hi guys, i didn’t really have the strength to come here and speak up about the taeil issue yesterday, but it’s extremely important to address this so i definitely have something to say about it.

i was at work yesterday, and i found out about the whole scandal during my 30 minute break, and i was half convinced it’s not real and he didn’t really get kicked out for like the first half of it - it was a shock, to randomly find out a person i stanned and supported for 4 years would be capable of doing something like this. once i realized it’s actually happening and sm kicked him out without a second thought, i understood how serious the scandal is and that no one is exaggerating.

i understand the whole situation makes us all feel disappointed and disgusted, and that it’s a sensitive topic, but i think it’s very important to educate ourselves about this and hold taeil accountable. let’s go over it together.

i saw too many kpop stans spreading misinformation, which in the end negatively affects the victim of this case the most . by making up fake stuff for clout, you only take away the attention from the actual victim who is trying to tell her story and get her justice. we don’t do that over here.

first of all, i hope everyone is aware that this is a REAL issue and that it actually happened. this isn’t a rumour, he’s an actual criminal. the police literally charged him with a sex related crime. sm, who is known for giving problematic people a second choice kicked him out IMMEDIATELY. no hiatus, no nothing. he’s just out of the picture. his bubble got terminated today. he’s being removed from nct zone. all of his album photocards are getting replaced by group photocards as we speak. sm is working hard to separate him from the group image asap. if this doesn’t speak volumes about how serious this scandal is, i don’t know what does. i hope NO ONE supports that man anymore. unfollowing him isn’t something to brag about, it’s just common sense. rapists deserve to rot behind the bars.

i saw a lot of people say they won’t believe it until it’s proven, but what more do you need? it already is proven. the whole group unfollowed him - not only 127, but dream and wayv too. taeyong deleted every picture with him while being in the military. this isn’t sm kicking him out because it will make the group look bad, they kicked him out because he’s a confirmed criminal. “i’m gonna wait until he’s proven guilty” he already is. hold that pathetic mistake of a man accountable.

but what i wanted to talk about the most - for the sake of the victim. let’s not blindly believe every lie we see on the internet and disregard the victim’s story.

- THE ONLY THING CONFIRMED IS THAT TAEIL IS CHARGED WITH A SEX RELATED CRIME. they didn’t specify anything. we don’t know what exactly it is, but i think we can all picture how terrible it needs to be for sm to kick him out of the company without a second thought.

- the investigation has been going on since june, but no one except the police and the victim who reported him knew. taeil of course knew he’s guilty, but he didn’t know he’s under investigation, and neither did sm or the rest of the nct members. they all learned about it - according to sm - in the middle of august, AFTER the last 127 fan meeting. so no, it’s not like they knew and included him anyway. it’s not like taeil knew he’s being investigated and went there to meet fans with a big smile on his face.

i’m obviously not saying this to protect him, but let’s not make it seem like all of the neos already knew and just kept being best friends with a rapist, especially in front of people who support them and love them. they didn’t know, and neither did the company. as soon as sm found out (from the police), he was out of the group.

- none of the rumours are confirmed. i’m not saying they can’t be real, but since it’s not confirmed, let’s focus on what we know (let me repeat myself) - taeil is guilty, sm and nct learned about it in the middle of august, he got kicked almost immediately. the police also confirmed the victim A is an adult woman, and no underage victim of the same gender is involved in this case. they said they won’t reveal any information about the progress of the case so the victim’s identity stays anonymous.

but what does it really mean ? there was a rumour about taeil raping an 11 year old girl to the point where she’s now permanently disabled, and abusing her for 6 years and hacking her phone so she couldn’t report him- NOT CONFIRMED. this case also isn’t about her. the victim who reported him is an adult woman. this doesn’t mean it can’t be real, or that there aren’t more victims out there, but it’s not the case that is being investigated right now.

people are also saying that taeil’s car accident didn’t actually happen, and that it was this girl’s grandpa/family member who broke his leg when they went to beat him up for what he did to the girl and that the car accident was just a cover up - also not confirmed. people are probably just trying to gain clout.

the @ agnes_121430 instagram account has been commenting on taeils ig posts since june, but she also posted about her case getting closed today, so she isn’t the actual victim in this case. she also said she never actually met taeil face to face (?).

taeil also isn’t involved in the burning sun scandal (yet, because once again, it’s not confirmed by any relevant platform) but this doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t bring it up again, because the chance that he or other male idols are involved is still there. korean women are suffering, we need to keep bringing this up.

same thing is with the Nth room, or any other similar telegram group chat. the Nth room is a group chat where you need to PAY a high fee to even get in, and the members of this group chat literally record women without their consent and even without them knowing and then sell the videos in that gc. random women, but even their FAMILY MEMBERS. they also make deepfakes of women - their sisters, mothers, they don’t care. they also target schools and the girl students in there. they threaten the girls to record themselves doing really fucked up stuff and then send it to the group chat, or just straight up drug them, touch them without consent, rape them… you can look this up. this scandal is about taeil, but this is also about what do the korean women have to go through, the mentality in south korea is insane. it’s not only a kpop issue, but also a human rights issue, and we need to address it.

also, there’s a rumour the Nth room members are getting exposed tomorrow. this isn’t true. if you see anything, it will be 99% made up, and bored kpop stans will just drag idols without any proof.

everyone needs to understand that we don’t really know these people and we never know who else is involved in stuff like this - i really hope no one in nct knew about this and that they aren’t involved, but this is such an unexpected reality check that it’s still hard for me to grasp it and decide what to believe or not. in no way i support taeil, but wow. it’s crazy what men are capable of, while acting like they’re the biggest sweethearts in front of other people.

let’s hold all rapists and people who SA people of any gender and in any way accountable, and expose all celebrities if they ever did something like this. no one wants to support criminals. taeil needs to pay for what he did.

