out of oval shaped diamond jewelry to give you. You throughly enjoy your uninterrupted time with him.
During the first weekend of May, you host a two day camp for teen girls who are interested in STEM careers. You bring in women who are experts in their field to teach classes, host demonstrations, and answer questions. It ends with a gala for all the attendees and volunteers.
The Tuesday after, E! News tweeted a photo of you with some of the girls from the camp with the caption "First Lady Y/N Bradshaw host first annual 'Girls in STEM' gala at the White House." You click the link and read the article about your gala.
You decide to retweet it, but make a subtle correction. You type out your response. "Thank you for the wonderful coverage, E! News, but it is First Lady Y/N Wiseman."
You tap the button and send it out into the digital universe before returning your attention to some logistical things you were working on in your office.
Across the White House, Bradley's phone dings with an alert that you've posted something. He sees that you've tweeted about your gala from this weekend. He smiles at the photo and article, but his smile quickly drops when he sees the caption you've added. "What the hell?" He mumbles.
He immediately stands up from his desk, putting off his work for another time. He needs to talk to you— now.
After a quick conversation with your assistant, he learns that you are in your office. He bursts through the door without knocking. "Bradley!" You shriek as you jump in your chair.
"What the hell is this?" He asks as he points to his phone.
"Your cellphone?" You say skeptically.
"I know that, I mean this!" He huffs as he makes his way over to your desk and shows it to you.
"Oh, the E! article. You should read it. I thought it was great." You tell him.
"Not that, the damn article, woman! I meant what you tweeted about it. First Lady Y/N Wiseman? You're Y/N Bradshaw. Why would you go by your maiden name?" He asks you with an annoyed tone.
"Actually, I never changed my name when we got married. Legally, I'm still Wiseman." You reply nonchalantly.
"Wha—why? Why didn't you change it?" He sputters.
"Beacause, Bradley, when we got married, I was planning on divorcing you in four years. I didn't see the point." You shrug.
"Is that still your plan?" Bradley asks with an edge of anger. "No. It's not. I have no plans on divorcing you, Dearest." You tell him with a smile.
"Then why haven't you changed it? We've been married for over eighteen months." He states.
"There's no law that says I have to. It's the twenty-first century. Why is it such a big deal? You ask him.
"It's a big deal because I've always called you Mrs. Bradshaw. That's who you are to me. If we don't have the same last name, it's like we aren't a —united front. It means—I don't know how to explain it." He says, frazzled.
"It's just a name, Bradley. It doesn't matter." You say before turning back to your work.
Bradley's jaw ticks. "It doesn't matter?" He says as he stalks over to your desk. He stands in front of it and plants his hands firmly on the wood. You can tell he's tense. You get up and slide in front of him and wrap your arms around his neck. "Don't get yourself all worked up, Mr. President. I mean, what's in a name, really?" You ask as you thread your fingers through his hair.
"I want you to change your name." He gruffs.
"I'll think about it." You tell him.
"You've had time to think about it. I want you to change it. He states, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Bradley, it's not a big deal. Chill out." You sigh. You move to slip out from in front of him, but he locks you in place with his arms.
"You're my wife. You're going to change your name, so that way everyone knows you're mine." He growls. You narrow your eyes at him before saying those two faithful words. "Make me."
You stood in front of your desk, your eyes locked with Bradley's silently daring him to say something back. He had half a mind to throw you over his shoulder and take you to the bedroom and fuck the brat out of you. Instead, he spun you around and pushed you flush with the top of your desk. He hiked your skirt up and tugged the lace of your underwear down your thighs before delivering a harsh smack to your ass.
"Bradley!" You gasp from pain and pleasure. "You wanna act like a brat. I'll treat you like one." He breaths in your ear before delivering another smack.
"Fuck!" You groan as you arch your back to him. He chuckles and spanks you again before sinking to his knees and burying his face in your already dripping cunt.
Your fingers grip onto the edge of your desk as he fucks his tongue into you and sucks your clit into his mouth. It's hot and fast and dirty, and you're already about to tip over the edge. "I'm going to cum!" You warn him. But right before you fall, he stops.
You whine in protest. "Bradley! I was so close." You tell him.
"I know." He responds back with a smirk. He slaps your rear again before gathering up your wetness on his digits and sinking them into you. He has no trouble finding your gspot, and he strokes it over and over again while his thumb toys with your clit.
