anyway if the whole fifteen stageplay took place around mid september to november 2015 that gives dazai ample time to have an aphmau phase, as the first season of mystreet went from november 23rd 2015 to march 12th 2016. and the entire series ran from november 23rd 2015 to june 8th 2019, which is still before his 19th birthday.

pssst PSSST hey hey guess what?
noa is the type of dad who would say “i love you” in front of your friends and classmates when dropping u off at school, with like the most deadpan face ever but it’s still filled with love <3
(like miles’ dad from into the spiderverse ehehehe)
and maybe when he’s feeling a bit playful he’ll say it louder and won’t leave until u say it back :))))
ok mwuah byeeee
I watched Across the Spiderverse (for a second time) today so I think it's a good moment to answer this <3 But. Let me add the other Chris, Lavinho and Snuffy as well!
How your dad says "I love you" when he brings you to school
Requests open! - masterlist
Tags: gn!reader, dad!character, reader is a teenager, not proofread
Noa doesn't even realize he's embarrassing you. He drops you off at school every day and with the usual cold expression on his face he says "I love you" and will not let you leave until you said "I love you too." Most of the time, that happens in the car. But sometimes, when you're in a hurry you forget about it because your mind is focused on grabbing your backpack and running to your friend group so you can get to class. That's when your father opens the car window and yells after you, repeating "I love you!" still with the same expression while you're running towards your friends. You have no other choice than to yell it back, which your friends love to tease you about.
Whenever Chris drives you to school, he lets you out on the parking lot and actually walks to the school building with you. Saying goodbye always takes at least five minutes and you've arrived too late for your class a handful of times because sometimes, your dad just can't let you go. He repeats how much he loves you over and over and hugs you so tight you barely get air to breathe. He doesn't care if your friends see and hear it either. If you tell him it makes you feel embarrassed, Chris insists there's no reason to feel that way. He's your dad and he wants to be as open about how much he loves you as he wants, and that's nothing you should be embarrassed of. Although, he tends to get overly emotional, considering you're just going to school and it won't even be long until he sees you again.
Lavinho embarrasses you in front of your friends fully on purpose. When he drops you off at school, he always gets out of the car as well to give you a goodbye hug. If he sees only one of your friends around, he starts embarrassing you by calling you cringy nicknames and repeating how much he loves you loud enough for everyone to hear. He loves to tease you in front of everyone as well. Don't even think about telling him to back down because he definitely won't. Actually, he'd become even worse if you told him to stop. He thinks that as your dad, it's part of his job to be at least a bit embarrassing sometimes. A lot of times, actually. Teasing is his main love language, okay?
Snuffy keeps the goodbyes and "I love you"s in the car when he drives you to school. He prefers to keep that between you and him, just sometimes he forgets about it and because he would hate to let you go without saying it, he quickly opens his window to yell it after you. Only when you turn around he realizes that it embarrassed you because everyone could hear. He feels sorry afterwards whenever that happens and apologizes as soon as he picks you up from school. And still, he can't help but do it, again and again, each time he forgets to say "I love you" when you're still in the car.

As someone who is currently a 19 year old boy, I hereby give Anakin a pass for all the cringy stuff he said to Padmé in aotc. Reasoning: we're idiots, to put it frankly. Still got some leftover puberty hormones going around, messing stuff up, no brain-to-mouth filter, barely an idea even of what flirting is, and seeing a really pretty girl? Yeah, my brain would be absolutely fried as well. Only difference between Anakin and I is Anakin doesn't know when to shut up and I don't know when to talk. Honestly George wrote his dialogue incredibly realistically, because if I had grown up a slave on a desert planet for 9 years I'd hate sand too!
Aha, I really loved hearing your perspective here! With all due respect to teenage boys [I teach high school and enjoy them immensely] you are spot on. xD
I think with a bit of directorial tweaking, that this scene could have been far more comedic in all the right ways. I think allowing us to see Anakin be awkward and gawky, but charming as well and aware that he just said something lame to the girl he likes would have gone a LONG ways for the audience. Just a shot of his reaction, you know, that face of ---oh crap, that was not what I wanted to say---would have been gold. I think they played it too seriously. Because I think Natalie Portman and Hayden Christiansen are both good actors and there was so much that COULD have been done by them in this movie to make it hurt even more by the end of the trilogy.
So all this to say, I agree with you and think they totally should have leaned into your take here.
Thanks for your thoughts! Good to hear from you!

Heyo! Thought I'd send In a silly one for the dmc men
Basically just having a reader who loves doing vocaloid dances (maybe k pop dances too but I feel like vocaloid is a different type of intensity)
And snice this is dmc it'd be fun if they're a hunter who mixes the dance moves into their fighting style
Gn reader is cool but it'd be neat if it was a masc reader snice you tend to get a lot of fem requests, you know, variety (and maybe plays on the dances being seen as primarily girly)
Love your stuff! Have fun!
Thanks! Hope you enioy!
Sparda boys + V x Vocaloid-loving!Reader headcannons
¤ Dante ¤
-So, you like changing your voice with software and/or listening to bouncy, upbeat songs made with said software? Great, so does he.
-It's a little known secret that Dante likes upbeat music with unnatural singing in addition to metal.
-He'll give you recommendations and will gladly accept any suggestions should you have some.
-He managed to get his hands on some vocaloid software with his boomer brain and spent a whole day making auto tuned noise with you.
-Thinks the dances you do are pretty cool, even if they're more "girl coded" than anything else.
-Guess what? He's started doing them too, and believe it or not, he might actually be doing them better than you.
■ Vergil ■
-Being the extremely motivated person that he is, Vergil scoffed at vocaloid and its somewhat annoying, perky beats.
-He first thought of the music as screechy, fake, and irritating, undeserving of his attention.
-Or so he said, for you see, after about a week of you forcing the bubbly, upbeat stuff into his ears, he started to enjoy it.
-Though he'd sooner die than let anyone else know this, he's added a great deal of vocaloid songs to his playlist, alongside Bury The Light, of course.
-He doesn't like watching you do your goofy dances because they're cringe, and they activate his innate desire to destroy all cringiness, which he must now suppress because he doesn't want to hurt you.
-Tried doing one of your dances in private and didn't like how it felt, or how it looked, so he stopped and vowed never to do it again.
□ Nero □
-Nero thought vocaloid was alright. It wasn't his favorite style of music, but it wasn't his least favorite either.
-Nero prefers edgier, borderline emo songs as opposed to this high-pitched squealing, so you'll have to understand.
-Another reason why he might not be so fond of the stuff is because he can't understand most of what the singers are saying, thanks to the language barrier, which, for some reason, bothers him.
-Won't stop you from enjoying it, though; to each their own.
-Thinks the dances you do are so ridiculous and exaggerated, so he teases you (lightheartedly, of course) about them nearly every chance he gets.
-Won't let anyone else do that, though. Nero and Nero alone is allowed to make fun of your dancing, not a single other soul.
● V ●
-V has little to no musical knowledge aside from Classical, so he was very interested in this all-new concept that he was discovering.
-Like a teenager falling into their first nightcore phase, (believe me, I've been there) V became obsessed with vocaloid.
-He listens to every song and playlist of songs he can find, getting really excited whenever you recommend something to him.
-You two gush about your favorite songs, singers, etc. nearly all the time.
-Thinks the dances you do are pretty cute (V is the definition of a simp) and wants to learn how to do them too.
-If you decide to teach him, you'll discover V would make a far better kpop idol than an old-timey poetry nerd.