Hob is great. Normally Dream can handle breakfast, it's the one meal he has a reasonable grasp on (pour cereal, pour milk, burn toast, make more toast, etc). But at weekends Hob comes in to do a special cooked breakfast like pancakes, omelette, vegetable umpa, oats idli (which is Dream’s new favourite thing, its the only thing he can stomach in the morning and it fills him up properly). Hob is fun to have around and it really feels like a family breakfast, which is great for Orpheus. He's really coming out of his shell and it makes Dream a little misty eyed.

Most of what Hob makes is cooked and frozen to be heated up later, but he insists on doing fresh meals occasionally. Dream is convinced that Hob just wants to make sure that he eats, and he's not as annoyed by that as he probably should be.

"Good food is my love language." Hob explains with a shy smile. "It makes me happy to see people eat."

And Dream tries to convince himself that Hob is talking about Orpheus, there, but... he's not sure. Sometimes Hob gives him steamy looks across the kitchen that Dream wants to melt right into.

Maybe he should ask Hob to make a romantic candlelit dinner for the two of them. ANYWAY-- enjoy this incredibly long post! I'm sorry if there are any typos, I don't feel like looking over everything (T-T)

how to get your equipment (kinda)

It's pretty easy to find shops that sell dragon riding equipment in cities-- but in rural towns and villages, this kind of equipment can be almost impossible to find near you.

If you are not starting off as a noble like me, buy your equipment within the first week of school-- actually, no, get it ASAP. You should, ideally, start looking for equipment after you retrieve your egg (you need to get your egg as soon as you get to campus).

What if you don't have the equipment by the time you need to start using it? You'll be left out of lessons, standing off to the side while your peers fight or fly, which will absolutely tank your grades.

You should have your equipment before the first month of school ends.

If I have a month to get said equipment, why not wait?

There are lots of dragon riding equipment shops, but not all of them are of good quality. Roughly half of the students attending Aethergarde will not be nobles, on top of that, nobles will commission the best shops-- especially luxury brand shops-- to custom make their armory, saddles, etc.

This makes the dragon equipment market rather busy around this time of year.

BUT

I'll help ya'll out, though, I can't promise you'll be the only commissioning things from these places.

school supplies list

let's start with the obvious, you'll need either an enchanted fountain pen, a regular fountain pen + ink, or some quills and ink. Quills and ink are cheaper, they're the equivalent to like, wooden pencils. Fountain pens have the same reputation as mechanical pencils. Enchanted fountain pens are really trendy! Definitely also get a set of gum wax, aka waxers (erasers); kids like to call them gummies (fruit gummy resembling snacks are called jellies here!)

You should get basic stuff like loose parchment (loose leaf paper), an academy bag (a backpack, highly recommend a messenger type bag), and writing books (notebooks to take notes in)

dragon mounting gear: includes such things like a saddle and reins, very similar to horse gear

wind-breaking charm OR riding goggles OR a riding visor: Wind-breaking charms are pretty hard to find-- I mean it's not impossible, but it's just not cheap. Riding goggles are an old rider thing, they aren't used much anymore. Riding goggles look like your typical steampunk-esque goggles. If you want a physical facial wind breaker, get a riding visor. Riding visors look similar to ski visors, but the glass lookin part tends to be tinted orange due to a strong sunglasses effect.

kinda like this ^^^^ but w/o the gas mask; if anyone's got a better idea for this btw, plz let me know!

I'm still in the works with this aspect.. mostly bc I feel like the visors don't fit the fantastical aesthetic-- but I didn't want to immediately default to using magic and charms because I want the rider uniforms to be more unique than the typical 'fighting leathers', yk? Idk, maybe the décolletage cover is unique enough.

Other sight wind-breaking options:

wind-protectant eyedrops: these are rather new (has been released to the market a year before you shift here) the liquid is runny like normal eyedrops when you put them in your eyes, but the substance begins to form a film over your eyes. The film feels exactly like contacts, so it's easy to forget the substance is still on your eye. The film only lasts for a few hours (the film will eventually dissolve), and does not do any damage to the eye. To manually remove it, use the 'antidote' eye drops (wind protectant eyedrops and antidote eyedrops are sold in a set) to lubricate your eyes, then after blinking a few times, remove the film by softly pinching it out of the eye (NOT WITH UR NAILS, USE THE PADS OF YOUR FINGERTIPS!!!). The downside to these eyedrops is that they do not protect against the sun; though, sun-resistance eyedrops are starting to come to the market. You must make sure the sun eyedrops are wind-protectant friendly, or the sun eyedrops won't stick to the film, causing the sun eyedrops to leave your eyes too quickly. These eyedrops are also pretty expensive, but it's still less expensive than rider grade wind-breaker charms.