"Fuck! Feels so good, Bradley. Please!" You gasped as you feel your release approach. Bradley can feel you clenching around his fingers but before you can cum, he pulls them out and wipes them on the back of your skirt.
"What the fuck!" You scold him. "Brats don't get to cum." He tells you. "Now, I'm going to fuck you, and you don't get to cum until you decide to be a good girl for me." He growls before slamming into you.
He doesn't give you any time to adjust to his size before his hips are roughly smacking yours. He has one hand gripped on the back of your neck. The other his holding both of your arms behind your back. This gives him the leverage he needs to hold you in place or pull you back against him while he fucks you.
He's so deep you can feel the head of his cock kissing your cervix with every thrust. Within minutes, you're already close to the edge, after being denied twice.
"Fuck—please. Bradley, I'm so close!" You practically cry. "Are you going to be a good girl for me?" He grunts out. "Yes—yes. Please." You moan. "Tell me who you are then." He commands.
"I'm you're good girl." You pant.
"Nope. Not right." He moans.
"I'm you're little brat." You preen. You're so close that you feel like your body is on fire.
"Still wrong." He groans.
"Fuck. I'm the fucking First Lady!" You whale.
"Close but still not it." He hisses as he tries to hold off his own finish.
"Mrs. Bradshaw. I'm Mrs. Bradshaw!" You scream.
"Yeah you fucking are. Now cum for me Mrs. Bradshaw." Bradley moans. He doesn't have to tell you twice. Your orgasm crashes over you in waves as tears stain your cheeks. Bradley grunts as he finishes deep inside of you. Painting your walls white with his release.
He collapses on top of you. The room is filled with your gasps for breath and the scent of sex.
"I want you to change your name because you're my family now. You're the only family I really have. I'm the last Bradshaw if you don't." Bradley admits to you. As you both come down from your highs.
"Okay." You breathe out. "Okay?" He clarifies. "Okay, I'll if it means that much to you, I'll make it Mrs. Bradshaw, officially." You tell him.
He smiles and kisses the top of your head before slowly pulling out of you. He grabs some tissues to help clean you up before sliding your underwear back into place. He spins you around and kisses you deeply before exiting your office.
He walks down the hallway whistling and greets Jaycee as he passes her. She rolls her eyes and has a knowing smirk on her face.
She strolls into your office moments later.
"I was going to see if you were free for lunch, but it looks like you've already had some afternoon delight." Jaycee snickers as she plops onto your couch.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." You blush as you try to deny her.
"Oh, so it's just a happy accident that Bradley just so happened to be walking down the hall with his suit crumpled, and you just have thst freshly fucked look on your face because it's a Tuesday?" She prods. You try to come up with a witty remark, but you know you've been caught.
"Hey, I'm not judging you one bit. Lord knows what Jake and I have gotten up to in the middle of the day in his office." She laughs.
"Oh, trust me. I know. I've seen it." You shudder at the memory.
"Alright, enough talking about office sex-capades, or I'm going to end up having a vice president for lunch. The new secretary service agent, Alex, I think, is downstairs waiting for us." Jaycee says as she hops up to take your arm to escort you out.
......................
A few weeks later, you wake up early. You have a very busy day. You spend a few extra minutes cuddling your husband before both of you get up. You enjoy breakfast together. Bradley asks about your day, and you tell him that you have some errands to run, but you'll be home in time for dinner.
He briefs you on his day full of meetings and budget proposals, and there are two new bills on his desk that he had to take a look at.
You promised you'd help him look over them tonight, and you let him know you had a surprise for him this evening.
You kissed him before heading out to the garage with your new secret service agent, Alex.
Bradley finished his breakfast before heading to the bedroom to get ready. He was eager to get this day over with, because the quicker this day was over with, the quicker he was able to find out what your surprise for him was. He was praying that it was that little black number he saw you sneaking into the closet last week.
..................
It was getting close to five in the afternoon and Bradley was just finishing up his last look over for this new bill. He was anxious because he knew it was almost time for you to be home, but suddenly, an eerie feeling washed over him. Something felt—off.
He ignored it before continuing to work.
He was just about to wrap up for the day when Dante burst into his office with wide eyes and a heaving chest.
"Dante? What's wrong?" Bradley asked as he abruptly stood up. Several other members of the security team and Jake filed in behind him. Bradley's heart dropped.
"Dante—" He began as he gripped the side of his desk, terrified his legs would give out.
"Sir, the First Lady has been taken."