What are your thoughts on the characterization of the ink demon himself?
In BatDR? Ehhhhh…….
There’s plenty of room for interesting headcanons, especially what with the Ink Demon and Bendy behaving so differently. A lot of folks have imagined it as a Jekyll & Hyde type situation, which is neat, or just an internal Venom-esque “the souls of the innocent/two bagels” dynamic. Or there’s the interpretation that the Ink Demon deep down wants the love and acceptance he gets as Baby Bendy; he’s the same guy, but his emotions have been messed with and he’s being treated differently so he reacts differently, which is a take I actually really like.
Just looking at the Ink Demon on his own, it’s SO easy to read him as a teenager, thinking he’s so cool and edgy talking about his Dark Kingdom, not looking like Bendy anymore b/c hes decided wanting to look like Bendy is cringy and he’s TOUGH AND POINTY NOW – then making The Dumbest Mistake at the end by letting Audrey possess him because he thinks it’ll make him more powerful, and having no idea how to fix it, but still trying to act cool. The idea of BatIM’s Ink Demon being the equivalent of a frustrated child lashing out, and BatDR’s Ink Demon being a teenager who has internalised that he’ll be harmed if he’s not powerful and has embraced being evil and violent and hated as a shield, is an interpretation that makes sense to me. There was this GREAT fanart I vaguely recall but cannot find again of the Ink Demon with a symbolic birdcage in the middle of his chest where the little Bendy rocked peacefully on a swing – Bendy as the piece of him that’s scared and hurt, a piece he’s pushed from sight more and more in favour of making himself more sharp and cruel, but now can’t always hide, is a REALLY INTERESTING thematic concept.
But the truth is that we didn’t get any of those things --
Bendy and the Ink Demon being the same creature is a really interesting development that is literally never touched on beyond explaining how and why it happened. What does Bendy think of the Ink Demon form? What does the Ink Demon think of the Bendy form? Are they two consciousnesses, or the same guy? Really obvious questions that you’d think would be inherently guaranteed to come up due to the premise, but they don’t! Audrey discovers that Baby Bendy and the Ink Demon are the same entity and seems to feel exactly nothing about this? She still supports ending the Ink Demon, even though he’s the little cartoon devil she made friends with and said she didn’t want to hurt… it just seems like there should at least be a conflicted feeling somewhere. The Ink Demon himself is portrayed as Just Evil, and nothing challenges that, to a level that’s so bizarre that it really feels like the NARRATIVE ITSELF is baffled by the idea that anyone might question the basic idea of "Scary Demon Bad, Cute Bendy Good". And I’ve talked before about how strange Joey’s final speech comes across once you notice this, as he brushes the Demon off as an “evil face” while telling Audrey how special and perfect and loved she is, and the whole moment is framed as though we’re meant to be encouraged by Joey, and not wincing at the way he disregards the demon he mistreated and abandoned.
The Ink Demon has been regarded as a soulless, monstrous mistake by various characters throughout this whole series, locked up and now literally, unambiguously tortured because of it, and it’s easy to imagine the story that assertion suggests – one where the Ink Demon’s cruelty is the result of him being cast out and treated with disgust by humans, like Mewtwo or some kind of inky Frankenstein. But in BatDR, we never see any hint that the initial reading of “monstrous mistake” is incorrect. As if locking him up was the correct, smart thing to do, and creating Baby Bendy to trap him and cause him pain was a good move, and the only problem is that it can’t be made permanent.
I think the closest we get to seeing something more from the Demon is his line to Audrey about being a mistake and a monster, “like me.” I really like his speech in that scene… He could simply be trying to manipulate her, but it’s so easy to read as projection, as if the only way the Ink Demon could reveal his own betrayed feelings is by accusing someone else of them. And then… nothing really comes of it. Everyone continues regarding the Demon as a purely evil monster. When the Ink Demon lashes out at Joey, it’s not framed as a reaction to being rejected so explicitly, it’s just… trying to stop him because Joey’s getting through to the Demon’s intended prey (with bonus points for "the wretch is mine" making him feel particularly scummy). You can still imagine he’s motivated by those things, but I really feel like you have to come into the story with that assumption in order to see it there.
This isn’t saying that the Demon has to not be a bad guy for his characterisation to be compelling – like, for example, Audrey could just have a short moment of realising that if Bendy IS the Ink Demon, there must be more to the Demon than we can see – but decide he’s too dangerous to risk giving up the chance to stop him (WHICH SURE WOULD BE INTERESTING GIVEN THE TRAJECTORY OF HER FATHER’S LIFE, HUH). He can still be a violent monster who is creepy at Audrey, tries to kill her, lies to her, and then eats(???) her. He doesn’t have to behave sympathetically for the narrative to acknowledge that he’s been treated unfairly, and the other characters don’t have to give him a chance at redemption in order to be believably good people. But it feels weird that…. the narrative never seems to notice??? Anywhere???? ESPECIALLY AFTER MENTIONING THE TORTURE EXPERIMENTS??? I think Malice’s writing in this game was incoherent, but the narrative’s treatment of her was humane; she’s violent and cruel and has to be stopped, but the character who keeps having to drive a sword through her torso still feels for her and notices her pain. It’s bafflingly wild that Audrey never really gets a moment like this for the demon.

