Physical touch was how you showed love. The only problem was that you were overly touchy. You were always hugging, cuddling, and holding onto whoever you loved. You ended up loving one of the ghoul friends you made, and now you’re being extra clingy.

When you became close with Luca, you automatically attached yourself onto him. You'd hug him when you got the chance, and lean on him if he was sitting down.

He tolerated it at first. After all, it made you happy, and he did love the affection.

It did become troublesome when all you wanted to do was touch him.

Eventually, Luca would confront you about it. When you told him it was how you show affection, he would understand but set some boundaries with you. 

He'd apologize after the conversation for being a bit harsh with you. He also gave you a kiss on the forehead. 

Sho didn’t mind your touchyness at first, In fact he kinda liked it.

When it started to affect the things that he was doing was when it started to bother him.

He'd ask you to tone down the affection a bit, and that it had been affecting the stuff he needed to do.

He knows that your very touchy and he's not going to take that away from you.

He’d grin and give you a kiss on the head. Then you'd spend the rest of the night cuddling. 

Subaru is extremely scared every time you get close. He knows how much you want to show your love to him, but he's scared of using his stigma.

There were plenty of times where he'd see your memories because you hugged him. He hates his stigma, he wants to hug you without seeing your thoughts

He'd feel bad whenever he sees one of your memories and he’d start telling some of his.

You shut him up and explained that you didn’t really care about what he'd see in your mind.

When you two finished going over what boundaries you wanted, Subaru would give you a hug.

Haku, like Luca and Sho, wouldn't mind your affection. In fact, he would soak up any touch of yours like a sponge. 

You two don’t get to see each other as much due to Haku’s position. Which would lead to so many sleepy cuddles. 

He would be slightly annoyed whenever your hugs stop him from doing his duties. 

He’d just tell you how he's feeling, letting you know that now wasn’t the time. He'd also be clear about any boundaries he'd have. 

After his work, he would cuddle you a lot.

I think it's time that redacted tumblr learns about one of my most insane headcanons

It's regarding vampires, and it kinda has huge implications on the universe, and yet there's no evidence thus far that would disprove it

CW for mild body horror, killing, and fantasy drug use. I really want to go fully indepth here because as of right now I haven't collected all of this information into one place ever. The content warnings make it sound far worse than it actually is, but it can be a lot and I would rather play it safe than sorry, so keep reading at your own discretion.

So I'll start with a little bit of backstory about where this headcanon came from. If you look at the tags, you'll notice that I've listed some very specific characters. Aside from Sam and William, what they all have in common is the fact that they've acted in really strange, often destructive ways. What I find interesting is the ways they've acted are eerily similar to each other. Am I picking at straws to make connections here? Am I matpat from game theory? Possibly, but I love this headcanon way too much.

The things that each of them did were all violent, impulsive, and obsessive. Adam and Quinn are pretty obvious in that regard, but Alexis chose to turn Sam on an impulse, completely disregarding his protests, and Sam does describe the situation rather violently (she literally dug her nails in to snap his eyes open to trance him, etc. etc.).

What I believe is that the similarities aren't a mere coincidence, but are a result of a magical "parasite" that attaches to, and directly attacks the magical core of a person. It spreads through blood, making vampires incredibly susceptible because of their weaker magical cores. Additionally, it has a chance of being dormant, so a maker could pass it to their progeny without knowing it. Once it's been passed on though, it's passed on. Any damage done to the person's magical core still remains though. And because a person's magical core is linked to their emotions, it causes long term psychological harm.

So, William would've had a dormant form of the parasite, which then got passed down to Alexis. It would have a weaker effect on her, partially because it was dormant, and William is old blood, but it would still have enough of an effect on her that she would have outbursts. Then, she would pass it to Sam in 2008, where it mostly appears dormant, but he does legitimately show some signs of being a little bit impulsive and obsessive in canon (I'm not crazy I swear, also yes the year is relevant, you'll find out if you read this whole thing).

That's really the extent of the canon stuff though, so from this point on, I'm delving into OC stuff that I've created around this headcanon.

The parasite was first discovered in 1523, in Vesper, a "state" located in the southwest of England. Vesper is basically the vampire capital at this time, so it's not really all that surprising that there would eventually be disease breaking out. William would've fled to Vesper after being turned in 1519, which is how he would've gotten the parasite. (Just for clarity, the parasite can affect any empowered person, vampires are just the most likely to have it, and also outwardly express it. Non-vampires are far more likely to have a dormant form if it latches to them at all, which is part of why it's so dangerous, since vampires have to feed, but they have no way of knowing if the person they're feeding on is infected or not.)

The whole of Vesper is ruled by a monarch, and it this time, that monarch was the young vampire Vyvian Achlys, who was turned by the previous king in 1501, and then became ruler after that king died from "mysterious circumstances" (if it isn't obvious, Vyvian killed the king).

So, Vyvian was left on his own to figure out a way to deal with the outbreak, and because it wasn't like any other disease, which led him to the conclusion that the only way to deal with it would be to kill those who showed symptoms of being infected. Even after that, it took two years to find someone who was willing to actually do this, because most people considered it to be a death wish to even attempt, and they would just stay isolated and hope the problem would take care of itself.

But after two years (1525), an empowered human, Scarle Rosina was sent by her family, because they needed money and food, and were willing to essentially use her as a sacrifice. Around this same time, William had also left the home where he was staying, as the others living there were showing symptoms. He actually asked if there was other ways that he could help the cause, so he wasn't on the "frontlines", but he was living in cohorts with Scarle.

Scarle's efforts were strong, but two years of her trying to execute those infected, to little relief, proved that her being human meant she wasn't really powerful enough. So she agreed to be turned by Vyvian. She took to her new abilities very well, and by 1530, the parasite, while still being around, was not an immediate threat anymore.

Over time, Vyvian took quite a liking to Scarle, and with Vesper once again prospering, in the 1600s he was able to employ demon forces, which meant that Scarle didn't have to be diligently fighting all the time. She starts helping William with the efforts behind the scenes, doing research and such. The two of them discover that a possible origin for the parasite was a magical plant resembling a mushroom that began growing after the cacophony due to the 'explosion' of magic that occurred. It was a white mushroom, and its main distinguishing factor was the crystal structure underneath its cap, which resembles the crystal structure arcana takes if it's not given any other form to exist in (this is another headcanon of mine, mostly regarding d(a)emons, if you were to break off one of their horns, or somehow rip one of their bones out, it would resemble a geode). People would often take this mushroom and use the crystals to basically get high, because it would affect their magical core, and therefore, their emotions. However, it could easily cause adverse effects if a person didn't take extra care when preparing it. Any part of the mushroom other than the crystals was "alive" with lingering magic, and different magic users had different reactions to the different types of crystals that the plant had, so if you couldn't tell the crystals apart, there was a level of danger there as well.

Further research spanning into the 1800s, after William had left for America, proved that the source of the parasite was definitely the plant, though it wouldn't actually be banned until 1932, where it was uprooted from most of the world, and was only allowed to be grown in Vesper.

Vyvian stepped down from his role as king in 1940, giving the crown to Scarle.

Following WWII, Vesper makes an agreement with the European department in 1948 to become an isolated state in order to further curb the parasite from spreading further as they begin to have less and less control over places outside of their borders. Scarle is the official head of state, and they get imports from (mainly) England, with promises to provide new technology as it's created so that Vesper will be able to stay on track with the current society for when they reopen their borders. Knowledge of the parasite is kept hidden to avoid panic.