rider grade sun-resistance charm: A lot of people carry these around just in general, especially during summer, but the one's you should buy should be rider grade. Rider sun charms are stronger and are made to be used when you're flying in the sky for long periods of time. Sun charms need to be replaced every few months; all sun-resistance charms have to (legally) have a label that gradually changes to black-- the darker it is, the less it works. It typically starts to darken after two months of use.

fighting attire: Unfortunately, it's not ideal to fight in aethergarde's uniform-- But, it's not like it's impossible if you take the outer coat off. Speaking of uniforms, Aethergarde provides a fighting garment set that comes with the formal uniform (the pretty one). You're required to wear it for fighting lessons, including outside missions; in your third, fourth, and fifth years, you can start replacing elements of your uniform with better material. Why not simply allow students to get their own fighting garments from the start? Students need to know how to fight wearing armor made for higher ranking riders-- the material is different from lower ranking riders' uniform.

a weapon: you'll need to have chosen a weapon before the end of the second month!

optional riding supplies

décolletage cover: Main purpose is to provide warmth for the face and neck area without compromising movement. It's highly recommended-- plus, you'll look cool. Many décolletage covers are charmed to always be warm and protect against harmful gases.

often looks like this but less kinky looking and the bottom part is fitted to the chest-- also not all of them have this same design, but they all do cover the same areas.

riding gloves: helps you have a better grip with weapons or to your saddle. If you're planning to sleep on your dragon while it flies, there's a little belt mechanism that you can loop through the front of the dragon saddle that attaches your hands to the saddle. This helps keep your body from sliding off the dragon during flight. If the front of your saddle isn't comfortable, you can loop the belt through any belt buckle on the dragon; the most common place is around the bottom of the dragon's neck (pictured in the 2nd pic). It's best to get black gloves, but brown can also work.

the highlighted yellow area is, relatively, where the most popular glove attachment is (for napping). There'd be more belts and stuff around the dragon btw, I just didn't feel like doing all that shit.

belt vial holder: you can place travel sized containers of potion bottles in the best + you can attach charms to the belt too

flight bag(s): This bag can be easily attached to your dragon's saddle, most saddles can hold up to 2-4 bags. Bags in general can be tailored to become flight bags, but it's best if the bag has some sort of tight buckle-- you don't want your bag to fall open when you're flying around!

these kinds of bags are common riding bag designs! if you have a smaller satchel you like bringing around, you can put it inside of one of these bags

how to get your equipment (actually) pt.2

Like I mentioned earlier, it's better to buy rider equipment in cities rather than villages and small towns. During rider season, it won't be uncommon to see a bunch of stalls along the streets selling rider stuff.

Getting stuff like academy bags, belt vial holders, and travel bottles from stalls isn't a bad idea, but it's always best to get your most important equipment from an expert with a good reputation.

Unless you know the crafter is great at making everything-- extremely durable saddles, reins, weapons, and fighting attire, you should go to shops that specialize in each part.

recommended shops:

Since common street shops will be busy this time of year, I'm going to recommend you some underground shops.

I cannot guarantee that these places will be completely empty, as they're all well-known in their own right, but they all will be able to cater to you before all of your deadlines.

Make sure you bring the actual school supplies list with you!

middle steed

Name: Aadam El-Hussein

Specialization: dragon saddles, belts, and flight bags

Summary: After his father's arthritis in the hands started becoming worse, Aadam took over Middle Stead. His dad still helps around at the tannery though! As with all the shopkeepers, Aadam and his father are extremely passionate about their jobs. Don't be afraid to ask for any innovative features; like if you think you'd sleep a lot on dragonback, you can ask Aadam to make the saddle more comfortable for you to lay in a certain position. If you're extremely worried about safety, you can always ask to have other safety features implemented in the design.

To get here:

Find the Dragonmead Brewery in Itresal (the city Aethergarde Academy is located in) the alehouse is located on Millmount Street.

There should be a space between that brewery and the bakery next to it-- go down that alleyway and pass two wooden doors. When you get to that third door, knock; either an old man (Aadam's dad) or Aadam himself will open the door

From there, you can order a saddle and all the appropriate equipment you need

Some tips:

Get another saddle commissioned by him every two years; dragons grow relatively fast, so simple tailoring won't always suffice

You can put off getting saddles until your dragon near rider flight age

Instead of bringing your dragon to Middle Stead, bring him into Aethergarde. He'll need measurements to make a proper saddle

Any metal (like in the buckles) should be plated with a matte coat or cold black iron

storm forage

Name: Reynard Ulysses

Specialization: Dragon rider armor and rider fighting attire

Summary: Reynard was born into a rural farmer family, but after his older brother ended up being a rider, Reynard moved to Itresal with his brother. Since Reynard was often tasked with preparing hide, he decided to work at a local butcher shop to help his brother financially. Oftentimes, his brother would come home and complain that he needed to replace his fighting garments. The two of them couldn't afford to keep buying cheap fighting attire, so Reynard started learning how to make it himself. Eventually, he started selling his products to other people-- over the years, he's honed his skills, and became known in underground spaces for having great fighting attire.