(Day 17. Rodeo. Honestly this kind of plays off a fic I had worked on for my own enjoyment where it was modern AU and Buggy ran a circus. Obv Sunny because I can't think about anything but her. Is it a lil cringy? Hell yes as it should be.)
Growing up in the carnival was something not many could talk about. Sunny was told at an early age that her life was different than others, that she got to do things others didn't get to do. She grew up traveling around, raised by her parents and others, getting the opportunities to see the country like no one else would.
Roger and Rayleigh were good men. They took care of their people. Sunny was five when two boys her age showed up, looking worse for wear, but the owners raised the two as their own. Sunny got to grow up alongside them and it was nice having kids her age to play with.
She worked with Miss Pins, head seamstress, and learned everything from her. Shanks and Buggy worked with the animals. Buggy had a knack for showing off whenever Sunny came by and he always ended up with some kind of injury that she helped tend to. He swears it wasn't on purpose.
As they grew up, Sunny would make an effort to watch Buggy perform. He would always be on Richie, a Palomino With A Personality, and it could often be a struggle to get the horse to go along with Buggy's performances of juggling, knife throwing, or even just going where he wanted the horse to go.
Richie's favorite person was Sunny, however, and whenever she was watching he made a scene of galloping over to her wherever she was at the ring, nosing her for scritches or snacks, sometimes stealing some of her popcorn if she had it.
~
Buggy tied his hair up, grumbling at Richie as the horse neighed at him, though Buggy was convinced he was laughing at him. He was trying to perfect mounting the horse bareback but Richie was stubborn. He moved just enough that Buggy would stumble each time. It was fine, practice needed to happen, but it was embarrassing because Sunny was watching him.
She was given the afternoon off by Miss Pins, the old crone who was in charge of costumes. Sunny started working under her when she was 14. Buggy didn't care for the old woman, she didn't like Buggy very much, but he didn't care. He just liked that Sunny always helped him out whenever he needed a costume piece fixed and the first time she helped Buggy, both 14 and awkward teenagers, she commented on how nice his hair looked that day as she was measuring his waist.
He was pretty sure that was the day he fell in love with her.
That was five years ago. He just turned 19 and was now one of the main acts of the rodeo. Trick riding was his speciality and tonight he wanted to do something to show off for Sunny to let her know he felt. His plan was to get on Richie, ride him around the ring, throw daggers at a board of balloons to pop them, and one of them would contain a flower he would bring to Sunny. It would be perfect.
Sunny was sitting on the grass nearby with snacks and lemonade. She was waiting for Buggy to take a break, but as he miscalculated his movements, he slipped and fell onto his back.
"Oh, Buggy!" She got up and hurried over to him as Richie nudged Buggy's foot. He groaned and rubbed his head, a little dazed, maybe even dead, because he was pretty sure there was an angel hovering over him as she was touching his face. "Are you okay?"
He didn't hit his head, just had the wind knocked out of him. He blinked slowly and looked up at her. "You're a thief."
"What?" She wondered if he had a concussion. It was just them, she should go get help, but she didn't want to leave him alone. "Just rest, honey."
"You're a thief." Buggy managed to say as he grabbed for her hand. "You took my breath away."
A pause, a moment of silence, and Richie suddenly neighed, startling Sunny. He didn't mean that. He hit his head and was speaking nonsense.
"I think you hit your head, Buggy." She said, cheeks pink as she knelt by him. He looked at her, deciding to take advantage of the situation and he scooted closer to her so he could rest his head on her lap. "Do you want me to go get help?"
"Didn't hit my head." He told her as he closed his eyes. "Said you took my breath away and meant it. You sure are pretty, Sunny."
"Oh." She laughed softly and patted his cheek gently. "You're funny."
"And I mean it, you're pretty." He muttered as he relaxed against her. "You stole my heart."
"Hm, I think you're concussed." She told him. "You just told me I took your breath away. Maybe you shouldn't perform tonight."
Buggy opened his eyes and looked up at her. "Would you take care of me?"
She paused and looked at him, stroking his cheek gently. If he was concussed, he might not remember what she was going to say next. It might be just as silly as what he already said to her but she was feeling brave.
"Can I take care of you forever, Buggy?" Sunny asked as Richie leaned down to nibble at Buggy's hair. He swatted at the horse and stared at Sunny, letting her words sink in. "I mean, not just tonight, but forever, I want to take care of you."
"Wait- yes? I mean, yes! That's not a question." He started to sit up but Sunny pulled him back down. "But I gotta perform-"
"Hm, no, I don't think so." She insisted as she leaned down and kissed his cheek. "Not when you claim I stole your heart. I think you need to take it easy tonight. I can cook you dinner and make sure you rest."
He needed to perform but...
"Promise forever?" He asked. "Like, not just tonight?"
"Yes, forever, honey." She chuckled as she smiled at him. "Let's get you to your bed and I'll let your dads know, okay? They'll understand." She looked at Richie, the horse was watching them intently. "You understand, don't you, Richie? You can have the night off."
The horse whinnied. He seemed to like that idea.

