can I just say how much I love stolitz and how messy, complicated, and tragic it is

it's going to feel SO good and rewarding once they're on the same page and learn to grow (both by themselves and together) and be in a relationship- no ties no transactions. just a genuine partnership

also I commend the writers for writing a miscommunication scene that didn't feel frustrating to watch (for the wrong reasons, at least) and was actually so fucking smart and well written. I cannot wait to see how this develops the rest of the season and beyond

I think it helps that Striker’s story and character revolves around the hierarchy plot line which the show has constantly been building since episode one. So it makes it easier to make things about Striker because that is a core part of his story and his place in the show’s narrative. They also keep echoing his words and his points so alskdkelekddk what are we supposed to do?? Not acknowledge Striker and how he lowkey haunts the narrative and Blitz’s psyche????

but when the second time they left revachol was not jean’s fault, and it was judit’s suggestion anyway. the squad probably thought that since harry had someone a little more responsible looking after him. it will be fine when they come back. the tribunal was absolutely unaccounted for.

yet despite all of these things, he will try to come back to make sure he is ok and accommodate harrier to the best of his abilities which is wearing very thin. look at him trying to make up to our harry boy:

BIG QUESTION:

Why couldnt they have had Andreaphulus as Stolas’s arranged marrige instead of having Stella as the main villain of Helluva Boss? 

He’d be much more of a threat, a cooler design, and in general would be much cooler (get it?) of a villain than just a random nagging woman with a phone that Stolas could kill in an instant. (and his brother if he tried hard enough.)

Stella’s just... generic?

She doesnt do much. She just leaches off of Stolas and yells.

How boring is that? In a world of fantasy cretures and super powers, they just choose a wine aunt to be the main villain of this “demon fantasy show” instead.

I dont care about her screaming at her husband. I dont care about her melodrama. Or any of the melodrama of late season one and season two. 

She’s boring, predictable, and a overall unpleasant and annoying antagonist with no likeable qualities. She’s just a plot tool for Stolitz fans to cry about. She doesnt have anything of value to her, and could have been cut out of the show entirely and it would be 30% better than what we ended up getting.

You’re allowed to have villains be evil and still be enjoyable characters.

Hell! You’re allowed to have a character be rootable and flawed! You dont need for them to be absulotely awful (*cough!* Stolas *cough!* Loona) to be a nuanced character. If Vivziepop wasnt so hyperfocused on demonizing the female characters who dislike the male ones and actually made them well- their characters! Instead of just plot devices to be angry at the male characters 24/7 and instead- being their own person with goals, likes, dislikes, etc rather than for their character to just be “bitch!” and that being about it. “BUT MALE PEOPLE CANT GIVE BIRTH!” And???? This is a fantasy story with demons. It doesnt need to have human-like sexual dymorphism. Hell, you can have Andrephulus be trans-sexual if you want them to have human anatomy. The “arranged marrige for an heir” plot still could have worked (even better!) with a character with an actual ability that matches/competes with Stolas. Instead of a random lady that despite the show acting as if Stolas was helpless and “couldnt” defeat her- he’s shown to have been able to get around her in a few minutes and could have divorced her at any time. Its not like his father needs her anymore (they had a kid already) so she could have been kicked out- right after Via was born!

Stella’s that much of a useless character. She doesnt do anything but sit around and laugh at Stolas all day, or scream on the phone. Its been multiple episodes, thats clearly enough time to show your villain as a actual threat. So why not have had a character like Andreaphulus be the villain instead?

it’s kind of a combination of different canons? it’s basically like. the potential tasm parksborn had plus mcu irondad but it’s peppermay and rhodeytony as queer parental figures plus peter finding a kitten on patrol and that kitten becoming their (first) child

A year and a half later, Penny ruins Harry’s plans when she finds the ring in the closet and trots on out to the living room with it in her mouth, not a care in the world. Peter is putting on a movie and Harry is tapping away at his phone screen when she settles on the carpet, dropping the ring to paw at it playfully, and only when she meows at it do they both look over.

Harry sucks in a sharp breath when he sees what she has. Peter’s just confused, head tilting to the side, brows bunching together and voice lilted as he asks, “Is that a ring?”

“Uh—” Harry’s voice cracks. He clears his throat. It doesn’t help much. “Looks like it.”

It’s an idiotic situation and they’re both stupid, Harry too busy panicking and Peter’s mind connecting the dots rapidly, and by the time they realize what’s going to happen, when she leans down to bite at it, there’s not enough time for them to jump up and stop her. In seconds, the ring is in her mouth, and then it’s gone.

She swallowed the fucking thing.

In the aftermath, there’s silence, before Peter weakly asks, “Was that an engagement ring?”

“Oh my god,” Harry whispers. “Oh my fucking god.”

the long-cancelled GBA prototype game developed by Halfbrick in 2003 called "Fuzz & Rocket" was released and put onto the Internet Archive recently!!!

(and here's the tweet that brought this to my attention!!)

according to this archive, it's a build from January of 2005, a few months before its very last appearance at E3 2005. the amount of cool lost media that's getting found recently is insane and Fuzz & Rocket getting found certainly wasn't on my bingo card for 2024! very cool!!