To get here:

Go down the alleyway between Steel Whim (blacksmith) and the Loving Fowl Inn

Walk straight until you reach a fork; walk through the rightmost path, then go left at the end of the path

Name: Yessuf Yohannes Tarik

Specialization: rider goggles, rider visors, cloaks, aerodynamic magitech

Summary: Yessuf is the only one out of all the merchants so far who was born of noble status; however, he left home to escape from the classic noble lifestyle in his early 20s. He no longer wants to be a noble, and simply identifies as a commoner. Yessuf was particularly driven to escape his luxurious life to pursue his passions and sell his products at a more reasonable price. Ever since he was young, he had a strong affinity for engineering, but when magitech came around, he took his passion to a whole different level. Though is not a dragon rider, he was always fascinated by dragons, this spurred him on to make technology that would aid riders. Yessuf is an innovative prodigy; Yessuf's shop is most likely to be busier than the all of the ones I've mentioned so far.

Find The Pioneer Brewery and ask for a "vermond tea served with a stick of sweetbark"

The bartender will ask you to come to the back to see the new selection of sweetbark; follow the bartender, they will take you to Waning Moon

Some tips:

Literally every single product this guy sells is amazing. Not a single one is bad, he puts in a lot of effort to make everything he sells as good as he can make it

Only sells wind-resistance charms on the weekend, but sells wind an sun-resistance eyedrops Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

His wind-sun resistance eyedrops and his wind-resistance charms sell really quick

if there's something you want that he doesn't actively sell, like, perhaps... a flying ship.. you can commission him to make one, but you will prob need to provide him with a lot of the materials

You should get wind-sun resistance charms here; they're cheaper because Yessuf does not base the price on existing market value

the dew drop: potion's shop

Name: Katherine Dowenstein (Blonde lady), Lorelai Dowenstein (Brown hair)

Specialization: Potions, tonics, elixirs, balms, herbs

Summary: Katherine Dowenstein grew up in an orphanage. Despite that, her life was rather peaceful growing up. Since she loved going outdoors, cooking, and baking, her caregivers often remarked that she'd be a great apocathary when she's older. Determined to meet their expectations, she began learning all about different plants and potions through both books and experience. When she was older, she decided to work in a potions' shop, but hated the restrictions placed on her. Kathie grew to hate her job, and her love for potions waned, but it wasn't until she healed a child who was thought to have an incurable disease secretly by giving the child tonics Kathie believed had a chance at helping her through her illness. That child was Lorelai; after she recovered, Lorelai begged to become Kathie's apprentice. By Kathie's request, Lorelai lied and told her parents and everyone else that her body simply fought the virus on its own. Kathie didn't want a lot of people knowing about her skills, as she didn't want to be confined by strict regulations any longer. Kathie started her own potion's shop; Lorelai helps her out.

There's two different ways

One way is to find Lorelai; she frequents a bread shop called Crumb Hours at 8AM-10AM to read a book and eat before she goes to work (Mon-Fri)

Ask her if she's reading Time of Barbury by Guinevere Roth; she'll say yes, and she'll ask you to join her on her walk back to The Dew Drop at 10AM

Another way is to find the way to the shop yourself

To do this, go to the same bakery that Lorelai likes to go to, Crumb Hours, and go down the alleyway located between the bakery and Utred's Lenses

Go straight down until you reach the area where the path deviates; go left, continue down the path until you come across a fork

Go down the middle path; then knock on a door labelled The Dew Drop

Notice that the area is not the shop is not selling any potions-- only herbs

Lorelai will answer; tell her if she's selling the book Time of Barbury

She'll nod, and she'll take you down a trapdoor, which you lead you to the actual store

Once you see Kathie, you know you're in the right place

Ok so do note that the regulations placed on potions and tonics are there to (obviously) make sure that potions and stuff are safe to consume, but since it's so strict, it's hard to be innovative, and use different kinds of ingredients and recipes to make potions

You'll need to go to a shop that specifically caters to your weapon type; if the store sells weapons that aren't closely related to each other (like swords, bows, and scythes), it's unlikely that to shop is of the best quality. if a shop sells only daggers and swords, that means that the people making the equipment are actually specialized in making those weapons. Since there are so many weapon types, I don't think I can make shopkeepers for each!

Kasier absolutely loves gingerbread, so Christmas is often his favorite holiday because now he has a reason to make it!

In contrast vicky absolutely despises it, and actually associates chocolate chip cookies to Christmas. It's one of the few things they don't share a like for.

Disco kid, without fail, starts playing “all i want for Christmas” on repeat right after Thanksgiving and only turns it off new years.

He's the reason the boxers can't do holiday songs for their bouts during Christmas (like they would have changed them for one month anyways)

Hondo typically goes back to Japan for Christmas, Don't get him wrong he likes the rest of the punch out gang but he gets really homesick during the holidays and frankly doesn't want to be a downer on everyone.

Bear hugger is the one that got the Christmas tree, which is odd because last anyone checked there wasn't a place that sold real pine trees around there. At Least not one as big as he brought.

Don and Carmen spend the entire holiday season decorating everything, even adding mistletoes.

Those were removed after aran burnt one on purpose (he was not in a good mood that day)

And yes there are green and red roses everywhere too.

Speaking of aran, Christmas is the only holiday where despite his pranks he still gives meaningful gifts.

However that still doesn't stop him and ardin from seeing who can get who the most out of pocket gift ever. This actually became tradition after ardin got a gift that was meant to be a fuck you to their dad who died a little under a month before this, and it was labeled “from: aran.”