OK so I made a Taylor Swift, the inheritance games playlist
The Way I Loved You - giving tfg when Avery was mad over jameson being over protective
I Can See You - such a hot song but also describing averyxjameson relationship perfectly
Bigger Than The Whole Sky - describes Avery and Toby’s relationship so well and just them especially the lyrics “You were more then just a short time” and “Everything to come has turned to ashes” so yeah
Sparks Fly - totally avery talking about Jameson like “you’re the kind of reckless that should send me running” and “get me with those green eyes baby as the lights go down, give me something that will haunt me when you’re not around” and “my mind forgets to remind me that you’re a bad idea” LIKE
Mine - fr just the lyric “you made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter” think about that is literally perfect
Long Story Short - it’s so perfect and also this song can literally be a summary of the romance in the whole series but anyway THESE lyrics; “no more keeping score, now I just keep you warm” and “if the shoe fits walk in it til your high heels break” fits Avery perfectly, she was literally broke and turned into the worlds richest teenager overnight, like she obvi didn’t know everything immediately
Evermore - it’s like sad but stillllll “in the cracks of light I dreamed of you” because when she was in a coma the first thing she heard was Jamies voice and then “it was real enough to get me through” because they never really called it love in thl but it was there (omg that was so cringy forget I said that)
Call It What You Want - literally this whole song is just perfect for them every lyric is perfect but what stood out to me was “you don’t need to save me, but would you run away with me?” Because she didn’t need Jameson to protect her by preventing her from doing things, but she still wanted to do it with him instead
Fearless - idk but there is just something so fitting with the name of this song like jameson literally took her hand and drove her head first fearless “you’re just so cool, run your hands through your hair” also *reminder* Jameson is cool, but on serious note, “I don’t why but with you I’d dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless” bc yes
Mastermind - them. they literally are masterminds. “And the first night that you saw me I knew I wanted your body” also this line “you see, all the wisest women had to do it this way, because we were born to be the pawn of every lovers game” works with how she felt like Jameson just thought of her as part of the game and not a human with feeling in tig
Wildest Dreams - I just feel like they would literally do anything for eachother and this is totally not on this playlist because of the “he’s so tall and handsome as hell” line and it’s also definitely not about Jameson
Lavender Haze - the lyrics are just so perfect like “I’ve been under scrutiny, you handle it beautifully” and “I’m damned if I do give a damn what people say” AND “They’re bringing up my history, but you weren’t even listening” THESE LYRICS OH MY
Midnight Rain (“he was sunshine I was midnight rain” because Jameson is literally golden retriever on the inside and Avery is very chill and yeah this is just me fantasizing soo)
Wonderland (this song literally IS jameson and Avery. Get ready for me to basically quote the whole song “Didn’t they tell us don’t rush into things? Didn’t you flash your green eyes at me? Haven’t you heard what becomes of curious minds?” LIKE WHAT? I’m convinced jlb wrote this romance based off of this song and also “didn’t you calm my fears with a Cheshire Cat smile?” His smile is literally described as “a Cheshire Cat smile” in the first book before Avery starts calling it devastating. “We found wonderland, you and I got lost in it, life was never worse, but never better”
Anti-Hero - literally should be jamies theme song. People always are like “Grayson is so depressed he deserves better” but what about Jameson?? Like he literally blames himself for Emily’s death and basically sh when jumping off the cliff. He always compares himself to Grayson. Like the lyrics “pierced through the heart but never killed” he literally is almost if not just as much broken as Grayson is but he’s just better at hiding it and covering it up with a smile, but I do think Grayson needs therapy desperately like jlb please help him
You’re on your own kid - This song fits Avery soo well like after her mom died no one really could take care of her, I mean I know Libby did, and I love Libby, but it was just different? And also when she inherited the billions of dollars everyone hated her pretty much so yeah. I think the lyric “Everything you lose is a step you take” it just is Avery
Paris (it just relates to Avery and Jameson sm, like the lyric “I’m so in love i might stop breathing, drew a map on your bedroom ceiling” Avery made a point about how they want to go places together. “Romance is not dead if you keep it just yours”
Other ones that I’m too lazy to explain
Style
Vigilante Sh*t
Forever Winter
I Did Something Bad
Don’t Blame Me
Paper Rings (I’m a big xandermax and nashlibby stan)
London Boy
Getaway Car
Miss Americana and the heartbreak prince
Blank Space

TALK TO ME SPOILERS
Tumblr media
Just watched Talk To Me, loved it. First horror movie in a while that actually scared me, that being said though it was VERY predictable.
And I don’t think it needs a sequel. Like a sequel would just be telling the exact same story with different characters, not interesting. If they could make a story continuing from Mia’s perspective as a ghost I’d love it though. But that’s a nearly impossible story to write.
Also one specific thing that I loved about this movie is how using the hand and temporarily connecting to spirits is framed like drug use. It’s the new drug teens use at parties and get hooked on and I just kinda loved that connection. Although I do see some people hating it as it is very cringy to see teens using drugs at party in movies but I think it was handed very well here.
And how the end references the beginning with the dying kangaroo. Mia is heavily encouraged to put the kangaroo out of it’s misery but opts not to, and kinda cruelly leaves it dying on the side of the road. But when she is encouraged to put her close friend out of their misery, she goes for it and things end badly for her. I strongly think she did actually try to kill Riley but had no control of her body anymore and when she throw Riley onto the road, she actually threw herself. Not her opting to throw herself after being unable to kill her close friend. She didn’t chicken out this time and it ended badly for her. It makes me think the writers have an issue with putting people and animals out of their misery, especially since Riley survives this and makes a full recovery. It’s like the writers are saying even if someone is on death’s doorstep they can still very much so recover and if you try to or actually put someone out of their misery, karma will get you. I don’t really believe in this message but I like that they had a message in there that explained the dying kangaroo in the beginning.
And I loved the bad ending. I want to see more protagonists end up as ghosts in the end. I don’t know why, it’s just a cool uncommon concept. That being said, I did feel very extremely bad for Mia and kinda wished she had a better ending.
Maybe this is a controversial opinion, but I hated Jade. She turns her back on Mia so quickly and never seemed like a good friend anyway. Also she treats her brother like shit. Like girl he’s 15, if you’re going to do ‘drugs’ in front of him you don’t get to act surprised if he asked to join in. And you can’t physically stop him, like he’s 15 and I know you started doing that shit at his age. Also how she just stood by looking all sad when her boyfriend was being humiliated. No wonder why he hates you touching him. Why did the writers make Jade so unlikeable?
Also Sue, I think she was straight up abusing and neglecting those kids. Mia seemed like she was parenting both Jade and Riley in the beginning of the movie; until she started playing with ghosts and Sue has the audacity to blame Mia. Like she wasn’t the hired babysitter, she is a teenager and your daughter’s best friend why are you leaving her to parent your kids?? And acting like she’s responsible when one gets hurt?? Like Sue can be mad at Mia was partying with her kids when she made it clear she didn’t want a party but she should be mad at all the teens for being irresponsible. Not solely mad at Mia as if it was her job to keep her kids out of trouble.
Wish Max had more screen time, cause his character made NO sense. But I was real sad when he got stabbed. Like he was running to help his daughter, found her in the same way he found his wife when she died and then she stabbed him 😭😭😭😭😭 I almost started crying in the cinema. He also looked a lot like my own Dad, who I have a complicated relationship with, so his and Mia’s relationship felt so similar to me and my Dad and it hurt
I was simping for Hayley for a lot of the movie. And I’m once again questioning my sexuality thanks to them. I’m hoping to see Zoe Terakes in a lot more movies, I’ve heard they are already well known in Australia but this was my first time seeing them so again I hope to see them again. I’m really disappointed the whole movie was ban in Kuwait just because the actor is gender non conforming. We still have transphobia in 2023? Wow.
Tumblr media
(Credit to @louxkate for the gif)
edit: just found out I’m not the only one simping for Hayley’s actor, Zoe Terakes, which makes me feel better about not understanding my sexuality.
gonna go see this movie a second time now.