In 2001, it's discovered that the roots of the mushroom can be synthesized to make a "cure" that kills the parasite. The first person to be cured is a 3 year old named Cecilia, who was a freelancer born with the parasite, and given up to Scarle and Vyvian to "deal with".

By 2011, the cure is able to be distributed by departments worldwide, and the murican' department decides to distribute it through blood bags, which ends up making a lot of vampires mysteriously sick, because those who didn't have the parasite had adverse reactions to the cure. Additionally, any vampires who were infected were likely hiding in the shadows, and not taking blood bags from the department. The only good part about it was that those who didn't have the parasite were now immune from it, so can't spread to most clan vampires.

The parasite is slowly dying out on its own because of that, if someone's acting crazy they're probably going to get found by the department, or someone else, and get killed, or they can get cured if they're showing signs and get reported.

alright this post is long enough, I will end my yapping here, if you actually made it to the end, I commend you because this took me a good couple hours to write, but I will probably elaborate on other things like this about the extended universe I've basically created, so I made the tag "ashkhols redacted universe" that I'll put on these posts for y'alls reading pleasure

NOW INTRODUCING.... THE CRITTERS !!!

Technically Corvid is still a part of an au, i really like everyone's designs so i guess its just like a weird little au that are also kinda ocs?? Idk. Im still tagging it as the animatronicfication au and using the other ccs names but im completely separating wilbur from Corvid.

The one that probably changed the most is simp LMAO i just went back to his old design that was inspired by Luna (@starrixle's transfem simpbur turned oc) and Spencer is such a fitting name in my mind i literally can not imagine him with a different name *bwomp*

Also I'm working on refs for the other characters associated with the respective critters! I wanna finish them all and dump them into one post and I'll link it here when I'm done.

ANYWAY INFODUMP TIME

Before we go into individual characters i want to say that this is absolutely Minecraft. Like. The world is built off of Minecraft lore yk !!!! The overworld will still be called the overworld but it's basically just earth, with more magic and humanoid species! Along with supernatural creatures and cryptids n stuff :D also with more advanced tech considering Corvid exists pFF

Spencer for the most part kinda was like he is in canon or whatever. She used to lean more towards incel ideology because she was REALLY insecure and uncomfortable with herself for the longest time. Despite that, Spencer and Adrianne (egirl) started dating when they were 17, his unhealthy obsession with her was only fueled by her unhealthy attachment to him. They needed each other and it wasn't good for either of them. Spencer had developed horrible separation anxiety which only made things worse. Over time Adrianne became suffocated by his constant neediness, overwhelming insecurity, short temper and lack of contribution to household chores. It pained her to leave, but things needed to change. It wasn't until the breakup that Spencer met Shepard, who was his first irl friend in a long time. They met when they were around 22/23, at first Spencer just used Shepard as a distraction from Adrianne, especially since he was surprised that they wanted to even be his friend in the first place. But after a while he genuinely started to enjoy their company, plus they offered him really good advice and helped him through a gender/sexuality crisis. Eventually they became partners! Maybe not romantically, as they're both aromantic, but life partners nonetheless.

OH and i did make Spencer white/Salvadoran. Her mom is the first generation from immigrant parents while her dad is British; And her dad's younger brother is Adam's dad! He's also an ex-christian, he left due to religious trauma and moved to America to escape his family hA

Spencer's also a no sabo kid LMAO (he knows some words/phrases but other than that he cant speak Spanish to save his life)

ALSO ALSO. Oh my god i could talk about Spence all day LMAO but i made him a werewolf !!!! Hes SOO jealous of Adam because she wanted the cat genes but instead got bitten and turned into a werewolf as a teenager. She's done a pretty good job at hiding it from her family so Shepard's the only one who knows.

I already dumped everything about Adam into that other post, so I don't really have much else to add. HOWEVER !! Him and Spence are cousins now :3 Adam doesn't get to meet Spencer in person until he moves to America with Charlie & co, but he does follow her socials with his secret accounts that his parents don't know about. The only reason they know they're cousins is because Spencer's dad told her so and she reached out! Much to the dismay of Adam's parents but they've secretly kept in touch online.

Keith's pretty much stayed the same apart from a slight design revamp. Although I've made him a little older since originally i made him look young. But then I decided hes a dad so i started drawing him older for the asks pFF he also has a hooked nose now! In case it's not obvious. Keith got married to Jean VERY young, they were maybe 17/18 in human years. It was an arranged marriage and their only goal was to have an heir to the throne. Well they did, they had two kids, the eldest being a boy named Lune and the youngest being a girl named Sunny, who's the would be heir. Until Jean took both the kids and left. It was completely unprompted and left everyone in the kingdom confused, especially Keith. Sure, they had a loveless marriage and maybe he was insufferable at times, but he wanted to make it work if not for the kids then for the kingdom! But its been almost a year since she left, he's lost hope in ever finding her. Keith desperately wants his kids back, not because Sunny is the rightful heir— though that is part of it—but he loves them both dearly. He misses them the most.

Wilfred has pretty much stayed the same as well! I did give him a grey tshirt and darker hair to further distance his design from wilbur though. Hes just as unhinged and immoral as he used to be !!!! Nothing has changed aside from appearance actually.

Tobi also pretty much stayed the same except for its now got an orange jumper and lighter brown hair pFF although i do now have a story for him! Tobi was found by Alejandro in a storage auction, he managed to sell a lot of pretty valuable things from there but Tobi stood out, obviously, so he kept it. Alejandro is a travel vlogger and lives in an RV with his friends: Tomas, Philip and Charles. His friends just call him Alex. Anyway, they go from town to town trying local food, visiting tourists traps and vlogging the journey! While doing that they also try to find out how to get Tobi's memories back and possibly turn him human again, if they even can. So far they haven't had much luck but maybe one day...

Corvid was created as the backup singer and lead guitarist of the first all animatronic band! Brought to you by Beloved Entertainment! The other members include lead singer Ranboo Beloved, keytarist Tommy Raccoon, and bassist James Tomcat. Located in Ranboo's Mega Pizzaplex, the only location in the world (so far). Corvid adopts a showman personality while on stage, hes charismatic and such a heartthrob, very popular with the ladies. Off stage he's very calm and soft spoken, he's rather shy but still manages to be a flirt and a tease. Lightly poking fun at his bandmates, coworkers and even guests at times. He's definitely a fan favorite for a reason!

What was zhao's character designing process like?

Hello! Thanks for asking, I'll try to keep this as simple as humanly possible-

-the beginning stages of Zhao's character

(Ignore the bad quality of the pictures, I was lazy-)

I've actually had Zhao for quite a few years now, but I think these drawings I made like 9 months ago are the oldest ones that I could find. As you can probably see, in the begging she was a primarily jttw OC, I remember being super into OSP (which I still am), so when I started watching their jttw series I immediately got to making an OC because I really liked the world and all.

There's not much to say about the design honestly. But I will say why the hair changed, back then, her hair was very tiger-y but why has it changed so much if she's still a tiger? Well it's because back then I actually really liked the hair, but as time went on I thought it was way too much. However I really got attached to the whole "Cursed for disobeying your family so that you can never forget about them when you look at your own face.", so I decided to keep the orange hair just remove the details.

However a lot of the drawings you will see still have the stripes, but you'll see how they became more and more simple over time.