Christmas was pretty hard with soda since he was used to people just giving him stuff he never wanted. Then someone actually explained it to him and got him something he wanted. He liked Christmas since.

The same unfortunately can't be said for caff.. actually she out right refuses to acknowledge the holiday and calls it “the time of year to give gifts and decorate the place.” solely because one year it gave her a mental break down with her being his clone.. you can't exactly think she would love the holiday after that.

Super macho man. He is definitely wearing a sexy santa outfit lets be honest. Oh and he bought everyone expensive jewelry because he remembered last minute to get gifts.

Amelia is the exact same way but make it more.. Florida. Needless to say they have someone helping them plan the Christmas party.

Heyyy….how ya doing….its me…💛 Before I start with my request, I find it imperative to let you know that you have inspired me to start writing my own TØP related story. It’s only for me right now and I currently don’t plan on posting it here or anywhere else for that matter, but maybe as it grows that will change (it’s multiple chapters after all).

Anyways, due to the band deciding the middle of a concert was the perfect time to drop a crazy amount of lore implications, I’m on a lore kick…🎉

Okay, but this one I think could be fun and fluffy, especially with how you write torchbearer. Could you do a oneshot where the reader and torchbearer are in an established relationship and torchbearer takes the reader out on a “date night” in trench. Personally, I think this would include them sneaking away from the Bandito camp for a bit, but if you have a different vision feel free to do that one. I just feel like, even though torchbearer can seem like a stickler, he can be a real softie at heart and, especially for those he cares about, he tries to make life in Trench feel more normal when he can.

I hope this ask makes sense. I know it’s a bit vague, but I also feel like it could be fun to see how you interpret it. If you don’t want to do it, that’s all fine. Don’t stress. ❤️

A/N: HEYYY! Hope you liked the lore fic (I was excited to write something as soon as I saw the prompt and started to write pieces of dialogue down on my phone asap. Tyler’s little lore kit was so cute imo). I love that I’ve inspired you to write your own thing! Hopefully you’ll still want me to write tøp stuff for you. This Torchbearer idea is awesome :) Also… wondering if you’ve read my Blurryface fic? I’m so proud of it and have a feeling you’d like it. And if you’re into the lore you should try Break the Cycle, it’s a Clancy x Reader fic. 

The sun had set in Trench and the Bandito camp was silent as Torchbearer and I returned from our patrol. Every night we wandered through Trench looking for escapees–not that they were very common. We’d gotten news recently that the Bishops had locked down the borders, set up extra security and boarded up the catacombs. I thought about Clancy, how he’d been taken back to Dema, how none of the Banditos had heard from him in months. But tonight was special. It had been exactly one year since I’d escaped Dema. 

As we hiked back up to the camp Torchbearer reached out and grasped my hand. 

“Wait,” he demanded, keeping his tone low and trying to not wake anyone up.

“What?” I stepped towards him and he let out a relaxed sigh. 

“We should do something for your anniversary. Something together, me and you,” he started walking away from the camp and out towards the hills. I followed him, feeling like I was running due to his large steps. Torchbearer and I had been together for six months, both him and Clancy helped me adjust when I first arrived but Torchbearer had really been there for me. He checked in every day, offered to take me out on patrol, and even asked me about my time back in Dema. Despite the fact that I didn’t want to talk about it, he seemed to know exactly what I needed. 

“Come on, we really shouldn’t. It’s not that big of a deal,” I whined. Torchbearer chuckled and continued to lead me up to the top of a nearby hill. 

“It is and we’re doing something,” he stated. I rolled my eyes and continued after him. We passed patches of yellow flowers, reminding me of the first time I met him. I had run as fast as I could through the catacombs before escaping out the other side and a small patch of yellow flowers was the first thing to greet me. That and a man in a green hoodie with a yellow bandana covering his face and yellow tape strapped across his chest. Little did I know that man would end up here with me a year later. Eventually he stopped and sat down, pulling me with him. I positioned myself between his legs and he wrapped his arms around me, yellow flowers surrounding us. I remembered when he first explained the significance of the flowers to me, I had no concept of the color yellow and it took a while for me to figure out all the different shades. The Torchbearer pointed out in the distance towards a small blue light. 

“See that?” he asked and I nodded, squinting a bit to see better. “That’s Dema.” I hadn’t seen the city, even if it was on the horizon since I’d left. It shone beautifully, as if it were safe–as if the Bishops weren’t keeping Clancy held there.

“Is it weird to say I miss it? That I miss my friends?” I held the Torchbearer’s hand and snuggled in closer to his chest. It was warm, raising and lowering with every breath. I couldn’t help but feel guilty that I missed the city, that people were still suffering in there and I wanted to go back. 

“Not at all,” he hummed, pressing his lips to my neck. His lips were warm against my skin, trailing from my collarbone and up to my jaw. “I’d miss it too if I still had people in there.” I ran my fingers through his curly brown hair, feeling every bit of the love he was showing me.

“God I hope Clancy’s okay in there,” I shuddered, trying to not let my thoughts go dark. Torchbearer pulled his lips away from my skin, giving me his full attention. He knew that every night in our tent I struggled to fall asleep, my thoughts darting from scenario to scenario. 