Thoughts on the movie? Spoilers welcome lol
Tumblr media
MEAN GIRLS (2024) SPOILERS BELOW
Overall I really liked it! I had very low expectations, especially considering the track list showing that a lot of songs had been cut. That actually turned out not to be true, as there were some songs in the movie that weren't on the track list (Cautionary Tale, Someone Gets Hurt (Reprise), I See Stars). I expected a lot to be changed, but it actually followed the show fairly closely with some changes (they don't go to the mall, for example). A lot of the lines from the original movie and the Broadway show were kept but there's a lot of new stuff too that really made me laugh. Damian has some good one-liners.
Generally I liked the musical numbers, although I found Angourie kind of lacking when it came to performing during songs, although that's not entirely her fault. They changed Stupid With Love to be slowed way down and just like generally low-key and lines like "I am filled with calculust" just don't hit the same when you're singing it softly with no expression on your face lol. I've never been a big fan of Stop but I do wish Jaquel had had some song of his own. He just has Cady's part in Apex Predator now. The new opening song for Cady (What Ifs) was... fine, but I've never been super in love with Wildlife or It Roars so whatever. It seems like the writers never really could settle on what they wanted for that song since it had a lot of changes for the tour as well. They did totally remove Cady's dad's existence with no explanation which was kind of funny. (My new headcanon is that he was eaten by a lion.)
Definitely cannot go without mentioning that Janis is canonically gay and takes a girl to spring fling, and even Damian has a date he dances with! Regina does also tell Cady she likes her although I think they were going for platonic (could go either way). Cady had the exact same reaction to seeing Regina for the first time as Aaron, which was very funny to me. Obviously I didn't expect them to make everyone explicitly gay so I appreciate the little things they did add. (We know the truth.) I was worried they would completely remove the storyline about Janis's sexuality since the trailer showed the burn book saying "pyro freak," but it's still there. They also made Norbury and Duvall a canon couple which was cute.
I think they did go a little too hard on the gen Z culture aspect; I found some of the language was little cringy at times and felt like a cariacture, but I'm also not a teenager, so maybe it is authentic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (any teens reading this please report back to me).
In summary I had a really good time and I have some minor gripes but the bar was really on the ground for me and I'm excited to go back! I'm bringing a coworker this week who didn't know me during MG on Broadway and has never seen or listened to this musical so that should be wild.

The Padded Palace Act IV: Chapter 6
DISCLAIMER: This story contains diaper usage, crossdressing, inappropriate language, humiliation, masturbation/diaper sex, and other ABDL themes. I hope you enjoy!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Gazing into the warm glow of his phone screen, Connor could feel a strange stirring in his lower tummy with each tantalizing art piece Riri scrolled past. From mechanical arms and hypnotic screens to every kind of sissy dress imaginable, it seemed like there was no limit to what artists were capable of injecting their diaper kink into. To think that so many talented individuals were dedicating time and effort to the creation of something that would be primarily used for spank-bank material was unfathomable to someone who spent years of his life convincing himself to be a physics major for financial means. “So like…people get paid to do this or…” he trailed off, his hungry eyes lured into a trance-like state by a barrage of horny images.
“Some do, some don’t. Kink communities are packed with artists, from amateur to professional,” said Riri, who struggled to keep her thumbs from scrolling through her favorites list too fast. There was just so much she wanted Connor to see, and based on the feverish look in his eyes, it was clear how mutual that desire was. Tapping the icon in the top right corner, she opened the log-in pop-up menu, “You should make an account. Then, you can start favoriting stuff too.”
Almost instantly, Connor’s body tensed up. “Oh, uh, that’s okay. I can just look off yours,” he said, glancing away and rubbing the back of his neck. He couldn’t have been easier to read if he tried.
“What? Worried your parents are gonna check your search history or something?” scoffed Riri, jabbing her pointer finger into Connor’s side for emphasis, “It’s an anonymous account, ya dork. Worst thing that happens is you never use it.”
Failing to withstand Riri’s prodding assault, Connor quickly buried his body beneath the poofy comforter. He peeked around the thick blanket, glaring playfully at his obnoxious cribmate. “Fine but no more pokes,” he said, overcome with the fuzzy sensations of Little Space radiating throughout his chest.
A smirk grew on Riri’s face as she cheerfully handed Connor’s phone back to him. “I knew you’d see things my way,” she said, showcasing that she could be quite the bratty Little when Stacy wasn’t around.
Tapping through the DeviantArt sign-up process, Connor decided to utilize an old, cringy email address he had as a teenager. The idea of having random kink messages appear alongside professional emails did not sound appealing. He then entered one of his usual passwords and was taken to a second window asking him to select a username and date of birth. While the latter was no issue, it slowly became apparent how daunting the former was to someone taking their first steps into an online fetish community. Obviously, using any of his gamer tags was out of the question, and to ask Riri for help with something so simple would incinerate his already broken pride. Thinking on his feet, he typed in New2Diapers, which was the first username that popped into his head. Sure, it was simple but he wasn’t about to get caught up in an endless cycle of second-guessing himself. From there, he confirmed his email and was good to go. “Done. Happy?” he said, sticking his tongue out at Riri afterward.
“Very,” responded Riri, scooching forward and sticking her neck out overtop Connor’s phone. Her expression soured as he shifted to shield his phone from her, “C’mon, lemme see.” She rudely reached out to take Connor’s phone, only for him to pull away again.
Holding his phone high out of Riri’s reach, Connor may have been padded but he still towered over the short-framed girl by nearly a full foot. “Sowwy, you must be this tall to access my account,” he said, snickering as Riri tried to scale his arm. Her efforts eventually forced him to stand up fully to keep her at bay, prompting Riri to counter his movements. Their silent squabble eventually came to a head thanks largely to the blanket Connor had previously used as a barrier. Tripping over the crumpled comforter, he toppled down onto the mattress butt first.
*SQUELCH!*
The mushy, pulpy interior of Connor’s diaper oozed around between his thighs and swirled against his sore, yet spry member, reminding him of the diaper change that he was still in desperate need of. The gushy noises that the muck balloon strapped to his waist produced were loud enough that Riri recoiled at the sound. She looked down at his swollen, splotchy-brown padding, secretly wishing her own diaper was equally as stuffed. Shaking her head to snap herself out of the horny stupor she was being lured into, she suppressed her inner ABDL cravings and instead moved to provide aid to her souled comrade, “Don’t know about you but I think it’s about time we got you out of that diaper.”
-------------------------------------------------------------
Placing a towel and a fresh pamper on the back of the toilet, Riri handed Connor a trash bag before clasping her hands together. “I’m sure I don’t really need to tell you how to do this part,” she said cheekily, relishing in how easy it was to turn Connor’s cheeks red, “Last chance to let me change you. Trust me, I’ve dealt with bigger stink butts than yours.”
“I think I can manage but I appreciate the offer,” Connor said, rolling his eyes in a very animated fashion. He considered asking for one of his old pull-ups instead of the nighttime diaper Riri had saddled him with but given the current state of his noxious nappy, his request was likely to meet a swift rejection. In all seriousness, he was grateful to have Riri at his side, especially considering how insane the rest of the Padded Palace girlies were, “Thanks, Riri, for everything.”
Holding out two thumbs-up with her arms fully extended, a sense of pride washed over Riri. In a way, Connor felt like the younger sibling she never had. Regardless of whether his half-awake “Con-Con-nie” remark meant anything or not, she was thrilled to help him on his journey of self-discovery. “I’ll grab some clean clothes while you rinse off,” she said, moving toward the exit but stopping short of closing the door as a lightbulb went off in her head, “Any particular wardrobe you’d like me to pull from?”
Connor froze midway through fluffing out the trash bag as the crimson on his face deepened. Anyone else would’ve thrown another dress or nightie at him without hesitation. Only Riri was kind enough to ask, though that kindness was marred with the humiliation of admitting his wants. Coming up with an excuse on the fly, he fixed his dishonest gaze upon the intersecting lines of the bathroom tiles and responded softly, “L-Latasha says I’m not allowed to sleep in boy clothes…so…yeah.”
Once more, Riri was thrown into a fierce battle with her facial muscles over how wide she allowed her smile to get. “Then I’d better go find you something extra cute,” she said, skipping off toward the nursery and leaving Connor alone in the bathroom.
*CLICK*
Twisting the lock on the bathroom doorknob, Connor expelled the air from his lungs as he leaned over the sink. It was his first time truly alone since midday yesterday and as such, the relief of having some brief isolation was almost as euphoric as anything the girls had done to him in the last 24 hours. “How the hell does Skye do it?” he mused for the billionth time, pondering the various downsides that a perma-Little life would come with.
Goosebumps formed along Connor’s arms and stomach as he grabbed at the skirt of his slightly sweaty sleeper and raised it over his belly. It was time to retire the nightie for the evening, much to his chagrin. Or at least, that’s what he thought. Regrettably, as he went to lift the dress over his head, he felt several strands of hair tug upward as if someone were trying to pluck them from his scalp individually. He panicked for a few moments as the nightie fell back around his body. “Oh, for f…sake,” he said, stopping short of dropping a f-bomb as he spotted four bobby pins knotted up in his hair that had been dislodged by the flowy garment. One by one, he pulled the bobby pins out of his head, wincing as several of the hairs were completely pulled out in the process.
With the bobby pins cleared, Connor was finally able to strip. A subtle melancholy overcame him as he balled up the nightgown in his hands and dropped it to the floor next to the sink. Sure, Riri was already in the process of collecting another nightie for him but this was perhaps his only chance to wear Skye’s favorite. All of a sudden, the isolation that had once filled him with relief became riddled with emptiness and anxiety.
Those unfortunate feelings only grew stronger as Connor hooked his thumbs around his diaper’s waistband. It hadn’t occurred to him beforehand but he was about to undergo another massive first. With Latasha’s permission, he had changed himself out of pull-ups numerous times for countless reasons but never had he done so with a full-on diaper, especially one this heavily used. Stricken by the fear of his muddy diaper dropping to the floor only to splatter everywhere, he considered lying down to take his diaper off but quickly tossed that idea aside as he thought about his butt sinking into his own mess again. The last thing he needed right now was to inflate his squishy diaper-fueled arousal any further. Wrapping his forearm around the bloated behemoth hanging between his knees for support and widening his stance, he prepared to remove the first tape. Blood pooled in his head as he stood hunched over his diaper, growing woozier by the second.
*KNOCK! KNOCK!*
However, before Connor could proceed with his undiapering, a soft banging at the door startled him. “Pssst! Hey Connor,” said Riri, keeping her voice low as she spoke through the door. The padded caregiver remained motionless as he listened.
Holding a folded, powder blue nightie made of taffeta and lace in her hands, Riri bobbed up and down on her tiptoes as she spoke, “I’ve got your outfit picked when you’re ready. I can just leave it on the floor or-”
*CLICK!*
Riri fell instantly silent as the sound of the bathroom lock unlatching echoed through the darkened hallway. Taking a meek step backward, she watched as the door slowly opened to reveal a topless Connor in nothing but a loaded, lumpy nappy.
“I’m…uh…I’m not sure…,” said Connor, his voice barely registering in Riri’s ears, though the shame written across his face spoke volumes,  “...I don’t think I can change myself…”