(note: All of the drawings you will see of her old design are pretty old so my art skills have improved-)

When I just started watching lmk I already knew I wanted to change up her character a bit. So I did a mini re-design. Again not much to say about her design except that I wanted it to look very demon-y (because she actually used to be a tiger demoness)

However I felt she was too "soft", so I changed up her character a bit to be more cold and "mature", because I wanted her to have a bigger contrast in personality with Sun Wukong. I'll get into that later :>

And as you can see I was still experimenting with certain designs but in the end I ended up with the last one for a while.

Then something awoke in me and I was finally like: This hair is mad complicated let's simplify this sucker-

And this design stuck for a while until I made a certain drawing for a certain @/camhues 👀

At this time I have started reading Circe and was very inspired by her character :0

She changed from being cold to more motherly. She's still mature but more clever, compassionate and caring. (yet still pathetic in my eyes). One of my friends here on tumblr @/doppel-doodles explained her PERFECTLY- "A fierce tigress in the body of a gentle mother cat" (like who gave them the right-), this explains her character very well because despite being very peaceful she's still a strong sorceress-

Now, Zhao is still kinda quiet and reserved considering her unhealthy past. But that ties a bit more into her connection with Wukong, which I'll get into in a bit.

I wanted Zhao to seem more "out of place", back then she just seemed like a basic bish girlboss OC and like someone who would make a good background character-

I also decided to give her a full name (because my dumb ahh realized Zhao is a Chinese SURNAME-) so I decided on Zhaoyan, also funfact Zhao's father used to call her "Zhaodi" because that name means "requesting a brother" (Because sexism yaaayyyyyy-)

My Zhao design is also heavily inspired by @/gigizetz Circe design, and her hair is very much inspired by Rapunzel from tangled-

And so yeah, then we got to her current design

While I can't really give anymore specific references, I can tell you a bit on how I settled on this design :D

Note: I wanted her to have a more exotic, tropical and ancient vibe if that makes sense. She is a spiritual maiden, sometimes even described as a sorceress, and considering the role I settled on giving her in the story it makes sense she would seem like "something new" or something out of the blue if you will. Even though she's a Peach Maiden, she doesn't exactly look like one, which I honestly think is really exiting to work with-

There's still some lore I haven't spilled yet that would say more about her design, but I hope to reveal that in the future!

Now, all the lore of her current character ties to one specific thing, aka her most important role in lmk- her connection to Monkey. Now as I mentioned, Zhao and Wukong were made to be opposites, or well to seem like opposites (one is chaotic and one is calm). Also the mear fact that the Chinese monkey zodiac and Chinese tiger zodiac are specifically referred to as not being able to get along so well.

But in reality they're quite similar, both get over looked because of their unthreatening personalities despite being really damn powerful. Both kinda stand out in physical appearance too compared to the other characters, and look alike in a way (same ginger hair and golden eyes). And not to mention they both push others away from them because of their pasts despite caring a lot.

A fun part about writing Zhao's character is she also serves as a way to find out more about Sun Wukong and jttw as a whole while still being her own character.

So yeah, that's basically it! Sorry for this being so fricking long I like rambling about my girl- (no I do not have a favorite lmk OC wdym?)

When he first met you he was definitely real fucking confused.

I doubt with all the lore that’s happened In Teyvat, vampires were not one of the major folklores.

Only reason he knows what you are is because of a story he probably heard when he was still known as kabukimono-

Obviously, all of the harbingers were a little weary considering, well — they like their blood.

Luckily for our baby skrunkly blue berry bitch boy, Scara. He’s a puppet!

Which means you got shoved into his care without hesitation from the others.

The first week was spent with Scara showing you ropes along with you finding multiple ways to piss him off.

He was definitely more than a little grossed out when he found out what you did.

He thinks humans and food in general is pretty ew, so when he found out you drank blood-

Let’s just say he was happy he’s never had to see that.

He’d definitely get attached considering you could happily spend time around him without the urge to suck on his neck (for blood at least cOUGH)

He’d never admit it though, of course.

For some reason he ended up getting kinda curious so he probably threw a subordinate who annoyed him too much at you once or twice.

You eventually became a very useful threat for him to use.

He also became somewhat protective of you against the other harbingers who would shame you or insult you behind (and to) your face.

I doubt he’d form any romantic feelings-

I know, I know. I’m sorry!

I just feel like he’s see you more as a sibling that he takes under his wing.

He would absolutely have a very fancy “cage” in his office or wherever he resides the most for you to take a nap in if you were in your bag form that he has not and will not elaborate on why he decided to get it.

You’re also great company for him at night since he doesn’t sleep!

Lucifer

You both acted a lot alike: level-headed, almost emotionless, strong-willed, independent, exceedingly intelligent, and sarcastic every once in a while. He knew a lot about you considering he was one of the ones who examined your student profile, and that made you a bit unsettled because you knew next to nothing about him.

He knew of your heroic streak and your avenging nature, and he admired it. He used to be that way, especially for his family. As we all know, he was one of the angels who fought for his sister because he thought God judged her unfairly.

After spending a while in the Devildom, but more specifically within the House of Lamentation, the two of you grew closer. Lucifer genuinely liked having conversations with you, spending hours sipping on glasses of demonus just reveling in your company.

Eventually, those short drinking sessions ended up in you telling him about your time in the Red Room, being trained to be the best and most dangerous operative. He’s quite impressed with your skillset, but he is a big angry that you were put through that pain and suffering.

Speaking of being impressed by your abilities, he’s glad that you are able to defend yourself. Unfortunately, he is still worried about you, so he insists upon walking with you everywhere (also so none of his brothers steal you away from him).

Mammon

He was most definitely intimidated by you because you acted just like Lucifer did. However, he got to see your more sarcastic side, and now you target him a lot… especially when he’s been particularly stupid. He liked it when you targeted others, just not him.

Mammon got a glimpse of your heroic side whenever Lucifer went to string him up from the chandelier using the WiFi cable. You argued in his place, stating that like everyone else he couldn’t control his sin. Therefore, everyone should be punished if they indulged in their sin.

Honestly, you became his favorite person because you always defended him. You both spent a lot of time together because he grew attached. He tried to disguise it as ‘making sure you were safe’, but you were fairly certain that cuddling in his bed wasn’t exactly protecting you.

During one of these cuddling sessions, you told him how you went through the Red Room when you were younger just to be trained to be the best operative out there and how you were a danger to a lot of people. He was angry, but he just held you close, hands shaking in rage.

You decided to maintain your abilities by going to training, and Mammon sometimes took you because he didn’t want you getting abducted on the street. He saw you absolutely beat the shit out of your trainer, and he spat out his drink in surprise. How in the actual f- could you do that??

Leviathan

You reminded him of one of the main characters in the comic book series that was popular within the Devildom, and you intimidated him like that character did. However, it’s not like how Mammon feels. Levi just thinks you’re so freaking cool that he can’t help but feel scared.

You even acted like her, and that solidified his admiration for you and the character. You were brave, heroic, level-headed, everything he aspired to be. Whenever he looked at you, he had both stars and hearts in his eyes, and you had to admit that it was absolutely adorable.

Mans basically worshiped the ground you walked on. He would set his jacket down just so you wouldn’t have to get your shoes filthy. He is a simp. However, this does make you a bit unsettled because you are used to being attacked constantly rather than worshiped.

Levi loved hanging out with you in his room because you always had interesting stories about your life. However, this time was different because you decided that you’ve gotten to a point in your relationship where you could tell him about the Red Room. As you told him, he gripped his controller so hard that it snapped in half.

