I hate being a person who loves bugs, I can't say anything without the person I'm talking to reacting with disgust. Today I had to literally beg a coworker for the life of a spider, and then after I put it in a nook outside she thought it'd be funny to show me a video she took of her killing one. Like idk man. Birds scare the shit out of me but I still get why people love them. They come in pretty colors and they sound nice and they're interesting to observe. I don't understand why people don't feel the same about bugs. The rich amber color of a cockroach, the iridescent glow of a fly, the intricate hydraulics that power their little legs, the chirp of a beetle, the art of the spider's web... It's all so beautiful. Why is it the habit of so many to destroy?

the thing about many comics is that they will list female characters at the VERY edge of underweight for their height (or just straight up underweight) and then list male characters at the edge or well into overweight for their height and blame both on “muscle.”

Dick Grayson at 5 ft 10 and 175 lbs (general canon average) is overweight by BMI. Cassandra Cain at 5’5 and 110 lbs is underweight by BMI. and I’ve seen female characters as tall as 5’9 getting down to 110-115 lbs in canon estimates.

carrying extra muscle rarely means carrying less weight overall. Dick Grayson might be a BMI outlier for having more muscle than the average human (making his slightly overweight BMI arguably healthy) but being underweight and carrying a higher proportion of muscle than the average human rarely benefits women.

time to get real, DC. I want my 5’5+ women ripped and somewhere between 130-150. If they’re carrying more muscle, it just makes sense. if it’s for “agility” then why is Dick Grayson allowed to be overweight by BMI?

It’s kinda vague idea but way back when, Joel tried to be a lil baddie and go test his skills on an anarchy server or Smth

It didn’t go well, and at one point when he had run out of energy and reverted to his fairy size, he was caught by a “collector” and pinned down with regen dipped needles 😔 Lizzie saved him and beat ass and he healed and she held him close and LUCKILY his wings were saved but that’s where he got his chest scar (there’s one on his back too from where the pin went all the way through!)