“He’s stronger than you think,” he reassured. “He wouldn’t want you to worry, Y/N.” I knew he was right–the Torchbearer knew him better than any of us did. 

“I love you,” I whispered, untangling my fingers and turning around to face him. He smiled softly at those three words before returning them. 

“You know, when I first met you all I could think about was how cute you’d look in yellow,” he started. “Clancy knew straight away that we’d end up together. I don’t know how he knew but he would tell me every time we were alone that I should talk to you.” He brought a hand to his pocket and pulled out a yellow piece of fabric. His eyes were filled with love and I couldn’t help but blush at his words. “This is the bandana I wore when we first met.” He handed it to me and I brought it up to my face. It smelt just like him, like hope. “I want you to have it, to wear it. I heard earlier this morning that Clancy has made it out of Dema and onto Vøldsoy, which means that sooner rather than later he’s going to be back–that the battle with the Bishops is fast approaching. I want you to have this because I want you to have a piece of me Y/N.” Tears of joy poured from my eyes. It was the best news I’d heard in months. Clancy was coming home, the battle with the Bishops would put an end to everything. The Torchbearer had trust in me. 

“He’s coming home?” I sniffled. 

“He’s coming home and soon, you’ll be able to go home to Dema–you’ll be able to save your friends.”

Medical TMI stuff

Going to try to knock out the 24-hour urine collection finally. I kept starting menstruating as soon as I decided "Tomorrow I will do this." and then having very long, erratic periods with unpredictable start and stop dates.

According to the chart I have 2 days until the next one which means I'm likely to start today but who knows and if I keep waiting for the perfect time, I'll never get it done.

I'm having symptoms of something being wrong with my kidneys again and want to get this done ASAP instead of waiting longer, too.

I'm getting the twinges on both sides, had bad smelling urine one day after work, am hot and sweaty a lot, and am losing hair again. The eye wells in my skull are very, very visible, too.

I checked my temp and I'm still slightly hypothermic. I never did get back up to 96.8 after being at 94.6 for years and tend to float around 96.1 to 96.4, now. I was 96.1.

I do not WANT to do this test, though. It's inconvenient, for one. I have to pee in a little pee catcher thing that sits on the toilet, not spill it getting up, not spill it transferring it to the bottle, not spill it setting it down again, etc.

I also have to remember to get the bottle before I pee, because it has to be kept in the fridge, and if I don't have the bottle with me, I'm more likely to knock over the collector and spill the sample trying to go get the bottle and come back.

Because I'm clumsy.

There's a bottle of pee in my fridge. I do not like that. I don't want that in there. Food is in there.

I told That Guy I was going to do it today and he was like "But you have work..." I don't generally pee at work unless I get a lunch break, and today is a shorter day so no lunch break. I just have to remember not to pee when I get off work and walk home, which is fine. I usually do need to go around that time, but as soon as I start walking, it's not bothering me.

It's going to be very bothersome today, I'm sure, just because I have to wait until I get home.

Season 2: Episode 15 "Lost & Found"

I find it so highly unlikely that all that crap is Jess's. If it can barely fit in Luke's apartment how the hell would it have fit in Jess and Lizz's New York place along with Liz's stuff? Especially with all the implications that Liz wasn't particularly financially stable so I assume they had to move around, no way Jess took all that shit with him. I read in a fanfic that Liz just sent random shit she didn't want/ex boyfriend's stuff along with Jess's and that's why there was so much so that's my new headcannon which I'm stealing from them.

Lorelai and Jess not getting along is interesting tbh bcs I would say they're pretty similar characters, Lorelai is more loud and self-centred where Jess is more broody and destructive, but they have so many things in common. They both have parental issues, they both love Rory, they both love Luke, they both have ADHD (they told me themselves, trust me), they're both sarcastic and snarky, they both like movies, etc. But yeah anyway idk.

I think some strides could've been made in this episode because Lorelai was being pretty friendly when Jess arrived and Jess didn't seem outright hostile, more like uncomfortable. They even seemed to be getting along before the dumb bracelet thing 😔 I love their little chat, Jess informing us Stars Hollow High is still there (thank god, we were worried), Jess talking about throwing a ball at a jock's head and admitting he's not great at small talk, which I think could only help in furthering his relationship with Lorelai because it helps explain a little of his initial awkwardness and comes off as honest, possibly beginning to gain Lorelai's trust. Until the following events of course.

I despise Lorelai coming in with accusations immediately, she doesn't ask, her mind is made up. Imagine if Jess hadn't taken the bracelet, I mean we know he did, but ugh. The implication that he broke into their house to steal Rory's bracelet maliciously is insane though, Lorelai is seriously unhinged. She needs to see a therapist, but not for her, for the sake of the people around her. Jess picked up the bracelet that Rory dropped and kept it. Morally correct? No. But I don't even know if he knew it was made by Dean, more likely the girl he kind of liked left something behind and he kept it as a sort of souvenir. As soon as he realised how important this bracelet was to Rory and how distressed she was over losing it he returned it, it's really that simple.

Jess has commited a few acts of petty theft but I really just don't think that his intentions were to hurt anyone in this case. Lorelai is borderline delusional, she needs to come back to reality asap. Lorelai consistently gets involved in her daughter's relationships in a way that does WAY more harm than good. She may act like a fifteen year old most of the time but she needs to realise that she's an adult and Jess, Rory and Dean are a bunch of teenagers who need to be able to make their own mistakes and learn from them without her unnecessarily getting involved.