His tail whipped out and wrapped itself around your waist, pulling you closer as he held onto you. Sure, your skills and abilities because of the severe training you went through were cool, but it all came at what cost? Even he, as the general of Hell’s Navy, wouldn’t put soldiers through that.

Satan

You acted like him as well, especially with the sarcasm directed towards everyone else, and he doesn’t mind if it’s targeted at him as long as you’re the only one. He finds it amusing since no human besides you and Solomon has had the courage to have a witty battle against him.

He experienced your heroic side when a random demon compared him to Lucifer, and you defended him saying that the two are completely different from each other. He appreciated the sentiment, and the fact that his beloved was so willing to fight for his honor.

I think the two of you always have long conversations about anything that comes to mind. It allows the both of you to learn more about each other, which establishes a closer connection in addition to solidifying the relationship you both already have. 

It was during one of these conversations that you told him about the Red Room. He was shocked that you had to suffer that training, in addition to being beyond angry. You had to hold his hand in yours to bring him back to the present and prevent him from destroying the room.

Sure, your skillset was very impressive, but you had to go through genuine torture just to get those abilities. The Wrath within him is for once righteous and avenging, and he could feel it surging through his body. However, he would hold back for your sake.

Asmodeus

You were very interesting because you were also a bit flirtatious, but also very level-headed when need be. He loved your quick comebacks as they were hilarious to him. Especially if they were directed at either of his two oldest brothers.

He got to see your heroic side when Mammon stole something of Asmo’s to sell, and you used your spy skills to quietly enter the former’s room, steal back the item, and return it to Asmo. The older brother was angry, but backed off once you threatened him with telling Lucifer about what he had done.

The two of you enjoy talking to each other while doing skincare. Be it gossip, an article you read in the news, a post either of you saw on Devilgram, etc. he loved talking to you. You listened and you contributed actually good input and opinions.

One of these little sessions between the two of you led to you telling him about the Red Room, and he was angry that you had to go through that. He held you in his arms as you recounted the traumatic events that happened in your life.

Asmo considered gathering his brothers to go attack the Red Room, but decided against it as it would go against Diavolo’s wishes for a union between the three realms. After all, who would be there for you when you went through flashbacks if he was locked away due to going against His Highness?

Beelzebub

You reminded him of Lucifer, aside from your more flirtatious side. Many times, he spit out the food that he was eating out of pure shock whenever you said something sarcastic towards any of them because he thought that they were way more powerful than you.

As for your heroic side, he saw it when you defended him after he emptied the fridge. You told everyone that he couldn’t control his sin just as either of them couldn’t either, and therefore he shouldn’t be scolded due to the hypocrisy going on.

The two of you loved cuddling sessions once you got more comfortable around him, since they allowed just a bit more closeness between the two of you. You talked about pretty much anything there was to talk about, which led to one fateful day.

It was one of those days where you both were just laying in his bed, talking about what his life was like when he was a young angel playing with Belphie and Lilith, when he asked about your childhood. You let out a deep sigh before telling him about the Red Room and the training you went through in there.

Oh, he was madder than a bull is at a bullfighter. You felt his hold around your waist tighten, but he was careful enough not to hurt you. How could those evil people harm someone as great as you? He couldn’t begin to comprehend the anger that was bubbling up within him. Is this how Satan always felt?

Belphegor

He didn’t like you at first, until you brought out your sarcasm. That was probably when he fell in love: Lucifer was scolding one of his brothers for indulging in their sin when you told him off for indulging in his constantly without punishment as a consequence.

Mans was just about on his knee with a ring, and he hadn’t even known you that long. Ever since then, he was in love (which was a bit out of character for him, but you weren’t afraid to say what you said to Lucifer, the eldest and most powerful of the Avatars).

You both also loved cuddling sessions, but he was able to see your past through your dream. You were having a flashback in your nightmare, and he could sense you moving around and being restless. So, he used his power to see your dream, and what he saw made him angry.

You shouldn’t have had to go through that unwillingly just to become the best agent. Didn’t they know that you were human? Plus, the graduation process seemed absolutely heartbreaking. He was angry, but he knew you would need a good night’s rest, so he used his powers to put you into a more peaceful sleep.

Oh, but he didn’t forget. No, this just reinforced his original thoughts about humanity and their flaws. However, you were an exception. He thought you belonged with the angels; you certainly sacrificed enough to get to the Celestial Realm.

Diavolo

You were his opposite. He was friendly and compassionate (unless the situation called for a serious attitude), and you were always level-headed and cold (but also sarcastic). But, as we all are aware, opposites attract. You were his anchor, and he was your freedom.

He first witnessed your heroic side when you helped him with his paperwork. You read it over and it was a proposal that would benefit the Devildom financially, but it would make budget cuts on the education system. You pointed it out to Diavolo, and he was shocked that someone would worry about money rather than the children being affected. 

Diavolo loved spending time with you, not doing paperwork. He especially loved having tea time with you since it allows him to get to know you more. He already knew about your training from a place called the Red Room, so he thought about asking you about it. The shocked look on your face made him regret asking, but you insisted it was fine.

You told him about the exact training you went through and how it allowed you to be the agent that you are today. You even went as far as telling him about the… unique graduation process. He was devastated, he was angry, he couldn’t even figure out how he was feeling.

What he did know was that he was gonna get that place shut down if it’s the last thing he ever does in his very long life. It didn’t take too much either, considering he was very powerful even in the human world. A few threats and using his demon form to intimidate them was enough, since not even the recruits could come close to beating him.

Barbatos

You both acted pretty much the same, except he was a tad more cordial rather than sarcastic and witty. Although, lighthearted banter wasn’t uncommon between the two of you. It was how you expressed your love for him at the beginning.

As you got more comfortable within the Devildom, you got more comfortable with Barbatos. You were his ‘hero’ because you often helped him with his many chores. It wasn’t much, but it did take a bit of the load off of his shoulders.

Now, this was how you both typically spent time with each other. You would do chores within the same room so that the two of you can still talk to each other. You learned that Barbatos had been the servant of Diavolo since the latter was a child, and that was adorable to you.

When he asked about your past, you stopped wiping the counter. The butler apologized for overstepping any boundaries, but you said it was fine. So, you explained what you had gone through in the Red Room. Barbatos had to stop himself from breaking one of the plates he was drying because he was angry.

He was angry that his beloved Y/N had to suffer through that just so you could be used as a top-tier spy. He later told Diavolo about it, and the next day the facility was shut down for unknown reasons. You figured out that your lovely demon had something to do with it, but you didn’t mind since it meant that no one else had to suffer the way that you did.

RANTETHING TIME, WORMS (pt.3 Beetlejuice the series)

This is gonna be more of a mini-rant, or at least just not as long as my last rant. I just really wanna talk about Snugglejuice. She terrifies me, genuinely freaks me out- but I still like them. In my honest opinion I don't really think they deserve the hate that they get. If you think about it, she's gotta be as scared as the actual Beetlejuice that we know and love. He hates the idea of manners, cleanliness, and basically anything involving decency- but Snugglejuice has a problem I find to be worse than that. Beetlejuice understands the fact the Jack-In-The-Box is basically a torture chamber and all of Neither-Neitherland SUCKS. While I might be wrong on this, since BJs whole multiple different personality thing kinda confuses me in the show [plus a wiki I use lists the alternate versions of Beetlejuice as just different personalities and not really disguises or separate beings], I don't know if he remembers or not.. I like to believe he'd at least remember being locked up in the Jack-In-The-Box, before things eventually just became a blur. But Snugglejuice doesn't remember anything- they recognize the people around them, what those people mean to them but majority of their thoughts are blurred with 'sugar, spice, and everything nice'. There's not a thing out there that could convince me to believe Snugglejuice views their cutesy ways as normal, not entirely normal at least.. I imagine them kinda just having a subconscious feeling that something is- odd, to say the least, about it all- but they don't speak out about it because she was manipulated into thinking that the way she is is the right way to be, and that she could trust Little Miss Warden. It's a forced smile they have, if they don't think about it or question it, maybe it'll stop bothering them. Despite both personalities [Beetlejuice and Snugglejuice] clashing, I feel like they both see something in common. They don't really get what happened that day, and they don't like it. It scares them. I get that Snugglejuice was just a one episode thing, but I feel like she's still there, along with every other personality BJ plays. Now how she's doing in the gross mind of his, who knows, but I just kinda feel like Snugglejuice deserves better.