What was buck’s “cringy stage” ? (we all had them. It’s okay to admit)
Ok I've done a lot of throwing around ideas for this because I feel like this is truly a question that informs a lot about his character lol. Because like, those phases stick with you. I never stopped being an emo kid. Also, he spent a lot of time growing up just trying to mold himself to his parent's expectations.
I don't think that he was an emo or nu-metal kid because I kind of establish that he doesn't like the hardcore music that Fletcher (who WAS an emo kid, btw) was playing. (Not that everyone gets into progressively harder music, but I sure did.) He was also deeply closeted so I think he would refrain from anything that would make him seem like a sissy in the eyes of a manly man like his dad. So no skinny jeans and painted nails. Swoopy bangs are still a possibility bc that was just in fashion.
And I thought, band kid? Should I give him some attribute like "knows how to play oboe?" But that's not really a cringy phase so much as being a nerd in school.
I thought about him having a super christian phase bc I def knew kids who went through that and would like pick fights over it and then like grew up to be nice and well adjusted people later. And it would make sense especially since he was closeted in a homophobic family that he would like double down... but that's not a fun answer to a fun question.
My partner and I threw ideas back and forth for a while, most of which was in person but I do have these screenshots
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do feel like being into Supernatual is one of the most realistic options so far lol because like kinda does fall in line with his whole survivalist shtick in a way. It's like hyper-masculine to the point of wrapping around to being camp gay. It was on air for like 15 years or whatever so def while Buck was a teenager.
Honestly, I could say Buck got into that lol so random/rage comics/bacon and mustaches on everything internet culture because. let he who didn't XD cast the first stone.
I will take input if anyone has any ideas on this bc I think it is a fun conversation lol