I love scenes where Jess is too genuinely shocked or any other emotion to be snarky and I always get a little kick out of Luke breaking the wall and Jess standing there like :o However, I do have to agree with what I've seen some other people saying that it maybe would've been good for Jess to have his own room, his own private space where he could just hang out and have a little privacy and, hey, maybe the wall would've muffled the music he's always blasting. Especially because Jess seems fairly introverted, only ever really talks to Rory and Luke, so maybe he would've benefited from somewhere where he could recharge his social battery.

Like, there was a period when I was a teen where I wasn't allowed to close my door and my mum slept in my room with me and I had no privacy and it was incredibly detrimental to my mental health. I'm still afraid of closing the door in case my dad barges in to yell at me. Ig it was a little different bcs I was a 'suicide risk' or whatever so there was some reason for it but with Jess really there's no reason he shouldn't get his own space when they expand the apartment.

Other thoughts:

"Hey, Luke are you being attacked by your possessions again?" Is one of Lorelai's funnier lines imo. Along with:

"You have a sock on your shoulder. Is it helping you look?"

"...Well, his people skills are really improving."

"Give me the book." "Give me the pancake!"

Damn, Lorelai is on fire today. Too bad she sucks in the second half of the episode.

Jess needing the music on to sleep is so real of him tbh.

When Jess says the verbal thing comes and goes ig it could be interpreted as him being sarcastic but I never interpret it that way. He's so real for that.

I'm sorry to say there really isn't a way for customers to know. There's barely a way for me to know, haha. It's the kind of thing that I just have to make decisions about as I go, so usually those decisions will happen around an upcoming round of preorders. But I generally try to either offer one last restock or one last chance at preordering for any designs I've decided to retire. So if it doesn't say [RETIRED]/[LAST CHACE] then eventually it will return, even if that return will end up being the last time (at which point it will say [RETIRED]/[LAST CHACE]). If anyone's worried about a specific design, you're always welcome to ask about it! For Vetiverfox designs, pretty much all of them do really well. It's more a question of "when" rather than "if", but right now I only know two "whens": -First, the jester joggers we just ran preorders for. Preorder fulfillment for those will happen next month, and then sometime afterwards we'll release the extras. However, because we're going to close the shop for a break pretty much all the way from Thanksgiving until Christmas, "afterwards" will probably mean right at the end of the year or the start of next year. -Second, Demon Joggers will be available for preorder alongside The Fall Collection (preorders will run from the end of Oct to the middle of Nov, more info coming soon) Also just as a warning, there's a lot that's going to be even more of an unknown than usual as we approach the new year. We're planning to move out of Texas when our lease is up in February. So combine that with this month/next month being dominated by the big collab collection we're working on, needing to do fulfillment for jester jogger preorders in November, our long break in December, and then fulfillment on The Fall Collection in January, and there's just not a lot of chances left to run other preorders or drop new stuff or release restocks before we have to pack it all up to move. There's a lot I'm not gonna know or be able to make solid plans about until like.. March of next year 😅

Novelember day 30

Mind vague again... fades out.. i hate this! It's the worst. I didnt even sleep badly. But the really light sleeping where you're almost awake for hrs... hope its just trazodone withdrawal and it'll be gone soon. I love mind/creative things most and when my mind isnt working i cant do them, can't be myself 😡

i wanted to write but all i did was edit what i wrote yesterday. And edit the whole chapter... so that did take a couple hours. When i first read what i wrote yesterday i thought i need to totally revise this.... but it did have some good stuff in it i think and not as bad on second read after i weeded some things out of it. If i totally took it out it would've been anticlimactic to the mini arc. Now it's good to take a small break and absorb what happened, as i usually do after a chapter/really intense part/sort of separate ish section like an arc. That's what the characters would do. Need to see how it will affect them going forward. It is sort of a dress rehearsal for the end.

I want to do that quickly but also do it justice... i may not write totally daily like November but i reallly need to finish this asap, get more going. Momentum, rhythm... not stop but rest in between waves... get next story going asap... research a lot... while getting other essentials into a pattern.

Total for November: 22,000 words (more because thats just from totals of finished chapters. I usually cut a lot more than i add)

Included in this package that is just for you are armies coming out within society to pull you in and we are part of those armies we don't want to be grabbed by them and we do need our demons because you people are rather useless and that's an idea of some people and they are going to proceed with it and if we get captured it will be most likely the Mac proper that prevail and people don't want to see it at all due to past sins so in the movie Joe Black he has initialized this program otherwise he would never be able to stand near that guy and it is a fact. The temple is increasing and we do need time and we need them up keeping in mind that they raise the others this will be a focal point of the higher-ups of the Mac proper and the foreign s who already frequent Italy very often and undercover they are investigating these top level demons because it is a serious threat to them and they are going to do so continuously in Italy bja heard about it and said these people are going to raise those things to protect themselves and we need in and we need to know about it and you put it that way and he also said nobody is going to protect us but these guys will be busy protecting themselves or just losing so we need to make sure that they at least say independent they stay independent for now and he ran to work and Trump started to follow and Trump returned to grab the bikes and he went in grabbed the bikes and took off and is having other people fix them and it's true and yeah it might be BG the one who put them together and our son says a very nice bikes and boy did they get ruined and I'm angry that they're ruined. The Great Escape Update: Rider Signs vid later, donno when but soon

All the Dragon Riders Signs that I've revealed on here so far have been fairly simple, covering only a phrase or concept. I'm doing reworks on the parts of the escape that I've already written and realized I just had Arya using just regular gesturing for a spot and wanted to get more Riders Signs out there, so I did the whole phrase she was trying to communicate. It's got more movement than the others, so to get it across I'm thinking of doing a quick vid of myself doing the signs.