All this dumb serious-ish ranting aside [dear god I'm probably gonna find so many spelling errors in this later], is there such a thing as a Neitherworld therapist? Don't get me wrong, I still got a few episodes of the show left to watch, and also its just supposed to be a silly cartoon but like- theres something wrong with Beetlejuice. That is not a ghostly menace to society, that is a feral dog with attachment issues, and canonically- trauma- a very fat chunk of trauma- Really, there's two perfectly hatable characters in that episode, and ya'll fr chose Snugglejuice to shit on- I need hate posts about Germs, fuck that guy.

I saw this ask when you originally sent it, anon, but the reason it's taken me so long to respond is because I was rushing to get this done:

A brand new, shiny reference for my boy! Wings colored and everything, finally!! I wanted to reveal this while simultaneously answering your ask, causeee I have a lot to say about this goober.

First off, I'll start with backstory. Achlys was a character I created for a roleplay with a friend of mine, and he hasssss... spiraled. I love him so much, he's my precious little bean.

He was created in a lab by a scientist named Xander, who was obsessed with creating human hybrids and monstrosities in attempts to create the perfect soldiers. All of his attempts in the past had proven to be too unstable and unfit for actual battle. At some point, Xander came to the conclusion that it was because he was adding DNA to human beings who had already existed. His new priority became to gather the DNA of an individual and use it to make a clone that he would then mix with the DNA. Achlys was the first product of this experimental process (at least the first to not die immediately after being "born"). Xander started with something as simple as the DNA of a butterfly, just to see what it would be like if such an experiment succeeded. What Xander did not expect was to become emotionally attached to the kid. He raised him for a few years, and he eventually because like a father to him. After an altercation with his nefarious works that nearly cost him Achlys' life, he gave up his dangerous and illegal practices, faked his death so the authorities wouldn't be after him, and started a new life with his child.

Achlys grew up within a morally gray household. Although Xander taught him morals to prevent him from getting on the bad side of the law – both because he didn't want Achlys to grow up to be like him (huzzah, character development!) and because trouble with the law meant Achlys being discovered and likely hauled away/killed – that didn't stop Achlys from becoming a bit of a troublemaker. He's loud-mouthed, manipulative at times, and generally kinda self-centered. Achlys definitely isn't afraid to tell minor fibs to get what he wants, and he can and will pull out the good ol' puppy dog eyes on his poor old papá to get him to cave. Xander is somewhat immune to it by the time Achlys hits his mid teenage years. But not completely. Despite his iffy morals though, he's generally a good kid. All of his stuff adds up to petty actions only. If he ever actually got pushed to do anything truly evil, he'd just kinda stand there and likely have a panic attack. Ironically enough, Achlys is easily manipulated. All it takes is flattery and the promise of something sweet and he'll be eating out of the palm of your hand. That's only for first time interactions, though. If you take that opportunity and use it to wrong him, hoof... Once Achlys trust is broken, it is ridiculously hard to earn it back. ANOTHER IMPORTANT DETAIL!!! He is such a dummy. Like. My gosh, somebody help this child... He can't do basic math for the life of him, and not from lack of Xander trying to teach him. Achlys just refuses to pay attention to anything that doesn't interest him unless it's what he deems as super important. And... schooling was not one of those things. He did enough to get by and then it went right out his other ear. Bro can count, but like– If you asked him what 12 x 9 was he'd just sit there and stare at you blankly. The only subject in school he took an interest to was science – it made him feel connected with Xander, cause that's his father's passion. Does he understand a lick of what's being said to him? Not really, no. But does he actually try to listen and learn for once so he can assist him in the "completely safe" experiments he conducts? Of course! On that note, Achlys thinks the world of Xander. His father's opinion is really the only one he cares about. Achlys can get berated by a horde of angry Karens and not give two shakes of a rat's tail; however, the moment Xander does so much as raises his voice at him, he shrinks and turns into a puddle of tears. Never in front of Xander. He holds his ground until he's alone in his room. Then he curls up underneath his covers (or under the bed, depends on how badly he was lectured) and wallows. There's no greater achievement to Achlys than receiving Xander's praise and approval. Which he does receive often, because Xander adores his little sharp-toothed shark child.

I have much more to say in terms of character arcs I have planned out in my noggin for him as well as anatomy headcanons and thoughts I chew on like fruit gummies. But I will leave it at that for now

You’d better BET! These aren’t really headcanons, more of just an AU. [since I enjoy dystopia and we need more dark AUs fr].

The Robinsons were split into two groups - controlled and sentient.

The Robinsons who were at risk of ‘defying’ Dor-15s orders were kept in the zombie mode we see in the movie.

Some Robinsons were kept sentient with the ‘controlled’ ones being used as blackmail.

’Disobey and I’ll terminate them’ kinda stuff.

That was possible as well - the helping hats physically attached to one’s spinal cord and was capable of instant execution at the click of a button.

I did four characters here, lmk if you want more. (And if so, who?) :

Gaston Framagucci.

Works for Dor-15 the most reluctantly.

Became irritably and almost hyper-aggressive.

Doesnt talk a lot in fear of yelling or sounding too upset.

Keeps the other Robinsons in check.

Has the most weaponry, but despite his aggressive attitude would rather die than hurt his family.

Stays up all night trying to plan ways to get everyone out of this mess.

He uses his cannons as defenses for the house despite the lack of enemies. They definitely don’t shoot meatballs anymore.

He also uses his engineering tech to create his own weapons, as well as sabotage Dor-15s weapons to temporarily inconvenience it.

Wears a large pair of spiked metal gauntlets that give him insane slicing and strength ability, but hinder his ability to work with anything small or intricate.

He hates them, but might be terminated for refusing to wear them.

Art Framagucci.

The most compliant of the Robinsons.

Its unclear why somebody so justice filled would be so willing to work for Dor-15, but as somebody who’s seen wars on other planets, he’s the most aware of the risks of a coop.

Also doesn’t talk. At all. Has voted for pure silence.

Sent to do the most violent tasks of the group, hovering his UFO over industrial areas and making sure everyone is doing their job.

Ordered to terminate those who don’t.

Silently pretends he doesn’t notice younger people who manage to escape.

He spends a lot of time watching the controlled Robinsons, who are just mindlessly set to forever maintain the house.

Hes contemplated removing their hats a thousand times, but after what happened to Tallulah he chooses not to.

Laszlo Robinson.

Laszlo. He’s sure there. Yep.

Laszo doesn’t have a job, but he’s harmless. Objectively.

Tallulah went down fighting and eventually got terminated - one of the only two Robinsons to die.