Do you know the potential of Kimblee and Rebecca being cousins has wrought on my mind it would be so funny
@theburninggiraffe1213 put this in my brain by reading their fic
For this cousins au these are my headcanons
ok so Rebecca's mom is a Kimblee by birth, a Catalina by marriage. She and Solf are first cousins, their moms are sisters. Super close. Growing up Solf and Rebecca were always at one another's birthday parties growing up, against or with their will. Solf is older and when you're a little kid you think your older cousin is the coolest guy ever. So Rebecca looked up to her cool cousin. Meanwhile he saw her as a bit of a nuisance he had to babysit but even he was charmed by little tyke Rebecca.
Rebecca when she becomes a teenager sees Solf and is like: You're so cringy alchemy boy . And girls hate you. *points a loser sign at him*
Solf is like: I am in university. I will not engage. *maybe 10 mins later when Rebecca won't stop bullying him* *engages* Well you're pushy and you’ll be single forever.
Rebecca launches a physical attack on him.
Solf finishes university and gets a State Alchemist certification. Rebecca flunks out of university and is like I'll go do the Military Academy thing. Might find myself a real man!
Solf: Becca, you repel men. It's a gift. Embrace it.
Rebecca: And you repel women. >:P
Solf: :/ I like men.
Rebecca: Fuck. My sick burn was turned on me. *moment* Double fuck, you’re competition now. *another moment* well, tbh, you're so unlikable only auntie Kimblee would love you. So you aren’t real competition.
Solf: Maybe you should learn alchemy, with the way you're going through men you won't have anyone left in Amestris. If anyone would figure out how to make a homunculus - that's like an alchemy human - it would be you. Maybe a homunculus wouldn’t leave you.
Rebecca: D:< I hope when you go to Ishval you die.
Solf: >:) Struck a nerve, did I?
Anyway this would mean that Riza met Kimblee before Ishval because he visited Rebecca at the Miltary Academy. So when he starts talking like that in Ishval, Riza just remembers Rebecca's words of wisdom: Solf just talks out of his ass because he thinks he's a philosopher. Just kind of nod along and he'll move on because you aren’t engaging him.
Rebecca goes to visit Kimblee in prison only once and it's to do the Loser sign at him in person.

Belated Talk Shop Tuesday - from one Whovian to another, are you going to be writing any more Doctor Who fics and if so, what? Even just any ideas you have floating around??
Ooh, I don't know? I have no specific ideas right now, but it's a never say never situation I think, the last few episodes have been so good, and I do like Fifteen and Ruby very much. I think after the Trickster mention last episode if he properly shows up and the Bannerman Road gang don't there's the possibility I go write that meeting (I think Ruby would like K-9. Who wouldn't like K-9 though?).
I've definitely got Doctor Who on the mind though, mostly who's under that hood- the cloak is certainly reminiscent of the Trickster so somehow connected to him makes sense, but I'm currently leaning to with the Susan mentions and assumptions, it's Susan who dropped Ruby off at the church- though I'm in two minds about how I feel if that means Ruby is related to the Doctor, so we'll see on that. Alternatively with the Doctor's line to Kate about Susan's parents not being born, after all the other references back to him having children (inculding in this series), maybe it's Jenny/someone and Ruby is Susan (though I really don't know how I feel about that)? Or maybe it's Rogue's ex mysterious partner, and all the Susan things were red herrings. Or it's Missy/someone and Ruby is The Master's granddaughter instead. My crack idea is can't see their face for the shadows so obviously it's the Vastra Nerada (spelling mistake here I'm pretty sure) who've escaped the Library, and that does seem like something I might write, though I'm not sure quite on an actual plot yet.
Or possibly if Donna and Fourteen miss the whole thing next episode (and I kind of hope they do, let Fifteen have the whole of the limelight) it might be fun to write what they were up to while all that was going on. Or Rose very much not telling them how her work experience went.
So maybe! Maybe, maybe Ruby meeting Bill and Heather, maybe something with the Ponds... I'm definitely excited about Doctor Who again right now. I did debate a Doctor Who reference in the Flash fic I'm writing, and I have a few more paragraphs so there's still time, they have been talking about time travel again.
But I have no specific plans.
I can tell you about the Doctor Who fic I never wrote though! So this is long enough ago I was just using FFN, was in my teens, and the idea was a Sherlock crossover, basically a really long way to save the Ponds where instead of the Weeping Angels sending Rory back in time they send him to the wrong universe, where he ended up in this kind of role as the Sherlock Holmes character in a double act with Molly Hooper running around London solving mysteries except the answer was always "it's aliens" (with Amy, River, and Eleven all try and find a way to save Rory, and Sherlock and John go do canon stuff in the background completely missing all the aliens showing up). But because it was Sherlock Holmes based, and because of River's book in Angels Take Manhattan it felt right it should be in first person, only there seemed to be a general negative feeling to first person pov in fanfic which made me nervous and I tried switching it to third person but it just didn't feel right and it seemed ambitious and I hadn't been writing fic long enough to feel confident enough I could write it, so it got shoved aside and I wrote other things and then my hard drive it was saved on broke and I lost the notes for it so it never got written, and it probably won't ever be now. But there was once almost a fic that now would be a cringy teenager wrote it crossover and instead it sits there as a reminder not to cave to peer pressure on what is the 'correct' way to write and let it stop you because it's so much more fun to take the writing rules and try and figure out how to break them.
Thank you!

The industry is really pushing Glen hard lately it is kinda cringy because it is so in your face. First with Hit Man and now Twister crediting him with the reason why they had good preview numbers. Again I am not saying Glen isn’t movie stars power or don’t like him it just people are not going to see Twister because of him. Twister is from a popular franchise and made for summer fun movie. Hit Man is a better meter for Glen “star power” if people want is into that. It was free on Netflix, rom-com,critic love it yet it didn’t make top 5. My other problem is they keep forgetting about his lady costars like Daisy and Sydney in their attempt to push him. Zendaya did something amazing with Challenger bringing in the numbers and creating a culture impact yet it is silence on her star power. I think this is why the public are turn off. On my sm at least it is just the media and film twitter hyping him up. You don’t see normal people.
Hmm....I mean, while I can see your point, I kinda have to say.... Glen has actually been acting for a LONG time. He's just NOW getting more recognition and fame. Dude has been acting since he was a teenager. He's now 35! So, you do the math lol 😆
If he's being "pushed" now, it's because he's finally in roles that are getting people to notice him. Are actors just NEVER supposed to be pushed, ever? 🥴
While Daisy and Sydney are great in the films with him, it's apparently GLEN who is shining out as having "star power" in a lot of people's minds. I don't think it's just coz he's male either. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Some people just have "it", and apparently he does. Even when he plays a character that you love to hate, he's STILL charming. He's also likable OFF-camera, which is smthg that I can't really say about JE, who's also been pushed in the media.
Re: Zendaya....
How can you sit here with a straight face and say that Zendaya hasn't ALSO been pushed? Are you kidding? 😂 Zendaya is Hollywood's darling right now. She's also been in each of these articles with her name attached right alongside "Challengers", and the film's success had largely been attributed to her star power. Have we been reading the same articles? 🤔 She's also been touted on the list of "the new A-List". She's won TWO Emmys, and she might get some buzz for Challengers come this year's awards season.
So I'm really not understanding what you mean by she's not being talked about, and she hasn't been given props.
Re: Twister...
You all keep using the IP excuse for every single actor in order to somehow discredit their star power, but the fact is, a LOT of Hollywood films (esp these days) are IP-related. That still doesn't mean that the film would do as well with an unknown in the role vs. Glen being in the role.
Some people might be seeing the movie just for him. He's pretty heavy in the trailer. I'm just saying. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Plus, there are some people who aren't seeing the movie because they miss Bill Paxton, and they don't think the movie should have been remade in the first place. So, just because you remake a film from a popular IP, it doesn't always mean that you'll have automatic fans of people seeing the film.
To me, Glen is in the early stages of becoming a famous movie star if he keeps playing his cards right. 🤷🏽‍♀️ More and more people in the general public are taking notice of him. A LOT of people saw Top Gun Maverick, and he stood out for them in that, so they're checking out his other stuff. Plain and simple.
There's plenty of room for actors in Hollywood imo.