I'll be wearing a facemask and sunnies and if I figure out how to cover my face in Flexclip then I'll def do that too (lmao I'm a writer we don't do face reveals) so it'll look a bit odd but there's no face based signs in this one so it'll be fine.

I've not yet gotten any new stuff written for the escape. I've added some things in to reflect the concept I put out yesterday, and I'm adding in another paragraph or two for the state dining hall, but otherwise I'm still lacking the main parts of...

Those are the points I want to hit with Part 1 at the least. For the first time in MIC history, I am covering canon timeline events beyond just Brom and Murtagh figuring out that they're gonna have to work together. And damn it, if I'm going to do this, I'm going to DO THIS. We're going through Fighting Shadows, through A Warrior and A Healer, and a bit past that to have Arya wake up. I really, really want to have her official introduction to Eragon, Saphira and Murtagh written at some point, but I'm not sure it'll be done in this massive batch. She and Brom need to have a talk though. Technically Arya needs to be debriefed, which usually wouldn't happen in the field but Brom needs to know some things and Arya has her own questions that need answers ASAP. So interaction between them is on the table.

I've got so many things in my head now that are vague and very slippery. This is getting long just for an update but it's more of a ramble now, so why not. Here's another list! This is mainly stuff that I want to see/get written that involves Eragon and Co. traveling to the Varden and the basic day to day that happens. It's not as mad dash as the IC canon, it probably takes them 2-3 weeks, with the last week being more in-line with what we saw in the book speed wise. They do have the urgal army heading to the Varden behind them, but they manage to mostly evade and shake off much of the parties from Gil'ead, and only have to dodge search parties from other towns that were activated after their escape.

Alright, things I wanna see:

Saphira and Arya interaction. Saphira's vaguely familiar with the feeling of Arya's mind, as well as the touch of two others she can't place, and is curious about what it was like when she was being carted around Alagaesia.

Brom, Eragon and Saphira continuing to help heal Arya's wounds. Healing sessions, short in duration and only enough to make sure infection isn't setting in. Larger bursts of magic could attract unwanted attention. We'd get to see more of/reintroduce the MIC 'Conduit Casting' magic system.

Brom being a very gruff, 'she's fine, she'll tough it out' type when Eragon, Murtagh and Saphira are up, but when he and Arya take watch he's our favorite aggressively caring dad again. 'No buts, we're scrubbing those out. Don't be such a baby, bite on this. No, no, you sit down, shut up, and we're going to start breaking up that scar tissue before you're more curled up than birch bark. There, was that so bad? Now drink your juice, I added the sport drink powder, you need to stay hydrated.'

A stop at a lake/river to replace the very old, very outdated and obsolete 'Hotel Pitstop/Sleeping Arrangements' fic. Everyone gets to take a swim, get clean, Saphira gets to do her water dragon bit, everyone just gets a refresh and a moment of relaxation as best they can.

Eragon pestering Arya to teach him a few Riders Signs. Brom's reluctant, as he and Arya have been using it to communicate silently and without the risk of the rest of the party catching wind of their convos about their 'friends in Ellesméra' or more sensitive Varden business, but Eragon is quite persistent. Saphira eventually chimes in and convinces Arya to teach her and Eragon the basics, so that if another instance of her being selectively mute comes up then they can at least understand some of what she's saying.

Uuuuuuh...yeah I think i've run out of steam with this so we'll just leave it here for now. Cheers!

my aunt died and we had to wait 3 MONTHS for a funeral because of her autopsy and stuff. her young son (around 5) started to kind of move on and get used to the idea that she wasn’t going to be around. then, by the time her funeral came around, he was a hot sobbing mess. withdrew into himself and it was decided he wouldn’t go, but this made him worse.

i felt bad for her partner, but funerals need to happen straight away, especially when they’re not being cremated. people’s lives go on, the brain starts to process the trauma and then suddenly it’s there, again.

no i’m sorry that sounds so tough :(( i hope your cousin is doing better :( but i agree though funerals need to happen asap. my grandpa was cremated, that’s why the process took a lil longer but still,, we had to wait even longer so we could fly family here so they could attend. idk the whole thing was just so much, it literally went like this: he died on friday 28th, i said my goodbyes over the phone so i had to process that and his death, that weekend. next weekend i was allowed to see his body before they cremated him and that was so rough ngl. then the weekend after i get a break from everything so i’m like “okay, this is fine we’re going to be fine” only for the following weekend for the funeral to finally take place and causing everything to resurface back again. 😖😖 i’m taking my time with grieving so don’t u worry! but honestly though i just wanna fast forward to months from now. this year was so damn shitty and i’m ready for it to be over 😖