Laszlo didn’t really object any of Dor-15 orders after that. In fact, he seemed too enthusiastic.

It scared literally everyone, and he was left alone. He spends almost all day and night in his art gallery.

Its unclear though if he’s actually crazy or simply pretending to be so to avoid being put under control.

Paints the most horrific sh!t.

Utilizes his paint gun as a flamethrower by using flammable paints, and attaching a second trigger for a lighter.

Hasn’t killed any humans - torched some frogs though.

Fritz and Petunia.

Fritz is also jobless. He was originally going to be a house slave, but Laszlo silently threatened the house with arson when the recommendation of assigning Fritz a hat came up.

Fritz hasn’t changed at all. He tries to lock himself in his room as much as possible to avoid seeing the house.

Hes a lot more jumpy around everyone. He was never super close to Art, Gaston’s hostility unnerves him, and he’s silently a bit heartbroken seeing Laszlos demeanor.

Petunia is bolted to his hand an cannot be removed.

She isn’t a puppet anymore, instead containing a microchip allowing her her own - limited - sentience.

Shes a thousand times worse to Fritz. She’s only sentient to keep Fritz scared and compliment.

She has claws now, and will scratch Fritz up when slightly upset.

Shes overall very aggressive, but otherwise the same.

Due to her being bolted to Fritz’s arm, when she moves too much it hurts him greatly.

Gaston has considered duct taping her mouth because she is ANNOYING.

THE OBSESSION HAS STRUCK AGAIN SO I REDESIGNED MY KID ICARUS OC

There's a bit of stuff about canon characters if you're interested but be warned this is mainly about my OC(s)

Info about her under the cut!

Aera is an ex servant of Aphrodite that defected during the Trojan War. She was a part of an elite group of Cupids (Basically Aphrodite's Angels? Im workshopping it) before joining Palutena's army, eventually making her way up to an army general. She defected because she fell in love with the Goddess of Light. She stole her bow when she left, and it's actually the Angel's Bow you use in Kid Icarus: Uprising!

Cupids are kinda like angels, but with hollow bones and dove wings, which are weaker. They were also, for the most part, free to do as they please as long as it fell in line with Aphrodite's mission statement of "causing love and problems". Aera argued that her leaving the army to elope with another goddess participating in the Trojan War did both and that she should've gotten a severance package for it.

That's not all- she's also Pit's mom! Kinda. She's not quite.. sure how he got there. She just kinda found him in a fruit basket full of Quince and Figs one day when he was a baby (hence the name Pit!) with a note attached saying it was hers. She didn't really question it since she just thought that's how angels were born. In all actuality it was Aphrodite in an attempt to get her taken off of Palutena's guard. It did not work.

The reason I believe Pit can't fly (at least in my lore) because his wings are dove wings, but his bones aren't hollow and therefore the wings cant support his weight! When a god grants him his flying abilities, they're really just temporarily granting him angel wings instead of his dove wings, and you could hypothetically do the same spell with any human.

Oh yeah in this lore I've created Palutena is Pit's other mom. She is not aware of this. Aphrodite never told her this. Love wins in strange ways. At least Palutena gets to keep Aera's statue-d corpse from Medusa's first invasion to Skyworld all those years ago? Silver linings people.

Facts about Aera that are more about how she affected the world around her than her:

She's the reason Palutena dresses the way she does now and not like she did back in the first game! Once Pit saved Palutena and they made their way back to the temple, Palutena... borrowed some of Aera's clothes. Over the years, it just became her fashion sense! Not like Aera needs them anymore.

She shared a house with her friend named Ivory! During the invasion of Skyworld, Ivory had managed to escape on a cloud, since they were actually one of Hermes's servants who had been negotiating sky travel with Palutena in the messenger god's stead. They had tried to take Pit with them when they fled, as of Aera's request, but they failed. I don't have any NEW art of Ivory, and some of their old art gave them wings, but I do have some old photos of them, which I'll show along-side the other photos! All that matters is that they're still alive!

Pit doesn't actually remember her! I imagine he was a bit young when the invasion happened (4/5) and that he was in the underworld for at least a year until Palutena called for his assistance. I'm allowed to mess with the timeline a little. As a treat. But anyways yeah he doesn't know she was his mom or that she had dove wings, which means he doesn't know HE has dove wings since they look pretty similar and he doesn't really have any other angels to compare them to.

ouattober2023 Day 7: Fav Side Chara

Mulan (ﾉ´ヮ´)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

I think Once Upon A Time has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to great characters everywhere. I may not be a fan of a lot of the way romances got handled, and I have opinions about the untapped potential left and right, but the characters we got to witness are pretty amazing. That's why even when I didn't care about the larger plot, I always had fun with this show. So many cool characters. But making me pick one who left an impact on me with not much screentime (well, at least I have 12 eps) and had me screaming for more - it's Mulan. Of course she does have the advantage of having one of the best animated Disney Princess movies.

Although that's a funny thing here. Where known fairytales got a little twist here and there, Mulan's backstory isn't really touched upon. She wears her armor, is a well-trained soldier/warrior and now travels a lot. It's like "we know you know the movie, let's get on". The one re-occuring thing we get is this fabulous moment when she takes off her helmet and people go "omg you're a girl" and she gets to correct them "woman". A+ Being viewed as a dude and if not getting underestimated is her thing.

An outstanding moment I love about Mulan? In 2x06 Tallahassee Emma tells her to cut down the beanstalk should she not be back within ten hours and also to do everything to get Snow back home to Storybrooke. It's the classic situation doing something dangerous while the clock is ticking. And usually a hero will be like "five more minutes", everything is very close. But we need moments of real tension to undercut the usual. And Mulan is so perfect for this. Because she will honor this agreement to the letter. She is one to ask to follow difficult orders. Snow actually does tackle her to the ground and yes, Emma arrives a few minutes late, then all is fine. But this is the cornerstone of Mulan as a character - give her a task, she will do it, with everything she has. It could even be something detriment to her own happiness or well-being. A character trait that can be a strength and a flaw at the same time. The range! We could have seen this later on if Mulan had stayed. She could have been a person to side with "the reasonable option" against the group of hope-loving heroes even.

That doesn't mean Mulan is uncaring. We got to witness how she fell in love with Aurora, we know she has a soft side. Sure, she protected Aurora, because she promised Philip to take care of her, but that situation became very personal. And omg that scene when Mulan gives Aurora her heart back... has any heart been placed back with such care? Such a sensual scene!

It's soul-crushing they kinda did this to Mulan twice. Robbing her of finding love, watching on as somebody under a Sleeping Curse gets True Love's Kiss, never experiencing that magic herself. But apart from that, when she gets her heart crushed (only figuratevily) in 3x03 Quite a Common Fairy and announces she'd join Robin Hood's band - I did hope she would. She could have been an excellent addition. Especially since the Merry Men could have used more to do (just like the dwarves). That would have been such a fun mix and overall a great way to eventually get Mulan to Storybrooke. That ep did make it clear that Robin would have a bigger role, attaching Mulan to him seemed logical.