you know, riverdale really doesn't get enough credit for its queer representation
sure there's a bunch of memeworthy cringy moments (mostly from the first season, when it was functionally a different show, but i can't give "it's not queerbait if it's to save the world" a completely free pass even if it is one of the funniest lines ever said on television), and we absolutely should be side-eying them hard for erasing jughead's asexuality (although we might finally be getting that in the current season)
but for all that, there's so much stuff i love
Toni and Fangs being explicitly a queer couple, despite being opposite gender, because the show didn't just forget that they're both bi when they got together. I geuinely cannot think of another example of that on tv, and it really meant a lot to me to see it
Cheryl having lost her childhood to her mother's emotional abuse and homophobia immediately agreeing to foster Britta when Britta's parents throw her out for being gay. (everything season six did with Britta was insane, but for season 5 at least her and Cheryl and Nana Rose were a little gay family and I loved it sm)
Betty figuring out she's bi while in a relationship with a man and that just being some new self knowledge she has, rather than it being seen as a threat to her and Archie's relationship
Kevin continuing to be refered to as Anthony's dad and having a relationship with him, even though he's not his biological father and he and Fangs split up before Anthony was even born. (They were using a friend as a surrogate, the relationship ended before the birth, later a DNA test is done that shows fangs is the biodad, but when he's not being mindcontrolled by evil wizards he continues to have a relationship with the baby - he chose to have this kid, and that's the thing that counts, not whether he's on the birth certificate)
And yes the Abigail episodes are all very silly, but they're also all about how queer people have always been here and will always be here, and no attempt to erase us will ever succeed. and yes sometimes we're immortal witches driven mad and evil by the loss of our one true love, but afterall, don't my evil immortal wlw witch girlies deserve some representation too?
And yes the hedwig episode is so dumb, it's maybe the dumbest of the musical episodes and I'm including the american psycho one in that, but at the same time, it's an epsiode about how drag is important art and teenagers should if anything be exposed to more drag than they are because queer art is important, yes even the stuff with sex in it, and in the current political climate i can't help loving it for taking that stance, even if the songs are all really bad
the show's representation isn't perfect by any means, and yes the fact that it look them 7 seasons to even think about acknoledging that jughead is ace in the comics really sucks, but it also does a lot of things really right, and i just think those should get the same level of attention as the cringeworthy stuff
also "it's not queerbait if it's to save the world" is still an incredibly funny line

One time I had the weirdest (and most ridiculously detailed!) incest-related dream. It was about a fictional anime, and while it's all kinda blurry now, I remember dreaming up the plot of a couple of episodes. I'd like to preface this ask with a big fat TW because the anime itself was kind of... old school in a sense, with ecchi-like jokes and gags that were handled in a very lighthearted way but objectively would have had to be treated as molestation of a teen girl in any more serious work.
Basically, the anime was about this high school student who was also a magical girl heroine. She had to balance her school life and friends with her secret identity while fighting a mysterious supernatural Big Bad and their lackeys as well as more mundane criminal. So far, so normal, right? But the twist was the her sidekick was her father, who didn't have any powers but drove her around to wherever she needed to be to fight evil and took care of her injuries after her battles.
Except... the dad was young, kind of DILF-y, and both a goofball and a total pervert. He perved on his daughter both in her magical girl/crimefighter persona (cheering whenever he got to see a panty shot during a fight thanks to the skimpy frilly outfit she naturally got during her transformation sequence, roping her into infiltrating some crime syndicate's hideout by masquerading as an exotic dancer) and in her civilian identity (trying to get her to wear a maid outfit while doing her chores around the house, gleefully suggesting he should spank her when the stress of trying to figure out what the Big Bad's goal actually was caused her to have a a bit of an attitude).
The daughter was understandably weirded out and embarrassed by his behavior, but it was played less in a "her dad is a creep and she should try to get away from him asap" and more like she thought he was a cringy loser who frustratingly insisted on behaving like an irresponsible kid. There was plenty of slapstick humor where she punched him in the face or hit him with over the head with whatever was at hand to get him to leave her alone, but also a lot of times where she just made comments like "ugh, Dad, I shouldn't be the mature person in this house" or "stop being a gross old man, we're in public!" She didn't think much of her father's attraction to her, but it seemed to be mostly because she wanted to date boys her age with whom to do cute teenage romance stuff.
Obviously, the dad was extremely jealous of any boy who showed an interest in her, but he showed it less by being openly hostile to them and more by getting extra handsy and possessive around them to weird them out and turn them off the idea of dating her and dealing with more of that, or even by tricking them into appearing even more perverted than him. At least until she met a shy, quiet boy who was supposed to be her endgame love interest, who surprisingly took it all in stride, blushing a lot but being very polite to him and still very affectionate towards the daughter at the end of the day.
Eventually, a flashback from the point of view of the dad was shown and it turned out he was a widower and his wife had died when the daughter was a baby. Grief had thrown him into a downwards spiral, not helped by the fact that, because he and the wife had married very young and against the will of their families, they were struggling economically. But taking care of the daughter had become the one light in his life and he had resolved to fight against his despair, get his act together and give her the life he'd been unable to give her mother. Through the years, his feelings had turned into outright adoration, and while the daughter was growing up from an adorable child into a smart, determined, responsible teenage girl, into romantic love. And eventually, when her body started developing, also into physical attraction. He had initially decided not to act on any of it... but his feelings were just too strong to repress them or ignore them, so he decided it would be easier to deal only with the sexual side of things, because he could deal with his daughter refusing him over and over again when it came to that but he feared he wouldn't be strong enough to stand her telling him she'd never love him the same way.
Unfortunately, I don't remember how the story ended after that. But I like to think the dad would have eventually had to have an open conversation about his feelings with his daughter and that, no matter her response, they would have been okay somehow.
Wow, that's so detailed!
It was so easy for me to picture it as an old anime.