I also like that Mulan's first instinct is to not trust people. She sees Neal, she recognized the style of clothing and she is suspicious (great contrast to Aurora's reaction). But Neal wins her over and boom, once Mulan is in your side, you can relax. Such a good partner for whatever errand you have to run. Which is why it makes sense that when Ruby asks if Mulan wants to join her on a search for werewolves, Mulan says yes. (Not like she has anything better to do.) Mulan craves a purpose. Imagine somebody would have introduced her to colorful textmarkers and color-coded itineraries. Belle showed her how useful information out of a book can be, they could have solved more situations together.

his family is in relatively good standing within the town, but he's kind of the black sheep and largely off-putting. he was born pretty late compared to his brother and was absolutely not planned.

didn't really help himself out by being like, one of those sickly runt children. he has asthma, will Usually have his inhaler on him. was kind of a weird kid too, he probably bit people in kindergarten.

considered himself Incredibly close to jeongbin, and considering he wasn't that level of close with a lot of people his death hit him hard (even if he wasn't actually the best of people/friends). instead of drifting away from the woods, he just became obsessed with it. spends a lot of time out there drawing and wandering around hoping to re-find the cabin or the weird rumor-ghost of jeongbin.

he does have like Constant nightmares though. his sleep schedule is whack. he's a freelance graphic designer so it mostly works out schedule wise even if he doesn't make a lot of money doing it.

if he were a dnd character he would have a negative 3 charisma stat. just not great at coming across as confident and put together and the opposite of weird. he also gets attached Way too easily if you let him. he's like one of those people that decide they're your best friend after you hang out at the bar together once. like bro, chill.

bad at regulating emotions in general. tends to kind of swallow everything down until it eventually bubbles up in something large that likely doesn't match the situation.

also not great with boundaries!!!! we could all see it coming.

his family is pretty religious and he used to be but isn't so much anymore. his parents aren't please about it, but let's be real here, they aren't pleased about most of his life choices, so does it matter?

kind of a mess and largely ambition-less. he kinds of just...does what he wants at any given moment. isn't really focused about getting a better job or bettering himself or creating a good reputation in the town. he mostly just cares about the woods and gets kinda anxious if he's away from it for too long (why he moved back, even though his stint away at a university was a better time for him socially tbqh).

okay yeah i think that's kind of the highlight reel along with the linked pages!! i'm open to plotting with everyone. ik he's a weird lil pariah type so no worries if you want a hate plot, i love them as well. and i'm forever looking for someone to punch him in the face (it would be funny, don't pretend it wouldn't be funny).

Hjonesslty,,, prob Malcom & Player,,,,being from something I had never read I was worried I’d like,, not “get” the character,,, but I found them both super interesting!! The overall concept of the AU was so silly but also rlly compelling,,,and the ultimate outcome of their arcs iguess was cool2 me :] Kittle’s redemption and Player’s complete shift in Ep2 were both great :]

Freeman,,,! I initially figured his character wouldn’t change very much and would mostly just serve as liek,,, a foil to all the absurd characters rhat surrounded him, but I was pleasantly surprised and Very excited to see that he had a lot more to him!!!! :D and was rlly prominent in the story !!!!! Esp him in Ep2!!!!!!!!!!! iwanna write more sobad but I keep getting distracted sndliie I may need to skim thru everything again as a refresher,, ihave So many thoughts ,,,,cant form them 💔

Swap is all that’s left!!! It wss so hard for me to put them at 5 becos I rlly like them but I had nochoic e ,,, swap AUs r always so iconic burlike,,, unlike most others from other fandoms, this roleswap AU introduced lots of unique elements to the stories and characters that it became way more than just “what if this character had the opposite outfit and personality!” Which I REALLY appreciate and enjoyed a lot in the story,, esp when it came to Swap themself!!!! Like!!! Aaagh!!! Them being an alien from Xen!!!! Is so cool{!!! I’ll def have to read the original fic eventually becos it seems rlly good,,, anyways!! BEE DYING OF AN LSD OVERDOSE.... incredible. All those comics are cool ty for the go-over! It's really cool how they had a fan creator join the official team :]] most of what I know about sonic is from this cartoon my family had on dvd as a kid called sonic uhhhhhh I don't remember but it had sonic like have two siblings and they were royalty but then got orphaned and became like a band. It sure was.

Sonic Underground! It was made by the same people as SatAM and AoStH but at a later time! It sure was something but I’m still kinda miffed it just got cancelled mid everything so there was never a conclusion to the story.

Silver!! My boi!!

Silver first originated in the game Sonic the Hedgehog, more commonly known as Sonic 06! This game was meant to be an epic 15th anniversary semi-reboot of the series, with updated designs, a new art direction and next gen graphics. The game was incredibly rushed though and ended up buggy dumpster fire that retconned itself in the end, but the one shining star it game us was Silver! (And a banging soundtrack! I attached the main character themes as examples)

In Sonic 06, Silver has Psychic powers that allow him to use psychokinesis to move objects and fly. He comes from the future, about 200 years from Sonic’s timeline and lives in an Apocalyptic world ravaged by a giant fire spirit known is Iblis, which can be knocked down temporarily but never truly defeated. Silver and his best friend Blaze the Cat roam the fiery skyscraper wastelands of the future to defeat Iblis each time he reappears. (I should note, Blaze did not first appear in this game. She had her own game she co-starred with Sonic in, Sonic Rush, in which she is a flame wielding princess from another world called the Sol Dimension where she guards her dimension’s version of the Chaos Emeralds. The only thing in common here is that 06 Blaze also has fire powers. Apparently 06 was supposed to tie into Rush but it got scrapped mid development)

Silver despairs about how they can never beat Iblis until an incredibly evil looking dude called Mephiles shows up, offering Silver a way to stop Iblis for good, by changing the past. He shows Silver an image of Sonic surrounded by fire, telling him that this blue hedgehog is the trigger for Iblis’ release. Silver and Blaze get sent into the past to go kill Sonic but get separated. Silver spots Sonic from a roof but gets blocked by number 1 Sonic fangirl Amy Rose, who really needs to get glasses because she keeps getting her hedgehogs mixed up. She glomps Silver, slaps him for not being Sonic, then drags him off to help her find Sonic after which she’ll help Silver find that guy he’s looking for. Silver and Amy eventually find Sonic, at which point Silver almost kills Sonic before Amy steps in and Silver ends up having a crisis about the morality of murdering someone to save the future. Blaze arrives and tells him they can’t just do nothing because that guarantees their future stays fucked so Silver goes to try to kill Sonic a second time except this time Shadow swoops in to stop him. I should note, Mephiles (evil dude from earlier) looks identical to Shadow because he ate Shadow’s… shadow. So he’s just a greyscale version with no mouth. Silver goes “What the fuck Mephiles” and Shadow kicks him in the head. Then they go to the past so Shadow can show Silver what Mephiles’ real deal is (surprise he’s evil and also one half of the god Solaris, the other being Iblis). Silver, having now seen the Original sealing of Iblis and how to time travel at will using Chaos Emeralds, goes back to the Future with Blaze and tries to seal Iblis inside of himself. This does not work because soul bonding with an ancient fire god has standards and not just anyone will do. Blaze reasons “I have fire powers, this is a fire spirit, let me try!” This works and Blaze asks Silver to seal her and Iblis in another Dimension but Silver can’t do it because he would be losing his only friend in the world, Blaze tells him he’ll be okay and fades out of existence. We do not have a canon explanation for what this means for her, but commonly accepted fanon is that she sealed herself away and when all of time and space reboots itself st the end of the game that somehow forms the Sol Dimension, leading into Sonic Rush.

The issue with all of what I just told you is the aforementioned end game reboot, where all the events of the game literally never happen. This meant that after this game we didn’t really know what was gonna happen with Silver. But never fear! Shitty PSP racing games are here! Sonic Rivals for the Playstation Portable was released not long after 06 and features a different version of Silver, who is trying to stop an evil descendant of Eggman, known as Eggman Nega feom fucking shit up. This Silver has not been to the past before and knows none of the other characters, so essentially we’re starting from 0 again! This game was followed by Sonic Rivals 2, an equally meh game but once again featuring Silver! During these games, Silver becomes friends with the rest of the cast, especially Espio the Chameleon (afaik they kinda bond at the end of the second game over letting Eggman Nega rot in what is effectively hell)

Silver then makes a few sparse appearances as an unlockable character in various games’ multiplayer modes, such as the Riders games and Sonic and the Black Knight. He also made a small appearance in Sonic Colours for the DS, specifically being paired up again with Blaze, who is once again the princess of the Sol Dimension. They do not know each other but feel a certain draw to each other, both being not from around here in a way. They would later be shown paired up frequently in various games, including the olympics spinoffs, Sonic Generations and Team Sonic Racing. Similarly, they’re depicted as decently close friends in the IDW comics, where they can frequently be seen together!

Silver is younger than Sonic, being about 14 and a bit more naive, though he’s a good kid. He is very serious at first, both in 06 and the Rivals games, because he isn’t friends with any of these people and also trying to prevent an apocalypse, but he’s lightened up quite a bit in more recent iterations! He can be a bit overzealous and loud but he also has lots of moments of just revelling in the nature and people of the past, having grown up in an apocalypse. He loves gardening because it feels like he’s helping bring more life into the world

His design is also just really cool, with the boots and the gorgeous colour scheme! His shoe soles are some of my favourites design-wise, they have little turquoise hexagons! (Yes, shoe soles can be a fairly intricate part of a character’s design, even if they’re rarely seen on most characters. Silver is an exception because he loves floating everywhere hshdhdhd)

Silver has a slightly different story in the Archie comics, still very in line with his 06 origins but tailored to the comics. He comes from a ravaged future with only 2 other people who mentor him. His self imposed mission in the past is to find the traitor that is supposedly behind the Freedom Fighters, Sonic’s friend group/allies, falling apart and leaving the world in ruin. He keeps coming back with kinda shoddy evidence, accusing one of Sonic’s friends of being the traitor and is continuously proven wrong, until he stakes his time travel ability on another wrong traitor. He accuses Sonic’s friend Antoine of being the traitor, to which Sonic drags him by the quills to show him Antoine, in a coma after being severely injured while fighting Eggman. At this point Silver is stuck in the past and becomes friends with a few other outliers, like a reformed version of Metal Sonic and Nicole, the city’s AI whom the populace is starting to mistrust due to her artificial nature being reminiscent of Eggman’s entire schtick. Later on time portals start popping up at random, and Silver tasks himself with finding and closing them, as leaving them open could have catastrophic consequences. From this point he pops in occasionally with a time portal to help out the current timeline, slowly creating a better and better future.

✨GEN 1 SUMMARY✨

It only took me... a year and a half to finish the first gen? Hopefully in the upcoming generations, I won't take so long. I will be through with grad school soon and will finally have my free time back! Either way, in this post, we will look back at the accomplishments made by our Generation 1 founder - River Smoke.

Making It In The World

This was... an interesting ride. I love River, I actually based her off of myself back when I was in high school for the Teen-A-Day Challenge back when High School Years first came out. A lot of her friends (who survived my save file purge) were also created by me from this challenge - Havarti Camambert (found on this post), Malibu Waterson (who eventually became Havarti's step-sister), Opal Berry, Koshari Mombar, Hildegard Germaine (all found on this post), Meyer Berry (Opal's brother), Rowan Giles (Rohan, our villain's twin sister) (all found on this post), and of course Ichiban Kasuga (found on this post) who isn't an original character, but is, instead, my favorite character from the Yakuza series.

I had no intention for River to actually start out being friends with, or liking/disliking any of these characters. I wanted her to come across as an unpopular loner, but upon starting the game she immediately became best friends with Havarti and pretty good friends with Malibu, two of the more "popular" trope characters that I'd created! She also had a big crush on Rohan, and didn't like Joe Goldberg (also not an original character, and he's not mentioned previously because he dies pretty early on) and Opal.

After being spurned by Rohan, she went out to the pier and Ichiban came up to her and began yapping, even though I have the Language Barriers mod downloaded and they didn't speak the same language. River asked him to teach her Komorebigo, and they became friends, started flirting, and eventually he spontaneously asked her out! It was so cute I just had to go with it!

It was fun watching her consistently fail at things though...

For kind of a loser character, she had a lot of spirit, and kept a good attitude! Maybe that's why the other Sims liked her so much?

I had started the story with her narrating her life through the social media app SocialBunny, but I gave up on that after a while. I kinda forgot it was thing I was doing (whoops!)...

The story did get wild after a while! I tried to let it go its own direction most of the time, but I steered it to fit a narrative with the main plot.

Some of the wild and wacky happenings of the generation were due to mods. The craziest being the Life's Tragedies mod and the Extreme Violence mod both from Sacrificial Mods. While I actually was wanting something weird and creepy to happen to River via Joe and Rohan, I hadn't planned on him kidnapping her when he did(!!) and then him getting shot was definitely spontaneous. I was actually freaking out when it happened, so I had to write that into the story.

Everything that happened with the other characters was solely due to their own decision-making... although eventually I got so attached to Havarti and Cassandra Goth being River's best friends, that I had to take control of them somehow and made them all roommates from college onward into adulthood... The decision to make Havarti into a cyborg and Cassandra into a somewhat alien was just for fun. It adds a bit of fantasy to the story!

The Goals

The packs that were supposed to be used most in this generation were - High School Years, Discover University, Industrial Loft Kit.

I honestly think I forgot I was supposed to use Industrial Loft Kit, so maybe I'll be able to fit that into the next generation. I also tried to utilize the two school packs, but I think I got so wrapped up in River's story that I didn't do everything I could with them. High School Years glitched out on me a lot, so I can't say that that's my own fault. And Discover University is HARD. I DID use cheats to help River get her degree, because no matter how much homework she did, or how much studying she consistently made Cs and Ds. It was so frustrating!

The three required locations for her to live at were - Evergreen Harbor, Copperdale, Britechester which River did succeed at, living at each of them in order.

While her required trait was Loner, she actually eventually dropped that on her own and gained the outgoing trait, so that was an interesting twist! She still got nervous around a lot of people though, so I'm not sure what caused that.

And she did join the Secret Agent career and work her way up to level 10! So, that was also a success!

Relationship Trees

Before Gen 2, this is River's family tree... Her mom's cousin Logan moved into the family home with her since he'd never had his own place, and he has remained living there since.

Logan's related to Bee (and River) by way of Garrett (River's grandpa). Garrett's brother was Logan's father. Logan has a brother named Henry, who is married to Diana and has three daughters. Cortney is the closest in age to River.

Ichiban's family just consists of his father (knowingly at least). He has a mom who was supposed to be from Sulani, but he doesn't know her.

River's first other "found family" outside of her biological one was Sim Alpha Sigma, the sorority she was forced into by Havarti when they went to college.

Then, when she went off to Mt. Komorebi, she gained two other "found families" - her one with Arakawa Corp. (under the guidance of Ichiban's dad Masumi) and NITCA.

The Next Generation

Now that Ichiban and River are gone but not forgotten... Their daughter Michiko (named after River's coworker / roommate in Mt. Komorebi) has a turn in the spotlight! What sort of wild and wacky adventures will she have? Knowing her parents and their lives... probably a lot! But we'll have to see!
